They are all from different fandoms and I genuinely love their works. I am not here to hate on anyone at all, simply here to bring attention to those creators I find worth reading. @frogchiro - This creator is more likely known for the absolutely scrumptious CoD hybrid AUs. MY GOD EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER AUs ARE JUST ON ANOTHER LEVEL. Ranging from Hacker girl!Reader to Baracks Bunny!Reader. (Octo König and Coyote Graves are personal faves of mine) (Her nsfw content is the most toe curling shit I've ever read)

@ghouljams - This creator is another known for their CoD AUs, only this time you may know them as the one who wrote the Cowboy and Medieval AUs. This person and @frogchiro actually got their inboxes mixed up a few times I believe, they're both really just that good, I clearly need pointers. (I honestly don't have much words because god do I eat their content up)

@wishesforyouo (previous account being: @puff0o0) - This lovely creator makes short but sweet CoD content, you may recognize her as the person who made the popular self-aware CoD AU. Definitely my cup of tea because I really like short reads from time to time. (Miss this AU, sweetie <3)

The overall vibe of her writing gives a specific aesthetic that I love so much and honestly their series is worth the freaking read. @wordstome - This creator made the GREATEST FUCKING FRIENDS TO LOVERS KÖNIG FANFIC I HAVE EVER READ. It was all just so perfect, the length, the pacing and the writing style is fucking incredible. @lostintransist - Another creator who has yet again brought me back to this list. Holy shit, if the word underrated is a creator, it's them. First of all, I NEED MORE UPDATES OF THE SEAMSTRESS AND THIS BUNNY BITES SERIES. It's written so freaking good like what. I get having a short attention span and not wanting to read long fics but this one.. this one you won't even be bored for a second. It's the type of fics you'd want to lose yourself in, I found myself finishing the bunny series in less than an hour, then left to starve for more. Edit: HELLO?! GET YOU A CONSISTENT AUTHOR, LITERALLY I AM OBSESSED WITH THE "Secrets are for grown ups" series that I wish I would've thought of it myself because I love angst so much (THEY BETTER NOT TOUCH THOSE KIDS, THEY'RE MINE!)

@sunni-stuff - Another amazing creator who sparked me up with their series, I don't know what is up with me lately but I am loving single mom!Reader so much. To whomever is planning on checking her out, YOU ARE IN FOR A TREAT. Where'd y'all get talent like this honestly? Like the amount of anticipation it takes to hook me in is a lot because of how short my attention span is AND MY GOD, ADIRA IS LIKE THE DAUGHTER I'VE NEVER HAD. @elliesbelle - This creator is top of this list for a reason, their content is the most scrumptious, drama-filled fanfics I have ever read. And yes I'm referring to their series "Nobody Compares To You". I can't even begin to say how much I love this creator, if I wasn't broke then I'd would've already tipped them. I personally think she captures Ellie's personality well. I appreciate a writer who implements shit that happen in her life into her stories. (Despite that, the amount of things happening in their love life is also some complicated shit that I love hearing updates from. Love ya belle <3) Me reading the belle's fanfic at 3am knowing damn well I have school the next day

@lovelettersfromluna - This creator is another amazing writer and holy hell are her works so good, like the length and writing style is just perfect. It's so compact yet it's not too long, add me on your ma'am taglist, please 🥺 <3

Okay thinking OUT of the “x reader” universe - do you think the boys (141, los vaqueros) have actual families out there waiting for them?? We know Laswell’s married and Price just gives off too many daddy/dilf vibes, I just know in my bones that he has a wife and kids.

Soap and Gaz have partners too probs, not necessarily married and/or with kids but in a relationship. Same with Alejandro. In my opinion Rudy would be open for a relationship but just isn’t lucky and Ghost’s probably a lone wolf. But I still think Price’s the only one with kids 🤔

i think Price maybe has kids (but he's never around enough to see them). he also seems to throw himself into stuff, so if anything, i'd say a failing marriage/one of the verge of implosion. he's never home, always off somewhere else trying to save the world. but his kids adore him, and his wife would want to make it work. i just feel like he'd either be separated, a single dad, or in limbo. he's a great dad, of course! amazing!! but i tend to lean toward all the shows i've seen about this similar cut of a man and his standing within his family unit. maybe he's in couples therapy, but def either pending or already is divorced.

Gaz, i think, would either be on tinder or has a relationship with someone he met while in uni. maybe just friends/casual for now since he's very young, but he does have someone he cares for!

Soap... i actually dunno. because he was so willing to throw himself to the cartels and undertake so many dangerous missions when NO ONE else volunteered. i don't see him having anything serious/long term for that reason. i think he wants it, though. desperately. but he's committed himself full-time to the role and his duty, and everything else will inevitably end up secondary. i think he isn't in a relationship, per se; but he definitely is exclusive with someone just no labels. maybe a bartender near his home that he has a special relationship with or a neighbour.

Ghost probably doesn't have anyone. if he did, it would be a fleeting thing: nothing ever concrete or tangible, and nothing at all with the promise of forever. i don't think he would allow himself that. he's a loner. i wouldn't call him lonely, either, nor resigned. this is what he prefers, and what he would have picked. he's the type of man who give himself wholly, like the rest, and this aspect of his life is no different.

i think Alejandro has the most stable work-life balance. the little things Valeria, and Rudy say about him makes me think he either has a family or at the very least, has a wife.

and Rudy, i think he has a childhood sweetheart that he eventually wants to marry, but nothing serious, and he's still single. he's also resolved himself to the idea that they might marry someone else before he plucks up the nerve/finds the right time, and he's come to terms with that (already broke his own heart). i think he would devote himself fully to someone, and right now, that's cleaning up Las Almas.

i do think it would change once they get a bit older, though!

Ok first thing is please don’t take this as a criticism of your replaced au fic. I love it a lot and I think it was written beautifully.

However my dumb ass missed the angst with a happy ending tag

And I was like, why tf is Soap staying with Ghost? He’s obviously supposed to be with Ale and Rudy. My brain was craving more angst than what was provided and now it’s yelling at me for more, so now I’m trying to placate it with sad ending version of that fic that I’m making up in my head. Dw I don’t plan to publish it or anything. The angst was hitting good but then he ended up back with Ghost and my brain was screaming that it was wrong.

However, once again, it’s ur fic. And it was still incredibly written and amazing. I love your writing style.

FIRST - sorry this took so long 🙏 I'm not active much on here.

On the fic - a big thing for me when writing is understanding that 'hurt people hurt people' (people who are hurt, tend to hurt other people). I'm also educated/trained in trauma and psych, so having a grasp on how that can change emotional development, cognitive perceptions, reactivity etc has always been an interest of mine. My father is also an abusive veteran. These are the places I drew a lot of inspo from.

I did have an ending where Soap ends up with Rude and Ale, and even one with Roach, but in the end I felt I wanted to give both Soap AND Ghost a chance to grow. And growth isn't linear, it isn't easy. It often hurts too. For me them not getting back together didn't serve a purpose - it was an easy way out. Ghost would be stagnant and qlone (except for Roach) forever, and Soap would forever carry the bitterness and hurt of what happened from his one-sided view even if he did move on.

