funnily enough, your fans were the first people to suspect that something was happening between you and sevika-- only they suspected it months before you OR sevika even realized you had feelings for each other.

once you publicly announce your relationship, your fanbase goes crazy, absolutely ecstatic that you two managed to get your shit together.

sometimes, you and sevika will scroll through your #shipname on social media, watching corny edits of the two of you interacting. it always makes you both a little sappy and weepy-- you guys really are a cute couple-- even when you didn't realize you were a couple yet.

sevika keeps her position as your personal guard, but you add an extra personal guard to work with her on her shifts, to cover her watch when she's distracted by admiring you, or take over as first when you ask her to attend an event as your date.

of course, the media loves your relationship. sevika's comfortable with the cameras when she's working, when she's not the star of the show, but she absolutely hates the idea of all eyes being on her.

so you do one joint interview on night time television to address your relationship, and that's it.

sevika grips your hand the entire time, shaking in her boots. you answer most of the questions for her, and she spends the interview lovingly watching you effortlessly charm the crowd.

there is one question she takes though.

"when did you know you were in love with one another?" the old woman behind the talk show desk asks. sevika perks up with a smile on her lips and speaks without hesitation.

"first time i saw her sick." the audience laughs, but you don't-- you've never heard this before. "i'm serious. i knew i liked her for a while, but i thought it was just because she was always dolled up and on her best behavior when i was around. it's her job to be likeable-- i thought she was just good at her job. and she is, don't get me wrong. but the moment i knew, we were staying in thailand and she'd gotten horrible food poisoning. i remember coming to her hotel room to check on her. she answered in her pajamas, barf dried on her mouth, her eyes crusty from the nap she was taking-- she looked horrible. and when i saw her, i still felt that exact same relief and excitement i always did. and i felt it the rest of the night, too. even when she threw up on me." the audience 'awwww's. sevika smiles.

you promised her you wouldn't do too much pda in public-- it makes her uncomfortable to have so many people watching. but when you hear this, you just have to lean over and press a firm kiss to her lips. she doesn't seem to mind. the crowd goes wild.

your manager insists you have a big wedding. it's not sevika's thing, and it's not yours either. but you're a star, and sevika's the love of your life-- the people want a wedding.

so you plan something big. something wild and extravagant, with hundreds of paparazzi out front of the venue, and the most prestigious of your collages in attendance. your cake is taller than sevika, your dress is more a sculpture than a dress. it's all a lot. neither of you want it.

so the week before your wedding, you take sevika on a little getaway. you pack her favorite black suit, and your favorite white dress, and you drive her out to a small little retirement town where no one recognizes you.

you elope.

you marry in a tiny courthouse in the middle of nowhere, your witness being a grumpy old man who'd come to city hall to pay a parking ticket.

you both cry when you exchange ring pops (your real rings in your manager's possession until the wedding) and your kiss gets so nasty that your witness nearly has a stroke.

you spend the rest of the week in 'honeymoon' bliss-- fucking in the tiny hotel room you rented out, only leaving to hit up a greasy diner and nourish yourselves before returning to your love nest.

by the time your real wedding comes, you and sevika are both so fucked out and drunk off love for one another that you don't even notice all the fuss surrounding you.

it's just sevika, looking gorgeous as she stares at you on the altar. that's all you see that day. just. sevika sevika sevika.

the media notices. there's an article published about how there's only a handful of photos from your wedding and the following reception where you and sevika aren't lovingly gazing at each other, like you're the only two people in the whole world.

there's no photos from your real honeymoon... but there is a small gossip article where one of the housekeepers who was working in the hotel you both stayed in claims that you and sevika were, 'goin' at it like fuckin' rabbits.'

your manager tries to get it taken down, but you don't really mind... it's not like the kid was lying...

So what are your thoughts on Remus x Barty.

Im not quite sure they could work together so that’s why im writing them together but I see Remus as a more sane Evan. And a tiny bit more of a loser.

Barty is fun. You know him quite well, anyway.

It’s like rosekiller but at the same time I can never see Remus handling Barty well, I think for wolfstar angst it would definitely work. Where Remus went with Barty (because Barty and Sirius do have a similar style. Just Barty does it better) and Sirius is really jealous. That’s where you could add Evan. Because Sirius and Barty, and Evan and Remus. My mind is all over the place so I apologize for how much of a mess this ask is.

Barty would be a toxic ex for Remus. They tried it, and it never really worked out. Unless there were others. Like if you added other people it could work, because the main thing pulling them apart is that Barty is much too insane. Other people could handle that part, and they could actually be happy.

Maybe Evan would work. I’m not sure, but that is not my point!

