Gideon always liked the way Kremy looked when he smoked, but like in an ironic way, of course. Noticed how the burning embers perfectly reflecting in his golden eyes, Gideon Nathaniel Coal, was never a man of flowery poetry… but for Kremy, his buddy ol’ pal, he can’t help but think he’s as beautiful as a sunset in autumn.

They're still a bit young for their personalities to have fully settled but they are worming their way into my heart. Juniper will climb into your arms the instant you emerge in the morning, she will grab your face and kiss you again and again and again and promise to love you for always, and Jasper will do the same except he also snuffles at your ears and nibbles them and tries to burrow into your elbow or your neck the way he would burrow into his mom's tummy.

They don't understand yet that human noises mean things, that they have names. That sort of communication isn't something they were asked to do so they will need to learn. But they were raised lovingly so they understand kind hands, and hugs and kisses, and being held forever and forever and forever. They understand eye contact means yes hello. They purr their little love songs and they sleep so hard and they play until they just fall down and they do everything together, absolutely everything.

I have missed having babies, and I have missed our poor dear boys, so it is good to have two incredibly cuddly little ones to give us their love.
