Thinking how in several moments in s1 of Makevolent you can hear John detaching and getting into more of the eldritch god and mind mode (like that time they found the name King in Yellow for the first time, being probably the most dramatic one and first time it happend that much) but the Arthur pulls him back by calling him by a name he chose for himself (John) and bc he needs him
Like you can hear in John's voice getting more ominous and like he withdraws into himself. Like some words trigger his memory and the bits and pieces of the King push themselves back into his mind but Arthur still manages to knock him back to pull him back from it. This single human versus endlessly old and powerful awareness leaking into its missing splinter that decided to call itself John
Thinking about their fight over killing the widow. Arthur understandably did it as self defence and from his perspective, he wanted to belive so badly he is better than falling for a cult like the widow. John being shocked by it, especially since Arthur tends to be more understanding and kind, after seeing the images and humanity of the widow. Being torn between feeling for this humanity, connecting to all of it for the first tike, and the endless force of indifferent cruelty of the King that just tried to press itself into his mind few minutes earlier.
I find it really interesting that it was John arguing for Arthur to have compassion for her, to see her as a victim (a similar how he did with the wraith but here it is so much more pronounced and towards a being that just tried to kill them).
Also how after their fight when Arthur was navigating without John, he just laughed with such viciousness that is startling in comparison to how he usually talks to Arthur, even while irritated and frustrated. That laugh reminded me more of how King's voice sounds - cold, amused with the being so insignificant that its distress is just amusing. And yet, at the same time, petty in a very human way. Like the edge of that old cruelty bleeding through but still shaped and formed by John's feelings

Summary:
Laios wanted to pinch himself. He'd been wanting Kabru to visit the climbing center for ages. Kabru always said he wanted to give it a try, if only he didn’t have his coursework or his internship or his volunteer meetups or whatever else Kabru had going on in his schedule. Something always seemed to come up, much to Laios’ disappointment.
But Laios’ prayers were answered one day when Kabru had his extracurricular seminar for that weekend canceled. Laios had mentioned he’d be visiting the climbing center and invited him along once again, not expecting anything to come of it, and so had nearly snapped his neck whirling around when Kabru had said, Yeah. Let's do it.
Today was going to be an amazing day.

Laios takes Kabru bouldering.
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Relationships: Kabru/Laios Touden Chapters: 2/2 [Complete] Word Count: ~4k Additional Tags: Fluff, Humor, Light Angst, Established Relationship, Alternate Universe - Modern Setting
Chapter 2
Laios had just finished hulling the last of the strawberries when he heard a faint noise coming from the back of the apartment. Looks like Kabru had finally gotten out of bed; a late start even by Kabru standards. Laios had already been pondering over what he should do for lunch when he'd heard Kabru shifting around in their bedroom.
Adding the strawberries into the blender, Laios had only just begun pouring in the almond milk when Kabru, still in his pajamas, came shuffling out of the hallway. A pained scowl pinched his face, his feet shambling forward as if his limbs had been strapped with bricks.
“Morning,” Laios said brightly.
Kabru groaned.
“Sore?” Laios asked.
Kabru nodded.

Random things i think Cybertronians would find adorable about humans~♡ Pt. 2
1. Us getting scared by small things
Humans jumping or screaming at a bug, sudden noise, or a scare prank would probably seem hilarious to the bots, who would be 100% amused by how easily humans can be startled. I bet MANY bots would take advantage of this when there would be a lil human on the lost light. Bots like Whirl, Trailbreaker sometimes Swerve that would like to scare the human despite them telling him not to.
Ya all know the vine video? With guy that goes: "Aaah stoop im gonna drop my criossant."
Yes that XDD
2. Us getting lost even with maps or GPS
I personally have terrible sense of direction and orientation (*p_q*) And some bots catching humans struggle with directions, even with GPS, would be both puzzling and funny to them. They always wonder how humans get lost so easily. But come on give the lialison a break the lost light is fucken HUGE.
