you know eddie, if he finds out there’s a place called ‘The Dragon Inn’, he’ll be there.
(also the fact that it’s near Gay Village is just a bonus)

cregan's size kink is insaneeeew. ik u mentioned how big he is compared to jace. in all senses. like he just wants to protect u in his big arms and to feel your frame against his. his sweet little girl. this big brutish man of the north and his pretty princess. gods.
HELLOOOOOOOOOO ATLANTA (anon referencing this)
CREGAN SIX E KINN CRHEAN KSIZE KINK
i am chewing at the walls ily ily ily omg okay so. cregan is big. he’s big, burly, and brooding (it’s the stark blood). i just KNOW the size difference between you would drive him crazy. whenever your hand is on his bicep as you walk around, he has to physically stop himself from glancing at it. because if he does, he won’t be able to focus for the rest of the day. your hand is almost hidden by the furs of his cloak, but from what he can see, you aren’t even close to wrapping fully around his bicep. your hands are so small, and he’s so big, muscles thick & honed that are firm under your touch.
he has this innate urge to shield your body with his. like on your way traveling to the wall, you stop at inns for the night, and sometimes, they aren’t in the best places. walking in to see few crooks and people that cling to the walls, looking around them as if expecting to be surprised by something anytime soon. and seeing you, a sweet, pretty thing — wife to lord cregan stark of winterfell walk in quickly grabs their attention. has them smiling, licking their lips & sitting back in their chairs, spreading their legs wide. instead of next to him, cregan has you behind him fully. anyone that wants to think about getting a glimpse of you has to look past the thick wall of muscle in front of you first. he holds your hand tight, using it to pull you & keep you flush against him.
& when you finally get to the wall, it’s freezing. the cold gnaws at your bones in a way you could never fathom until now, but cregans done this dance before. as you stand on the platform that overlooks beyond the wall, cregan sees your shiver. he crowds your space, blocking the wind with himself. he shares his heat with you, and you lean against him. his arms wrap around you, and you’re grateful to have your northman all to yourself.

Special characters, the bad guys -- Zarak the Half-Orc Assassin Thief, Raven the Cleric, Kelek the Magic-User, Zargash the Cleric, Skylla the Magic-User, Fox Fingers the Thief, and Warduke the Fighter (D&D/AD&D toy characters by Tim Truman, Jeff Easley, and Larry Elmore, statted as NPCs in AC1: The Shady Dragon Inn by Carl Smith, TSR, 1983) Since this book gives only BECMI D&D stats it does not use AD&D classes, thus Zarak is described as an assassin but has standard thief abilities.

I think Delphine is so interesting because I've always seen her as a character motivated by fear. When we first meet her, she's the last member of the Blades (at least in Skyrim, excluding Esbern who she believes to be dead) in a small town trying to avoid getting found by the Thalmor. There's a chance that if the prophecy of the Last Dragonborn hadn't come to pass, she could have been the last of her order in the province if she couldn't find someone to pass her knowledge onto. And even then, all her knowledge is secondhand.
Until Kynesgrove, she'd probably never seen a dragon. Her predecessors probably hadn't seen a dragon either. All she'd know is what they taught her - so of course, when she finds out about Paarthurnax, she's going to apply the limited knowledge she has. Historical records, the other dragons roaming Skyrim, all of that will combine with what's been drilled into her head - the Blades are dragonslayers and dragons are the enemy, regardless of if the Dragonborn says otherwise.
As for the Thalmor, there was the constant threat of being caught. She's in her fifties now. While she may still be capable, she's not the same 20-30 year old that fought in the Great War or killed an entire group of assassins after her. If the Thalmor came for her now and cornered her, would she still be able to fight them off? If they decided to raze Riverwood to the ground, could she protect the people she's lived the last few years around? Being caught by the Thalmor could be the end not just for her but anyone who is too close to her, as it's likely they'd be questioned or tortured to see whether they were associated with her (and punished/executed if this was found to be the case, regardless of how true it really was).
So of course, when things go to shit, she connects the Thalmor to the dragons. Is it not the most obvious thing for a scared person in the throes of paranoia? The current enemy and the past enemy combined into one. Yes, Delphine is jumping to conclusions and is also completely wrong. Yes, there's probably some hatred and anger bundled up in there. But at its core, I think Delphine is a character that is very, very afraid and her way of dealing with it is to try and find out why it's happening and how to stop it at all costs.

Memories feature showed me this old art I drew 9 years ago when my household was snowed in and we spent a whole day playing an extremely competitive game of Red Dragon Inn: Hybrid Decks Version. (As you can see, everyone was mad at Gogerki.)

Greetings!
The adventurers have earned a well-deserved rest after all their Winter adventures. They enter the inn, the warmth already returning to their bodies.
There's an atmosphere of happiness and relaxation inside. The many guests are enjoying themselves, eating delicious meals and marveling at the awe-inspiring performance of the bard who's playing tonight.
The heroes take their seats, and soon enough a waiter comes to take their orders. While they wait they enjoy each other's company, discussing their latest exploits.
But when the plate is served, it's not food, but a note. It seems someone wants our heroes dead. They look around, trying to find the threat. But will they be able to find the assassin before it's too late?

Couple things you should know about the form Harn takes, both physically and organizationally. From the start, pretty much, Harn books were arranged into sections that were individually numbered. Basically, you could cut the spines off and arrange the sections alphabetically to create a massive Harn encyclopedia. In the post-HarnMaster era, Columbia started publishing much (but not all) Harn material on heavy stock loose leaf. These…I love them. I love office supplies and binders and color coding and the Harn loose leaf inspires a powerful urge in me to file. But at the same time, there is a high level of chaos in the line from the ’90s on, and I suspect that it is folly to believe filing all the loose leaf would be satisfying or comprehensive. And then what would I do with all the covers and boxes?
Anyway, this is Inns of Harn (2008), a wonderful pile of loose leaf in a folder. Don’t let the shoddy PhotoShop silhouetting the cover turn you away! Inside, the art is great (all by Richard Luschek, who took over art duties for the line from Eric Hotz in the late ‘90s), the floorplans detailed and the layout crisp. Five inns are detailed without any mechanics — a dangerous local dive, a riverside inn, a pilgrim’s respite, a high class haunt and a caravanserai. Each boasts information that makes them easy to use in play and provides a wealth of opportunities for diversion — detailed maps, profiles of staff and possible clientèle, adventure seeds, food for sale and so on. Just enough for them to come alive, not so much that it takes any effort to use them. Perfect little things. I swear, modular stuff like this is so useful and entertaining when done well, I don’t understand why there isn’t more of it laying around the hobby.

Hello, everyone!
Despite the harsh conditions of the desert, people always find ways to make the best of their lives in it.
Take this inn, for example, a nice place where everyone can come to relax and cool themselves. A place where many stories are exchanged and many adventures can start.
Are your players ready to start a new adventure beneath the hot desert sun?
The creature tokens for this map are a Desert Sand Demon, a Fiendish Wererat and a Grotesque Monstrosity. Emerald tier gets the Desert Sand Demon while Diamond tier gets all three. In addition, Sapphire tier gets extra creature token variants.
You can see a preview of all of this week’s Patreon content here.
Thank you very much for taking a look and be sure to check out my Patreon where you can pledge for gridless version, alternate map versions as well as the tokens pertaining to this map.
