Bout to muse about something that is part headcanon part canon events

Tails is finally saved from his bullies by the (currently) small time hero he admires

Tails stalks follows his hero, uses his mechanical knowledge to improve Sonic's plane

While Tails follows Sonic around, even on dangerous journeys, the hedgehog keeps an eye out for the younger fox behind him, keeping him from being in too much danger

Sonic leads by example, demonstrating to Tails how to fight, and Tails runs maintenance on Sonic's plane and teaches him how to read

Soon enough, they become softly inseparable. Even if they can't adventure side by side (although they do more often than not), Sonic keeps contact with Tails whenever he can.

They strengthen each other's weak points. Where Tails lacks in raw strength, Sonic makes up for it with experience and speed. Where Sonic lacks in firepower, Tails has a machine, a gadget, or the technical know-how to take one. Sonic often rushes into danger, fighting without thinking too hard, but Tails' specialty is strategizing or making plans, and he's one of the few who can slow Sonic down enough to make sure he's prepared. And where Sonic supports Tails by being a force of nature, someone who can roll with the punches and execute one of Tails' plans with complete trust or faith, Tails also supports Sonic by understanding what he cannot, by crafting plans when Sonic is at a loss for how to proceed. They have such unwavering faith and trust in each other's abilities now.

Where Sonic is a hero, Tails is his own kind of hero, saving the people only he can save, helping in the ways only he can help. They support each other. They look out for each other. Even if Sonic is a force on his own, or Tails can go on solo adventures, they're more effective when they're together.

And no matter how things change as they grow, the people who come and go, the two of them are a constant. Sonic and Tails, ever at each other's sides.

Headcanon that Derrick is the son from the Duke's first wife that he married out of duty and Reynold and Ivonne are the children that the Duke had with his second wife that he married out of love. I imagine that the Duke married below his station when he chose to court Ivonne's mother shortly after the former duchess had passed away. Compared to the Duke's first wife who was a stern but elegant and dignified lady, his second wife was a lively thing who always sought new forms of dispersion and spend enormous sums of money on her wardrobe and entertainment.

3. Which final boss and/or final dungeon do you like the most (whether from a narrative or gameplay perspective)?

Across the games, I think Temporal Tower's duality of being the final dungeon in the main game and the final dungeon in Special Episode 5 is super engaging!

But in terms of gameplay, I gotta give the best final dungeons to both Gates and Super on OST alone—I'm sorry, but you can't beat Glacier Palace: Great Spire or Tree of Life: Roots/Trunk. Those tracks are some of the most atmospheric, moving songs in the entire franchise, and perfectly capture the sense of the impending challenge ahead, while still spurring you onwards in spite of it.

9. Are there any soundtracks you think are underrated or overlooked, or are there unused tracks you wish were in the game?

I've sung my praises for the 3DS PMD games' soundtracks before, and my opinion still stands!

But I'll give a mention to this little unused alternate Goodnight track for Explorers!

It just gives off a totally different feeling than the used song! Super charming and fun.

11. Any headcanons that take place after the games that you want to share?

I don't think this is necessarily an uncommon headcanon, but I like to think Medicham, Gardevoir, and Ekans in Rescue Team end up as the same Medicham and Gardevoir in Team Charm and the now-evolved Arbok in Team AWD! I'm a big sucker for continuity in media, so having previous characters continue to appear and develop across the games is a super fun concept I like!

Rn thinking about how capable rose actually is compared to the others in the group

Like, the show try to make her out to seem stupid and dumb, and while she may be dumb academically, she is also the smartest one when it comes to fights and serious situation

Like, remember when they were fighting olive and everyone turned into stones? She was the first to realize that the people who turned into stones aren't dead, and went after olive because logically speaking, the person who cast a spell should be able to stop it/ break it.

