I've seen some people make fan concepts of @bluepeachstudios' upcoming Fusion "Renaissance", so I figured I'd take a crack at them myself.

They're admittedly maybe a bit big, but scaling is hard. Especially when both characters are crouching. Oh well, I figure the... let's say "loose" interpretation is more interesting than shoddy scaling. And I suppose I can just say that April is just super small in stature haha

Hi JustPoro! I wanted to share an observation with you. Maybe you can turn this into some headcanon, fanfic or just share your thoughts on it? I just started my second BG run, romancing Astarion again. I didn't really see/notice it months ago on my first run, but now it's so obvious that when Astarion is sincere he always touches his own hands and fingers, like a tell. One moment he leans forward, looks you in the eye, spreads his arms, demanding all your attention. But the next moment he looks to the side, his words become smaller, he puts his hands in front his body and starts playing with his fingers, basically shrinking back into himself, even if he still smiles. It happens a few times and it's such a heartbreaking detail. How do you think the Tav would react when they first catch on to this?

As a former thief you knew a tell when you saw one.

Because back in your thieving days it was part of your set of skills needed to survive. You had to know when someone was trying to rip you off. 

Astarion had a tell. Quite an obvious one too.

You hadn’t fully figured out yet what it was he was lying to you about or trying to hide from you. But it was clear that something was up, something going on behind these unusual crimson eyes, whenever he started to fidget with his hands.

Admittedly, you probably had figured it out as quickly as you did because you had stared at his hands quite often. They were beautiful hands: quite big, long, elegant and immaculately cared for fingers. You had to admit you had a thing for hands; but Astarion’s especially.

You knew exactly what those hands could do: from lockpicking even the meanest locks and making it look like magic in its own respect to dramatically being flailed around to underline the point the vampire was making; to oh so easily finding this delicate spot between your legs, caressing it, toying with it, making you lose your mind - with nothing but a touch of those fingers.

But the physical intimacy you had shared didn’t mean you were on the same terms in other aspects of your relationship.

And so the first time you noticed Astarion’s small nervous habit you didn’t let it show that you had noticed. It had been a delicate subject obviously. One of those rare moments where the vampire let precious details of his past slip.

From just the few things he had shared with you, you could imagine the horrors he must have lived through.

And from the way his body gave him away, you were sure of the pain it still caused him.

It was when his shoulders fell, his whole body basically folding in on himself from his usual cocksure flamboyant posture and attitude. His ruby eyes seemed leagues and eons away, still lingering agony swimming in them.

Those were the moments where unconsciously he started to nervously play around with his hands, obviously not even noticing. Tugging on the fingers of the other hand, pressing the thumb into the palm of the other - as if trying to give himself at least a bit of reassurance or to pull himself back by the pressure applied. And then the moment quickly passed again. Hands falling to his side again.

And so you took note but remained silent.

Until this fateful night back at Moonrise towers when Astarion had made a confession to you, you hadn’t ever expected.

Immediately it had been obvious how upsetting and strenuous it must have been for him to bring himself to even bring it up with you. So much so that you were sure he must be close to ripping his own fingers off judging by the way he worked while he opened up about his feelings for you.

So if this wasn’t the moment which would it ever be? As Astarion kept speaking you stepped closer, his eyes immediately growing big and round. So obviously afraid. Not of but of what he feared was about to happen. His words died on his lips as the vampire could only stand and watch, positively becoming a statue. His hands froze in position in front of his chest.

That’s where you gently grabbed them from with your own. He let you. Too shocked to react in any other kind of way.

“Did you notice,” you began as you started to gently massage them “that you tug on your hands when you’re upset or nervous or…” You blushed a little as you didn’t manage to finish your question, letting your gaze drop from his to where his hands were mingled with yours.

“I do?” Astarion replied bewildered, fully thrown off his groove and what he had planned to say.

You nodded, still not able to look up at him again, but kept softly soothing his fingers.

Silence fell between you as you kept going, feeling how your warmth spread to him.

After a long while you found the courage to look Astarion in the eyes again. He seemed transformed. A gentle smile was tugging on his lips, eyes full of warmth and kindness. None of that fearful behaviour that made him sink into himself but also none of the cocky performance he so often put on.

