yo so i just finished 'anything will do' by @suiana and bruhh this game ,,, i thought i was getting into something sweet and soft why tf am i left with a HOLE in my heart ,,,

deadass thought ai was just gonna let me hit and then he became existential and oHHHH MYY GODD the tone was just so introspective and endearing?? fr the entire game and it's writing felt like one of those lovely conversations you'd have in high school with your friends - the one you'll randomly remember now as an adult and feel ashamed for forgetting.

Sweetness

The man’s neck hadn’t been snapped yet when he walked into the bar. The sweetness of the smile on his lips felt like it didn’t belong to him; it was foreign and intruding on his face - which was scarred from the mouth down. He licked his lips hungrily, in one way or another, before brushing his messy, ginger hair from his face with a wholly bandaged hand. I hadn’t known who he was, then. So, I called him over.

The man’s neck still hadn’t been snapped when he sat opposite of me. The sweetness on his breath wasn’t his own – the dizzying smell of Crimsons, illegal though they are, is unmistakable. He licked his lips, chasing a high, either the one still coating his lips or the one in front of him, as he talked in an attractive, Southern drawl – which didn’t sound quite right. I hadn’t known who he was, then. So, I listened to him.

He licked his lips almost impatiently, his attention wandering increasingly often as he started fidgeting with the heavy scarf looped atop his narrow shoulders, absentmindedly tugging it upwards – over his disfigured neck and jaw. I hadn’t known what he was, then. So, I warned him of descending hands.

He licked his lips clumsily before wiping his chin with the sleeve of his trench coat, which was slightly too big for him. He should be dead, and was, though only in his eyes. Blue-green eyes, vibrant turquoise encircling lime green. Impassively intense eyes, meeting my own, impossibly wide. I hadn’t known what he was, then. So, I let my guard down. After all, what kin feasts on the thicker of water and blood? And who am I, if this is one of my own?

You've probably gotten this a lot already, but Bluesky is basically Twitter, but if you don't like how political the ads have been and want to see more "tweets" from people that follow the social politics of Tumblr + where all the "adult content" artists went + where the academics and institutional scientists are moving to; it's a good place to go for that. As you can tell tho, I have some mixed feelings about what's been happening to it, as it was initially built to have multiple instances spread across the net, but it's become fairly centralized now that Twitter is hemorrhaging users of generally a left leaning persuasion who have only ever used twitter and have no desire to integrate with the original vision of the site and instead use it as Twitter 2.0. I will say, an upside is an easier creation and cultivation of "feeds" which let you have multiple themed feeds for you to follow and potentially contribute to. Like feed of just cat pictures. Or a feed of just current scientific findings from scientists. That kinda thing. Of course there's also just who you're following feed, which doesn't use AI algorithms to supplement it, it's just who you're following like on Tumblr.

i just checked it out and yeah. it looks Exactly like twitter, at least on desktop. just without the hundreds of bot replies and blue checkmark users with the most hate-filled takes i've ever read.
