Note
pls tell us more about the s2 parallels
I was hoping someone would ask, so thank you 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Okay, so, for starters we have the way the season begins reintroducing the show in a sense because of the network change and a lot of those reintroductions look like the stuff they did during under pressure, not the pilot, down to having a bomb call. We have Buck letting go of a relationship that was supposed to be true love but we only see Buck's side, we all know Buck, Bothered and Bewildered is "what if during Under Pressure, Eddie had grabbed Buck by his face and kissed him" bucktommy then parallel Buck and Ali in the way they meet during the opening disaster, Tommy starts the connection, Buck talks to Maddie about how they are taking things slow, same with the coffee talk he has with Tommy, and the way that Tommy pretty much vanishes during the second half of the season even though we know he's around. The medal ceremony mirrors Eddie's shield ceremony. Bobby is struggling with Minessota down to the point where he loses the job over it. We also have the way that Athena has issues with being scared of the happiness being taken away from her so she doesn't want to go public about their relationship and the way Bobby keeps acting like he doesn't deserve her. Midseason event leads to Chim getting hurt while trying to get to Maddie and a hunt for one side of madney where they end up finding help themselves, being saved by family, Chim finds his way back to the Lee's, Maddie kills Doug and finds Buck, with Kevin and Doug making an appearance. There are also callbacks to all of the begins episodes that happen in season 2. The mere presence of Tommy and Gerrard gives us more of that. Hen going missing in the opening disaster and everyone breaking the rules to follow her. Season 2 also ends with henren deciding they want another child and now they are fighting to get their child back. Season 2 also has the plot where Eva tries to take Denny back and this time they do lose custody of Mara. Eddie and Shannon, Eddie and Kim, do I even need to try to go that deep there? Eddie has troubles created by sex that he discusses with Buck, the sex scene he has with Marisol in 705 mirrors the scene he has with Shannon in 210 almost exactly. Marisol only exists to take care of Chris while Shannon also exists in this space where it's more about Chris than Eddie. Eddie's parents try to get them back to Texas at the end of season 2, they actually succeed in getting Chris back this time. Eddie is again in a space where he was forced to stand there and do nothing as he loses someone he loves. Season 2 ends with the team missing one person, so does season 7. Bobby gets targeted in the finale by someone we meet two episodes before said finale in an episode where we learn more about Bobby's past. Bonus points on the way the Grant-Nash house gets targeted and this time it actually catches on fire. The bathena + the kids scene at the finale showing that's all they actually need too. Buck stepping up into a co-parent role but this time while getting asked to. There is more, but I haven't watched s7 enough times to pull them all from my memory right now. But like the 2 sets I posted earlier, there are also a lot of similarities in how the scenes were filmed too. There are a lot of callbacks to the structure of season 4, I'm not denying that, but it's season 2 again.

211 The One With The Lesbian Wedding
(Not Mine)
But there is so much going on in this moment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
201 The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy || 211 The One With The Lesbian Wedding
The expression she pulls is almost mirrored, smirking mouth and tight lips as she tries not to smile, when she says the joke about her promisquity as well as in this quiet moment between her and Chandler. So the question is, why?
Please note, she is wearing his shirt from last weeks episode. Could the fact that they share clothes, either she’s between laundry and needs something comfy, or for a more salacious reason be the cause for the exchange. They have been very flirty and looking at each other constantly in this scene. Perhaps that has something to do with it. See below for proof.

Indulging in my spones and inevitably fics will bring up Tarsus IV and it’s really really important that people realise that Conscience of the king  deliberately wrote into Kirk’s backstory that he is a Holocaust survivor.
I’m not dropping the H word for drama here, the ep itself very deliberately brings you to this path. There is clear mirroring of the uncertainty surrounding Hitler’s fate - not only the uncertainty, but the exact way Kodos’ body was discovered (burned to the point where no positive ID could be made), and the fucked up application of his own personal eugenics to select those who should die - McCoy even says “He wasn’t the first”  and don’t even try to pretend you don’t EXPLICITLY know to whom is he is referring here.   And let us not ignore the glaring, elephantine presence of Kodos' speech - forever burned into Kirk's mind, so deeply he can recite it word for word 20 years after the fact.  The circumstances are shifted slightly, but the cant is the same. Then there is the greater meta context of the episode - this was written in the 60′s, when Wiesenthal et al were making headlines as they were actively hunting and bringing nazi party members to justice for their crimes.   Not to mention that Tarsus IV was "Twenty years ago" - what happened twenty years before the sixties, kids?
The ep is written, as the best of Trek is, to hold a slightly obscured mirror up to society and social issues of the time. It deals with survivor's guilt after an atrocity, the desire for vengeance, crimes so great they cannot - and should not - be forgiven, and even in the face of mounting evidence Kirk tries desperately to hold to a higher ground, to be certain, absolutely certain, not only because "This is a man's life" but because he will also have to face the decades old personal trauma he thought buried that is once more made flesh.  And this is very much a struggle many real-life Holocaust survivors went through in the time period - for a very long time their suffering was propagandised and trumpeted, while the survivors themselves were shamefully left behind and pushed by society to hide that part of their past, just as Kirk himself does, so deeply that even Spock and McCoy are unaware of it.
They took James T Kirk, the star of the show, fearless hero of the Federation, commander of the Federation flagship and they made him a Holocaust survivor.
That’s really, really fucking important.

If you like the sound of Ukraine's voice in their Eurovision song, you might also like:
Warsaw Village Band. They do this vocal stuff ALL the time. My personal favourite album of theirs is People's Spring. You might like this song
Laboratorium Piesni. I especially love their albums Rosna and Rasti, but that's me. You may like songs like this or this.
Heads up, these bands are quite a bit more traditional! There main thing they have in common with Ukraine's SHUM is the vocal sound

I was writing it quickly as I was watching it so there might be some spelling mistakes and the synopsis might be a bit off. Nevertheless, if you go back to the episodes you’ll know exactly what I am talking about.
I’m just putting this here, because I don’t know what else to do with it and I think this adds depth to Monica’s character and her attitude towards eating, working out and.. perfectionism?
Listed below are the specific season and episode of any actions or sayings or conversations that highlights Monica’s obesity when she was younger, eating habits when she was obese, eating habits now and/or fear of gaining the weight back.

- ross was telling a story and he mentioned that he had to head over to the store to get a dozen candy for someone... that someone was monica. S9E15
-monica: "thats how it starts I don't need to eat the cake, ill just smell the icing. Why not just a little sliver or a slice or two. next thing you know you’re 210 pounds and you get wedged in going down the tunnel slide'' -S9E17

-monica said she won the pie eating contest when she was younger -S10E8
Tumblr media
I want to end this by saying: There is nothing wrong with being fat. I was much happier eating whatever the heck I wanted without having to worry than I ever was starving myself to lose weight... I am glad I know this now, and I hope whoever is reading this and is struggling realizes this too.. Trust me, its not worth it.
Obviously, if you’re obese, there are tons of scientific research stating that you can develop many serious health risks.. So, do your best to exercise and most importantly to eat clean in a healthy way.. and of course, go to a certified nutritionist for help and don’t take advice from the internet.
Good luck and best wishes to all. -M

