Scar really has such an interesting face. He is so sharp and angular, unforgiving and rigid, but there are these little spots on the character that betray him. The corners of his jaw, the crest of his ears, even his brow is rounded when you look at it as one solid line. His clothes are all baggy and unkempt, just like his hair, betraying his intensity and stoicness. Heavily dislike when the fandom makes him so twinky.
I love Scar so much. Grief just oozes out of that man. He holds everything together to accomplish his goal. He must avenge his brother. His people.
And his moral dilemma is two fold with his brother LITERALLY being part of him. He must destroy. He HAS to destroy.
He must be the angel of death, if it means that he can be at peace with his brother, if only for a moment, or an eternity. He's still the boy his brother left him as, and he can't move past that for a majority of the series.
Scar is just a little boy, who wants his big brother. And he makes me so fucking sad.
FMA is about grief. No I will not take criticism.

Alastor could have been Native American
Before anyone screams racism, removal of representation, or whatever I redirect you to my post about the Voodoo representation of the show.
→ HERE ←
First thing first, Alastor is not a Wendigo but his cannibalism aspect led to fans believing the contrary, a belief that was pushed further with him being a deer. Wendigoes aren’t related to deer at all, they mostly look like men who are visibly starved and all. The deer thing came from pop culture.
Now you’re gonna ask..
“You’re all for representing properly religion and culture why would you want him to be American Indian if he’s not a proper wendigo?”
He could be a skinwalker with small elements of wendigo.
Here’s a small rewrite
It’s not related to Hell’s Safe Haven, I’ll be doing something different, feel free to take the idea for your oc if you want. But remember, Always do research :)
Why a skinwalker? They are shamans who started as healers but broke taboos from the culture which involve using their ability for harm and curses. If you’re smart then you should see where I’m going with this.
Rather than being an “evil voodoo man” Alastor could have been a shaman who transgressed important rules and became a skinwalker, one of these taboos is murdering a close relative to align with darker powers which pretty much fits for Alastor. Obliviously, you don’t villainize the whole culture, you can still show that shamanism, when not perverted by skinwalkers, can do good. Alastor’s mother could have also been a shaman and went to Heaven.
He could still have been a serial killer, stalking and learning the routine of his victims before killing them. Then he could have died in the snow because hunters noticed his activities in the forest, thanks to their dogs smelling the putrid flesh of the bodies he was carrying around, and then he got shot. Or you can have it that he managed to escape but got lost and had to eat part of the corpse he managed to get with him, but he also had to use their skin to not try and protect himself from the cold in vain partially linking him to Wendigoes.
In Hell, he could have looked like a starved disturbing-looking deer, starved because of wendigos and deer because that’s the animals he favored the most to lure people. In terms of powers, he could have the ability to reproduce people's voices through electronics mainly using radios to do so. A cool detail could be that these voices sound slightly disturbing and fake.
He completely took a more charming and refined aesthetic once in Hell to appeal to and manipulate others more easily. Skinwalkers are described as carrying bones I guess that could help for a possible redesign. Since his appearance is quite scary he could wear a hat to hide his face.
The actual critic
This is really a surface-level thing, it's a first draft based on Wikipedia, but you can’t say that it’s not remotely much more cohesive than whatever Viv is doing with Alastor.
This is something that absolutely frustrates me with the Hellaverse, Viv has very surface-level concepts, and she doesn't do enough research to bring them to their potential. It happens with Voodoo, the Goetia, the Seven Deadly Sins, and the whole pantheon of biblical figures.
What she does is she takes these cool ideas and slaps them onto her oc without much thought.
Take an example with Andrealphus, he teaches math and geometry so one of my first thought is to give me space manipulation. This means he can basically change your location in an enclosed space, turn an entire room around, and twist it to his liking. With his knowledge of maths and geometry, he knows what to do specifically to make you land exactly where he wants which makes him extremely hard to fight inside a house, especially if it’s a big place.
He could also completely reshape the laws of geometry and physics, how funny would it be to see that he lives in a small house, not taking much place but then you go outside and discover it’s basically a whole castle? It’s generic but it makes sense and makes places for lots of interesting scenes for fights or just aesthetics.
Vivziepop chose to give him ice power, for some reason. I mean math isn’t really an attractive notion in terms of supernatural abilities but you can still do something interesting with it. Unless his castle is a geometrical wet dream, I don’t see a possible link between the two. It’s a matter of creativity and the willingness to do research to cultivate it, she doesn't have that.
If you just slap very specific labels (like voodoos) on a character without thinking about how it could work for them and affect the world around them (if voodoo works then the Lwas exists), then not only you are not doing your “job” as a writer but you are just doing it for the aesthetic. It’s not wrong to do if it’s mundane things like saying that one character knows how to speak Latin, but in some cases, you gonna have to be careful about what you write in your stories.

TLDR AT THE END!
Ignoring how Vivizepop is SUCH a bad person, racism, homophobia, transphobia and all that. I want to talk about how much I dislike the entirety of helluva boss/hazbin hotel.
This is less about the writing of the shows, it is obivous that its just pure ass. There's nothing good about how the writing is. The animation is mid etc etc. I want to go into the characters themselves. Specifically Mammon.
My BIGGEST issue with Mammon is why is he GREEN. I get creative freedom but it makes no sense to my brain. Especially since he's supposed to represent Greed. The sin that is mostly associated with gold, and just money in general. And YELLOW. Yellow.
Yellow has always been Greed's color. Even far back into the 6th century A.D. one of the Popes, Pope Gregory the Great(not really great in my opinion but nevertheless), stated the base work of the sins. Quote ;
Greed (treachery, covetousness) — A strong desire to gain, especially in money or power. Disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain or when compensated. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects. Theft and robbery by violence. Simony is the evolution of avarice because it fills you with the urge to make money by selling things within the confines of the church. This sin is abhorred by the Catholic Church and is seen as a sin of malice; Dante included this sin in the first poem of the Divine Comedy (the Inferno). Simony can be viewed as betrayal. Thomas Aquinas on greed: “it is a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things.” Greed is represented by the frog and the color yellow. faust.com, seven deadly sins.
Even without Pope Gregory's input, it is commonly accepted within the Christian community/mythology that the colors of the sins are as follows ;
Pride ; Violet - Purple
Lust ; Blue
Greed ; Yellow
Sloth ; Light Blue
Gluttony ; Orange
Envy ; Green
Wrath ; Red.
It makes absolutely no sense for Mammon to be green.
"But what if she used a different classification for the sins?" You may ask.
Mammon would STILL be Yellow. Plus it is stated in Helluva Boss/implied that Mammon is Greed. (not only that but there is no classifaction of the sins where Mammon is NOT Greed so that throws that out of the window).
In both The Lanterne Of Light and Binsfeld Classifactions of the Sins nowhere Mammon is anything OTHER than Greed. It is also clear that she is using the Binsfeld Classifications since Beezlebub is Gluttony. So that also disproves the different classification theory.
Also there's way more to Greed than just MONEY MONEY MONEY. Greed is being wealthy in anything not just cold hard cash. Any material object.
Greed is defined as the immoderate love or desire for riches and earthly possessions. A person can also be greedy for fame, attention, power, or anything else that feeds one’s selfishness. As a deadly sin, greed is believed to spur other sins and further immoral behavior. The Britannica, Greed.
Using strictly the Money aspect (I acknowledge I might be wrong for this but from what I can find, that is his entire character other than being a misogynist), he is such a bland and boring character. Vivzie could've done so much more with his character, its honestly disappointing with how he is.
You can say he also has fame as one of his Greedy traits, but it's so surface level to the point where it is steamrolled by him wanting money.
BEEZLEBUB!
EDIT ; Due to some points that were brought up in the notes of this post, I understand where Vivzie was coming from with the Bee theming and Honey mentioning. That's actually interesting.
Also if Vivzie is using the Biblical meaning of Gluttony, Beezlebub's character would make more sense. I just wish that there was more to the character and she went more into it. Right now(and most likely in the future), Beezlebub seems like still a very bland character. There's little to no personality other than the drugs, partying and binge-eating (side note ; this might be me looking too much into things but since Vivziepop is well known to be extremely fatphobic, the ability to manipulate her body to get rid of the weight she might gain from eating, just gives me off vibes. this is mostly just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.)
THIS STILL DOESN'T MEAN I ENJOY HOW SHE IS CHARACTERISED ! I still believe there could've been way more to her than the base form of gluttony. Though I acknowledge that Vivzie could be sticking to the Biblical version of Gluttony.
END OF EDIT.
She makes no sense whatsoever to me. It's like Vivzie just saw the BEE in her name and just ran with it without even looking into her. None of her ANYTHING even represents Gluttony. Other than binge-eating, which seems to be the only thing that actually represents Gluttony. (though Gluttony is WAY MORE than just "oh food and eating alot.") Hell, she seems more like PRIDE than anything else. Her not liking when people insult her, having a very high view of herself. Even with the aspects of her that do scream Gluttony, its such a Base Interpretation of Gluttony. Gluttony is indugunce of ANYTHING. Not just drugs, food, drinking, etc. The way she is written just screams "I searched Gluttony on google and used the first results." There's no depth into her Sin whatsoever. Side note ; Her not liking when her guests indugle for self destructive reasons is SUCH a contridiction to Gluttony. Self Destructive induglence is what Gluttony is. That is what the sin IS. Again this makes no sense to me at all.
Her design is also like a unicorn threw up on her in all the wrong ways but that's not what I'm here to talk about.
ASMODEUS! Asmodeus is from my opinion the more well-written of the sins. Then again Lust is such an easy sin to write. I don't have much to say about this guy since Lust is a such a well known and obvious sin. I really wish I could say more about this guy but I truly can't. His character is almost strictly sex related. (hey! maybe the reason he's seemingly more well-written than the others is that the whole show is pretty much sex jokes.)
LUCIFER!
I don't know much about this guy so I'm not going to say anything but once I learn more I'll add onto this post with how I feel about him.
TLDR ; I don't like how the Sins are interpreted in the show due to them being such a surface level version of the Sins, and they could've done much more with them. Maybe this'll change in the future but I doubt it.
Also if I got anything wrong do tell, I'd like to correct myself on things if I am wrong. Provide proof if possible.

