Do you have a Twitter/X account?
I'm asking because I'm that anon that agreed with you about wanting scarlett to speak up about palestine, the main reason being that there have been viral tweets saying she's a zionist/supports isnotreal because of the whole sodastream situation, I saw a tweet yesterday where someone LIED and said she didn't want to work with a company because they asked her to boycott isnotreal and she refused, and multiple scarlett stans have said that it isn't true.
Idk I just feel like all of this misinformation could be avoided if she said something. it's really starting to irritate me, I know she's busy but a simple "free palestine" statement would be nice.
hello sweet thank you for this ask. yes i have twitter. to be honest i didn’t know about these things you mentioned, but i went on the app and looked up.
as far as i can see from simply their bios, they’re bot pages and mostly israel supporters so they’re probably trying to catch some likes, bring other people to their side using a powerhouse like scarlett to attract them. and it works, you can see it from the comments. this is why speak up matters, right? no false speculations and no more people supporting a genocide.
it’s fake. it has been confirmed by journalists, some of her big fan-pages and scarlett doesn’t even talk like that so, as you mentioned, it’s a spread of misinformation. i personally tagged one of her fan page and she confirmed herself. however the posts doesn’t have any community notes despite all the posts going viral since days. i can’t explain this to you, but i have a thought.
the acc used a real happened fact, talking about something that happened 10yrs ago. it’s the oxfam (palestine) and sodastream (israel) dispute that involved scarlett personally.
i kindly recommend you to go and read it to have a better opinion on it maybe with some deep digging. i’m gonna link up some resources a friend of mine (that i personally thank) helped me find so you know i’m not lying or distorting the reality. (i know for sure i’m gonna have asks flooded with anons accusing me of being a liar and i don’t have patience for that).
misinformation sometimes is a good thing in these situations, for celebrities. it’s strategic. unload people of their responsibilities because it leads people to defend you, forget the main reason because you’ve been dragged into something you didn’t said.
after you learn about the story maybe you’ll have a clear answer that explains a lot on the silence she’s being holding, on why colin hosted the white house correspondent dinner this year.
what can in say tho it’s that she has become a influent figure in the US politics, with the president, and has been invited to speak there for convincing everyone to vote for the AI law. she has donated for causes, spoke up, i can make a big list on the enormous work she put out there to help people.
you guys have been telling me she isn’t political, she can’t expose herself nor she can’t talk about political issues then explain to me what’s the difference on talking about a genocide and being invited at the US parliament to address a speech. the matter? you say, well both are important matter that requires attention.
as i said in previous answer asks she isn’t gonna lose her job because she’s her own boss. have you seen artists big as her lose their jobs? they gained more.
i have been restless. i contacted all of her big and small fan-pages (both twitter and instagram) to ask them to at least speak up about the genocide if they didn’t want to call her out. nobody answered me. i’ve contacted her publicist, marcel pariseau, who always answers her fans. no answer. i’ve contacted kate foster, the outset team. nothing. everyone has been silent. why?
it’s hard to ask if that’s a few of us against millions of people who think she can’t act. that’s pointless despite trying and take all the people shit that hides behind anonymous.
this isn’t religious or political nor about losing jobs neither being busy. it’s human and if you are silent in front of beheaded babies, burned unborn babies, (taking this floor for calling out all the anti abortion shits) decomposed bodies and starved people; well that goes behind every moral of this world.
as this being said my hopes are always here. what i can say is that speculation and hate aren’t the answers only peace is. so be kind and continue to spread your voice, let's fight for the end of the genocide and liberation of palestine. history will make it course, as always have been, and we'll be proud to tell we have been on the right side.
disclaimer: it’s a 10 years ago thing so we don’t know if the situation or her opinione are changed . maybe it is, maybe it’s not.

Papa Louie Scarlett HCs
-Rosabella Ocampo is a 23 year old singer/songwriter and graduate school student who lives with her fiancé, Rudy, in a Powder Point condo. She is widely known by her legal/stage name, Scarlett Heart and is the lead singer/songwriter of Scarlett and the Shakers. While punk ska and playing gigs with her friends are her true passion, Scarlett plans to become a game theory professor in the future. She can mostly be seen writing lyrics for a new song, riding roller coasters with Rudy, climbing trees with Clover, and just vibing with Marty.
-Scarlett is rather bold and seductive, often playfully flirting with others or making jokes about inappropriate topics. I stole this from Rouge, thanks SnapCube fandub for revitalizing my love for Sonic. Alongside her flirtatiousness is her intelligence and desire to succeed, using rules and lessons that she learned from various games to apply to her daily life. Thanks to her love of poker and mahjong, Scarlett has grown to be very analytical and sly in her motives. Out of the shakers, she is undoubtedly the big sister friend as she’s kind of a bad influence on the rest of them and is always subjected to scoldings by mom friend, Janana.
-Rudy calls her “Princesa” because of her Cinderella-like backstory. Her mother was a very kind woman and Scarlett lived happily with her and her father. Her mother died in a roadside construction accident when Scarlett was only 9, leaving Scarlett heartbroken. Her father then married a woman named Moira with two sons, Graham and David, who was emotionally abusive towards Scarlett until she moved out at age 16. Scarlett’s relationship with her dad deteriorated over time and she’s basically disowned them since. She finds solace in Marty and Clover’s parents, who think of Rudy and Scarlett as their own. She also got along with the other Frostfield residents and helped Willow get back into hockey after her infamous car accident (the first one).
-Stan Twitter often makes memes of her because she’s so iconic and quotable. One of her most iconic moments was when she screamed “I wrote this next one about my bitch ass stepmom. Moira, if you’re listening, your hair is limp and you fucking suck!” at the VMAs.
-Music was her escape as a child, hence why she learned to sing and play multiple instruments. However, her stepmother made her play the violin in the school orchestra as opposed to being allowed in a punk rock band. Even though she was concertmaster and first chair, she hated life so badly. Scarlett can play the guitar, bass guitar, violin, cello, drums, the trumpet, the saxophone, the bassoon, the piano, the xylophone, the harp, the flute, the recorder, the French horn, the clarinet, i didn’t even list all of them and I’m tired already. When one of the other shakers has lead vocals on a song, she’ll take over playing their instrument.
-Scarlett met Rudy during their shared freshman year of high school. Hazelnut High’s orchestra department had its annual field trip to Powder Point (based off my actual orchestra field trip!). Scarlett decided to sneak away from her snobby classmates and teachers and have the time to herself. On one particularly large roller coaster, she sat next to a boy with a Mohawk who told her that since he was a Powder Point native, he could more than handle it. He then proceeded to cry the entire time while holding her hand. They realized how much they had in common and kept in contact even after her trip was over. Their relationship is super lovey dovey, yet chill at the same time. Couple goals, but not on the level of Prudence x Cooper x Taylor.
-The shakers got together during the 23rd season of Flipline’s Got Talent. After the shocking elimination of Taylor Morales in the quarterfinals, the remaining acts were merged together. Scarlett and Rudy and Marty and Clover were two sets of pairs merged together. They all got along beforehand and loved Scarlett’s songwriting, so they all wrote an original song together for the finals. Even though they were fan favorites and had lots of support from the audience, Bill and Boopsy’s amazing ventriloquy act was what won the show, with the upset Shakers coming in second place. Afterwards, they were approached by Janana who offered to become their agent, and all they’ve known since was success. Fun fact: Rudy wouldnt accept Clover and Marty into their act unless they beat him and Scarlett at poker. They did.
-The shakers each can speak multiple languages, with Scarlett being able to speak fluent English and Tagalog, Tagalog being her native language (Filipino gang!). She can also speak some Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, and Gaelic because she hangs around the other Shakers and Janana so much.
-All of the food, drinks, clothes, and personal belongings Scarlett loves are various shades of red. Cherries, longanisa, red wine, and candied strawberries are her favorite. Her entire wardrobe? Red. Her LED lights? Red. It honestly scares Rudy how red everything is.
-Her voice would either be Jessica Sanchez from American Idol or Gwen Stefani from the No Doubt era. She also covers a lot of No Doubt songs during their concerts. Speaking of covers, the shakers like to sing classic rock songs as well as modern day hits. Scarlett has the vocal range to do Ariana and Mariah Carey justice.
-Her and Marty are best friends. They’re both on the same wavelength and will most likely have the same reaction to memes, like word for word the same reaction. They usually have to get Rudy and Clover out of trouble most days. I love their chaotic, yet chill energy, like the types that just sit and observe and quietly make funny comments to each other.
-She determines whether she likes you or not based off of how good you are at mahjong or poker. If you suck enough to let her win, she’ll love you forever but if you match her in ability, she’ll respect you but kinda fear you as well. If you refuse to play altogether, she hates you. She’s a game theory student, so playing any board game with her is grounds for disaster because she’ll use her weird psychology and tricks to win all the time. Ironically, she sucks at video games. Even though she loves games of chance, she’s hugely against casinos and betting, instead trading small trinkets like food or makeup.
-At the Cheeseria, she set up a poker table, a mahjong table, and a pool table for the entertainment. They unfortunately had to get rid of the Uno table because somebody (ahem, Jojo) got a little too heated over a match with Papa and Wally. And by “got a little too heated”, I mean that Jojo literally got in a fist fight with Papa and lost.
-All she watches are telenovelas. Don’t ask about The Office or Game of Thrones, all she knows is stuff like Rubi and Maria la del Barrio.
-She doesn’t like musical theater except for Phantom of the Opera. She has taken a few roles as Kim in Miss Saigon, but secretly regrets it because musical theater is so much harder than just a regular concert. She still respects theater actors, but will never again sit through Anything Goes.
-She is the only one of the workers who has managed to successfully punch Guy Mortadello. Koilee and Rudy came close, but Scarlett landed an especially hard punch to his nose. Next to being engaged and forming Scarlett and the Shakers, she says it’s the third happiest day of her life. Now, Guy Mortadello is extremely scared of Scarlett and will cry if he sees her or hears her song on the radio (which is all the time).
-She has a tattoo of a heart of her hand along with a crown. On three of her fingers are a yellow Diamond, green clover, and blue spade.
-Scarlett is absolutely gorgeous and badass, I always kept rewinding Papas Cheeseria just to see her and Rudy in the opening because I had crushes on them both. Anyways, stan Scarlett for good grades (it’s not working though I’m still failing two classes)

Memories Last Forever (Collab with @Lozzypoz321)
Chris Evans x f!teen!co-star!reader, Chris Pratt x reader, Tom Holland x reader, Sebastian Stan x reader, Paul Rudd x reader
Genre: fluff!
Description: In an interview your costars gush over your talent and awesomeness, and reflect on all the good memories from set.
Warnings: None bro
A/N from morizoras-cave: Before this I’d never ever done a collab before, but Loz approached me and I was super duper excited about it. Loz is such a nice person and an evil mastermind and I definitely hope to write with her in the future! ;))) This was so much fun, I love you Loz :D
A/N from @lozzypoz321: I really enjoyed writing this and it brought a smile to my face, I hope you do too! V is such an amazing writer and you may see something from us more in the future *wink wonk*
“So,” Mark, the interviewer started with interest and kept his eyes on you all “I saw that on Twitter a couple of months ago, you and your costar, (Y/N), took a selfie at the teen choice awards which you won by the way” hope directed the last part at you, making a blush creep up onto your cheeks involuntary “what would you say that was like?”