Instead, Astarion seemed genuine. Probably more so than you had seen him be this far.

And when he finally continued his speech, you felt more of that. All while you kept holding onto his hands. And - as you felt by the end of it - as he was holding onto yours.

Later, you of course still noticed those moments when Astarion nervously toyed around with his hands. But now you had no good reason to not go and do something about it.

So, whenever you noticed it happening you softly grabbed his hands, untangled his fingers and wrapped them with yours. Or pressed your palm against his. Or kissed his fingers one by one. Until the moment had passed.

And later still, when Astarion had started to learn to rely on you, you found he sometimes came to you, grabbing your hands for a bit of support. You squeezed his in reassurement and let your thumb wander over the back of his hand in these moments - until he squeezed back. A silent thank you, you’ve come to know.

I did really enjoy this comic, but I lost investment when I realised every time a new character is introduced, they end up dying unceremoniously within five or less moons of meeting them. I loved the story, but it unfortunately lost me when I realised that formula. We’ve been stuck stagnant with the same, 200 moon old characters, and any new characters either die or cease to exist in the eyes of the narrative. You’re a very talented artist, but sadly the comic lost me

The last cat to die before Frost was Azalea, who's been here since Moon 138. This was 72 pages ago.

The last character to be introduced was Bell, 60 pages ago. She is going to be a prominent antagonist. The last character to be introduced before that was Pigeonkit, 96 pages ago. Admittedly He is a BG character.

The last *main* character to be introduced is Bugpaw, (he's not a main character right now but he will be) 108 pages ago.

If he doesn't count, let's go for Sorrel, Yew and Hyacinth, who were born 132 pages ago.

Our main character of this current Arc, Serpentfin, was born 188 pages ago. Our second main character, Fernfreckle was born 247 pages ago.

What did the Drow think of the other Bhaalspawn? Did he have any sort of camaraderie with them or was it more like "targets who live in my temple"

I assume you mean the other bhaalists, because at least as far as i understood your dark urge should be the only "pure bred" bhaalspawn at the time in which the game takes place besides Sarevok (correct me if i'm wrong please, as much as I read about it BG lore is still wild lmao)

But It depends, if they were a good little cultist and spent most of their time killing/bringing sacrifices in, he would be fine with you. If they orbited around too much and seemed to be more talk than action he was probably quick to kill them, especially if he got an inkling they were trying to elevate themselves above being just a living knife. Regardless, he would have treated them all as lesser beings than himself, and would have preferred to have the temple for himself and Orin.

But he was also a hypocrite and occasionally (or whenever it was convenient) lavished in a little doting or treated some of them like servants, especially if he wanted to put on a show for any outsiders. DU drow claimed to abhor any displays of frivolity that didn't align with his father's will while also parading around covered in gold and participating in masochism, so he contradicted himself constantly LOL

He very much liked Orin, though, admittedly in part because he was under the impression she looked up to him and had no plans to usurp him. He simultaneously thought himself as above needs like love and family and genuinely thought of her as kin and his only worthwhile companion. Their relationship didn't look like a loving one to onlookers, but it was - in whatever weird, twisted way they practiced it. It was definitely sexual in nature too, but I'm not entirely sure what that looked like in their case.

I'm not sure what he thought of Sarevok (did he even hang around the temple lol bro what do you even get up to) but It wasn't good. There was probably the bare minimum of performative respect there but he likely would have preferred him dead.

Oh yeah this is kidna related to why I'm not so active, since now I'm focusing on trying to complete an FTO prompt for an EXTREMELY cool closed species known as Edeia, owned by @ausp-ice who is an AMAZING ARTIST

Imma just take this time to glaze Edeia for a moment because its genuinely an amazing closed species because IT HAS NO DESIGN LIMITATIONS since this is a more lore focused closed species

Aside from spending money to buy Edeia, if you are a feebie person like me, you can take a First Time Owner (FTO) prompt which you just need to write and/or make art and bam, MYO/Notion (which is essentially Auspice designing your Edeia for you) for free

