I need details on The Silver Bullet Girls and the One Time They Crashed the Plane that Wasn’t Theirs!!

AHHH HI HELENA!!!!! thank you so so much for sending this in! please know the fact that you requested this specific one made me so incredibly happy!!!:D i'll admit, i've had this specific piece half-written for months now and now had a prompt to actually fill it, but just...have not had the time to fill out said prompt, and so this gives me the perfect opportunity to still talk about it haha!!

By far, this is one of my favorite pieces I've written in the past few months because, though unfinished, it focuses on all the dynamics of the Silver Bullets crew - specifically after we've now gotten Annie in the loop after Birdie's traumatizing and tragic passing, Francis (co-pilot of many emotions lol) has finally seemed to come around, and things are going well. Except now, the SB crew is shoved on a plane that is in fact not theirs because Silver Bullets needs repair and of course, it's the one time everything seems to go wrong. And it really appears more of a commentary on the Silver Bullets crew, how they work together and all the antics/back-and-forth they share. And genuinely, just how well they mesh, how Annie and Francis become a leading duo, and how the rest of the crew works to follow that. Overall, my goal is for it to be a fairly entertaining/funny piece, while also highlighting some internal Annie-stuff (monologue, description, thoughts, ya know! the works!) and express that through writing!

"Oh shit." Annie snapped her head towards Francis and found her brown eyes staring darkly at Annie, before shifting to the direction behind Annie's head. Turning quickly, she found not only now were Engines 3 and 4 on fire, but now Engine 1 was ignited with flame.

"Fuck." murmured Annie, before reaching forward and turning off Engine 1, "I'm shutting it down, we're relying on Engine 2 for now."

"And clearly only Engine 2-"

"Francis-"

"We're gonna fall behind the group now," murmured Francis before, calling to the new squadron lead, "Thunderstruck is down to exactly one engine now, over." Francis turned to Annie with a grumble and a scowl.

"Goddamn, I miss Silver Bullets, at least she was fucking. RELIABLE." Francis hollered over the comms.

Mental gymnastics...

I am flipping out. That's all. Just my brain doing cartwheels and whatever those things are called where you flip between those high bars and let go for a breathless second and then grab onto reality again. Or this...

Too much Olympics these past few weeks I guess... anyway.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT! I may or may not mention scenes in detail and their outcomes during these long rambling messy posts beginning with the next sentence.

Before I get into it... kudos to the staff for keeping up with these two and for suffering many extremely anxious moments as Jimin and Jungkook drove themselves through NYC, as Jungkook and then both Jimin and Jungkook rode the motorcycle through traffic, and the few heart stopping moments when JK flipped his kayak over and then they took off down the river alone before staff caught up with them. Not to mention probably looking up the nearest ER/urgent care facility in case Jimin got too dehydrated from his bout with the stomach bug.

Seriously though, their lives and global headlines had to flash before their eyes when JK disappeared underwater under that kayak... so big applause for the staff/production crew for not shitting THEIR pants thirteen times too.

So here are some of my thoughts. I'll begin with the first episode...

Episode 1:

In the opening scene, I'm assuming this is Antoya Korean BBQ restaurant. They were talking about JK's sore throat and that he had to visit a medical facility. Jimin kept on about it. It seemed like JK's "stop babying me" attitude bubbled up a little bit. Let them be them. As you can see, JK adjusted Jimin's beanie so he could see his eyes. They were fine.

Pause and reflect: they didn't know what to expect with this idea of a travel show. The moment above happened on Thursday evening, July 13. Both of them were working. Jimin was still working on his concepts, photos, MV and whatnot, planning to finish everything for Muse in the coming months. Jungkook had a full schedule for promoting Seven which was dropping the next day. He had to get up early for Good Morning America concert in the park.

I'm stating all this for point of reference. Nothing is static. JK was in work mode: he had a performance the next day and also not feeling well himself. Jimin had been on a plane for 14 hours. Just keep these things in mind before jumping to conclusions.

In the next scene (the next day) back at the hotel after JK's done with his performance and when he's packing to go on this trip he's all in and ready to go. Hurry up Jimin!

Jimin asked him how the live performance went. As we know, the GMA live performance was mostly rained out. Before the storm came through, they quickly pre-recorded the performances before it would have been time for the live broadcast and then shut it down. Jungkook had to be driven quickly to the studio to be interviewed to fill the leftover time in the program that more of his live performance would have taken up.

Hearing Jungkook say "this isn't my first rodeo" was never going to be on any bingo card in my lifetime.

I don't know what he was scribbling on that iPad but it looked geometric. He was focused. Maybe it was something for the next week's performance, maybe it was a sketch for music show staging, trying to recreate that flower archway they saw at Antoya the night before? maybe he was doodling in Canva... we don't know.

Me either, Jimin... (this was the first of all the hilarious gems that begin to shower down on us).

They are both known to be perfectionists when it comes to their work. And we know they've also both performed when feeling less than 100% on that stage. Jungkook realized there were circumstances beyond his control and he took it in stride.

FYI, in New York City, they stayed at the Loews Regency on E. 61st Street in Manhattan. It is between Madison Ave. and Park Avenue and not far from Central Park. Swanky. The suite looks like the 2-bedroom "Park Avenue Suite" and runs $2100 a night... gasp. Yes, its the same suite where JK did his live after his rained upon GMA appearance. During this live he mentioned being poked with needles, IV's and shots in the butt as well as teasing us with what would become Are You Sure:

No, I don't think Jimin stayed in this suite with JK. Jimin's room had a smaller bathroom and a shower curtain instead of a glass shower door. Staff with camera woke him up.

To be that beautiful when rolling out of bed... anyway, I digress...