Chris (Evans) laughed lightly, taking a moment to ponder the question. “Well, I’m super thankful for all the people who nominated me and her, we enjoyed it greatly and I’m very proud of (Y/N) for what she’s achieved.”
You rubbed your face with sweaty palms, flustered that your costars were saying such nice things about you. Sebastian swung his legs back and forth on the couch where he was sitting and gave a grin “yeah, I think we all are, people look up at the screen and think that since she’s so small that the fame would get to her but,” he took a pause and jokingly nudged you in the ribs “she’s very humble.”
Without meaning to, you laughed out quietly. It wasn’t that you got embarrassed when someone complimented you, it was more that you thought that you didn’t deserve all the attention they were giving you.
“Guys, stop” you mumbled quietly, earning a full on laugh from beside you. Chris (Pratt) nodded towards the camera in the rooms corner. “Super kind too” the man added on to Sebastian's previous statement.
“Woah, remember when she won an Emmy?!” Tom (Holland) said in joking amazement, earning another shake of the head from you. Paul (Rudd) laughed with everyone and ran a hand through his short hair and faked bitterness “man, I haven’t even won an Emmy!”
Mark chuckled lightly and brought his notebook back up into his eyesight, looking at his next question to ask you all. “What has been your favourite moment filming on set?”
Chris (Pratt) looked around at everyone for a second before asking “we taking it in turns?”
“Um.. yeah, sure.”
Tom (Holland) went first, rubbing his hands together in concentration, “well, it probably has to be that dinner we went to with all the cast. I remember Anthony Mackie falling over, I loved it” making you all laugh and turn to Chris (Evans) who looked as if that was the hardest question he’d ever been asked in his life. You swore you heard him mutter “I don’t wike it” under his breath but just shrugged it off, “well if I had to choose it was probably the dance battle me and RDJ had outside Scarletts trailer,” he looked at the camera with seriousness drawn all over his features and a smirk on his lips “I won of course”
Paul (Rudd) went next and he was practically bouncing in his seat, “I got to hold Thor’s hammer when he left to go eat lunch, (Y/N) helped me steal it off set.” You gasped.
“You’ve ratted me out!” shock was written all over your face. The other cast members laughed, as Paul feigned surprise. “I can’t believe you!” you said. Sebastian patted your shoulder, jokingly. “That’s what you get for trusting Paul,” he told you and you had to agree. What were you thinking?
Chris (Pratt) began speaking, taking the heat off Paul, “I loved when you guys held a surprise birthday party for me,” he smiled warmly. Chris (Evans) shook his head and sighed. “Of course, he picks something about himself!”
The entire cast burst into laughter, you included. You loved watching the banter between them all. “Hm, I’ve gotta say, my favourite moment was when me and Anthony,” Sebastian paused, winking at you in a very exaggerated manner, “stole the script all by ourselves.” You nodded along, mumbling “of course, of course. The full truth and nothing but the truth.”
There was a moment of silence, as you thought about your favourite moment. There were so many to choose from, and the thought of it all brought a small smile to your lips. Your eyes lit up suddenly.
“My favourite moment was when we all had that sleepover on set! And everyone brought their sleeping bags and mattresses, and we ate pizza and watched Iron Man 1,” you stopped for a moment, but then gasped again, all the memories coming back to you, “and then we played hide and seek, and somehow Hemsworth was the last one to be found. And then we stole the food out the vending machines and accidentally broke, like, half of them.”
All the other cast members chuckled at the memories from that night. Mostly, they smiled seeing how happy the memories made you. They were happy to have brought good memories into your life, ones you’d always be able to look back on with a smile. The interview ended, and so did the movies and their contracts, but the memories you’d made with them lasted forever. :)

STAN LEE - Maddison - An Original Story

MADDISON MASTERLIST
please let me know if you would like to be added to a tag list
It's her day off but Maddie is on set, again. She's just woken up from a nap, she really needs to stop napping all the time because it’s getting ridiculous, and is scrolling through Twitter.
If she’s honest she probably spends way too much time on the app but it’s the easiest ways for her to to interact with fans.
She’s always had a good experience. She gets the occasional trolls but she doesn’t give them any energy. She actually secretly enjoys when everyone comes to her defence and destroys the haters. It’s always a bloodbath of words.
She’s just started composing a reply to a super sweet tweet when Sebastian pops his head in the door of his trailer.
"Come with me" he says excitedly when she looks at him.
"Why?" she asks, slightly suspicious of him. What is he up to?
"Just come... please" he almost whines. He has a surprise for her, he knows she's going to love it.
"All right, I'm coming" she says with a laugh, rolling her eyes at him as she stands up. As soon as she gets within reach, he grabs her hand and starts pulling her towards set. He’s on a mission.
"Fuck me Seb, slow down" she tells him, he’s moving was too fast for her short legs to keep up
"Sorry" he says, letting go of her hand. He didn't realise she’s struggling, he’s way too focused on getting her there in time.
"So, what the fuck is so important that you almost dislocated my shoulder to get me here?" she asks him once they've stoped walking.
Without saying a word her puts his hands on her shoulders and turns her. Looking ahead she sees Chris, Scarlett and Mackie talking just off camera.
"What?" she asks, confused by what he's trying to show her
"Mads, look" he says, standing behind her and pointing. That's when she sees him, the person they're talking to. It's Stan Lee, they're talking to Stan Lee.
"Fuck off!"
"Yeah... come say hi"
"Seb no"
"Maddison, don't be rude"
"I'm not, I... just give me a minute to breath" she says, flustered. She grew up reading Marvel Comics, she has hundreds of them. She's a huge geek, it's something she inherited from her father.
While all the girls her age were watching The Little Mermaid and The Secret Garden, she was watching Star Wars and Doctor Who.
"What is going on with you, you look like you're about to cry" he asks. He'd never seen her like this, almost scared to meet someone.
"Because I am" she admits quietly. For one of the first times in her life she’s star struck, she needs a moment to gather her thoughts. She knows her dad is going to loose his mind when she tells him.
"You OK?"
"... yeah"
Sebastian can't help but laugh at her which makes her glare at him. She’s about to mouth off at him when Chris comes over, having spotted them.
"Hey" he says to Maddie with a smile
"Hi... that's Stan Lee" she says, stating the obvious
"It is. Come on, I'll introduce you" he says, making her eyes go wide.
"She's freaking out a bit" Sebastian tell a him
"Sebastian" she hisses through gritted teeth. Chris can't help but smile. They really are like siblings. Sebastian is currently being the annoying older brother.
"It's OK, I was the same when I first met him" Chris tells her, trying to calm her nerves a little.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I could barely speak I was so nervous... I was about your age too"
"When did you first meet him?" she asks with a slight frown, very confused. Chris was her age ten years ago.
"It was on the set of Fantastic Four... 2003 I think"
"I always forget that’s Marvel"
"Come on, he doesn't bite, I promise"
"Go" Sebastian says to her before giving her a gentle push forward. She focuses on trying not to completely loose her mind as she walks over with Chris.
"Stan, this is Maddie, she's playing Sharon Carter" Chris says to Stan, introducing them.
"Hi... I'm a huge fan" she says, holding holding out her hand. She’s shaking slightly. God she hopes he doesn't notice.
"It's lovely to meet you" he says, taking her hand and kissing it "How are you enjoying yourself?"
"I'm having a great time. It's very different from what I'm used to but I'm loving it"
"You're on that show about the monster hunters"
"You've seen Supernatural?"
"I have. I watched a few episodes when Kevin told me you had been cast. Your character is one tough cookie"
"She is, I wish I was tough as she is" she says. She means it too. If she was even half as tough as Ali was that night probably would have turned out a lot different than it did.
"I have to say my favourite thing is the car. I had the exact same one, except it was beige"
"She is beautiful"
"Have you driven it?"
“I have. It was actually the first car I ever drove" she says, remembering the scene she filmed with Jensen of Dean teaching Ali how to drive.
It was one of the first times her and Jensen had bonded. She had been terrified and he’d been so patient with her, talking her through everything.
"Sorry guys but Mr Lee has a appointment he has to get to" his assistant says. Everyone says their goodbyes and Maddie practically skips back over to Sebastian.
"Happy?" he asks already knowing the answer. She grins at him, nose scrunched up and nods. He passes her his phone. He took a few photos of her and Stan while they were talking. She lets out a squeak of excitement and hugs him. She’s going to frame these... and send them to her dad.

Gaps Between Us
About: Chris Evans and a first person pov narrator have an age gap, sparking a controversy in the public eye, some tension among the MCU cast, and quite a bit of trouble in paradise. Thankfully, RDJ is always there to save the day.
Word Count: 3, 418
Requested By: Anonymous
A/N: Please feel free to submit reqs! My inbox ran dry and I’m always up for some inspiration :)
“Evans, quit hogging the bread!” Jeremy Renner called from the other end of the table. It was quite a stretch to accommodate so many people, almost the MCU’s entire cast was present. Nobody could turn down a dinner invitation from Robert Downey Jr. including Chris and I. We sat together, close to the rest of the original Avengers, even though I was a newer addition to the franchise. Being included at a table of thirty or so of the biggest names in my field was immensely inspiring, the kind of awe-struck moment that made me feel like I was a part of something so much bigger than myself. Robert’s after filming dinners were often like that.
Chris laughed as he picked up a roll, chucking it to his friend like a football. “If you hit the chandelier, I would’ve hit you harder,” RDJ chastised, shooting my boyfriend a playful side eye. Chris laughed harder as he waved a dismissive hand at Downey, insisting he didn’t need diamonds hanging from his temporary home’s ceiling anyway.
He slung an arm around my shoulders, stretching his fingers to grasp the side of my chair. “You aren’t gonna defend my honor, babe?” Chris asked me with faux disappointment and a cocked eyebrow.
I rolled my eyes and reached for my glass, taking a slow sip before responding, “No, you deserved that one.” I didn’t take my eyes off Chris as his face contorted with an incredulous expression and I reached behind his back to high-five RDJ whose hand was already waiting for mine.
“Wise move,” Robert quipped. Chris shook his head before returning to his plate, letting the Iron Man actor win this fight. “I learn from the best,” I countered, shooting RDJ a wink from across Chris’s lap. Over the course of this last film, the older actor and I had developed one of the closest relationships I’d ever had with a co-worker, second maybe only to my boyfriend. RDJ managed to take me under his wing and somehow I’d found a way to keep tagging along. We understood each other in a unique way, almost like we operated on the same wavelength, which was invaluable around someone as charismatic and unpredictable as Chris Evans, as much as I love him.
“You’re gonna regret that later,” Chris promised under his breath, a gruff tone only I heard. I kicked him under the table, insisting that it was all in good fun. “So,” Brie Larson said as she joined the group, dropped her plate from the make-shift buffet on the table next to mine and pulled out the chair beside me. “I’m sorry to talk shop, but I’ve got to tell you, I loved your work during the funeral scene today,” she professed, squeezing my hand with sincerity. Scarlett, who sat opposite of me, nodded in agreement as she added between bites, “Not to date myself, but I don’t think there’s a lot of actors your age who could pull off subtle, intense emotion like that.”