People who come from bad backgrounds often need patience as they re-learn and re-write a lot of emotional and behavioural impulses they've had to develop and maintain since childhood. So Ghost needed patience and understanding, and Soap needed to see this was real - that this was true without lies or deceit or deception. Which is why Ghost's reaction when he was drugged was the tipping point for him where he saw that this was Ghost's true feelings, and what he meant to Ghost.

It took strength and growth from Soap to open his heart again, more than it would've if he moved on. Ghost took up therapy, opened up to Roach a bit, and engraved Soap (literally) onto his body - his growth was pushing past his own armour he wore and seeing the strength in vulnerability and honesty through intense therapy. They're two men with a lot of trauma in their past and present, they're complicated men in their own way, so I tried to keep it as realistic to their personal development and mindsets than from an outsiders perspective.

That's a big ramble, I hope it makes sense! I honestly loved seeing readers get emotional over it - whether angry or happy or sad. I got a lot of emojis in my inbox on Twitter 😂 I wanted people to feel for these characters, so I'm so happy to hear you liked it and you felt connected to it in a way that spoke to you.

I think it's kinda the same with fics with heavy themes - there's often something in our own backgrounds that resonates and identifies with something in a character or a struggle they have. So if you empathise with Soap, or Ghost, or you're just here vibing like Roach - it's all good!

Ghost - okay. don't hate me for this. I don't think he's a good cook. He's probably never cooked in his life, or only made really basic foods like toast for survival. His favorite food is probably a basic sandwich.

Soap - moderate cook. He can make basic dishes, but nothing incredibly complicated. Probably cooked for his siblings when he was younger

Price - Again, he can make basic dishes, but isn't good at anything else really. You need a sandwich or chicken noodle soup? He's your guy. His favorite food is porridge (deragatory)

Alejandro - He is AMAZING at cultural dishes. But he absolutely sucks at making sandwiches or easy food items. making churros, croquetas, migas? absolutely amazing, 10/10. making a piece of toast? building is burnt down. He probably also has a really big sweet tooth, absolutely devours all the sweets

Rudy - resident cook. Can make anything from a 5 layer chocolate lava cake too a simple pb&j sandwich

Gaz - Also the resident cook for 141. I feel like he's really good at soups, any kind. Also sandwiches. Sandwich expert.

Alex - I don't know a lot about Alex, but he gives me good helper bad cook vibes. You need some vegetables cut? He's your guy.

How I think cod men smell like naturally their body. (hate dni)

so I have this thing called synesthics with basically causes my brain to use more than one sence when triggered for example I can smell pictures, I know it sounds weird but when ever I look at pic of smth or someone my brain makes up what it/they would smell like. (And to my suprice its pretty accurate)

1. ghost

I am 100% he wears Axe body spray in the purple blue scent, and not because its named Marine (haha). Yeah so his notes are axe spray, hormones(the sweet pinappley ones, not the gross just hit puberty boy type) and I think rust for some reason like he was in a mechanical work space. 2. Konig

Now this bitch confuses me as shit. I think he smells like medical equiment but at the same time I think he smells like nothing, netrual. I dont know he has a minty tone tho. So he probs just has amazing heigyne and doesn't over fragrance himself.

3. Price He smells like tobacco Malboro, I bet my ass on that. But I would know cause I smoke more than him (he is 40+ I am beraly 20). But he also smell alchooly BUT BEFORE YOU SAY I AM STEREOTYPING!! I mean like fragrance type alchool, most notably after shave type of scent. Like spicy cinamon but in a more masculine way. 4. Soap

Before yall hoes come for me, sHe pRobS gOinG tO sAy He SmElLs LikE SoAp, NO BITCH. Like I said I aint stereotyping shit today. HE SMELLS LIKE A PHEREMONENAL SLUT not because he is my favourite but because he always sweaty in the game. In the best case senario it is even plesant. At the bear minimum he smells like a basic cologe that his ex or ghost bought him for his bday.

Let me tell you hoes something. BLACK MEN KNOW HOW TO NOTE AND COMPLIMENT THEIR SCENT!! Did you read that or do I need to repeat it. He smells like vanilla, cocunut, sol de janero REALNESS. He has scented moisteraiser every where in his car, in bag, on a keychain, in his mulitary bag EVERYWHERE, I bet you he has one between his cheeks so he can use it mids war. (I AM DYING) 6. Alejandro

Now hear me when I say, I know he smells feminine. Which is not bad at all but I feel like his stuff is florally scented or fruit or something like that, but at the same time I fear he smells like my boy bff cause they have so similar vibes (I HOPE NOT). But also he smell of tattoo shop YEAH THATS IT. He smells exactly like green disinfectant soap with rose peals infusion, exactly that and if you dont know what I am talking about just imagine dentist office smell + roses.

7. Alex Keller

Oh I know he smells good, naturally and when it comes to fragrance. I just feel it in my bones. He smells like oils, honey and anything in that area. I just know he drenches himself in jojoba oil and l know he loves dior. Like thats it, he is an expencive smelling man.

8. Rudy

I mean, he confuses me. I think he is mixure of hormones (again not the disguasting) and expencive parfum. I think he smells "manly", it sounds weird I know. I KNOW! He smells like salty caramel but the sticky type that you can also eat as a chewing gum, if you are from europe you especially from the slavic or balkan area you know exactly what I am talking about.

9. Nikto

To me he smells like home and I bet my ass on that if he was real I would say that as soon as I would met him but I bet most of yall have no idea what I am talking about unless you are slavic. Well he smells like beer but not the alchooly type but the softer type also he smells like grass, nature and wood. Also he smells like tobacco NOT SMOKE but the plant.

MINT. MINT. MINT. I know this man smells like a colgate ad, I can feel it. He smells exactly how water tastes after you brush your teeth. He smells also like rain but thats a small note, mostly MINT and fresh. If you are afab or use ph balance wash HE SMELLS LIKE THAT.

Orchestra AU

Aru: Okay, I know I said Aru would play the viola, but I had a sudden epiphany. She would be an amazing conductor. Time and time again, she has shown her incredible emotional intelligence. She knows the limits of her friends and their strengths. You’d need that very skill to ensure that all the instruments play in tandem with one another in the orchestra. Not to mention, a conductor also provides the beat of the piece. Without them, the orchestra might just fall apart. Aru is that strong pillar. She tries her best to be the person people can rely on, and she is. (Plus, who doesn’t like a conductor who would show some favoritism to the wonderful viola section??)

Aiden: He would a 100% be a cellist. Yes, they don’t always get the melody, but its rich tone just fits him. (It’s a gorgeous instrument, and it’s almost impossible to not fall in love with a cello concerto for a reason.) It’s the instrument that holds the most similarities with a human voice. It usually plays the harmony or the counterpoint melody, and I feel like those roles would fit him. He’s not necessarily someone who wants to the center of attention (but somehow is from time to time which, again fits with his cellist vibes). Plus, it’s always the cellists (from personal experience) who take the most liberty in their musical phrasing. He’s an individual, someone who likes to do things in a certain way, his way. And what better instrument to phrase in then the cello (with its slidy fingerboard)?