Barty is energetic and Remus is not. So it works like a family dynamic (which probably isn’t good for a relationship) so all that aside, now I’m wondering about friends. Because I think it’s all or nothing. But at the same time there’s so many factors to think about.

i must admit i’ve never thought about it before…but the way you’ve phrased it here has definitely piqued my interest. i’m a loser!barty truther, and i see him as the kind of guy to skip merrily over to a dungeons and dragons club after giving someone the best sex of their life. i see him and remus as somewhat similar in that sense (they’d both be classified as ‘weird’ in an american high school), and they’re mostly separated by the fact that barty is extroverted, and remus is not (↤ take this with a very generous pinch of salt). barty wears his ‘loserness’ with a sense of unbothered flippancy; he does not care that his interests are stereotypically ‘weird’, and he will happily ramble on about the latest instalment of whatever vampire comic series he’s into at the moment (whilst blowing vape smoke into your face). on the other hand, remus is somewhat more self-aware- he’s shyer and much more awkward, and definitely extremely self-concious. however, i do still see him as having that same cruel streak running through him that is very prominent in barty’s character, to an undoubtedly lesser extent, but nonetheless present in him as well. remus can be cruel when he needs to be, whereas barty is cruel when he wants to be.

the idea of barty being remus’s toxic ex…yeah. this is the option i’m leaning most towards in terms of a ship between them, because barty crouch junior is the ULTIMATE toxic ex. he might as well have written the goddamn rulebook on it. with ships like bartylily, bartylus, they all work sm better (for me) with them broken up, and i think it’s safe to say i will be adding bartyremus (we need a proper shipname for them) to this list. i can see them meeting at some sort of convention, maybe hitting it off (barty talks!!!! and remus listens!!!!), but, as you said, barty is a bit too insane for remus. i think barty could unlock that aforementioned cruel streak in remus, he could bring out the worst in him. and i think this would scare remus away more than anything barty himself could do- remus leaves because he starts to hate himself, not barty (although he eventually hates barty for causing it). ie- it’s not barty throwing a plate against a wall that ends the relationship, it’s remus.

a lot of the time i like to think of barty as a foil to james, but it’s also really interesting to now think of him in comparison to remus. in the grand scheme of things, they’re not THAT similar (hence the generous pinch of salt mentioned above), but i can see them being drawn to each other due to similar interests or whatnot. i don’t see them as working particularly well as friends, but barty as That One Ex-Boyfriend? who makes remus roll his eyes when his name is mentioned? who sirius despises with a burning passion? who will hit remus with the “u up?” text at 3am? yeah. i can see that very clearly.

I need more roleplay partners

This is an active attempt at making people want to roleplay with me, because I just need more active ones, other than the one that I currently have (they're irreplaceable for sure!)

Now, my main genres are romance (usually the base), fantasy, action, medieval, sci-fi, gore, even angst, just no slice of life. I accept anything MxM, FxF, NBxNB, FxNB, MxNB, shipping OCs is cool, I really lean into the fantasy aspect with my OCs, but I mainly ship specific things from fandoms (I am quite sure that you will recognise at least one of these, trust me). I find gore completely fine and I come for drama, as long as it doesn't come out of nowhere. I write in a weird mix between semi-lit and literate. If I keep myself short, I either don't know what to write or I am preoccupied with something else at the moment. 18+ stuff is good too, I am 20 (I am a pure bottom, but not all that I roleplay is submissive, most of them stand their ground quite well). I am a very creative person, who will most likely find a plot in anything, so if you want to add things aswell, just let me know! My timezone is MET (Middle European Time), which mean that I am German.

- G : probably his fight. It looks like a movie ! The beautiful scenery, the mentor and student clashing their weapons in the same fighting style, and of course the MUSIC ! (if i lack sleep and focus too much on the way the voices go down on "misereTE" i WILL cry)

- L : also his fight ! Despite the difficulty it's one of my favorites. Beautiful music as well. I also adore the calm of his english dub, it's one of the few I really prefer over the french one !

least favorite thing about them :

- G : how little we get to actually speak to him. I understand it's on purpose (we're just another hunter, why would he try to bond with us if it's gonna end the same as with the dozens that came before us ?) but it still frustrates me ! X)

- L : hard to say. sometimes i fear i don't see him as terrible as he may have been, but "may" is the key word here - he's nuanced, how much good and bad there was is up to each's interpretation and I consider this question to be canon-only

gehrence + ludrence* are a hard tie, following a similar dynamic due to the common denominator, but with their distinct flavor since they happen at two distinct points of the timeline. gehrmaria's a bit behind for now but as I've said earlier I'm hoping to bring it to the same level 😁 They're all so beautifully tragic, with a lot of tenderness but also a streak of unhealthy dependance, doomed through and through. basically i wasn't kidding when calling them the World's Worst Polycule(tm)

random headcanon : let's talk families ! Wolves have been hunted to extinction in Yharnam's region by the time the story begins in Byrgenwerth, and the person who shot the last one is a relative of Gehrman (his dad probably). On Laurence's side, only his mother is "known" (air quotes because he's extremely discreet about her, like everything in his past). Even in their homeland, she stood out, nicknamed La zorra/The vixen, and that reputation extended to Laurence who looks a lot like her. Her death (unsure circumstances yet) was the final thing that drove him to leave his homeland after getting his licence.

unpopular opinion : for Gehrman it's obvious, for Laurence i have no idea. X) i'm a hermit so if discourse doesn't appear directly on my dash i'll have no clue about how is it over there...

What makes Usopp so shippable for you (or even overall, what do you enjoy about Usopp's dynamics in his gen/romantic ships)?