I blushed, staring down at my plate to avoid all of the eyes I felt on me. “Oh, thank you... I appreciate that, but I was just doing my job,” I shrugged. I was the youngest at the table by far, which could definitely be intimidating at times. Knowing my colleagues turned friends respected me and what I did just as much as I admired their work meant more than I could properly thank them for. “You all set a standard I only hope to match,” I added, squeezing Brie’s hand back.
“No, no, don’t bullshit these hacks,” Robert interjected. “I mean, sure, she was convincingly grieving my loss of life. But I expected more from the rest of you. Where were the theatrics? The professions of love now lost? The waterworks?” He shot pointed looks around the table at everyone who was present for Tony Stark’s funeral. Everyone laughed as Gwenyth Paltrow raised her hands in defense as she jokingly protested, “I had a little girl to be strong for.” “Really though, you did so great today,” Chris brought the conversation back to me as he paused devouring his meal to place a kiss on my temple. Down the table, someone groaned in objection to the PDA, which sent a heavy stone to the pit of my stomach. I felt Chris grow tense as well, always more self-conscious of our relationship than I was.
Our age difference made everything that much more difficult. It gave the media access to more insults to throw in their click-bait titles, contributed to the intense scrutiny the public eye had to offer in our line of work, and was always in the back of our minds. Not because we felt like there was anything wrong with it, but because other people did. If you asked any gossip site reader, Chris was in the midst of a mid-life crisis and I was a gold digger looking to capitalize on his vulnerability. Never mind that we were both perfectly of-age adults or that the same people used to praise our friendship all over the internet before they found out it was a little bit more.
“Relax Mackie,” Sebastian Stan teased from that end of the group, around where the groan came from. Seb had a teasing tone, shoving our friend’s shoulder jovially. Especially with them being some of the closest people to Chris on set, I’d gotten to know Anthony and Seb pretty well. Enough to know that they were only kidding, but that they sometimes didn’t know when to stop. I knew Chris inside and out though so when his ears perked up and his head followed the noise, previously furrowed brow raising as if to dare them to continue, I could tell you there would be trouble. “Her age isn’t on the clock anyway. That’s the thing, right?” Stan teased.
Chris smiled wryly with downcast eyes, watching as he spun his glass. Mackie laughed harder, the force of which threw him back in his chair as he prodded Sebastian’s chest in praise. “Just barely,” he shot back between breaths. The two chuckled one last time before the joke died down and they joined the rest of the cast in other topics of conversation. Chris didn’t seem to realize though, with the way he sat so tensely still like he’d draw more negative attention if he moved a single muscle.
I didn’t know the kind of pressure a few years could add until it burdened my chest every time a reporter brought it up on the red carpet, tugged down my soaring heart whenever we held hands in public and I caught people staring, weighed heavy on my mind when I noticed Chris grow as uncomfortable as he was now. All because of a little peck and a murmur that probably lost its original meaning among the translation of our anxieties.
Around us, the conversation amongst the original Avengers shifted to what everyone’s next projects would be now that Endgame’s filming was coming to a close. Chris, usually the most boisterous of the bunch, sat quietly as he shoved broccoli about his plate. His arm that had been wrapped around me sagged back to his side. His leg bounced rapidly like a revving engine, ready to run. I reached to squeeze his hand as a sign of comfort, that I was here and happy to be, knowing that the thought his nerves spiraling rapidly out of control in his head was never a good thing. As soon as my fingers brushed his, Chris pulled away so harshly he shot up from his seat, jostling the table unintentionally and grabbing everyone’s attention.
“I’m uh…” he scratched the back of his neck, skittish eyes bouncing between everyone staring at him. “Gonna go grab a beer. Anyone want anything?” Chris recovered, smooth enough not to raise suspicion if you weren’t within range of the anxious energy radiating from him. Soon, he stepped away from the table with everyone’s requests and escaped to the kitchen, leaving an empty chair in his wake. My eyes dropped to meet Robert’s across the space Chris had been occupying, just as wide with worry as I imagined mine were with eyebrows nearly through the roof.
“I’ll make sure Chris doesn’t fuck up that tall order,” RDJ said with an effortless nonchalance I envied, clasping his hands together as he stood. He turned to me with peaked eyebrows as he added, “Why don’t you join us, kid? Takes a few actors to screw in a lightbulb.” I accepted Robert’s outstretched hand and trailed behind him, following Chris’s footsteps until we found him bent over the kitchen island, fingers gripping the quartz so hard his knuckles were white. “Why does it have to be such a big fucking deal, huh?” he spit cynically. Chris’s face scrunched up with furrowed brows and a tight lip as his eyes, firey with misplaced rage, burned holes through Downey. “Seriously, please enlighten me. Why does everyone else who isn’t a part of this relationship give such a massive shit about it?” His voice stayed quiet as to not raise the others’ suspicion, but by the strained veins in his neck and steely look in his eye held his anger instead.
“In and out, buddy,” Robert said as he clasped a hand on Chris’s shoulder. “You know those bozos didn’t mean anything by it.” Chris snapped that it wasn’t about that, that this was much bigger than them, and I knew he was right. “That’s the problem,” he growled. “Nobody means anything by it, they’re just trying to get clicks on their articles or attention on Twitter or laughs at our expense without stopping to think the kind of shitty strain it puts us through.” Chris slammed the beer he’d grabbed on the countertop hard enough that, if it’d been opened, it would’ve created another mess for us to clean up. He was turning red and I could almost hear the tea kettle coming to a boil in his stomach, the steam ready to burst from his ears. I don’t think I’d ever seen Chris so mad.
I stayed glued to the entryway, holding my own hand behind my back as I rolled from my heels to my toes. I watched Chris nervously, not exactly sure what to do or how to help. Really I was the cause of the problem. How could I possibly offer a solution? And then, as much as I hated myself for even thinking it, the only way to fix this occurred to me.
“We could split up, you know,” I proposed so quietly I hoped that between Chris’s angry ragged breath and Robert’s attempts at rationalizing with him they wouldn’t hear me. But they did. Their eyes snapped to me as Chris’s face fell, his eyebrows furrowed and his mouth hung open, all softened by sadness. RDJ threw up his hands, shooting me a look with wide eyes and tight lips as if to say he already had enough to deal with sans me joining Chris on the ledge he was trying to talk him down from.
“Don’t say stupid things like that,” Chris scolded with a shake of his head. His shoulders sagged from their previous position taught with anger as he slipped into a state of confused heartache. He could deny it all he wanted to, but that was the only way I saw out.
“Well, I certainly don’t want to but...” I bit my lip, searching for the courage to continue with Chris giving me pleading puppy dog eyes worse than Dodger’s. “But this is just too much. All of it, all of the articles and speculation and hurtful things being thrown our way because of our relationship, it’s overwhelming.” Even when he was puffed up with rage before, I felt smaller now. Measly compared to the giant bumbling toward me as he shoved past Downey, wrapping huge arms around me like a shield, though I wasn’t sure who he was trying to protect at this point.
“You’ve got enough on your mind with your career, any relationship is a lot. Let alone one with our age gap. I know how much you hate the things people say. I just... I think we need to quit while we’re ahead and end on good terms before you start hating me, too. And if it’s what’ll make you happy then-” I spoke into his chest though I was sure he could hear me loud and clear, words suddenly snowballing out of me, gaining strength as the momentum grew with every tumbling syllable. I had to spit them out before I couldn’t. Before I changed my mind and picked what was selfish instead of best for Chris’s sake. And then he cut me off.
“Darling, I told you to stop talking nonsense. You make me happier than anything,” Chris was quiet with calm now, his angry energy redirected to dragging me back to earth when I felt so far away from him. “I could never ever even imagine a world where I felt anything less than love for you,” he paused to press a long kiss onto the top of my head before speaking again. “Let alone because of some stupid rumors and the opinions of people who don’t matter to me a fraction as much as you do.”
I melted into Chris, relishing in the way he radiated the excitement of an entire football stadium just when their home team scored the winning touchdown. How he smelled of deodorant I didn’t think anyone else wore and the liberating, fresh air of the mountains when you’re the only one there and something I still couldn’t identify anywhere else that wasn’t in his embrace. It was just Chris. And the way his beard scratched my skin as he nuzzled into the crook of my neck, the fact that I didn’t mind was so uniquely Chris as well. In fact, I’d miss it. He pressed gentle kisses into my collarbone as he rested his forehead on my shoulder, little wishes that I’d take back what I’d said. I was ready to push him away and tell him that this had to be it when it occurred to me just how much I’d miss him, but I couldn’t keep putting Chris through all of this stress just for me.
“I mean it,” I asserted though it was half-hearted, tears buried finally rising to the surface. I knew I had an ocean of them waiting inside of me, tossing and turning with my tumultuous emotions, but I had to stop the tide from rising. At least until Chris wasn’t around anymore. “We need to break-“
“No,” Robert finally cut in, dropping a gentle hand on one of each of our shoulders. “No, you don’t. Don’t say the b-word,” he repeated like he was trying to ease us out of a trance. Pity laced the soft circles he rubbed our backs. I turned to look at him, keeping an ear to Chris’s chest to prolong the comfort I found in the steady thump of his heartbeat. “The second you allow the public eye’s gaze to start changing your relationship is the second you lose yourself to this job. I can’t stand by and allow you two to lose each other too,” Downey continued, though his soft eyes stayed on me.
Then he turned to Chris with a harder look of determination, really trying to drive his point home. “Anyone who knows you at all, Evans, knows that you’ve been looking for something like this for a long time.” I felt Chris’s grip tighten around my waist, not nearly ready to let me go any time soon. I knew Robert was right. Even though I hadn’t known Chris for all that long, we got along better than I did with anyone else before. It was like we’d known each other forever even when it’d only been a few weeks and I figured, with Chris’s age and his eagerness to settle down, he’d been waiting even longer than that. “Don’t let it slip away because of other people’s opinions.” Chris nodded against my shoulder, still holding me close as if I’d run off, which I guess I tried to. “If you can’t follow your heart and tell anyone else who has something to say about it to fuck right off thank you very much, then I don’t know who could,” Robert finished with a confident smile. I thought it was funny, like he was trying to make it rub off on my boyfriend.
Chris nodded, hesitantly at first and then faster with more assuredness as what his friend said sunk in. “Now, get it together and realize that you’ve got a solid foundation with each other. I’ll be damned if you let it crumble over Mackie and Sebastian being dumbasses.” Robert smirked at us, his usual sly spark returning to his eye. “Start thinking with these a little more,” he paused to poke Chris’s chest just above his heart. “And using these a little less,” Robert said as he tapped my temple.
Chris stretched an arm around Downey, pulling both of us right to his side. “Thanks,” he breathed out, almost like a sigh of relief. “Don’t know what we’d do without you,” I told Robert, patting his shoulder with gratitude. “Yeah, yeah,” he brushed us off, pulling away from Chris’s embrace as well. “Tell me how much you love me later.” He took a few steps toward the fridge and started pulling out cans of almost everything under the sun, somehow miraculously remembering what everyone ordered when Chris wasn’t even paying attention despite being the one who asked. “We better get all these drinks out there before there’s a riot,” he said, grabbing as many as he could and sliding the rest to Chris and I. “Or worse,” Robert paused dramatically, shoving the fridge closed with his hip. “More jokes.” With that, he turned and left Chris and I standing alone in the kitchen.