Mini: She would also be a violist! (No, this is not because I’m projecting my violist status onto her what do you mean-) See, the violas almost never get the melody for more than a couple of measures. A lot of people don’t even know what a viola is often confusing it for the violin. In a sense, it’s the overlooked section of an orchestra (Not in Aru’s orchestra though-). But when the violas shine, they shine. Mini is someone who’s amazing, but I have a feeling some people heavily under-estimate her capabilities. (And it’s a shame because she’s quite amazing.) But that doesn’t really matter for her, she keeps on doing exactly what she wants to. She doesn’t need attention. She just does what she likes to do, what she loves. Whether it’s spending time with the Potatoes or researching random ailments, if it’s something she likes to do, she’s gonna do it. 

Brynne: Double bass all the way. It’s has the deepest notes out of all the instruments in the orchestra. Even with just a couple of them, their notes reverberate throughout the entire orchestra. They’re often the secondary metronome for the orchestra. Nothing flashy but so much support. Brynne isn’t someone who really cares for very flashy things. The way she shows affection to her friends isn’t through gifts or by splurging compliments, but by simply being there for them. The pizzicato on the bass is another thing. Yes, fingers are going to be screaming all the while, but the sound is just so enticing. She has that rough glamor. Not to mention, the double bass is incredibly large. And it’s really heavy as well. Bro would get some extra weight-lifting hours in by just carrying it from one place to another. 

Rudy: A violinist, but a second violin. (By the way, if someone is in the second violin section, it does not mean they’re a bad player-) He’s the best hype man every, so he deserves something that can bring that hype. The second violins usually play the same rhythm as the first violins, just with lower notes. They add that complexity to the melody, truly allowing for the piece to feel complete. The times they have the melodies by themselves, it’s always quite exciting to here. Their parts are crazy, but in a loveable way like him. He’s very excitable, and that’s the energy required for the second violin section. It’s a gorgeous section, and while it does have the melody from time to time, it has just enough freedom to play around with the notes. Bro would quite literally slay if he was a second violinist.

Here are some thoughts (okay, a lot of thoughts) on the story where Barbara Valentin pulls cocaine out of her vagina - including the story itself, so brace yourselves.

It's worth saying that Rudi begins the two chapters which are about cocaine-related anecdotes with:

Right, on that topic. I want to say a few words about cocaine from the perspective of someone who has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade. Going by my personal experience, coke is everywhere. Rudi writes about it like it was this 70s fad (presumably because he stays well clear of it now), but this literally hasn't changed. You don't need to be sitting with the rich and famous part of the entertainment industry to be around it, either. I cannot overstate how normalised it is.

However, that does NOT mean everyone partakes. Some people strictly do not. Good for them (no sarcasm intended!). We already know this, but Rudi also confirms that Brian was very much opposed to coke.

A note: People who do use cocaine aren’t “bad” people, just as no one is “bad” only because they have an alcohol dependency, an addiction to cigarettes, weed, or any other drugs. Addictive substances are addictive and drugs temporarily make you feel amazing - followed by making you feel like crap, a lot of the time. (So you need more drugs to pick yourself up, and the cycle continues...) Many people are susceptible to drug addiction. How likely they are to develop one depends hugely on exposure and encouragement from their social circle. Which is to say, I will have no "ugh, how could they, I would NEVER do drugs" attitudes on this post from people who have never been presented with the reality of a drug being completely normalised in a particular social circle. Sit down, Shirley. You've never been offered lines in social situations by people who have influence over your career, people you admire and consider friends, so you have no idea what you would or wouldn't do.

People who do use cocaine get funny about it very quickly, because it is:

Expensive

Illegal and not always easy to get

Makes you feel amazing for a very short time

Makes you desperately want more the moment one bump wears off

Comes in small quantities

A great deal of secrecy often surrounds exactly who has the coke on a night out and how much they have because people get very paranoid (to the point of irrational anger) about others having too much of their coke. At the same time, it’s a drug most people do want to share, because if you’re high on coke you want other people you like to be high on coke, so that you’re all “vibing” on the same level.

Because coke is illegal, I’ve witnessed people pull it out from all sorts of places, including bras, knickers and socks. I’ve never personally known someone to smuggle any in their fanny (that’s vagina, for you non-Brits) or bum, but I don’t have much trouble imagining some of my more party-loving acquaintances doing this, and I can’t imagine that anyone who wants to take coke would turn their nose up at it because of this. We are talking about an illegal drug which is cut with tiny pieces of glass that you knowingly snort up your nose, which could kill you if you’re not careful with the amount, and which has been transported by dealers God-knows-how from God-knows-where. Whether it was up your friends' orifices or not is going to make very little difference at that point, and will only provide fodder for jokes.

Anyway, DON'T DO DRUGS, KIDS.

On to the story...

A couple of things. Firstly, it becomes clear quite early on that Rudi fancied Barbara rotten. This man had the hots for her and her "incredibly erotic, deep, raspy voice" real bad. Secondly, yep, this is exactly what coke does to people who take it regularly. If you've already had a bump, you get to a point where all you can think about is the next one. It's like an itch you have to scratch.

Right, let's pick this apart, shall we?

Firstly, even in his memory, Rudi is salivating over this woman so hard I'm surprised his keyboard didn't flood and short-circuit. Also, Rudi. Mate. My good fellow. Don't be such a bloody coward. Admit it, you found her attractive not "despite her full body" but with it. You wanted that sensationally slutty, curvy older woman and all her jiggly parts. You wanted her to smother you with the weight of her large breasts. But, Rudi, oh Rudi, "if Freddie hadn't been there..." 😂 I'm sorry, buddy, but somehow I feel like that would've only ever happened in your head, no matter the circumstances.

As for Freddie and the actual events here? Yeah, that all checks out for me. Of course we'll never know how truthfully this incident is recalled here, but personally, I have zero trouble believing Freddie would find it wildly hilarious that his friend had smuggled coke in her fanny. The man loved to be crude and to shock people at times, and he loved it when others did it. Also, poor Rudi seems to have not a single clue what a typical gay bestie-girl pal relationship looks like, or he wouldn't be marvelling at how close Freddie and Barbara seem even though Freddie is gay. I mean, seriously, every girl who's had a gay bestie to party with knows this is The Exact Dynamic, right there. Your gay bestie will joke crudely about your fanny. He will honk your boobs with innocent, childlike glee. He's someone to cuddle with, dance with and flirt outrageously with, because none of it means anything. (I am suddenly hit by memories of several ex-boyfriends being mad at me because my gay besties at the time and I seemed too flirty for their liking. Yeah, I suppose it's not a dynamic that straight men can wrap their heads around easily. No wonder Rudi is confused.)

