alternate scenario where the rebels continue to think the whole thing is a wacky coincidence and that Darth Vader has mistaken Luke for his actual long-lost son

decide this is too good an opportunity to pass up, send Luke in as an undercover agent

Luke ''''pretending'''' to be Darth Vader's son and faking going along w Vader's attempts to turn him to the dark side like yeah i love anger & hate let's do this. can you show me how you do that move where you throw people in the air with your brain.

he is secretly feeding information back to the rebellion all the time constantly

a number of Vader's underlings are pretty sure Luke is a rebel spy but everyone is too afraid of Vader to argue with him on it

Vader meanwhile is desperately trying to train Luke while keeping Palpatine from finding out his son is still alive. Luke wanders in while he's mid imperial conference call and gets tackled to the ground.

after a couple of months Vader decides Luke has had enough training for the 'we should kill the emperor and rule the galaxy together' speech

Luke (who has in a weird way kind of got to like Vader at this point) radioing the rebellion like guys call me crazy but i think we might be able to get this guy on side

The way this was supposed to be Hayden Christensen's week, the true arrival of the Haydenaissance. By the time they’re married and she finds out they’re gonna have kids and she’s preemptively filling out family medical history paperwork, she just glosses over the whole “I don’t have a dad” thing Anakin probably told her assuming they can fill it out later when he gets his records, not realizing the two of them were having different conversations because okay yeah, her sister had children without having a partner involved in the process, poor people on Tatooine must apparently have access to that technology too, Shmi’s business is her own and it’s not like they can ask her anymore, logical, logical. My favorite Luke Skywalker headcanon:

His favorite and most used lighsaber form is Ataru (Form IV)

I have a few reasons for that as well.

1st and most important: he was Yoda's Padawan.

2nd: I headcanon Luke being a little.... um-hum, short. Around 5'5, and in my mind, if you are short Ataru just seems to fit? It kinda compensates your lack of muscular strength and height in a duel, with fast and calculated moves. (My opinion)

3rd, but no less important: I just love to imagine him jumping and spinning in a deathly dance no one can get too close without the chance of loosing an arm.

Okay if Din and Luke were dogs what breed would they be and why?

lol in all seriousness im not too sure! as a dog lover i am woefully under informed about different dogs breeds and the such! i think for din id say a husky or an akita? loyal, hardworking and sturdy! i think those are all things din as a person values, so it translates well! for luke id say an australian shepherd, strong and fast, devoted to their families and surprisingly agile which i think fits with lukes jedi-ness!

Oh boy, Leia joining Luke on this little adventure would be extra fun.

Mace would adopt Leia approximately three seconds after seeing her in action during a Palpy/Senate angry shouting stare down. He can feel how she takes everything in her that could lead her to the Dark Side (anger, grief, etc.) and channels them into motivation to improve things for those in need of help across the galaxy. He feels how much she cares and genuinely wants to do right for her people and those who suffer under oppressive hands. And he’d go, “Yep, she’s one of mine!”

in fics where luke gets plopped into the prequels i want every jedi within ten metres of him to think hes the weirdest jedi theyve ever seen. he has negative lightsaber form. he doesnt know what a kata is. he handstands when he meditates. his solution to sith is to try and have a chat. hes a political radical who keeps suggesting revolution. you ask him what the jedi code is and he says "kindness and compassion and helping those in need :) ". you ask how he used the force like that and he says some shit about how you are a luminous being limited only by your mind. the councils authority is just a suggestion. he is somehow the new favourite of both qui gon and yoda