Chris rolled his eyes as he turned to me, reaching for my hand. He played with my fingers for a second, watching our hands as they pressed against each other one digit at a time, before locking them together. “You know I love you a whole lot more than how mad I am at everyone else,” he said with more sincerity than I thought he could muster. It seemed to be all the honesty the world had to offer. I grinned a smile that stretched so far it made my cheeks hurt even more than the blush burned as I nodded and said with just as much integrity, “And I love you even more than that.”
Chris reached to wipe the remainder of my tears with his thumb as he shook his head and drew in a tight breath, feigning contention. “I don’t know about that. It’s like, so much for someone who was about to end things a minute ago,” he joked. Chris gathered so many drinks in his arms there weren’t any left for me to carry.
I stretched to flick his ear anyway, all but stomping my foot in protest. “I love you a hell of a lot, Evans. So much I was about to end things for your own good,” I argued with a pointed look even though it was pointless. He already knew my heart hadn’t been in it, the problem was that I’d been listening to my head just like Downey said.
He jostled the cans so they all sat in one arm before slipping his free hand into the back pocket of my jeans. “Let’s go show the world just how much then,” Chris laughed as he bent down to press a kiss into my temple, happy to still be by each other’s sides as we joined the rest of the Marvel cast.

Press Tour
Summary: Doing press tour with Sebastian and revealing your secret relationship.
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x Reader
Warnings: Lots of Fluff
Word Count: 1057
Note: none, just enjoy :)
Masterlist :)
“Are you guys ready for the actors we’re bringing out today?” the interviewer’s voice said to the loud crowd. You were at a comic-con for Marvel for Avengers: Endgame and for the actual panel. Sebastian held his hand in yours as Mackie and Chris (Evans) stood next to you.
“Let's introduce our panelists!” she said excitedly, “First up, Chris Evans!” and with a roar from the crowd Chris was walking on stage waving to the crowd.
Sebastian squeezed you hand and you looked over to him biting his lip. After all these years, he did get a little nervous around crowds. Once he was up for at least 5 minutes, he relaxed. You looked at him, and squeezed his hand back.
“Now, lets also bring out Anthony Mackie!”
“You ready?” you said to him, as he looked at you. He would be getting introduced next and you would be last
“Yeah, of course,” he said as he leaned down and gave you a quick kiss, “I love you”
“I love you too”“
Also joining us, Sebastian Stan!”
He ran onto the stage as the crowd also roared in his presence. He waved and blew kisses before sitting down next to Mackie. Mackie whispered something in his ear before he let out a quick laugh and you could see him relax a little bit.
“And we saved the best for life, lets make some noise for Y/N Y/L/N!!” the announcer said as you came on stage. The crowd was loud, and you even heard a “I LOVE YOU Y/N”.
“I love you too!” you said blowing a kiss before making your way to sit next to Sebastian, ready for the questions from the crowd and the interview.
The fans didn't know you and Seb were together, but there were plenty of rumors, edits, and videos where people shipped you two.
“Okay, we’re going to accept some questions from the audience first” the interviewer said as a stagehand handed the 4 of you microphones.
“Okay, I’ve got a question for Chris” one girl with curly blonde hair said into the microphone, “Does Cap die in Endgame?”
Chris let out a chuckle before going to answer the question, “See i would answer that but the Russos, and my fellow castmates, would probably kill me”
You laughed and noticed how Sebastian’s hand was behind you resting on the back of the couch all 4 of you were seated on. You looked at him as he gave you a smirk, you playfully rolled your eyes and gave your attention to the girl at the mic.
“Okay, I have a question for both Y/N and Sebastian” the boy said
“Fire away” you said placing your hands on top of your thighs
“Are you two dating?” he said and the crowd was completely silent, you laughed and looked at Sebastian and the rest of the cast. Chris and Mackie were looking at the two of you with big smiles on their faces.
“You wanna answer that one babe?” Sebastian said
“No, I think you just did” you managed to get out before the crowd started screaming, Chris and Mackie made “shocked” faces and you laughed.
“Wait, Chris and Anthony you two knew already?” the boy said
“Of course we did” Mackie said with a chuckle
“Other than Ruffalo, Downey, Holland, Hiddleston, Hemsworth and Scarlett, we were the first to know” Chris said
“Yeah we did suck at hiding it” Sebastian said as you chuckled, his arm that was hiding on the couch now coming out to wrap around your shoulder.
“Wait, how long have you two been together?” another fan said
“1 year and 3 months” Sebastian said without hesitation
“I'm surprised both Mark and Tom could keep the secret for so long” Mackie said as you nodded in agreement.
“I have a question for everyone” a girl said stepping up to the mic, “Do you think Y/N’s character Carson, is the strongest character in the MCU?”
“I think Thor, Carol, and Carson all tie as the strongest to be honest.” You said with a playful glint in your eye, you were referring to a slight spoiler the movie but you didn't know if anyone picked it up.
“Really? I think she’s the strongest” Mackie said
“There are definitely a lot of strong characters in the MCU, but i do think Carson is one of the top 3” Chris said
“Like Y/N said, I think Carol, Carson, and Thor all tie” Sebastian said adding his opinion.
“In Infinity War, Bucky and Sam got dusted” another fan said, “Are they coming back”
Mackie simply shrugged his shoulders while Sebastian said
“Expect the unexpected”
It was beyond obvious that their characters were coming back, but they wanted to throw the fans off track.
“Ok, another question for Seb and Y/N” another girl said, “Now that you’ve confirmed that you two are dating what do you have to say to the fans?”
“You were right all along” you said with a chuckle.
--
Later on back in the hotel, Seb was in the shower while you were scrolling through your mentions on twitter
@winterbarnes:
What’d I tell you guys!!! I knew they were dating all along :)
@carsonsbitch
Y/N and Sebastian are the cutest couple, I mean did you see the panel?
@carsonstvrk
So you’re telling me basically the entire cast knew and couldn't even drop us a hint smh
You laughed at the last one before shutting off your phone. Your social media was filled with pictures of you and Sebastian holding hands when the interview was over and pictures of you during the interview.
“Look at you, all tired out” Sebastian said as he entered the room, his towel was wrapped around his waist.
“We still have James Corden tomorrow” you groaned before you yawned, “Im just tired”
“Don't worry babe, you can sleep all night” he said once he threw on a pair of boxers. He slid into the bed bringing you closer to his chest.
“Do you think it was a good idea telling the fans?” you whispered as you looked up at him
“Yeah, they deserved to know” He said, “Plus I can finally show how much i love you in public” he said kissing your forehead
“I love you too” you mumbled as you drifted into sleep.

Sebastian Stan: Beard Burn
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x Female!Reader
Rating: M (18+)
Warning: Smut.
I giggle at Anthony's comment and lean closer into the table. Listening to the story at how Anthony had been caught dancing in his home. "I go into Twitter the next morning because I've been tagged in multiple posts," he tries not to laugh but he still smiles widely, "and see photos of me in the kitchen dancing to Wrecking Ball." He bursts out laughing and every else starts to laugh.
I wipe away the tear in my eye from laughing and a hand pulls me back, I see Evans behind me. He pulls out a blindfold, "can I put this on you?" He asks.
"Um, sounds kinky but yes." His eyes widen and laughs loudly, not realizing what he had said to be thought that way. What can I say? I have an open mind!
The blindfold gets put around my eyes gently and I am pulled up. The others follow to where he was taking me, I can't help but smile wondering what they had planned.
Everyone hushes everyone else as we stop, I hear so giggling and then 'All Of Me' starts playing. The blindfold is pulled off and all I can see is candles around the lounge room forming into a shape.
I turn as I hear the door click shut and see everyone left, "guys?!" I go over to the door but see its locked from the outside.
"Leaving so soon?" A voice say, I turn and smile when I realize who it was. Sebastian turns the corner and is dressed in a suit, a hand behind his back and the other put in his front pocket. "What a shame really, I thought we could have a dance, but if you want to leave..." I know he was being sarcastic, although his face looked completely serious.
Because he's an actor dummy, the best one you'll ever get! I think, I decide to play along. "Fine, I'll go." I point behind me to the door and slowly move to it.
He finally laughs lightly, "come here." He holds his arm out and I smile, almost skipping my way to him before wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him down into me. "Happy birthday beautiful." He mumbles, "I brought you a little something too." I move back and he gets his other arm from behind him, showing me a bunch of different coloured roses.
I gasp and look at him, he smiles down at me, "thank you, its beautiful babe." I kiss his cheek, lingering there to feel his week old stubble against his face. He closes his eyes and I take the flowers out of his hand.
"Oh!" He says suddenly like forgot something, "I brought a vase, wait here." He says, he exits the room and I smell the roses.
He comes back in with a vase full of water. I look at the vase and see its a picture of Seb and I at the beach one time with the date of when it happened. "Babe?" I say, it was honestly beautiful.
"You like it?" He says coming up behind me.
"Like it? I love it!" I place the roses in there and turn around, wrapping my arms around his neck one more. He stares down at me in awe and pulls my swiftly to the empty area where the rug was. He places his hands on my hips and sways us to the music.
"Let's go out here." He pulls me to the balcony, over looking the stars. We managed to get a place where you can over look the stars and it was beautiful and calming.
He opens the sliding door and gestures for me to go out first. I smile and thank him, walking out and patiently wait for him to come out too. He leaves the door open so we can still here the music.
Sebastian captures my hips again and we start to slow dance, my head leaning on his chest lightly, listening to his calm heartbeat and breathing. "Best birthday present I could ask for." I mumble.
"Oh, I have more planned, just you wait." Sebastian says and I tilt my head up to look at him.
"Like what?" I ask quietly, he smirks and brushes away the loose piece of hair in my face.
"You'll see." He taps my bottom lip and I roll my eyes playfully.
We start to sway to the music, although the song was almost finished. "I really love this." I whisper, I feel Sebastian's hand run up and down my back and I relax more into him, peacefully looking at the stars. "I wanna go to Mars." I say.
"Been there, done that." Seb laughs, looking at where I was looking to the slightly orange star that was Mars.
I roll my eyes at him, "oh yeah, sure. You went to Mars, it just takes around 300 days or so. You say you can't leave without me more than 1 week when you're away."
Sebastian makes a sound that goes straight to my core for some reason, "you went with me, you just don't remember." He defends himself.
"So what, you brainwashed me?" He hums a yes and I laugh. "Just like Bucky."
"Oh, you like my Bucky, don't you?" He moves me to the seat and sits me down, him kneeling down in between my legs. "It turns you on." He mumbles and kisses the top of my knee.
"What? No." I say rolling my eyes, he looks at me sternly and places his index finger on my clit. I jolt and a tiny moan escapes my mouth. He starts to rub hard and slow circles on my clit and I bite the back of my hand, throwing my head back.
"I'll give you what you want if you tell the truth, it turned you on, right? I mean, I saw you squirming in your seat when you watched the parts where I'm in there." He grabs the back of my thighs and puts them on his shoulders.