However, in my experience this kind of party-friendship (and this is regardless of who the friends are, gay, straight, any gender) - especially when it's always accompanied by coke - is also often confined to "party-mode" and when you meet up with your going out pal in sober circumstances, you find that you have little to say to each other, don't know quite how to act... it can be a bit jarring. And it also fits with reports of Freddie pretending he wasn't home when Barbara wanted to see him sometimes and perhaps being as annoyed with her as he enjoyed her company, depending on the circumstances.

What follows is a lovely bit, I think, so I'll include it:

Freddie longing for somebody to love... honestly, yeah, to be fair, those are exactly the sort of conversations you have on coke, apart from it being also quite in character for Freddie around that time. Love Barbara's attempted "But I love you!" deflected with humour by Freddie "Haha, I love your tits! Don't you, Rudi? Hahaha... hah..." *laughs with abandon in the face of deep sadness* Because, of course, his girl pal's affection is not the kind of love he is missing.

So, as I read this story, I thought about reading somewhere - perhaps it was a quote - that in Barbara Freddie had found someone as outrageous as himself. And you know, I never thought about that statement much, but this anecdote really brought it home.

You see, at the same time as I read this, I happened across a mention of Madonna, of all people, who was in the news for pointing out that 30 years ago, she published a book about sex and her own sexual fantasies. I remember that book. I remember being shocked but intrigued by it in the late 90s when I was a young teen. (It came out in 1992.) Here is how the book was mostly received, though:

After watching that, it hit me. The thing gay men, and women who were unashamedly and overtly sexual had in common (in the mid-80s as much as the early 90s, and other decades, for sure) is that they scared the shit out of straight cis men in a very similar way.

Today, Lizzo can fuck it up to the tempo in booty shorts, Lady GaGa can be as outrageous with her costumes and videos as she likes, Cardi B can dedicate a whole, proud song to her WAP and Nicki Minaj "let him hit it ‘cause he sling cocaine". And yes, all of these women are still attacked today. But in the 80s or early 90s? This was unimaginable. So, for me, that put Barbara - a middle-aged, curvy woman back in 1985 - unashamedly making a show out of pulling coke out of her vagina into a whole new light. That woman had guts. And I get it now, Freddie. I get why you liked her. She was many things, of course. She was a bad influence, a drug addict, an alcoholic probably, a liar, a deeply troubled woman in some ways, and annoying as hell at times, I don’t doubt it. But clearly, she also proudly held her middle finger up to the “dos” and “don’ts” women had to abide by, and she just… did not give a fuck. I think that is a way of existing that, all his life, Freddie very much wanted for himself, too. To just not give a fuck about what society wanted him to be. And I think from time to time, he achieved it.

okay this ended up soooo long so i'm giving a tl;dr review here and if anyone cares to read my insanely long thought dump you can feel free. this part is spoiler free also!!

cons: i think they should have further developed the s1 storyline rather than conjuring up an entirely new treasure and conflict; i don't think they did the characters justice a lot of the time, particularly kie and jj; too much yelling and running not enough hanging out; the finale cliff hanger was a stupid writing choice

pros: cleo!!; pope-centric plotline!!!; amazing jjpope moments in the improv sequences; never a boring moment; rafebarry oh my god????; neck kiss shirtless wrestling holding hands standing unnecessarily close jjpope rot; just a straight up nine hour long adrenaline rush and i love that shit.

overall: i definitely did not like it more than s1, but i still REALLY loved it. i think it's worth the watch, just don't go into it expecting good writing or realistic injuries or a comprehensive plot LMFAO. what saves the season is the pogues' chemistry and their improv sequences, for real. and cleo. you WILL get angry about the shitty script and characterization if you’re really invested in that part of things, but as far as vibes and dopamine high it was awesome. it was a fun watch and i'll definitely rewatch at least once to soak it in properly

please this is going to be soooo long i apologize in advance. but i have a lot of thoughts. also ⚠️⚠️spoilers ahead!!⚠️⚠️

most of this review is going to be criticisms tbh so sorry for that but this show kinda sucks (affectionately<3)

i thought season 2 was an absolute TRAINWRECK as far as writing goes. jonas pate was basically like. this season we're going to have an even BIGGER and BETTER treasure!!! but the exact same thing is going to happen. like. we already had gold. and that's what they were going to the bahamas for at the end of season 1 for anyway????? it would have been so easy to just develop the original storyline further, i just cannot figure out why they would completely abandon it for another mediocre storyline. (i LOVED that this other mediocre storyline was pope-centric and the main character energy he was given this season. but. they. could have done that?? with the first storyline?????)

i hate that they brought big john back so so much. SO much. literally it was the stupidest most idiotic lazy cheesy plot choice in the world. it doesn't make sense, we like saw his literal bones at one point like his lifeless corpse, and WHY would they bring back a key character from the PREVIOUS ARC when they created an ENTIRELY NEW CONFLICT AND PLOTLINE FOR THIS SEASON???? jonas pate stuck it in for shock value and cliff hanger in hopes of securing a season 3, and i hate him for it. he's such a terrible writer white men have it so easy

someone in the neck kiss truthers discord earlier pointed out that jb's dead father returning after like a year and a half of thinking he was dead would probably be more traumatic that healing at this point, and i agree so much. also, you know that they're not going to use it for good either way. they're going to use his dad coming back as a way to further traumatize him somehow because obx writers are jombeephobic. and i wouldn't put it past them to bring him back just to kill him off again. jonas pate wants to write john b torture porn and i am TIRED of it

my least favorite thing about season 2 was the characterization. they really did just disregard the characters they created in season 1. kie was completely ooc for like three episodes, and it wasn't because she was mourning. it was just shitty writing. she had no character outside of her relationships this season, which has been my fear from the very beginning and why i have never wanted kie with any of the pogues. season 2 diminished her character to the female love interest, and that just sucked so bad for her.

whether you're a jjpope or not, season 2 completely changed their friendship dynamic. the only time we got glimpses of the season 1 jjpope dynamic was in the improv sequences when rudy and jd took it upon themselves. also during their hugs LMFAO. which is also an acting choice. the writing completely disregarded their friendship and dynamic. it was weird as fuck it was all weird. i also hated that kie and sarah's scripted interactions were just them talking about boys. another case of friendships again being completely disregarded for the cishet relationships. 

i just really feel like all of the characters were handled poorly this season, which is crazy because literally ALL we asked for was backstory and character development and pogue screentime. but jonas pate instead decided to write ten episodes of nonstop running and yelling and fuckinf adrenaline, with an ooc script. for funsies

i feel like the magic of season 1 was lost. the vibe of season 1 that makes it so comforting and rewatchable and lovely is sort of just lost in all the silly plot. we see snatches of it here and there, but they feel crammed between unnecessary action scenes and stunts and shouting when we would have been happy with ten episodes of the pogues hanging out in each other's bedrooms.

NOW IM GOING TO TALK THINGS I LIKED OKAY OKAY

i seriously DID love watching it. we pulled an all nighter in the neck truthers discord and binged the entire season and the adrenaline of that kept me going for the rest of the week. it was literally fucking insane absolutely batshit and i LOVED it. the writing was horrible but like. it's obx we know it isn't good LMFAOO. it's part of the charm

i definitely don't like it more than s1, but i did still like it a lot. i LOVED how pope centric it was, like he fr had such main character energy this season and it was wonderful. even though the storyline was weird and didn't make sense jd did so well lolol he did so wonderfully. i loved seeing pope get the attention he deserves this season.