He was one of my favorites from the little I've seen/read of OP, so I'm curious to know your thoughts!

What a cool ask! I have an old post both on Tumblr and Dreamwidth about Usopp's emotional role among the Strawhats in general and his platonic dynamics with Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Chopper in particular. The Dreamwidth post is available here: https://rainsometimes.dreamwidth.org/167329.html . In romantic ships, well, when it comes to Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Sanji, I would just add romantic and sexual attraction to the platonic foundations mentioned above. With Luffy - Usopp is up for silly shenanigans and while he will veto the most bizarre ideas Luffy might come up with in bed, he's likely to caught up in fun flights of fancy. I view Luffy as pretty uninterested in dominance play in the bedroom and I think Usopp would be all on board with that, too. They have a really strong bond in canon and it would be a silly and for the most part - if not always - harmonious ship. (Naturally there would be plenty of slapstick violence when Luffy is being idiotic.) With Zoro - the chill relationship I mentioned in the old post would serve them well in a romantic relationship. Now, I do think that Zoro is someone who will always place Luffy's dream and wellbeing higher than anything else, but I actually think that Usopp is similar to Zoro in that regard, and so it makes good sense to ship them. At the same time that they are mostly pretty chill, there's also an interesting potential tension there especially tied to them both being so much engaged in the idea of being a "warrior", with inner and outer strength, pride, and masculinity - but not in the combative way that Zoro and Sanji have. -That being said, I also think Usopp/Sanji/Zoro makes for a spicy yet ultimately functional three-way-ship.

With Nami: they are just such good buddies and they're easily tactile and it's not that hard for me to see them in a more physical and sensual light. Nami generally doesn't seem to be into dudes but I can see Usopp as her one exception. ...Except I also like both Luffy/Nami/Usopp and Sanji/Nami/Usopp! Look, Usopp is just so great for OT3 ships. With Sanji: it can easily be seen as bros with benefits, but they also both have a romantic side in common, even as they're both heteronormative enough to have assumed that romantic side will be directed towards women. Sanji/Usopp can have a delicious yearning undertone, whether mutually or not. With Robin: here the maturity gap might be just a bit too big (I'm not thinking so much in number of years, more in personality types) but there are still ways I can see them working together. Even more than Robin/Usopp separately, though, I think Franky/Robin/Usopp would be a delightful OT3. With Franky: despite Franky being older than Robin in years, he's got more childish sides to him and I don't feel as much of a maturity gap with him. Him and Usopp have a number of things in common and they hang out a lot. And one more OT3 I've seen in the wild is Franky/Zoro/Usopp which I also think would be a fine ship! (Incidentally, putting Usopp at the end of most of these shipnames here doesn't say anything about my headcanons for sex preferences, it's just a random way of writing the shipnames. Personally I see Usopp as a switch, most of the Strawhats as switches, and Zoro as a bottom. But I'm totally on board with other interpretations too!) Then Kaya of course is the one with the canon shiptease and I think has a pretty good chance of becoming canon at the end. I like the ship - but only if either Usopp is willing to settle down for at least ten years or so on an island and stay put, or Kaya is healthy enough to sail with adventures as a shipdoctor with Usopp. I don't want Usopp to be an absentee husband and father like Yasopp was. I was going to go on naming other ships but if you haven't read or watched much of One Piece I'm not sure if they would mean much to you. Summing up, I think the one caveat with shipping Usopp is that he's pretty young in years and while he's seen and experienced lots of things on their journey, he's still not the most mature character out there. So for these reasons many people in the One Piece world might not be into him. Of course there could be other reasons he wouldn't be their type too. Obviously he's not conventionally handsome or consistently fearless and confident! But many of Usopp's qualities are on the social and emotional side and the way he's a tactile dude with flexible personal boundaries means he's easy to ship all over the place, in my eyes!

you have no idea how shocked i was, you're gonna need a bit of context;

so, i've never really been a guizhong/zhongli believer. like i have absolutely nothing against the ship and i think it's very cute, but i personally never subscribed to the idea that that was what hoyoverse was going for. it just didn't seem... it seemed like wasted ship bait potential, if you were going to give THE zhongli a sweetheart and then just... have them be already dead lmao. esp since hoyo seems evasive of straight ships, which- i mean i'm not complaining. like not to make an obvious zhongchi statement but zhongchi seemed far more logical for ship bait than... what's the shipname for guizhong and zhongli........ zhongzhong??? anyway, them.

so in my mind i was always "well it can't be zhongli with guizhong, but surely it wouldn't be guizhong on her own, they're not that brave." i considered it being guizhong and cloud retainer, since moon carver and mountain shaper have something suspicious going on, and azhdaha is dead, and all other known adepti are also all dead or yakshas, so no.

so i figured, well if it's not zhongli, then the only other adeptus of their generation who seemed to follow guizhong's example and lived among the people (and understood humans!) was..... madame ping. who for all intents and purposes seemed to be quite close to zhongli as well, so it wasn't hard to imagine her having been close to guizhong, too. like, of all the adepti of their generation (so all adepti bar ganyu, xiao, and yanfei), madame ping and zhongli are the only ones living in the harbor, among the humans. they're the only ones living by guizhong's example. so if it isn't him, then it would be her.

