thinking about how the master is always punished for their goodness. how they time and time again revert back to being good in the case of losing memory and their self-imposed understanding of their destiny. how they believe that evil is within their nature and figure that they have no choice in the matter (because of the previous act of their choice being robbed in said matter). how the doctor is both the master's salvation and absolute doom. how the doctor created the master. how the doctor's childhood ὕβρις is what sets them both up for eternal suffering. the doctor dooms the master, the master responds in turn for all eternity. cause and effect. how the master's chosen title not only represents their need for control of others but also ultimately themselves. they seek control of their destiny (of which they have none) because they had no autonomy in the Fatal Decision, that was made by the doctor for the both of them. so the master dooms themselves in an attempt to make this appear as an elaborate choice - so they have a choice, even if it's superficial and a facade. how thoschei are eternally self-destructive to one another - no matter what they do they are doomed by the narrative.

I love movies that are silly but I also absolutely hate silly movies. The former is a movie that has silly elements but also has other things in it to justify existing. The latter isn't even silly because the sillyness was designed by committee and committees can never be silly. Sillyness must originate from the weirdest person you know writing a silly bit but also that person has feelings and opinions on the world around them that impact what they find silly and how they execute their silly bit. Sillyness cannot come from a committee because committees homogenize the human experience into bland palatable mush that pleases no one.

This is about the minecraft movie's "the children yearn for the mines" 'joke', btw. and all the other 'jokes' the movie attempts to make. It's sillyness dictated by committee and therefore is not silly, zany, or whimsical at all. It somehow looks worse, because the first trailer made me think this would be bad in a train-wreck fun-because-i-can't-look-away kind of way, but it's clearly going to be bad in a mediocre-slop-created-by-a-marketing-team-and-without-creatives way, and that's way less interesting. Or, more importantly, silly.

I wish So Bad that I could confidently recommend lob corp and library of ruina to people because they're both genuinely rly good games and I also need ppl I know to understand the insanity that is project moon but like godddd they are a fucking Investment. Both in time and in brainpower. I generally think ppl exaggerate how hard lob corp is but it's certainly not easy and when it does get hard it gets HARD. Also it literally requires at least one day 1 reset (basically a new game+) to fully beat the game and at this point I've done at least 10. And for lor I'm not nearly as far in and I'm just scratching the surface of the real game but it's a beast of its own. Also 100+ hours and also hard as hell. Like this game does not fuck around with its difficulty spikes it will make you use your brain and it will give you a damn headache in the process. It's also one of my favorite card combat games I've ever played with mechanics that just so beautifully complement each other to create a dynamic and interesting battle system that gives it a completely different vibe and feeling than any other deck builder games I've played to the point where it almost feels wrong to me to categorize them together. But also I am not even slightly joking abt the headache thing every time I play this damn game I close it with a horrible headache and have to take a multi day break. I think everyone should experience this with me <3