JJPOPE MOMENTS. i was definitely sad they didn't have an arc to themselves like they did season 1, but oh my god jd and rudy FED US with jjpope improv moments this season. the NECK KISS? the WRESTLING? every single one of their hugs?????? they're insane. it sucked that they really didn't have any scenes alone but we take what we can get.

SPEAKING OF GAYS LET'S TALK ABOUT RAFEBARRY. because?? oh my god??? first season it was like a crack ship and then season 2 came out and... what are we supposed to do ignore it? they are literally??? gay????? it's jarring they're insane. i am so so invested in them it's kind of unreal how deep i got into this ship in such a short amount of time (follow @rafebarry babies <33)

cleo. i love cleo. the best new thing to come out of this season for sure. clarah is coming strong i can feel it and i am SO ready. i know that they're most likely going to move toward a cleopope romance next season, which i don't hate? i'm bothered only because a) it's obvious it's mostly being done to get pope out of the way for jiara, and b) i think people often push two dark-skinned characters into a ship just because they're both dark-skinned, and that yucks me out. but i will say i really liked their moments together in s2 and i think they could be really good together if they're canon s3 (which they probably will be.)

overall like. it was a fun watch. i retained like 2% of the plot i was just there for the vibes and dopamine high and that was totally fine. i want to take the pogues out of jonas pate’s greedy little white man fingers and give them the character and relationship development they deserve, but we can’t have it all i guess. the cinematography this season i think i liked better than season 1, wasn’t a huge fan of that weird yellow filter tho. also the lighting. obx lighting guys get demoted challenge. umm yeah season 1 supremacy but season 2 had amazing vibes

“Hey bug, you ready to come home?” You sighed, realizing that summer was ending and you would be having to go back to Alaska for school. It hadn’t snuck up on you, but some part of you had hoped that you’d get to stay with your brother forever. 

“I guess…” You mumbled back, not wanting to hurt your parents but also not wanting to go back. 

“You’re all set to fly out in a few days, we can’t wait to see you!” Your mom exclaimed. You could hear the excitement in her voice which only broke your heart even more. The familiar feeling began to bubble up in your chest, making it seem like you couldn’t breathe in all the way, like something was taking up space in your lungs preventing you from getting enough oxygen. This hadn’t happened all summer, not since you came to live with Rudy. It had been so long since you felt it, you almost forgot the feeling altogether. 

“Sweetie? You still there?” Your mom’s voice brought you out of your own head and back into the real world, where a few minutes of silence had passed. 

“Yeah, yeah I’m here. I’ll see you soon. Love you guys.” You quickly ended the conversation, wanting to get as far away from your phone as possible, as your mind assimilated it with the panic you were feeling. 

This time, you were able to keep yourself calm.

“Baby, do you really have to leave?” Your boyfriend asked, his arms sliding around your waist, leaving goosebumps in their wake. The feeling of his skin on yours always ignited a fire within you, one you didn’t want to put out. You leaving in a few days felt like a storm threatening to wash away the wildfire the two of you had created together. 

“Yeah… I have to go back to school, my brother is gonna be filming season two of his show in Charleston, I’d have no one to stay with…” You mumbled into his chest, soaking in his scent, aching to remember every piece of him. Part of you wanted to believe that a long-distance relationship with him would work but the rest of you knew that it wasn’t fair to either of you. 

“Go to school here, with us! You could stay with me!” One of your best friends chimed in. A spark of hope lit up in your stomach, maybe you could stay. But then, like clockwork, that same feeling from earlier began to slither its way through your body. Your mind raced to all the things you’d be leaving behind, all the friends you had back home that you hadn’t seen in months. 

But as your mind raced and you sat with your new friends, and boyfriend (something you never thought you’d get back home), you realized the people in this room meant more to you than the people back home, who were only still friends with you because they didn’t have anyone else to be friends with. That still didn’t keep the panic at bay, but once again, you were able to keep yourself calm.

“Roo, I wanna talk to you about something…” You said, coming into his room that night. 

“What’s up kid?” He asked, watching you sit down next to him on his bed. The way you twiddled your thumbs and chewed on your lips told him you were nervous about something, his mind racing to find out what it could be. The energy in the room shifted, and it was like all the oxygen had been sucked out of the room. Taking a big gulp, you started trying to verbalize your thoughts, even though it felt like you couldn’t breathe. 

“So… I was thinking- maybe- I… I could stay here with my friends and go to school here. She said she’d- she’d talk to her mom and ask if it was ok. But like, I would- I would need your help talking to mom and dad because I don’t want to hurt their feelings, but I really- really don;t want to go back home…” You stumbled out, hoping that he would understand what you had just word vomited at him. Slowly, you began to feel the burn of tears coming to your eyes, and desperately you tried to hold them back. 

“You want to stay here? How come?” He asked. He sat up, coaxing you into his arms cause he knows it calms you down. You laid your head on his chest and kept trying to take deep breaths as he stroked your hair. 

“I feel more understood by the people I’ve met here than I do by anyone in that stupid little town…” You whispered, “I’ve gotten closer to them in 3 months than I did to anyone back home in 16 years, Rudy. I have no one... no one real anyway.” 

“So you want to stay here in LA?” He asked again and you nodded. The sound of his voice was distant, sounding miles away. You did your best to focus on your breathing but that focus was quickly slipping away as your breathing became more sporadic and uneven. It was as if something was sitting on your chest, preventing you from getting enough air. 

“I’ll talk to mom and dad and see what they say. Kiddo, I need you to focus on your breathing ok? Focus on taking a deep breath all the way in and breathing all the way out.” He continued to run his fingers through your hair as you gasped in deep breaths and let the tears fall down your face. Slowly, the room started opening back up and even though the tears still ran down your face and your hands shook like an earthquake, it got a little easier to breathe. 

“That’s it, just like that,” He cooed. You sighed at the sound of his voice, remembering when you used to get these all the times before Rudy left home. After he was gone, they picked up even more and your mom and dad just didn’t quite know how to ground you like Rudy did. He was always there to protect you, it was a kick in the gut when he left you. But here he was, calming you down.

Rudy sat up in the living room, the next morning. You were still asleep, somewhat exhausted from last night's events. The phone rang and he took a deep breath, hoping for nothing more than to be able to get you what you want. 

“Hey Rudy! How have you been?” Your guys’ mom answered and he smiled, hearing the happiness in her voice. 

“Hey mom, is dad around?” He asked and heard shuffling on the other end. Suddenly his dad's voice sounded from the line and they got a little lost in simple conversation. Rudy then remembered exactly why he called them and got down to business. 

“So I wanna talk to you about Y/n…” He trailed off and your parents went a little quiet. He started to feel the sweat gather on his palms and gulped down the nervous lump in his throat, noticing the shift of energy in the call. 