so, for the LONGEST time, i had a vague crackship/jokeship in the back of my mind that was literally madame ping when she was/looked younger and guizhong. i am not kidding. you don't see it in cyanide narwhal because, as i said, it was an amusing crackship for myself only and cyanide narwhal is more focused on guizhong's friendships anyway, so it would've been weird to add this seemingly nonexistent crackship for no good reason other than having to pair guizhong up so she's not alone (which. ew. no)

so you can imagine my bewhilderment when cloud retainer, of all people, basically confirmed my crackship. and yes i do subscribe to that ship, like you said, it's far too suspicious not to be something. you don't just have a rival turned bestie who you compose for and then never play music again after they're gone because it's no longer the same. i'm a bit affronted at how unbelievably obvious they are, like holy fuck. truly the rivals to friends to lovers of MADAME PING being revealed this lantern rite was not on my bingo card.

I adore Omori (character) a lot, he is the bestest ever. And I adore Cain Knightley very much, and Owen, and I am a caiowe/owecai shipper (they make me insane)

There's multiple ships that I like in OMORI. I like photobomb, as well as sunflower, and kel/basil (I failed you both I'm sorry I don't know your shipname), suntan, sunny/aubrey (I failed em too, I'm sorry my brain aint braining well with remembering shipnames). Even the polycule ships are nice too. And heromari, of course :D

To start off, thank you for the lovely compliments! <3 They really lift my mood every time I receive them.

Now, here are some suggestions and observations.

One person pointed out that they enjoy certain ship dynamics more as brotp rather than in a romantic or sexual. Shipping definitely gets more complex when it comes to aromatic interpretations, so I would say that it is up to each individual to see whether they see a relationship as something they would qualify as "shipping". As an aro person myself, I am very welcome to queerplatonic readings of ships, the "neither romantic, nor platonic, but the secret third thing". I think I would need to be more explicit with that in the next poll.

I got some more feedback about skipping ships. As I said before, it is absolutely fine c: there are way too many and life if too short :D I just wanted to make sure rarepair shippers felt included as well <3 It does make me think about whether I even need the neutral option, since people who skip ships basically say that they are neutral about them or don't care enough to vote. I'd need to consider that in the future.

One person suggested to add another category - ships that are appealing. Not something that you ship either actively or passively, but something that appeals to you in some way and you can see its potential. That's a really neat idea! I will definitely consider this metric for the future polls.

Polyships have always been a puzzle to me in terms of how to better include them and one person gave me a very good idea - allowing people to just add polyships manually. Because honestly, whenever I look through the data summary, I often skip the polyship section myself because the ship names are very clunky and it takes time to decipher what ships those are (the Summary only shows me the ship name because there isn't enough space to show the full shipname + character names in brackets). On the other hand, ships generally get more votes when they are included on a list, because many people forget to add less popular ships manually, so I will need to really thing this through.

CANON PAIRINGS:

Ma'el/Pall'or (cultduo, sometimes maellor) the classic, they had chemistry day one. honestly not much more to say other than the fact that the players are on their hands and knees to stop the slowburn and let them fuck. bonus points for the intersting backstory weaving. 10/10

Eiwn/Miym very well done friendship to tragic love. the chemistry these two have is off the walls, like why are pep and cerin so good at doing these friends to lovers ships. the tragic family aspect and cool gods backstory stuff provides a really interesting dynamic. 10/10 i like the poem

RD/Alastrelle (no common tagname, but adding in one ive seen; "winnerduo" cause its funny as fuck) I didn't used to see it cause they had a slight roughness to their alliance but when alastrelle started getting darker vibes? ok yeah this is some cool corruption shit. RD has nothing to hold them back anymore either. i hope they win and kiss about it. 10/10

Luck/Lilly (tigerlilly, luckian) I think this one is actually just canon aside from pairing stuff? or its luck pining a lot, whatever. it's... it's hard to actually judge this one because pep can't actually play out them talking to one another, but y'know what yeah i like the vibes. me and my girlwife who hates people. me and my malewife who trips over roots. 8/10

NON-CANON PAIRINGS:

RD/Pall'or why is their friends with benefits energy off the CHARTS holy shit. RD has plans to kill him but the enemies to lovers energy could be fucking insane??? they have multiple plans to fuck?? the fact that pall'or knows every inch of their body?? 10/10 keeps that inappropriate workplace relationship going

RD/Eiwn they work really well as the weirdgirl/jockboy so I think it's pretty funny. yeah we gay keep scrolling! not a lot of substance anymore and tbh i've seen a lot of angst breakup fics following the latest events so.... yeah.... 6/10

Alastrelle/Luck from what I've seen, all the fics are entirely about the single conversation they've had. There's some further chemistry to be explored, but for now, I don't really see it. 4/10

Pall'or/Alastrelle the starboys... the lovers under the moon... I think they can be so wonderful or horrible for each other. i dont know why im saying this but hannigrm kind of. 7/10

Pall'or/Lilly HOOOOO boy theres a lot to be said when most of the fics under this are hurt no comfort and one-sided relationship. cool job speculating what the fuck happened between these guys. 9/10 because pallor would actually do that yeah