"Sebastian." I whine at him when his thumb comes in contact with my clothed core. "You being Bucky turned me on so fucking much I even imagined you fingering me with that metal arm." I admit, I blush at that and hide my face in my hands.
Sebastian laughs and kisses my inner thigh, undoing the small button on my denim skirt before pulling it off my legs. "Is that so?" He mumbles, I nod my head at him and he starts to take off my boots. "I like that it turns you on, gonna have to do some roleplay in the bedroom." Seb says running his hands from my ankles to my hips and then massages the flesh on the back of my thighs before resting them on his shoulders again. "I absolutely love feeling your thighs against my head." He says and presses a kiss to the clothed area.
My breath hitches, "Seb, please do something." I encourage, running a hand through his shorter hair.
"Just because its your birthday." He then pulls down my panties, I shiver from the cold wind, "I'll let you keep the jumper and socks on, because you know, its cold out here." I laugh at his comment and he dives straight into me, sucking straight at my clit.
I jolt and my laugh quickly turned to a cry, he smirks against me. "Holy shit, Seb." I twist his hair in my hand and his head moves to the side. He growls against me and I literally sobbed in pleasure.
"You'll make me cum in my pants if you tug on my hair like that again." He mumbles. I let a breathless laugh out and he smiles and goes back in lapping up my juice like a starved man.
I choke out and can't help but tug his hair so he was closer to me. "Seb, that feels amazing, keep doing that." I moan out, he whines against me and I peer down at him who was already looking at me. "Do you have... a... praise kink?" I manage to get out with a tiny smile.
"Shut up." He mumbles.
"You do too." I laugh, he inserts a finger in me making me shut up quickly. I roll my hips against him and moan out, throwing my head back. "Its okay... if you do. I have a... fuck... a daddy kink."
He stops and I see my juices glistening along his chin, I moan softly. "Do you now?" He smiles and starts to pump his finger faster in me.
I laugh out with a moan and nod my head, "yes I do. I want you to put another finger in me... daddy." He growls against and pushes a second finger in me then another. My eyes roll to the back if my head. "S- Seb." He attacks my clit with slow, hard licks.
He let's me adjust to his fingers before he moves them, curling them up to hit my sweet spot. I moan out loudly, "just like that?" He asks.
"Yeah, just like that Seb!" I cry out. He smiles into me and starts sucking at my clit harshly. "Oh God, keep doing that, it feels so fucking good." Both of my hands were in his hair pulling him closer to me.
He moans against me sending vibrations through my body, my eyes roll to the head of my head and my head tips back. I was so close.
"God, your so hot up there." Seb mutters.
I move my head back up again and he was looking at me, his piecing eyes making me squirm, "I love the way your beard leaves burns against me." I stutter out. He shakes his head against me making me feel his stubble against me things even more. "Oh God! Fuck yes! Like that, argh! Don't stop Seb, please don't stop. I'm gonna cum." He hums as he continues his actions and I tip over the edge. "Ah, fuck. Sebastian!" I scream his name as I cum on his mouth, his fingers not stopping. When I come down though he doesn't stop, "Seb, Seb, oh God its too much, Seb. Sebastian!" I start screaming out again as my next high approaches quickly.
His other hand replaces his mouth and he rubs fast against my clit. I let out a shriek, trying to move away from him. "Come on baby, you can cum for me again. Come all over my fingers sweetheart." He presses his fingers against my g-spot harder and I shatter again.
"Argh, Seb!" I scream. I come over his fingers a second time and shake violently against him.
He makes a sound of amazement and I look at him, his jacket was covered in my juices. "Holy shit babe." I pant and cover my face with my hands in embarrassment. "Aw, baby, don't be shy. That was so fucking hot." He takes off his jacket, setting it on the chair.
I grab Seb's face in my hands and lift him up so our lips met in a sloppy kiss. "Do you think they would have heard us?" I ask against his lips.
"Us? You mean you, and yeah, probably." He smiles.
"Yay." I say sarcastically.
He laughs and helps me up getting my skirt and panties on, "come in, let's go back down stairs."
I take his hand and we walk down stairs. "We all heard that!" Scarlett yells pointing at us. I blush and hide my face in Sebastian's shirt.
"Happy birthday babe." Seb says smirking down at me.
"Shut up Seabass."

Uhhhhh so I keep hearing rumors that the black widow movie isn’t about Natasha??? Do you know anything about this?? Thoughts? Lmao
Yeah, it’s a bullshit rumor that someone on twitter took waaaay out of context and now everyone’s freaking out for no reason.
Basically, when casting breakdown’s were first announced, there was a female who was described as a “co-lead” opposite Natasha. Recently, a supposed 4chan leak came out that “confirmed” this character as Yelena Belova, and described the film as introducing her as “the new Black Widow.” Now, if you’ve read comics, that’s almost always the way Yelena is described in regards to Natasha, but some people on twitter somehow took that description to mean that the movie will spend more time setting up Yelena to take over the Black Widow mantel (making her the main character) than it will giving Natasha a good story/arc. And so now a bunch of stupid people are freaking out and using this as an excuse to hate on Yelena (lol).
Look, I’m not saying that Marvel wouldn’t plan ahead and want Florence Pugh to return for more films, or even pass the Black Widow title to Yelena now that Nat’s gone. And tbh, the prospect is exciting for me (bc y’know, I’m a giant fucking Yelena stan!). But there’s no fucking way under the sun that Scarlett, who’s waited for this film for ten years, is getting payed 20million to star, and who is producing the film, would EVER let Nat take second position to Yelena in her OWN FUCKING FILM. That’s just not gonna happen. I’m excited to possibly see Yelena get priority as a character, and hopefully not have the mcu totally mess her up, and see her in future movies, but it’s fucking ridiculous to believe that she will get more screen time/be the main character over Natasha.

My formal Goodbye
Hey guys it’s been almost two years since my last post I know... and it feels like an eternity now. Currently I’m in college so I don’t have as much time as I used to but I always remember this space, this Tumblr the community with happiness even if you believe me or not this Tumblr support me in difficult times of my life and I’m grateful of what I achieve here I can’t believe I have 18.000 followers I mean I thought that by this time I will have zero but it’s nice that even if you forgot that you’re following this blog it’s still here Thanks for that
Since I have gone for Tumblr there where a lot of changes here (Tumblr) and in the MCU I can’t even describe how happy I was in avengers Infinity war and endgame they represent a lot to this geeky part of me I really enjoy them and don’t even let me start with Stan “the legend” Lee somewhere in this Tumblr there was a letter for him I guess he never even saw it but the words are here and the feeling it’s the same. So many things happen in this two year I can’t even pretend talk about all right now
Whatever, I want to tell you guys thank you for support this space, for your comments, messages and everything every single note even if you stole some idea... kidding that’s not cool hahaha but thank you I don’t really know if someday I will come back to be as active as I was or if I will return to Tumblr at all but the possibility it’s there.
There’s no specific reason why I let this space I just don’t have the time right now and well life changes... so do we, I still love marvel, game of thrones and all those things that you maybe know but I just feel like I have to say goodbye to this part of my story or at least a “see you later” and I want to say goodbye properly to you guys even if only one read this.
Here I let my twitter account you can know from me there it’s in Spanish but sometimes I tweet in English only if you’re interested in the “good old times”
https://twitter.com/tteresajimenez
In order to finish this, I will give you some tips that I learn these years and why not? they maybe will work for you
1. Be yourself (but cooler) as Tony Stark
2. Never let the disappointing feeling consume you like Thor did when he lost his powers
3. Fight! all of us have struggles but even if you are powerless like black widow or Hawkeye you must keep fighting sometimes the “powerless” ones save the world
3. Be loyal to yourself like Cap was
4. Control your anger as Hulk
5. Don’t be afraid of love as Scarlett and Vision
6. Open yourself to the world they deserve to know you! (parallelism with Wakanda)
7. BE YOUR OWN HERO.
Thank you very much, with love Teresa Jimenez aka “Wakanda entertainment”

My MARVEL Journey
A/N: Hi, yes. No one answered if they'd like to hear/read it, but I will put it here anyways. It's long, it's very long. But I hope you read this. This brought me to tears. Enjoy.
My first Marvel-related memory was probably when Captain America: The First Avenger came out. A picture of Steve Rogers shirtless was in the magazine and I laughed at it. I don’t remember the particular reason, but something about ‘who the hell’s going to go see this movie? only because of the shirtless guy, i’m sure’. Yes, yes, Rūta, you’re sure.
It was 2012 and the movie Avengers had come out. Me and my dad were sitting in a cafeteria, looking at the small printed repertoire of the nearest cinema, wanting to see Avengers. But, alas, I was too young. I was only eleven at the time and the movie had an age restriction, 12+. Made me a bit confused and I was often told I look older than I am, but dad didn’t want to break any rules. So, we went home.
I don’t know when exactly this was, but we were at home and I was doing something on my own, dad was in his room and I heard that he was watching a movie. So I ran up the stairs to see what he was watching. The Avengers.
I sat down next to him, having no idea what was happening in the movie, and watched a fragment of the movie with him. At the time, I really liked Chris Hemsworth and Thor, one of my first celebrity crushes. So dad asked me “You like that Thor guy, right?” At which I smiled and said yes. Eleven-year-old me, oh my god, that is so funny to me now.
When Iron Man 3 came out, I was thankfully above the restricted age and dad took me to the cinema to see Iron Man 3. My english wasn’t that good then, so I understood like 40% of what everyone was saying. But I remember liking the movie a lot, it felt fresh and new and I really liked the humor and Tony and Harley’s interactions. Towards the end of May 2013, at some point I had drawn Iron Man’s hand with the light and showed it to my dad. He liked it so much that he took a photo and posted it to his Instagram. Or was that 2014? I actually can’t remember.
Then, sometime later in the year, we went to see Thor: The Dark World. One of MCU’s worst movies, but at the time I liked it, cause, of course, I liked Loki and Thor a lot, and their actors.
That’s when I think my involvement with Marvel really started. I used to draw Loki and Thor in my notebooks, save photos and memes of them in my first touch-screen phone and put them as wallpapers. There was one really good drawing of Loki I did, I think I still have it somewhere. But really, for my drawing skills at 12-years-old, it was exceptionally good. His face was very detailed and similar to the real photo.
I used to watch a lot of videos of Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth on my laptop, I had so many photos of them saved, and I used to watch Thor: the Dark World and Avengers all the time, not understanding a thing or what’s happening, what’s the storyline. All I knew is that I loved Loki and he was my first favourite Marvel character. Some time passed until I got more in depth with his character. I was young and silly, okay? Forgive me.
Next thing, I found out my classmate also liked Loki and the MCU movies. I was happy I found someone with the same interest, a bit unhappy that it wasn’t my best friend. But I knew she’d come around, and I had my fun.
Spring 2014 came around and me and my dad were going to New York City. My god, I couldn’t wait. I’d wanted to go there since I could remember. Around the time we went there, the press tour for Captain America: The Winter Soldier had started and I had thrown Marvel to the side a little.
Me and my dad went to a comic book store in NYC, not so far from Central Station, because he wanted to look for Transformer comics and I wanted to find a Loki comic for my classmate. The comic shop was small, but god was it cool. It had very steap stairs, you had to climb them to get there. And they were narrow and someone wanted to come down when we were going up, so it was quite uncomfortable. But the comic store was heaven for me.
