was thinking abt how my ideal doctor/yaz is when they love each other only sliiiightly more than they hate themselves, but then i was like, you know what might be better actually? if they dont love each other at all

i mean think about it. it's easy. they cant. they havent, like, build a life together. they never had to. love is a promise they didnt make

what passes for romantic feelings for companions in the doctor i think generally is idolisation. yaz has definitely been idolising. depending on your take the doctor might also have been the object of her first queer feelings ever. shes unattainable in like every way for yaz. theres no future to imagine here. there never was. i dont think either of them ever assumed there would be either. theyve had their eyes on the finish line since the beginning

so imagine a reunion. yaz and 14. every barrier now lifted. the doctor no longer lives a life of running from one place to the next; no more being with the doctor means neglecting home. hes suddenly emotionally available too. and they both know,,,Everything. they both know everything theyve never talked about. they reach the finish line and crash over it, into each other, no one had plans for this. a mess

so time to build, right? this is everything they wanted, right? except, is it? they only know each other in extremis. two adrenaline junkies in shared search of a fix. two people unable to stop running, forcibly grounded. yaz has five years of unspoken grievances to air. the doctor about five thousand of unspeakable memories. this is two peas in a powder keg

the doctor attaches in extremes, with abandon, yaz only cautiously, with reservation. neither of them know how to do friendship very well. theyve spent years afraid of losing each other, do you think theyre gonna be able to tolerate being apart now? even if being around each other is pressing every wrong button like a novice pilot or one who never read the manual, and inevitably leads to arguments they both know are years out of date but cant stop themselves from having anyway?

their coping mechanisms might have been malformed but now theyre taken away. dont you think theyre gonna come up with something to replace picking fights with daleks? we've got ptsd à deux and nowhere to go. if they cant be helpful at least they can keep busy. picking fights with each other. having sex with each other, because hey we got this newfound queer sexuality we should try it out, right? none of this is quite right but we're not gonna stop to think now, are we? 

should we talk about the gender thing? oh but youre a timelord, billions of years beyond this petty human obsession. but, youre not. so why not obsess a little. rather this than the other stuff. and yaz likes you as a woman. and rose gets all this trans stuff. keep weaving them in because if you stop they might just fall out. of your orbit, the world, the universe, the story. you'll never see them again and you'll be all alone. again. better keep tying knots

how long until they realise this is worse than it was? how long before they can admit it to themselves? how many people to suggest, to one or the other, that hey maybe you guys should spend some time apart? go on vacation, find a hobby, get a job, talk to other people, give yourself a break. how many people to get snapped and yelled at because what do they know? what does anyone know? nobody does, nobody gets it. ryan and graham left, dan came in too late. nobody else lived their days. nobody could possibly understand whats between them. including them

it's yaz who tries breaking up, of course. takes too long to get there, but she would get there. eventually. the doctor gets mean, all "glad to be home?", all tooth and nail and you cant leave me i leave you, all scoffs and snarls, "we're not together, yaz"

but if people stop watching doctor who kills himself. the doctor doesnt say this, of course. but yaz is very proficient in all the ways the doctor does not say things

she doesnt clarify who. doesnt need to. the game of chicken never ended, only changed shape. who falls first, who realises first, who admits first, who stays alive longest after the universe ends. and now, perhaps, whos gonna reach for desperate measures first

LUFFY; He thinks that you are the ABSOLUTE coolest person alive, like what??? you have water powers?!!!??? Luffy is so pumped and will ask to see you do little tricks ALL the time, but it's okay because he's cute. When he sees you use your water powers for the first time he's like "WOAH WHAT WAS THAT AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU COULD DO THAT??!!!!!!" If you kick Luffy's ass using your water powers he's 10x as impressed, but when he sees you kick somebody's ass using it he's in the background like "WOOOOOOOO!!!!! THATS MY PARTNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

You and the crew are in the midst of kicking this pirate and his crew's ass. Now you guys are kinda getting you're asses kicked so you choose now to use your water powers. A wave of water picks up one of the pirates by his ankle and spins him around before throwing him into the oblivion. While you go to help Nami, Luffy is stood with his jaw practically on the floor. He continues to watch you as you form a water-y fist to punch a pirate guy off of Nami. He's even more shocked now, his eyes bulging out of his skull. After the fight is over, Luffy approaches you about the topic. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Luffy says, a little bit more hurt then he intended. "Tell you what?" You ask, confused and concerned. "THAT YOU WATER POWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "Oh, yeah, I don't know I just- I guess I didn't want you to really look at me differently or anything" "Of course I still see you as my cute partner that I had seen you as before I knew, but now you're my cute and cool partner" You place a hand on your chest, pretending to be hurt but he gives you a sweet smile and you drop your arm and hold it out to give him a hug. "Soooooo, are you gonna show me some cool water tricks you can do?" "If you'd like" You smile, pushing your fingers through his hair.

ZORO; He thinks it's really cool, but will refuse to admit it to your face. Secretly, he fangirls about how cool you are. Then, he gets to thinking and realizes what an awesome power couple you two make. Greatest swordsman in the world and a water master. Name a more iconic duo. When he first notices you using your water powers he's like "Woah..what the hell that was pretty cool". If you kick Zoro's ass he may be sour for a good 30 minutes or so, but deep down he thinks that it was kind of hot that you did. At first he's afraid to tell you this info because he is still same old Zoro who has a hard time opening up, but when he does he has never been more glad. You take that info and run with it, aka you ask Zoro to help you "train" or just challenge him randomly just to kick his ass. If he thought getting his ass kicked was hot wait until he watches you kick someone else's ass.

