i have so many thoughts about the tommy song/video and theyre a jumbled mess. i wouldnt call this an analysis this is just. most of my thoughts surrounding the video and what it shows about tommy

one of the things that stuck out to me (outside of how depressing and just like. is this guy okay) is something that ive always respected tommy for because he's always stuck with it and its his like. fervent conviction in people doing things theyre passionate about. thats always been one of the things he talks about all the time!!!

when AI started appearing he was talking about death of creativity, with the internet he's always talking about how the real tragedy is the algorithm killing people's passion by driving them with views and money, and even when he talks about youtube itself, and nowadays standup, its so full of passion.

and i think thats really important because it would be extremely easy for someone like tommy, who's in the process of maturing his online image from a very loud, immature and PASSIONATE persona, to make fun of it. it would be so easy to do like so many other creators and laugh at how "cringe" it was and make a quick cash/attention grab with a funny clip of him laughing at himself. but he never has. well don't get me wrong he's laughed at himself or old videos but it's always just. good natured taking the piss out of himself, it's never this like. mocking your younger self who was so excited to do what they did only because now its "cringe".

not only is he constantly giving that advice to other people (its been years of him replying, to any kid in his chat or donations asking advice on how to be a creator etc, "just go and do it if you love it!!"), he's coherent with how he applies it to himself. he realised he was making cash grab tiktok react vids and hated it so much he just stopped uploading for a while.

i dont know i just think there's something admirable about being able to still be sincere in a time where everything especially online has to be processed through a layer of irony. and its even funnier because he's more sincere THROUGH the irony i mean he's literally going into standup.

letting yourself create something that "means" something is fucking hard especially when half the internet still sees you as a kid who screams around. except the thing is that kid DID make stuff that mattered and that meant something because he was, in his own words, having fun.

i think thats what the format of the video was about too. i mean i think it was pretty clearly not a song thats meant to be streamed, its not purely music, its also a video because tommy is also first and foremost an editor who went to film college. its also not a "comedy" song like he's made some before, because those were all intentionally created to land as many jokes and make a big buzz— which doesnt mean they were bad! im philza is a contemporary lyrical masterpiece. but they had a specific purpose and it was to make people laugh and i think this video was completely like. opposite of what peoples expectations are of tommy. the "wow hes not a child anymore hes being mature🤓" reactions are the most obvious aspect of this (which, like, its been a while, get with the program).

i think the point of this was to make something that genuinely meant something but that was also like. as unpalatable to the algorithm and to the TommyInnit Viewer as possible. even now that he's gone into making quieter, more reflective videos, we've never had the flashing texts and the projector images and just all of that. hes always talking about how he hates the way the "youtube formula" has dictated the course of content and stolen all creativity for youtubers. its not meant to be a YouTube Video tm. its just meant to mean something to someone, and obviously process some sort of personal emotions, and i just think thats. yeah. yeah

i mean he even says so outright. "this needless, self indulgent spiral of self gratification" is pretty damn explicit. its not meant to be funny content its really a cry for help or for just. anything at all really

it was also a lot about perception, yknow the "entertainer" dilemma, "its all attention porn"... theres a layer of this point thats universal, everyone struggles with how they're perceived and i think any "artist" or "entertainer" figure can see themselves in it, but there's also a layer thats completely impermeable to most of us because it touches upon the sheer absurdity of a "youtuber". especially one of tommy's popularity. especially one who blew up so so fast so young. i honestly think its IMPOSSIBLE to process that. its about the ethics of having millions of people's time so readily available to you if you just press the right buttons to make the algorithm happy and then you've got them. im like 75% sure i remember him saying this on stream once, something like "your time is valuable" and if a fan didnt value him as an entertainer they should drop him.

and even here^ thats the saddest "lmao" ive seen in my life SORRY LOL but its really just. yeah im not gonna repeat myself it speaks for itself. perception and internet expectations and all that

one of the other images that stuck out to me was also this:

"yeah i know its too much like bo burnham but it wont be in a year though. in a year it will be like tom simons. just let me figure out what that means, ok?"

a lot of the video is about. influences and inspirations. the bo burnham references are so obvious he's poking at them, but i think he's raising a good point about the creativity that he's constantly praising. its never something that springs up on its own, its all about looking at others work and making it your own and feeding yourself with all those experiences and slowly, surely building your own way of doing things (tommyinnit "minecraft talent show" and "a tribute to dream smp" serial quackity + schlatt impersonator would know all about that) ->

and its daunting! its fucking scary to move away from that! which is also the main vibe i got from the video which, outside of his own issues with how he's perceived online, was the sort of existential dread that comes with actually creating. its one thing to preach you need to be passionate and create, its another to sit down and create something thats BY you. its a part of growing up! and we're literally seeing him do it live (well the bits that he chooses to show obviously)! thats also part of why i think tommy's so relatable to so many people is that he's so like. honest and real about what it's like to grow up, simple as that, and growing into yourself.

"this was everything to me" and using the picture of his younger self... man. theres obviously so much sadness underlying the whole thing but i think the nostalgia and melancholy in mourning being someone who was only inspired/excited by your interests and role models is universal. and obviously for tommy a lot of those influences turned out. well i think it was pretty damn clear who/what he was referring to here. ->

i don't think i need to go too in detail about that, especially cause a lot of the video was clearly a way to process his own personal emotions. especially with those next few images. i just hope he's okay and that god doubles his pain and gives it to mr beast to quote my friend bronzetomatoes. man.

of course he had to end with a funny clip about a hot anime girl and i think that kinda. sums it all up in a way. if that makes sense. at the end of the day its about the fact that he has to use humour to make the thing work when its out in the open, even when he tries not to and to be actually honest, but theres also the fact that hes literally a comedian and creating something "honest" IS through humor. its kindof a double edged sword

Meeting DG for the First Time: Coffee

G/N. Fluffy? Strangers to lovers-ish. Masterlists

"Watch it!" You snap at the pink haired stranger.

Granted the collision wasn't entirely his fault, but he was the one who walked around the corner at breakneck speed, causing you to stumble into him and spill coffee all over yourself.

Not even a single drop landed on him, not even a splatter.

The look of surprise on the guy's face is soon replaced with practised indifference. No apology leaves his lips, he just glances coolly at you before striding off.

"What the hell. So fucking rude!" You snarl at this retreating back, loud enough for him to hear, see a brief pause mid step then he continues on.

Adding one more insult to soothe your temper, you holler, "Stupid pink haired weirdo!"

It does nothing to pacify your ire when you see his shoulders shaking, and a sudden bark of laughter from his direction.

He stops, turns, and grins. Sharp canine on full display and eyes full of mirth.

"Asshole," you mutter, narrowing your eyes and flipping him off.

You continue walking in the opposite direction, not wanting to have him interrupt your day any longer.

That idiot. With the pink hair and the fucking teeth. God how you want to wipe that smile off his stupid face.

DG is distracted all day.

Seeing your face all scrunched up with righteous anger was frankly adorable. The way there was zero recognition even when you saw him properly, and the viciousness at which you were slinging insults only added to your charm.

If only you thought the same. You spend the rest of your day cursing him.

Misfortune finds you, and luck finds DG when he sees you again the following week.

He recognises the back of you, your posture, the way you hold yourself.

It's not a surprise to him that he does. After all, he's a genius in many things. There's enemies and his past trying to catch up with him around every corner, it pays dividends to be vigilant. 

What is a surprise though, is the shot of joy at seeing you. The smile he has to hold back.

What should have been a no-nothing encounter has spread like a wildfire, burning his skin and blazing over his entire being.

A brief wrinkle in time - the incident, your insults, your attitude and face screwed up and indignant - has left a mark on him.

Catching up then matching you stride for stride, DG murmurs loud enough for you to hear.

"How's the coffee stains?"

Part of him wonders why he asked that. Why the cold Diego Kang persona is dropped and his old bratty James Lee self has reared its cocky head.

Like being around you has flipped a switch.

You turn to face him, confusion fleeting before you take in his pink hair and the haughty, mischievous expression and your eyes widen in shock and recognition.

The smile that he held back breaks through when he notices your lips pursing, the annoyance painted blatantly on your face as you choose to ignore the question.

"Ruined, I take it?"

"..."

"I'll replace it."

"..."

"It's the least I could do."

Curiosity gets the best of you. "What? The coffee?

"No, your clothes."

Who even offers to buy people clothes?! You give him an incredulous look and receive a full on grin in return. 

There's that damn canine again. You wonder if it's as sharp as it looks.

"No thanks."

DG shrugs, "Ok just the coffee then."

You pull another face at that. Is this guy for real? Is he trying to ask you out for a coffee? Just as you're about to tell him to piss off, he cuts you off-

His next words surprising even himself-

"...And sorry. For running into you like that."

Huh. You think he's sincere, although his expression seems to be constantly trying to challenge you and he looks very full of himself. But at least, his eyes seem genuine.

Your resolve wavers. You can’t believe you’re even agreeing to this.

"Fine. One coffee."

.

.

DG finds you a little awkward and a lot funny. The way you take your coffee is absolutely disgusting, and your loud slurps are an abomination.

It's endearing as hell.

He watches you watching him. Silence sits well with him. It's a powerplay he has learned to use to his advantage. Whoever breaks first, loses. Useful for media shenanigans and negotiating with idol agents. But he sees you fiddling, your glances when you think he's not looking, feels your unease lingering in the air.

And the silence is broken-

"Do you still keep calling me asshole in your head?"

You choke on your coffee, not expecting such a conversation starter. He's not smiling, face blank, but you hear the playfulness behind the words. 

Still, you grimace because it's true.

"And other things." You confess.

"I see."

Then he leans forward. Gives you a nod as a form of introduction.

"I'm Dieg-" he pauses. Thinks he's always been a good judge of character and makes a split decision that he hopes will come to bear fruit. "James Lee."

"James," You say. Casually. Not knowing the weight of the secret he has let you in on. You gesture to the cup in your hand, "Thanks for the coffee."

It's... nice. It's been so long since anyone has called him by his name without any expectation. Or malice or animosity.

A clean slate.