Note
I LOVED season 1 and 2 of the crown but found season 3 quite dull and difficult to get through. I'm enjoying season 4 (still havent finished bc I watch with my family and we're rarely all together) but I think that the earlier seasons were a lot better in my opinion
hi! i completely agree w you!
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY! I replied to this the day you sent it but my laptop crashed and I lost everything I wrote so I put off till now!
All in all, the writing for the first two seasons were WAY better. My ranking is s2 > s1 > s4 >>>>> s3. In my opinion, season three was kind of terrible.
hahaha this is so so long.
In the first two seasons each episode’s mini story for the day was actually INTERESTING. Like, I loved where one episode was about the Mountbatten name and then the next was about the Great Smog! But, there was always an overarching plot and it always added up in the end. S1, S2 and S4 all had an overarching plot that worked! S1 was balancing family and the crown. S2 was balancing prime ministers and her husband. S4 was the downfall of Margaret Thatcher and Charles/Diana. S3 LITERALLY HAD NO PLOT! It was just a bunch of stories put together. The finale for season 3 was about the end of Margaret’s marriage! And although, it is an important event in the family’s history the fact that it was the finale episode????
Anyways, Season 3 genuinely just sucks. Season 4 is REALLY good. Yet, it still doesn’t leave as much of an affect on me like the earlier seasons. AND LIKE I KNOW BECAUSE I’VE REWATCHED THE FIRST THREE SEASONS SO MANY TIMES. I’ve only seen the fourth once because I’m too busy and it’s also too early for me to rewatch it. So, maybe my opinion of season 4 will change!
Now, because I am extra 😈😈 and crazy I will talk about every single episode IN ORDER. hehehehehehe. feel free to hate me
SEASON ONE
101 Wolferton Splash - 10/10 this episodes just sets everything up! we see how happy the marriage is and how loving king george is and we also see the FORSHADOWING!! we see lilibet and phillip making their life thinking they had time when we know they don’t and it’s just :( AN AMAZING PILOT EPISODE WITH AMAZING QUOTES!
102 Hyde Park Corner - 1000/10 this episode needs no explanation. the suspense and DRAMA right before lilibet finds out about her dad ALWAYS gets me!!
103 Windsor - 10/10 I hated this episode the first time I watched it! I didn’t understand the importance of her uncle and I didn’t understand the complexity behind the episode. I was 14 when I saw this episode for the first time! So, mind you I was quite ignorant. but, david basically represents the audience in the show for those who hate the monarchy and call them out on their hypocrisy. BUT DAVID IS A TERRIBLE PERSON! FUCK DAVID! i understand hating the monarchy and for him i know it was personal but the way he talks about his family in the letters UGHUGHGUHGUHGUHGUH this man is evil! there’s also the other story in the episode about the mountbatten name which is so brilliant!
104 Act of God - 15/10 this episode was boring on first watch but I WAS FOURTEEN! this episode took a break from the monarchy and concentrated on a british national horrific event THAT WAS IMPORTANT and i liked how it connected throughout the episode and all that and the CINEMATOGRAPHY OMGGGGG! anyways, something that pisses me off about this episode is that the crown kind of has the same kind of audience as euphoria! they only care about a hot actor or iconic character or the aesthetics AND THAT MAKES ME ANGRY! bc those are the ppl who call this episode the boring fog episode and the latest episode of euphoria a waste of time! they don’t understand the importance of what their watching. an event that killed hundreds by something that could have been avoided bc of science and for euphoria an ongoing pandemic of an ugly world and its affect on ppl not wanting to go on! IM SORRY THIS TURNED INTO A RANT but this episode is important in reminding audiences that disasters can be avoided but also once they happen anything can happen THIS WAS A SAD EPISODE OKAY AND I LOVED VENETIA SCOTT!
105 Smoke and Mirrors - 100/10 THE CORONATION EPISODE! Phillip tries to bring it to the common public and all the fighting between them just makes the coronation even more impactful when we watch it!
106 Gelignite - 8/10 I DESPISED MARGARET IN THE FIRST SEASON i saw her as a spoiled brat who wanted to marry her dad’s assistant! AND ALSO HOW DID SHE NOT REALIZE THERE WAS DEFINITE GROOMING INVOLVED! this episode is generally very good but margaret just pisses me off a lot! however, her not being able to marry peter boresend shouldn’t have been because of his divorcee status but bc he simply was a predator in anyone’s clear eyes IM SORRY IF YOU DISAGREE BUT SHE MET HIM SO YOUNG NO WAY THERE WAS NO GROOMING good episode but pissed off at margaret’s lack of critical thinking besides but I WANT HIMMMMM LIKE I WANT EVERYTHING
107 Scientia Potentia Est - 11/10 hated this when i first watched it! but now one of my favorites! lilibet feels dumb and needs a tutor! prime minister and wannabe prime minister have health problems and keep it from her! lilibet finds out by accident and they all get yelled at! I LOVE WHEN SHE YELLS AT MEN!
108 Pride & Joy - 10/10 this episode is just adds on to the overarching plot of the season: balancing the crown and family. margaret says disrespectful things to ppl who don’t deserve it in place of lilibet while she’s on the commonwealth tour fighting with her husband! then lilibet scorns margaret and we see an ugly papa loved me more argument! absolutely brilliant!
109 Assassins - 1000/10 hated it the first time but now I LOVE THIS EPISODE! it’s the painting and porchey episode and churchill leaving episode. It’s so so so good! i honestly have no words to describe the brilliance of this episode besides the acting done by almost the entire main cast CLAIRE WOW! MATT WOW! STEPHEN (THE PAINTER) WOW! JOHN WOW! HARRIET WOW! when we see the painting getting burned coincided w the downing st dinner GETS ME EVERYTIME I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH!
110 Gloriana - 100/10 the climactic fight between the crown and family! which will lilibet choose?? and the foreshadowing to suez MWAH!
SEASON TWO
201 Misadventure - 100/10 LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS EPISODE the cutesy lilibet and phillip until it all goes down WOW! and the suez stuff i love it all
202 A Company of Men - 100/10 this is where i think mike’s wife starts snooping or it’s the next episode BUT THIS IS WHERE SOMETHING BEGINS FOR SURE first of all it foreshadows the episode later in the season about philip’s childhood AND MATT’S ACTING!! it’s too good for words!
203 Lisbon - 100/10 i like it when they fight lol that’s the only way i know how to describe why i love it LILIBET WAS EXCITED TO SEE HIM AND SO WAS HE but then mike ruined it by being a disgraceful and dishonest man RUINING EVERYTHING
204 Beryl - 10/10 i start to like margaret bc i feel bad for her! she’s suffering she’s sad that her lil predator boyfriend is no longer w her but look who it is MATTHEW GOODE! he not suspicious at all but the writers are like here take 20 minutes of perfect chemistry between the actors!
205 Marionettes - 100/10 I LOVE THIS EPISODE basically someone who loves the monarchy insults the monarchy and lilibet actually goes to listen to them! w resistance of course but she still took everything he said to fix the monarchy !
206 Vergangenheit - 1000/10 one of my favorites! i didn’t know about david’s nazi past so when i watched this episode for the first time i was completely baffled! another episode where she yells at a man!!!! i’m always annoyed in this episode tho by all the talk from the priest about forgiveness bc im like why would u want to forgive david for being a nazi?? but i think it was intentional by the writers to show the importance of understanding forgiveness and the grounds for it! THIS EPISODE IS JUST PERFECT IM ANNOYED BC I DON’T WANT TO FORGIVE HIM
207 Matrimonium - 9/10 this episode is amazing BEFORE you’ve seen season three bc you root for margaret and tony! but, also throughout the episode there’s all that tony and family and his gf and bf stuff that you think is going to lead somewhere but doesn’t??? like what was the point of introducing his mother and his relationships if it was going nowhere and not even mentioned in season 3??? LIKE WHAT WAS THE POINT WHAT WAS THE REASON? but, also there’s lilibet and phillip fluff in this episode I LOVE
208 Dear Mrs. Kennedy - 10/10 this episode is fun as an american bc i think jackie kennedy and jfk are so idolized here in america it was so interesting to see this other pov! BUT I ALSO REALLY LOVED LILIBET DANCING W NKRUMAH! I THOUGHT IT WAS SO CUTE AND THE MARTIN CHARTERIS STUFF LEADING UP TO IT WAS SO FUNNY!
209 Paterfamilias - 100000/10 no words. IT WAS SO SMART TO PARALLEL PHILIP AND CHARLES this has a lower rating than the previous episode which makes no sense but only goes to prove the idolization of jackie and jfk
210 Mystery Man - 100/10 EVERYTHING FROM THE FIRST EPISODE IS ADDRESSED IN THIS EPISODE THE SEASON COMES FULL CIRCLE JUST LIKE SEASON ONE DID AND SEASON THREE DID NOT DO THAT AND SEASON FOUR DID IT TOO BUT NO WHERE AS GREATLY
every single episode of seasons two has a 9+ rating from me!
SEASON THREE (worst season)
301 Olding - 5/10 weak starter but good for introducing olivia as lilibet and harold wilson and departing churchill BUT THAT’S IT! like the whole spy thing just went bleh LIKE IT HAD POTENTIAL but it needed early seasons writing not third season writing techniques TOBIAS DID A GREAT JOB THO IN THIS EPISODE HE WAS A GREAT RECAST FOR PHILIP
302 Margaretology - 6/10 okay. just okay. margaret kind of bratty but you actually feel bad for her then she gets bratty again and then you feel bad for her again and the scenarios in the episode just didn’t feel real like the whole lyndon b johnson was so jealous of jfk that he was rude to the queen so they sent margaret JUST DIDN’T MAKE SENSE like i know this show is fictional but the fiction tends to be believable until i research the episode afterwards BUT FOR THIS it just didn’t make sense
303 Aberfan - 1000/10 ONE OF THE GOOD EPISODES OF THE SEASON! those first fifteenish minutes??? TEARS! i never knew about aberfan until this episode and seeing this episode made me cry!
304 Bubbikins - 10000/10 THIS EPISODE IS TECHNICALLY NOT AS GOOD AS THE ABERFAN EPISODE BUT THIS IS A PERSONAL PREFERENCE we meet anne and alice in this episode AND I LOVE BOTH OF THEM (erinsdoherty is my current url!) this episode is so sad and sweet at the same time and loving bc i’m a sucker for philip’s back story!
305 Coup - 8/10 this had potential I FEEL LIKE IF THEY WROTE THIS EPISODE DIFFERENTLY LIKE HOW THEY WROTE ONE OF THE SUEZ EPISODE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER the fact that it all went to nothing and nothing basically happened WHAT WAS THE POINT
306 Tywysog Cymru - 1000/10 this episode made me like charles! what a horrendous statement! but, like i thought his relationship w his tutor was so heartwarming and he actually seemed to care and all that and it just all in all MADE ME HAPPY like this episode isn’t sad it’s a happy episode until the last scene w lilibet BUT YEA they gave us this one good episode until we hate him which i appreciate makes the story telling better
307 Moondust - -100/10 hate this episode LIKE GENUINELY HATE IT HATE HATE HATE and tbh im generally very very nice w my opinions ANYWAYS I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS EPISODE BUT IT WAS SO STUPID LIKE THE ASTRONAUTS BEING ASSHOLES WAS STUPID PHILIP BEING AN ASSHOLE TO THE PRIESTS WAS STUPID LIKE PHILIP IS AN ASSHOLE BUT IT’S BEHIND PEOPLE’S BACKS AND THEN THEY KILLED ALICE OFF SCREEN I HATE THIS EPISODE
308 Dangling Man - -1000/10 HATE THIS ONE TOO this episode convinced me that the writers for the first two seasons to this season has changed all of a sudden we forget that david was basically a nazi and the charles we met two episodes ago sees him as exactly like this uncle who he swore he would be nothing like to the people of wales??? LIKE WHO WROTE THIS THEY WERE DOING CRACK WHILE WRITING THIS EPISODE and i felt NOTHING during the lilibet and david goodbye WHACK EPISODE TERRIBLE JUST BAD TERRIBLE
309 Imbroglio - 5/10 episode started off good but then just went a lil too crazy by making it seem like a whole secret spy mission going behind lilibet’s back
310 Cri de Cour - 4/10 bad just bad HBC GOOD ACTRESS AMAZING ACTRESS given bad material like NONE OF THIS FEELS CONNECTED THIS STORY IS ALL RANDOM AND WE HAD A WHOLE EPISODE ABOUT MARGARET AND TONY AND WE DON’T EVEN MENTION ANY OF THE CRAZY STUFF FROM THE LAST SEASON BUT WE CONCENTRATE ON MARGARET BEING A SUGAR MAMA MAKES SENSE YALL
once again i hate season three
SEASON FOUR
401 Gold Stick- 8/10 written weirdly but had GOOD SCENES such as meeting thatcher and diana! BUT THE SCENE STEALER WAS OBVIOUSLY MOUNTBATTEN’S DEATH AND PHILIP TELLING CHARLES THAT HE BECAME DICKIE’S SON INSTEAD OF HIM SAD STUFF so like the death was sad and dramatic and I FELT BAD but like i shouldn’t bc im south asian and mountbatten did bad stuff to us BUT IT DOESN’T CHANGE THE RIPPLE WE FELT
402 The Balmoral Test - 9/10 funny episode but needed early seasons’ writing
403 Fairytale - 9/10 good episode but needed early seasons’ writing BUT ALSO THAT SCENE BETWEEN CAMILA AND DIANA MWAH CHEF’S KISS THEY BOTH DESERVE ALL THE AWARDS but needed early seasons’ writing
404 Favourites - 7/10 this episode is good but frustrating bc u finally realize how terrible of a mother lilibet is BUT THE ANDREW STUFF WAS GOOD I AM GLAD THEY PUT THAT IN! i liked seeing thatcher’s non-existent relationship w her daughter NEEDED EARLY SEASONS’ WRITING
405 Fagan - 10/10 GOOD EPISODE I LIKE HOW WE WERE EMERSED IN FAGAN’S LIFE AND I LOVE THE ACTOR FOR FAGAN TOO AND I LIKE HOW IT WAS CONNECTED TO THATCHER AND FUELED THE OVERARCHING PLOT OF THE STORY!
406 Terra Nullius - 100/10 GOOD EPISODE CLOSEST TO EARLY SEASONS WRITING THAT’S WHAT MADE IT GOOD seeing them not get along and then get along and then not get along again through a series of montages made the episode brilliant!
407 The Hereditary Principle - 6/10 this episode. how do i explain? the material for this episode was absolutely perfect for the writers of the early seasons! POOR EXECUTION
408 48:1 - 100/10 i like the political episodes more than the family episodes SO THIS EPISODE IS SO BRILLIANT BC OF THE BACK AND FORTH AND I GOT TO SEE CLAIRE!!
409 Avalanche - 7/10 early season writers would have shown the arguing before the avalanche and diana’s reaction JUST SAYING
410 War - 9/10 THIS EPISODE HAD THE YELLING AT EACH OTHER SCENE THAT WAS SO GOOD BUT ANYWAYS THE PROBLEM W THIS EPISODE WAS THAT IT DRAGGED I FEEL LIKE THIS EPISODE AND THE ONE BEFORE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ONE EPISODE TOGETHER
ALAS, what i would like to say is that i feel that season 4 shouldn’t have been so diana centric! it was diana from the beginning of the season to the end! not, that i don’t love the whole diana story but it was dragged and i think she should have been introduced around the third/fourth episode of this season the same way tony was in season two! camilla should have arrived at the beginning of season 4 so that the intensity between camilla, charles and diana was more believable! if we season three wasn’t so spread out they could have had more brilliant episode.
OK HAHA I AM SO SORRY FOR THIS VERY LONG RANT ABOUT THE CROWN PLZ FORGIVE ME! AND IF U READ ALL THIS WOW! IDK WHAT TO SAY I THINK I TALK TOO MUCH HONESTLY :( anyways thank you for talking to me :)