My thoughts on Our Blue and Green World (Spoilers Included)
I actually just wanted to discuss the big twist of the special, that being Paisley becoming an ally of the Wild Kratts team. When I first saw the episode, I was in shock. It felt like it came out of nowhere and I swear I could feel my brain struggling to comprehend what I just witnessed. I could barely follow along with the rest of the special.
However, after having some time to think about it, I think this is a twist that, while could definetly have been better executed, was done in a way that doesn't really pull a full 180 on Paisley's character to the point that it feels like a character assassination. Here is why I think that.
All the villains of Wild Kratts have one thing in common: They disrupt nature. Though while Zach, Donita, and Gourmand all actively hunt animals to use for their own gain, seeing them nothing more than resources, Paisley merely sees them as an obstacle, a hinderance to her plans. This is where Paisley really differs from the villains in a way that her redemption makes sense. Paisley's goal to pave comes from a good place.
We have heard Paisley say that she paves for the sake of mankind, creating usable space out of 'yucky', useless nature. Her methods of mass paving are destructive, but the goal itself is selfless. Paisley paved out of a sense of duty, which differs from the motivators of the other villains.
Zach, Donita, and Gourmand, on the surface level, represent corporate greed, and how some people just want more and more, but Wild Kratts shows that greed is not the sole motivator. They say pride is the worst of the seven deadly sins, and the show proves this. Pride is an enabler. It allows us to justify our actions in a way that makes sense because we supposedly deserve something. Zach sees himself as the world's greatest inventor and smartest person, Donita sees herself as the world's greatest designer, and Gourmand sees himself as the ultimate chef with a rare talent.
All 3 of the OG villains have a sense of entitlement to do what they want, and take from nature, because in their minds, they are above nature.
I certainly feel Paisley's redemption could have been handled better, but I am glad she is starting on the path to redemption, and that the writers made the switch before she could cross a line of no-return.

The Party Animal of the Vice family, Rubee!
Tumblr media
Gluttony isn’t only about food yknow, as nice as feasting can be. Especially when over indulging in life’s seemingly smaller things is your only sense of stability.
Despite frequent financial troubles and emotional issues, Rubee chooses to not face any of it. Instead ignoring the things that get her down and focusing on having a good time. While on the surface they seem like a decked out happy club gal, back at the apartment she avoids she’s struggling with rent. Often needing help from her siblings to get by. Despite all the help, none of her siblings actually want to room with her. Rubee often coming home so late, drunk, and sometimes with someone that it’s a hassle handling her. Despite not wanting to room with her, or even near her, they still often check up on her. Especially Vex, worried sick about her baby sister and often trying to convince her not to go out when she can. Nine times out of ten, failing to do so.
Rubee lives in denial that she’s truly struggling with money, making things harder for herself and others with unhealthy coping. Buying things she doesn’t need, going out clubbing, trusting others too easily if she thinks it’ll be fun, and putting herself in danger for the sake of a thrill. While she could at least be responsible while going out, she isn’t in the slightest. Often going out alone and not keeping an eye out for herself.
While her bubbly attitude and flashy accessories have convinced others and herself she’s doing fine, but her siblings know better and are tired of her antics. Sick of her denial and lack of self preservation.
Group Summary
Based off of The Seven Deadly sins, the Vice Family is a group of orphans that grouped together and formed their own family. All looking out for each other as they grew up, knowing they wouldn’t have any proper parental support. All of them (at first) living in the same cheap, rundown apartment building, most of them having to roommate.
Each sibling is based off a different sin, with motivation and reasoning for why they are, and have a color of the rainbow to represent them.

The Magician’s Assistant: The seven Six Sins
(they’re not all designed yet but I wanna go ahead and jot this down so…)
So, in Max’s world, there’s the human realm (where he and Florence are, as well as some other cast members), and then there’s the Underworld- this is the realm of demons, and a large portion of it is overseen by the Deadly Sins, which behave similarly to organized crime within the Underworld. Usually, demons can’t travel to the human realm on their own, but the Sins are powerful enough to not only do so, but to influence the human realm. They use this to further their own power and ambitions, with their strength already being well beyond an average demon’s.
The Sins are:
Superio (Pride)-
Superio is the ‘big boss’ of the entire organization- arrogant, selfish and cruel, he’s every inch the personality powerhouse to back up his overconfidence. He’s manipulative, magnetic and charming, always looking to further his own ends- despite this, he does take his job seriously and views a slight directed at the Sins to be a slight directed unto himself.
(he/him)
He is the one working most closely with The Master- the two have a… ‘confusing’ relationship.
Most resembles a classic red devil.
Appears in reflective surfaces.
Generally skilled in magic- in terms of unique abilities, he grows bigger and stronger the more confident he feels. The weakness of this, however, is that ‘wounded pride’, for him, is very literal.
Fascinated by magic tricks and showbiz.
Mynah (Greed)-
For Mynah, there’s no such thing as wanting nothing. Overseeing the Underworld’s casinos, Mynah too takes his job seriously… if only for the money and power it brings him. Welcoming in personality but easily distracted, he’s a good host- if someone decides to start trouble, or doesn’t like how their bets have played out, however, they’ll find themselves another golden statue littering the casino floor.
(he/him, occasionally they/them)
Four arms (all the better to play the tables with).
Always covered in absurd amounts of jewelry. He’s almost painful to look at directly.
In a ‘situationship’ with Superio.
‘Midas touch’ ability, alongside manipulating other valuables, like silver or gemstones. Crafts jewelry for himself as a hobby- crafts magic, soul-stealing jewelry for others as a sidegig.
Big believer in hustle culture.
Ira (Wrath)-
Ira, true to her name, hates just about everything- and that’s hardly an exaggeration. She hates her job, she hates her coworkers, and someone so much as bumping into her in the hallway is enough to send her into a rage. It’s a real pity, because she’s genuinely good at her job, and might possibly be the most powerful (physically) of the Sins- of everything, however, she hates battle the least, and thus is always the first to leap into combat on the turn of a dime.
(she/her)
Dragon-like in appearance and abilities.
Lacks magical ability beyond manipulating fire, but she cannot be harmed by mortal weapons, though she can be injured by her own strength (such as crashing into something).
Smart, but short-sighted and easily tricked when she’s in a rage. Skilled tactician.
The only thing that she doesn’t seem to mind much is being by herself, where it’s quiet and no one is around to bother her.
Wounds glow and bleed gold.
Gluttiere (Gluttony)-
Gluttiere is every inch a party animal- proud (co)owner of most of the Underworld’s nightlife, he eats, sleeps and breathes overindulgence. Drugs (manufactured at his command), alcohol, food and fun, he doesn’t believe in limitation or abstinence, and will push those around him far beyond their limits in the pursuit of a good time. He’s friendly and funny, but ultimately, a bad trip.
(he/him)
Insect-like.
He and Luxurio behave like brothers.
Heavily drawn to sweet, sugary things, especially mead.
Presence is intoxicating to mortals, and he’s prone to creating a ‘hive-mind’ of those partying with him, especially those that have eaten his food or drinks.
Those who consume too much of his offerings break down like melting candy. This fuels his power.
Not built for combat and usually lets his partygoers fight for him. Will try to talk someone out of battle before it reaches that point.
Gets extremely upset at the thought of someone not liking him. He craves attention and will throw a fit if ignored.
Luxurio (Lust)-
The fellow owner of the Underworld’s nighttime scene, Luxurio has different interests- those of satisfaction and want. Quick to grow fixated but quicker to get bored, Luxurio hops from object of interest to object of interest fast as rabbit. Shallow and selfish, Luxurio would much rather get his kicks than start a fight, especially when it causes problems between others.
(he/him)
Rabbit-like in appearance.
Changes outfits/hairstyles constantly- uses shapeshifting magic at times to alter his appearance (and better screw with someone)
Takes pleasure in causing infidelity and treats the resulting damage like a soap opera.
Ability to make clones/copies of himself, though these are mindless and cannot speak.
Enjoys performing for others.
Teams up with Gluttiere to pester the other Sins.
Acedia (Sloth)-
Acedia embodies feelings of loneliness, apathy and nihilism, rarely inclined to anything to help or hinder the Sins’ cause. Finding amusement in others’ hopelessness and frustration, Acedia only makes appearances when needed and offers nothing of substance to meetings- despite this, their ability to instill inaction in others and their skills in perception and manipulation keep them under the Sin’s payroll.
(they/she)
Deep sea-coded- very tall.
Hair always appears wet, though she never leaves water behind where she walks.
Presence instills tightness of the chest and feelings of apathy and hopelessness in others.
While they’re never angry or vengeful, they have a cruel streak.
Lazy- enjoys tormenting others and is very powerful, but won’t instigate or continue battle if it looks like it’s going to be difficult.
Ability to turn solid surfaces to liquid and vice-versa (water -> ice, etc)