It had action figures, pop! toys with the bobby heads, Mjlonir!!! and Loki’s helmet!! and Cap’s shield!! In actual life size. That was cool. There were toys from CATWS, and I told dad “Oh, the new Captain America movie is coming out sometime around now.” cause I remember seeing it on twitter and seeing a snippet of the trailer. I marvelled at the toys, looking at them. Natasha, Steve, the Winter Soldier, Falcon, Nick Fury. It was very exciting. There were probably other promotional things except for the toys, but I didn’t see them (or just don’t remember them).
Dad got his transformer comic, and I got my Loki comics, and we left. I think we spent from 30 minutes to an hour there. No regrets.
A week, I think, after returning from NYC, me and my best friend went to see Captain America: the Winter Soldier. I still didn’t quite know what was happening, but I remember seeing the trailer and thinking ‘how epic is this!! some mysterious guy, cap looking very attractive, natasha having a great haircut, i’m excited!!’. And that’s where the real ‘trouble’ began.
I saw Bucky and Steve’s friendship somehow, for an unknown reason, very similar to my own, with my friend. I don’t know why, it just seemed so familiar, so well-known. None of us have been brainwashed and made an assasin, but I think already then we shared the same deep connection as Steve and Bucky and we still do. Maybe that’s why I saw a familiarity there - I’d do anything, go against anyone for my best friend, just like Steve did for Bucky.
I had so many pictures of Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson in my phone, I changed my wallpaper every other day, very often. I watched their previous, non-marvel movies all the time. And then Scarlett’s “Lucy” came out and me and my best friend watched it in poor quality on my iPhone 4. We also watched CATWS in poor quality on my iPhone 4. How could we do that?? On such a small screen?? Was desparation the reason? Who knows.
Anyways, I was obssessed with Marvel then. Couldn’t wait for the next Avengers and Captain America movies, didn’t even know what they’d be about. Then, I had started to see into the characters and my english had improved, so I started to understad everything better.
I remember one evening after seeing CATWS, we spent like 30 euros on groceries to make dinner and spend some time together, and we were making that dinner and then watching the first Captain America movie. It was one of the best nights of my life.
Spring 2014 is still the favourite time of my life, because it gave me so much. So many new people, characters, discoveries, books, travels, friends, etc. I loved that period in my life, all of the first half of 2014. If I could travel in time, I would go and live in that time for as long as I could, being the same age as I was then. I wouldn’t necessarily want to live there as myself like I am now, I’d like to be as young and weird as I was then.
Every spring, I am reminded of 2014’s spring. The smell of fresh rain plus the smell of blooming lilac and lingon. The music I listened to then, the places I was at most often then, the smells and feelings of spring. It’s interesting that spring reminds me of that particular year’s spring, not other years. It is somehow best settled in my memories and my heart.
I will say that Captain America: the Winter Soldier changed my life. It did, and it’s not an exaggaration. This movie and the characters and the actors provided something of an escape for me. From what? I don’t know, really, but they were my home. Made me feel accepted. And I started to connect with people on Instagram and Tumblr through Marvel and it gave me a community I was accepted in, I was finally a part of. I hadn’t found that kind of thing until then. I hadn’t found a place for myself until I discovered the Marvel fanbase. And it’s the best fandom I’ve ever been a part of, the most true and loving and accepting and understanding people. The only haters in the fanbase are the directors and script-writers for the movies ;)
2014 was a very colorful year for me, my interests changed and came and went, but Marvel was a constant interest for me. It was always there, always somewhere on the side. I got a Captain America beanie and a shirt for Christmas, from my dad. Still one of my favourite Christmas gifts ever.
2015 had come around and I had changed as a person, a lot, and I wouldn’t say for the better. I was very stuck on something, stuck in an unlikable version of myself, and it was strange suddenly to communicate and be with people around, in groups. But I managed. I got a Captain America wallet for my 14th birthday that year. And I still have it, although it’s broken and wore-down, but now I have another Marvel wallet.
There was a youth film jury thing happening on a May Sunday, which was also the day me and my dad went to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. I agree, not one of Marvel’s best movies, but I liked it. The movie was funny, full of love and action, and very… discovering, as well. The movie showed each character’s fears and doubts about themselves, what they think is the worst about themselves. And that’s a strong move, to show the heroes’ weaknesses. I’ve always liked that. When a movie/tv show shows the main character’s real personality, their weaknesses, fears, the things that make them human, just like me. And it means a lot. To know that heroes like Natasha Romanoff, a genius phylanthropist like Tony Stark, a super-man like Steve Rogers and a god like Thor have a weak spot and are still humans, that they still feel what regular people do.
The similarities I can draw between myself and Steve Rogers, for example, is a) having a skill for motivational speeches, b) crossing borders and breaking rules for our best friend, c) standing by what we believe in and not giving into anyone, d) we’ll do what we have to, even if everyone else says it’s wrong, but we know it’s not. The similarities between myself and Tony Stark are a) we’re both geniuses in some ways, b) we’re geniuses who can’t sleep, c) we’re geniuses who are overlooked by most people, what we do for ourselves and for others, our friends and family is overlooked and unnoticed by others, d) we know what’s the right thing to do, e) we’re capable of more than we think (I hope).
I don’t think I have any similarities with Thor or Hawkeye or Banner. With Natasha… I just might. We’re both secretive about ourselves, about what’s happening inside, about what we’re hurting. Also we both know what we have to do, we also know that if we don’t do it, nobody else would. We both make sacrifices.
Age of Ultron was a fun time, it was some sort of highlight of the journey, well, one of the highlights. So many funny videos, so many interviews and events and comic con panels. Oh, and the credits of the movie! The sculpture of the Avengers and Ultron and his soldiers was so beautiful, I loved it. Still one of my favourite MCU credits.
Never around that time, or in 2014, or in 2013, had I thought that the Avengers movies would end at some point. Sure, I thought about the Captain America franchise - how many movies can you make? What are the Avengers going to do in the next movie? You know, stuff like that, but I never gave it more thought than that. My mind never really went there. I was too hyped about the movies coming out constantly, I was excited and couldn’t wait for each movie. My best friend reminded me on the night of Endgame premiere how she recalls me being so excited for every new movie Marvel had coming out, I think I can remember hyping the movies up, ranting happily and just being giddy and over-all excited, telling her my opinions and stuff, you know, like a true fan.
At the end of 2015, the trailer for Captain America: Civil War had come out. And the excitement grew, cause you know I’d see Steve and Bucky together again. I couldn’t wait!!
And, of course, you had to choose either if you were Team Iron Man or Team Cap, before the fans even knew what was happening. All you knew was that Steve and Tony were indifferent. Well, they couldn’t show more, otherwise they would spoil the whole plot.
I was literally the only one who was on Team Cap in all my class and my friends, everybody else was on Team Iron Man. But, you know, as our dear friend Steve Rogers, I stood my ground and didn’t falter. Captain was always my favourite and I was more a fan of him than any other Avenger. You know, when you’ve been a fan of Captain America for three years, you can’t choose Team Iron Man.
Even my best friend was Team Iron Man. One day, we were staying in line at the school cafeteria and she just said “You know, but Steve is old.” Which is one hell of an argument, I laughed in ehr face and could still do it. It’s just so funny. Yeah, okay, Tony wasn’t frozen in the ice for 70 years, but it’s no argument.
We went to see CACW on the same day we tried the black face mask for the first time. Our faces were extremely red, no matter how much make-up we put on. But I think it went off after a while. We went to the premiere, it was the first time we were in the new SCAPE auditorium. It was h u g e, the biggest 3D auditorium in the Baltic countries. I think it was the first time it was opened or at least the first week, I don’t know, maybe that’s incorrect, but I hadn’t been there before. We sat in the middle, and there was a girl with a Cap t-shirt next to us, and turned out my best friend knew her somehow, but I don’t know about that.
It was honestly, a whole experience. While the movie meant a lot to me emotionally, CACW as well as CATWS were comic book movies as much as they were political thrillers. Brilliantly done, perfect actors, good plots and turns and twists, great characters, cinematography = brilliant, the music = well written and fitting to all characters and their storylines.
I went to Civil War with one of my best friends, who is also my neighbour, and as strange as it seems since we’ve been friends since 2008, that was the first and only (yet) time we went to a movie together. And we were texting before the movie and talking about which tram to take and I asked her which team she’s on, of course, expecting her to be on Team Iron Man as everyone else. But she wasn’t! Finally someone on Team Cap!! I was so happy, haha. I was glad I wasn’t alone. It was cool, going to the movies with her. And it was only two days after I first saw CACW.
2016 was also the year Batman vs Superman came out, and Suicide Squad. BvS didn’t suck as much as SS did. God, it couldn’t live up to the hype. But I liked Batman vs Superman, I really liked the movie. I saw it twice, once with my best friend and once with my dad. I also saw Civil War twice in the theater, but altogether I’ve seen the movie probably about 200 times. It’s meditative to me, and each time I watch it, I spot something new in the charaters and the storyline. I watch it when I’m sick, when I’m at home and lazying around. I love it. Probably one of my favourite Marvel movies.
Later in May 2016, my classmate was calling me and asking if I wanted an Iron Man shirt. “It’s red, it’s big, wait, I’ll send you a picture”. So she did and I said ‘yes, of course’! It cost me five or six euros, but it was original Marvel merchandise that she bought in a second-hand shop.
In 2016 I also saw Doctor Strange. It was in November or October, I can’t place exactly, but I know I was going alone. The first Marvel movie I saw alone in the movie theater. And I was running late, as well. It was raining, but I made it in time. And it was again a premiere. I loved the movie. My classmate asked me “yo Rūta have you seen that Dr Strange movie yet?” I was like “yes, of course, it’s a Marvel movie, I went to the premiere”. I was like that back in the day, acting like it’s, you know, evident and a fact that I see all the Marvel movies immediately as they’ve come out (which I did). Anyway, I said yes and she was like “oh well were the directors on drugs? cause we saw it and the movie was so trippy, felt like lsd”. I was like…. “well, I don’t know how to tell you, but the movie’s based on comics and in the comics, as in the movie, there’s the idea of multiple universes and dimensions and what they’d look like, and I think what they showed in the movie would be quite accurate in real life if we could travel to these dimensions. The movie is meant to twist your mind and make you believe the impossible is possible and that we’re not alone in this life, we’re not alone in our environment. So it’s not meant to be trippy, but it’s meant to show you how misticism is combined with intelligence and the modern world.” Her answer was something like “oh, okay. but it’s still trippy.” It annoyed me a bit, but you know it’s okay, she doesn’t completely understand cause she’s not a fan. So it’s whatever, it’s cool.
2017 had begun and I was on a bit of a pause, it was my last year of secondary school and I had also discovered the Beatles and they changed me as a person, as well. I had emotional and existential discoveries within myself from them, but that’s not what this is about.
