As a general rule I don't think I've ever seen much point in borders. I get it during times of upheaval and unrest, I get it when you're trying to prevent bandits and pirates and marauders from slaughtering everyone in your town. But in today's world I just don't understand it. What's the point of passports and border patrols in countries that enforce these things the most? Hurting other people who are just like you but they live 5 miles down the road? That's all it seems to accomplish to me.

Do you think Clark Kent's first few major articles were about the continued presence of lead pipes in parts of Metropolis' water system

alright hold your breath for a sec til I get to the end. there's a fascinating phenomenon where able-bodied people will see a post encouraging people to develop hobbies/do outdoor activities/engage in art/etc and they feel insecure about their own lives so they immediately use physically disabled people as a shield to claim ableism and shut down the convo. but the kicker is that they 1) don't care about severely physically disabled people, housebound, or bedbound people beyond using them as a defense for why they don't have hobbies/don't go outside/etc and 2) assume phys disabled people have neither rich inner or outer lives, which is itself ableist. and you can tell it's that way cause the point is never "these don't define your worth" or "how do we address public inaccessibility" or even "what are the mental health impacts for disabled people who are unable to socialize or engage with the outside world" it's just used to say "you can't tell me it's good for me to do anything outside my comfort zone cause what about those cripples huh. checkmate"

Hunger kills our bodies more than missiles
I am Hoda from Gaza. My father and mother died in the war, and my four siblings and I became an orphan. We live with my old grandmother, who even needs me to bring her medicine! We live in a tent that is not fit for anything. My siblings and I have started searching for food in the sand, and we cannot find a single meal to satisfy our hunger. We are happy if we find crumbs of old, hard bread to satisfy some of our hunger. We all suffer from severe malnutrition. We are extremely tired. We dream of living like the rest of the children of the world. We launched this campaign in the hope that someone from this wide world will help us. We are in dire need of your humanity. Please do not leave us. Consider us your children. Please, we need you very much.
Our campaign has been verified gaza vetters number (314)

Honestly I don't think you should need a diagnosis of anything to get HRT. I think you should just be able to go buy it at CVS like it's ibuprofen.

I will never forgive the AI art debate for bringing inspiration porn bang up to date. yass girl use disabled artists as a tool for an argument and then continue to boldly ignore disabled art. you're being so original the way you're using disabled heroes as a bludgeon against other disabled people. awesomee we've all been talking and we think your reference to mozart really made this debate swing in your favour. nobody even noticed that you meant to reference beethoven. go to hell

13 year old tim pacing dick’s bedroom: you know, i don’t want to be weird or anything, but really, the only reason i care about any of this is because of you. i wished i could save you. i trained in martial arts so i will never be as helpless as i was that day. i had nightmares nightly for years of not being able to help. it still haunts me. i care about batman because he saved you. i care about robin because it’s good for batman. then i knew robin was you and i had to care. all i’ve ever wanted, really, is to be someone that could save you. i’m making myself into someone that can catch you, you know? it all comes back to you.
dick squinting at him in the dark: kid you were 3. go home it’s 2 am