this is part 2 of the megaverse cluster idea. lets jump right in shall we?
yesterday we talked about mixing 3 universes together: our world, the demon realm and the monsterverse. we discussed the possible relationships between humans and demons, the tensions between the demons and the catholic church and the threats of titans looming over both realms. lets add in another universe to the mix. this might have the biggest kill count if added but lets see.
universe 729 also known as the silent universe, has the humans of that universe almost extinct and needing to survive with silence. the reason is that a terrestrial alien organism has invaded and started to kill anything that makes sound. unlike modern depictions of aliens, these extraterrestrials act like animals. with long arms and the gravity of earth much lighter than their home planet, these creatures can chase down cars and run faster than Usain bolt. these aliens hunt with sound and anything sound over 50 decibels (from Matpats video) is bound to have the creature know your location. yes i am talking about the a quiet place universe. the creatures here are known as death angels as dubbed by the public. the one weakness the demon realm and human realm can use against the death angels is its super sonic hearing. just like in the movies, the US government might use the high pitched frequencies to make it open its face, revealing the soft tissue inside. they can then shoot the fleshy tissue to kill it. for the demon realm, they can use sound base magic to deter it and possibly make it explode as Matpat pointed out in his video. though what if they can tame it? they would make good guard dogs, be used in the military and even as service pets. meanwhile the death angels in the wild might adapt to its surrounding, becoming part of the natural ecosystem if possible.
universe 666 (you can guess what universe this is-) is just like our universe. until you die. known mostly as the hellaverse, when you die, you get transported to heaven and hell. hell actually does not look like the Christian hell that much, is populated with hell born, sinners, overlords, the seven deadly sins and the ruler, lucifer morningstar. within this depraved city of carnage and death, there are 7 rings based on the 7 deadly sins. starting with the surface level, pride. all sinners live here because they cant go down to the other rings. it is mainly inhabited with some hell born, sinners and the overlords. this ring is ruled over by lucifer Morningstar. next is wrath. home of the imps. these ring is a cowboys wet dream. its a dessert filled with sand, giant volcanoes and imps. this demon is one of the most common and are used as servants for high ranking demons. it is also populated with hell horses and other hellish fauna. this ring is ruled over by Satan. next is gluttony. this place is a whole party for different demons. mainly hell hounds live here but also imps. hell hounds are the lowest class of demons. they are used in slavery, war and as pets. this ring is ruled by Beelzebub. next is greed. the mafia hot spot. this ring is riddled with crime. the main residents are the loan sharks, clown demons and imps. this ring is ruled by Mammon. next is lust. if you wanna get laid, too bad cus like i said, sinners cant go to the other ring. the main inhabitants are the succubus and incubus. this ring is ruled by Asmodeus. next is envy. the underwater ring filled with shark demons and aquatic demons. it is ruled over by Leviathan. lastly there is sloth. this place contributes with their "medicine" and vets. it is ruled by Belphegor.
as of know, no one knows about hell and its system unless IMP slip up and let humans see them.
finally we have universe 1-UP. this is mainly known as the marioverse. filled with the inhabitants like mario, goombas and koopas, there might be good alliances with humans and demons with their friendly nature. but there is still the threat of bowser. so thats bad. anyway i shall leave this post up to you. what do you think @rainbowgod666 ?

Studio Project 2: Self-Directed Research
Artist Research
Francesco Clemente
Often classified as a Neo-Expressionist, Francesco Clemente makes rich gouache paintings and pastel drawings that range from distorted portraits to dreamlike scenes of violence and eroticism. Throughout his strange figurations, Clemente depicts corporeal details such as mutilated limbs, floating eyes, and intertwined bodies with a surrealistic detachment and sense of sublime symbology: Clemente, who splits his time between New York and Varanasi, India, is particularly inspired by Indian mysticism, art, and culture. The artist has exhibited in New York, Milan, Rome, London, Amsterdam, Madrid, and Zürich. Clemente’s work has sold for up to six figures on the secondary market and belongs in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Rubell Museum, the Stedelijk Museum, and the Tate.

"The Seven Deadly Sins are paintings in constant transition: between surface and depth, figure and foliage, light and dark; between mythology and religion, the sacred and profane."
"Nicholas Serota, who recently retired from his twenty-nine-year reign at the Tate, told me that Doig’s paintings “have a kind of mythic quality that’s both ancient and very, very modern. They seem to capture a contemporary sense of anxiety and melancholy and uncertainty. Lately, he’s gone more toward the sort of darkness we associate with Goya.”
"Ornamentation and visual excess have always featured in Ofili’s art"

Emily Eleveth
Emily Eveleth is widely known for her paintings of jelly doughnuts. In fact, The Boston Globe wrote about this fascination in a 2008 article called “It’s time to paint the doughnuts.” She has had over 20 solo shows in museums and galleries on the East Coast, and received masters’ degrees from Smith College and the Massachusetts College of Art.
Spanning the boundaries between portrait, landscape, and object of projected desire, Emily Eveleth’s paintings form a genre unto themselves. Her ongoing series of paintings of doughnuts invests this unlikely subject with unexpected presence and identity. "Eveleth's paintings restlessly shift across a spectrum of meanings, covering along the way all the distances between opposing significances; prosaic and profound, profane and sacred, banal and intriguing, to say nothing of the axis between cool asexuality and gushing, if veiled, sexuality." *
In her concurrent series of figurative images lone figures stand in enigmatic isolation. Lost in private worlds the figures "seem to invite the viewer's gaze, acknowledge it, and then absorb it, folding it into their own particular dramas." ** These figurative projections of doubt and uncertainty appear paradoxical to their central declarative placement and openness. The dramatic lighting's interdependence on the rich enveloping darkness allows the figures to simultaneously emerge from and be enveloped by the inky space, projecting a quiet vulnerability.
Rashid Johnson
My works for the self-directed project depict a series of nightmares stemming from pain, anxiety, trauma, and several other mental health disorders. With the use of Vanitas Symbolism – the kind of painting that was popularised in the 17th century, often featuring still-life arrangements, including fruits, flowers, and other objects as symbols of the transience of life and the inevitability of death, I incorporate symbols of decay, such as wilting flowers or rotting fruits to convey the idea that even the most beautiful and vibrant aspects of life are subject to decay and eventual demise, suggesting a connection to human anguish and the fragility of existence. Moreover, I place decaying or withering fruits or flowers alongside depictions of human suffering or anguish to create a parallel between the ephemeral beauty of nature and the transient nature of human existence. The alignment between the fragile blooms and the sombre or distressed subject matter can evoke feelings of sorrow, mortality, or the fleeting nature of happiness. Plus, fruits and flowers are used metaphorically to represent human emotions and experiences. The work depicting a wilting flower or a bruised fruit symbolises a person's fading or wounded spirit undergoing emotional distress or pain. Similarly, an arrangement of fruits cut open or damaged serves as a metaphor for a human subject's inner turmoil or vulnerability. In terms of the colour palette, the one chosen for the fruits and flowers in a painting contributes to the depiction of human anguish. Dark, muted, or desaturated colours are used to represent sadness, despair, or suffering, while various parts are depicted with sharp contrasts between vibrant and sombre hues can create a sense of tension or conflict.
Georgia O'Keeffe: Known for her large-scale close-up floral paintings, Georgia O'Keeffe often explored the sensual and symbolic qualities of flowers. While her works are not explicitly focused on human suffering, they often evoke a sense of introspection, vulnerability, and emotional depth. Her magnified flower paintings, such as "Black Iris" or "Calla Lily Series," can be interpreted as metaphors for the human experience, including anguish and desire.