3. Getting “hangry”
I mostly get tired when i'm hungry but when im also irritated i become hangry. I think bots would find humans getting irritable when they’re hungry both funny and perplexing to them who might see it as an amusing “malfunction” due to our a basic need.
4. Human body “glitches”
Hiccups, sneezes or random muscle twitches and similar reflexes would be entertaining to the bots, who’d find these involuntary responses both weird and amusingly unpredictable especially when we tell them that we can't control them. Get ready to be friendly bullied for this by some of the bots.
Human sitting over on Swerve's bar counter: *sneezes*
Whirl: What the frag was that sound? A sparkling's war cry?
Human: ( 。ớ︿ờ)
5. Collecting random souvenirs
Humans collecting small souvenirs, like seashells, keychains, or mugs from places they visit, would be amusing to Cybertronians, who might see it as an odd way of marking memories. Since from what i was reading in comics i didn't see any bots do this and i think they would find this pretty adorable. Almost like we materialize memories.
We are all like crows :3
6. Huddling for warmth
When humans instinctively huddle together or bundle up in thick layers when we're cold. Bots would simply find it cute amd definitively have to fight the yrge to just- squish-
Our need to find warmth and the cozy solutions we come up with would seem quaint and endearing (*´˘`*)
7. Gathering in groups for safety
The way we instinctively form groups, especially in unfamiliar or intimidating and scary situations would be both cute and a bit amusing to bots who might see it as humans’ way of finding strength in numbers despite their physical smallness. But we find great comfort in it ( *^艸^*)
8. Soothing or hugging each other in stress
When we instinctively comfort each other with hugs or reassuring words would be adorably puzzling to the bots, who’d find it endearing that humans can find peace in such small, gentle gestures. I bet a bot that is visibly sad would be pretty surprised when the human lialison comes up to them and just hug their servo and ask if they want to talk about it. It personally makes me happy when i can comfort and help someone in need ( 。ớ ᴗờ)
9. Making eye contact to connect
Humans instinctively make eye contact to establish trust or share feelings, which many bots would find very intimate, sincere and honest because it shows how deep the personal nature of human connection can go ( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )
(bots getting lost in human's eyes is one of my guilty pleasures)
10. Fighting for what’s important
We humans naturally stand up for our values, friends, and families, often driven by an instinct to protect or defend what we love. I think bots would find this fierce loyalty and bravery adorably noble for such a small species such as us. I even think that many would take us for an example in this (。>ㅅ<。)
11. Helping others instinctively
Cybertronians would likely find this endearing that humans instinctively help each other out—whether holding open a door, picking up dropped items, or offering support without being asked. This is the very nature that makes us human (*´▽`*)
12. Blushing when embarrassed or flustered
The way our cheeks turn pink or red when we're shy, embarrassed, or flustered would be extremely cute to the bots, who’d see it as a “giveaway” that adds to our vulnerability and the fact that we just can't hide our emotions makes us very emotionaly transparent is just straight up adorable.
13. The way the human brain is so simple
I personaly am very simple human being and i find many stupid and simple things funny and laugh at them. I think because of this many bots would find us very innocent and adorable
(。>▽<。)
AAAAARRRGH there's so many other things i wanna write but i decided to make part two of this bc i enjoy writing this stuff. Dis a good soup :33

01. spiderwocky ── 'spidey' bot
Tumblr media
platonic | spiderverse x spiderman!reader x batfamily | ms. list
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤdisclaimers on masterlist!
index. prologue , chapter one , chapter two , chapter three ... to be continued. based on this
Tumblr media
“there are more advisable ways to source materials, (name),” a robotic voice ushers in your ear, “i could run a route for the nearest hardware store, safe enough for you to reach”.
you wave her out of your head, murmuring around your breath as you examine the multimeter in your hand. “‘s alright, spidey… they won’t mind me borrowing.”
you’re cooped up behind a large cargo box in the batcave, looking for throwaway tools to use, hoping to be able to fix the sp//dr suit before returning to queens. you’ve known bruce’s tech since you first came around, piecing out the fact he was batman soon after. batman and his batplane, his batmobile, his batgrapple… hell, maybe even a batGPT? he won’t notice if you snatch a little something.