RNM 2x10 - American Woman
EPISODE SUMMARY:
SECRETS OF THE PAST — After uncovering a cryptic message from the past, Alex (Tyler Blackburn), Isobel (Lily Cowles), Max (Nathan Dean), Michael (Michael Vlamis) and Maria (Heather Hemmens) set out in search of answers at the reservation where Alex’s mother grew up. Meanwhile, Cameron (guest star Riley Voelkel) encourages Liz (Jeanine Mason) to reach out to someone from her past after Auturo (guest star Carlos Compean) gets detained. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Rick Montano & Vincent Ingaro & Jason Gavin (#210). Original airdate 5/18/2020.
DETAILS:
Tripp brings Louise to the Reservation in a body bag where the Navajo doctors are able to save her life.
"Your message said that you were gonna bring two women that would be no trouble.  This looks like a lot of trouble."
"I must have gotten the codes wrong."
"No, don't give me that Manes man nonsense. Not here in my own home."
"Her name is Louise. I promised her friend Nora I'd protect them. My brother triggered an ambush before I could get them here. And Nora…"
"Wait, what does the Air Force want them for?"
"They're not from around here. They're from...up north."
"Yìiyáh. No. She can't stay here… What if your brother comes here and finds a fugitive.  I can't put my people at risk for a white woman."
"Please. You're the only person I trust. If she doesn't make it, it was all for nothing."
"I'll have you remember that I was the one that saved your ass in Okinawa. I don't owe you anything. I'm only doing this because you're my family. And because I'm a damn fool."
A few notes on this scene:
--I don't know why Tripp pretends he got the codes wrong.  Unless he's spiraling and talking about the timing of the attack.  But it seems like he means the message that he was bringing them to the reservation.  Clearly things didn't go according to plan.  Though, it is always possible that we're still missing bits of the story.
--OG Easter Egg.  "They're not from around here.  They're from up north." For anyone who didn't watch OG, this is almost exactly how the exchange went when Max told Liz he was an alien in the 1999 pilot.
--Yìiyáh - I found nothing on this word.  I'm assuming that it's a curse word or general exclamation of negativity, but literally got zero results on google. It's possible, of course, that it's misspelled in the captions.  There were a lot of errors in the captions in this opening scene.
--While there really isn't any overt statement that Alex is half Navajo and this town is part of Navajo Nation (which has been in the news a lot lately and therefore is a good place in this country to be aware of), there's lots of clues or subtle enough statements that I feel like it can be accepted as fact, since: Harrison is a codetalker, the necklace is Navajo, tsela is a Navajo word. So I did a little peeking and it could work.  The closest Navajo town is about a 4 hour drive from Roswell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Navajo Nation:
(side note - Navajo Nation has extreme poverty but also is utterly gorgeous. And the Tribe gets income from tourism. Just a few places there that I'm dying to go? Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Shiprock.  Check it out.)
Liz comments on Max's irregular heartbeat, with literally no acknowledgment of the fact that she's straddling him and has a history of causing his heart to race...and other forms of lack of control (think 1x03).
"I'm excited about this though. You know Alex dug up all that info on our bio Mom. You sure you can't come?"
"Got to take my dad in for his blood tests. I want to check on Jenna too.  Cannot believe she's back in the hospital again."
"She's been in pain for weeks. I have no leads on the mysterious hunting van, and Charlie hasn't made contact."
"Hmm. To be fair, I do hear that phone service is a little spotty in flying saucers."
"Okay, I get that. You think my alien abduction theory is bogus."
"I know you're worried that this has something to do with you, but I don't think this is an alien thing."
"Cam and I had fractal burns on our necks. We had no memory of what happened. That's alien stuff. I just want clarity on something."
--Note that it's past time to abandon all hope of anything resembling a defined timeline for this show...once again we have weeks passing between episodes. This is the second time this season that the time passing has only been generically described as "weeks".  It's been at least a year since Liz came back to Roswell (per her conversation with Diego), but a year would be summer (late May or early June, specifically), and in this episode Isobel mentions that it's winter (which would be a year and a half).
Maria's pitch:
"In conclusion, esteemed members of the Roswell Tourism Board, while the Pony is normally a sanctuary for locals during CrashCon, I think that my plan to turn it into the Contact Cantina Pop-Up Bar will be a hit with alien fans."
"We're talking more money than we first speculated, aren't we now?"
"You know, Mayor Bernhardt, I forgot to tell you about our new morning cocktail… It's coffee, vanilla cream, and our best bourbon. Let me get you a double."
Note: so this is the famous Mayor Bernhardt. Funded by the Long family. Doesn't like immigrants. Had a racist relative who wouldn't give first prize to the black man.
Tumblr media
Maria's vision…
Herself, younger, sitting at the Pony bar.
"You have to let me go! You're just crazy! And I'm trapped!"
And then she runs from the bar crying.
She's not wearing the necklace.
Describing it to Michael:
"I had a vision, but it was more like a memory. Of a fight I had with my mom when I was younger."
Isobel interrupts Michael and Maria to pick them up for the road trip. Just a few relevant excepts from this scene:
"Pack your bags. We're going on a family road trip."
"Is this why Max wanted the day off?"
"In the photo of Max and Isobel's bio Mom, there was a water tower. Alex recognized that water tower from the town where his mom grew up. You should come with us."
Alex and Forrest talk in the Crashdown:
"Hope that limp isn't from a paintball injury."
"Nope. Those bruises have mostly healed. I just got a new prosthetic. Takes a minute to get used to. You working on your book?"
"I write my book on my computer.  However, I write my angsty emo poetry in an angsty emo journal."
"I'm actually working on some poetry myself. Well, song lyrics, technically. It's a lot harder than it was in high school."
"Yeah, writing was easier for me when I was a kid too. Feelings...we bury 'em now. You just got to find that thing inside of you that doesn't have a voice. Lend it yours. You know? Listen, I have like, zero musical talent, but if you need help with the worst part, we could, uh…"
"Actually I'm leaving tomorrow for a few days to go talk to some recruits."
Michael interruptus, and the conversation goes casual.
--What happened to "angsty nerd isn't really my type." Or...was it FORESHADOWING!!!?! 😂
--Oh hi there clear shot of Forrest's clearly Deep Sky logoed ring…
Tumblr media
Cam has been having debilitating migraines that have been keeping her bedridden since the abduction.
Nurse Kate is a badass. she tries to keep ICE from getting into a patient's room. Liz hears her and hurries to the waiting room, where there's more ICE activity. Liz panics and tries to get Arturo out of the hospital, but she caught the attention of the ICE officers. However, Liz knows her rights.
"He has applied for his green card. I'm his sponsor, okay? This is his G-1145 right here."
"You can show that to the court."
"It's okay. Call the lawyer."
"No. He is a diabetic. It is illegal to detain a patient."
"Exigent circumstances. Move."
"No. Hey, this is an unconstitutional arrest and the ACLU will be all over you."
"Elizabeth, we respect the law in this family. If you're in trouble, who will take care of the mouse?"
--G-1145 is a request for confirmation that your green card application has been accepted:
--The timing of this all. Liz has been prepared for this moment all her life and would fight it to the point of getting arrested herself, if not for Rosa. Rosa's safety is the only thing that convinces Liz to step aside.
--As an only semi related note, this is a really interesting contrast to how they wrote Jeanine's character out on Grey's Anatomy.
--Also feel like it would be remiss of me to not point out Liz's reactiveness and fightinf mentality is mirroring how Liz initially reacted to Max pulling her over in the pilot.
"Okay. So the Deputy on call says there's one detention center in the county. Here's the info."
"He doesn't have anything left in Mexico. No one. Nowhere to go."
"You can't think like that right now."
"I think like this always. Rosa and I used to recite our escape plan for if our parents got deported and we got separated in foster care. I begged my parents not to tell Santa where we lived because I was afraid he'd ask for papers. My whole life was built on a fear of this day coming, and it's here. If I'd have kept better track of his health, he wouldn't need these tests. I should have made him move to California. I thought we were safe being outside the hundred-mile zone, but after this election I should have known better. And I should have made him wear a sweater this morning because it's freezing out there. And what if he…?"
"...okay think. Is there someone we can call?"
"Kyle's at a conference, but I can have him call his mom."
"Do you know anyone with some real power? You know, Federal muscle?"
Cam gets dressed to take Liz to the Detention Center and Liz calls Diego for help.
The road trip group arrive at the reservation and meet Gregory Manes.  He says he remembers them all from high school.  He takes Max, Michael, and Isobel to learn about Louise while Alex and Maria go jewelry shopping.
Meanwhile Gregory is taking the Pod Squad to Louise's grave, but pauses for some flirting:
"You're still the Isobel Evans who convinced the basketball captain to pull four different fire alarms to get out of AP Gov, right? Yeah, legend. Here she is."
"Oh my God, it's covered in flowers.  It's winter."
"Rumor is they grow year-round unattended. She was a healer. I'm told she helped with trauma, addiction, that sort of thing. All without speaking."
"This another grave?"
"She was pregnant."
"Louise arrived gravely injured. And the baby didn't survive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
--Louise died the same day the Pod Squad came out of the pods, confirming that she is probably the old woman on the reservation that was described in 1x09.
--Michael found the mysterious purple flowers growing on Louise's grave.

