The Dragon Prince being able to have 7 seasons and now trying to fight for 3 more so they can have 10, culminating in a full saga with 3 arcs that each tell their own stories that come together, is a true miracle

I actually hated that Callum sided with Rayla about Runaan. Y'all, why were they acting as if Runaan didn't assassinate Harrow? Y'know, the king of Katolis and Ezran and Callum's father? As if Runaan's crime was spilling tea on Harrow's robes and not literally killing him.

And, while I don't actually blame Runaan for it (since he was ordered to assassinate Harrow), Ezran was right when he said, "Everything changed the day you killed my father." With the king dead and the only heir to Katolis gone, it was the perfect power vacuum for Viren to seize control, which then led to a whole domino effect of the elves vs. humans + allowing Aaravos to slowly gain power and, later, his freedom. Ntm, when Ezran finally found out he was now king, he was still 10 years old and wasn't even told directly that his father was dead. He just figured it out when Corvus called him "king."

Yet, despite that, Callum and Rayla give Ezran no grace period to actually forgive Runaan. Ezran barely had a day, let alone a week. (I'm not counting however long it took them to arrive at the lodge bcs Ezran had to prioritise his people first.)

I understand it's very sad that Runaan and Ethari were separated for so long... but jfc. Callum and Rayla acted like Runaan was already sentenced to life imprisonment and will never see Ethari again so we gotta free him now, guys! 🥺 At that point, you gotta wonder if they actually believe that Ezran can forgive Runaan or if they themselves think Runaan is forgiveable. It was potentially only one more week of absence after two years of Ethari already thinking Runaan was dead.

One week, compared to the literal years that Ezran will never have his father again. [I'll expand on this in the last point]

It's not like Ezran was even being unreasonable?? Runaan undeniably did kill Katolis's former king and, as their current king, Ezran had both the right (as the wronged party) and his duty to his people to actually address the man who did that?? But, no, it's just too much for Runaan to pay for the crime that he actually committed. Let's just break him out after giving no time for Ezran to understand Runaan's actions or position; said action being killing his father.

BTW, the Banther Lodge is closer to Xadia and the Moonshadow Forest so it's not like they lost any time by travelling there.

TLDR; why the fuck were Callum and Rayla acting like Runaan was being wrongfully imprisoned or that Ethari would die if he didn't get the news of Runaan's survival ASAP?

Side note: absolutely fucking hate the "choosing your love interest over your long time friend" trope so I'm extra salty about Callum's decision. I can't believe he just left his five-years-younger brother, who has to deal with being the king of a destroyed kingdom at 12 years old and who was enraged at meeting their father's assassin, to defend said assassin. Brother of the year award for you, Callum! 🤡

Runaan's "redemption"

I binged the entire season so maybe I'm misremembering it, but did Runaan actually redeem himself to Ezran?

Don't tell me one or two "I'm so sorry" speeches was enough for Ezran to forgive his father's assassin... what in the friendship-is-magic is this?? Especially after Runaan escaped Ezran's imprisonment and then just... never returned for his rightful judgment. It's giving off the vibes of, "he already said sorry. You have to forgive him now!"

Harrow/Pip Soul-swap

I. Swear. To. God. The creators debunked this theory years ago (before we even got S4). They said that the soul-swapping/Harrow secretly being alive would have "lessened the impact of his death."

So ig it just... doesn't matter anymore? "Actually, all your theories were right. Haha, gotcha!"

Either this was a hasty plot twist that they decided to shove in at the last second OR they were scared/upset/mad that people were actually piecing together the clues that they gave us and decided to "debunk" the theory so that we'd stop talking about it and ruin the "plot twist" later.

My guy, if you didn't want us to figure it out, don't give any clues. That would be like putting out a bowl of spaghetti and then getting mad that we guessed that we're having pasta for dinner.