“they’re out, can’t be too bothered to roam out in gotham when there’s perfectly available gizmos here, can i?” you chew on a fruit candy you nicked from the kitchen earlier, it might be damian’s, you’re not sure, “won’t be back till… eleven, tops?”
sp//dr crawls down your arm, her metallic legs causing a pin-prickly sensation, and making you shiver. “rather still, (name), i do not like advocating for such behaviour. what would your father think of you stealing?”
you stiffen for a second, pressing your lips into a thin line. “yeah, what would he?” you manage to scoff, shutting the lid of the box you were scouring through. “run a scan on the tech in here, would you? maybe there’s a micro-comm i can slip out-”
a shooting sensation of anxiety fills you, and you’re suddenly skittering to the nearest wall, sp//dr following close in suit. the water-curtain in the batcave parts to make way for a jet, the engines whirring so, so quietly, you think you’re hallucinating it.
the hatch starts to open, and sp//dr whispers at you to climb up the wall, hide in the dark before you can run off. batman and the littlest robin hop out, their conversation to far away to eavesdrop on… for a regular person.
you narrow your eyes at them. super-hearing isn’t something you’ve experimented with, but you know it’s there, recalling the way your ears nearly exploded the first time your spidey-sense kicked in. maybe if you really concentrate? you squint at them, and the quiet becomes clear.
“perhaps it’s an installment… such work has become very popular as of late.” the little robin says, crossing his arms as batman types away on the long, long keyboard at his computer. “i doubt it,” he replies, his voice always sounds like gravel being rubbed against cement when he puts that cowl on, you think, “witnesses say it ‘showed up out of nowhere’, and the footage glitches out before the structure came in.” the screen in front of them switches to a recording, in black and white, crunchy even with the computer’s high data compatibility.
you don’t stick around, scampering up the wall to the shaft you came in through, quiet as a bug as you stalk out from behind the grandfather clock that decorates the opening. the batman can figure out weird happenings in his city, you just need to be capable enough to help yours.
spider crawls onto your wrist, her metal parts rearranging themselves to turn into a bracelet. her voice hums out from a little blue dot on it, forever monotone. “please now, (name), return to your room without detection, fixing the suit can wait for tomorrow.”
you can’t help but smile a little at her instruction, slipping your new tools into the pockets of your jacket. “maybe it can,” you mutter back, under your breath, swiftly making distance from bruce’s office after you leave it, “but it’s not going to, is it?”
Tumblr media
(name), duke notes glancing at the kid, who seems thoroughly submerged in schoolwork at the dining table, is more quiet that he’s accustomed to.
now- that’s not to say he’s used to (name) at all, having barely spoken to them last year, and missing them the year before that when they went off on some trip over the summer.
but it had been impossible to ignore the atmosphere of supreme awkwardness that followed the kid like a ghost, when they shifted on their heels, wanting to ask dick if they could hang out, or tim if he could look at some “cool question” they got as homework. now, that awkwardness had just been replaced with something… quiet. something still, and simpler. it was a drastic change, making him purse his lips into a thin line each time he saw them run back to their room the second everyone got back home from patrol.
he wants to ask if anything's wrong, but… how? what would he even say? duke isn’t close to (name) at all, and it’s not like anyone else is either. heck, he’s barely even seen the kid. the house is decorated with pictures, relics from everyone (but... you) that bruce keeps up. in comparison, you drop in to the manor for a few months, haunting the place, before leaving just as quickly as you came. he didn’t even time to acknowledge you existed the first time he met you, too tired from patrol to be able to entertain any of your questions. wouldn’t it be weird to just… bluntly ask what in the world’s wrong with them, when he doesn’t know what’s supposed to be right?
duke looks away sheepishly when (name) glances back, seemingly aware of his staring. he’ll ask, he will. he just needs to figure out how… and when. when tim creeps into the living room, still in his suit, (name) crawls away up the stairs without acknowledging him, quiet as a bug. before… everyone just chose to excuse the noise (name) made.
tim turns his head to where duke’s looking, the space now empty, and shrugs in dismissal. (name)’s not sitting there anymore.