Alex and Maria at the trading post.
"Are you okay? Seem a little off."
"I had a vision during a meeting this morning. It almost cost me a deal that could save the bar. Maybe I should just wear the necklace. Go back to being a social media guru. Slash barkeep. Slash magical trope in our redneck mayor's fantasy."
"So why did you really come today? Your ideal day off isn't fighting for the radio silence with Isobel Evans, so…"
"This is the back of my necklace. The word stamped in the silver says Tsela. The necklace is Navajo, so I thought maybe that was the jeweler, but no one I've asked here seems to know who made it. I just want answers."
"Well, there's a ton of silver jewelry for sale here. So why don't we just keep looking for something with the same stamp?"
Tumblr media
Pod Squad sharing a bottle of acetone by Louise's grave.
"Noah said our planet was war-torn. But the hell they found here can't have been worth it."
"Do you think that Louise's baby died from her injuries or do you think maybe it was never going to survive?"
"What are you talking about?"
"I was pregnant. When you died. Obviously I'm not anymore. I just can't help wondering if that was my last chance. Assuming that humans and aliens can't procreate because they're different species. Maybe that little baby wasn't viable."
"You almost died during the abortion, didn't you? I could feel it. Noah almost killed you again, huh? Oh, I need a minute."
After Max leaves Michael offers to be a sperm donor for Isobel if she ever wants to have a kid.
Liz at the Detainment Center
"It's Ortecho. Arturo Ortecho. He's my dad. And he needs gliclazide and beta-blockers. I brought both."
"We can't take contraband here, but there is an infirmary on-site, if he's here."
"You know, out of curiosity, did Nebane Abienwi visit an infirmary before he died of a brain bleed in your custody? What about Johana Medina León? She was 25 years old, okay? People walk through those doors and they die...Who's your supervisor? You need prior approval before conducting enforcement in a hospital. There was a compliance memo."
"Right, a memo, which is just like a law only not. Unless you calm down, I'm gonna arrest you for obstruction."
"Okay, Liz, maybe sit down.  Sir, I'm Deputy Jenna Cameron, and we appreciate your interpretation of your guidelines, but we have an urgent health concern about an inmate here, if you just wouldn't mind checking the system."
Jenna goes with the agent…when she returns...
"Do you have a court case next week for a vandalism charge?"
"What? Yes, but I didn't do it. I'm just gonna plead guilty and pay the fine. It's nothing."
"They denied your dad's green card application because of a misdemeanor on your record. You can't be his sponsor."
Jenna's headaches overtake her. Meanwhile, the ICE agent comes back with news:
"Here just came up. Ortecho is being transferred to El Paso for his deportation hearing. You can see him there around Tuesday."
--Liz's misdemeanor is taking the fall for Rosa's vandalism from when she was arrested by Sheriff Valenti in 2x02.
Gregory takes the Pod Squad to see Harrison who is on his death bed.  Manes boys are always welcome here, the woman tells them. Harrison is the only one Louise ever spoke to on the reservation.
"He met my great uncle Tripp Manes fighting in WWII.  Harry was a code talker."
Michael gets Gregory to leave with him so that Max and Isobel can go inside of Harrison's head. Their conversation:
"You look like her."
"Harrison.  You look different."
"That was a lesson I learned from Louise. How to take your mind to a better time when you're in pain. Come on. I haven't seen the sky in a while. I'll tell you about her...I taught Tripp the codes in the Pacific. That's how we set up the rescue. He was supposed to snuggle Louise and Nora here, but the plan fell apart."
In the past between Harrison and Tripp:
"You've changed. The man I met on that ship obeyed orders."
"Guess I saw what happens when good men fall in line with bad orders. I'm a Christian, Harry. When evil itself tells me to kill a woman with child, I disobey. Even if the evil looks just like my brother."
A nurse rolls Louise into the room in a wheelchair.
"Did you find a family for her?"
"There should be music where you take her. I think she's a dancer."
"You can give her a house full of music, Louise. Nora wanted me to protect you so that you could protect the child."
"No. He's coming for me and I can't even move. No. When the devil comes, I won't be able to fight for her. Please. It is hard to be a woman on your planet.  It's only gonna be harder still for her. Roy Bronson believed in meeting hatred with compassion. And I want her to be like him. A light in the darkness. A little star on the ground. I want that for both my girls."
"Where did he take the baby?"
"Can't say."
"No. Tell us where our sister went."
"She isn't your sister. Louise rarely spoke, but when she did, she spoke of two daughters. Two stars on the ground. She had no sons. You aren't hers. You came from something else...She lived for decades longer than she should have, trapped inside of a body that could no longer dance, waiting for a sign that you would be all right. She loved you."
Jenna wakes up back at the hospital.
"I asked them to run a new test. Your headaches are spinal headaches. Because there was a hole torn into your spinal cord."
"I'm sorry, what? My kidnappers gave me a spinal tap?"
"Do you mind signing off so I can look at your tox screen?"
"Yeah, of course, but, Liz, you don't have to do this, okay? Your dad, and…"
"I need a distraction. I can't leave for El Paso until tomorrow, and they're not letting him have visitors other than his lawyer until Tuesday, so...thank you for being here. You used your privilege to help me. I'm furious that I needed it, but I needed it."
--Reposado is a type of tequila
--Spinal Headaches:
Isobel and Max on what they learned from Harrison:
"You've always been different than me and Michael, okay? Always. You were the leader. From the start. I mean, you're the special one. You're the healer."
"I was. Now I can't even sneeze without my heart skipping a beat. All my life, no matter how weird things got, I never felt alone. Because I was your twin. Maybe I'm different. Maybe I'm a freak...I can't stop thinking about being chained up when I was a kid. It didn't feel like someone bad chained me up. It felt like I was the someone bad."
"Max, you're not dangerous."
"Saving people destroys me. But killing Noah? That felt good. I was high. And whenever I think about what he did to you, I want to chase that high. I wish I could kill him a thousand times. Louise mentioned the devil. Maybe something evil was chasing them. And maybe that something was me."
"Okay. I want to show you something. You see this hand on her shoulder there? See, Michael thought it was just someone who got cropped out of the photo, but no. Any female would recognize that body language. She does not want that hand on her. Louise said the devil would come. I think something evil was after them, but it wasn't you. I want to find out who it was."
Alex and Gregory:
"Hey, I just wanted to say thank you before we go. I also feel like I should congratulate you on getting out."
"Of the Navy?"
"Of the family. Getting out from under Dad."
"You got to break free of him, man."
"Do you feel free?"
"I don't think I get to be free until you are, Alex. You know, you're my brother. I wish that I would've stood up for you more."
"You know, I think he's actually getting a little bit better. It's like the stroke melted away the psycho in his brain or something."
"If you can forgive him you should. Cast off the stone. Let me hate him for you. I owe you that much."
Back at the trading post with the whole road trip group.
"We scoured the store for jewelry that said Tsela on it, but nada. Although I did manage to spend an entire week's worth of tips anyway."
"Tsela?"
"Yeah it was printed on the back of my grandmother's necklace. I thought I might find some answers here."
"Well, apparently, it is Navajo for star on the ground. So, you guys ready to go?"
"Star on the ground.  Maria? What year was your grandmother born?"
"Uh, '48, I think?"
"Was she adopted?"
"Yeah. Oh my God."
"Your grandmother was my sister."
Note: The direct translation of Tsela is stars lying down. Interestingly, it's often a name in Navajo. When I googled it, the top results were names for Navajo boys.
Diego and Liz's conversation:
"Diego, I never would have reached out if it weren't an emergency. Thank your mom for me."
"The Senator was more than happy to call in a favor. She's always liked you."
"I like her too. We need more people like her."
"Look, we got lucky your dad got out at all, much less without an ankle monitor. And you pissed a few people off back there, so it's not likely that this is the end for you. Who's your lawyer? Or should I make some calls?"
"No, you've done enough. After what I did, I can't even believe you listened to my voicemail...How did you get here so fast?"
"I was at the airport in Phoenix when you called. Just had to reroute real fast."
"And how have you been?"
"Well, my fiancée left me. I'm kidding. No, I'm seeing someone.  It's getting pretty serious, so…"
"Good. Me too."
"Good. We can be friends...And don't take this the wrong way. Please tell me you're not wasting that incredible brain of yours writing alien hamburger puns."
"I am working on a few projects. Nothing I can talk about, but, I'm not wasting anything."
"Well, all the coolest studies make you sign NDAs anyway, so…"
"You know what? There actually is something...Do you know what butyricol is?  Worth a shot. It's this chemical I found in my friend's tox screen. I had never heard of it."
"Maybe you're slacking, Ortecho."
"I am sorry, it has only been a year. Did you literally forget everything about me?"
Note: I'm very pleased to say that when I googled butyricol, half of the top results were RNM related.  Definitely not a real drug.
Malex fight in the bunker:
"We're closed!"
"Hey, that alien console piece that Jim Valenti left me...You still have it?"
"No. I sold it on eBay."
"You didn't attach it to your console."
"I tried. Doesn't fit."
"So, Tripp left this for my dad before he died. My dad thought it was a code, but this is a reference sketch of this exact piece. My dad's been looking for this thing for 30 years and Jim Valenti had it all along...I'm gonna give it to him. I want to see what he does with it once he's got it. Look, if it didn't fit in your console, then it fits somewhere else. My dad could lead us there.""Your dad hunts aliens, Alex. He'll lead my family right off a cliff."
"I've protected you so far. That's not changing. Besides, he's different these days...I don't trust him, Guerin. I just…I'm asking you to trust me.""When we were kids, you believed people were good, despite humanity doing everything to prove you otherwise. And, God, I loved you for it. But what was charming when we were 17, it's just stupid now. How do you not see that? You believe there's some good in your father?"
"Yeah. Yeah I do. God forbid I have faith in people who don't give me a good reason to."
"That's not fair."
"No? Why is your hand covered? You miss your injury because you want to hurt. Your anger made you feel safe. I will always hate my father for what he did to you, but I don't want to live in that toolshed for the rest of my life. I don't want to walk around thinking that people don't change, that one day everyone's just gonna let me down, 'cause I am not building a damn rocket ship in a hidden lair. There's one way for me off this planet. And I need to believe in a reason to stay. I promise I'll keep you safe."
"Can't let you leave with that."
"What are you gonna do? Fight me for it?"
And then Alex leaves and is kidnapped. Hit over the head by an unknown assailant. The note from Tripp blows away.
Max and Liz are talking back at Max's house while Max drinks a lot of bourbon.
"You know, you never told me why your parents immigrated here in the first place."
"My dad wanted a family, but not in Juárez. There was no opportunity, no money. Women were disappearing there all the time. He didn't want my mom to be one of them. So he fled. You're wondering why your family came here."
"If I even had a family. I know so little about my own story. And the parts I thought I understood are just unraveling."
"Max. Family is the one area where I am certain that biology does not matter. Look, when I found out that Rosa was only my half sister that didn't change anything."
"This is different...There are only three of us on this planet, as far as we know. I mean, feeling disconnected from them makes me feel completely alone."
"Completely alone? I'm right here."
"When you needed a rescue today your Mensa society, old money son of a senator ex was there to answer your prayers. I couldn't even answer a call. You didn't need me."
"Oh my God. Okay, so would you prefer that I did need you? Would you prefer to come home to find me crying into my dad's windbreaker so that you can swoop me up and drive me to El Paso for his deportation hearing in the morning?"
"That's not fair. You wanted me to talk about today."
"Yes, okay. I'm sorry. I want you to feel better."
"Well, you think maybe you could go back in time and not meet someone as handsome as Diego? Seriously. He's like if someone mixed a cologne ad with a Kennedy. It's ridiculous. I will never feel adequate again."
"You're wrong. Max, let me be clear. You are objectively better in bed...And I never woke up on a Sunday morning to him singing Hank Williams in the shower...He never snuck unreasonable tips into my dad's checks. Or quoted Henry the Fourth. Coming home to you at the end of my worst days and my best days is the only rescue I need."
I actually found this background on the Ortechos to be fascinating.  In case you don't know Juárez is a pretty big city directly opposite the border from El Paso. It does have some huge crime issues. But it also is one of those border cities where the border is a little thinner. Like San Diego and Tijuana.  People live in Juárez and work in El Paso and vice versa.
If you want to see a really dark & gritty portrayal of Juárez, I'd highly recommend you to check out the American version of the show The Bridge.  Which literally deals with an investigation related to disappearing women.
Isobel and Maria at the Pony:
"She looks so determined."
"Yeah, neither of us would be here if she hadn't been. You know she was paralyzed 50 years and she still managed to use her powers to help ease troubled minds. You know how hard that is? To take on someone else's suffering? I mean, it doesn't just disappear. She would have been carrying all of that."
"She suffered so much loss."
"I don't know how to be worth it."
Michael on the bracelet.
"The beads are made with pollen from the alien flower. I found another plant growing at Louise's grave. Okay my working theory is that they grow from alien remains. There's this UFO lore about that Libyan desert where the flowers have been discovered before. You don't have to wear it if you don't want to. I know better than to think I can save Maria DeLuca. I hope you decide you can save yourself."
Max is still drinking after Liz went to bed.  At 4:04am Diego calls and wakes her up.
"I made a call, about that toxin in your friend's system. Butyricol. It's a drug. It's a memory eraser. It was developed by a private organization and purchased by the military for weaponization. There's no approved application outside of violent combat."
Liz tries to call Alex, but he's too busy being unconscious in the back of his SUV.  So his kidnapper pockets his phone.
Max has a memory flash. There's fighting, weapons clashing, a woman's voice...all while he's chained down in the cave. Louise appears and kneels down to touch his shoulder.  He looks afraid, but she's trying to comfort him (even though she has blood splattered all over her white clothes). She smiles and nods and then cuts Max free of the chains with her alien weapon. She offers him her hand, but before he can take it a figure in white appears and he and Louise fight. Max cries out and hides his face.
Present day Max is visibly shook by the flash.

