On this day in 1977, NASA launched Voyager 1 on a grand tour of the solar system!

Along its journey, it made groundbreaking discoveries about the gas giants and has since ventured beyond the solar system, continuing to explore the mysterious interstellar space.

During its travels, Voyager 1 made some awesome discoveries.

When it flew by the giant planet Jupiter in 1979, it found a thin ring circling the planet and spotted two new tiny moons named Thebe and Metis.

Then, in 1980, Voyager 1 visited the ringed planet Saturn and uncovered even more secrets!

It found a new ringlet called the G-ring and three little "shepherd" moons — Prometheus, Pandora and Atlas — that help keep Saturn's rings in place.

After finishing its planetary mission, the intrepid Voyager 1 just kept going and going.

In 1998, it became the farthest human-made object from Earth.

Today, it is now located more than 23 billion kilometers from Earth, outside the solar system.

𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥?

Voyager 1 a pioneering spacecraft that provided groundbreaking data on Jupiter and Saturn, became the first to enter interstellar space in 2012, and remains the most distant human-made object.

Tommy and Viv would like each other a lot I think. Tommy likes Viv because she has a very casual, blunt attitude (because of the autism) and doesn't make a big deal of it when she comes out as a girl and is just like "okay but I asked if you were staying for dinner again", and Viv likes Tommy mostly because she likes her boyfriend and finds David fun to talk to (also autistic)

Billy hates Viv because Viv's uncle Simon lets her reclaim faggot and he's a bitch who gets upset even though she didn't even call him one, Viv meanwhile used to be ambivalent to Billy but doesn't like him very much ever since he just stuttered and deflected when she asked him why he was being an imperialist in space.

I am so glad I saw this before I fell asleep (And thank you very much for the question!!)

The short answer is: Achilles (along with a few others like Diomedes and Odysseus) is one of Athena's champions and one of the leading generals in the combat against the creatures of Erebus! Each god has their favoured champions/heroes and each of those people play a key role in maintaining what little order is left in the world.

The long answer is: due to the whole 💫 completely impromptu, unplanned and unprophesied apocalyptic situation of the Divine Light of the World completely disappearing 💫 Hera, Athena and Aphrodite had to completely squash their argument started at Thetis' wedding because there was simply too much to do. Achilles, therefore, is set down a completely different path to immortal glory, same with many other familiar faces from the Iliad (and wider greek mythology). On the bright side, he still hates Agamemnon's guts considering Agamemnon, even in this world, is his direct superior. Likewise, he also still spends an inordinate amount of time getting banged by Patroclus (who is one of Ares' champions) despite the whole literal apocalypse occuring around them. So really, Achilles will always be Achilles 😀👍🏾