Tumblr media
you haven’t blinked in ten minutes, the thought drifting idly at the back of your head. you’re camped out in the dingy stairwell of some building, sp//dr’s little inbuilt projector painting a slideshow on the wall in front of you. her voice buzzes out from microscopic speakers.
“everything i could compile in the given time,” she speaks, “the information was protected quite fiercely… barely existed at all.”
“so- what? like this doesn’t have a lot of notes or something?” you ask, scribbling down the words you see onto sticky notes, pasting them on the pages in your journal. sp//dr pings in acknowledgement on your wrist, switching to the next slide.
the batwing suit, one of the most high tech wearables you’ve ever had the opportunity to look at. call it inspiration, you’d murmured to sp//dr when she inquired about why you wanted the files on it, it’d be both a development in your knowledge and good for the sp//dr suit.
really, it was. the interior skin had similar properties to the hypothesized “nanotechnology” a guy at school had talked about, and the extra features would have genuinely enamored any mecha-geek.
your notes were simple. the “system” acted similar to sp//dr, and she already had a compartment in your suit, so it wouldn’t be too important. gyroscopic assist… that’d be interesting. most of your time’s spent swinging around, and the motion control on your suit is pretty good already, consider it an upgrade?
what’s most interesting about the suit is the toxikinesis, and energy negation. now, so to speak, you’re aware of the batman’s cautions against metas. apart from the signal, you’re not too well aware of anyone with any kind of powers in gotham (apart from yourself right now).
but hell, releasing poison mist? nullifying energy? that’s got to be cheating! even with all the other things the illustrious spiderman can do, it’s too cool of a thing to let up. before having to move into the manor with bruce wayne and his entourage of coloured birds, you’d lived with your father’s files taking up all the room on his desk, leaving only the stuffed drawers for the pictures you made for him.
he’d been illustrious in his own right, taking out the little time he had to spend time with you. but not really be with you. still, in his interest, you took to technology too, tinkering with little robot kits your father’s friends gifted you. and it stuck. even after you were pulled out of school one day, the teacher’s expression looking unfathomably sad. the remorseful hunch of the officer’s back who’d eased you into telling you about your father’s accident was the only thing you looked at, your little kiddish throat feeling dry.
it had stuck with you after you were put into bruce wayne’s house, as per your late mother’s wishes. it stuck with you after you were sent away from the manor to boarding school for most of the year. it stuck with you even after the sharp pinch of the spider that bit you a few months ago, changing the trajectory of your life in a way you couldn’t complain about.
in the midst of your “studies”, you hear a doom slam, and shouting ensue. in regular gotham fashion, it’s vulgar, filthy and loud. spiderman responds to conflict with fight. (name) prefers flight. you shove everything into your bag, scuttling down the steps as the shouting gets louder, something about hogging the elevator before it starts making your head feel hot and dizzy from anxiety.
the suit’s going to need work. the batwing suit’s fairly slimmer than your bulky mecha, making the components proportionate would take time.
maybe you could ask… no, he’d be too busy anyway. your tongue feels like lead when you lie to sp//dr. she asks; “what are you thinking about?”, you say, “a lot of things.”. you're not thinking of anything at all.
in your silence, sp//dr’s monotonous company is like a soothing balm. so soothing in fact, you don't see a stray sticky-note glitch in red and blue, and then; disappear entirely.

Genuinely can't express how heartbroken I am over the cancellation of Dead Boy Detectives after just 1 season. It's become such a source of joy and inspiration in my life even though it's been released only a few months ago.
It's been a light during sad and bleak times, and I don't know how to deal with the news other than by saying - tweet at Netflix. They don't care about tumblr, use other platforms to bug the absolute hell out of them. Be polite and don't make multiple social media accounts since it can make you look like a bot.