The main Star Wars story should have 21 movies, divided into 7 trilogies.
“For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire.”
Star Wars is a story about how a good, working system (or dare I say a utopia) falls into evil, and then how the good is being restored. But the problem is: In the prequels the Republic is already fucked up and at the end of the Sequels we cannot be certain that the good times have been restored. So, here is my Star Wars plan. (Take note, between every trilogy there should be 20-30 years passing in universe, so that I new generation becomes the protagonists every time.)
Episode I-III: The Galactic Republic is working. A crisis happens that challenges it. But the Jedi can resolve the crisis and restore the good status quo.
Episode IV-VI: A crisis happens again. The Jedi can mostly restore the status quo, but fractures remain. The Republic makes a decision that will lead to it’s downfall. (This could be the “First Clone War”)
Episode VII-IX: The Republic falls and the Galactic Empire forms. In this trilogy the Jedi get one last chance to turn it around, but don’t manage it. (This could be the “Second Clone War”, so we have more than one of them. This trilogy tells a similar story to the prequels.)
Episode X-XII: The lowest point but also the turning point. The Empire reigns supreme, but the Rebellion wins the decisive victory and the Galaxy takes it first step towards redemption. A redemption that is mirrored in the redemption of Anakin Skywalker. (Mostly the story of the Original Trilogy.)
Episode XIII-XV: The Rebellion defeats the Galactic Empire and forms the New Republic.
Episodes XVI-XVIII: A crisis erupts in the New Republic. This Crisis is caused by some legacy of the time of the Empire. The Jedi manage to deal with this crisis by confronting one of the remaining injustices.
Episodes XIX-XXI: A crisis happens, but it is unrelated to the legacy of the Empire. This is to show that the Republic and the Jedi have regained the ability to completely solve problems and disputes.
Let’s say we film this all in order, let actors age naturally. Say between each trilogy 25 years pass on average and each trilogy takes around 5 years to film. That means we could make a complete Star Wars cycle from start to finish in 210 years. Disney, please hire me!