'Everything happened so fast. How did this happen?' Diane thought, staring up at the sky. She breathed weakly, blood and bruises all over her. She struggled to keep her eyes from unfocusing.
The Holy Knights was more dangerous than she thought. Diane was in no condition to fight anymore. Not after all of that.
Dreyfus took out a blue spell bead from his armor and held it in front of his mouth. "I am Grand Master Dreyfus."
The people of Liones all looked up at the sky in surprise. The spell bead made it so that Dreyfus' voice was heard throughout the entire kingdom.
"People of Liones, listen to me. At this time, Liones has been infiltrated by the traitors, the Seven Deadly Sins. They have commenced ransacking the kingdom!
"Damn him," Ban muttered, running alongside Meliodas as they tried to get to the castle undetected.
"The Seven Deadly Sins?!" A villager exclaimed. He turned to look at Diane, who was sprawled on the ruins of buildings. "Then that means this giant—!"
"That's right, it's got to be," another villager said. "It's Diane the Serpent Sin!"
Diane squeezed her eyes shut to keep herself from crying as she slowly tried to sit up.
"The Holy War of ancient legend is finally about to begin," Dreyfus said. "But fear not! Liones has its Holy Knights as well as myself! All those able to fight, take up your arms and make a stand!"
Diane finally was able to stand up, leaning on Gideon. The villagers started throwing rocks at her, making her slowly turn around.
"Stop it," she said weakly. "Please... I... I'm not your enemy!"
"Shut up," a man yelled, looking up at her. "Look what you did to our city!"
Diane clenched her jaw and started to limp away.
"Hey, she's getting away! Go after her!"
An explosion went off at her right, causing her to cry out and stumble.
"The giant's started attacking," a man yelled, making the other villagers start to run away.
"You're wrong," Diane weekly protested. "It's not me..."
"What am I doing in a place like this?" Diane mumbled, looking down at the ground. "Humans... The humans' country... What do I care? I've always been alone anyway. And I'll continue to be..."
Diane kept limping forward, blood dripping from her forehead and lips. Guila was running not too far behind, looking for her brother.
She suddenly knelt down, breathing deeply. "No... I made a promise! With Elizabeth and Y/N! I have to help them!" She pushed forward, trying her best to not lose balance or to cry out in pain.
"Diane," Guila exclaimed, seeing the Serpent Sin try her best to keep moving forward. Guila gasped as another explosion went off not too far away. "What was that attack?!"
"The giant, destroying the village as she roams the city. What a stunning visual," a voice said behind her. Guila's eyes widened and she turned around to see the familiar green-haired Holy Knight, Helbram.
"Wait, aren't you the one doing all the destroying, Sir Helbram?" Jericho sweat-dropped, looking up at the Holy Knight.
"Under these circumstances, no matter what I do, the blame will fall on no one but Diane," Helbram said. "It's called staging! Staging!"
"What on earth are you doing?!" Guila yelled, grabbing him by his collar.
"I just told you," Helbram said. "Now that we have a villain, it won't do for her to not wreak havoc. To establish knights as the embodiment of justice, villains are a must. Consummate villains like the Seven Deadly Sins, at that!
"Then what about the reports on the Seven Deadly Sins plotting to take over the kingdom?!" Guila demanded. "Are those lies as well?!"
"Guila, who cares about any of that?" Jericho asked. "Forget that, and let's go after Diane's head together! If we do that—"
"Jericho," Guila cut in. "What did you drink the demon's blood for?"
"Huh?" Jericho said, brows furrowing in confusion.
"Sister," a voice exclaimed, making both Jericho and Guila turn to look at the source.
Guila's little brother, Zeal, was running towards them.
"Sister Guila?!" Zeal cried, running towards them.
"Stay away from here," Guila yelled, eyes widening.
Zeal suddenly froze when he saw Diane not too far away from where he was. "A-A giant?"
Just above him, a building was threatening to fall on him. Zeal looked up, his eyes widening in fear.
"Zeal," Guila screamed, heart dropping as the building began to fall.
Diane suddenly threw herself forward, shielding the boy and the building falling down on her instead. She clenched her jaw, suppressing the urge to scream.
Zeal looked up at Diane's bruised and bloody face. His brown eyes met with her purple ones. "Did you save me?"
"I'm sorry," she mumbled, thinking of you and Elizabeth. "I couldn't do anything for you..." She closed her eyes.
"Looks like it's all over now," Dreyfus said, walking towards the scene. Howzer and Gilthunder walked alongside him.
"Grand Master Dreyfus," Jericho exclaimed. She ran to him. "Please, could you entrust me, Jericho, with the task of taking Diane's head?"
"Very well," he said.
"And when I do," she continued. "Promote me to an upper-level—" Shs suddenly turned her head when she saw Howzer continuing to walk forward.
"What do you think you're doing, Howzer?" Dreyfus said, looking at the blonde man.
"Years ago, you told me this, remember?" He said, turning to look at Dreyfus. "'Only use your own power when you yourself feel it's right.' Well, now is that time!"
"You're going to take us all on by yourself?" Dreyfus asked, glaring at him.
"No," Guila said, standing at Howzer's side. "The two of us will."
Diane's eyes slowly opened at what she had just heard. 'Howzer...? Guila?'

Your eyes stared up at the ceiling of the cavern. Your chest rose and fell with every shallow breath you took. The symbols on your forehead and hands were back to their black color. Your clothes were torn but still able to cover you. How long have you been looking up without seeing?
You weakly turned your head to the side to see that the chains that had bound your body to the stone table were now gone. Despite that, you felt too weak to move. It was as if you had woken up from an incredibly long sleep.
You flexed your fingers and looked down to see that your nails were now pointed at the ends. You touched the symbol that was on the back of your hand. It felt just like regular skin.
You brought your hands up to your face and felt dried tear stains on your cheeks. You blinked and sighed in annoyance at the familiar sensation of your eyes being in pain. It felt as if tiny, cold needles were on your eyelids and poked your eyes every time you blinked.
You slowly sat up, your hands weakly holding the sides of the table to help support you. You gently rolled your shoulders as your bare feet touched the cold ground.
You yelped as you suddenly fell to your knees, hands holding your head. You let out a strangled gasp of pain as the memory of a turquoise-eyed man had surfaced in your mind, your screams of agony faintly heard in the background.
You slowly looked up, breathing calmly. Your eyes slightly widened as you heard an explosion in the distance. The ground of the cavern shook. A surge of aura had gone off in the distance at the same time the explosion occurred. You narrowed your eyes, the glint in them being cold and angered.
You vanished from the cavern in a burst of black and purple flames.