You had asked Zoro to help you train, in which he gladly agreed. He was fully ready to hand your own ass to you, that was until a random wave of water washes over him making him lose his footing and fall to the floor. You stand over him with one foot on his chest to keep him down. He let's out a scoff before pushing your foot off of him and stomping away. Part of you felt bad, but you knew that he would get over it and he was just being a sore loser at the moment. And you were right, by the time dinner had rolled around he was way less pouty than before. As everyone sat around the table, Zoro scooted in closer than usual to you. He placed his hand on your thigh, confused at the gesture but too hungry to really care, you leave it alone. That's until towards the end of dinner, Zoro's hand starts to form little circles that turn into big circles against your thigh that make you instinctively squirm. As his hand gets closer...and closer....and- You stand up leaving the dinner table quickly, making everyone stare at you and then Zoro. Zoro shrugged as if he hadn't done anything, "What's their problem?" After Zoro finishes his dinner, he finds you in his cabin were you are intensely staring at your balled up hands. He makes a noise to alert you of his presence and that's when your head whips up to stare at him. "Why'd you do that?" You ask. He leans over and whispers in your ear, "It's kind of hot when you kick my ass" You blush a little bit, but let out a little giggle at Zoro's oddness. One in which he doesn't appreciate.

NAMI; She thinks it is so badass. Her partner has water powers?Fucking awesome!! When she first sees you using said powers she's so amazed and wants to know everything about it. How it works, what you can and can't do, how you obtained such powers. Those such things. If and when you kick Nami's ass with your water powers she'll except defeat and tell you how cool and awesome she thinks it is. Similarly to Zoro, Nami also finds it quite attractive to watch you kick ass and protect her.

As much as you hated to admit it, Nami was currently getting her ass handed to her. Not wanting to see anymore of your partner getting hurt, you form a small tsunami to wash out the person currently causing harm to your lover. Confused where the hell a small tsunami came from, Nami looks in your direction as you continue to form mini tsunami's to take out the several bad guys you were fighting off. She stares at you in utter awe and amazement. Not only did you just protect her from getting her ass whooped but you also looked pretty damn good doing so. Later Nami would approach you about it. "So." "So?" You look at her confused. "When were you planning on telling me you have water powers, huh?" "Oh,I- I don't know...I wanted to tell you but I didn't think you'd believe me" "Of course I would believe you, I...I love you" "AWWWWWWWW NAMI I LOVE YOU TOO" "Okay, now don't make it weird" Anyways, from this day on Nami will ask you to use your powers to help her with tasks. Nami loves the help and you love being Nami's company, it's a win-win.

SANJI; OMG OMG OMG!!!!! He is so so super excited!! Like, that's so cool to him. To be fair he thinks anything about you is fascinating but this especially. He's your #1 fan and will fight anyone who judges you over the power. Sanji is forever a lover. ANYWAYS, when he sees you using your powers for the first time he is just so awestruck and head over heels for you. Anything (and I mean, anything) you do is so special to him. He makes it his mission to learn about these powers. When you kick Sanji's ass, which he let's you do even without your water powers, he is the happiest man in the East Blue. I'm a firm believer that Sanji likes to be topped but that's besides the point. When he watches you kick someone else's ass he is very proud even though he wishes he could protect you more often than he can.

You just told Sanji one day, like you were bored so were like- "Hey Sanji?" "Yes, Darling?" "I have water powers" He drops the pot of water he was just carrying and stares at you. Now you kinda feel bad so you use your water powers to clean up the mess and Sanji just watches with the biggest eyes. After he's out of his shocked state he grabs your face and holds it close to his which evidently makes the hue in your face turn a bright pink. "That." Kiss. "Is the." Kiss. "Cutest" Kiss. "Thing." Kiss. "Ever." Kiss. At this point you're a bit overwhelmed (in a good way) by Sanji's kisses, but get a hold of yourself. "Does that mean I can help in the kitchen more?" "Only if you don't burn it down" He laughs at your eagerness to be with him more.

USOPP; Much like Luffy, he is so excited and wants to see you do all kinds of tricks and thinks it is the most hilarious thing when you pull water pranks on him with your powers. Usopp is kind of used to getting his ass kicked so it doesn't bother him too much, now for kicking others asses, that's a different story. Usopp is constantly having to be brave and I think he would truly appreciate if he was the one being protected, of course he'll protect you if you need it, he just prefers what he prefers.

You and the straw hat crew were currently being attacked by other pirates and as you witnessed Usopp running around scared for his life, you felt a pang in your heart. Without a second thought you used your water powers to whisk away Usopp from danger and instead right by your side where you knew he'd be safe.

At first he's freaking out cause why is he being lifted into the air by a wave of water. Then, once he realizes it is your doing he calms down before freaking out again.

"OH MY GOD HOW DID YOU DO THAT? YOU HAVE POWERS? WATER ONES AT THAT??? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME"

You had to settle him down before telling him that you just didn't want to make things weird. He told you that he didn't think it was weird at which then led to him telling you how much he likes being saved by you. You use this knowledge to your advantage and takes every oppurtunity to save and protect Usopp which always ends with him going on and on about it with Nami and Zoro who then complain to you about it later (I didn't add Luffy into the mix because he wouldn't complain, he'd just be like "that's very cool of you.").