Me and my best friend had drifted apart a bit, so I started to hang out with other girls in my class, and they were very accepting and they were cool to spend time with. One of them, now my Marvel friend and one of my best friends, as well, also liked Marvel and had for some time. So we became closer friends and went to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. She really likes the Guardians, because she likes humor and the comedy genre, but I’m not the biggest fan of those. GOTG2 had George Harrison on its soundtrack. Harrison is one of the few loves of my life and my favourite singer, my favourite person. I was hyped to hear him in the movie, and it was in the perfect situation. To my friend, I was a bit too hyped.
Then, summer, me and my other friend went to see Spider-Man: Homecoming. I was very excited to see this movie, I had waited a year for the new Spider-Man story to be told, and I wanted to see how he’d be portrayed by this youngster, Tom Holland, who came to be one of my idols.
His story is truly inspiring. Spider-Man was his favourite superhero growing up and he had wanted to be an actor. He trained in ballet, in gymnastics, and that gives him the ability to not have a stunt-man for his Spider-Man role. His abilities, all in all, are incredible. And he’s achieved his dreams, fans have helped him and they mean a lot to him. We mean a lot to him, we’ve helped him achieve this dream.
SM:HOCO was a good movie, and I liked it a lot. It was the year I’d start high school, and I had always felt like Peter Parker. You know, out-casted, one friend, but smart and a bit awkward. I can still see the biggest similarities between myself and Parker. I remember thinking, when I started high school, “Oh I’m definitely like Peter Parker”. And I was, I still am, kind of. I’m not as smart as him, and I can’t shoot spider webs or climb plane walls or lift buses. But I see a lot of myself in him. How he tries hard, but nobody sees it, tries to help everyone, but gives problems instead (without wanting to), wants to go on every adventure. He has a person that he’s trying to prove himself to, but he’s never enough in their eyes, that is also something I often feel. And that he, an outcast at school and a supposable nobody can be a world-saving hero, means a lot as well, and speaks highly to me.
Fall 2017, high school and thinking everything’s fine and that I’m doing good. I meet my Marvel friend and we have a bite together and then go to see Thor: Ragnarok in the theater. If I remember correctly, it was the 30th of October.
I was so happy to see Thor and Loki on a screen together again that I shed tears of joy. They started my Marvel journey and it meant a lot to see them finally, for some moments, not fighting each other, but fighting along side together. And Taika Waititi did a great job for the movie and for Thor’s character, proving that he can still be the God of Thunder without his hammer. The movie was incredible, one of the best the MCU has. We laughed, we cried, we had a great time. One of my favourite days.
Project time came around, we had o make a scientific research about a topic we were interested in. To say it shortly, the process and result wasn’t pleasant, so, on Friday February the 16th, me and my Marvel went to see Black Panther - a spontanious idea, and it was the day it came out, so we made it just in time. My dear friend got a bit lost in the area around the cinema, but I helped her get here. We promised each other that next time we’ll go there together so she doesn’t get lost.
She bought us M&M’s (which we succesfully threw to the ground while the movie was playing) and popcorn. I still have both packets in my room somewhere. I kept them because it made me remember one of the best days of my life. I was feeling horrible that day and meeting her and seeing Black Panther put me in an ecstatic mood, I got much happier. So yes, these movies and characters do save my life, and so do my friends.
Black Panther was a big breakthrough for people of colour and women, which is great and I love that. It got, I think, at least one Oscar and Golden Globe. They deserve it. And Ryan Coogler is a great director. I loved the movie, it was so beautiful and nothing was out of order, I’d literally give it a 10/10.
Then, I started my Marvel movie marathon because Infinity War was coming. I remember sometime in summer 2017 or fall 2017 the trailer leaked and I didn’t want to watch it, but I did. And when it officially came out, I had forgot the leaked one.
My Marvel movie marathon went well, and I watched Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp for the first time. Now that I watch it a year later, I can say that AMATW is one of MCU’s best movies. It’s so well done. But anyways, it was so strange watching all the movies I watched when I had just started my Marvel journey. Infinity War was the beginning of the end of this incredible story, and it was very emotional.
When I was watching the first Thor, I accidentally spilled tea on my laptop, so it was a bit of a disaster, but the laptop is fine now. I dried it and continued to watch Thor. How silly of me, now that I think of it.
Then, one fine sunday the sun was out and me and my Marvel friend were meeting up to spend the day together. Mom was at work, so we were alone and we decided to watch Thor: Ragnarok again. We drank Cola with lime and watched the movie, had a good time. It was such a good day, again, one of my favourites.
April 26th, 2018. The day we went to see Infinity War—it was an unspoken rule that we’re going to every Marvel movie together—I’d had an emotional day already and was quite spent. We met up at the mall and I hadn’t finished watching Black Panther, the last movie on my marathon’s list. So we watched it at the mall, on a sofa. We had an hour to go and I don’t think we finished watching Black Panther till the end.
Well, Infinity War… wow. That was, uh, that was something. I remember how hard we cried. I remember how many tissues we used. I remember how we walked out of the theater, into the night, and we just… we didn’t know what to do. I tried to make up some theories about all the deaths, tried to find something positive, tried to find a way out of it all. But I couldn’t. And my friend was too sad to listen to my ramblings. We were broken.
The next few weeks were hard for me, I’d say the month of May was hard for me. Not only because of Infinity War, but it was a big reason. I don’t want to talk about the other reasons. But, it was hard to find strength to carry on, it was hard to live without those characters. I mean, Steve had then lost Bucky twice before his eyes. And I couldn’t understand how they could do that. Twice, I mean, t w i c e ??? Blows my mind.
And Peter. That broke me so deep I still don’t know if it has fixed. Right in front of Tony’s eyes. It was… something I couldn’t comprehend, as well. And I prayed to myself that Steve doesn’t go, that Tony doesn’t go, that Sam doesn’t go. For a while, I was relieved that Steve and Tony didn’t get ‘dusted’, but I couldn’t bare the actual deaths.
I didn’t go to see Ant-Man and the Wasp that summer. I don’t know why, maybe it just slipped. The opportunity slipped. But I don’t know. My friend did, she saw it and said it’s very good. Now, I don’t take other people’s opinions into account in order to watch a movie or before I do, I like to not hear anything about a movie before I watch it. But she was right about this one.
2018 was also a colorful and adventurous year for me, so Infinity War was one of the main events that impacted my life that year. I swore that I wouldn’t watch it again, at least not in 2018. And I did. I only watched it for a second time on January 1st this year and right before Endgame. The movie is good, and epic, as well, but I just can’t watch it as many times as I do the other MCU movies.
In November or December came the first teaser for Avengers: Endgame and we finally got the title. It was very emotional, a very dark trailer with no space for hope. I shed a few tears and thought “i’m not ready for this”. I was not.
Captain Marvel came around and at first I thought I’d wait and watch it at home, but then I got five cinema gift cards for my birthday and realised I could use one to see Captain Marvel. So I did, I bought my ticket and went to the premiere.
It was a very emotional evening because I had lost my wallet and someone had stolen it. So I ran around the streets, looking for it, and I was soon going to be late for my movie. So I ran to the cinema, crying all the time, and sat down in my seat.
The movie was amazing, I just couldn’t fully enjoy it because I was thinking about my wallet and hoping that someone had found it and gave to the authorities, hoping that I’d get it back somehow, someday. Well, I didn’t, but I got myself a new wallet and eventually stopped crying about the lost one.
Captain Marvel was truly incredible and unpredictable at moments. As much as some people think it was a feminist movie, it was not produced that way and not meant that way. It was meant to show Carol’s origin story, her own feelings and confusion and doubts towards who she is and how she fights for what’s right. I loved the movie, it was truly a masterpiece.
Teasers and trailers started coming out for Endgame and the press tour soon started and I engaged myself fully with it all, followed tags and profiles that I could get updates from.
It brought tears to my eyes to see Robert, Scarlett, Chrises, Ruffalo and Renner experience all the fun, all the love and the press tour for the last time. And then there’s Brie Larson who experiences it all for the first time. There was this video where someone said something to Brie and she got shy, started crying and put her head on Downey’s shoulder and he laid a kiss on her head. It was just sweet and well, because Downey knows how one can get shy of the compliments and attention and he’s been through it all, and he’s the one who started it all. So he sees Brie is still not used to what it all means and he knows he can give her the comfort. It’s just… giving me indescribable emotions and tears.
24th of April, 2019. The day I saw Endgame was such a great day. It was warm and sunny, even hot at times. I rode my bike back and forth over Daugava, listened to music and sang while riding, enjoyed the sun and some food. I was happy. Then, my Marvel friend had forgot she was supposed to be at the cinema by 19:10, so I called her and she tried to get there as soon as she could. Once I was inside the auditorium, I started stressing, I started panicking. It really hit me that my journey, our journey, their journey was coming to an end. This would be the last Avengers movie where they are all together, fighting together and talking and you know, Avengers stuff. It registered in my brain, although I don’t think it fully has now, actually. I started crying, I started to breath heavily and my friend wouldn’t come, I didn’t know where she was. I had prepared a gift for her that originally I planned to give her on her name day, but this was too much of a big event for us both. She had already seen Endgame at the night premiere, but we keep our promise to see all Marvel movies together. Well, we kinda fell out with that, but still.
Our friendship wasn’t born solely from Marvel, but that was one of the basics. And she means so much to me, I can’t even describe. She’s been through the last phase of Avengers with me and she, maybe a bit more than my best best friend, has seen me change and seen the impact the characters have on me with time, how they’ve helped me, helped shaped me as a person.
She won in the quiz about Marvel and got a huge poster, bigger than herself, and socks as a prize. Socks she gave to me, they’re comfy, but made for men. Still, I wear them, what’s the difference, really? Feet are feet :D
I cried so much during Endgame. It was a painful movie, an ending to something so wonderful, and I still can’t bear it. I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again, but I think I’ll buy the DVD when it comes out and watch it at home at some point. As much as I’d never forgive myself for not seeing the credits again (because they were beautiful), I can’t watch it again. I’d have a breakdown.
I actually already did. Before the movie, after the movie (several), during the movie. Especially when everyone came back. Cause I thought that’s how Steve was gonna go - alone against Thanos with his broken shield. But then everyone came back and I had a… I called it “a positive anxiety attack”. I was happy, I was relieved, but I was stressed and in panic and I was glad and I was… Ah, just everything at once. I was sobbing and breathing heavily again, I was… I was at a strange condition.
There are so many wrongs made in Endgame with the characters, as well as plot-holes simply dismissed. But in my view, it was a better movie than Infinity War. It’s the most epic superhero movie ever made. There won’t ever be a better one made.
Three days after seeing Endgame, I took part in an MCU Quiz with my friend. We got third place! I’m very happy about that, it means a lot to me. We got a mug, a poster and a comic book which I’ve yet to read and share with her. That was truly amazing, I have to thank Kino Kults for the amazing experience and gifts.
Endgame drew a part of my life which I love as much as my family to a close. It concluded a chapter, locked it closed with a key. And I still can’t come to terms with it, I still can’t realise it fully, I still can’t comprehend. That along with every fan and every actor and producer that has been a part of the MCU, my Marvel story and journey has ended. Well, I actually hope it hasn’t. There’s lots to look forward to, but the Avengers… no more.
