The Promise Mini Series vs The Promise Series
The Director of the Mini Series. Phupha Aired First in August 2022 followed by Nanfah in November of 2022. On The DEVONTE296 YOUTUBE CHANNEL after which a series was announced for 2023
The Stars.
The support Roles were the roles of Deena (who liked Phu) and Gigi (who liked Nan) and Khunkao (whom Nan confused for Phu in Australia then later developed feelings for Nan while helping him search for Phu)
For the series a new director took the helm in Khom (the director of KINNPORSCHE)
Screenwriter Funt also known as FuntLand (with some impressive credits including BANGKOK LOVE STORIES: PLEASE, THE INTERNS, ROSE IN DA HOUSE and FLEET OF TIME)
The Series Support Roles has added BOSS (as Party) MICKEY as (as JOE) RUTHAIWAN (Phu's Grandmother)
LIFT (as KEN ...Nan's Boss) was in the mini series SEAGAMES (as KHUNKAO) as well and MARIMA (as DEENA) eagle eyes may have seen her when Nan and Phu kissed while trying to move the ball without hands she was in the crowd screaming.
MINT (as Gigi) either is a different Gigi than in the mini series since a new actress has taken over from HEIDI (who played Gigi in the mini series.)
MDL only list the child actor that played Phu (I loved him) and the actress that played Nan's mother (she was in the mini series as well) however the impressive child actor who played Nan isn't listed...yet or Nan's Father (also appeared in the mini series)
Now as the series has only 2 episodes released (WETV) and 1 episode (DEVONTE296 YOUTUBE CHANNEL)
There are changes to the plot (storyline) obviously keeping the Phu leaving Nan for 10 years but possibly changing the reason a tiny bit.
And Phu has orchestrated his return in Nan's life as seen by him using his friendship with Joe to move into Joe's condo right across from Nan (kinda shown in one the many deleted scenes from the mini series)

“I hate the script, the vault dwellers sound so cheesy—“ my Brother in Steel you realize that’s the point, right? They were bred to act like the physical embodiment of an HR e-mail. Did you not catch the memo that Vault-Tec put out regarding their experiment facilities?

In which the show literally calls itself out but still decides to have a happy ending for the asshole who doesn't deserve it and Nan who deserves much, much better. I have second lead, third lead and, hell, 'stay single forever' syndrome with this show. @absolutebl How can they be so self-aware and so... like this... at the same time?
The question we all ask ourselves every damn episode Khunkhao, the same question.
Also, Khunkhao the voice of the audience.
(Also, Phu can go to hell for getting mad at Nan when he should spend this entire episode on his hands and knees begging forgiveness while Nan makes out with Party and Khunkhao.)

The Promise just pulled a Hail Mary in the last quarter, and THIS is why I stick around for a hate-watch!
@heretherebedork, I have the BEST spoiler for you!
Before I get to that sweet juicy spoiler, enjoy Phu seeing Party and Nan sleeping together because I'm petty and thoroughly enjoyed this! Mostly because Party told Phu, once again, that he wasn't a good friend to Nan for lying to him for over a decade!
Also enjoy Nan demanding that Jo give him the key to Phu's new place so HE CAN MOVE IN WITH PHU because Nan is pissed that Phu pulled his shit again.
Alright, spoiler time:
Remember that Nan went to Melbourne EVERY year for TEN years? Yeah, how could we forget, especially when this episode reminds us in the first three minutes that Nan was terrified that Phu was dead and begging for any sign of life from him.
Remember that Nan met a guy there who helped him look for Phu?
Well, HE'S BACK!
Khao was hired by the company to be the new presenter for the ad campaign.
But that's NOT the spoiler.
This is where it gets spicy!
The guys are asked questions about special days, and of course because everyone loves Nan, Khao talks about meeting Nan and falling in love with him. Phu does the same because EVERYONE LOVES NAN! Cool, cool, cool.
Afterwards, Nan approaches Khao to catch up and notices Khao's phone light up.
And that's when the dots connect!
That is the same woman who is in Phu's picture from the time capsule.
That's Phu's mom!
That's Khao's mom!
THEY ARE BROTHERS!!!!
Now, Nan is holding this secret, but he isn't 100% sure. Does he tell Phu? Does he keep quiet? Will Phu be upset when he finds out that Nan knew?
WILL PHU GET A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE if Nan actually keeps this a secret?!
I am ecstatic!
Thrilled.
Euphoric.

Finale Wednesday: May 24, 2023
Today ends: PAST-SENGER: THE SERIES
THE PROMISE
Goodbye to 2 Thailand BL Series. It was great to have My Engineer's Cooper back on my screen with Marc from My Gear Your Gown. They shared incredible chemistry.
And to the Promise, the series took a turn from the minis but somehow circled back a little to the minis in a way. Pity Phupha's mother wasn't added at all but he came off with a fondness for his newly known kid brother Khunkhao. And it was a silly addition but giving Khunkhao his very own Nanfah was kinda sweet.