But it’s always a lot slower, clumsier, and messier than your regular sex. There's a lot of laughing and getting distracted but it’s always a great time for the both of you.

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Naturally, a more muscular build because she’s always been very active, and of course body hair + all of her scars. She has both burn scars that have faded quite a bit over time but she’s also got more scars like the ones on her face littered all over. She only says they’re from a dog attack when she was a teenager and nothing more and you don’t question it, though you know it's probably a lie. She finds comfort in the way you’ll run your fingers over her scars though. It reminds her that though the way she earned them might not have been very traditional, they’re still a part of her and her story like every scar is for every person. 

Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)

Not that high. Sex isn’t a requirement for her honestly and it's not something she needs regularly but more like something she enjoys.

Soooooo, that an heavy one. Today I'm talking about a game that was quite a strange experience, Do not take this cat home. It's an horror visual novel created by Pixeliminal in 2023, it starts with a very simple premice : you (yes, you the player) is walking home on a rainy day, and you find a cute cat in a dark alley. Poor little thing is alone in a cardboard. After this, you have the choice to take it home... Or not.

I'm not making a classic review with the qualities and the flaws, but more of an essay in fact. This is the type of game that feel more like a unique experiment more than actual gameplay when you turn your brain off and just enjoy. This post is spoiler-free, but the next won't be. If you want to read the second part anyway, I invite you to play or watch the game before.

The graphics seems to be hand-made, it gives a unique look and atmosphere to the game. It's a simple style, cute and looking absolutely innocent. Like the cat is veeeery cute and I personnally want to hug and play with for days. It's a personal opinion but I rather so much 2D games over 3D realist games. The game can't really be dated and that's what it's so charming. It's unique and won't burn your eyes after a few years :3

I don't have much to say about it. It's a visual novel, you just have to click dialogue options. You have different choices of dialogue or actions and it'll have a direct impact on the ending you'll get. Just a quick surprise at the last ending, your choices are timed.

Dialogues aren't dubbed and the soundtrack is not that remarkable, but it's not bad to listen. In fact, the music perfectly blended with the atmosphere, I mostly keep impressions of cute musics mixed with creepy melodies which stressed me a bit.

Like said above, the game's subjects are a bit tough to handle depending of your past experiences, your fears or your triggers. The horror is there, mostly psychological or body horror. Some endings gave me the itches because of that.

Detailed and spoiler-free opinion : Do not take this cat home is an entertaining game at first, but the first impression of cuteness quickly gives his place to an eerie atmosphere. Strange events were happening to the MC and I was mixed between affection for the cat and curiosity for what were happening to our character. Then let's just say my opinion on my new fluffy friend changed after a few runs. If you're looking for an new whole horror experience, without jumpscares, the game may be for you. I find it excellent and it's definitely a 'must play' in the genre of horror free games.

her mother? poor, modest, v excited to have a daughter. her f*ther? HWAKTHU. fluctuating between rich and poor, gambling his life away, alw fucking around, messing w the wrong people, scamming!

scammer on scammer hate crime ensues when a dubious low budget genie irl tells sera's dad "give me all the $$$ u have. but dw dw! i can grant u a wish... such as.... i'll give ur newborn daughter the power of Luck." and he leaves out the part that Luck is bad n good.

and what does her dad do? he listens!!! a born, living, lucky charm? sign him tf up!!!! he waits for sera to be born, tells her mom that he has to leave n he will take sera (so he doesnt have to share the lucky charm yknow), the mom tries to fight for the daughter but... ope... person w money vs person w no money.... yea... head low.

sooooo, she spends her childhood pretty happy. daddy's girl n all! w an ability that she believes to be some form of Good Luck Manip. she sees her dad as the best man in the world and he. loves. it. why? bc it makes her ability v powerful and he keeps on winning, buying expensive things, not being caught etc etc... just living the best life off of sera... but ofc. nothing lasts forever.

sera enters her teenage years and hell breaks loose. she accidentally learns that her mother didnt abandon them (as per her dad's fake sob story), she figures out that her dad is no Fair businessman and it alllll comes crumbling down.

so young and so shaken up with new, different emotions, she quickly learns that she can manifest bad luck as well. luckily(?) for her dad, she was still in denial so the bad luck wasnt strong enough to k*ll him off.... but it did take away all of his riches which cld count as murder in his books. long story short, he becomes a Monster, trashes her things, kicks her out, leaves her out in the street w nothing.

i'll try to make this part rlly brief bc i want her Trauma to be traumaing but i also dont want to get into graphic deets!! couch surfing at a friend. friend dies. parents hate her. sera starts searching for her mom, someone tells her that she's dead. ope... sera tries to end it all bc of that by drowning. randomly gets saved. ends up living w this cute ol lil lady, a retired nurse, who feels like a grandma figure for sera... baow. accidental bad luck manifestation makes them get into an accident, guess who survives thru survival luck and who doesnt. yea....

so ... you may be thinking ... now what. WELL. she hears abt sua ... abt the Patch (one that she cldnt afford/get her hands onto) so she decides well. im sick of being the bad guy (accidentally) all the time, im sick of spiraling, im sick of my ability fluctuating. let me become a nurse and help out! maybe i'll finally get to use my power for proper good this time....

soooooo she tries to cheer up during her uni years. she gets more control over her ability but theres still lots to learn! her emotions still affect her deeply but its no longer THAAAAAAAAT bad.

her goals? become a v v v good nurse. gain complete control over her ability and use it w her job. help ppl w her power. find her mom. and... devious smile..... find her dad to k*ll him w the bad luck.