“Is she ok? Did something happen to her?” Your dad spewed out, worried that something might have happened to his little girl, but he shook his head before remembering they couldn’t see him. 

“No no no she’s fine, but I know you guys are gonna be a little skeptical about what I’m going to tell you,” He sighed before continuing on, “ She wants to stay here for the school year…” 

The line went quiet. He could tell his parents were shocked, the fact that their daughter didn’t want to come home was a lot to process and they had no idea what the reasoning behind it was. 

“What do you mean? She doesn’t want to come home?” The woman gasped, feeling tears well up in her eyes.

“She’s ade some really awesome friends, people she’s closer to than anyone she is with at home. She’s already lined up a place to stay while I’m shooting. I think you’d really like them actually. It’s one of her best friends and her mom, they’re really nice! I think you guys should change Y/n’s ticket so that you guys can come down here…” He rushed out, hoping they understood him, but he was met with silence once again. 

“Uhm… We’re not making any promises, but we’ll come down there so we can talk about this as a family…” His dad said and he nodded with a smile, agreeing.

You woke up feeling the events from last night lingering in your shoulders and neck. 

It was a familiar ache that only ever happened after an attack, a muscle tightness that made it feel as though you’d been sleeping on concrete for the past week. Doing your best to roll out the soreness, you walked into the kitchen to see Rudy with a look on his face that you couldn’t read. 

“So… I talked to mom and dad, and they’re gonna come here so we can talk about you staying!” He smiled and you felt like a little bit of the weight you’d been feeling lifted. 

“When are they coming?” 

“They’ll be here tomorrow,” He said, coming over and hugging me tightly, “We’ll get you where you need to be kid, promise!”

The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Your parents sat across from you and your brother, silently. You could tell they were deep in thought, but it didn’t help the shaking that began to take over your hands. 

All you wanted was for them to understand. They weren’t always great at that… 

“Mom, are you gonna say anything?” You finally asked, wincing when she let out a sign.

“Y/n, I just don’t like the idea of you living with someone you just met three months ago....” She said finally and your dad nodded along with her. 

“You don’t understand though. I’m closer to them than I am to anybody back home! I know her and I know that she cares about me, her mom cares about me! When I wasn’t here, I was there. I’m practically already a part of the family! She’s had me and Rudy over for dinner so many times I lost count. She’s hosted dinner parties for the cast because she wants to get to know the people close to Rudy and I because she cares! She’s like a second mom to me. And I love you guys, I really do. But I’m just not happy at home! It doesn’t feel like home anymore. This… This feels like home.” You stood up, pacing back and forth, your voice gradually raising to try and hold in the tears that threatened to fall. 

“Baby…” 

“Momma…” You whispered pleadingly, looking her in the eyes for the first time since she’d arrived and finally letting the tears fall. Rudy was next to you in seconds, pulling you into his arms, doing his best to keep you grounded so you didn’t fall off the edge.

The silence was filled by your sniffles and Rudy’s whispers into your ear. Your parents looked at each other with a knowing look in their eyes. It was obvious that they were not your home anymore, and no matter how much it broke their hearts they knew they had to let you go.

“Y/n, honey, we want to meet the family first, but we think you should stay. We want you to be happy bug, and if this is where you’re happy, then this is where you should be!” Your mom finally said, coming over and wrapping you and your brother in a tight hug. Your dad followed in suit and soon enough you started to feel yourself calm down.

currently you and drew were laying on a blanket looking up at the stars, it was around midnight, but neither of you had any plans to go back to your separate trailers anytime soon. you guys weren’t “together” despite what everyone thought and despite what your heart told you every time you were in his presence.

“i can’t believe we’re done shooting tomorrow” you broke the silence between you guys.

“i know, and then soon you’ll be going on tour, which is crazy.” drew said while smiling and turning his head to look over at you. mimicking him, you turned on your side tucking your arm behind you head and making eye contact with him.

“you’re gonna come to my first show right?” you asked hopeful that you would be able to see him again once filming for outer banks was finished.

“of course, i wouldn’t miss it for the world” he said confidently, making you blush and gain some confidence moving closer to him so your foreheads were almost touching and you could just barely feel his breathe on your lips. which was intoxicating. the longer you spent looking into each others eyes, the faster your heart started beating. it was such an overwhelming feeling you could’ve blacked out from it right then and there.

ever since you guys met almost eight months ago you’ve had this undying attraction to him. you are both very professional though, and you never said or did anything not wanting to make filming awkward. you’d grown to really like love drew a lot in the time that has passed. he made the colors brighter, and the stars lighter. he made you forget how to breathe sometimes just with his smile. and he was charming as ever constantly making you blush. he was flirty and playful and you had to try extremely hard not to let it get to you.

and now you were left wondering if these eight months meant anything to him, like they did to you. did he enjoy spending time with you? does he want to see you again after all of this? are you just a safety net for him while being here? you had all these questions that you never planned on asking. you knew he cared for you, but was it the way you always wanted? the same way you cared for him?

“we should probably go back, gotta be up early tomorrow for our last day” drew snapped you out of your thoughts and stood up holding out his hand for you to take. drew walked you back to your trailer and stood outside of it looking like he was debating something internally.

“drew, stop walking away! can we just talk about what you said last night?” you tried to keep your voice quiet not wanting to gain anyone’s attention on the two of you.

“i didn’t mean it okay? there’s nothing to talk about, it didn’t mean anything” drew said quickly in an attempt to brush it off like it was nothing.

“um, it meant something to me. why are you being like this?” you wondered if you had done something to make him run off so fast last night or even now for him to change his mind.

“just drop it” he said sternly not making eye contact with you and once again walking away, leaving you wondering what the hell just happened. that was the last conversation you had with drew, not even a verbal goodbye was given when you flew out of Charleston, just a simple “have a safe flight” text.

thinking about that last conversation brought tears to your eyes, where did it all go wrong?

“y/n, 30 seconds!” your manager hollered out entering your dressing room making you nod in return, wiped your tears and plastered a smile on your face.

“you ask me how i feel i say nothing, but lately colors seem so bright and the stars light up the night” you sang into the microphone looking around the club for drew. it was your fourth song in and you still hadn’t seen him, he was there though. everyone else from the cast was there, standing front row to support you 

“but i crave us hugging, yea, stay stubborn, cause i can’t admit that you got all the strings and you know just how to tug em” looking back down at where the cast was standing not far from the front of the stage you felt your chest tighten and your legs wanting to give out. he was here. he showed up. he was smiling at you.

“i think i’m in love again, i think i’m in love again. i didn’t think it could be true, let alone that it would be you. i think i’m in love again” there were more tears in your eyes and you were looking directly at drew the entire rest of the song. you didn’t care who knew anymore, he needed to know you wrote this song for him. he needed to hear you. 

after the show you were backstage with your manager and tour crew saying thank you to everyone when your outer banks cast knocked on your dressing room door. everyone entered giving you hugs and praises for the amazing set you put on just minutes before. drew was the last to walk in, he looked timid, but with a motive.