Even after FTO, you can collect currency to get a MYO, Notion or even special traits by completing funny prompts with writing/drawing

Comparing these to other closed species freebie options where you just need to like spam a command every day or heck, even rely on luck to even barely get a chance to claw your way to an MYO (Staring at you, Terraliens, I like y'all but for what is essentially a furry with a glass face I do NOT want to spend possible YEARS betting on chance just to be able to get 1 simple MYO along with 90% of traits locked behind items)

So yeah completing prompts for Currency is not only more fun, but it can help develop your own Edeia and drawing/writing for currency is definitely more fun than grinding for it

Anyways I should also specify YES YOU CAN GET A EDEIA WITHOUT HAVING THE ABILITY TO DRAW, YA JUST NEED TO WRITE GOOD

Also aside from yapping about the "technicalities" of the species and what I love about it, the concept itself is so cool

So essentially Edeia are beings that embodies various ideas, from more abstract ideas like Anomie, Potential, Vogue, or more straight forward ones like Music, Technology, The Tides, or even very silly ones like Simping, Skrunkly and C h a i r (Yes those are real Edeia you can check the masterlist of over 500+ Edeia)

By the way I should also mention that most if not all Edeia are born as they are, usually, they start their lives as humans, animals, objects or even creatures outside of the Ideation universe (aka the universe of Edeia) that become very intune with a certain idea/concept, leaving their past forms behind to pursue it and thus embody said idea/concept.

Also yeah they kinda do become similar to gods because they are immortal, only being able to die by disassociation, can have very powerful abilities depending on their idea, and technically can travel beyond their own universe if they wish

Also again I will mention Edeia can appear as ANYTHING, therefore there is absolutely ZERO design restrictions and you can literally draw whatever tf you want as long as its associated with their idea

Before we get to see the Bloomburrow Commander previews, I want to get my predictions in for what planeswalkers we'll see in the remaining 3 Commander decks as well as what their fursonas will be. Here are some of my considerations, but also a Read More because this got a bit long:

We know for sure each deck is going to have one planeswalker, and we already know Tamiyo is in the Bant group hug deck. The Jace, Nissa, and Liliana we've seen are not in the decks

I don't think we'll be seeing more than one planeswalker card of the same type among all of the set, so I am assuming the precons won't have any other Jace, Liliana, Nissa, or Tamiyo planeswalkers.

I would guess that there will be an effort to keep the color distribution even, so that fans of every color can get at least one planeswalker (though not necessarily a mono-colored one).

I am assuming that the planeswalkers in the precons will not be radically expensive or be multi-format competitive staples. It wouldn't look good for wizards if people bought out precons just to scalp them for chase rares (anymore than that may or may not already be happening, idk)

For the most part, I am trying to keep the fursonas to the animal races we've already seen in the Bloomburrow previews and the story. The exception is if there's a very obvious option that doesn't feel out of place.

I am sticking to planeswalkers who are alive and have not been confirmed to be desparked (despite the fact that they included Tamiyo. I'm already indulging with one prediction, I can't get my hopes up for a new Gideon)

I'm inferring what each precon's strategy is solely by looking at the commander.

Since the Jeskai deck has a 1 power theme, I am predicting we will see a Bird version of Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Specifically, I would guess a dove. This is both something I would really want, but also something I think has a very good chance of happening. After all, the Bloomburrow birds are a chivalric knightly order, so Elspeth will fit right in. Not to mention that as an angel she would be one of the few people able to seamlessly transition to a different all-flying creature type. Sun's Champion is a great card in the format, evidenced by it making it into other precon lists. Theoretically any Elspeth or any 1/1 token producing Planeswalker can fill the role, but I think this is the best option. There is admittedly some anachronism between depicting this card as modern Elspeth while the name references the Theros story, but I think that's something that can be ignored. Look, I just really want to see bird Elspeth, okay?