ㅤㅤㅤ 𖹭 ㅤㅤㅤ ability .

luck manip!!! she can give u good luck or bad luck!!! her eyes turn green when it's good luck & black when it's bad luck! she can touch u, look at u, think of u, it works either way! ofc, she can do more w a touch than w a thought!

she can make you get the luck you need to find your keys or to win the lottery! she can make you spill ur coffee all over ur new clothes or get u vvv sick! anything goes! if it's a casual ez kind of luck (keys, coffee), then she'll need a few moments to regain her energy. if its smth more extreme (lottery, sickness), she needs a few days (even up to a week), to recover!!! the more complex it is, the more it drains her energy!

it's all within d laws of physics & limits of 'reality' ! so she cant get you to magically materialize ur lost keys back and she cant spill invisible coffee on u! ALSO!!! this ability only works in like... idk.... a 100-200 miles radius!

her Survival Luck is also present n exists and she can (and has alrdy) managed to survive a bunch of extreme situations (see above)! however, the Way that she survives it.... out of her control fr.... cld be a scratch, cld be 5 broken bones, not up to sera!

she's v chill and looooooves helping people!!! not super hyper BUT still a fun girl nonetheless! not boring by any means despite being v toned down and lowkey!

DESPITE the previous bullet point, she is extremely afraid of getting attached to people and LET ALOOOOONE love them so she tries to keep everyone at arms length. why? obv bc of her ability and her fear of not being able to control it properly... she doesnt want another friend + grandma incident.

has a tendency to become mellow / nostalgic and can be caught overthinking... which she tries to do while on that nullivi .... ofc! LDFDFGJJ

(Thoughts) Rupert - “Transactional” bonds

I just love how consistent Rupert’s characterization is. The slight manhwa change in Ch 111 bothered me (?) - not because it was bad, but because it highlighted Rupert’s current mindset on his relationship with Lari and how he thinks of ANY relationship with anyone is a transaction - if you want something, you have to give something in return that the other person wants.

This reflects his consistent characterization:

A master of alchemy, where the principle of the discipline is “equivalent exchange” - to use it, he must use a part of his life/blood for maximum strength and efficiency of a technique

He cared for his mother very much, and endured her abuse because studying hard and doing well, learning alchemy, ingesting poisons made her happy. He suffered all that and dealt with it, because he liked to see her “happy”, or at least satisfied/pleased, even if he knew she didn’t love him at all.

He wanted the position of emperor, so he did whatever the crazy Emperor wanted and more just so he could earn that position with his hard work and diligence.

He only trusts Tori because it’s ingrained in her the [order] to listen and serve him. Eva created her as a tool, and that’s it. He gives her orders, she fulfills them

He pays Louis a high salary for his loyalty and service.

He helps out Fassbender, in order to help obtain control over the merchant groups.

That’s his character: Rupert’s interactions with everyone around him involves some sort of give and take transaction. That’s all that he knows.

It’s stated over and over in the series that Rupert feels lacking in the sense he’s never known affection his whole life: He’s never received it from anyone, so he’s incredibly awkward when he tries to fulfill Lari’s request of being someone he cherishes.

But the thing is, just like any other emotion, “affection” comes naturally to him when he’s around Lari. For him, it naturally manifests as wanting to see her happy, healthy and safe. He wants to be with her all the time, so his only wish is that she stay by his side, and doesn’t expect anything from her. She just has to stay where she has been, as she has done over the years. He just wants to keep their current, comfortable every day life at the palace. But of course, he’s very anxious about that: if all he knows is a give-and-take relationship. What happens when Lari doesn’t want anything from him? He’s stuck. He feels he has nothing tangible to offer her. He tries to encourage her to think of something, ANYTHING she wants from him, to reassure him that she’ll stay. Rupert has absolutely no concept of the possibility of a selfless love, where a person can choose to be with someone just because they want to. He doesn’t even realize that that’s what he’s feeling towards Lari as well: he just wants to be beside her, he doesnt want anything from her. He doesn’t expect any special feelings from her either. As bad as it sounds, Rupert is ‘correct’ when he says that [He wants Lari]. It sounds so negative, so possessive and obsessive… but when you think about it, it’s because again, that’s all he knows because that’s what he’d experience with Crazy Emperor.

All he knows is that Crazy Emperor was obsessed with Eva, and wanted her so badly he ruined her. Rupert doesn’t realize that his own desire for Lari is different, because as horny as he is for her, he values Lari’s happiness above all. Yes, he has moments where he wants to grab her and kiss her and be intimate, and has a burning desire to touch her —- but he resists it every time, because he knows Lari won’t consent to it and will hate him if he goes out of bounds. That detail is soooooo important, because it makes him leaps and bounds different from the crazy Emperor. Rupert cannot become him, as he truly loves Lari and cannot hurt her in any way, because he cares for her to the extent where if she’s hurt, he feels hurt too, and if she’s sick and dying, he feels miserable as if he’s the one hurt too. That’s the lesson that Rupert learns during the separation: of what he truly wants from Lari, and what he wants from her too.

