I rarely make tumblr posts, but I am so infuriated by this situation I need to say something about it.

Five Hargreeves, who spent 45 years alone in a post-apocalyptic world, and every single moment of his life since was spent trying to get back to his family. The Five who ran himself dry for 2 weeks straight trying to stop the end of the world, and reunite his family. The Five who slaughtered an entire board of directors just to ensure him family's safety. Who turned back time himself, while bleeding out on the floor, just to save his siblings. You're telling me, that the Five whose entire motivation for living was once saving his family, is the same Five, who in s4 has entirely given up, and in the Subway is the one trying to convince Lila to stop looking after 6 and a half years? The Five who never once stopped trying to return to his family in all 45 years of surviving alone, decides to settle down in a greenhouse and live out a cottagecore life?

Furthermore, the same Five who told Lila that Diego loved her, who reassured his brother that his wife wasn't cheating on him and loved him dearly, the same Five who got on with Lila only due to the fact that they both cared for and loved Diego, the person they had in common, is the same Five who stole his brother's wife, whom he had three children with, just because the writers were excited that Aidan Gallagher was finally legal?

Five who hated authority, who despised when people gave him commands, who wanted nothing more than to retire in s3, is now working for the CIA and willingly calling his boss, 'sir'?

Five who used to be so paranoid and suspicious of everyone and everything, who used to solve problems alone and came to epiphanies that saved the world, who didn't even trust a past version of himself, also didn't realise that his boss of many years had an umbrella tattooed on his wrist?

Everything that once stood out about his character is now gone, as if the writers themselves entirely forgot about his existence until the last moment, and added him in as an afterthought, without thinking of the effect he would have on the story.

beyond upset at the good omens s3 news, but good on them for booting g*im*n fuck him honestly. i hope everyone working on the episode puts their whole pussy into it and gives us an at least halfway decent ending to this show.

i've been watching soooo much star trek but bc of the rotating watch order i'm only just at the point where Sisko grows the beard. that also means soooo much star trek yet to go

Nina is actually a better person than people give her credit for. Like at the beginning of S1, I had the same scenario with Patricia happen to me: new girl at a new school, trying to make friends, and this other girl in my class didn't like my ~vibes~ or whatever and started saying nasty stuff and trying to isolate me. (thankfully in my case no close friends were kidnapped by secret societies in search for eternal life 💀 ) So not only i can sympathize with her situation, but even relate to it.

And what I don't see talked about enough is ( or if people did, I haven't seen those posts) calling out Patricia's behavior for what it really was: bullying. Keep in mind here, that I understand where Patricia's behavior is coming from, since she's being gaslit like crazy. But that still doesn't make her behaviour towards Nina acceptable or excusable.

And I wouldn't have blamed Nina if she refused to accept Patricia's apology, because is not a victim's responsability ( only their choice) to forgive their bully.

Still, Nina forgave Patricia because she's good like that ( and probably didn't want to break the already fragile ecosystem of the house with more hostility even if it was within her right to keep a grudge and refuse Patricia's apology. )

What i'm trying to say, Nina is a good person, flawed but good.

dreaming of an alternate season 3 of the mandalorian where it's just episodic stuff like in s1 but it's din showing grogu the galaxy and how to be a mandalorian while he himself is going through a spiritual crisis as he redefines his identity, and each little side character's story is a reflection of a facet of din's own struggle with a little sprinkling of hints towards other sw story arcs and the whole waters of mandalorian/redemption of the apostate is actually the season finale and a culmination of his and grogu's journey

12 hour hunter metal playlist????

ages ago zeno robinson said something about how hunter probably likes hard rock and metal music bc he'd relate to the lyrics (this was prior to hunter's sunshine arc). and i've been listening almost exclusively to hard rock and metal since i was 12. so i was like "oh, let's GO," and i put together a playlist with songs from a bunch of bands i've been listening to for 15 years, anything with lyrics i think hunter could even Slightly relate to at any point during season 2 (or before). there's some miserable soldier shit, hunting palisman and asias relationship confusion shit, eclipse lake i'm desperate but also sorry i'm killing you shit, hollow mind horror shit, angry Go Fuck Yourself shit, epic fantasy knight on a quest shit, whatever. it's all in there

crucially, though: i made this before we knew Anything about season 3, so it doesn't include a FRACTION of the grief and the autonomy-horror stuff it could. maybe someday i'll update it.