James Lee nods again in acknowledgement and sips quietly on his own drink.

This really is nice.

Fuck it.

"Can I get your number?" He asks, holding out his phone, and internally cringes although the outside remains a mask of cool, self-assured confidence. 

It's been so long since he's had to do this. He's used to actors and starlets and models throwing themselves at him without having to do any leg work. Do people even ask for numbers anymore or is it social media handles now?

"So I can warn you the next time I'm speeding round the corner, drink in hand."

Ugh, what a line, you think, huffing out a laugh. He really is an asshole.

You reach out for it anyway, and tip tap away, adding in your details before handing it back.

"Y/N," James reads, savouring the syllables.

He likes the sound of your name as much as his own on your lips.

🪱Wiggly Worm Wednesday 🪱

Thank you so much for tagging me @formosusiniquis and @sidekick-hero 💛🖤It's been ages, but I finally have some down time and some thoughts to share!

Transcribed and expanded upon from an idea I discussed with @inkfowl on discord a while ago, this one is always kind of burning at the back of my brain:

Steddie soulmate AU where Steve and Eddie are not each other's soulmates.

Like, maybe Steve's romantic soulmate is Nancy (because of course Robin will always be his true platonic soulmate), but Nancy, being someone who goes against the grain and doesn't want the system to dictate to her who she is, will be, or will be with, already rejected Steve for Jonathan in the earlier seasons. She didn't want to end up trapped in a loveless soulmate marriage by her parents, and she felt called to Jonathan soulmate bond be damned.

Like in canon, Steve was deeply heartbroken at the time when it happened, always being a romantic who wanted to find the one true person he was destined to be with forever. But because he did truly care about Nancy, he let her go, didn't want to stand in the way of her true happiness. And by the time Season 4 rolls around, his own feelings have developed into a healthy friendship with Nancy, having truly moved on the way he told Robin he was in the bathroom confession, and at that point he honestly wouldn't want to go back to the way things were before. Even though he's sad it isn't destined to happen the way it does in all the rom-coms and fairytales, he still wants real romantic love (Robin and the kids more than fulfill the share of platonic and familial love he's looking for, in a way his parents never managed to) and hasn't given up on finding it.

So then the S4 shenanigans happen, Steve officially meets Eddie the DM the kids keep raving about, and falls for him pretty fast even while they're still trying to sort out all the carnage with Vecna.

At first, Eddie keeps pushing Steve in Nancy's direction, because from his perspective, they're soul mates, and it's so clear there's feelings still lingering there. Plus, they'd obviously be a badass perfect couple, just look at them. (And if that's the perfect excuse Eddie tells himself to keep from getting too tangled up in his own feelings, well that's a secret for him and no one else.)

But even in the aftermath of the Upside Down shenanigans, Steve and Nancy still don't get back together, and Steve is insistent that they're just friends, managing to convince Eddie that he's being sincere. So, something tentatively starts to build between them. Nothing officially romantic, yet, but they're slowly working their way up to it, flirting and feeling each other out.

And sure, they shouldn't make sense on paper--in the larger scheme of the universe, they don't, allegedly, given the lack of soulmate mark binding them together. But besides just genuine attraction, everything that happened has bonded them together, and they genuinely feel safe together, able to open in ways they can't even with some of their closest friends. They might not have many surface things in common like shared hobbies and interests, but when it comes to the things they both think actually matters, they have a lot in common--like their protectiveness over the kids, a shared inherent silliness, etc. They make each other laugh, they comfort each other on bad nights when the nightmares keep them up. It seems only a matter of time before the tension overwhelms them and they collide together, finally make it official the way Robin is impatiently waiting on them too.

...But then Eddie's own soulmate waltzes into the picture.

Steve finds himself heart-broken all over again, because he's always the second choice. And how the hell is he supposed to compete with Eddie's actual, honest-to-god soulmate? Especially when the guy is just perfect for him--completely into metal, a nonconformist, knows and likes all the songs that Eddie likes. The guy is even hot which pisses Steve the hell off. But he tries to hide it, do what he did for Nancy and push his feelings aside as he encourages Eddie to take his shot with the guy like a good friend would. Because if he really cares about Eddie, then he should just be happy for him, right? He's getting the shot Steve never did.

Robin insists, from the outside looking in, that Eddie seems a lot more conflicted than Steve is willing to see. Confused and hurt at first when Steve pulls away. Going on dates with the guy only after Steve seems so insistent that he give him a chance, telling him he should be excited because It's your honest to god soulmate, dude!

But even as he tries to be supportive, Steve's jealousy keeps bubbling up. Things eventually come to a head in an argument.

"I don't care why you care so much anyway, Harrington! Now's your perfect chance to swoop in--you've got Miss Perfect Nancy Wheeler out there just waiting for you to get your shit together, stop 'experimenting,' and finally go back to her!"

"Newsflash, Eddie! I already told you, I'm not in love with Nancy. And besides, it wouldn't matter even if I was, since I'm her second choice, just like with you, just like--with everybody!"

And then Steve presses an arm over his face to hide his tears, but Eddie catches his wrist and tugs it down.

“Yeah, except, that's where you're wrong, Stevie boy,” he says, cupping Steve’s face in his hands and brushing away his tears with his thumbs, “because you're not. My second choice. Some stupid ass birthmark can’t tell me shit. I don’t want him, I don’t want anyone else, Stevie. Just you."

And then they get an epic, tearful kiss, and Eddie makes some crack about how it's super conformist to end up with your soulmate, anyway, not a very metal thing to do, and Steve lets out a watery laugh in the crook of his neck and then kisses him to shut him up.

Eddie tells Steve all about how he misses his and Steve's silly arguments, and finds it boring that his soulmate and he always seem to agree on things, because where's the fun in that? There's no real spark. None of the push-and-pull he gets when exposing Steve to his interests and the times Steve actually gets into it. Or the delighted confusion when Steve tries to get him into something new and Eddie realizes he actually does like it, or even when he doesn't, seeing Steve enjoy it is enough to make him go from disgust to fond tolerance. And Steve admits he missed it all too, so much, even the metal songs Eddie forced him to listen to that Steve hates he's been playing on a loop while he wallows.

"I want this," Eddie tells him, kissing the tear tracks from Steve's face, "you're here, Stevie, and you're real, and this feels more right than anything else ever has. So, whaddya say, big boy? Will you have me?"

"You're my first pick, Eds," Steve admits, smiling softly, "there's nobody else I'd rather have on my team but you."

Then Eddie complains about Steve marring his love confession with a sports metaphor, and how it's not even true, anyway, because he knows Robin is actually Steve's first draft or whatever. Steve teases him about picking up sports lingo before shutting him up the best way he knows how--with his lips.

And they of course live happily ever after making their own love work, building it together. Even if it doesn't makes sense on paper, even if it's not predestined, they picked it and its theirs. At the end of the day, as far as they're concerned--that's all that really matters.

Once Diego and I walked in we were instantly bombarded with the scent of alcohol and old men.

“This is interesting,” I whispered to Diego

The place wasn't the typical bar; it wasn't overly crowded, just a few guys talking at the counter. Some turned to look at us but said nothing. Diego looked especially out of place because he was glaring at everyone trying to look around for Klaus. But it didn’t take me a long time to spot him, he stood next to a wall of different framed photos. My face dropped when I saw him wiping tears away with the back of his hands. Diego and I moved quickly towards him, but quietly so we wouldn’t scare him.

Diego placed his gloved hand on the back of Klaus’s shoulder, instead of his normal self he looked stressed when he saw us standing there. He just sighs, “look, just go away please”

“Please just talk to us,” I whispered in a calm voice.

“We’re not leaving till you tell us,” Diego adds.

But Klaus takes that as an insult and scoffs. “Is that a threat, you're threatening me?” And with that Diego takes his hand off the man's shoulder, I fear that he's too far gone in the slums to talk to right now.

By the steps of another person, I knew we were about to have our first complaint of the night. When I turned around I saw an old man who had a veteran pin on his shirt. He looked unhappy with our presence but tried to keep calm to the best ability.

“Hey guys, and lady..” he starts. “This bar? It’s for vets only.”

“I am a vet,” Klaus calls out while still facing the photos.

The vet lets out a chuckle. “Really? Where’d you serve?” He looks at me thinking that this is one big joke, but I know he's dead serious.

“None of your business.” Klaus barks out.

That leaves the man stunned for a second. “You got balls comin’ in here, pretendin’ you’re one of us.”

“Oh, I have every right to be here just like you.” Klaus turns around. “Asshole.” He yells.

The man's calm and collected face turned into rage at Klaus’s comment and staggered towards him. Which caused us to panic, Diego pushed him back and I took a step in front of Klaus shielding him with my body.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey. Slow down, Marine.” Diego tried to de-escalate the situation. “All right? My brother’s just had a few too many. Let’s just call it a day, All go our own way.” Even though he wanted to leave, I was happily ready to start a fight.

The other men in the bar start to surround us to look in on the argument going on. “Sure thing.” The man smirks while looking at his friends and walks backward leaving us space to get out of the bar.

Diego sighs. “Thank you, man. Klau-“

“As long as you apologize.” The man puts his hand on Diego's chest to stop him from leaving. Klaus only giggles at the man's stupidity.

Diego stares at him, mouth agape. “Fine. I’m sorry. He's sorry. She’s sorry. We’re all sorry. So.. are we good?” Diego asks. The man pauses and stares and has a bright idea to say. “I wanna hear him say it.”

“You're pushing your luck.” I cut in while glancing around the room at all the angry faces. All the other vets in the bar seemed to circle us wanting to start something.

“If any of you guys have a problem, leave it with me.” I address the room.

I've always been quick to get emotional, especially pissed off when someone was trying to get at Klaus.

Diego stares at me in desperation before turning to the man with fear. “ Hey, man, I’m just trying to solve this okay? It doesn’t have to be a big thing” He tells the man.

“No no no no, he’s right, Y/n. He’s right. He's right.” Klaus turns to the chaos unfolding that he started. “I’d like to apologize…” he walks over to the man with a hand on his chest, trying his best to be sincere.