Focus on providing restorative and performance based medical treatment. Combine experience with the latest medical advancements in men‘s sexual health. Problem solving is what we do, and it's what we are good at. Treat patients as individuals; we don't believe in one size fits all programs. With 40 years of experience in sexual health, you can rest assured you've found the right men's clinic.
While other men’s clinics tend to make a joke about these issues, we take a more professional approach. When it comes to sexual performance, low testosterone, and other men’s issues; we believe that respect for our patients is paramount. Men already battle a society attempting to shame and guilt them for these issues. At Men’s Clinic of Nashville, we have worked hard to create an environment you’ll feel comfort resolving these issues.
We also believe a person should practice what they preach. The owners, doctors and staff, utilize the very same therapies our patients do. We have had the opportunity to have our own lives changed by these very same therapies. It has become a passion of ours to create positive change and growth in the lives of our patients.
What therapies does Men’s Clinic of Nashville offer? Traditional testosterone therapy, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, PRP (platelet rich plasma), Wave Therapy, erectile dysfunction medications, and premature ejaculation medications/therapies.
Traditional testosterone therapy is made up of specially compounded testosterone cypioate in grape-seed oil. We have our testosterone compounded this way to maximize absorption. Patients undergo a comprehensive consultation that includes bloodwork. One of our Physcians will then work with you to customize a weekly plan, inclusive of testosterone injections.
Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy is exactly that; its biologically identical hormones, mirroring what our bodies produce naturally. This comes in the form of specially compounded pellets, smaller in size than a tic-tac. This therapy lasts between 3-6 months. Patients report feeling more energetic, better sleep, waking up feeling rested, focus throughout the day, fuller/firmer erections, increased sex drive, and feelings of happiness. This is the very best hormone replacement treatment available today.
PRP (platelet rich plasma), is the cutting edge procedure that utilizes platelet rich plasma for regenerative cellular growth. PRP can increase penile girth and length by up to 20%.
Wave therapy uses sound waves to help enhance blood flow, encourage tissue and vascular growth.
Erectile dysfunction medications are compounded for both daily and episodic use. We prescribe and dispense for patients right here in the office. In addition to ED medications, we have formulations and therapies for premature ejaculation.
For all our compounding needs, we have partnered with the top compounding pharmacy in the country. All patients receive customized programs, with specific compounding for individualized success. We believe in customizing each approach, rather than a one size fits all approach.