The RG precon is the only other one with Red, so we gotta have a Red planeswalker here. There aren't a lot of planeswalkers who synergize with this deck's strategy. Daretti only works with half of the deck, and Jaya, Fiery Negotiator isn't doing much aside from making tokens with Prowess. So, I propose Lizardfolk Chanda, either Flamecaller or Fire Artisan. Since the lizardfolk are associated with fire magic, this one's pretty obvious. Chandra, Flamecaller has a sweeper effect which doesn't destroy your indestructible enchantment/artifact creatures (though it can kill your commander, point not in this one's favor). Flamecaller's other loyalty abilities are fine as well. Fire Artisan is very linear, but does function as a card advantage engine. Torch of Defiance isn't too powerful for commander, but I think it sees too much play elsewhere for it to be a good inclusion here.

For the BG squirrels + tokens precon, my pick is Garruk, Primal Hunter as a badger. We haven't seen any badgers in Bloomburrow aside from Hugs, but if anyone deserves to be Big, it's Garruk. A raccoon would also probably work, but wouldn't be my first pick. I choose Primal Hunter specifically because it makes tokens on it plus ability, and can draw cards as well. And, it's among the most played Garruk planeswalkers in the Commander.

OHH THIS IS A GOOD QUESTION!!!!! admittedly i don’t have any detailed floor plans designed so much as just Settings In My Mind Which I Try My Utmost To Convey but i’ll try to explain them in broad terms here! :D

generally speaking, the vibe of all hawke-associated zones (namely, his house, the carpentry and leandra-and-the-twins’ house) is very much that of the hawke estate from the actual game. it’s all very comfortable and warm. i always hear the hawke family theme in the bg whenever i’m writing scenes set in them lol. the hawkes all subconsciously gravitate towards dark brown and red furniture and they tend to be a bit on the cluttered side (though leandra is by far the most organized of the lot. conversely, malcolm was the most cluttered HAHA – carver has since taken the title over), so everything always feels really... lived-in! in a nice way! (as a lil aside, fenris’ place is the same way; i think garrett literally thinks ‘this place feels cozy and lived-in’ when he first sees fen’s place haha.)  

but anyway!!! garrett’s house is a two-story house which he rents from meredith (who is also his neighbor) (yes that goes as well as you’d think). the ground floor has a spacious living room which is VERY cozy because garrett doesn’t joke around when it comes to coziness. it has red carpeting, an extremely plushy old sofa, a couple of armchairs and a tv set. there’s a low table in front of the tv (basically just a coffee table) and another table next to the couch with some family pictures on display. the domain of the 500 straws aka the kitchen is attached to the living room - you get into it by going under a pretty wide arch (it isn’t sectioned off from the living room by a door or anything; you can see into the kitchen from the living room and vice-versa, hence why characters sometimes have conversations across the two of them). the kitchen is your standard kitchen with its counters and normal implements and stuff, but it’s also really cluttered. not in the unhygenic way but... you know. cluttered. there’s a cupboard in there that’s solely dedicated to chip storage. maybe even two cupboards. maybe even… a pantry. anyway. a part of it is put aside for dining upon the famed table which fenris drunkenly called shitty, but garrett usually takes his food elsewhere. like he probably eats on the couch in the living room more often. there is also a downstairs bathroom that you can get to from the living room… which i don’t think has ever been mentioned in wg…? but there it is. HOT LORE OFF THE PRESS!!!! dgdflhk but jokes aside that bathroom also combos as a laundry room.

the staircase leads up from the living room! it has another arch entrance which matches that of the kitchen, but it’s smaller because obviously the staircase is a lot narrower haha. the top floor has garrett’s bedroom (with an attached bathroom), a guest room, and another bathroom (‘the guest bathroom’ aka the domain of merrill’s gift-soaps). that bathroom isn’t attached to the guest room, but it *is* right across the hall from it. the hall is pretty tiny but it has some cabinets set up along it for extra storage. garrett actually keeps a lot of his extra stuff at the main family house since it’s way bigger and has a really spacious attic/basement situation.

