a small smile pulled on her lips at his answer before turning her head to face him. “i’m actually torn between lavender and maroon, i love my signature lavender but i’m also wondering if my room needs a change to match the do.” she mused, referring to her hair. “yeah since jo left i think want to make the space entirely my own.. maybe you could help me paint?”

a laugh left lizzies lips at bonnies words, she never had a doubt her aunt would be a great person for the job. she was hands down one of the best witches their time has ever seen. “they’re annoying and testy, always power hungry too.” her eyes rolled. “i’ve only recently began to rise above so you’re already doing better than me. but no none of them have said anything bad that i’ve heard - then again they would likely be too scared that i’d go bitchy lizzie on them.”

"those are the few good moments, though I can never manage to keep upright with skating. are you good at skating?” she asked curiously, smiling at the waitress who put down two menus.

"I mean I guess that’s a way to look at it, very dreary but accurate.” she mused and shrugged her shoulders. “but i guess so was my outlook with complaining.” the witch said.

“that is very true.” she did always feel most connected to the earth, the way the greenery and everything about nature made her feel at home. “this town is practically a beacon to witches it seems, i’ve only been here for a little over a year and i can feel that.”

addies shoulders lifted to a shrug. “i take nightly strolls out here often and never see others, maybe it’s just a timing thing.” which was partially true, but she didn’t need to reveal the semantics of all of that. “i’d say a bit of both, i enjoyed myself and got some insight and clarity. what about you? are you a regular for walks into the woods?”

"i think so too, I like to immerse myself in the nature you know?” she asked, though it was said more rhetorically.  “the snow gives it an extra touch of special, at least in my opinion.” she mused and pulled the mittens from her pocket and slipped her hands into them.

“Well… part of me likes nights in the woods now. I used to be freaked out by it but now with all that has happened, it’s sort of comforting. Is that weird?” Albie asked, rubbing the back of his neck. “I was running. I feel like I have so much more energy now. I need to get it out, you know?” He looked around. “What are you doing out here?” He knew he could handle herself, but it was also dangerous. He may have been a nice hybrid but others lurking in the shadows might not have been so sweet. 

the elder langely smiled at her younger brother, it was good to hear that he was able to find some sort of solace. “good, alb. i’m really happy to hear that you’re finding something to help comfort you.” the blonde mused and shook her head as she began to lead the way out of the woods. “i was just doing some magic, letting loose and writing in my grimoire. i do the best when i’m isolated.”

Or is Damon making himself useful?” Bonnie questioned with a grin. She had already bought tons of things for the baby, probably too much. But she was trying to beat Caroline out for favorite aunt. 

the doppelganger wrapped her arms around the witch, smiling in the embrace before pulling back after a few moments. “damon is helping for sure, it’s actually a sight to see. but i could always use my best friends help, maybe you can help with something a little more special, a bonnie bennett original feather mobile?”

elena laughed softly, sipping from the cup of hot chocolate and she kept a soft smile on her lips. “oh yeah, your niece and i are very warm. hot chocolates helping.” she said, the feeling of joy spreading through her as she did. “damon and i haven’t told anyone else it’s a girl yet.” she was so glad her best friend could be a part of her journey.

It was wild to think that they were both human now after all the both of them had been through. Their line had seemingly ended but now there was another on the way. Only in Mystic Falls. 

“don’t worry, we’ll both be long dead before another one of our faces are here.” she mused, looking from her large bump to the older doppelganger standing before her. while before she had a deep hatred for katherine, now being the one who was pregnant she could understand what the thought of loss of a child would do to someone.