Sooo, your other Seven Deadly Sins. (If you have any.)
What are they like?
I would try to play coy and be like "how do you know I have the other Seven Deadlies planed?" But I've already shared the Google doc about them.
Before I talk about the Deadlies, some word-buildy info:
I was heavily inspired by the otome game Obey Me, so I took some physical designs as homage to the game.
My Seven Deadlies are not siblings. In fact, there are other Seven Deadly Sin groups in this universe. It's not a super common phenomenon and SDs do have some notoriety (and extra power) among other demons.
Seven Deadlies have 3 names each. Their regular name, the sin, and the demon name associated to the sin. That third name makes summoning a bit of a lottery pick. For example, if someone summons Beelzebub, Gula might have to go or it might be one of the other Gluttonies. And if this summoner calls on Beelzebub again, there's not a guarantee they'll get the same Gluttony every time.
Being demons, the Seven Deadlies don't have a set body-type or form. They can be whatever they want. But most do have preferences.
Now, for the Sins!
Bia - Pride - Lucifer
She/Her, trans woman
Black hair, red eyes.
Often wears red make-up.
Fashion style: a mix of Victorian goth-dark academia style, with lots of blacks, reds, greys, and silvers.
Classical, sophisticated, intelligent, academic.
Pretty much good at everything she does.
Probably a perfectionist with failure anxiety.
Very "classical" genre tastes, on the surface.
Quietly into all sorts of alternative stuff, though. (Probably sees it as a guilty pleasure.)
Avarici ("Richie") - Greed - Mammon
He/Him, trans man
White hair, yellow eyes.
Lithe, often runs from people/authorities/etc.
Fashion style: hoodies, cargo pants, good shoes for running. I don't know what you'd call this. lol Likes to wear yellow, gold, and black.
Oh, but he probably changes his style often, just to keep the fuzz off his back.
Gives plasma and blood, has online stores, peddles and pawns.
Sells feet pics (Luxuri probably willingly offers to model)
Made money off Cedia + sleep studies.
Catfishes as an e-domme (using Ira's photos)
Five finger discount extraordinaire (only from huge chain stores; not small businesses.)
Often wears masks or has facial "tats" that keep him from getting caught by facial recognition software and witnesses.
Luxuri (or Luxi) - Lust - Asmodeus
Genderfluid, but gravitates toward he/him most the time.
Extremely apt at changing entire appearance; hair and eye color change a lot. (Other demons generally stick to a set human form, with small things changing.)
He often has dark, wavy hair and purple eyes.
Fashion is slut/bimbo fashion. (Not saying that derogatorily.) With lots of skin exposed, bare midriff, fishnets, stripper heels, etc etc. He also likes hot pink and purple a lot.
Flirty, charismatic.
Probably has identity issues, since they wear a lot of metaphorical masks.
Likely works as an influencer and/or in theater.
Likes fashion, clubbing, music, movies, people.
Ira - Wrath - Satan
She/Her, cis woman
Buff lady
Blonde, green eyes. Scar over left eye. Probably other scars too.
Stunt woman and/or MMA fighter.
Fashion swings from "gym rat" to "classical 50s lady."
Blunt in how she speaks. Often mistaken for being angry.
Trist - Envy - Leviathan
They/Them
Purple hair, orange eyes.
Wants to wear creative and out-there styles, but probably just sticks to jeans, tee-shirts, and hoodies.
Artist (likely has imposter syndrome)
Likes: Anime, cartoons, cosplay, video games.
Has social anxiety.
Gula - Gluttony - Beelzebub
He/Him, cis man.
Orange hair, purple eyes, freckled tan skin. (has a blonde streak in hair, because Cedia wanted to try being a hairstylist, but lost interest.)
Wears a man bun (but his hair is not as long as Cedia's.)
Fashion style is whatever he feels like wearing at the moment; though he has a lot of sleeveless shirts and cargo shorts (for snacks.)
Works as a chef/baker, because... yeah, of course he does.
Built, but not as buff as Ira.
Tallest of the sins, in human form.
Cedia - Sloth - Belphegor
They/Them or She/Her
Super long blue-black hair, usually left down and messy.
Pale, pale blue eyes.
Fashion revolves around comfort: sweats, sweaters, scarfs, etc.
Tries a lot of things but doesn't stick with them.
Good writer with tons of WIPs.
Lots of unfinished video games.
Lots of unfinished, half-read books.
Likes plushies, soft blankets, bean bag chairs, etc.

You know what? I think it was actually watching a Myst LP that brought this to the surface, based on what little I know about FMA. Family drama caused or exacerbated by a unique magic system with strict rules and a bit of a steampunk edge. That is the vibe that my brain connected. I suspect it is probably way off about FMA but I guess I’ll find out.
And idk if talking about this will bring fans out of the woodwork, but looking at the Mark Watches page for the first episode gave me the urge to describe what I know before I begin. It’s… a way to pass the time until work is over, I guess.
I plan to watch Brotherhood. My brother in law recommended that when I first expressed an interest a couple years ago, and my glance at Mark Watches confirmed that should be a legit place to start. Dubbed, if anyone cares. Technically dubbed and subbed, I process dialogue better that way.
So here’s what I know, and I have no idea whether any of it is Major Spoilers—it’s just stuff I picked up from tumblr and tvtropes over the years.
Two brothers, Al and Ed. They tried to used alchemy to resurrect their… parents I think? Maybe just one? ...and because of equivalent exchange it backfired and the one brother lost an arm and a leg and the other lost his entire body. I do not know if the resurrection worked at all but my theory from what I know is that a proper resurrection would have cost a life, and refusing to allow that is why with the backfiring. So now Ed is an insufferable child prodigy alchemist who works for the military, and I have no idea whether people other than Ed even consider Al still a person because he lives in a suit of armor to simulate a body.
I am pretty sure the classic Minecraft mod Equivalent Exchange was inspired by this alchemy magic system, but I do not recall exactly why I believe that. Also pretty sure the alchemy magic system heavily involves the concept of equivalent exchange, beyond that it’s just… symbols maybe? Transmutation?
There’s an awesome military lady and a large man. Some kind of war going on probably.
There are people or beings who are like humanoid embodiments of the seven deadly sins for some reason. Not sure how that works in the slightest. And there’s something called Father that… eats people? Unless these are from a different anime and I mixed it all up in my memory. Who knows! I would assume that if these fellows are present they are antagonists, but you never know.
And that’s the extent of my knowledge. I’m not sure I will have the wherewithal to do anything resembling live-blogging or immediate reactions, but I might if only to avoid pestering real-life people who are busy. It would be cool to know whether anything I know is like The Big Twist or anything; pretty sure even if it is I do not have the foundation to understand why yet. But no further spoilers, please, if I did manage to awaken the fandom. If all goes well I will try to start watching it tonight.

BNHA Seven Deadly Sins
Need a bit of help
Though up an AU for BNHA. This isn’t Seven Deadly Sins Anime AU, instead this takes place in a universe that looks normal on the surface but there are demons, angels, and all sort of monsters and magical beings living under humans noses. All Might is a Demon King who is ready to retire and chooses Izuku as his successor. I feel like this might be tipping in Villain BNHA, there are many demon rituals, mature themes, gore and all that. It’s dark but dark with twisted comedy.
Anyway its Izuku’s job as the successor is to select the next generation of the Seven Deadly Sins (like a court).
Seven Deadly Sins
Sloth - Aizawa (does this even need an explanation lol).  He is from the previous generation and is acting as an advisor for Izuku.
Pride - Bakugou. Izuku still has a complicated past with Bakugou just like in the anime. There was the bullying but there he can’t get rid of the respect he has for Ka-chan so he’s the first one to be chosen (although Izuku does let him suffer a bit) and becomes his right-hand man
Envy - Shinso. So I saw that some people had him as sloth and I considered it but I found him too hardworking. He has big goals and knows he’s capable, is never given a chance and is always left behind.
Lust - Todoroki. I know some people won’t agree with this one but I just thought it would be fun. Plus, I think Todoroki was denied many things as a kid because of his father. He’s suppressed many of his desires and it slowly killing him inside. Then Izuku finally comes along and gives him a chance to break free
Gluttony - Denki. Gluttony was defined as a failure of self-control and I immediately though about Denki and how he can’t control his powers and results in causing harm to him and the people he loves around him. Maybe even thinking of letting him be a mage, one of the few magical beings before becoming a demon, you know angst and all that trauma to my sweet boy, that makes him suppress his powers
Greed - Kirishima. This one was a bit tricky but Kiri isn’t greedy in terms of wealth and money. His greed is in misplaced competitiveness and his compulsion turned obsession to acquire strength. He’s an athlete in this universe and while still looks like a cinnamon roll still has his demons. (I’m still a bit unsure of this because people say greed is over material things)
Now the only one I’m missing is Wrath/Anger. I’ve had ideas like Ida but I need a solid background story. Any suggestions, I was thinking of keeping it limited to the Hero Program but I open to anything right now. Feel free to refute my selection for the seven deadly sins too. If you have better ones I’m open since I’m still putting the core piece of the story together. Possible ships are all in the air too.
Do you think it would also be a twist if I made the league of villains the seven heavenly virtues?