I don’t ship ShiVika. Especially after this scene. Yes, something exactly identical happens between Arnav and Khushi and that is also one of the few scenes I absolutely don’t like. The only difference is I was too deep into shipping them by the time this happened. I was still into the arrogant but deeply family bound Shivaay who’s an ass to Annika but also an awkward teen around her while Annika is her fiery self. This was harassment and I’m deleting it in my memory because I like the post post marriage version of themselves.

Papa Louie Scarlett HCs

-Rosabella Ocampo is a 23 year old singer/songwriter and graduate school student who lives with her fiancé, Rudy, in a Powder Point condo. She is widely known by her legal/stage name, Scarlett Heart and is the lead singer/songwriter of Scarlett and the Shakers. While punk ska and playing gigs with her friends are her true passion, Scarlett plans to become a game theory professor in the future. She can mostly be seen writing lyrics for a new song, riding roller coasters with Rudy, climbing trees with Clover, and just vibing with Marty.

-Scarlett is rather bold and seductive, often playfully flirting with others or making jokes about inappropriate topics. I stole this from Rouge, thanks SnapCube fandub for revitalizing my love for Sonic. Alongside her flirtatiousness is her intelligence and desire to succeed, using rules and lessons that she learned from various games to apply to her daily life. Thanks to her love of poker and mahjong, Scarlett has grown to be very analytical and sly in her motives. Out of the shakers, she is undoubtedly the big sister friend as she’s kind of a bad influence on the rest of them and is always subjected to scoldings by mom friend, Janana.

-Rudy calls her “Princesa” because of her Cinderella-like backstory. Her mother was a very kind woman and Scarlett lived happily with her and her father. Her mother died in a roadside construction accident when Scarlett was only 9, leaving Scarlett heartbroken. Her father then married a woman named Moira with two sons, Graham and David, who was emotionally abusive towards Scarlett until she moved out at age 16. Scarlett’s relationship with her dad deteriorated over time and she’s basically disowned them since. She finds solace in Marty and Clover’s parents, who think of Rudy and Scarlett as their own. She also got along with the other Frostfield residents and helped Willow get back into hockey after her infamous car accident (the first one).

-Stan Twitter often makes memes of her because she’s so iconic and quotable. One of her most iconic moments was when she screamed “I wrote this next one about my bitch ass stepmom. Moira, if you’re listening, your hair is limp and you fucking suck!” at the VMAs.

-Music was her escape as a child, hence why she learned to sing and play multiple instruments. However, her stepmother made her play the violin in the school orchestra as opposed to being allowed in a punk rock band. Even though she was concertmaster and first chair, she hated life so badly. Scarlett can play the guitar, bass guitar, violin, cello, drums, the trumpet, the saxophone, the bassoon, the piano, the xylophone, the harp, the flute, the recorder, the French horn, the clarinet, i didn’t even list all of them and I’m tired already. When one of the other shakers has lead vocals on a song, she’ll take over playing their instrument.

-Scarlett met Rudy during their shared freshman year of high school. Hazelnut High’s orchestra department had its annual field trip to Powder Point (based off my actual orchestra field trip!). Scarlett decided to sneak away from her snobby classmates and teachers and have the time to herself. On one particularly large roller coaster, she sat next to a boy with a Mohawk who told her that since he was a Powder Point native, he could more than handle it. He then proceeded to cry the entire time while holding her hand. They realized how much they had in common and kept in contact even after her trip was over. Their relationship is super lovey dovey, yet chill at the same time. Couple goals, but not on the level of Prudence x Cooper x Taylor.

-The shakers got together during the 23rd season of Flipline’s Got Talent. After the shocking elimination of Taylor Morales in the quarterfinals, the remaining acts were merged together. Scarlett and Rudy and Marty and Clover were two sets of pairs merged together. They all got along beforehand and loved Scarlett’s songwriting, so they all wrote an original song together for the finals. Even though they were fan favorites and had lots of support from the audience, Bill and Boopsy’s amazing ventriloquy act was what won the show, with the upset Shakers coming in second place. Afterwards, they were approached by Janana who offered to become their agent, and all they’ve known since was success. Fun fact: Rudy wouldnt accept Clover and Marty into their act unless they beat him and Scarlett at poker. They did.

-The shakers each can speak multiple languages, with Scarlett being able to speak fluent English and Tagalog, Tagalog being her native language (Filipino gang!). She can also speak some Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, and Gaelic because she hangs around the other Shakers and Janana so much.

-All of the food, drinks, clothes, and personal belongings Scarlett loves are various shades of red. Cherries, longanisa, red wine, and candied strawberries are her favorite. Her entire wardrobe? Red. Her LED lights? Red. It honestly scares Rudy how red everything is.

-Her voice would either be Jessica Sanchez from American Idol or Gwen Stefani from the No Doubt era. She also covers a lot of No Doubt songs during their concerts. Speaking of covers, the shakers like to sing classic rock songs as well as modern day hits. Scarlett has the vocal range to do Ariana and Mariah Carey justice.

-Her and Marty are best friends. They’re both on the same wavelength and will most likely have the same reaction to memes, like word for word the same reaction. They usually have to get Rudy and Clover out of trouble most days. I love their chaotic, yet chill energy, like the types that just sit and observe and quietly make funny comments to each other.

-She determines whether she likes you or not based off of how good you are at mahjong or poker. If you suck enough to let her win, she’ll love you forever but if you match her in ability, she’ll respect you but kinda fear you as well. If you refuse to play altogether, she hates you. She’s a game theory student, so playing any board game with her is grounds for disaster because she’ll use her weird psychology and tricks to win all the time. Ironically, she sucks at video games. Even though she loves games of chance, she’s hugely against casinos and betting, instead trading small trinkets like food or makeup.

-At the Cheeseria, she set up a poker table, a mahjong table, and a pool table for the entertainment. They unfortunately had to get rid of the Uno table because somebody (ahem, Jojo) got a little too heated over a match with Papa and Wally. And by “got a little too heated”, I mean that Jojo literally got in a fist fight with Papa and lost.

-All she watches are telenovelas. Don’t ask about The Office or Game of Thrones, all she knows is stuff like Rubi and Maria la del Barrio.

-She doesn’t like musical theater except for Phantom of the Opera. She has taken a few roles as Kim in Miss Saigon, but secretly regrets it because musical theater is so much harder than just a regular concert. She still respects theater actors, but will never again sit through Anything Goes.

-She is the only one of the workers who has managed to successfully punch Guy Mortadello. Koilee and Rudy came close, but Scarlett landed an especially hard punch to his nose. Next to being engaged and forming Scarlett and the Shakers, she says it’s the third happiest day of her life. Now, Guy Mortadello is extremely scared of Scarlett and will cry if he sees her or hears her song on the radio (which is all the time).

-She has a tattoo of a heart of her hand along with a crown. On three of her fingers are a yellow Diamond, green clover, and blue spade.