RD/Luck ok yeah again with the pathetic malewife who trips over roots and the cool strong one. I think the fact that RD does actually like luck feeds into this, it's pretty strong actually. 9/10

Pall'or/Luck ok half these noncanon ships involve them so its abt time! i don't have anything to add i just agree. 9/10 because they have yet to flirt in an insane way

Luciano/Cle'av i've seen some age discourse around this so no hate please im just doing rankings. we all love a consentual workplace relationship, especially on the dating death game show. 7/10

Ma'el/Luck once again dont mention the discourse pleaseeee luck said "oh i guess we're not then" in the same sentance after bringing up being related. yeah i think a dog and a cat can be lovers, if they try hard enough. more than anything i like the fact that theyre streetsmart vs booksmart vibe that pall and mael have too. 9/10

RD/Eiwn/Alastrelle polycule is always a win. i have small hope they'll meetup again to do more stuff like the bear bit, buttttt things arent going good. i miss these three 10/10

Here to fuel the WillyCop obsession 24/7 (thanks for coming up with a shipname btw) Anyway, don't feel pressured to answer my crazy ramblings, Imma just leave them here so that you can answer whenever you feel like I have another major idea...About how Aiden's wife would react to him being with Wilson and I am 100% sure that she's happy for him bc she's that kind of a person who always understood him when no one else did (I headcanon her being overall pretty similar to Wilson in personality btw). I kinda believe in afterlife so I'd imagine her watching over and being relieved that Aiden finally found happiness after all this time

I think that she would be relieved that he found someone to rely on now that she had passed. Because he was very very sad and angry for a long time, so i agree.

But, even before he join the combine; in the old pre-ez2 q&a live stream. Badcop said his life before the combine was really terrible, he wanted to avoid talking about it. He seemed really closed off about it, of course this is before they thought to add Ava or his wife to his backstory but i want to incorporate it anyways. So i'd imagine her just watching painfully as her once husband slowly spiraled down.

She always wanted the best for him but didn't know how to steer him right. When wilson was finally introduced in the picture she watched as he understood badcop as she once did and knew that he would be fine from that point on. Granted he still kills people but he gains empathy again especially after wilson was uploaded. I'd like to think that parts of wilson remind badcop of his wife too, and that instead of that deterring him or making the memories painful its almost like he hadn't lost her.

And when wilson died, it felt like his wife's death all over again but he had become numb to the emotional pain and focused that energy to killing the advisor and i think when wilson ended up being okay he felt safe again, especially after wilson saved him. I REALLY REALLY hope that if theres a ez3 it expands on that idea and their relationship. Especially since breadman said on a blogpost that they already had an idea for the third game and that he thought was brilliant, it focused more on badcop and wilson together.

I don't ship El/riel because they don't have any banter. No challanging between them. None.

The reason why I ship Elucien, is because they have so much potential. They may not have banter now, given that Elain ignores his existence, but I can imagine their banter perfectly. I can Imagine sassy Lucien from the first book and a bratty Elain. Elain, who has been so nice and so sweet to everyone, who has pretended that she's fine and acts like she is a princess in need snaps at Lucien and shows the other side of her she has never shown to anyone and Lucien goes "Ah! There she is- Nice to finally meet you, Elain Archeron" with a smirk and Elain goes even more mad. And then she becomes this bratty and flawed (in a good way) princess around Lucien and her found family. I'm so sure that their first conversation won't be all nice and shy. Once they snapped at each other the banter begins and I can Imagine them compliment each other with insults like: "You looks so ugly" she has never seen someone THAT handsome before "You smell like shit" he could never get enough of her sweet scent. Or something similar.

Before acosf, in all 4 books, Elain and Azriel had been only... polite and nice. Sweet moments here and there.. there was no banter or challanging like any other endgame couples has. I feel like the first time meeting is important for Sjm couples. If you think about how the "first meeting" went for Rowaelin, Bryathalar, Feysand, Manorian, Elorcan, Chaolryne, Ruhndia (is that the shipname?) etc. Each ship had a little special moment. Doesn't matter if someone else was there too, the focus was all on the ship. If you think about Nessian and how they met, even though Feysand and El/riel were there, the focuse was more on Nessian and their banter. It was also the first time Elain and Azriel met, but there was nothing special. Nothing was going on and again, it was all Nessian's moment.

Elucien met on Elain's traumatizing day and Gwynriel met on Gwyn's traumatizing day. Just like Bryathalar met on Bryce's traumatizing day. No matter how traumatizing it can be, Sjm manages to add a special spark between the 2 characters and focuses on them only. This "spark" is what makes you certain that something will go on between them in the future. Gwynriel's "first meeting" may have been only told, however- the way it was told is what counts. Mor was there too, though it didn't feel like it was important to the characters like Azriel's apperance was. In the bonus chapter, Azriel even mentioned that it was him who saved her that day. Cassian mentioned that as well and the way it was mentioned had me thinking like "Oh, did something happen between them" later we see Gwyn and Azriel bantering and challenging each other.