the hawke family’s carpentry is definitely a lot vaguer since i’m not a carpenter so i am 100% giving the au’s characters who are trained in such things their own free rein of the place LOL but it essentially has a reception area and an area that’s totally off-limits to (most) clients. that off-limits area has a bunch of rooms – the workshop being the biggest one, with its heavy-duty tools and machinery (saws, workbenches, dust collectors, etc. SHARP THINGS!!!! be careful in there). there’s also a large room designated for storage, a breakroom with an attached bathroom, and leandra’s office for more administrative stuff. everyone drifts about but you can typically find leandra in her office, morrigan in the reception area, and the hawke siblings and zevran scattered around the workshop if they’re not doing a house call. leandra is a HUGE stickler for safety so everything is really up-to-par in that department. obviously, the hawke family’s tendency to be a bit cluttered is suppressed a whole lot in the workshop. if anything is out of place for too long the wrath of Mother Hawke WILL be incurred and no one wants that. seriously.

in terms of notable décor, the reception area of hawke’s carpentry has few of malcolm hawke’s (rest in peace, king) woodworking projects on display. he did a lot of big wooden sculptures and the like so, you know… obviously… There’s Birds. A Certain Bird In Particular. I Wonder What That Would Be. (hawks haha – two big ones on either side of the entrance to the workshop, almost like pillars.) there’s also a huge plaque of the family crest which him and leandra made together back when the carpentry was brand new. it’s on display right behind the reception desk so it’s pretty much the first thing you see when you walk in. it was garrett’s inspiration when he made the shield that fenris would later claim as his own.

so there you have it – a little run-down of these lil garrett zones! apologies if this wasn’t as detailed as you were looking for, i tried to keep it on the more general side. :D ty for the question and the warm welcome back!!!

admittedly I haven't played bg or Hades (I only play older games on my Gameboy emulator or fire emblem three houses specifically lmao) BUT ADOLIN KHOLIN I CAN DO!

I think Adolin would be a hot-blooded horse. These were mostly bred in the middle east, specifically to function as a pack- or riding horse in the desert. This means that, despite their elegant, noble and almost fragile appearance (hot-blooded and thoroughbreds can be often recognized by sight even if you don't know a lot about horses due to their recognizable face shape and slim figure) they are actually pretty robust.

Hot-blooded horses have very good stamina and endurance (cuz. you know. made to ride in the literal desert) and are very high-energy. Today they are usually bred to become either running or endurance horses, but as they are very intelligent, versatile and enjoy learning they can succeed in almost any discipline as long as they get the right training.

Even though they are usually pretty human-friendly, they aren't recommended for beginners as their high levels of energy paired with their high intelligence can make them quite spirited and unpredictable at times, especially if they aren't properly stimulated. They are also quite demanding and high-maintenance, as they require a lot of attention and care.

I believe Adolin would specifically be an Akhal-Teke. These horses are even more eye-catching than your average hot-blooded, as their coat has a metallic sheen to it :

Finally got around to watching titan ae.

The 2d animation was fun (lots of rotoscoping goodness!)

All the 3D stuff definitely has aged for the worse, although I’ve become bias to some early 3D art and admittedly found certain backgrounds and the suit designs charming.

Ngl almost all the characters were boring lol but stith was my fav (liked her personality and design)

The new BG is very 'Author's barely-disguised fetish.' If you don't get off to mind control then you won't jive with its DM. I play these games because I find Faerun a comfy setting but it's also sleazy and dated so I'm careful who I rec it to. If you'd asked me I could have told you that you probably wouldn't like it! One of Unsounded's best qualities is how it subverts many of the tropes that D&D still embraces and that hold back its story telling.

In the future I will consult the Anons :U

But yeah, admittedly I was lured by the siren call of the fuckable bear - good marketing on their part. Once I realised I didn't like any of the characters enough to see them fuck a bear and that the mind-controlling bug shit actually rendered them all squicky and repulsive, I was out. I never wanted to romance a Las Plagas zombie either.

Abilities:

Soul Devouring: While not a soul eater, her kind can also devour souls - they just tend to also eat the physical bodies of their victims, Yui hasn't done this in a while though.

Shapeshifting: She can shapeshift into her younger self, or a spiderwoman monster. She can also transform just parts of her body, like give herself a monstrous face or a sharp spiderleg-shaped blade arm. She is also fairly fast even with her age.

underwater breathing: She used to reside in a lake and therefore can breathe underwater, and is a very good and fast swimmer.