That’s what makes manhwa chapter 111 so powerful to me, is because Rupert doesn't recognize the extent of his feelings. He almost lost Lari to the fire, and he’s about to lose her (seemingly) forever again. He’s so desperate, begging her to tell him what she wants, he will give it to her. If she hates him she can hit him, if she wants everything he’ll give it all to her. This is so powerful, in that he’s now the Emperor, he has everything, he’s at the top of it all - but in one moment, he’s literally on his knees, begging her to reconsider her decision and offering EVERYTHING he has - his life, and his life’s work. It’s just so messy, desperate, pathetic even that he has to grovel like that. He stood strong towards everything, but now he’s just a weak, pitiful, kid begging a powerless girl not to leave.

But again, Rupert’s current relationship with Lari is just so vague and uncertain. Whatever their fragile bond was, couldn’t last and inevitably would break off (in this case, super dramatically). It’s also so powerful to see Lari be upset at Rupert’s desperation: she still doesn’t want anything from him, She doesn’t WANT to see him grovel and beg her for anything. She doesn’t want a relationship like that, where it’s something give or take. So she’s firm and says no, and leaves. And of course, Rupert loves her too much, so he allows it even if he doesn’t want to. Because he can’t bear it to be the reason if she’s sad and crying all day. He will never force or trap her in any way for her to choose death again.

Unfortunately, while a lot of his current thinking is from his experience, another part is an emotional block from Eva: she had told him that as long as he’s alive, no one will love him. After all, he’s an unwanted bastard child, whose mother didn’t love him either. He’s a fake, how could ANYONE love him? So he internalized that for years, and had no expectation that ANYONE, even Lari, would even see him positively like that. So he chose to just be nice to her, cherish her the best he could because she requested it, and also because he wanted to be nice to her and treat her well. The moment we find out Rupert’s lightbulb moment during the separation where he FINALLY, finally realizes that he should try to earn Lari’s affections and have her like him back…. Is such an awkward, “wow you are such a loser/dork Rupe…” moment because it’s just THAT obvious. IN his 19 years of life, Rupert NEVER considered the possibility that Lari could fall in love with him, he didn’t make particular efforts to woo her, didn’t think of a romantic relationship with her until after she left. It literally took him FOREVER to figure out such a simple thing (its ok rupe, I love how dorky you are, ur a learning boi ^^)

But yes, I find the moment where Rupert learns that not all love is a transatctional give -or-take, but rather romantic love exists, especially a selfless one where two people mutually care for each other and doens’t want anything from the other (except to be together) is a thing. Because it’s so rewarding to see Rupelali as a couple later: Lari chooses to be with him because of love; she doesn’t want anything from him, except to be with him and support him as always. Same with Rupert - he only wants to be with her, doesn’t expect anything from her, but also gives her the greatest possible gift: he allows her to continue living life how she wants = her freedom, independence, and maybe continue to include him in “her world”. :)

Score so far is 5-2 in favour of the navi because I count ties as a point for both, and I feel like that gap’s gonna get larger

First, MetalMan and MetalMan.exe

God these designs fuck (affectionate)

Not a big fan of the yellow on the robot master, and I enjoy the addition of gears and the mechanical fists to make .EXE more metal themed rather than just buzzsaw themed

Point for MetalMan.exe, raising the score to 6-2

Next, AirMan and AirMan.EXE

Ehhhh, they’re both...alright? Kinda dumpy in different ways

Not sure I like the addition of green to the Navi design, but do like its slightly more threatening fan

But there’s just something truly iconic about the classic design, even if I didn’t grow up with it. I also prefer the overal bulkiness compare to the inexplicably lanky thighs of .EXE...

It’s a tie, 7-3.

Okay, next up is...next up are the Bubblemen

...it’s a race to rock bottom, folks. Another victim of the random chibi-fication but instead of ruining a solid design it’s just another version of a really ugly look

Why the cheek marks and the fat lips? But then again why give a robot a diving mask? Why make a water robot green?

I’m half tempted to remove a point from BOTH games’ score but instead I’m awarding both games a point as compensation for having to look at these two.

Thankfully the next up are a nice change of pace, pun semi-intended, QuickMan and QuickMan.EXE

Both are really solid designs, but even putting my personal navi bias aside I do like that .EXE looks like something that can move fast. And all the sharp edges make the idea of simply getting in his way a fatal choice.

9-4, but it was REALLY close this time.

Skipping over CrashMan since I guess they didn’t want to think about how overpowered a program with CRASH in it’s name would be to fight, we move on to FLASH, AH AAAAAAA~

...this batch (with one notable exception) so far has really been the ‘close to the original’ round, huh?

Ironically given the name, I like the mostly darker colour scheme for .EXE, since it makes the actual flashing parts POP a bit more.

10-4 and that’s mainly because the pauldrons on the robot master being light blue annoys me for some reason, otherwise it’d’ve been a tie.

Next up is a dumpy guy dressed as a lighter and a screaming Hellbeast that looks like a lighter that uses child blood as lighter fuel

The best glow up in this batch and the best navi partner of Mr Match...oh do I have a burning desire to tear into the last one of his fire trio but I’ll wait until the 6th round.

Even if I didn’t have a bias, I just love the jack’o lantern look to .EXE’s face. They really went hard in on the fact that Navi don’t HAVE to look humanoids and I love it.

And last we have...Oh, nice, WoodMan

The only Robot master who isn’t mostly red or blue in this batch so my eyes are happy. the yellow accents are weird but do help pop against his otherwise dull tone-mm? Oh, how rude of me, I forgot to get a picture of your decendent, WoodMan.EXEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYIKES!