Dance Like It’s the Last Night
Summary: After the worries of the Holy War lie in the past, King and Diane share a dance. (Posted earlier on ao3 over here.)
Music seeped out of the arched windows of the great hall, an orchestra of flutes, harps, and other instruments King couldn’t call by name. The band played a merry tune, and the human pairs turned on the marble dance floor with wide, sweeping steps. All these hearts burst with cheer and the numb joy of a glass of wine too many. With the Holy War reduced to a terrible memory, the guests of the party had every reason to indulge in the conveniences of peace: a careless dance, an overabundance of food and beverages paid for by the royals of Liones, a night devoid of worries. King’s head spun from all the delight. He was still learning to control his ability to read the hearts of others, and in the crowded space of the ball room, the amount of pleasure screaming from the guests’ hearts overwhelmed him.
Outside, on the wide terrace hugging the palace’s gardens, his thoughts cleared in the cool of the night. A breeze smelling of grass and conifer brushed his cheeks and reminded him of home. The park within Liones’ limestone walls hardly measured hundred yards in length, but the ghostly scent of a forest still lingered in the air, like a faint memory of the time when the plains of Liones had housed a massive woodland instead.
King took a deep breath and let the tension from inside the grand hall fall from his body. As impressive as the forest of pillars and the detailed carvings of plants and animals were in the light of a hundred candles, he preferred the sounds and scents of a real forest. The whisper of leaves when a gust awoke them from slumber, the tapestry of bluebells and anemones and uncounted other flowers, the unique bark of a cherry tree under his fingertips.
Here in the garden, King could pretend to walk past the tree trunks of his homeland.
As much as he enjoyed the chance to celebrate with the Captain and the other Sins the news of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, he missed the Fairy King’s Forest. He missed the voices of the trees, the chatter of the Fairies, his people, and he missed the warmth of the morning sun when its rays trickled through the canopy to wake him.
Why had he grown this new kind of attachment after the end of the war? King had looked back at his home with fondness during his days as a member of the Seven Deadly Sins as well, but this aching whenever political matters forced him to leave was new.
And no matter how often he contemplated, he failed to find the reason why.
The soft grass under his feet allowed King to traverse the garden in silence, past the box tree hedges and rose beds until the music and laughter from inside dissipated in the night. The flood of emotions quieted to a gentle whisper in the back of his mind – only one heart remained as a beacon of clarity, a light to tear King forward. The sight of a figure on the lawn ahead silenced all other thoughts.
The female silhouette commanded the scenery, one hand outstretched towards the stars in a perfect line with her extended leg. The moonlight made her skin shimmer like peonies against the dark of the garden walls as she waited for an inaudible cue.
And then she began to dance.
She broke the perfect line to pirouette, slow at first, as if she needed her body to remember these patterns. Soon her movements became faster, gained more confidence as her feet chased each other across the grassy stage to a tune only she could hear. Her toes described perfect circles in the air with every turn, and whenever she jumped, she seemed to fly a heartbeat before she continued her performance. Her hands weaved complex patterns in the air, driven by a rhythm and a flow King didn’t understand. His eyes followed her every move, magnetized by the dancer’s beauty in the silence of the night. The leaves of the nearby foliage leaned forward, lured by the beauty of the dance, and the earth itself hummed every time she placed a foot on its surface.
She spun faster and faster as her performance neared its finale. Her brown locks danced around her head. And if King hadn’t loved this woman with all his heart already, he would have fallen for her in an instance.
Diane remained unaware of her spectator and shifted into slower patterns with sweeping steps until King cleared his throat. Startled, she tripped before lowering into a defensive pose. In less than a second, she had traded the grace of a dancer for the grace of a warrior. A Giant queen her people should be proud of. But when Diane recognized the translucent shape on King’s wings as the light of the moon gleamed through them, she straightened and smiled.
“The last time you cleared your throat like that, you were about to propose to me,” Diane said and hopped across the lawn to wrap her arms around King’s neck.
“I wouldn’t mind asking you again,” King said. With the shadows cast over the garden, her wonderful violet eyes looked almost black. Only the stars painted sparks into them. “You are so beautiful when you dance. Why don’t you want to do it inside too, where everyone can admire you?”
Diane turned her head in an attempt to hide her burning cheeks behind the vail of one of her pigtails. But with her hands folded behind his neck, the result was rather lackluster. “They would all stare at me. I don’t know the dances they do. All these humans look so pretty in their silk dresses and with the precise dance patterns all of them have memorized so well. I wouldn’t fit in.”
“I don’t either,” King said. “All the candles in their golden chandeliers look nice, but compared to the stars out here, they are cheap imitations. In the light inside, I don’t feel as real as I do outside. It’s so unlike the Fairy King’s Forest… does this make any sense?”
“I know what you mean. I can’t feel the warm presence of the earth inside buildings the same way I do here. All this marble and alabaster and granite is beautiful, and I’ll never get tired of following their patterns with my eyes. But they don’t talk to me. Not like the earth back home does.”
“Two friends we are if we can’t even attend the Captain’s celebration for one evening. I’m sure he would have liked to ask you for a dance.”
Diane chuckled. “I doubt that, he only had eyes for Elizabeth throughout the whole evening. He barely made it through his speech without jumping back onto her lap. But what about you? Are there any rivals I have to look out for? That cutesy blond girl in the green dress?”
“What girl?” King asked, and Diane pulled away to award his inattentiveness with a nudge to his shoulders and a shake of the head.
“She had been staring at you ever since we entered the hall. I think she wanted to hand you a drink, but Ban pried the glass right out of her hand.”
King frowned. “I don’t remember her. And in any case, I doubt she or anyone else for that matter would ask the Fairy King for a dance.”
Diane’s eyes lit up as an idea sprung to her mind. The excitement complimented her cheeks so well, almost as well as a blush. But before King could put his affection into words, Diane took his hand and pulled him forward, away from the rhododendron bushes and back to her dance floor. She raised the hand holding his and placed the other one on his shoulder.
“Challenge accepted,” she said and looked up to him with an expectant gaze.
“Wha-what?”
King’s mind left him hanging. For several seconds, he stood frozen in place, one hand intertwined with Diane’s while she waited for him to take the lead. He thought about how much she had to freeze in the light dress he had sown for her. About how much the slim gold circlet complimented her face. In fact, he thought about anything but the right way to position his feet in order to initiate a dance.
“The excuse ‘I can’t dance’ doesn’t fly. I know for a fact that you can.” Tired of waiting, Diane placed King’s free hand at her waist and took the first step forward.
King stumbled backwards to avoid their bodies crashing into each other, but before he could tumble further, a spin initiated by Diane pulled him in the opposite direction. Their first steps reeked of hesitance, of the clumsy attempts lovers make when they are still uncertain about the affection of the other. The affair had more in common with a battle. King evaded Diane’s forward movements, and they always kept one foot of distance between them, a back and forth that carried them across the lawn. But thanks to the familiar strength of her presence, the presence he had been drawn towards for centuries, King’s hands relaxed, and his feet took over for him. Diane handed over control with a smile, and from one moment to the next King guided her through a unique variant of the dance they had watched the humans perform inside. They adapted a few patterns, the brief moment to part as far as their intertwined fingers allowed, but their spins were narrower, and the strict combinations soon disappeared in pure instinct.
King and Diane turned and turned, rotated around the gravitational pull of the other like two blinding stars. King had rarely been this grateful to have met the woman in his arms, so long ago when he had known nothing except for his name and the love he held for the girl that had saved him. The world beyond her face blurred to shadows.
Breathless but too ecstatic to notice, King spun Diane, and she used the extra swing to land in his arms, a smile wide as the world on her lips. They pulled closer still until the space between them ceased to exist.
They became one.
Diane’s joy became King’s joy. King’s rapid heartbeat became Diane’s heartbeat.
The silent music they danced to slowed to its final notes, and the pair swung across the stage for the closing steps. Diane rested her head against King’s shoulder; her hair tickled his cheek. He pulled her closer, relished the touch of her skin.
The dance ended, but the two remained engulfed in the presence of each other, and neither dared to move, afraid to disturb the beauty of the moment. King took in Diane’s scent and smiled to himself. Daisies. The flower he had grown to love when he and Diane had shared their days in a cave by the riverside, the flower he had grown to hate during the infinite hours in prison, caged by the knowledge that the girl he loved had forgotten him, the flower he had fallen in love with all over again when Diane had reentered his life against all odds.
Now she was his. And they would never part for as long as their heartbeats sounded on.
King placed a loose strand behind Diane’s ear. “I love you.”
“I love you, King. More than anyone else in this whole world and all the other realms on top. If you ever have doubts about it, just remember this moment.”
King would never have these doubts again, he was certain of it. Diane’s heart radiated with an affection as pure as her words.
And King realized why he had grown this new kind of affection for his home. He didn’t long for the voices of the trees or the warmth of the morning sun or even the tapestry and scent of a hundred flowers. He longed for Diane’s voice, for her warmth, for her scent. She was his home, his everything. After seven hundred years he should have learned this truth.
“I want to go back to the Forest with you,” King said. “I want to forget all these people in the lights of their chandeliers and only be with you.”
“You can be so greedy,” Diane said and tiptoed to place a kiss on his cheek. “I want to be with you too, until we both are old and grey and our great-grandchildren play on a clearing around us. But we have time. So much more than all these people inside have. I don’t want to break anything by moving too fast. You know what they say about a Giant between porcelain market stalls.”
“The human who came up with that saying clearly had no idea what they were talking about. You are more graceful and careful than anyone else I know. But maybe you are right. Maybe we should enjoy the company of the others to the fullest.”
As long as we still can. Neither of them dared to mention this condition, but the thought weighed on both their minds. King felt the worry clawing inside Diane’s heart like a twin of his own concern. But these fears were distant, their shadows had no staying power tonight. Tonight, they had every reason to look into the future with joy and excitement. Because of the tiny light of life within Elizabeth they had come here to celebrate and that would soon be born. And because of the tiny light King and Diane had of their own.
Life moved on. And for once, King knew no reluctance in accepting this truth.
In silent agreement, King and Diane strolled back towards where the party filled the air with the short-lived laughter of humans and the intoxicating scent of wine and too many people cramped in a place too small. With Diane by his side, King managed to shut out the overload of joyous emotions and only focused on her hand in his. The skin was hardened from battle but her grip was gentle.
At the edge of the terrace, where the candlelight painted squares onto the limestone, King stopped and turned to Diane. “Will you do me a favor?”
“Everything,” Diane said.
“Ask me for another dance inside.”
Diane smiled and made the first step onto the dancefloor. “I’ll make sure of it.”