Singing: Yui is a talented singer, which is why she became a popular performer

Weaknesses:

She is a darker type of spirit so light based magic and spells tend to work on her. She can also be damaged by normal weapons unlike her husband for example, something that almost led to her death back in the day a few times.

Yui's over the top performer tendencies can be a bit much sometimes, to the point she ends up annoying her son, and spooking her granddaughter accidentally why is very shy and timid. She also tends to suffer from loneliness which leads to this over the top social behavior, due to living alone now as her husband is a wanted fugitive, and her son has his own life to live. (He does make sure to see and talk to her regularly, but he is busy)

Personality:

Like Harrow, Yui can be quite eccentric and has a theater kid tendencies where she loves putting on a show and being in the spotlight, largely because she spent so much of her earlier life hiding in shadows to protect others without them really interacting with her directly most of the time. This did also leave her with a slight disdain and anxiety over being alone for long periods of time.

She is not as bad as her husband though when it comes to theatrics, and knows when to act calmer and more "appropriate" as she generally is better at reading the mood around her.

She is a very loving and doting mother and a grandmother, and fiercely protective of her family as well, willing to confront anyone - even beings stronger than her - for being nasty to any of them.

BG Story Summary

Harrow met Yui during his travels, and helped her save her villagers from a natural disaster. Her former home was destroyed by it though, so Harrow asked if she'd like to come stay in his realm until they could find her a new lake to reside in, which was admittedly difficult given the turbulent time the human world was in at the time (world wars were approaching slowly but surely). She was eventually convinced to go by the villagers who noted she was falling in love & did not want her to continue protecting them as the upcoming threats would likely be too much for her, she'd already done a lot for them.

Later she ended up falling in love with a music type from human world that was becoming popular among the Mirror world citizens, Jazz - and became a popular performer.

Fun Facts:

Yui's house - Jurou's former childhood home - was built in Japanese style to make her feel more at home, as Harrow's old home was more western style mansion she found a bit unnerving.

She enjoys singing and playing music with the whole family during celebrations like birthdays, as the whole family is somewhat musical.

Quinn and Alois still visit her occasionally, Quinn moreso as he has large periods of rest in-between tours and recordings, and he was always a bit closer to her than Alois

Her and Harrow often liked to sing sappy lovesong duets, often just to annoy Jurou when he was an edgy teenager. They still do it, but it doesn't annoy him as much.

Yui was always closer with Jurou than Harrow, but had a very good and loving relationship with her daughter as well, even if she did prefer her dad's company slightly.

Yui loves to bake and often makes some sweet treats for her grandchildren's birthdays.

Yui mostly identifies with the surname "Araknos" and tends to forget her official surname in human realm is Blackthorne, not always reacting when people call her Mrs. Blackthorne.

admittedly the only two dark skinned characters in Utena being an extreme enabling doormat of a woman and the other being the absolute worst irredeemable guy that the former essentially created always made me uncomfortable. Then it kind of happened again when that same writer made the most morally evil of the main characters in GWitch (orchestrated a massacre and several terrorist attacks) the darkest skinned one with an Arabic name. Like, 😬

I’d say anthy is a bit more complex than that, although utena has its own series of problems from what I’ve heard-I personally haven’t done a deep dive into it but the depiction of India in the episode when nanami ‘goes there’ had issues and there was at least one orientalist art piece of anthy done by a staff member when working in the show. There was actually a very good tumblr post abt it but I’m on mobile and struggling to find it right now. (It probably would’ve helped if there had been some darker bg characters as well although I’ve seen people argue that it was a deliberate choice so they would be ‘othered’ narratively, but again, I’m not very involved in the fandom)

But yeah, it’s a very common thing in a lot of anime where even if the dark skinned (or just tan) character isn’t evil they’re more aggressive or bitchy, stripped way down in their attire/overall more sexually promiscuous, or cast as a delinquent, or otherwise framed in a way that puts them as pushy overbearing, and ‘othered’ compared to the cast that’s given skin color that the audience is meant to understand to view as the ‘default.’ There’s exceptions, of course, but it happens enough that I’m generally aware of when it happens. And it’s happened here as well.