-Scarlett is absolutely gorgeous and badass, I always kept rewinding Papas Cheeseria just to see her and Rudy in the opening because I had crushes on them both. Anyways, stan Scarlett for good grades (it’s not working though I’m still failing two classes)

I may or may not be rewatching the part of the live where Rudy talks abt his facial hair cuz he’s so FRICKIN CUTE akdhsjdhsjdh the way he “I liKe it” and then just starts petting his face looking all pleased with himself 🥺🥺 I just love him a lot. Also Lacey is totally right, he has major Cary Elwes vibes (can anyone say Princess Pride remake?👀 although the og was perfect and they’d probably just ruin it but still) I feel like I’m always talking about things that me in here haha so I wanted to bring up something positive😌✨❤️

Same, he was so adorable!! I love that she pointed out how great his goofiness is and that he’s so comfortable and confident in his unique skin. 🥰

Also, here are some important reminders that I took away for myself from their talk because it’s amazing advice and I think everyone should see/hear it:

Try to replace fear with excitement! Just try things, read, learn something new, be active/take a walk and meditate, be spontaneous and open.

Rejection is just a redirection! A ‘no’ is better than a ‘maybe’ - learn why you were rejected to avoid it in the future and don’t let it discourage you. Adversity builds character and in the bigger picture it directs you toward better things.

Don’t take yourself so seriously! When you feel like shit or just not really good about yourself, challenge yourself to make yourself laugh. Do something random and out of character for you, be spontaneous.

Music is your friend! Make playlists and listen to new or familiar things to get out of a mood. Rudy’s favorite song is ‘Express Yourself’ by Charles Wright hehe.

Don’t concern yourself with other people’s opinions! People are mostly occupied with themselves but also their opinions don’t matter if you’re feeling yourself. The only validation you need comes from inside.

Occupy yourself! A great way to overcome sadness or even a depressive episode is to focus on projects, big or small (building something, cleaning, etc.) Rudy is building a big desk fortress downstairs to take his mind off things lmao.

Journal! Reflect on your day. What did you accomplish, what could you do better tomorrow? Rudy’s senior quote was “bite off more than you can chew and then keep chewing anyways” - focus on one day (bite) at a time if you get overwhelmed.

Stay resilient! Rudy loves the quote “if I can take it, I can make it”. Power through negative self talk or negative experiences to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Positive affirmations are key.

Manifest! Set goals and work towards them. Make sure you go to bed knowing you took one more step toward that goal. One step can even be just going on a walk to figure out what the next step is.

Prioritize yourself! You are not being selfish or indulgent by practicing self care. You deserve to invest in yourself.

Bottom line: recognize self love is worth the try! Try new things and even if they might not make you feel better, they also might. So just give it a shot and, even if nothing helps right now, the time will pass. 😊🌸

how do i review this everything just hit me like a truck. the fighting scene really broke my heart into pieces. now we know so far; how iris works. the device is highly unstable, seeing how ali couldn’t even recognized khai, moon and iman AND EVEN COMOT all together OH DEAR GOD. when override ali attacked all three of them boi i was about to fLIP. iman certainly had a good amount of screentime to show her skills, and it was amazing i tell you. sadly iris is too powerful for her, thus her defeat.

WHY???!? he rly followed dos just to see uno ah the scene in the old building room got me broke man. at that time i couldnt read him at all on this ep they revealed the core leaders (which explains that today was pretty intense). oh general butterful ;__; alicia go and hug your dad he deserves better. i got completely thrown off when rama showed sadness and shocked that another of his trusted agent betrayed mata. once he left, the meeting of the current three core leaders begin. i, personally did not like ganz. he’s too...idk how to say this um headstrong? dayang gives me another vibe of dislike too idek why skdsnjd she wants to separate ali and the iris. so i see they’ve told rizwan the truth, and further blaming that he followed his emotions and past bonding towards djin. to put more salt, rizwan sees djin as a part of his fam. but then zain cut me off, which leads me to a mass confusion. said zain, rizwan is much like djin as they go on their own ways, then saying riz has his reasons. i take it as zain rly trust rizwan. meanwhile here i am not knowing who do i side with tbh. for now, i trusted zain, since he so far, believes in ali onto the sickbay scene. moon and jet interacted!! they were the original dynamic duo until moon sided with ali. here i can tell how jet feels. maybe he’s just that loud and blunt (telling moon to not be friends with ali wow ok smooth move jet), but i know he cares for moon. in this case we can see the little agents trying to defend their injured friend from the newbie (ali) who they now sees as a threat. mika, jet and roza were quick to attack him, same goes with rudy, who needs to be held back by jet when it comes to the mention of his lord and saviour role model djin. when ali told them the truth, they wouldn’t believe him, which is horrible. then again, they all had mutual feelings towards each other, so they won’t know how one experiences this and that. another thing is that they look down on ali, simply because he’s a no-good kid with the iris. ali couldn’t handle the pressure and ran away crying, slightly bumping into alicia at that. i was sad when moon couldn’t say anything throughout the situation, but seeing how she got injured by a friend, she might be unable to forgive him at the moment, or just couldn’t say anything due to her other friends. i do hope alicia, who personally know ali from the beginning, could hand a help to ali. its too much pressure for the 12-years-old kid its very sickening for me to watch back to riz and dos. i, really couldn’t bring myself to talk about rizwan. i personally like him. he, just like ali, has been put into pressure as well, but different. he told dos that he just wants to see him after knowing the truth, but dos didn’t believe him and there goes another fighting scene, but way brutal since it was many against one (thank god trez didn’t appear or else riz might yknow). new characters come kickin’ (no pun intended) in, which are the football twins seis and seite. theyre a bit annoying to me, but job well done on wau’s creativity. and there’s ali, troubled, throwing the iris away, which happened to land right in front of zain. ali ran down immediately and they had a conversation. can you believe i thought zain was ghazali the whole time when they didn’t show his face until they did. zain is really that father figure we don’t deserve good things. then he told about the truth about iris, and a younger djin and zain had a conflict about iris. and fast forward; thats where djin got heavily insane over power (+further adding that it was also djin who kinda glitched iris up, thus the instability of the iris itself). its like a prime motto where mata acts as a protector of cyberaya, not a leader. zain furthermore has encouraged ali, as ali’s first and prime reason about the iris is that he could do anything with it, especially to protect others. that’s where i’ve opened my eyes and see the truth. i cant believe i forgot about ali’s main trait. he’s been saving multiple lives from the start, flashing back to comot, ghazali and alicia. i blame myself for that, since wau often showed ali’s weakness right back when he did his heroic move. once ocho managed to trap him JENNY APPEARED KCDNNBJFNDJNDW I GOT INSANE. jenny really, darn she’s wicked as heck she gave me the chill. to be not safe for the children, rizwan nearly died until uno appeared.so there we have it. the cliffhanger. rizwan finally stepping in the uno card game, and zain putting his trust on ali to protect cyberaya and stop uno from getting iris

...a week rest after a heated ep isn’t enough i need more time to process all of these. everything is just shocking, in a good and bad way mixed up together. i’m glad ejen ali isn’t rushed im thankful that it gave us time to think through. i just...i just hope that everything gets toned down in the next ep