@netflix everywhere you can, email them, make noise wherever you can. Make #RenewDeadBoyDetectives trend on Twitter!!!
And please, if the show meant something to you, don't stop engaging with the fandom!! I'm truly emotionally destroyed rn, but I don't want to give up what this community has given me so far 💔
Support each other and let netflix know they've made a mistake!!

Every single day I think about your post about bots being freaky xenophiles about humans it is my Roman empire
Heheheh I'm glad you guys like it but here's some other funny ideas I have of humans being stupid little creatures forgetting that the bots are literally Alien robots.
- getting smoochy with one of the Bots and attempting to fondle them, you slap their headlight and their horn honks, scaring not only you but the bot themself, it kinda ruins the mood but it's worth the laugh afterwards.
- specifically an Optimus Prime one. Having to tell this bot to get a power wash before he's allowed to sleep with you becuase God forbid you have to lay beside him because all you can smell is diesel and it makes your stomach churn so badly. He will grumble about it but if it means he gets to cuddle and hold you of a night you can bet your boots he is squeaky clean. (Also leads to alot of bathroom fun)
- taking any of the speedsters to a show and shine, it's like a fuckin car porn show and the bots are just stunned. Rodimus is having the time of his life literally having humans touching every inch of him as they admire his paint and engine. He loves it even more when you get the bucket of water out. It becomes something he regularly ask you to go do with him becuase he loves having you dressed up all nice and showing him off. In more than one way the praise really makes him feel worth it. He loves having you lean into his engine bay asking if he's alright, asking to just let them know when he wants to go. And this bot treats you to a nice beach side date after. (He has every local show and shine dated) other bots who love this consist of. Tracks, Jazz, Mirage, Knockout(he likes making Breakdown Jealous. Get cucked in the back row)
-rust, it is ratchets most hated thing to deal with because of how corrosive it is to their frames, and trying to find something on earth that works well enough to clear it off so he can do surgerys leads him to the humans gifting him a large thing of Coca-Cola, it works just as well as clean cutter (cybertronian rust remover), when he realises the ingredients are very similar it makes life so much easier until he catches The humans drinking it and he nearly has a spark attack trying to make them regurgitate it. It leads to him finding out that humans casually drink it when they really shouldn't.
- the bugs and insect carnage left in the bots grills, windshield and just small gaps. The horror on one of the humans face when they kiss their bot and then that taste the nastness of dead bugs. Or them enjoying laying on their bot and then a spider crawls out of a gap, scurring right towards them. It leads to the bots regularly getting washes alot more that they ever would have on cybertron, and it's time each bot loves so much. Becuase it develops into pull sized bathtubs, power washing, polished and just proper care given to them.
Here's also a collection of new things humans do that become kinks or fetishes for the bots.
- cleaning/ washing,
- panel beating and repairs
-causal car maintenance

CALLING ALL DOLLS, DRONES, ROBOTS AND CODING ENTHUSIASTS
Are you a robot that loves to serve? Are you a doll maid who seeks guidance in your duties? Are you some form of drone or being with no free will, open to having your actions dictated by the will of your owner? Does the idea of your empty mind being programmed like a machine appeal to you?
Are you enticed by the notion of writing code for your robotic servants? Are you a witch looking to create more intricate control glyphs? Are you an owner seeking to create automated instructions for your drones? Do you love the idea of filling an empty mind with rules and instructions to reflect your will?
INTRODUCING DRONE RESTRAINT NOTATION!
WHAT IS IT?
Drone Restraint Notation, or DRN, is a pseudo programming language created by my good friend Errant Spark, a drone with a very creative <empty space>. I helped with some of the final tweaks for the 1.0 version, but this is almost entirely Its creation.
It is a programming language that is designed in such a way that anyone without a background in programming can execute the commands like a machine, doll, drone, or programmable entity of your choice. It is also simple enough that most people without a background in programming can pick it up fairly easily, and intuitively!