Before acosf, I had thought that there might be a chance for El/riel. That Sjm could convience me to ship them... then acosf came and El/riel (and Elain herself) were barely there. There were just a few moments of Azriel acting overprotectiv and one moment of them glancing at each other... that was it. The bonus chapter could have convience me, but the el/riel part was just sad and made me uncomfortable. Azriel mentioned that it has been 2 YEARS and all that happened between them in those 2 years are finger brushes and shy glances. That's it. Count the months that went on during acowar, which makes like 2.7- then count the few months that went on during acosf (before winter solstice), which makes it like 2.9 years. No bantering ever happened. They see each other like everyday at least once. Rhys hadn't forbidden him anything before winter solstice, Lucien stayed away the whole time... they could have done so much in privat. This ship is fricking bland. The only moment I liked is when she gave him the headache powder. 2.9 fricking years and he has never thought beyond the fantasies he pleasured himself to. If not much happened between them before, how could I imagine more in the future? How can El/riels expect me to ship that?

Elucien never had the time to actually know each other because Elain ignores him, her sisters don't really let Lucien anywhere near her unless nessecary and Lucien comes only when he's invited. Which makes it like.. 3 times a year? The matind bond, the way they first met and Elain ignoring Lucien for now gives me many great ideas of how their story could start, keep going and end. They have the arranged marriage trope and I love that.

I do want to emphasize this - the first time they met, Az was concerned with making her feel at ease enough so that she would agree to help them and convince Nesta to let the mortal queens visit. He had no other thoughts about Elain other than "how can I be unthreatening enough that she's on my side so we can get things done". The book literally tells us that. Feyre literally told Az that, right before they walked in, that Elain can convince anyone of anything. So who does he set his sights on? The sister who can convince Nesta to do anything they need.

I love the arranged marriage trope. Can't wait to see how it plays out for elucien. Can't wait to see their banter. They are going to snark at each other so hard, everyone around them is going to be like, "who are these two???" They are the peak inside-joke couple.

Rank the druck couples. I really want to hear your thoughts on them

Oh wow ranking the druck couples, I was just trying to rank the kisses (which I will still do with a later ask) but I’ll gladly talk about the couples too. druck really knows how to write couples with chemistry

tbh I think I can categorize the couples better than I can actually rank them because I can see that eg. for me as a lesbian kieutou is just closer to my own experience and more what I have always craved as representation (also because i am currently invested in them) than davenzi but I can absolutely see how for someone who is a queer man and/or a trans man this can be the total opposite, and I don’t think one is better than the other necessarily. so rather than ranking them I will put them in six tiers (and low-key rank them within the tier on how much I personally subjectively love them)

tier 1: god tier couple, druck has done it again

1. Kieutou - okay look, we don’t know how this will play out, we don’t really know how kieu my feels about fatou, maybe I’m reading this all wrong and there will be so much hurt and angst between them that even I can’t take it anymore. but as of right now I really feel like that these two have been quietly and secretly crushing on each other for an agonizing period of time which makes their dynamic so refreshing, you know? they seem so equally awkward around each other. kieu my is intimidated by fatou because fatou has been open and familiar with her sexuality for longer and probably has more experience dating and crushing on women. Fatou is totally infatuated with kieu my and thinks she hung the moon and she is way too cool and “popular” for her. so they both think the other one is too good to be true, which ensures us more pining over the next couple of weeks because this kiss for sure did not seal the deal. they will still think the other one wasn’t as into the kiss as they were themselves, they will probably both pretend to regret the drunken kiss for the sake of staying (becoming lol) friends since they both in their own words wouldn’t date their girl-friends. honestly, mutual adoration and infatuation with lots of miscommunication is my favourite trope (add a little jealousy and you have my exact ao3 searches)

2. davenzi - I feel almost bad for ranking them second but I mean second is still top top tier and I still adore them. I think those two were very much equals from the beginning. That’s why I personally love them more than any other evak couple’s dynamic because it never felt like David was either out of matteo’s league or was just toying with matteo. they were just silently falling in love with each other more and more every day. it’s love and acceptance all around

3. Josh/nora (I still refuse to use spiderwitz as their shipname despite it really growing on me lol) - no love triangle, full support, lots of good communication. What else do you want from a relationship. seriously, those two are a perfect example of a healthy relationship and I hope teens see them and strive to find something similar. no more “changing the fuckboy”, wait for your josh, it’s worth it. technically a straight evak in their own special way huh, but idk, so different too. like all druck couples, but especially for them, I love how much fun they have together, they love teasing each other in such an adorable way

tier 2: super cute and healthy but needs more development

4. mazzouk - remember summer 2019, remember their palpable chemistry, remember how druck was like “whelp we don’t know how to write couples who don’t kiss, so let’s turn back to mia and hanna” okay that was enough pettiness, but honestly I think they work really well, they had the clearest and most honest communication out of all the druck couples because King mohammed just loved openly communicating. but they’re ending felt way too rushed, the clip in the park was cute but they should have talked about everything more, delved deeper into what it means for them, how they will go forward etc