Remember the episode with the mermaids and the dragons? Even though she is the goofiest of them, she knew that sage already had enough trauma from hurting the dragon, and any more can affect her more than she can handle, so she choose to kill the dragon her self, in a way that says "see this? Now the dragon blood is on my hand. It's not just you anymore" (and that's really speak of her selfishly selfless character but that's for another time)

And in the last ep, in the library, when her and thyme were fighting mandrake, and we're lost in the library, she was the one to yell to thyme to meet her in the section that have the first letter of her first crush, and it would have worked if olive didn't read her diary

Like, seriously she is the most warrior like of the group, the first to go for the kill, and while she is still inexperienced and reckless, that just mean there is more room for her to grow

I just think her character is more than meet the eyes, and as of yet she is stronger than the rest of the group even when she is the most human like, with no magic like sage, no plant controlling like thyme, and no super strength like parsley

I have a dumb question, and I really hope this doesn’t sound rude. What’s the logic for some of the characters? Like, if they’re the “hero” in their storyline, but they don’t seem to follow Biblical doctrine… does that even count? I’m sorry if that sounds snotty; I don’t mean to have an attitude.

Short answer: I don't know, I'm not the one sending in the characters 😂

But really I would say there's not necessarily a consistent logic that they have to fit. That's part of the beauty of Christianity, isn't it? Anyone who repents and believes is welcome; it's not limited to any certain type of people. For the characters people are sending in here, I think there are a few categories. There are some that fit what you said, who already hold Christian morals and who one could easily headcanon as being Christian within the story. Sometimes people send in villains who they want to have redemption arcs and become Christian. Sometimes it's characters who are Christian; mostly it's characters people would like to see become Christian.

i feel like, in the verse where he's living in the us, minjoon gets homesick with some regularity and either a) orders a shitload of korean food from one of the many local restaurants he's tried in search of the right taste, or b) if he's feeling especially lonely & homesick, cooks for himself some of the meals that his mom would make for him growing up.

he also finds himself tempted to call his mother in these moments, but usually knows better than to actually do it (bc he knoooooows they'll get into an argument over something, and that'll ultimately just make him feel worse).

Mermaid time!!!

Thena and Ikaris were the kids who were always getting into fights. Like, alarming fights--parents would worry about ripped fins and torn scales. But when some big sharp tooth was giving Thena a hard time, Ikaris tackled him and dragged him all the way down to the bottom of a completely dark chasm. He held him down there and dared him to ever hit his sister again.

Thena does love Ikaris, deep (deep, deep, deep down). He's an annoying big brother, but she knows he cares. But she still doesn't let him near Gil; she took the drowning incident very personally.

Thena makes a point to go and visit Makkari more often after having been accused of being the type of mer to only spend time with her mate and forget her friends. She was completely mortified and offended by this, and now swims out to see her once a week. She does not make a point to see Ikaris before she goes home again--if it happens, it happens.

Thena has taken Gil exploring a few times. She holds his hand while they swim around little reefs and such. He explained snorkeling to her but she doesn't like the idea that he could explode. She just stays with him, passing air from her lungs into his as he needs (not that this can be carried on for an especially long time).

Sersi loves Thena. She doesn't care at all that Thena is a mermaid, she's just so happy to finally have a sister after dreaming of one for years. And Thena is so curious about everything, she's happy to let Sersi take her shopping and try on makeup and different hairstyles on her. Gil thinks it's sweet they get along so well.

Thena has tried asking Sersi questions about intercourse and Sersi refuses to even broach the subject, no matter how curious she is about the biological systems of mer reproduction. Thena gave her a loose 'birds and the bees' type explanation of it, although Sersi isn't totally clear on the logistics.

Gil hasn't told Thena about any of his ex-girlfriends. Not that there are many, but he just doesn't think she really needs to know.

Gil has asked about mer reproduction solely out of concern. He managed to kind of explain condoms and what they're for. Thena told him there was no need to worry, since she had no plan of laying eggs at any point in time. Gil - having not known literal eggs were involved - nearly spat out his coffee, and now he can't enjoy boba.

Thena is obsessed with boba.

Gil is still a little overprotective, but he lets Thena go out by herself sometimes. If he's going to be late, he'll radio the house. She can swim to the mainland and get changed in a secret spot. She likes going to the grocery store so she can see all the different foods.

She doesn't like shoes, but Gil is determined to find her as many pairs as possible, because she keeps managing to destroy them. She has no concept of being careful with them so she'll do things like sprint across rocky terrain in delicate sandals and break them.

Gil has asked if mers have mating tokens. She brings up her necklace but he means more like engagement rings or some such. She says they don't, although really if one were to find something incredibly rare and precious, like a fancy pearl or something, one would only give it to their mate.

Thena bites him sometimes. Not hard, but it's kind of an instinct for her. And she still hisses at things that are too loud or smell bad.