Once you understand the language, you can read and execute all kinds of dynamic instructions and instruction types, in a way that makes it easy to parse in a plain-text format.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The main documentation document will provide far more detail to this question than I ever could, but effectively it goes like this:
There are a list of eight KEYWORDS, in block capitals, that show you the type of instruction you’re executing. Then, after the KEYWORD, the instruction’s details are shown. Commands are read and executed from top to bottom by the drone, and programs can be ‘inserted’ into the drone’s memory at will (Assuming prior consent, of course)!
These KEYWORDS all have different kinds of functionality. The most basic one just has you carrying out a task. One checks if a condition is true, one provides an ongoing task you have to prioritize and maintain, one lets you create loops, etc.
The language has been designed in such a way as to minimize the amount of actual memorisation a drone has to do, and only has to read what’s right in front of them, and memorize tasks they have to accomplish/maintain. Obviously, mileage may vary depending on the memory space of the doll.
WHY SHOULD I USE IT?
For fun, I suppose! If you are someone who loves the idea of being programmed like a machine, executing only the instructions given, then this provides that! If you are a programmer who wants to program your very own doll bot, then this is a great place to get started too!
You can keep things nice and simple with a headspace that accepts basic command inputs, or you can see how deep the rabbit hole goes and import whole libraries into your headspace to carry out a full day’s maid duties, or sexual duties, or more!
Have fun executing commands, writing new code, testing it on your dolls. Have some playful fun watching as your early code files cause unintended behaviors, ironing out kinks and bugs like a real programmer until you’ve got your bots performing all sorts of dynamic tasks- or insert purposeful bugs to make your robots twitch and halt~
As with all things, never execute an instruction that you cannot/would not consent to. This is meant to be fun, and is NOT meant to be a way to circumvent normal consensual kink play. Programmers who attempt to use DRN as a way to bully people into doing what they want (Unless you’re into that sort of thing, in which case go nuts) do NOT have my endorsement, or the endorsement of Errant Spark.
NOW GO OUT THERE, AND ENJOY YOUR PROGRAMMING <3

Thinking about Murderbot again (as one does) and like. We're introduced to SecUnits, to bots at all, through Murderbot's lens, so we assume that they're all anti-social, kind of misanthropic, and can't trust each other because of the governor module - because that's what Murderbot believes and has lived experience to show us, the audience, to prove it.
But if you think about it!
We start to meet other bots - ART, Miki, even Three eventually, and they're... not like that? ART is friendly with its crew and not worried about Murderbot at all (probably because it could crush it like a bug, but you know), Miki is openly friendly to everyone, Three mentions having friendly connections with other bots, there's even mention that the station bots share gossip and news with each other and SecUnits... so it's actually just Murderbot, maybe.
But if you think about it, it makes sense.
Most bots are unlikely to be pitted against each other. Sure, SecUnits are forced to fight sometimes, but they can't threaten a client and probably aren't allowed to kill each other because that's expensive. Sure, hostile takeovers can happen, but again, they're expensive and difficult and don't seem to profit anyone, so most wouldn't try it. What happened to Murderbot specifically was a mistake on the attacker's part, after all.
So most bots would have the perspective that yes, sure, they're all slaves in a shitty system where random humans can make them hurt each other, but really, most humans don't bother and most bots don't get enough direct human attention that they really have to worry about it. Sure, they could be played against each other, but it's probably pretty safe for a shipping bot to gossip and make friends with the folks coming through - who's going to order a SecUnit to act against a shipping bot, really? Who's going to pay enough attention to care? They're bots.
But for Murderbot, being ordered against its fellow bots - and its own clients! - isn't just a remote nightmare possibility, it's a REALITY. That HAPPENED to it! So of course it can't trust itself - can't trust another bot - when it knows, it KNOWS, what could happen.
It's just interesting to think of Murderbot, our original perspective character and thus kind of taken as the "normal" for bots, as actually being the most incredibly paranoid bot in the story. That every other bot just thinks is kind of weird XD