But Diego takes it genuinely and takes a sigh of relief that this will all be over now. Knowing Klaus it was just getting started.

He continues to speak. “That you.. are depriving some village of their idiot!” He screams.

The chaos reaches a breaking point when the man swings at Klaus, but thankfully he dodges and gives him a headbut in return that sends the man flying back. I give Diego a grin and he rolls his eyes at me and punches a man who comes towards him.

We left the bar with way more blood on our hands from when we came in originally and looking back, I think we overdid it. The walk back to Diego's car was silent except for Klaus's occasional giggle and the wisp of golden light entering everyone’s bodies. As we entered the car I once again got in the passenger's seat leaving Klaus in the back as we sped off to a random location of Diego’s choosing.

The location happened to be the street that faced Griddy’s which made Klaus and I want to go get doughnuts but we stayed to listen to what Diego was saying. “You got a big mouth, you know that?” He said while looking at Klaus through the rearview mirror and laughing

“Oh, wow what a truly shocking revelation, Diego.” Klaus reached into his pocket to pull out some substance, even now all these years with him I never knew what he was taking.

Diego continued talking and laughing. “Yeah, everything’s a big joke to you right?” Until he glances at the back seat to see Klaus trying to swallow the pill. “Would you stop it?” He yells.

Diego tries to pull away the drugs from the man and they start struggling back and forth like two children fighting for the last candy. It ended with Diego victorious and Klaus pouting and slamming his hands against his seat in a sort of tantrum

“Why are you putting this shit in your body?” Diego asks him. Klaus blows raspberries in response. “Check this out. Hm?” Diego lifts his shirt and turns in his seat towards Klaus. “My body is a temple. All that shit you do man, it's just weakness.” He says while patting his abs.

I didn't even think a person could be that ripped, not even Diego, I don’t know why I kept staring. It started to feel a little concerning.

Klaus slouches in his seat. “Oh wow, beautiful. Well, weakness feels so good. Don’t you agree Y/n?” His sarcastic words break me from my trance as he sneakily tries to pop another pill.

This time Diego smacks him on his head. “What’s goin’ on with you? Huh?” He raises his voice.

“Don’t hit me, asshole!” Klaus shouts back.

The two of them get in each other's faces. I had to physically press on their chest for them to not start hitting each other again. “Stop it!” I chimed in.

“Don’t tell me everything's alright, because I saw you in there. You were crying like a baby!” Diego points in the direction where the place was while talking to Klaus.

“Because I lost someone!” Klaus breaks down and Diego stops and takes a deep breath letting Klaus talk. “I lost someone. One of the only.. One of the only people I've ever truly loved more than myself.

That leaves Diego with his mouth open lost in thought as well as myself, Klaus takes it as a sign that he can finally pop his pill in peace. “Cheers.” He calls out to us before swallowing.

“Well, you are luckier than most,” Diego says quietly. “When you lose somebody, at least you can.. see them whenever you want.

He’s right, from what I know Klaus can do that. He did it when he accidentally stepped on a dying bird when we were fourteen after Ben got upset that he just squished it. Wait a minute, Ben.. if Klaus truly wanted he could see Ben. He’s always been a sour topic but I wonder if he’s tried it before. I told myself that I needed to ask him about that later.

We all sat in silence until I took a look through the rear view mirror towards the street at Griddy’s. I wanted a donut, even if I didn't need it to survive. “Guys do yo-“

They both looked at my shocked face. “Do we what, Y/n?” Klaus asked

I felt a strange feeling in my bones. It was the feeling of someone’s heartbeat I've felt before, and of course, I hear a lot of the same ones day to day but this one was different. It was troubled and lost, and it was the exact heartbeat I heard when the mansion was attacked. “Oh my god..” I whispered. “The man with the bear mask from the mansion is right over there.” They followed my pointing finger and we all slightly tensed.

I was right, he was right there getting in his car. If it wasn't for his body signals I wouldn't be able to tell that was him since he looks so different without the mask.

“Hey, I know that guy, he and a really angry lady tortured me. I barely got out with my life.” Klaus restates.

I look at Diego to see his reaction and he stares at me, we have that type of understanding with each other now. As the man's car pulled out of the parking lot we knew what we needed to do.

“We gotta get this guy.” We all speak at the same time.

“Singles instead of doubles. What’s next, futons on the floor?” I complained as I entered our new motel room.

Cha-Cha only groans. “What difference does it make? We're only here for another night.”

I set my donut bag and my coat on my tiny bed. “Well, that's easy for you to say, I've been in every pawn shop all over town, lookin’ for our briefcase. And you’ve been relaxing in the library.”

She scoffs and pulls out a small book from her bag on the tv stand. “Well, at least we know somethin’ on the family that can help.” I give her a confused glance. “This book, it's like a Hargreeves family handbook.”

“And let me tell you, they’re a real freakin’ mess. Number Five can time travel without a briefcase, but not that well. The big oaf lived on the moon for a few years. The junkie can really conjure the dead. Which explains why he knew about the dead Russian yesterday. And the idiot in the mask can curve anything that he throws, usually knives.”

I turn to look out the window that was concealed by heavy cloths, just to see what’s going on around us. A sudden sound draws my attention and it’s a car, my car that’s currently being looked at by the knife man.. and her.

“What about the girl?” I turned back to Cha-Cha.

“Be more specific,” She said. “The one who I supposedly beat to death the other day.” I did truly regret that, that was dirty work that I hoped to rid myself of. If Agnes knew I did that to one of her past employees it would be over between us.

Cha-Cha scrolls between the pages trying to look for a part on the girl. “Found it, holy shit. That bimbo can heal herself and anyone around her.”

“Her and the knife boy are the ones we have to worry about right now.” I sigh.

“Why?”

“Because they are currently in the parking lot right now hiding behind an ice cream truck.”

“Fuck”

“Bingo” Diego says while staring at Hazel and Cha-Cha. They quickly peaked out their window to stare at us before shutting the blinds again. I told him that was a stupid plan to make them see us but I guess it worked in the end.

He started to prepare, grabbing his knives and suiting up to take these murders down. We only looked at him. “You do know that killing these people is not gonna make you feel any better,” Klaus says.

“Yeah.. but when it's done, I'm gonna sleep like a baby,” Diego replies with a smile.

“Sure you will..”

A knock at the door alerts us, Cha-Cha was doing whatever she does but I was sitting just trying to eat my donut. I turned to her as we grabbed our guns and headed for the door. I stand at the window and she stands behind the door

With our guns drawn we prepare for an ambush from the Hargreeves, I drop my gun down when I see who’s standing at the door from the window. “Motel clerk,” I told Cha-Cha.

She quickly opened the door and there he was, an old man with a note in his hand. Without saying anything he hands her the note and walks away. “It’s from Five.”

“How’d he even find us?” I questioned.

“Well, he was us. He knows all the protocols. He says he has the briefcase and wants to set up a meeting.” Her eyebrows raise at the note. “Come on, we’re late already.”

I start to pack up my belongings to leave but stop when I remember our stalkers. “What about our friends outside? The last thing we need is a tail. Remember Manila, 1902?”

She stops for a second. “Let’s just go with the ice bucket.” The ice bucket was a plan we’ve used for ages against situations just like this. It starts with me leaving the motel with the ice bucket and Cha-Cha leaving out the window after putting on the tv to make it seem like we're there.

And that's exactly what we did.

We watched as Hazel left the motel with an ice bucket instead of his gun and instead of with his partner. “I don’t get it..” I told the group.

“Yeah me neither.” Klaus agreed.

“Stay in the car,” Diego told us.

Klaus and I break into spatters of what and why. “What are you talkin’ about? This guy tortured me.” Klaus said. “There’s no way I'm letting you go by yourself, Diego,” I add on.

He just gives us a look. “I have a plan.” And leaves.

This is a perfect time to ask Klaus about what I wanted to do before. “Hey, Klaus..” I start. He looks up at me. “Remember when Diego said that when you lose somebody you can see them whenever you want? I can't believe i never thought about it this way and I know he’s something we don’t talk about much. But do you see Ben?” I finished my anxious rambling.

Klaus just gives me the most wide eye stare ever.

“Is everything okay?" I asked

One minute he’s looking at the spot next to him the next minute he’s leaping out of the car and running away from me toward Diego.

“Klaus??” I yell out to his darting figure. What the hell was that?

That was the most uncomfortable moment I’ve ever had in a car, and I’ve been in a cop car several times. Ignoring the voice of Ben yelling at me I book it to Diego to go help him.

I see him on the top of the staircase getting ready to jump out. “So, what exactly is the plan here, big guy? Oh, I’m sorry that I ruined your moment.”

“I told you to wait in the car.”

“Yeah, but you also told me that licking a nine-volt battery would give me pubes.” He slowly turns to me. “We were eight.” Diego tries to justify. I just shrugged at him. “Plus the car was getting a little stuffy.”

“You know I don’t understand you. I thought you liked being around Y/n.” Not what she’s asking questions about my dead brother..

I pretend I can't hear him and instead, I jump out to see if there’s anyone there like Diego was doing before I came over. But instead of seeing my captors, he grabs hold of me and brings me down the stairs.

“What? Oh, come on.” I whined.

“For once in your life, I need you to listen to me, okay? Now go back to the car. If I don’t come back in two minutes, that means I’m probably dead. That happens, go grab Y/n. She’ll know what to do. Okay?”

I huff at him but he’s dead serious. “Yeah, okay, okay, okay.” He runs back upstairs leaving me free to follow him again. But then he stops and raises his arm for me to leave. “Okay. I'm going "I yell.

I decided to wait at the bottom of the stairs, knowing the conversation headed for me inside the car would be pretty heated, but the conversation came towards me when Y/n ran over. But she doesn’t say a word to me, instead, she runs up the stairs when she hears Diego burst through the doors of their motel room.

The only thing I see is her hair moving in the wind behind her as I run after her. There was Diego right in front of their door, but also the sound of a revving car coming toward us.