5. Kiki/carlos - obviously as a background couple they need more development, but I feel like we have seen enough over the past 4 seasons to call them one of the healthiest skamverse couples. they support each other, they encourage each other, they take interest in what other one is doing and interested in! definitely the best vilde/magnus variation and even without the comparison just a super good couple

tier 3: I have a soft spot for them but objectively not the best example of a relationship

6. Winterberg - i do have a tiny place for them in my heart (especially because they were the first skam season I have ever watched live) but..... any noorhelm couple overall is just a bit yikes for me. They had their very cute moments though rare, but fuckboys is just not a trope I personally ever enjoy. tbf they were still light-years better than most other noorhelm couples. and I really appreciate that they broke up, that definitely gives them a bonus point

tier 4: super indifferent yet somehow disappointed 🤷‍♀️

7. Sam/abdi - they didn’t work for me at all, Sam was very clear about not wanting a serious relationship and abdi still got his hopes up. also I’m just overall a bit eh about how Sam was written very one-dimensionally and boy-crazy.....

8. hanna/stefan - award for the most unnecessary couple, I’m glad we got Carl though. I also feel like this relationship didn’t add anything to hanna as a character, it actually did her a great disservice imo, Stefan was purely another obstacle between Jonas and her....

tier 5: Jonas Augustin s2 ruined this ship

7. Jonas/hanna - Seriously, Jonas ruined this ship bc if it wasn’t for how he behaved in s2 I would have ranked them in the healthy and cute tier...... but wow, Jonas in season 2 really was Constantin and that is just a big yikes from me

Peggy and Steve have an announcement at the same time that Sarah and Chester do. Chester just reacts differently, is all.

“Sarah, there’s something we need to tell you,” Peggy said, not long after she and Steve had sat down for breakfast.

“Funny, Chester and I have something we need to tell you, but you go first, love.” Sarah had their back to them, finishing flipping the last pancake onto a growing stack. “Too bad Mr. Grump didn’t get home until four in the morning last night.”

Steve cringed slightly, sharing a look with Peggy while his ma wasn’t looking. Sarah didn’t know right off that her son was Captain America - or at least Steve didn’t think so. He liked to keep it that way, not wanting to involve his mother in the dangerous and hectic lifestyle that was being a hero. Phillips had stayed late last night, finishing up paperwork and arguing with some politician or another on the phone while Steve had gotten in just as late to the office after another mission. Peggy had fallen asleep on the couch, one of Phillips’ jackets tucked around her like a blanket.

“She’s under my care, course I’m gonna make sure she doesn’t freeze to death in this office,” Phillips grumbled when Steve picked up the jacket to hand it back to him. It was the closest they’d get to Phillips saying he cared about them during work hours.

“I didn’t say anything,” Steve cheesed, both of them instantly hushing when Peggy groaned and started to wake up from Steve’s presence.

“I don’t know what you two do in that office that keeps him so late,” Sarah continued, finally turning back around to look at the pair sitting side by side. “Or should I say, I don’t know what the three of you do in that office to stay so late? You look exhausted, you shouldn’t have come over so early, then!”

Peggy laughed just to brush the concern off, rubbing Steve’s thigh under the table. “Well, we couldn’t wait any longer and I didn’t want to call so early to wake you two up. Not with Phill-Chester getting in so late.”

“Alright, then. What’s the big news?” Sarah mused, pushing the stack of pancakes on the table and walking around to sit down with her steaming cup of tea. Ginger tea, by what Steve could smell. Peggy drank the same kind, ever since…

“We’re pregnant!”

Peggy was beaming from ear to ear, her hand laying over her belly. They were just a handful of weeks in, but she was already starting to show. They had no idea how the serum would have any effect on her or their unborn children and it was just a guessing game.

Steve’s face fell as his Ma didn’t say a word, just looking between them. They were married and even if that wasn’t the case, Ma loved Peggy. “Ma? You alright? You heard Peggy right, we’re…”

“No, no I heard you,” Sarah mumbled, rubbing her fingertips over the handle of her mug. “It’s just... we’re pregnant too. Chester and I.”

“You’re kidding!” Steve breathed. “I’m gonna have a sibling? Ma, that’s wonderful!”

He knew growing up he always wanted a sibling, having some jealousy for Bucky and his always seeming to grow family. He knew his Ma had tried once or twice with a guy or two she was dating, but her pregnancy with him had been so hard on her.

“Sarah, that’s amazing. When are you due? The doctor thinks we’re due near the end of October,” Peggy explained, standing up to wrap Sarah in a hug.

“The same time! Little pumpkins!” Sarah hugged her daughter-in-law tight as she could, kissing her cheek. “Oh, I am so happy for the two of you!”

“We’re happy for you, Ma. Seriously. I’m so glad you two can have a child,” Steve assured his Ma, pulling both of them into a gentle hug. “Excuse me, but I need to use the bathroom.”

“He’s going to have a slight freak out, isn’t it?” Sarah asked when she heard the bathroom door upstairs close. “Always the same, my Stevie.”

“That much hasn’t changed. You should’ve seen him when I told him. I asked Mr. Jarvis to bake me a cinnamon bun and left it in the oven for Steve to find. He panicked for a good hour, between being too happy and-”

Peggy paused at the sound of feet hitting the floor, following shuffling noises. She watched her boss and father-in-law shuffle into the kitchen, wearing pajamas, and a grumpy look. He made a confirmation grump at them before leaving to grab the paper.