THOUGHTS:
On the dead coming back? well, without the dead coming back i wouldn’t be here. while i’m worried i may hurt the people i love i also am grateful to be alive again or.. undead? i don’t really know the proper terms here
Enemies coming back ? that part i could do without, there’s a certain doppelganger i’m sure is out to ruin me one way or another, it’s all she does since she learned of my existence
Love At First Sight ? i believe that is very possible, yes
One True Love / Someone You Will Always Love ? well i’m married to him, so. i’ll always love damon he is everything i needed before i even knew i needed it when i was younger.
QUESTIONS:
What is their family history like? How does it affect them? How do they feel about their family? How does their family feel about them? my family history is insane. i literally come from a line of doppelgangers, every 500 years theres been someone born with my face and then my other families side is hunters of vampires. throw in some birth parents, adoptive parents.. that’s just scratching the surface.
who were their first love and do they feel the same now as they did then? my first love was stefan, he was there in a time when i needed it most and i wouldn’t change a thing about that relationship besides hurting him the way that i did in the end, but we’ve moved past that now, i do still love him but more so in a family kind of way now
Do they believe that a person can redeem themselves from mistakes of the past? absolutely, most people are able to redeem themselves and i’ve seen it with people i’m close to. however, some people choose to stick to their toxic patterns
How do they feel about death? Have they been significantly affected by it? i’ve lost literally every singe person i’ve loved at one point or another. both sets of parents died, brother died, husband died and came back, his brother did as well, i died myself. death surrounds me and it never gets better
What is one thing in their past they’re ashamed of? One thing they’re proud of? ashamed of burning my house down to the ground, i was grieving but it still wasn’t my best moment. im proud that after i took the cure that i took my life into my own hands and became a doctor like i wanted.
Pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. If your character was a seven deadly sin, what would they be and why? i think i’d be a mixture between pride and gluttony, i indulge too much into things and do not like to admit when i am wrong.
PICK TWO:
lyric that describes your character best : I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet. shoot me down, but I get up. i’m bulletproof, nothing to lose. fire away, fire away.
quotes that your character lives by : nothing is impossible, the word itself says im possible - audrey hepburn
fictional characters that your character can relate to : peyton sawyer

Hey, are there any manga/anime you'd recommend with characters similar to Garou? Similar in character development as much as general vibe/design (Inosuke is an excellent example; feral dude seeking strength yet having plenty of soft spots).
Oh! :O Hmm…so a while back another anon suggested Fox boy Ban from Seven Deadly Sins for the immediate resemblance. (However I haven’t followed that series myself to note/rec anything deeper than just his visual design.) And I’m sure in a general sense there’s likely many other characters with common angry feral traits (like Inosuke) on a similar surface level (including the classic archetypal characters like Vegeta during the Buu arc and such.) But if we’re going even deeper (comparing similar character arcs + growth)…I’m gonna go out on a limb to describe one of my absolute favorite characters, who I didn’t even realize until recently (and when I did, I mentally punched myself for not making the connection sooner) has many similarities with Garou!
Ahem, so we have the designated ‘Strongest Monster,’ a natural prodigy who’s peerless and most graceful at their craft (literally the no.1, who can also effortlessly copy others’ fighting styles), with quite the sassy/mean/prideful attitude, including being standoffish and unapproachable at first. But through the unlikely meeting + saving of a child, slowly warms and learns to care and reconnect with their humanity (including becoming softer and showing mercy), is compelled to protect the child at all costs, makes a huge fate-altering choice because of it, and is hunted down (also outnumbered) to be executed ‘as the bad guy’ for sticking to their moral guns about it. But most importantly, because of their budding relationship caring for a child (essentially becoming a surrogate parent/guardian), they find something way more valuable than anything they’ve previously fought for: a newfound reason to live. So yep, they too were saved and inspired from what that child taught them to see about themselves. Now doesn’t all of this feel frighteningly familiar?
The character I’ve just described is none other than Teresa of the Faint Smile, my fav fictional woman, from the series Claymore. Surprised? Just take a look:
Tumblr media
An unlikely meeting + char growth bonding with a kid, even down to repeating these exact same lines:
Tumblr media
I’m a monster. I didn’t come here to save you. Go home/get lost. Into:
Tumblr media
(That guy’s already dead in a bloody spray next panel for daring to hurt the kid!)
Her brand of feral ‘mama bear’ as the equivalent to Garou’s ‘papa wolf’ trope:
Tumblr media
Oho and does she go for the slaughter in her rage~ Towards her newfound epiphany thanks to what the kid taught her:
Tumblr media
(Very webcomic familiar.) Bonus fun Garou-like attitude/traits:
Tumblr media
Heh, truly she’s the unrivaled best and she knows it. Her backstory starts at ch12 of the manga for those curious. Fair warning though, overall it’s a tragic story, but there’s a wholesome light at the end of the tunnel for the final volume~ (It’s completed.) The mc is actually that child, following how strongly Teresa influenced her. (So imagine if there’s a story following the similarly blubbering Tareo, who gained enough strength, agency, and inspiration post-arc to become just like Garou, then there you go! 8′D) Years ago, Madhouse also happened to adapt the anime before the manga ended, so it had a non-canon anime-original ending, not recommended. (So if there’s any series deserving another faithful reboot brotherhood style, it’s this one. Oh, but she was also voiced by Romi Paku, my fav female va, so that’s a plus!)
Also Teresa’s aesthetic, in contrast to Garou’s, is more light/goddess/Valkyrie-like (yup, even the wings) as opposed to the gritty darkness + count devil stuff from him in the webcomic. So her overall design is much cleaner and prob different in vibe to his (she’s still graceful/sexy tho), but everything else, from the monster stuff (she is literally half-monster/human, cause that’s what Claymores in this story are; plus she even gains the awareness to question who the world’s real ‘monsters’ are, humans), cool sassy attitude, character development + reconnecting with her humanity, relations with a child (like Tareo) she protects, to learning stronger truths about herself because of that kid…all of that is the closest equivalent character arc I’ve seen. And it’s so funny cause I’ve been a fan of her for years (way before I was into opm) until I was like…‘oh no, ahhhh! all of this is coming back to me’ recognizing some of that same consistent stuff I’m into (that I didn’t even realize at first) actively happening with manga Garou. :’D As of yet, I haven’t run across any other fictional woman to top her power/impact the same way, so she’s my favorite female character. (Except I’m betting on ONE + Murata to end up topping everything in the feels department when they come to the end of Garou’s arc in the manga! 8′D) So yup, it’s recommended to check out the Claymore manga to see just how cool she is!

Disclaimer: These stories are based ‘loosely’ on the game Obey me shall we date. The major stuff will be the same, but here and there the story will be changed or embellished. It is just an AU and I do not own the game the characters, from both One Piece or Obey Me, nor do I own One Piece in general. It would be cool though…
Warning: The characters will mostly be ooc and for the most part will not have the same background as in the anime/manga. The reader’s age will be above consent; the exact number is up to you.