Thena with her legs on is a few inches shorter than Gil, but with her tail on, her total length is roughly two metres.

Oh. Thats because he can't.

Before, it was more of a diplomatic/being a social butterfly thing.

Now it's more of a Distraction thing. Something to keep him in his place, without him fully realizing it. After all, he can't try to-- oh just a random example-- usurp the Ambassador or free the Hanged King from his throne, if he constantly feels he'll actually die without other's attention and affection.

Each lord has their own distraction.

#MCtober2024 - Week 3 Amortentia Potion pt 1

Based on @lamieboo's #MCtober2024 event (click on #MCtober for more info).

Amortentia Potion To Sebastian, Iñaki smells like the following:

1: Freshly Brewed Coffee/ Hot Chocolate

Iñaki is known to drink some coffee -or as she likes to say it- café con leche in the morning. Not so much because of her American culture and using it to wake her up like her British peers like to assume, but more so because of her Latino upbringing. Her Latino-ness shows more when she is drinking coffee at night with a small roll of bread and cheese to eat. No one knows how she can sleep at night after drinking coffee in the evening. Sebastian is rather shock to hear she's been drinking coffee since she was a toddler. If Iñaki isn't drinking café con leche, she is mostly likely enjoying a cold Scottish morning or evening with chocolate caliente - not the American style of coco powder and hot milk, but from a chocolate tablet she brought from her parents' homeland and hot water.

When she is drink either café con leche or chocolate caliente it's one of the few times Sebastian catches Iñaki being still, content and happy at Hogwarts. The hot beverages' scents is something that makes Sebastian think of her. 2. Mellowsweet

If no one has what is the canon smell of mellowsweet, I would like to imagine it smells like a sweet citrus mint with a dash of chamomile...like a chamomile mojito. Iñaki is always up doing Merlin trials and sometimes drags Sebastian with her, so she always carries mellowsweet around with her. It's one of the smells Sebastian always associates Iñaki with since she always has it on her. Iñaki sometimes likes to chew on it for the minty citrus taste it leaves in her mouth so after the two do have their first kiss at some point in the future, all Sebastian could taste is mellowsweet.

3. The Beach/Sea Air

Iñaki misses home, especially the beaches she went to on Long Island. Often Sebastian would find her hanging out in the beach portion of the vivarium in the Room of Requirements and would sit next to her, just listening to the waves. Or she would ask Sebastian if he wanted to go to the coastal beach in Scotland, despite how cold it can get. The beach always makes her feel like at home and it's where she would spill whatever is bothering her or her life secrets to him without any pushing. There's just something about the beach that relaxes her. It's also where she is the most happiest whenever she feels down. Sometimes the two would just sit in the vivarium beach, listening to the waves splash, the seagulls flying and wheeling as they watch the sunset (this is one memory both would later use for their patronus - moreso Sebastian than Iñaki). The one constant all beaches have is the salty tangy air that reminds Sebastian of Iñaki

Could I please have your Autistic!Strickler headcanons again?

I'm thinking of writing him as autistic in my fanfic and I want to be sure I get it right!

Sure thing! I will ALWAYS have more autistic! Strickler headcanons...

Strickler has poor social skills when it comes to actual honest interactions, (especially when it comes to Barbara) he will miss all the usual cues that show someone is interested in him and doesn't know WHAT an apology looks like. Most people assume he's too haughty to consider relationships, but he doesn't understand them unless it's for cover or spying on someone. Which is why in Canon he's all over the place when it comes to Barbara.

He does find it hard to maintain eye contact, both with trolls 'superior' to him and humans he is more close to. He's trained himself to meet people's eyes and not immidiately look away, but it's hard for him then to not give too much eye contact.

Constantly fidgets. Needs to stim with his hands, so twirling knives/pens, tapping fingers. One of the reasons Strickler took up playing the piano.

Strickler is hyper sensitive to noticing small details, smells and sounds, even more so than normal trolls and changelings, which of course makes him an excellent spy but also makes him easily overwhelmed/overstimulated.

He likes to make careful plans before doing something, so there are as less variables as possible. He hates it when things go wrong.

And of course, he doesn't know he's autistic. Diagnoses for autism didn't exactly exist when he was young, so Barbara is the one to get him dragged to being diagnosed. Not that he complains, he suspected it for a few years.