The first gun shot comes from Cha-Cha, who had her mask back on. I realized what they were doing when I heard they’re bodies getting closer and closer. With Klaus protected, from him being behind me, I grab onto Diego and pull him down to the ground. I thought I had saved him because he missed the shot that had come right towards us. But the reality was the bullet still hit Diego and he cried out in pain. I’d have to deal with that soon before it starts to really affect him.

Soon their car had passed us, and it was finally over. Klaus was the first to speak. He was raving about how if he went back to the car, I wouldn’t have come out and Diego would’ve been hurt more. “Oh man, see? You used to think I was an idiot.” He cheered.

Diego and I tried to catch our breath from the crazy thing that just happened while we looked at Klaus. “Well, I still think you’re an idiot. Come on, they're getting away.” Diego says.

“But you have a bullet in you Diego” I try to stop him.

“No time, deal with it later.” He shouts and speeds off towards the car. Klaus gives me a small smile. “You’re welcome!” He tells me.

I narrow my eyes at the gleeful male. “Don’t think we're done talking about this, Klaus Hargreeves.” He gives me a fearful look and runs after Diego.

Once we return to the car we’re yelled at to get in, but he doesn’t look down and realize that our tires have been shot out, and when he does, he starts to freak out.

“Was this all a part of your master plan?” Klaus asked.

“Shut up.”

I look around for alternative ways to get Hazel and Cha-Cha and my eyes reach the ice cream truck right next to us.

By the grace of God, I'm able to track down Hazel and Cha-Cha just by listening out for them, something I never thought I was able to do in a sea of people everywhere.

We are led out of the city and towards the countryside following these people. The only thing I hear is the sound of Klaus and Diego wondering where we’re going every five seconds. And being squished in the front of an ice cream truck didn’t help it either.

Once we could make out the car in the distance Klaus insisted that we turn on the ice cream truck siren, something about looking more inconspicuous I don’t know I wasn’t listening.

Their plan was simply to run into them with the ice cream truck. What we didn’t expect was Five and Luther, there they were standing in front of another car looking at us like we were crazy.

I immediately thought that this was a bad idea but with Klaus's crazy driving, it had already been too late. All I hope is that I would come back if I died doing this, just to haunt Klaus’s ass.

He waved at Five and Luther before picking up speed. “Go faster!” Diego shouted. Why am I here with these morons? Is what I thought to myself.

Hazel and Cha-Cha looked confused for a minute before pointing their guns at us and shooting. That’s when I remember why I’m here, to save these two from dying. But the truck was surprisingly sturdy, and as we ran into them, only the glass was busted.

I looked back at the others, and I saw Luther concealing Five’s body with his own, the same thing I would’ve done in that situation.

But I wasn’t in the ice cream truck anymore. I hadn’t looked at Luther and Five. None of that happened because now all I remember seeing is a familiar blue light and landing in hard grass. Along with Five and a strangely dressed woman.

They both looked fine, but I was very dazed. “Where am I?”

“Welcome to the commission Y/n L/n, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

AITA for bad-mouthing my boyfriend’s toxic family?

I (20f) have a boyfriend (21m) who is physically disabled and still currently living at home with his parents for a while as he tries to scrape his savings together to move in with me. This wouldn’t be an issue, if his parents weren’t immensely transphobic (he’s trans) and outright abusive towards him. Despite having an official doctor’s diagnosis for ALL of his issues, both mental and physical, they just?? Like to pretend that he’s completely able-bodied, and that he’s making up his issues “for attention” (<- something that they’ve actually said to him)

My bf isn’t ready to leave the house just yet because he doesn’t want to feel like a burden and wants to be able to support himself without my help, despite my constant offering and support, but this ofc just means that he’s STAYING in that house, and it’s clear that it effects him really negatively. He’s improved a lot since I’ve met him in high school, but him being in that house is just. Awful for his health, his self esteem, literally everything. I guess I understand his reasonings for not leaving (he’s on his parents’ health insurance, his dad’s a vet so he gets a ton of money off his college bill, he’s got a little sister at home that he doesn’t want to leave alone, etc etc), but at the same time, I fucking HATE his parents, more than I’ve ever hated anyone in my life. He’s such an amazing guy, but I’ve seen him reduced to panic attacks just on their words alone, and it’s awful and I hate them.

I’m also very vocal with this hate. I tell him all the time. Whenever he vents to me, or mentions something awful that his parents have/had done in passing, or tries to excuse their behavior, I will tell him point-blank that I hate his parents and that he needs to leave. He gets incredibly upset whenever I say stuff like that, however, and has asked me multiple times to quit it, but it’s just so hard to see him loving them so fiercely when they literally only give him the bare minimum in return.

The reason for this post at all is because I started going off on a tangent about two days ago when he managed to escape (he has to ask for permission every time he wants to go out) to my place to destress and have a small date night, and I specifically asked him how his parents had been treating him recently because he’d been pretty quiet about it. He got really quiet and eventually told me that they keep adding really weird stuff to do for his household responsibilities (ex: dusting the UNDERSIDE of tables??) and that they’re now threatening to take away the things he loves (his phone, his books, his DOOR) if he doesn’t keep up with the new workload, which is especially hard because, again, he’s DISABLED. Well this pissed me off, because they’ve done shit like that in the past and it never ends well for him, and I started talking about how much his parents suck and how I wish he would just leave, and he got really quiet and just said “I think I’m just gonna leave now” and just. Left

In the aftermath, I feel awful about it. We’ve texted a few times since then, and he says that he’s okay and that it was fine, and how he just needs to get over it, but it’s very clear that he’s still upset by it and just trying not to make it a big issue. I know that he hates it when I badmouth his parents, but I genuinely do not know any other way to get it into his head that he needs to leave as soon as possible, if only to save his own health. I love him so so much, we’ve been together since high school, we would die for each other, and we’ve been through so much that not very many couples have had to go through, especially not at our age. I sincerely just want the best for him, and this feels like I could open the topic again and try to make him SEE, but I’m just worried that I might have upset him this time in a way that he might not be able to get over.

Sorry for this getting so long, I just feel very strongly about it and I want to know if I’m the AH here and should lay off, or keep trying to make him see that he just needs to get out as soon as possible. So tumblr, AITA?

He's a musical prodigy who can not only sing but compose, write and produce while also being a multifaceted artist who can paint, dance and do much more.

• Even before the solo era jungkook's music was not only well received but always pulled numbers be it Still with you or even Euphoria. With the onset of solo careers Jungkook's fame touched newer heights, broke so many records and gained a bunch of new audience.

• His success isn't cuz of mass streaming or 🛴 or company or the word people love to throw around casually 'Payola'. He is genuinely loved by so many people and gp loves the guy. Cry about it ig, idk.

• Armys have been bitter asf about him, although we've seen this behaviour even before his success with seven especially after this weve seen people be so bitter towards him for absolutely no fault of his except succeed in his persuits.

Re: ch2 I would kill for Joe’s pov of this… I’m also so fascinated to pick up the detail that Joe apparently talked to himself regularly, for Harry to hear him through the radiator pipes… one assumes Joe doesn’t have guests. Poor guy! He’s really smart! He likes talking! The assistant job is perfect for himmmm.

Re: ch3, i wonder how much Captain Calloway’s “if you die it’s your own damn fault” has influenced Joe’s life ethos of fucking around and finding out (btw… Harry would be sooo horrified to know Joe had been poisoned 3 times and still tried that chocolate 😭 yet another fun! anecdote of his) … im also kinda curious about Gutters. What’s that guy’s deal. And OF. COURSE. How Captain got all his injuries. It’s also so very sad he feels this tension with the guys, what they’d do to him if they knew more about who he really was. I love this as a metaphor for homophobia…

Ch5 I’m still fixated on the giants who are guarding the place. Hundreds of tinies going there every day… you’d think there’d be snatchers all over the place 👀 and the other great worldbuilding… lab tinies… “they were corralling everyone everywhere and the women and kids went one way…” GOD. also them building tiny capitalism plus tiny race science is just 😭😭😭 noooo… the way Harry reinforces their shared dignity and humanity by showing genuine interest in Joe’s art.. ouuuugh it hits every time.

ALSO I WAS SO SUSPICIOUS OF HILL WHEN I FIRST READ CH6 BUT NOW THST I KNOW HE IS A BONA FIDE WIFEGUY ALL IS REDEEMED. I AM so curious as to why he keeps tiny town schematics in his office if he dislikes it…

Ch7 profoundly funny to me how Hill is like “miniature is the academic term” and Joe is like what. Tinies.

I really appreciate how Harry started off having some uh. Idk. Colonizer savior complex stuff + noble savage ideas about Joe? Like “oh it’s in mother nature’s hands whether he survives then… I see…” as if the tinies social constructs about Pets are some immutable fact of nature instead of. A social construct !! It’s really well-done, how you show him gradually understanding that he needs to listen to Joe, not assume he knows what’s best for him just because he read a 50yr old anthropology book!! It makes me love Harry all the more that he managed to grow through it out of fondness for Joe 🥺

Joe losing his toes to frostbite… realizing that could very likely be from when he was kidnapped and enslaved with O’Grady… uuuugh he’s so brave to want to connect with anybody at all let alone with Harry!!

Ch9 professor wifeguy moments… yesss… I love that he wants to hang out with another tiny too 😭 Joe is making friends!! I can’t wait to find out about Lorraine and what “other place” she knows about!!! Lmfao I can tell she’s going to be incredible just from the little bit Joe hears of her. I wonder too if she’s been marked… aahhh I’m so excited to learn more about these two. How interesting of a parallel, too, that Harry noted Dr Hill might also be a former soldier… something-something folks unable to fully integrate into society finding and building community with each other…

Also PROFOUNDLY interested to note on a reread that the tiny town on his wall says “a SAFE place to be” and the one in Riverdale said “a CIVILIZED place to be” 😬 a damn prison indeed… I also really wonder just HOW the tinies are paying their rent(?) to stay there, if they’re all as disdainful of “borrowing” as a career as O’Grady seems to be…

MAY I JUST NOTE that Joe stimming around is sooo charming to me. He’s kickin’ his legs. He’s pacing back and forth. He’s doing something like that in the walls when Harry was first listening to him. I LOVE HIM.. aND I love how this chapter we see him going from “that tall bastard (derogatory)” to “that tall bastard (amused)”

AND POOR JOE ON THE MOST CURSED FIELD TRIP IMAGINABLE. There is much to love here but I absolutely adore this imagery: “Joe buried himself in the curtain as the doctor, dressed to the nines in his work clothes and vaguely resembling a horse in a brown suit, sidled over to him and towered there and seethed.” HE’S TERRIFIED 😭 and Joe learns that other people value his wellbeing more than he does… wow Joe no need to ponder that any further until Ch15!!!