To be clear my frame of reference for Tempest is Hyeongseop falling off his chair when meeting Taemin and Vroom Vroom. But this is so fucking cute I love it. More concepts like this actually…. BUT DONE WELL! However, this song is very forgettable…..

Body by Highlight: they said "SHAKE YOU BODY YOU BODY YOUR BODY YOUR BODY RIGHT" and I DID! I like this song it feels like summer. However. The whistling in the chorus makes me wanna rip my hair out. I fr thought we left that back in the 2010s, alas.

Do Doom Chit by VVUP: do doom chit is actually a bit of a banger… ngl at first I was like "what." but she grew on me and with a QUICKNESS.

FRI(END)S by V: V come through w/ the vocals king!!!! This song is so cute and should have been a valentines day release. It's short, yes, but I don't think it needs to be more than it is. I do wish this wasn't a single though… this belongs as an interlude on a full length album sry!!!! Also reminds me of the 70s pop that spencer sutherland has on his music. Heyuyyy what a thought

HEYDAY by XODIAC: this would've gone triple platinum in my room circa 2017… Like with Lighthouse we need more of this concept well-executed. And for my ballad lovers out there WONDERFUL TONIGHT off the same mini is for you!!!!

Fresh by Daniel Jikal: Wish there were more variation his his flow and wasn't so predictable. There's nothing special here but there is always way to improve. This feels very… the mediocre 2018 rappers who were popping up all over the place. And that's okay!

Lucky by Hori7on: These nugu groups be working their asses off and when they do they make absolute bangers like this. I am not a fan of whistling but it actually accompanies the production well. Lucky and Body are brothers in arms fr. THE CHORUS BANGS SO HARD I CAN'T LIEEE. Even the chant hook is nice like, the composers/producers/arrangers were in their bag man. I can get over the whistles fr. This is like AJU NICE but for 5th gen.

Nectar by THE BOYZ: Boy groups this month decided to give us soft nostalgia pop BANGERS and ofc THE BOYZ did not disappoint. I love this trend, MORE PLEASE!!! Btw if you like this song you'll like HEYDAY and Lighthouse for sure….

BBB by Purple Kiss: The girls will always slay with their vocals and songs, but that chorus is… not it madames. Catchy as hell but man, when you got a song like Sweet Juice it's really fucking hard to keep it up. unfortunately this was a miss from them….

Rooftop by YooA: Yeah… she slayed. I know nothing about YooA or much about OH MY GIRL but she came out and did her little thing with this one. It's not a song i'll be playlisting but she did do her thing fr.

Fuego by THE NEW SIX: She had to grow on me. She is still trying to grow on me. She is not growing much admittedly. The rap after the first chorus barely salvages it for me. I think I've just listened too much to songs like this before and I'm tired of it. By no means is it bad just not for me, and that's okay.

Broken Hearts by AMPER&ONE: This is fun! But like with Fuego, she has a lot to do to grow on me.

Baddest Behavior by Tempest (jp debut): four minutes i crode 😭🙌🏾, i liked it enough to listen, but I'm more impressed at how they were able to make a 4 minute song so strong without making it feel like filler.

Wish You Hell by WENDY: She's a good song,,,, but is this a WENDY song? Think about that for me. I mean I still love it but this is WENDY we're talking about.

EENIE MEENIE by Chungha ft Hongjoong: MOTHER IS BACK!!!!! Chungha did NOT have to kill us with I'm Ready and she did not have to bury us in the grave with EENIE MEENIE not only is the song catchy as fuck w/ fun production omfg…. the hongjoong feature set it from awesome to SPECTACULAR bc that rap is soooo mind melting in how good it is delivered and 2 the flow is insane.

Good Girl by Candy Shop: The beat switch in at the end of the pre-choruses should have been kept for the chorus but they didn't?!?! literally why and what the fuck it would have ELEVATED the song so much. But this is classic alt/contemporary rnb. The modulation in the song is well-done and keeps it interesting but and they finally kept the beat for the end, at least. But why give us a taste of heaven to just go back into the regular chorus ahhhhhh.