....HE LOOKS CONSTIPATED!

I mean I guess they were going more for the wooden golem look but...why give him big meaty lips? Why does his arms look more robotic than the actual robot master? On MetalMan.EXE that makes sense since mechanical bu-WHY DOES HE HAVE A FUEL GAUGE?!

...I’m dissapointed Battle Network. At least you made his operator an absolute cutie.

Preferably atop a train racing through a perilous mountain range, during a ferocious thunderstorm, or at night as they pass through some cenic city full of lights.

Striding out with his Dramatic ass, silly looking, cloak. Which SHOULD be hilarious but somehow looks all Powerful and Cool. Traditional clothing, that hug his body in an open shirted and VERY favorable way. Almost aggressively masculine with all those masterfully honed muscles, perfectly complementary cologne, and darkly refined yet old-fashioned style.

Stance effortly balanced and instinctive.

Head tilted up at a regal and commanding angle.

He looks like a sexy warlord, straight from some work of high fiction. And he's being handed a sword. A NICE, master's work, well used but carefully maintained, LIVE BLADE. Oh.... Oh No.

He wants to fight?

But Danny's body isn't ready! His hair is a mess and he's been traveling all day! *flustered sputtering in Ghost* nuuuuuu~ ( TT-TT) why does Danny keep meeting Hot People only when he looks LIKE GARBAGE?!

Ra's is giving off "VERY Bad Boy Who Wants To DO THINGS To You" energy in this club tonight. Well, moderately small, countryside town at mid-day. But STILL! Danny was NOT PREPARED! Shocked, flustered, and maybe he's into this? He DOESNT KNOW?! Such aggressive SEDUCTION, SIR!

Did Ra's INTEND to send this Subtext? Not really. He came here to see the man delivering his highly trained underlings such humiliating defeat. But the youth does not back down. Does not grovel. Handles himself well.

It might be amusing, he thinks.

If it weren't for Pandora? Danny would be utterly CURB STOMPED. He's fought actual Concepts that hit less hard. The blade sings, the dance deadly, as it takes Danny everything he HAS to barely hold on.

His blood stains the blade.

Not much, but Ra's DOES get cuts in. However? It's enough for the sunlight to his those infinitesibly small bits of Ectoplasm in his blood, which makes up half of what he IS now, and light the droplets an almost iridescent green.

Green in a shade Ra's has WORSHIPPED for centuries.

Oh~?

The young man throws himself BACK and away. No where to flee, yet he is not trying too. Ra's allows it. Just to see what he will do. Then? Like blinding sunlight of the Pits surface, a rolling wave. Curtains parting to reveal the truth. A man made of Ice and Starlight. A magnificent Lazarus green light, like divinity shining from his skin. Eyes the color of the deepest waters of the Pits.

He becomes something MORE.

And no longer does Ra's hold the easy advantage. It? Is EXHILARATING. Each blow he blocks a fatale one, capable of caving in a lesser man's torso. The speed and boneless grace. His opponent free of gravities hold, as though floating the coldest waters, yet striking like meteors battering the Earth.

Ice, burning green light, and in the end?

A haunting swan song that rips apart all before it.

Ra's opponent escapes. More then half his men are critically wounded. He has broken ribs and more bruises then he's had in DECADES. He has? Not felt so ALIVE in over a century. Perhaps longer.

So obviously he tracks the man down again.

Repeatedly.

To his endless delight? Unlike CERTAIN people, the man flirts back. Fights brutally. They dance between death and passion, tearing up everything in their wake. The man seeming to be genuinely flattered and intrigued by Ra's interest. And really, Ra's is nothing if not a persuasive man.

They drink fine wines as they battle wits, they dine as they smirk and purr such DEADLY threats, there are such MAGNIFICENT battles at every local. He sends Danny, (not Daniel, never Daniel, unless he wishs too invoke disgust) gifts. Blades and treasures from beyond Earth's soil. Interesting information on places to visit or explore.

For Danny is free and unrestrained, wild in his nature.

For once it is RA'S who chases. He can not say it is unpleasant. Rather, it has become an exciting turn of events. But... once AGAIN? Those insipid and short sighted "Heros" meddle. While he had been careful to keep his passions from the eyes of the Detective and his ilk, he underestimated the rare intelligence of those costumed imbeciles closer to Nanda Prabat.

They confronted Danny.

Ran their ill informed and uneducated mouths.

Their physical weak spots

This is a fun one bc I don't think she's ever actually lost any hp during the campaign?? Clearly she's invulnerable to physical attack. JK i think physically her biggest weakness is her height, she's very short. For everything else she wears like 7 layers of clothing at all times so that she Cannot Be Harmed. We're talking armor, extra magic wolf armor, thick coat, magic cloak, second cloak on top of that, scarf, thick leather boots that go up to the knee, tricorn hat. Probably gloves as well. Just don't ask her to reach the top shelf.

