Favorite color: The body's is orange. I do think of mine being red, ironically! Ehh.. It's a little bit of a tough call, but I think blue takes it. Red's still nice, don't get me wrong, but blue is a nicer contrast.

On this day in 1977, NASA launched Voyager 1 on a grand tour of the solar system!

Along its journey, it made groundbreaking discoveries about the gas giants and has since ventured beyond the solar system, continuing to explore the mysterious interstellar space.

During its travels, Voyager 1 made some awesome discoveries.

When it flew by the giant planet Jupiter in 1979, it found a thin ring circling the planet and spotted two new tiny moons named Thebe and Metis.

Then, in 1980, Voyager 1 visited the ringed planet Saturn and uncovered even more secrets!

It found a new ringlet called the G-ring and three little "shepherd" moons — Prometheus, Pandora and Atlas — that help keep Saturn's rings in place.

After finishing its planetary mission, the intrepid Voyager 1 just kept going and going.

In 1998, it became the farthest human-made object from Earth.

Today, it is now located more than 23 billion kilometers from Earth, outside the solar system.

Can any of the ROs develop a one sided crush on MC, where they have feelings for them but the MC has never actually directly flirted?

Mechanically, yes, this actually happens all the time, which is why I don't actually "display" everyone's romance points, because they fluctuate and change in ways behind the scenes that would prove very confusing to players (or really anyone who wasn't me)! So yes, in a mechanical sense, MC can be racking up enough romance points with a character "behind the scenes" that there are some thresholds where I would personally count it as a one-sided/unrequited secret crush on MC. However, for your purposes as a player, there aren't many scenarios where the character in question will actually act on that attraction or openly confess to MC, as most opportunities for an RO to confess are going to be dominated by the RO you're actually (presumably) pursuing and are on a solid romance path with! Hopefully that makes sense.

TL;DR yes, you can be accruing romance points with a character behind the scenes, unwittingly or inadvertently, to the point where I would call it a small harbored crush or attraction, but most of the time, you still won't get enough points with them for the game to treat them as your "true" RO or trigger a confession/canonical romance scene with them, so it will always remain a background/secret thing that no one except the game knows about. If you've "accidentally" triggered Prihine's one-night stand scene without intending to, this is basically an example of what I'm talking about, except hers is a rare case because it's easier to trigger that one-off scene with her, whereas most of the time the game will prioritize your "true" RO over the somewhat-crush.

Tommy and Viv would like each other a lot I think. Just wondering... I'm still getting the mandatory piggyback ride offer in the marsh. All three boys' relationships are at 90%, I did some flirting with Trouble very early on, but the social section lists Red as the highest romance (and Riel's romance had surpassed Trouble's prior, so Trouble can't be super high?)

Is that how it's supposed to be? Do the other relationships have to be 100% platonic to get someone else's offer?

Or is Trouble just being Trouble with his bestie again lol?

The logic works out so that the game first checks if each guy is your highest/current romance, and if you've hit a certain threshold of romance points with them. So it goes (1: is Trouble the highest romance?) and (2: if so, does Trouble have more than 30 romance points?). If that's not true, then it checks for Blade, then Chase, then Red, each of whom has a different number of romance points to trigger their scene.

If none of them are technically your highest romance, or you don't meet the threshold for their required romance flags, or both, then the game checks if you have enough to get a platonic piggyback from Trouble (different set of conditions). If that's not met, then you just skip the whole sequence altogether.

So from what it sounds like, even though Red is currently your highest romance (per the social link screen), you still don't have enough romance points to trigger the ride offer with him (30). Keep in mind that romance points are generally invisible and are different from the relationship/approval bars at 90% on your stats screen, as noted in the #romance system tag. So while he is currently your highest romance option, you could have 29 romance points with him (still more than with anyone else) but still not enough to trigger that specific moment with him. It has to be this way because if you only checked for who is the highest romance, you could end up triggering a ton of stuff for someone that you're not actually intending on romancing, just because you technically have 5 romance points with them and everyone else is at 0.

That w359 post is why the only non-Hephaestus AU I've posted about was the community college employees one because working at a community college is roughly equivalent to working on a crumbling space station in terms of pressure cooker environments that bond you through trauma. Yesterday I got calls and texts that there was a tornado but the college never turned the interior alert system on. Then an hour later I was on lunch break and the water stopped working because they'd turned it off to do a test at 11:30. Then two hours after that we lost internet for 30 minutes. The facilities guy told us he personally won't drink the water but refused to elaborate.