There’s SO much incredible prose in this chapter… the haaaaands oh my god the hands. The tinies are on the order of 2-3 inches tall, right? You really get a vivid sense of how big and dangerous everything is to them… absolutely A+ stuff.

This part also slays me everytime I think about it: “Joe was hidden inside [the pocket], and the thought of how unhinged his dear neighbour must look to his fellow giants as he walked and talked gave him no small amount of delight.” HE WOUUUULD.

The mystery of just what Joe created as a boy… what he can’t find it in himself to articulate… why he can hardly fathom talking about himself and his inner world to anyone …

PART 10… the difference in the way Joe confronts Harry here vs with the assistant in part 16 is somehow heartbreaking to me. I think the anger must just be displacement for how he’s really feeling (worried, uncomfortable…) and he’s more able to show his feelings to Harry with the assistants than he is now… but Joeeeee. I don’t ever want him to feel hopeless with Harry, like he just has to accept whatever he wants 😭 I love him in this chapter… Arms crossed, eyes narrowed… red faced… clawing at the air as he ranted Jdhdhdj GOD HE’S SO ICONIC: ““Nope. Not gonna happen! Veto!” Joe leapt up from the box, strode all the way to the edge of the table, and jabbed a finger at him. “I don’t know what kind of sick, twisted doctor things you intend to do to people but whatever it is, it’s not happening in my house!”” I guess I want him to still be comfortable with yelling veto at Harry lmao!!

And then Joe being like WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOU SAVING ME THE OTHER DAY. THAT MEANS NOTHING TO ME, A WILD AND INDEPENDENT TINY WHO HAD IT ALL UNDER CONTROL, AT ALL.

ALSO: the way he words this, I have a strong suspicion he does not know the word “patients”?! “”Let’s make a deal in exchange for patients. Give me something in exchange for patients.” Joe stammered. “You do that and I won’t make any trouble.””

Harry thinking of Joe as “the little bastard” in counterpoint to Joe’s “the tall bastard” really makes me smile too, hahahah.

AND THE FURTHER G/T TROPE INVERSION… just because he was willing to get in the giant’s hands one time doesn’t mean he’s suddenly fine with it!! I love how pissed they are at each other over this misunderstanding lmfao. He’s 👏 a 👏 wild 👏 tiny 👏 ‼️

And it’s so meaningful to me that the two of them bond more over sharing art with one another… Harry wants to introduce Joe to an amazing piano player… and Joe is so happy!!! The idea for a Charlie Chaplin bit with a rich miniature woman is SO inspired btw, I was as delighted as Joe was 😭 Harry being like “oh shit wait is this offensive” and then Joe just being like “THIS FUCKS SO HARD LMAO IT REALLY DO BE LIKE THAT”

And then the tragic aftermath… Harry NOTICING that he didn’t even know that he was doing anything wrong by bringing Joe there, it just FELT so dreadfully taboo (enough that Hill, who is MARRIED TO A TINY, also seems like he’s been caught doing something wrong when Harry first meets him)…. and then of course society reinforces that fear in a terrible way. Only a shared humanity regarding love of art saves poor Joe.. how lucky he’s gotten enough exposure to be able to speak in the presence of giants. You have to ponder how many tinies just as wonderfully complex as him have died for not having that skill. It’s so very sad!!! THE IMAGERY OF HIM ON THE LAMP LIKE IT’S A STREETCORNER JUST TWISTED THE KNIFE. Your writing really is so excellent, the way you can carry us through so many different emotions… Joe my belovedddd. I’m simply obsessed with the implications of him NAMING HARRY. WHAT IS /THAT/?? And the way that the narration in the story from this point on swaps to using Harry as his name… it speaks VOLUMES without you needing to elaborate on it at all. Joe has changed him! He’s becoming someone he likes better than Herman! A day we had good luck… Harry is good luck… Luck as a concept very different from what giants think of… I am absolutely enamored with how clearly he has a whole other world, another culture, that Harry can only guess at and be grateful to be included in.

JOE GETTING A NICE BATH AND A COMFORTABLE BED IN THIS CHAPTER IS JUST SO WHOLESOME (even if it will torment his Calvinist sensibilities later…) I am also so charmed to imagine how Joe must have woken up and been like “what the FUCK did I do last night. Where the HELL am I 🤨”

And then in Ch11 he’s like I WILL PROCEED NOT TO THINK OF THAT AT ALL. <- clueless

Ch11 is one of my favorites I think… we really get a good glimpse into how much heavy-duty rationalizing Joe is doing LMAO. “Taking food is fine, because I’m just using this tall bastard.” “It’s fine if I have leisure time.” “It’s fine if I like Harry and his company and I miss him when he’s gone and I want to give him a name.” “AS LONG AS I DON’T GET COMFORTABLE ALL OF THIS IS FINE.” This line is such a banger lol: “Joe Piccoli was many things as he went to sleep that night, but he was not a pet, and he was not comfortable.” And then the mouse!!! That Joe decides to draw rather than kill!!! Look at his needs being met!!!!!

IT ALSO ABSOLUTELY FUCKIN KILLED ME WHEN I REALIZED IN THIS CHAPTER THAT THE BOYS HAVE JUST. FULLY LEFT THAT FLOORBOARD OFF LMFAO??? THAT’S HIS SKYLIGHT NOW…

And then. Good god. The arm scene… it’s just. Soooo. 👌👌👌👌 I’m so … 😵‍💫💖❤️‍🔥…

“I’m a wild tiny!” “You’re going to be a dead tiny if that gets infected.” Their dynamic is so fucking funny. AND THE TENDERNESS OF HARRY TOUCHING JOE… Joe being so overwhelmed not exactly with fear but HMMM I WONDER WHAT EMOTION AND WHY HE MIGHT FEEL SO OVERWHELMED HE STILL NEEDS TO CLOSE HIS EYES AND PRETEND HE’S HIDDEN UNDER THE FLOOR AGAIN… 🤔🤔🤔 whyever would the touch of this kind giant make his hair stand on end and make him contemplate the reverence he’s being touched with and leave his cheeks burning… it is a mystery

And then Joe being so afraid the mouse would be hurt because in contrast to the kindness he’s been shown, he still has this long history of awful experiences with giants.. this part in particular made my heart hurt:

“Don’t kill the mouse, Harry, please don’t kill it. It’s just like me. It hasn’t done anything to you.” Joe begged.

Followed by him remembering that this is /Harry, his friend, who he knows/:

“The words hit Joe like the breaking of a spell, and he stood in the kitchen windowsill feeling downright foolish. Of course Harry wouldn’t kill the mouse, Joe realized - of course he wouldn’t do that.”

OUGH. This story is SO delicious I’m beyond obsessed…

The two of them having a much less Charged encounter after Joe has resolved some of his internal conflicts, at least for the moment… chatting away like they’re two normal friends while Harry touches him… 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH‼️

Their motorcycle shenanigans… Harry showing Joe his precious Contraption and Joe absolutely hating it omg it was so peak 😭 PLAYING “WHO’S-MORE-BORING CHICKEN”… the way Joe is like “I would rather Die than have to listen to this guy talk about how he’s more exciting than me. Absolutely not.”

I also very much appreciate the foreshadowing of the street car on this re-read…

AND may I say I really love that they went on a little nature trip together!!! I have thought often of the potential of a g/t story set outdoors, where the normal sized person and the tiny are both made small by how all-encompassing the wilderness is. Something to do with camping or backpacking! Maybe something I want to write one day! This gave me a delightful taste of that.

AND ANYWAY THE ACCEPTING OF COMFORT EVEN AS IT FLIES IN THE FACE OF EVERYTHING HE’S BEEN TAUGHT TO ROMANTICIZE AND VALUE… ouuuughhh GET LOVED IDIOT!! GET SEEN AND KNOWN AND TAKEN CARE OF!!!

And then ch12… Harry’s realization that Joe won’t ever bring up anything if it’s just for his own benefit. Which by the way, on a re-read I can appreciate how cleverly you’ve set this up, if I didn’t write that clearly enough before! There’s something cultural there but also, I think, something uniquely Joe that Harry maybe can’t fully see yet. Harry’s watch from his parents breaking down at the same moment he’s trying to change his relationship with Joe, the new most important person in his life (at least I presume! He doesn’t seem to have other close friends/family) … very very good. This sentence is so evocative. Simultaneously funny and sad: “With the way Joe’s eyes shifted from side to side one would think the doctor had suggested they go rob a bank.” It’s very good angst realizing how much Harry is asking of Joe without him even knowing it…

BTW this part is so delightful. They’re so interested in each other!!! “When his footsteps announced his arrival, he could see the tiny’s movements through the missing floorboards as his neighbour crossed the floor and climbed back up to the windowsill above the counter.” <- guy who absolutely has NOT been gotten

Also hilarious how Joe and now Harry have both had “mmm I do NOT like the way this guy is smiling right now” moments 🤣

So because of my hentel mealth i havent really been able to read or do creative stuff so Ive just been spending most of my time properly synching up the subtitles i have for various takarazuka Elisabeth productions and idk how coherent this is gonna be bc I dont know how much of an overlap there is between people who like to complain about sjm books and euromusical fans, but I cant stop comparing Death and Rhysand and getting even more pissed off about Rhysand

like, listen, both of these guys are weirdo freaks who feel entitled to and are oddly possessive of a young vulnerable woman but the thing about Death is that hes like that because hes meant to be like, a metaphor for what its like to have suicidal thoughts and for what its like to live in ~turbulant times~ so hes kinda alluring but also very scary and in the original austrian production hes just fuckinh flingin people around, but Rhys is not a metaphor or a personification of a concept, hes just a guy. Not just that but hes meant to be like, the better guy. thats wild right. Rhysand, the guy who endangered Feyre for no fucking reason with the weaver stunt he pulled and whos forced her to lie to and steal from a potential political ally whos been nothing but kind to both of them, is the better one. and im making a point here to only mention the acomaf crimes Ive witnessed so far, obviously hes done and will do a lot worse