11. Bad or petty habits

She will never ever give more information than is entirely necessary. She will answer exactly the question that was asked. She Will not elaborate. Part of this is information security that was drilled into her in training (information is power, anything you tell people Can and Will be used against you) and part of it is just that she's petty and enjoys knowing things that other people don't. (Also she Will not ask for help lmao)

12. Grudges and vendettas

Okay, so, after the party killed their first vampire, this other vampire showed up with a pile of money and an invitation to the big fancy vampire ball and a mission to kill this guy named Clemens Hlond bc he was just the worst and everybody hated him. So we went to the party and met a bunch of the vampire clans, including the "good" ones who hired us. And Nico holds a grudge against them! Even tho they were actually very nice to us and seem like chill people! Because she wants more than anything to make a difference, and that involves being seen as a threat to the local vampires, and she hates that they feel comfortable inviting her to their parties and using her like a pawn in their game.

20. What-ifs/Alternate Timelines

OKAY SO (bass-boosted) one of my favorite thought experiments/daydreams is to imagine the worst possible ending and what it would take for her to get there.

If you will recall the above, as a vampire hater and aspiring champion of the common man, she haaates working for/with the vampire clans. Her biggest drivers are her sense of duty and her pride. Soooooo... What if she ended up as the personal attack dog of a vampire? Collared and chained, dehumanized, sent off to kill at the whims of her master/employer. Used as nothing more than a tool by the powers she sought to destroy. IDK I just think it would be very fucked up and kind of hot

As for how she gets to that point... it has to be her own choice. Most likely scenario is offering herself as a trade to save the rest of the party/her friends if they were to be captured or something. Alternative answer is that she falls in love with someone who Does Not have her best interests at heart - I don't think she's ever been in love before, and if/when it happens it will be a nasty forest fire of obsession, devotion and codependency lmao

Rex has mastered the balance between friendliness and respectful distance when it comes to the Jedi. He has no problems becoming friends with them (at least the good ones), but he's careful to keep things simple, easygoing, just as the Jedi themselves do. That is, until one in particular sweeps him off his feet. They're like the other half of himself he didn't know was missing. They understand each other, enjoy each other's company. It takes a bit of time for them to dare express these feelings aloud, though it's hardly necessary since it's so obvious to everyone just how in love they are, how perfect they are together.

Cody and Wolffe would take a long, long time to fall in love with a Jedi. They are very devoted to their duties as soldiers, commanders, no less. And they are respectful of the beliefs of the Jedi they serve. A relationship outside of "work" would not cross their minds as a possibility until they'd been with that Jedi for quite some time. With each shared experience, whether on the battlefield or in a debriefing, life-or-death or peace-and-quiet, they develop a bond full of trust, respect, and care. It's only within the deepest, most private part of their hearts that they also call it love.

Jesse, Tup, and Crosshair would also follow more of a slow-burn path, but more so because they don't believe they are worthy of that Jedi's love. Whether it's a padawan or a general, they see that Jedi as being so good, so pure of heart, so deserving of a love that must come from someone just as good as they are, not from a scruffy, lowly, battle-hardened clone like them. The problem is that even with their self-doubt, they still can't help but yearn for them anyway. They're like a moth drawn to a lamp, unable to completely resist the lure of something so brilliantly beautiful.

Fox, Fives, and Hardcase are a bit more rebellious in their nature. It's not that they don't take the roles they all play seriously, but they're also dreamers... idealists... Don't they deserve love, too, clones and Jedi alike? Who's to say they can't find a way to be together, to make it work while still staying true to themselves? Especially if they're already working with the Jedi in some capacity, it'll be that much easier to fall for them. They will be forward and honest with their feelings, first in confessing to the Jedi, and then to a select, trusted few who can help them navigate the taboo relationship.

Kix and Dogma are content to pine from afar. They wouldn't ever want to get the Jedi in trouble, or make them have to choose. And so they find discreet ways to love their Jedi. Going above and beyond on missions to support them, lending an ear if they need to talk, giving little gifts or pep talks to cheer them up. It would be up to the Jedi, who undoubtedly senses the feelings behind the gestures, to either let them have their innocent crush, or address it and ask for something more. They may hesitate at first, but eventually can't help but agree to give it a try.

Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker don't have the same conflicts that some of the regs do. Having been set apart as different their whole lives, they don't have problems getting romantically involved with anyone, even with a Jedi. If they happened to meet a Jedi they found attractive and likable, and who gave indication they felt the same, they'd go for it. They'd still be respectful of any privacy or secrecy the Jedi asked for, and wouldn't push for any further intimacy if they were uncomfortable. Maybe they don't exactly have a long-term plan for the relationship, but their love for them in the present is no less genuine.

Echo doesn't give a shit (pardon the fruity language). But honestly, he's so tired, and even though there's still that part of him that likes things to be a certain way, that clings on to the shoulds and should-nots, he's also aware he's been given a second chance at life, and why should he waste it following tiresome rules? He doesn't just fall in love, he jumps in, knowing the exact risks and rewards that will come from it. With a Jedi, he is patient and steadfast and affectionate. He wants to provide for them, even if they can take care of themselves. They are his whole galaxy. (Pre-Citadel headcanon here)

megstiel: look, it’s gender swapped enemies-to-lovers where the girl is evil one getting soft and the guy is the good, pure hero going bad (okay, this is samruby a bit too…) how am I, a simple bisexual, not supposed to be into that. I love that meg was a whole fleshed out character with a story and history and motives of her own way before meeting castiel (unlike most female interests on this show #RIP) and that their relationship was basically all chemistry-based in the beginning because they had sooooooo much. and then s7 happened and she stayed with him under the pretense of it just being her main form of self-protection, but it’s clear they actually began to care about each other and wanted to keep the other safe. she actually looked out for him and defended him against the winchesters when he was already in a very vulnerable, self-hating period and I’m like “yes go off queen.”