Gauging Beth’s Template by Slabtown Clocks
Okay, sticking with the clock theme again. 😉 A Nonny asked me several weeks ago to do updates on the clocks. I talked about a few thing HERE a few days ago. And @frangipanilove did an amazing meta about them HERE.
As per usual, creds to @wdway for all of her great information, insights, and connections. It’s all I can do to keep up and type everything up.
I wanted to put this out here because, like what I talked about yesterday (everything pointing to S10) I think this is important.
Tumblr media
@wdway studied the 10:10 clock on Beth's wall at Grady. Naturally, when you have a clock that reads 10:10, the hands point to the 10 and the 2. Which is why we've never been sure whether we should read that as episode 10x02 or 10x10.
As I mentioned yesterday, the clock in Still reads a different time, 2:52, but really doesn't look all that different from the 10:10 clock. The hands the opposite, but are also basically in the same position. That's important.
Tumblr media
So let's assume, just for the sake of the hypothetical, the 10:10 clock points to episode 10x02. We can assume that if that's the case, 10x02 might be a Beth heavy episode. We don't know if we’ll see her there, or if it will be heavy on Beth symbolism, but either way, it should be important.
But think about what I just said above. The 10:10 and the 2:52 clock are the same, but opposite. So, what's the opposite of 10x02? That would be 2x10. And what episode was 2x10? It was 18 Miles Out, which is the episode were Beth attempted suicide.
Tumblr media
So @wdway made this amazing observation. She pointed out that in 2x10, 18 Miles Out, the major storyline was about Rick, while the subplot was about Beth.
Of course there are other players involved (Shane, Maggie, Andrea) but we had Rick, the leader and sheriff as the main plot and they chose Beth, this small character no one cared much about at the time, who seemed like an insignificant farm girl, as the subplot.
Fast forward to Coda. We’ve talked before about how, if you watch closely, Coda obviously concerns Beth in a big way, but it’s really shown from Rick's point of view. It's really all about Rick and the decisions he made (such as killing Evil Officer Bob) that led to the prisoner exchange in the hallway and ultimate to Beth getting shot.
Tumblr media
So once again, we had Rick as the major story line in that episode, and Beth as the minor one. I think you could argue, given that she was shot in that episode and what a big deal it was, that it's about 50-50. 50% about Rick and 50% about Beth.
So, we’re thinking the opposite may be true in 10x02. (Or possibly 10x10 if we’re not reading that correctly). The story line will be partly about Rick and partly about Beth, but it would make the most sense if Beth had the dominant story line this time.
I would also like to submit that if my theory about Jadis taking Rick wherever Beth is turns out to be true, this works even more. The story lines will have flip-flopped and Beth being the new sheriff in town will make that much more sense.
Tumblr media
Consider the opening credits we saw from S5 to S8. The first thing we saw was the Beth flash of course, and then there was Rick's title card, which included the red machete. Especially if Legs turns out to Beth, which I think it will, we have ties between Beth, Rick, and the red machete.
Tumblr media
And what do we see at the end of that opening credit sequence? The walker int eh field image that originally came 18 miles out. So, it suggests that Rick and Beth’s stories will be not only entwined and mirrored but possibly even transposed.
Tumblr media
Another connection: @wdway also looked at the numbers here on the hospital board behind Dawn. I won’t go through all of them today—I’ll try to get some of her observations about them posted at a later date—but look specifically at the bottom line which reads 210 to 250. If, once again we take the 210 to mean episode 2x10, or 18 Miles Out, then what would 250 mean?
Tumblr media
On a clock, the time 2:50 would mean the hands point to the 10 and the 2. But the time is sort of opposite of 2:10. We have yet another representation of this clock, which seems to point back to 2x10, almost as a starting point and forward to 10x02 as an ending point with Grady being the hinge in the center.
I wanted to post this because it's a great connection, a great way to see the template of the story, and something we really couldn't have figured out until we accepted that Beth might not be returning until season 10. Thoughts?

the thing here is also that. 201-205 are mirrors of 305-310 in the way they are structured in relation to a return to the past, begin with a new union between two forces, and of course are concluded by episodes directed by the same person which layer a plot twist through a flashback sequence. and 409 is a mirror of 310 in its narrative structure of flashbacks & plot twists which makes it also mirror of 205. and 310 is also a mirror of 210 and 108 in the fact that it's an explosive finale episode with lots of action. 410 has decent action but 409 is more similar to 310 and 210 and 108 which also makes narrative sense because each finale in black sails is really more of a beginning than an end. The Urca Gold is waiting to be recovered. Despite the way s2 reflects the Iliad, the events at the end of 210 mirror the beginning of the Aeneid, which is set after the Iliad, more than they mirror the ending of the Iliad. 310- a new story for Nassau. 108 and 210 and 310 are beginnings as much as they are endings. so of course 409 is what parallels the other finales, not 410, because 410 isn't a beginning because it's the end of everything

from a storytelling standpoint the 4x10 finale is genius really because from the previous three finales you're expecting an epic fight scene. like a city getting blown up or an epic plot-twist battle for nassau. but instead the war ends quietly. even so, it doesn't feel anticlimatic.