And you wanna know what the worst part is? Its what it always comes down to and its what I always complain about, he doesnt even serve cunt. like idk, im working on the 1996 star troupe production where Deathbis played by Asaji Saki and she does a really good job playing this inhuman weirdo experiencing regular sincere human emotions for the first and being made vulnerable by that experience, its genuinely pretty cute. theres this scene where he briefly interacts with rudolf, elisabeths child son, and then it transitions into a different scene and a bunch of recurring adult characters run onstage and Death trips one of them up to make rudolf laugh and its just cute and genuine yknoe. Whenever Rhys has a quote unquote vulnerable moment thats supposed to humanize him (that isnt just him being a horndog) it just feels so fake me, like when he talked to Feyre about Tarquin being easy to love and being noble because he had it easy while Rhysands been suffering or whatever i was just like, buddy youre doing that to yourself, if you wanted equality for the lower fae in the night court you couldve already done that in the 500 years youve been on the throne literally no one is stopping you

This dude came off so sweet and in the app he seemed like this genuine dude. The fact that he was the MC's love interest in college made it seem like a reconnection until you realize the MC was practically his puppy doing everything to make him happy and then when it was her time to confess her love to him he shot her down like her feelings didn't even matter. She spent the next 10 years missing him and still remembering she cared so much about him. So when you meet him you go to the airport because he is a pilot and you hang out and talk and he gives you flowers. He seems so sweet and sincere and he tells you how sorry he was for being a kid back then. Honestly I guess my red flag should have gone up with bullshit meter fast because I wasn't even 2 chapters in and he was happy to be with her and wanting to spend his life with her and so on. He pushed every button then took her to the bar to drink after the second date and then he literally tells you since in the app it says your 100% physically matched he wants to sleep with you to find out if thats so.

When you go to shoot him down he shows how much of a prick he is and even tells you he was just using you to sleep with you. The mc I will admit is ballsy she tells him I will not sleep with you but for the next 30 days or something like that you will want to have sex with me and I won't until you fall in love with me. Honestly I had already spent like 40 hearts on this dude in love365 and was pissing me off cause the ones I used was back when I thought he was nice. So not only did he screw over the mc but me too what a fuckin asshole. Anyways didn't think a character could make my blood boil so fast but I swear he really made me mad as well as the mc. I wouldn't even want him if it was me after the way he acted. Its also why I stopped playing his route to save my hearts for some one worth them. It might turn out he falls in love with her but if they make me mad and I have no interest in them then I won't continue. Its not even like the tsunderes either he is a male chauvinistic pig who wants to sleep with anyone he even tells her he wants her panties until she sleeps with him he is just rude. I'm done wasting my breath on him but I got up to like chapter 10 before I couldn't deal with him anymore because every single date he was just as much as a asshole as the one before it.

Komuro Satoru/Araya Kuze

Now this guy is the guy that followed mc around in high school even when the mc was so in love with Takane. He would find out things about him for the mc and things he liked. He would pass letters or anything she wanted to help her be with Takane even though he was in love with her the whole time. He thought being her friend until she realized Takane was a asshole was better than not being anything at all. He was sweet and genuine he was also 2 years behind the mc so she went to college with Takane and it was a different college than Araya got into so they were separated. Until this app and they matched at 99% and the moment he realized it was her he was over the moon. They connected right away when they met and I swear this man let nothing stay hidden he admitted he had wanted to see her so bad in the last few years. They had dinner and went back to the bar to drink and just joking about good times together and such. She gets super drunk and they go to leave and she falls but he catches her. They kiss then he confesses he has been in love with her since high school.

She is so out of it she doesn't pull away from the kiss and she had been treating him all night like he was a kid cause he was younger than her. He tells her when they get to messing around please give me one night, you can do whatever you want to me and I will never thing bad of you, I just want to feel important to you and feel like you see me. They end up back at his place and they have sex and then she wakes up the next morning and freaks out. He apologizes however she makes him feel like he really did something wrong with both of them had been drinking she kinda made me mad with that honestly because he is a sweetheart. Then he continues to apologize and even tells her he takes complete fault for it and he would like it if she would let him make it right. She is kind of like what? But he goes into tell her how he feels, and how things went down and that he thought they were on the same page and how they were connected that night. He then says but give me a chance let me be your boyfriend and then you can take that it was not a one night stand. It was so sweet how he came up with this after expressing how he has always felt.

He is a lyrist and all his songs over the last 5 years or so has been written about her and no one else. She is his heart, muse, and love of his life she is his destiny. He altered his name just for the app so that no one knew it was him since he is famous. She agrees and its so nice to see him when girls throw themselves at him he shuts them down and makes it very clear she is his only important person. Like omg.... this man is a freakin keeper such a difference from the first guy and to think she knew them at the same time yet chose the pig over this cinnamon roll. One of the sweet things he did was rented out a whole theme park for her and brought her to overlook it then turned on the lights and lit it all up for her. That was like the sweetest yes he has money but as long as he gets to spend it on her he is happy.

He even tells her that since high school she has been his princess and just wants to do right by her. I was in such awe when he told her he wanted to be with her and he wanted to marry her in the future like how many men just know and the fact he just knew since highschool thats alot of years being in love with one person. There was a bit of drama of a ex fiancé trying to come between them but to show his love he took her to a jewelry store to get her any engagement ring she wanted. So anyways alot of drama came out of things later in the story. It comes back that it was all a lie he set up the app the ex fiancé all of it to make her give him a chance and to fall in love with him. He was afraid she would never give him a chance any other way. Then when he realizes he lied to her and it hurt her he felt like he wasn't worthy of her so he tried to leave her and let her live her life without him because he did love her. I mean in the end she doesn't let him leave that easy and they end up together.

Honestly I guess in away its a bit of a betrayal and I think he will have to make it up to her because it was like their relationship was built on a lie. However I think their love for each other I think they would be fine. On voltage's side I will say after all the hearts that I paid for that I ate through in this game mostly on this guy it was a bit of a disappointment. His character I love in the end just for a happy ending there are alot better stories than how this one played out. I think if I had a 5 star rating system for this game would be 3 it loses 2 stars because of the fact it almost felt like the pay to play shit and then even after that you don't even get the kind of ending that you really should have.

A kind of love letter to the kink family!

So something happened this passed weekend that I wanted to highlight in a post. Or well…a lot of things happened this weekend and I think I’ll write about another, more sexy thing tomorrow. But today I want to show my appreciation for this community. The kink community when it’s at it’s best. 

Quick setting - we were on a cabin trip getaway. I don’t want to share too many details this openly but 25-30 ish bdsm-ers in an isolated cabin for a couple of days. Loads of fun in a lot of ways.

Anyway. At one point I was with Madame and she had left her shoes by a couch where a bunch of people were just sitting and hanging out and chatting and such. She asked me to go get them and I did. I was at this point wearing a pair of briefs with an open butt which has some semi-relevance to the story. I was kink-dressed basically. So I went in there and as I bent down to grab Her shoes, a guy sitting on one of the couches lightly smacked my butt with a riding crop. Neither me or Madame knew him from before or had any dynamic or consent agreed with him. I didn’t react at the time, I just got the shoes and left. I should have reacted, I’ll get back to that, but I didn’t. My brain was just ”get the shoes, that’s what I’m here to do”. So I just left quickly. But what I learned later was that a woman who was also sitting there, she reacted on my behalf and told him that you can’t do that because of X, Y and Z. Consent and that’s not how it works, sub doesn’t automatically mean sub to you and all that. Not creating any drama but clearly explaining that hey, you can’t do that. It’s not ok. And it makes me really happy and warm to think about that someone who I didn’t really know either, I only just met her the day before, had the wits and guts to stand up for me and my rights and stand up for the rules and practices we have that makes this community work despite all the ”horrible” things we do to each other. 

Then obviously Madame found out and even though I’m sure She was pretty pissed off on the inside She also calmly and without creating drama joined the conversation between him and the other lady. That also made me happy and made me feel safe. And he without any fuzz acknowledged that he was in the wrong, he sincerely apologized and explained why he had thought it was ok. Turns out he seemed like a genuinely alright guy but very inexperienced and had misunderstood the situation and what he had witnessed going on while at the cabin - he had not picked up on how everything is negotiated and agreed on one way or another. He had most likely seen other people beating my butt earlier that day but then under Madame’s agreement and supervision. 

And that’s why I’m also glad that the whole thing was solved without drama and just with a calm, mature conversation. People have the right to make mistakes, especially when they’re new at something and when it’s a genuine mistake and not just being an entitled asshole. It doesn’t make it ok but it happens. We’re all human and this was after all in the grand scheme of things no real harm done. And rather than scolding him and yelling and scaring him away or calling him out in front of the whole group, he got a learning opportunity which he also actually took and asked good, sincere questions to better understand the dynamics of things on these types of events. 