It truly was unplanned and spontaneous as if they were doing this with the idea of "let's try it and see if it can be viable." Even Jimin wasn't sure if any of this could be aired.

Once they got in the Jeep they started to find their groove. Being alone, just them, was what they needed. They could focus on what was ahead of them. The driving moments were some of the best for me.

We eventually learn that Jimin wasn't feeling well and I'm certain this is what Jungkook was telling Yoongi during that episode of Suchwita, along with the elbowing in the nose.

Seems like Jimin's stomach trouble started when they were at the first restaurant, the burger place. The bathroom visits continued at the brewery and into the evening at the campsite.

Jimin had some sort of stomach bug that kept him on the toilet a lot and he ran a little bit of a temp. I am sad that he wasn't feeling 100% when they were on the yacht the next day but he still seemed to enjoy it enough to find the humor in his situation. He was a real trooper.

It sure didn't stop him from eating. My man was very brave in that regard. Me... no way I'd be stuffing my face with a big greasy burger when at any moment I might need to make a run for the toilet.

They get back on the road and these are the moments that I wait for:

After arguing in satoori about who is the worst driver between them, they start shopping at Dick's.

And get recognized...

After shopping excursion at Dick's, they finally head to High Nine Brewery...

Jimin's first sample wasn't to his taste (again). His taste buds were probably a little off since he had the stomach thing going on... but JK's eyebrows say that his sample was pretty good.

They finally settle on a hard seltzer and a pale ale and relax for a little bit. Jungkook is still wondering what would make good subject matter to film. They are truly making it up as they go...

Jimin proceeds to explain and an interaction happens and I am not sure what to think about it:

I am going to end this post here because they are now on their way to the kayaks and that segment deserves its own post and I have too many screen shots of it to fit in this post.

Damien is ofc in charge of cooking and is just in charge in general.

Lasko and Huxley are in charge of prepping.

Freelancer plates the food and serves it.

Gavin is in time out after "ACCIDENTALLY" throwing the food out NUMEROUS TIMES.

When he gets his act together he plates the food.

Damien is popping vessels at Freelancer choosing to help cook instead of plating because "I can do it myself you just worry about getting the orders in!"

Gavin is a troll and sometimes throws the ingredients out on purpose.

Lasko and Huxley are trying to calm everyone down because yes it does in fact get that serious.

Dear walks in and is like wtf.

They are appointed to chef.

Freelancer is offended.

They argue about it.

Nothing changes.

They try to go to a new area and it says "you need 1 more star" and Damien is aggressively like : WHERE?

If they miss one star, they will get a five minute rant from Damien.

To quote that one video I saw on instagram:

Damien fr: We can't keep fucking up these orders.

The rest of the crew refer to Damien and Dear as Chef. Damien and Dear take it very seriously.

Tables have been broken, things have been lit on fire. But other than that it is very fun! :D

I think it’s interesting how as time goes on Zoro kind of becomes more and more like mihawk in some ways whether that’s just because if you spend time with someone for 2 years you’re bound to pick up their habits or a deliberate attempt to emulate him is a conversation for another time. And Mihawk and Zoro where already pretty similar at the start so it’s a little hard to notice now.

But yeah whether unconsciously or consciously Zoro is becoming a bit more like Mihawk and it’s interesting to think that while this means maturing in some ways (he’s swordsmanship for one but he’s also just quieter much more assured of himself) it also means deaging in some others.

Despite their significant age gap and general dispositions, when it comes down to it Zoro is just a lot more emotionally mature and developed than Mihawk is. And a big part of why is because he found something larger than himself to devote his life too, hell Mihawk himself even kind of acknowledges this when he agrees to take Zoro on as a student when Zoro begs for the sake of his captain and crew. He acknowledges that putting aside his own ego and dreams for the sake of someone else isn’t something he can do and sees it as a fault in himself and a strength in Zoro.

Mihawk may be outwardly mature and his skills defiently did not stagnant but I’d wager that Mentally Mihawk is still stuck at the same age he was when he took over the title of world’s strongest swordsman. Honestly maybe even younger. And it isn’t until training Zoro, letting Perona stay with him, for probably the first time in his life taking charge of lives outside his own did he finally unarrest his development.

If Zoro is purposely trying to emulate Hawkeyes, which it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was that’s who he’s trying to be Afterall, then it would honestly set him back emotionally because fundamentally as he is now Mihawk’s attitude doesn’t work in a crew. It’s too singular, too abrasive. And while that abrasiveness can be useful in Zoro’s role as Luffy’s first mate sometimes it makes him a little too callous a little too apathetic, like with his disregard for Luffy’s sadness over vegapunk.

But Zoro has his crew to temper that, they are honestly just too ridiculous to ever stay serious around. And try as he might to hide it Zoro is also just a silly dude who likes to be horrifically petty with his opponents. And zoro still has so much fire in him, so much he has too prove and so much he wants to protect to ever really fall into Mihawk’s apathy. Zoro has Luffy who even after they reach their dreams will probably still continue to turn the world upside down forever keeping Zoro in some kind of trouble and his life interesting.

Zoro can’t be Mihawk because even Mihawk can’t be Mihawk anymore. Being with crossguild and crossing with the Red hair pirates and the strawhats is going to change him, it has too. if Mihawk is going to live after losing his title he’s probably gonna have to become a little bit more like Zoro.

I'm kinda maybe a little bit sick of people downplaying and somewhat babying Lasko and labelling and treating him as innocent and pure just because he has problems interacting with people / has a stuttering problem. He's one of the VERY few "submissive" characters from any media I've seen that the creator(s)/writer(s) doesn't make their "shy" and "timid" exterior his entire bit and to dictate his overall character is represented.

Sandy angst - becoming violent/blackout rage. Causing harm