Understanding the Masters of Sex Timeline
Tumblr media
As much as I love Masters of Sex, the timeline of the show has really bothered me, which is unfortunate, because I am a stickler for timelines within TV shows.  It has become somewhat of an obsession.  Masters of Sex has, on the surface, one of the most confusing timelines in the history of TV.
For those wondering what the full timeline of Masters of Sex looks like (or what the fairest assessment of the Masters of Sex taking into account how long characters say it’s been since the last episode, events going on around the time, and when title cards reveal the date or the date is just plainly given), I have attempted to clarify the Masters of Sex timeline.
(And I do give credit to @examroom5 for their original timeline post and their take on the timeline, which was the inspiration for this post and was very helpful).
This gets long, so click after the bump if you dare…
SEASON 1: 1956 - 1957
101 - Pilot: The date is specifically revealed to be October 1956.  The events of this episode apparently span a month or two, however, so I would say October 1956 - January 1957.
102 - Race to Space: Begins the Monday after the pilot ended, so it must still be January 1957.
103 - Standard Deviation: Title card reveals it to be February 1957.
104 - Thank You for Coming: This is when the timeline of the show begins to lose all credibility.  Libby is five months pregnant, so if she was conceived in February, that would date the episode to July 1957.  However, taking into account what goes on later in the season, we’re going to just assume that this episode is set about a month later and that 103 just took place in EARLY February and that everyone’s lying about how pregnant Libby is and Libby looks more pregnant than she actually is. So, March 1957 it is.
The other way you could look at this is that episodes 101 - 103 all took place in October 1956, so Libby could be four months pregnant in February/March 1957 and the rest of the season one timeline would make sense.
105 - Catherine: Ethan claims that Libby is 24 weeks pregnant at this point, but Ethan Haas has proven himself to be a pathological liar in early season one, so there’s a good chance he lied about that too.  (Yeah, it’s a big stretch. What I’m trying to say is that there’s no way Libby is 24 weeks pregnant). It’s still March 1957.
106 - Brave New World: About a week or two after the miscarriage.  Still March 1957.
107 - All Together Now: No real explanation given as to how long after 106 this takes place, so let’s just assume a day or two.  March 1957.
108 - Love and Marriage: Austin’s wife says it’s March, so, finally it makes sense that the last five episodes would take place within March.  But the real reason the last five episode would’ve taken place in March is because Libby is pregnant in this episode, and the proper time must be given for a full pregnancy. Also, in 110, Austin being paired with a girl in the study was referred to as being in March, so it appears that they did think out the timeline after all.  How strange.  March 1957.
109 - Involuntary: No real date given as to how long after 108 this takes place, but considering their break up still seems fresh in 110, it must have not taken long before that, so I’d say May 1957.
110 - Fallout: Flora Banks was partnered with Austin when Austin wanted back in the study in 108, which was said to be March “three months ago”.  We’re in June 1957 now.
111 - Phallic Victories: It apparently takes place the same month as 112, so we’re going to say October 1957. (Logic in next explanation).
112 - Manhigh: In 207, it’s October 1958, and it’s Johnny’s one year birthday, so Johnny was born in October 1957.  Yeah, the whole Manhigh thing was August 1957, and I think the writers intended that to be the case because they refer to the study being on the 19th and Manhigh was on August 19th, but for the purposes of this episode, it was the 19th of October 1957.  Also, if Libby’s conception was in March, a birth in October would be more believable than one in August.  If you want to get really specific, October 19 - 20, 1957.
SEASON 2: 1957 - 1961
201 - Parallax: The script for this episode claimed the main action of this episode was set three weeks after 112.  And, okay, but considering how much goes on this episode, it would make sense if it takes place over a few months, and it also makes sense taking into account that Bill worked at Memorial for only a month.  That would set us to November 1957 - February 1958.
202 - Kyrie Eleison: Apparently it takes place the day after Parallax ended, so we must be in February 1958.
203 - Fight: The actual boxing match was set in December 1958, but considering 207 begins in October 1958, there’s no way that’s happening.  And considering the date of the Manhigh expedition was changed, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that this one was changed by the matter of months too.  We should be in February/March 1958.
204 - Dirty Jobs: Masters was said in 206 to have worked at Memorial a month, so that would mean we’re now in March 1958, and let’s assume there’s about a few week time jump between when he interviews at Buell Green’s.
205 - Giants: At this point, we should be in April 1958, not long after 204.
206 - Blackbird: Set five months before 207, which began in October 1958, so we’re definitely in May 1958 now.
207 - Asterion: Dates are specifically revealed in this episode, god bless them. October 15, 1958.  September 2, 1959.  October 11, 1960.
208 - Mirror, Mirror: Still October 1960.
209 - Story of My Life: Still October 1960.
210 - Below the Belt: Still October 1960.
211 - One for the Money, Two for the Show: Martin Luther King was arrested in Atlanta on October 19th, so that would mean this episode is set on October 20th, but there’s no way only nine days have elapsed between 207 and this episode.  We’re definitely in October 1960 (the clapboard proved it), but we’re probably later in October.  Around the 30th or so.  (Clark Gable’s heart attack was in November, but it supposedly is still around the 1960 debates, so I’ll let that slide…)
212 - The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: The whole episode is set in the week of JFKs inauguration, so it’s January 17ish - 20, 1961.
SEASON 3: 1965 - 1968
301 - Parliament of Owls: The press conference is October 1965, and the Summer vacation should be in June 1965.
302 - Three’s a Crowd: The episode begins where we left off in October 1965.  Then the next time jump (the first meeting with the Shah) is set on November 12, 1965 (”the second Friday of next month”).  Then for the rest of the episode, it should take place in early 1966, with the book being released in April 1966.
303 - The Excitement of Release: Apparently it’s eight weeks after 302, so it should be June, but Bill makes a jab that hell isn’t worse than St Louis in August, so it could be August?  School is open in parts of the US in August, so it would make sense with Tessa going to the homecoming dance.  Let’s just settle on July 1966.
304 - Undue Influence: 303 and 305 take place within a span of two weeks, so 304 is sandwiched in the middle. It should still be July/August 1966.
305 - Matters of Gravity: Two weeks after 303.  They should be in August 1966 at this point.
306 - Two Scents: “A few weeks” after 305.  Definitely August/September 1966.
307 - Monkey Business: THIS episode is where things get hectic.  Now, Helen’s conception in 308 must be nine months before 406, which is set in the Summer of 1969 (so she must have been impregnated in September 1968).  And since 306 left off in 1966, we’re in a bit of a predicament, we must get from Sept 1966 to Sept 1968.  The good thing, though, is that there isn’t any mention of how long after 306 this episode takes place, and now mention in 308 on how long after this episode that one takes place.  And considering a lot of people dislike this episode anyway, let’s just slap on another reason to dislike this episode.  Sometime between September 1966 and September 1968 (but the events of 306 seem to be a little more fresh in this episode so closer to 1966 than 1968).
308 - Surrogates: As I said, nine months before Helen’s birth in Summer 1969, so we’re in September 1968.
309 - High Anxiety: Two months after 308, so we’re in November 1968.  However, Joy’s tombstone does say she died in 1966 when she was still alive in episode 308, but let’s just assume Paul got into some Larry David-esque altercation with the tombstone engraver.
310 - Through a Glass, Darkly: Tessa’s boyfriend claims that they were dating for five months since they started dating (in 303), but that must be another lie.  It should still be in November 1968.
311 - Party of Four: This episode is two weeks after 310. Late November 1968.
312 - Full Ten Count: The prop store had Virginia’s arrest records, and the date on it was December 3, 1966.  The date on the letter Jane reads from the prop store was dated December 2, 1966, so they intended this episode to be set on December 3rd.  This does work.  The year, on the other hand… so it would not be unreasonable to say this episode was set on December 3, 1968.
SEASON 4: 1968 - 1969
401 - Freefall: 3 to 4 weeks since the end of Season 3.  The episode begins in late December 1968 and goes into January 1969, so technically the season DID begin in 1968.  The only part of this season that doesn’t make sense was the whole “90 sessions in 90 days” thing.  For that we’re going to suspend belief and say Bill went to 90 meetings between January and July. (Or act as if they mean 90 non-consecutive days, which is entirely possible).
402 - Inventory: Within a week of 401.  Also, Louise mentions it’s Winter, so it would make sense still being January 1969.
403 - The Pleasure Protocol: From 403 to 409, there’s a clear amount of time between each episode, so I had to work backwards from 409 (which is definitely set on August 14, 1969).  Luckily, I was even able to narrow down the week for this one.  This one took place around July 5 - 8, 1969.  That would mean there was about a five-month time jump between 402 and 403, which is pretty plausible considering Virginia’s change in hair and there’s no indication how long after 402 this episode took place, other than it being Libby’s first day of work at Herb Spleeb.
404 - Coats or Keys: A week after 403.  Should be around July 13 - 14, 1969.
405 - Outliers: Less than a week separates 404 and 405, as 404 is referred to as “the other night” multiple times.  It should only be a few days later, around July 16 - 18, 1969.
406 - Family Only: “The book was dead a week ago”.  So a week, maybe a little less than a week after 405.  Should be around July 22 - 23, 1969.
407 - In To Me You See: 13 days after the end of 406, so at this point, around August 5 - 6, 1969.
408 - Topeka: Doesn’t say exactly, but it should be a little less than a week after 407.  408 ends the day before 409 begins, so we can safely say this episode is set August 10 - 12, 1969.
409 - Night and Day: Art’s tape reel (and the Woodstock stuff) confirms this episode was definitely set August 13 - 15, 1969.
410 - The Eyes of God: It’s about or a little less than a week after 409.  Should be around August 22 - 23, 1969.