Phillips was only gone for two minutes before he returned, paper secured under his arm. He looked more alert, eyes straight on her. 

“Please tell me I misheard you, Carter. Please tell me that you are not pregnant.” At Peggy’s blank look, he groaned and scrubbed at his face. “I forbid it. You’re too young to be pregnant Carter!”

Peggy huffed and rolled her eyes. “Forbid it? I’m 27, sir. And married.”

Phillips threw the paper down on the table with more force than necessary. “So?! That’s still too young to be fucking pregnant, never the mind married! Please tell me it’s Rogers’”

“Chester!” Sarah chided, rolling her eyes too. “Calm down, love. I know you care about them, but they are adults.”

“Calm down? No, Sarah, love, these are-are two young adults in love! Pregnant! No, I forbid it!”

All Peggy could do was give him a look that stated are-you-kidding-me. “Who else would I be fucking? And forewarning, my hormones are always a mess. So be careful how you answer that.”

“Great, just great,” Phillips sighed, rubbing at his temples. “I get a child and a grandchild. I already have an aneurysm named after you two, why not add two more!”

Phillips’ eyes snapped to Steve the second the unfortunate man had come back downstairs. “Rogers!”

Steve’s eyes widened, not taking his Ma nor his wife’s frantic look of get out of here for granted and tailing it back upstairs.

“Oh hell no, boy, get back here!” Phillips half-shouted, storming up the steps after Steve.

“He’s just very overprotective of you guys,” Sarah tried to soothe, rubbing her hand up and down Peggy’s arm. “Add the fact he’s slept maybe three hours. He’ll calm down once the news settles in. I just hope he’s not too hard on Steve.”

“Steve can handle it,” Peggy sighed, too exhausted to chase after the pair. Phillips can have his overprotective, adopted dad syndrome moment. “He’s handled much worse.”

Steve grunted as Phillips pounded another fist into the door. “Will you stop? We’re married, Chester! It’s not like it was on accident and we have to have a shotgun wedding - if Peggy would even want that!”

“You listen here, boy! I walked her down the aisle, I married you too off. It doesn’t mean you two can-can go creating babies!” Phillips snapped, hitting the door again.

“Well, I ain’t complaining about you knocking my Ma up!” Steve countered. “You two are happy and married!”

“That’s different and you know it!”

“How?! How is that different?”

That seemed to stutter Phillips some, enough for him to stop hitting the door, enough for Steve to partway crack the door and look out to see him leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Poor guy was really looking his age and showing the same panic Steve had been filtering on and off for the last few weeks.

“Because I didn’t know! About you two - I thought...I almost sent her on a possible dangerous assignment just last night, Steve!” Chester grumbled. “Plus, you two...you’re so young if you get hurt or-or Peggy. We’re older, we’re more settled, to a point. And I-”

“You’re terrified, huh?” Steve honestly asked. He nodded in agreement to Chester’s nod. “Yeah, I am too. Look, I know we’re young and things are a mess because of our...situation, who I am, and what naught but it’s not like we won’t have help. Hell, I’m terrified too. It’s not like I had a good pop to look up to. Bucky’s dad was the closest I’d get. You have...been amazing for my Ma, for us.”

“I guess we both just gotta figure this out, huh? How to be parents,” Chester sighed. “Thank god for our ladies, huh?”

One of the things I hate both about Twitter and tumblr is that when you make a post, anybody can find it searching the words you wrote. Like if you write about certain character or pairing and you search for it w/o a hashtag, they’ll find your post. And it’s a bit annoying when it’s more like a personal post, it can clog tags and such so I rather add / or - or . So it won’t clutter when people search for stuff. But!! Twitter has that thing that if someone writes that character/ship/word whatever in their name, then it’ll appear when you search for it. Like people will name themselves <shipname> brainrot, then you search for said ship and you find all their posts that are unrelated to the ship…. Fortunately that doesn’t happen here so that’s a point for tumblr

Another thing that I prefer tumblr over is the tagging system. And yes I know that it’s pretty dysfunctional a lot of times but it’s still there and it’s an easy way to order stuff. If I want to search for something I retweeted on there… good luck I guess. Also, when I reblog stuff here I can add my thoughts in the tags and that way it doesn’t annoy people who want to reblog and op can still see them if they want. But on Twitter I’ve seen oh so many times people who are against qrt, and not even privately, they really don’t want people quote retweeting, which baffles me of course, so you stay there w/o being able to say what you think. And okay, you can make a different tweet saying what you think, but then… it’s the search function again. You search for whatever and then find posts like “lrt <character> is so fucking cute!” And…. I guess I’m too nitpicky but I simply don’t like the way Twitter is structured lol

It’s most likely that I’m used to tumblr and I do agree a lot of things are pretty bad here, but I still prefer the way tumblr works, it’s more personal for me and after 10 years (& 3 different blogs) I’ve managed to keep myself to me w/o immersing in the dramas. Also since tumblr is “dying” or whatever people say, it feels way calmer here.