Various Characters X Reader
The boys were homesick. Three days away and more than a hundred human lifetimes in the house of lamentation goes down the drain. They all moaned their loss as soon as they walked in through the door. Imploring the unknown future to let them rest in their safe haven.
Gathering in the kitchen, the first thing they did was prepare a nice lunch, having left before they could eat anything. Inviting you to join in with them, you all laughed and played in the newly finished kitchen that none of you have yet to test out. Reminiscing on your stay in the palace. Poking fun at the small fights and the constant visits to the underground labyrinth. Law sniveled over his lost pet while Sanji proudly pronounced the new pact he’d made.
All throughout the meal, the chatter continued. Even as it ended and the table was cleared, the conversation didn’t end. It just moved on to the living room, all sitting around each other to better listen. The stories didn’t stop at the retreat. Bringing up past stories, and mementos that they’ve all kept. Your shenanigans with the siblings being a popular topic of conversation. Sabo leading the cheerful atmosphere to a more subdued one.
“Y/n, you’ve already made pacts with four of my brothers, what’s your end goal?” He didn’t beat around the bush. He needed to know the truth and so did his brothers. All of them deserved to know.
“A-ah well you see…” There was a pressure in the room that was palpable, different from when the demon brothers showed their true forms. It wasn’t suffocating, so to say, but it was dizzying having to think of a lie. You were doing this for Zoro, so he could make up with Sabo. At first, when you first told him you’d do it, it was because you pitied him. He seemed so desolate. Then you got closer to the brothers. There was this undeniably human urge to help them. You wanted to make their family whole like it was before the war. Before the protest. Before the heartbreak of losing someone they loved. It was a human cliche to want to fix a broken person, but this was more than one single person. It was a whole family being held together by lies and deceit. They were grief-stricken. Grasping at whatever they could so that their last remaining strands of normalcy stayed. It wasn’t a lie you wanted to help them all. It wasn’t just for Zoro anymore. So you told the truth, for the first time. Albeit, leaving out a few details.
“I’ve seen how well you all seem to get along… but there’s this underlying… how should I put this…” You put a balled hand up to your chin, thinking of a way to say this without being rude. “I don’t mean to step out of line…. But you all seem sad. There are times where you all seclude yourselves and I don’t know.” You ran your hand through your hair. Looking anywhere but them, you distracted yourself from the embarrassing statement. “Maybe it’s because I’m human, but I want to see you all get along.” The brothers were confused, they thought they had been getting along. Sure they had their sad days, but who didn’t? “I know that you guys have your times when you do, but there are other times when you all can barely hang out together?” you knew how this was sounding. You didn’t mean it like that! Waving your hands in front of you, you tried to fix your mistake. “I-i mean there’s just a coldness in the room… I uh….” Blood rushed to your face, you were making a fool of yourself. You should just wrap it up. “I just wanna see you guys hang out comfortably all the time because even if you don’t I see you all as friends!” Your face was hot, and your hands shook. It was embarrassing to admit this, but you needed to say something. “Oh Y/n, I love how much you care for us!” Sanji swooned over to you, taking your hand in his, he leaned in close. Dropping his voice lower, he murmured in your ear, “and It’s so cute how flustered you got.”
Law and Luffy thanked you for looking out for their family while Kid fought with Sanji. He wanted him to let go of you, but the other didn’t relent. You all lost yourselves in your own little bubble; maybe if you had paid more attention you would have noticed the suspicious look Sabo sent you. He was skeptical of your intentions. He believed you wanted to help. He just didn’t think that what you said was the whole truth. Ace noticed it too. He might be tempestuous and distant, but he was also smart. He too knew you were hiding something. And he knew how much it irked Sabo to not know the full truth. Ace liked to irritate Sabo, and if you were hell-bent on getting them to grow closer. The answer was one in the same. Out of the spite he had, he’d make an offer. One you couldn’t refuse.
“Y/n.” You pulled away from Kid and Sanji who were still grumbling about not letting the other lay a hand on you. “Yeah?”
“You’ll need my pact too, right? I’m willing.” He seemed smug. He knew how mad Sabo would get if he offered himself without a thought. They argued back and forth, about how he wasn’t doing this because he wanted to make a pact. Ace was doing it because he liked to rile him up. Back and forth they went. It was close to physical at some point, but the others separated them. Telling them to go to their rooms to cool off.
There it was again. A constricting force in the room. Ace and Sabo fought all the time, usually it was yelling. If it leads to anything more physical one of the brothers would tell them to go to their corners. It made you wonder what could have happened to turn their relationship so sour. Right now wasn’t a good time, you’ll wait for later that night and ask one of the brothers you had a pact with. Kid or Law, they were the most likely to give out information.
After everyone left for their rooms for the night you felt it safe to poke at the conflict the two brothers seemed to share. You texted the group chat you had with Kid and Law, asking if they could provide some answers or if it would be best to speak to Ace in person. They both spammed you with messages saying that you shouldn’t bring it up to him, ESPECIALLY not in person. Law offered to fill you in on what happened at the cost that you come over. It was a small risk, but a risk nonetheless. Sabo didn’t like you wandering around late at night. Though you wanted to know the truth more than you feared the reprimand you would get if you were caught. So you went over with Kid tagging along. Obviously he would, for ‘help with the storytelling,’ as he put it.
Law’s room hadn’t changed since the last time you were here. Papers were still strewn around on his desk; comic books and books alike were still piled high on the coffee table, the floor, his bed, any surface really. His beloved series is still center stage in this whole mess. It was probably the only thing that looked like it wasn’t in disarray, Law included. He had dark bags under his eyes and seemed to only change between the same three outfits. Always adorning it with his beloved long coat.
“Can’t believe you live in this mess.” It looks like Sabo wasn’t the only one scolding Law for the state of his room. Kid pushed books off of Law’s bed to make way for himself, all the while continuing to grumble about the mess. “At least it’s not a scrap pile like yours.” Angrily, Law collected the books from the floor and stacked them in a pile by the bed. “I have them organized! And I use them, unlike you who reads the book once and never picks it up again.” Kid grabbed a book of the pile next to him, “I mean, come on. Med books? Who’d read these in the first place!” Kid tossed it back onto the floor. “I read them! And study them! If you’ve forgotten I’m a licensed surgeon.”
“Surgeon my ass. The only reason that you’re allowed to do any of your sadistic testings on people is that the people at the hospitals are too afraid to tell you to fuck off!” sparks were flying between the both of them, you needed to end this now. “Will you both stop! Two brothers fighting in one night is enough!” Law turns to you, still simmering in the heat of the moment, “Is that an order, master? Gonna keep telling us what to do?” How could he think that! You would never abuse your power over them. “No, it’s not. But the fighting is getting us nowhere.” The tension in the room is thick, both of them not wanting to let the other have the last word. It soon dissipated as Law decided it was time to get the point of this meeting. “Well… about why Ace hates Sabo. He doesn’t really hate him per se.” Law kept his eye on Kid, who continued to move his things around. “How should I put this… the more alike two people are the more they hate each other?” Kid scoffed, “why don’t you start from the beginning. You’re just gonna confuse her.”
Law crossed his arms, “if you’re so great at telling stories, why don’t you?” Still fighting, really? “Fine, I will. Sit down pee-squeak, I’ll try to make it short.” he patted the spot next to him. Making himself right at home, isn’t he. “You know what we are, right? The seven deadly sins,” He answers his own question, classy. “We only became that after we started to revolt against our father, god”
“Before we became that we were the seven heavenly virtues. Chastity, abstinence, liberality, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility.” Law noticed Kid settling down, deciding that he wasn’t gonna move anymore of his stuff, he sat at his desk. “Ace was the first of us to fully change,” Law continued the story from his new spot, “the civil war in Heaven fueled his anger. It was like a punishment from falling from Heaven. Straying from the path of righteousness,”
“Ace was all rage and frustration when we first got here.”Kid breathed out heavily from beside you. He remembered the bout of anger his brother had. It wasn’t easy to see one’s own family be consumed by such an emotion. There was the hate for the war and towards his brothers. Hate towards himself. Ace couldn’t help it, he was just so angry all the time now. They all had to go through that with him. “We had to keep reassuring him. Teaching him how to cope.” Law rubbed at his face, insomnia finally letting his shoulder droop in tiredness. “Sabo doted on him. He felt guilty for making us fall out of grace.”
“But it wasn’t his fault,” Kid interjected, “we CHOSE to follow. We saw how corrupted it was getting in Heaven too.” you’ve heard from Luffy that it was, but just what was it that made Heaven corrupted? “If you don’t mind me asking, how was it corrupted?”
“That’s a whole other story, sweetheart.” Law said, “short version, there was gonna be a war between Heaven and Hell. Demons were amassing an army, but it’s so hard to be good these days.” Law’s eyes widen as he raises his hands, feigning shock. “Heaven didn’t have many soldiers so they had to get some.”
“A war between Heaven and Hell?”
“Yes, that was with the old king, but rules around here are different. If you can defeat the king you get to rule.” That’s why Shanks is in office right now… erm palace. That also explains why after all this time and fighting, Hell wanted the three realms to get along.
“Ahem,” Kid clears his throat, “back to the story, Sabo doted on Ace. They got close for a while, but soon after we found out Sabo swore his loyalty to Shanks.” Law followed him up, “It wasn’t just that he swore his loyalty to brand new king. It was that he tried to hide it.” That must have made Ace feel betrayed. His loyalty to his father was terminated in such a disastrous way. He wouldn’t have wanted to pledge his loyalty so soon, nor would he have wanted his brothers too. After Ace and Sabo had gotten close, to have the newfound avatar of pride throw his dignity away and swear his loyalty. It must have been a hard blow. One that must have broken Ace’s trust even more. Cracking their bond as brothers. Sabo didn’t just put his pride away for this, he put doubt in the strength the brothers held. This thought must have festered until Ace just found himself hating Sabo.
*Author’s note: I changed how wrath got was birthed or whatever to this to go into more depth. (In truth I forgot about the circumstances of his birth so I decided to just roll with this.) (Later I did find out but decided to keep it this way.) Also, I changed the scene to only envy and avarice because too many characters in one scene make me stressed out.😓*