Now - should I have reacted myself? That’s mainly what I’ve been thinking about these last few days? Or well. Yes, I absolutely should have. But I have been thinking about why I didn’t. And I want to share that because well, maybe you reading this work the same way and want to discuss it. Have you been in a similar situation perhaps? Or maybe you reading this have a sub that works the same way and then it might help you understand them better which is a win-win for the both of you. Now there’s 2,5 reasons I didn’t react. The half one is that I was facing the other way so I didn’t see who it was. In the moment I thought it was another guy I was already a bit annoyed with because I just found him annoying and I just didn’t feel like talking to him. But having thought about it some more I don’t think that was a real reason. No, the first thing is what my focus was on. My focus was on getting those shoes and going back to Madame with the shoes. My mind was set on that so despite feeling the tap on my butt, my mind carried on with ”get the shoes and go back”, almost on autopilot. Had the hit been harder it might have changed. It wasn’t hard at all. That doesn’t make it more ok but a harder hit had perhaps snapped me out of autopilot. I’ll never know. And the other reason which is a bit more profound I suppose - when in that type of setting and in that mindset, I’ve already accepted that it’s not my decision who gets to hit me and how and when, it’s Madame’s decision. So in that situation - I’m feeling a bit vulnerable and exposed because of what I’m wearing, my mind is focused on a task, no matter how simple and trivial it might be, and I’m in sub-mode meaning in my head I’ve already accepted that anyone can slap my bum with a riding crop as long as Madame is ok with it. It’s in any case not up to me. Now this doesn’t mean I was right. Like I said, I should have reacted and at the very least I should have told Madame myself. But in that moment I just didn’t react mentally or physically to it at all. It just happened and that was that and I had something else I was doing. That’s something I need to learn from. But while I’m learning - I’m so happy and glad that this amazing community when it’s at it best - works the way it does. When we stand up for each other and our shared values, when we handle problems maturely and non-confrontational and when we accept when we were wrong and try to learn from it - well then the kink family is quite simply one hell of a family and I love to be part of it!

Bark: the kinds of things he enjoys doing as a wolf. Sorta goes along with whatever his pack (family) does & never really spent time with someone special during a shift. hasnt dated in a while and doesn't plan to open up about wolf stuff to (or even get) a partner because somethings going pretty wrong with it. unfortunately for him Bite finds out and decides to entertain wolf-him during full moons, if only because he knows human-Bark will be devastated by the thought that they had genuine fun together the next day Bite: to be real he's not big on talking about himself in general. not necessarily because he wants to Keep Secrets he just doesn't think being understood is worth his time

Bite would rather be excluded if nobody really wants him there. Can and will start arguments over that sort of thing. Bark would rather be invited as an empty gesture & would turn them down bc he knows it's hollow but appreciates the thought nevertheless

What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?

Bite has some random turns of phrases he picked up from his dad. He tries hard to make that the only thing he carries on from him. Bark has a specific "getting down to business" way of sitting down / sitting forward he got from his mother. Bark doesn't really have a hobby. He plays valorant if his friends are on but also has a really awful relationship with it because he doesn't like it. Bite is no good with gore. Blood is fine and fantastic but gore WILL make him nauseated. throws up sometimes because of it

Bite: Nobody. A blunt "you'll be okay" is the most he wants out of anyone. Bark: Pretty much anybody will do, but he doesn't really believe their reassurance because he tries to bottle his fear up. He does secretly miss his dad but hasn't realized this himself. When he's freaked out about The Issue he prefers strangers or nurses over anyone he knows because he does Not want them knowing what's wrong

What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often?

Bite is careful with himself he doesn't do this. Whenever Bark's mental state is bad he showers more often and simultaneously forgets to wash his hair. if he's not whiteboy in peril mode its ok tho

Some thoughts on How to Prey on your Master.

It's a webcomic that I've been reading. It follows two characters more or less. Dame Elle or sir Elle who is a lady knight. Her family is in some debt but she has a fiance she loves very much, and a job as a knight, specifically a royal one to the Princess Pippin who is her fan after Elle saved her from a kidnapping. Elle has a fanclub(whose president is the second older princess Charlotte) and is fairly popular with the lady's and is serious and sincere about her job...which also seems to have made her a bit of a target by people who are jealous and wants to bring her down.

A example we start out with is her fiance gets stolen by someone she had thought of as a friend being tricked by sone lies but also just being a weak willed weenie despite being at least a semi good fiance before(which I can't tell is better or worse than the fiances who are complete irredeemable from the get go).

She has friends in high places who get pissed on her behalf...and a friend she hadn't known she had is Theo. The mad dog that gets assigned to her to both reign in and to be her Aide in the knight order. He seems related to the royal family ir the high end of royal peopke at least which is kindof fun because he is technically below her as she is his boss...but also he has alit of influence and he gives ZERO shits on how he is perceived. Ergo one of the reasons he has this reputation is he killed a bunk of people at the academy...yet tge mystery is ge and Elle haven't really talked as much as Elke is aware of at least yet he is clearly fond of her and calls her master. Often comparing himself to a loyal 🐕.

We generally see Elle solve crimes and get caught up in shenagans while dealing with her broken heart while also dealing with this strange new aide of hers who helps distract her from that broken heart.

Honestlybher ex fiance is trash but I do like how we don't move from him TOO fast. She did after all genuinely like the guy and had her trust broken and Theo isn't her type at first.

What I enjoy the most is its clear theory genuinely respects her...but he also isn't really hiding his personality. He's pretty honest about how he feels despite how we don't understand him at first. And she is fully aware of his crazy...but unlike other male leads who are JUST POSSESIVE and crazy....we end up finding out something interesting.

Theo actually has memories of a previous timeline of the people we are in...and we see that he didn't just instantly fall for her. It seems someone tricked him into opening a door and letting bad guys in by using that his father was 'missing' which was actually a plan someone had to blame Elle...and Elle actively chose to take the fall to protect his life despite them having only talked and handfull of times...and he visited her everyday while he looked for who was actually responsible which resulted in them growing closer and falling in love mutually. We also see that aspect of her protecting others not just applying to him but many others inbthe timeline we are in as well while she isn't just a push over.

We also see he isn't a natural mad dog. All the people he killed at the academy were people directly connected with the bad end Elle recieved in that first timeline. As in the end she refused to let him take the fall and got her head chopped off while everyone talked shit about her honor...which is why our male lead in the timeline we follow is very particular about defending her...both honor wise but also trying to cut the death flags at their roots. And to HIM she Is both his love and a dear friend who protected him even when they were barely aquantiences and who he wants to live a good long life. The dude is literally traumatized by holding her severed head from the original timeline...and while he can cross what's normal at times....

Its always clear he cares about her opinion and that he isn't just being protective for no reason...but he also will let her fight her own battles as well and wants her to use him so things won't overwhelm her.

What I find most fascinating is in that first timeline he wasn't a mad dog. He had actually ended up the princesses bodyguard knight after saving pippin from a kidnapper in the other timeline...so we see certain things differ...for example pippin and Charlotte who in the timeline we follow absolutely adore Elle to the point they try to fight for time with her and admire her don't care about her in the original timeline.

Its jaring...especially because Charlotte clearly has admiration and a big crush on Elle in our timeline ...yet we find out she was one of the voices saying she witnessed Elle killing a girl named Lauren(which wasn't true) and she didn't care about Elle in the other timeline...she seemed closer to Theo....but it'd hard to say exactly how she felt because Pippin while adoring Elle as her bodyguard in our timeline...seemed to banter and not be enthused about Theo being her bodyguard.

Charlotte seemed more positive toward Theo in the previous timeline but it doesn't seem to have a crush on him unlike how she responds to Elle.

What I find most fascinating is in our timeline he semi threatened Charlotte to get assigned to Elle and she understandably doesn't have a good view of Theo...seeing him as a brute...but we also see Charlotte is clearly jealous and hostile toward Theo who doesn't hide his interest in Elle...but what's fascinating is Theo will make jabs at Charlotte inregards to Elle...which Charlotte had picked as as Theo judging or testing her love for Elle which frusterates her.

THEO isn't wrong to do this as he knows Charlotte didn't care about Elle in the previous timeline and had been one of the people to put Elle on the route of getting her head chopped off...whoch gets really interesting to think about since THIS Charlotte hasn't done anything wrong...so did she get tricked somehow where she sincerely thought she saw what she saw....or was she malicious and trying to take Elle down?

it gets even more interesting because Charlotte does genuine feel possesive of Elle to the point when Theo implied a mark on his neck was from Elle, she slapped Theo for thinking he could touch 'her pure' Elle...even though if that scenerio WAS true it would actually mean Elle likes him back and deemed him worthy herself. And that Charlotte was disregarding Elle's choice.

It raising certain thoughts. Was Charlotte as possesive of Theo in that past timeline like she was with Elle in this one?

it means Theo who was in the position Elle is now has been worthy of her the whole time even if no one knows that in this timeline and it's ironic people judge him in this timeline who praised him so much in the past. And its fascinating because he has a mutual love both in that previous timeline and a developing one in thepresent with Elle, unlike Charlotte who thinks she is so devoted but who Theo does have more right to judge due to the previous timeline...and that Charlotte gas been worried what Theo has planned for Elle...when he has been the one with the most pure motive to protect her.

There seems to be some parallel in how Charlotte and Theo admires Elle and her sincerity and strength when both of their families aren't the best...but Theo's motives are stronger.

And it gets even more interesting because Charlotte has a mad dog herself who was a servant she picked up off the street when she was a child who Clearly is in love with Charlotte. We see in this timeline her white haired servant is DEFINITLY jealous of Charlotte's crush and slight obsession with Elle so there IS a chance he is meddling to bring Elle down out of jealousy in this timeline(since Theo suspects him, and he seemed to be possibly involved with the horse incident where in the first timeline her horse was drugged and it caused her injury in a tournament).

Not to mention motives will have changed over timelines...though it seems Charlotte's servant is involved with setting up one of Elle's friends with human trafficing by telling her it was spices...as he has this mask he is connected to. And we have discovered he was most likly either rapes by her father(it's unclear as Charlotte remembers finding him coming out of her father's room and if her guilt comes from trying to ignore the signs something was wrong...which could be hinted at her father being a pedo) or it was her dad recruiting her servant to get trained into doing dirty work like killing...and later Charlotte seems to have a realization and trys to stall him from going by throwing herself in the lake...and her younger brother seemed to have called him a monster after seeing him kill people).

So now it raises did her servant have anything with taking down Elle since he has a motive in this timeline...but maybe it was Charlotte's Das who ordered it...but it also raises why was she targeted in the original timeline?

Not to mention things HAVE changed between the timeliness which doesn't sooth Theo who doesn't have all the details on how things got that bad from the first timeline let alone in this changed timeline.

He was able to save her from being used as a scapegoat by using his mad dog reputation to just go in and take her away...and ge saved her by switching horses with her so she wouldn't be thrown off abd injured...she DID get accuses again like she was in the original timelibe it seems but Theo used himself to take her place by confessing he did it instead or at least make sure it's clear if they are going to pin treason on her tgey can't since he is a better fit for what they are trying to use.

