I thought I would share some art of my Sanders Sides ocs...

Name: Damien [you don't get to know my last name]

Role: Logic & Cognitive Empathy

Namesake: Sir Damien the Pious from The Penumbra Podcast

Personality: She's the mom friend to the other sides. Or... I generally view my sides ocs as sisters, so she's a bit like a big sister who has a little too much responsibility for her younger sisters saddled onto her.

Her greatest strength and greatest weakness is the fact that she overwhelmingly cares about other people. She winds up doing most of the work of the sides, because she's competent and motivated but also because she's a bit of a pushover about making her sisters do things. That... may be how she wound up taking on part of Morality's role.

She even shows empathy and mercy for Deceit, which... doesn't go particularly well for her because second chances are great but Deceit really wasn't trying to redeem herself.

Despite Dami's flaws, she is a baddass and an expression of my belief that if I had even a little bit of executive function, I would kill God.

Notes: Look, I don't think liking Lemon Demon is the epitome of logic, but I love Lemon Demon, and my Logic side would be the only part of me who'd get around to getting band merch. I tend to forget to do things like that, or waste my money on other things that I actually don't want as much.

Also, yes, this is damn close to what I actually look like. I have 2 eyes and a different haircut though.

if ppl are talking about race in audio fiction, can we please. just. address the fact that The Penumbra Podcast continues to sell merch portraying their leads as a dark-skinned Black person and an East Asian person, when they’re played by white or very white-passing people.

i genuinely feel like ppl avoid talking about this bc Penumbra has canonical LGBTQ+ rep, and because some of the showrunners are LGBTQ+, but like. come on. literally how is this not blackface/yellowface.

So I bought podcast merch for the first time and it just came in and I just had to ask: @thepenumbrapodcast who gave you the right to make something so pretty?

Look at this. It's so beautiful. The colors, the style, the font. I could go on for days. It's so pretty and I now own it (physically! Like I can put it on my wall!!!) and it's just really made me so happy. And that's not even mentioning the episode itself.

I love the Second Citadel so much and this was truly one of my favorite episodes (both of SC and of TPP as a whole). I'm so excited for when I rant about this show to my friends now that I can point to this piece of art and say "you see this? THIS is that show. How can you not listen to the show responsible for this???"

TL;DR I'm in love with the Second Citadel and @milomars's art, very excited to now own physical proof of these facts