sometimes I wish the rest of her arc hadn’t been just about them in the end but it’s okay because it was such a bittersweet, tragic ending and done well all considering. I also wish they had a lot more onscreen interaction while they could and it makes me insane how they never show cas grieving her, even for people who somehow only saw it as platonic (which HOW????) you can’t deny that was an important friendship for him at least y’know. but also consider: when he calls her thorny beauty <333

I used to be “I don’t actually ship it, because it’s #toxic” can you believe. now I’m very “I see it, I enjoy it” + your samruby endgame & t4t truthing definitely made me see the light and enjoy it more and see the true depth of it. so many people were involved in manipulating sam to make the apocalypse happen from the angels to azazel & lilith, but ruby never saw sam as just her part of the lucifer group project. she ALWAYS saw it as helping sam reach his true potential and stop being afraid of his powers and become the king of hell she knew he could be.

and she cares about him soooooo much. we don’t talk enough about how she’s the only reason he’s still alive. like, his revenge mission in-between s3 and s4 was becoming a suicide mission and she refused to let him isolate himself and work/drink himself to death. she protected him, stayed with him, and helped him get stronger & smarter instead. she's literally the only reason he’s still alive, the reason why he kept fighting and got confidence in himself.

also as basically the only m/f romance we get to see interact naturally and often onscreen because spn refuses to let women be main characters, their interactions in s4 make me sooooo. like yes there is the obvious inherent sexiness of blood drinking, that is a given. but they have multitudes! they’re SOFT around each other!! the way she encourages him and cheers him on as he masters his abilities <3 the way he smiles at her approval and support <3 <3 the way she jokes about him being a buff nerd <3 <3 <3

I think in canon the ending is definitely a tragic love story, with ruby truly believing they felt the same and were on the same page (which is still delicious tho.) but with how many pointless characters got added and brought back later on, there was sooo much they could’ve done with a ruby resurrection (not whatever that cameo in s15 was.) a redemption arc, her turning against lucifer, her mysterious past being explored, her and lilith being besties. a sam and ruby relationship post-apocalypse would've been so interesting. like it was the biggest betrayal of his life but also he owes her everything and truly never felt more powerful & confident in himself than when he was with her. also I think it’s insane that they almost never bring her up after s4. like that was the most important relationship of his life outside of jess and you’re just never going to bring that up. I cannot find the suncaptor post about it, but is that he feels like he can't grieve her?

last note: my controversial samruby opinion I guess is that I refuse to think ruby 1.0 & ruby 2.0 are different demons (RESPECT the long con) but do enjoy the ruby-is-jess headcanons when I’m feeling evil (jess and ruby both believed in sam and hated how his family treated him, coincidence? maybe, maybe not)

The typical idea of "dating" is not one he subscribes to. If he could, he would. But he cant.

He's incredibly busy, and would rather develop a bond with you over a mutual goal and learn who you are through that then to take you out to expensive places in hopes to woo you.

He'd keep you close, have you work by his side, while keeping you out of danger and out of the streets.

Any downtime he can find to spare during his "work" day he is willing to spend in his office with you.

And that can mean anything you want it to.

If you do get the chance to do anything that would be defined as a date, its somewhere private. Such as his own home.

He doesn't like crowded places, or being in public much at all. As well as his home being safer then some high rated restaurant.

For someone not human, he is an amazing cook.

I've mentioned it before but, as much as he loves to cook, he hates to have you in his way. He likes to have control.

He'd rather have you sit at the bar that looks into the kitchen. Talking to him has he cooks.

Loving looking at you every once and a while, a wide smile spitting your face as you seemed to glow.

If you cooked for him, he'd also enjoy that.

You paying attention to what you were doing. So focused, so in your element.

You'd never look better then that.

He cant help but come to you, pull your body against his, hold you close to him.

He wants to feel you, know you're real, and that you won't slip away. Mundus can't take you away.

Shes so used to being pulled around all day, working with the order. She just wants a calm place to spend time with you.

Dont get her wrong, she loves to spend nights on the couch, watching anything nostalgic with you.

But it's nice to get out, to get away from her everyday.

Her go to is probably a local and inexpensive cafe. Discussing your interests, the new spell shes been trying to master, and you trying to teach her how to say no to her boss.

Please, suprise her with something nice.

No cafe, or homemade dinner.

Take her out of limbo city, to a nice rural area. Hiking, a picnic, help her find the ingredients for a spell, take cute photos of her messing around with plants and animals.

Make her feel normal for a few hours, she really needs it.

Her heart will beat out of her chest when she sees the way you look at her. Eyes and face soft with love.

Dont let those feelings end when you get home. Shower her with live and affection.

I consider myself on the older side of the fandom (Mr. Min and I share a birth year), and I've had blogs on tumblr essentially since it launched. Things are soooooo much different on here than when I was in high school and college, and I feel bad for content creators who are suffering for it. There are a few little details that bothered me a little, and it wasn't as exciting as I maybe hoped it was going to be, but it was fine. Enjoyable still. These characters make me like the show, even when it got nothing too impactful 🤷‍♀️

But I got triggered about that lightning thing with Jay 😅 I guess I'll just fanfic whatever I had in mind...

The writing was really less engaging, a little normal in a way? Idk just a feeling. Nice to see Ronin again though, I really like him. And nice to see Jay freaking out, I really like that too 😂