Her friend got stabbed by the dude in a mask...implied to be Charlotte's servant where she passed out and can't testify that neither Theo or Elle stabbed her. We also have another mystery as on of the orinal victims 'Lauren' is still alive but seems to erreily look like one of the knights who seems to need to keep a 'low' profile for safty reasons.

We also have hints the queen might have had a different baby before Charlotte and pippin and youngest boy as we see her concert remembers when he went to meet her the first time she was pregnant which seems to have been part of why they have a rough patch(outside of how he was isolated and struggled to find with outside of being her love interest since he was engaged to her from a young age).

Just....so many thoughts. I love Theo who clearly adores Elle even if I don't know how he has memories from the previous timeline and how far he is willing to go for her because if how far she went for him....

At the very least he kept her from going to jail and getting caught up in a conspiracy like last time...but this seems to be a slightly different conspiracy than before....

I'm susptious of Charlotte...but especially her servant since she had wanted Theo gone...but she seems to have realized how important Theo is to Elle from how despondent Elle is for Theo taking the fall.

Motive wise it seems the queen doesn't like her much...but there is some royal involved with human trafficing...we also have to wonder if tge motive is to make Pippin look bad since she'll be the future queen in charge...but I have to wonder why Charlotte I'd treated do poorly in her family as well.

Did Charlotte throw Elle under the bus to protect her servant in the first timeline? But then who is Lauren? Did Laueen really die in the first timeline or was that involved with the secondary redheaded aide who has a sort of romance withe the light blue haired knight who hangs with Elle?

The mystery is fascinating...especially with tge implications of the first timeline...like Elle's brother in our timeline...how did he respond in the first timeline to her death?

Dicky is a phenomenal actor I can’t express to you how much passion he puts into this performance. He moves with so much extra energy I forget that’s a man and not a monkey.

This is my favorite Wujing so far. The man is a literal cannibal and I would die for him because of how sincere he is. He is trying his goddamn best and he may cry at any little thing but he just cares so much.

They even made Bajie like the most fuckboy I’ve seen yet and also like the BEST as well?! Like he got sentenced to 1000 lifetimes of heartbreaks and yeah he is a fuckboy and totally goes overboard but also he is an actual good husband when he was one and actually shows to have character growth and make up for his mistakes and BE A BETTER MAN

Also this Tripitaka is hell good too! Like he is actually a real genuine guy who tries to see the best in people and yeah while a little naive his heart is always in the right place and he is actually so fucking funny. He genuinely wants to see the good in people and demons alike, sparing demons to give them a second chance as well. He cares for his disciples and tries to get them to think about their lessons, not just say them. He’s actually pretty clever in this.

I cannot stress to you enough how much I love this series and I’m not even done After episode 18 when a certain thing happens that I’m pretty sure wasn’t in JTTW but it makes the boys SO MUCH CLOSER AS BROTHERS. Like Bajie use to be insufferable with his shit talk but now he uses that shit talk against the enemy and it’s so fucking funny. It’s like 3 siblings that realize it’s them vs the world and they still mess with one another but you can FEEL the dynamics change the trust being built and how comfortable they are with one another by this point and it honestly feels EARNED. I don’t know if I can describe the dynamic as three Scrooge-est as I’ve never see the three scrooges but they dynamic is wonderful. Wukong as the leader to get them in a situation, Bajie as a septic but more than willing to endugle, Wujing has the hesitant youngest brother who doesn’t want to get in trouble but always tags along. And Triptaka trying to keep them from dying.

Prosciutto

The second father figure for Y/n, but if Risotto is more of a sugar daddy, indulging you with expensive gifts and foods, Prosciutto mostly acts like a real father would, scolding you for going outside at winter without your hat on (tho he never wears a hat himself) or for petting stray animals on the streets

Even despite all of his parental sternness, Prosciutto is really caring and attentive towards Y/n, even more that Risotto is. You got scratched accidentally because of your clumsiness? We gotta clean the wound up and patch it, don’t even try to protest; it may be a simple graze but what if some dirt got in it? Your shoulders ache after a long tiring day? Come hither, your dear Prosci will rub all the pain away

Least favorite rival: Risotto. Prosciutto doesn’t hate or despise albino, no. Risotto is a capo, and he got this status for several reasons, so blonde man still respects his boss, but both man have pretty familiar tactics of charming Y/n, and that definitely annoys Prosciutto

Formaggio

Formaggio is one of the most oblivious of all La Squadra men, he doesn’t realize that he’s not the only one having interest in Y/n and even when other guys flirt openly with Y/n in front of him red-haired just thinks that his teammates just try to be friendly towards a newcomer

He’s definitely that type of macho from all the cheesy movies - attractive, excellent smooth talker with constant flirtings. Formaggio is not opposed of using all possible cringy lines what annoy everyone in La Squadra, even Risotto has hard times restraining the urge to roll his eyes at all those shitty teasings. But Maggi is an easygoing guy, it’s so easy being around him and even all his pick up lines don’t repel you from him

Least favorite rival: doesn’t have one. As I said, this man doesn’t notice that other guys try to get Y/n to themselves, the thought of having possible rivals doesn’t even cross his mind

Illuso

It’s not a secret to anyone that Illuso is a little nasty bitch with a huge god complex and all his wooing is no better. “You wanna spend time with me? Shit, you’re such a pain in my ass! Okay, I guess I will indulge you this time, but that’s only because of your cute face” - doesn’t sound so appealing, does it? And that’s exactly the way brunette flirts with Y/n (well, at least he tries to)

Illuso wants to make you crawl to him, to make you crave for his presence and his touch, you make you fall in love hard. Brunette wears his best outfits, uses the best of his perfumes make up stuff just to show you that he’s better than all of his teammates. Surprisingly, even his behavior changes slightly when Y/n is around - he’s not that unbearably churlish towards you, on the good days he may even compliment you - “Your hair… looks good today, I like it”

Least favorite rival: he hates all of La Squadra equally. Illuso is certain that he’s the only one who truly deserves Y/n’s attention, he’s the best partner for you and only he can treat you properly. Doesn’t even try to hide his hostility towards teammates - why would you want spending time with such a trash?

Ghiaccio

Ghiaccio is a tsundere, do I even need to explain why? Is obvious to everyone in La Squadra that he’s head over heels for Y/n, but he still aggressively denies everything if someone points that out. He’s also very protective of you, if Formaggio or Melone or Sorbet try to flirt with you in front of Ghiaccio - they’ll get their nose bleeding soon (blue-haired gets scolded for that by Risotto often)

Blue-haired tries his best to hold all his outbursts in front of you. Even when you ask the stupidest questions, Ghiaccio would clench his fists til his knuckles turn white, grit his teeth, try doing breathing exercises - everything just to remain calm and not to get tantrum in front of you. And you guess that means really a lot

Least favorite rival: Sorbet and Gelato. Those guys (gays, lmao im sorry) don’t even try to hide their interest in Y/n, pinning for you, prying your attention only to themselves. They flirt so openly with you, some of their lines and allusions make even Melone feel slightly uncomfortable, so Ghiaccio sees those almost as if two husbands were shamelessly molesting Y/n

Melone

Melone knows that at times he may be a little bit… too much, so he turns it down for as much as he can so his “strange” tendencies won’t scare Y/n off. For the first few months purple-haired is nothing but sweet and caring, looking pretty normal, just like an average man that doesn’t think of breeding and all possible kinks every two minutes of his time

Even though, he acts like a gentleman with Y/n. Carrying heavy bags for you, giving you a hand when you get up, and if you’re studying medicine he’s up to help you if you have problems with understanding something. Melone had been studying for almost four years at medical uni but got kicked out for having sex with his cogrouper right in the uni. So he may be pretty helpful if you don’t get something or if you’re just interested in medicine

Least favorite rival: I can’t say that he cares much about other guys from La Squadra, but if he had to pick out one it’d be Illuso. It’s not about the way brunette tries to charm Y/n, purple-haired from every beginning didn’t like this guy. All of his conceit and arrogant behavior - it all just pisses Melone off

Pesci

Pesci is so so timid with Y/n, every time you walk by him, saying hi or just smiling at him, poor boy’s heart twists into tight knots. How are you so sweet? How are you so perfect?

Despite all your friendliness green-haired is still incredibly bashful, he is simply afraid of approaching Y/n. It doesn’t matter how much he likes you, Pesci just can’t force himself to try and initiate a chat. Sometimes Prosciutto helps him out with that a little (even though he doesn’t realize that he helps), but blonde is still careful with his actions, not letting even his precious Pesci get too close to Y/n

Least favorite rival: Formaggio. This guy is so noisy and vigorous, every time Pesci finally pulls himself together and finds the courage to approach Y/n this guy seems to appear from fucking nowhere, hogging your attention all to himself and leaving green-haired an angry blushing mess

Sorbet and Gelato

At the very beginning it feels more like you are Sorbet’s and Gelato’s child and they’re your parents fretting over you. They often take you with them on some trips, Gelato helps you with your school (if it’s something he knows about), Sorbet picks you up from work/school and drives you home etc

Sorbet is more of a tease, playing around with you, shamelessly flirting with Y/n, littering with not so pure compliments and comments. His touches are a little bit too long, his gazes are slightly too intense, even stupidest one would notice brunette’s longing for Y/n. Gelato is way less intense than his husband, blonde is way easier with his words, charming you with his sweet talking and constant doting. He’s more of a pillow that eases the expression Sorbet gives you

Sorbet’s least favorite rival: Risotto. Brunette hates how calm and well-composed Capo is, what if Y/n thinks that albino is cooler than he is? But Sorbet immediately makes a new plan in his head: if Risotto is more of a dad to Y/n, always doting on you and being so kind, Sorbet’s going to become your daddy, making you fall for him and Gelato, make you hungry for their attention

Gelato’s least favorite rival: blonde is pretty acknowledged that everyone in La Squadra tryies to get Y/n to themselves, he sees everyone (except Sorbet ofc) as his rival.
