Sonic and Shadow: somewhat, they're twins.

Even before Shadow was a concept, Sonic's past was the most mysterious one. We knew about tails past, Amy past and Knuckles past. But about Sonic we only knew his personality, that he fought Eggman and that liked to run.

One of first attempt to give Sonic a past was in Fleetway comics...

Human father and scientist... bigh moustache, somewhat slim... Gerard vibes. Sonic himself, like Shadow is somewhat enginered. And like Shadow Sonic is going to lose his father.

Not far different, even more similar to Shadow past. Longclaw is Sonic's adoptive howl mother and a female figure. And like Maria she is the supporting figure to the little one. Both Maria and Longclaw sacrificed theirselves to save their adoptive brother/son. Both Sonic and Shadow saw their loved ones getting hurt but they didn't see them actually die, they just figured out.

Now, I don't know if this is a rumor of if this was a scrapped idea, but I've read a theory about that originally SA2 would have explored Shadow AND Sonic past, hinting they were actual brothers and not just two identical hedgehogs. Thinking about this, Shadow's original personality had some traits that are also part of Sonic's: exicted by speed, playful and mischievous and even uses some Sonic's catchprhases (no problem, piece of cake with his iconic quiet voice), though they were toned down by his way calmer nature.

Anyway, in Sonic movie Shadow's past will be the one we know and Sonic in the movie had a very similar past. It would be interesting to see how this will work.

Is like they truly wanted Sonic anc Shadow being twins (like Mario and Luigi) but they didn't wanted to mess to much with the lore and wanted to avoid to retcon. Also because here and there they insist on underline Sonic and Shadow likeness, showing characters around them confused, switching their names and so on...

Sowas fällt einfach auf und ich achte weiter drauf. Dass TR am Ende der ersten 4 Filme die positive Version ihres Catchprhases sagt, weil alles ein Happy End genommen hat und sie sich wohl fühlen.

Sie sagen es nicht nur, sie rufen es und die Kamera geht dann zurück und das ist dann der letzte Dialog der jeweiligen Filme. Eigentlich ziemlich interessant sowas

back to that kid who controlled his parents, he had this whole catchprhase "i'll show you [insert thing here]" and there was this scene where he kept saying it to this bully and th ebully was confused like "kid...thats not a good insult....it doesnt even work" and that was funny

Kiribaku Domestic Headcanons

Katsuki isn’t good with kids, so Eijiro usually is sent in when the kids are having problems and need someone to talk to. Eijiro is good at gently encouraging them to keep trying or to try and find the positive in a situation. Katsuki is in charge of discipline. Eijiro came from a very affectionate family and is a big ol’ softie, so Katsuki always steps in to dish out punishments. Needless to say, Eijiro is the “fun dad”.

Katsuki however is very hands-off when it comes to safety and thinks kids should get scrapes and cuts as part of learning how to take care of themselves. It builds character and teaches them an important lesson. As such, Katsuki is always the one to advocate in favor of letting the kids try something, so he’s the one to let them go on roller coasters, set off fireworks (with supervision of course) and watch PG-13 and R rated movies, making Katsuki the “cool dad”.

Grandma Mitsuki is the go-to babysitter, since she knows how to handle a Bakugou child. She charges them for her services, and she only does it so long as Katsuki says please and thank-you and doesn’t refer to her as a hag.

“Don’t tell Daddy” has become Eijiro’s unofficial catchprhase.

Katsuki usually finds out anyway. The kids are as good at keeping secrets as their Papa.

Their eldest is their daughter Itsuki, whose quirk is Spike Cannon. She can harden the sweat in her pores to use them to keep foes at bay, break them off and use them as a tool or weapon, shoot them into the ground like metabushi spikes, or fire them from any pore on her body (where skin is visible) at long range like bullets. She takes more after Katsuki, being very aggressive and moody, but like her papa, has a healthy love for competition. She frequently challenges Katsuki to stupid competitions like who can eat more raw egg yolks in 3 minutes. They keep score and the one with the most points at the end of the year gets a trophy. Katsuki is very proud of her, and though he knows better than to play favorites, she’s very much Daddy’s Little Girl. She inherited Eijiro’s black hair, but got the Bakugou family signature puffball.

Their second child is their son, Kagarou, whose quirk is Radiance. He’s capable of coating his body in a hard layer of sweat that can act like armor, and when his body comes into contact which causes friction, it creates flashes of light. He’s a bit goofier like their Papa, and he’s always been a tad jealous of his sister’s much flashier and more impressive quirk. He’s very friendly and helpful, though when his friends are in danger, a much more violent and aggressive side of him comes out to play. His hair is pale blonde like Katsuki, but stylistically resembles Eijiro’s more.

Katsuki and Eijiro agreed to divide up the household chores. Katsuki is in charge of cooking, changing diapers, taking out the trash, and scrubbing the toilet. Eijiro is in charge of laundry, dishes, sweeping/vacuuming, and making the bed.

You better believe Bakugou brings a video camera to every single event his children are in. His children are the best, and their rise to glory needs to be documented. (*Translator’s Note: He’s sentimental and loves his kids to death but he’s too proud to just say it)

When Itsuki starts dating, Katsuki is all over the intimidating dad routine. He glares at them while Itsuki finishes getting ready upstairs. If the boy manages not to lose their cool, they earn his respect. If they start to squirm, he reports back to the general (Itsuki). This often ends in the termination of plans. They laugh about it like it’s some secret mission they’re on to find a guy with enough balls to handle the Bakugou family.