I’ve spent a lot of money on Marvel, merchandise and souvenirs, and I don’t regret a single cent. Movie tickets, comics, posters, phone cases, necklaces, rings, keychains, shirts and hoodies. I’ve made original merchandise (for myself only) as well, and I think that’s very cool. I have my own idea and I make it happen. I’ve made art, I’ve made my own notebook and book covers with Marvel characters on them that I use in school, I’ve customized boxes and folders with Marvel themes. I have two self-customized shirts, two self-customized hoodies, and three or four merchandise shirts from Marvel. I’ve had joggers, pyjama pants, etc. I still have my beanie and I use it from time to time, I wear my clothes proudly.
The people who are a part fo the MCU that have inspired and impacted me the most are Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Tom Holland and Tom Hiddleston. Their stories, their personalities, their motivations, their characters have given me so much, they’ve taught me so much about life and about myself, as well. They’ve brought me where I am now. I couldn’t be here without them, I couldn’t be who I am without them. Without all of the actors and characters, actually.
If I could have any way to thank them, any way to reach the actors and talk to them, I would be so thankful. If I’d meet at least one of them, well, it would be a dream come true. They’re all still alive and if I had any opportunity to get to a Con, a meet and greet, or simply meet them accidentally, I would use it. It’s my dream to talk to them, to see them in real life. I’d give anything for that to come true.
This journey has been absolutely incredible. I’ve made new friends through Marvel, made artworks, had ideas, discovered music, discovered artists, discovered new things about myself and others. When I had nothing, I had Marvel and their movies and characters. They gave me hope when I couldn’t. They made me believe in myself when I didn’t have the strength to and nobody else would.
Marvel, you have been my life and my home for the past seven years. O cannot ever thank you enough. You’ve given me so much. I’m so glad I was here, I was on board while all the movies came out. They shaped my childhood, my adolescence and made me into who I am today. I can’t believe the avengers’ journey is over. It never really will be. For me, at least. They’ll live forever in my heart, in the fans’ hearts and in cinematic and culture history.
Thank you, Marvel. Thank you, Robert Downey Jr. Thank you, Chris Evans. Thank you, Avengers. I love you 3000.

The Chris/Brie thing is just a big shrug for me. They are friends they've worked together before so big deal. Shippers are going to ship and that's OK. It's not that much different from those that used to ship him and Scarlett. It's gonna happen.
exactly. I get why people here start to panic but also, please don’t take standom seriously. bc well.. stan twitter is like playing monopoly and cards against humanity at the same time lol. basically they rolled the dice to see what’s interesting today and forget about it the next morning. so your day might be going well and then you’re in jail for being problematic within a day on stan twitter.
so, most of the time I’m just—

How was film marketed
At the 2015 Licensing International Expo, Disney Consumer Products announced that they would partner with licensees including Hasbro, Lego, Funko, Hot Wheels, Rubies, Mad Engine, C-Life, Jay Franco, Global Brand Group, Kellogg’s, Hallmark and American Greetings to sell merchandise related to the film; Coca-Cola, Google, Samsung, Wrigley, Harley Davidson, Audi, Synchrony Financial, Pringles, Keebler, Pizza Hut, Pop Secret, Mouser Electronics, and Vivo, among other brands, were also licensees for the film.
Cross Media Convergence
The marketing campaign consisted of two trailers, many TV spots, posters and a press tour. Disney’s massive size helped a lot in publicizing the film. The trailers that were released on Marvel’s official YouTube channel generated a lot of views. Trailer one had over 11 million views and trailer two had over 73 million views. Both trailers were very successful in generating excitement towards the film and played a significant role in driving people to go and see the film in cinemas.
CGI (computer-generated imagery)
When it comes to visual effects, the popular refrain over the past few years has been pretty simple: practical effects good, computer-generated effects bad. But the truth is infinitely more interesting, as movies have largely stepped out of the uncanny valley of problematic CG, and entered an era where digital effects are so good, audiences don’t even realize that’s what they’re seeing
Marketing and Distribution, Product Promotions:
Captain America Civil War absolutely crushed the box office over the weekend and, just one weekend into being open in every territory, is already well on its way to a billion dollars. Currently sitting at $675,791,000 for its global box office haul, it should find itself clearing $700 million by the end of the day and hitting the coveted $1 billion mark by the end of its second weekend. Arguably the most notable partnership was the slick Audi commercial that featured footage of the chase scene between Winter Soldier, Black Panther, and Captain America, directed by the Russo brothers themselves. Naturally, this was never a movie that wasn’t going to do well, but the speed with which it’s climbing toward that billion dollar mark is a testament to not only the great product, but the marketing campaign, as well. The tie-in promotions and brand partnerships have amounted to roughly $200 million, with over 100 companies worldwide partnering with the film and offering product tie-ins.The best thing Marvel’s PR and marketing has going for it is the cast members themselves - they’re all great on the publicity tours, comfortable with one another and in front of the camera, and have endeared themselves to fans as much as the characters they play.
Pizza Hut has debuted collectible boxes that allow people to share their allegiance to either Cap or Iron Man with their pizza orders, while cereal and potato chip lovers can look for an exclusive VR experience that will accompany their purchase of participating Kellogg’s, Pringle and Keebler products. Limited-edition Pop Secret popcorn bags feature printed comic panels with Avengers characters. Ahead of the film’s release, there will be a large digital push with campaign told across Google, YouTube and Twitter, which will culminate in a massive online vote: Team Captain America vs. Team Iron Man. The marketing effort has also lined up the smartphone brand Vivo for a blitz across China and Thailand that includes TV, print, digital and out-of-home advertising.
Where and When was it released
USA 12th April 2016 (Los Angeles, California) (premiere)
UK 26th April 2016 (London) (premiere)
USA 6th May 2016
Germany 21st April 2016 (Berlin) (premiere)
2D ? 3D ? Digital?
(3D Blu-ray + Blu-ray + Digital HD)
What were the Targeted Audiences for this movie?
Captain America: Civil War was given a 12A in the UK which means children under 12 could go and see the film with their parents. The film is classed as a four quadrant film which means it is aimed at everyone. The four quadrants include males under 25, males over 25, females under 25 and females over 25. All of these factors contributed to the films massive success.

Three weeks have gone by since that one night Sebastian taught me something. Every single day, my body ached and mourned his touch. He was still flirting and speaking with me but he refused to actually touch me. “You guys okay?” Chris came from behind me, touching my shoulder lightly.
I nod my head and sigh. “I think so.”
“You think so?” Chris brows furrow and he cocks his head to the side. “What happened?”
My face flushes. “We had a, uhm, special night and since then, nada.”
Chris smirks. “That bastard.”
I gawk, my jaw dropping. “What’s that mean?”
He scoffs. “You don’t see what he’s doing?” I shake my head. “So, since that special night, he has touched you or kissed you or anything?” Again, I shake my head. “Hmm.”
“Christopher. Speak now or forever hold your peace.” I punch his arm playfully.
He snorts. “He’s waiting for you to beg.”
“Beg? What?” My head is spinning. “I’m not a fucking dog.”
He rolls his eyes. “I told you, Sebastian is a kinky fucker.”
I groan. “I don’t understand.”
Chris exhales deeply. “Here’s what you gotta do. And if anyone, and by anyone I mean Seb, you don’t tell him it was me, okay?” I nod. “What time is his shooting scheduled to be over?”
I chew my lip. “Closer to ten tonight.”
He winks. “Perfect, enough time for me teach you.”
We sit in Chris’s trailer with Scarlet babbling on about something she saw on Twitter. “Scar, come on.”
She jolts her head back, “what?”
“(y/n), needs our help.” Chris’s grin turns into a smile. “Now, what do you know?”
I shrug. “Uh, nothing.”
Scarlet smiles. “Nothing? Like at all.”
I shake my head. “You guys are making me very paranoid.”
Chris shrugs. “It’s just with the age and everything, you’d think you’d know stuff but, honey, no judgment on this end.”
I scoff. “Well excuse me for not fucking every guy that comes my way.”
Chris’s brows shoot up. “I don’t know how to take that so I’m just going to ignore it. Now, what have you and Seb done?”
I clear my throat. “Do I have to tell you?”
“It’d be easi-” Chris began.
“No, you don’t. Whatever happens in the bedroom is private, Christopher. Jesus, stop hounding the poor girl.”
I drop my gaze, chuckling at the floor. “Jesus Christ.”
Chris snarls at Scarlet and continues. “Okay, so assuming you two have actually done anything, it’s your move next. I suspect he made the first move?”
I shrug. “Well, there was that thing outside the trailers. Does that count?”
Scarlet nods her head. “Sure, I mean, you’d never touched him like that before, right?” I shake my head. “And he got off on it?”
I snort. “The tent in his pants certainly told me so.”
Scarlet snorts. “Right, well, you made the first move. Then whatever happened the other night, that was his move. You gotta know that Sebastian is kinky, he likes the chase. So, now you just gotta try and live up to it.”
“So I’m competing with his ex-girlfriends? Jesus.” I sigh, getting ready to stand up. “I can’t fucking do that. I’ll just tell him-”
“Him what?” The front door swings open, Sebastian climbing the few steps. “Who?”
Chris clears his throat. “You, actually.”
I drop my gaze again, chewing my cheek. Sebastian steps closer to me, not close enough to touch me but I could still feel his body heat radiating. “Tell me what?”
I shake my head. “It’s no big deal, really.”
“(y/n), what’s going on?”
Chris nods at Scarlet and they stand, touching my arm slightly before excusing themselves. “We were just talking.”
“I see that.”
I sigh. “Sebastian, you won’t touch me.” Not a question, more of a statement.
He smirks. “You’ve noticed.”
“Of course I’ve fucking noticed. You give me that best orgasm of my life and then bam, nothing for almost a month.”
He steps closer, cocking his head to the side. “Is it driving you crazy?”
I nod, my breath hitched in my throat. “Kinda, yeah.”
“Good.”
“You are giving me mixed signals. Do you even want to be with me?”
His brows shot up. “I can’t believe you’re even asking me that.”
I sigh, wrapping my arms around myself. “Well, I can’t help but think that I’m not measuring up to-”
“My exes? Seriously?”
I nod. “You’ve had way more experience than me.”
“You make it sound like I’ve slept with a lot of women.”
“Maybe not a lot of women, but the few you’ve been with, you’ve been with them a lot of times.”
He rubs a hand down his tired face. “They were my girlfriends’, of course, we were together.”
“And you’re pissed we haven’t fucked yet.”
“Jesus, what is going through that little head of yours? What made you think this?”
“Because you’ve stopped touching me. We haven’t kissed in three weeks, you barely come over to my apartment anymore.” He sighs, shaking his head, smirking. “What the hell could possibly be funny right now?”
He steps closer again, this time running a finger down my arm. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“Good, because this was part of my plan.”
“What plan?”
He smirks again. “To drive you crazy, make you jealous of my exes and then get you all flustered.”
I shake my head slowly. “You’re twisted.”
“Did it work, though? Did I drive you crazy? Make you jealous? Get you all flustered?”
I nod. “You did but-”
Smirks, bringing lips to my ear. “You’ve been thinking about me? Running my tongue through your slits, licking your pretty little pussy.” I rub my thighs together and he chuckles. “I haven’t touched you because I wanted you to know how good I made you feel. How you’d long for my touch, long for my kisses.” He takes a deep breath. “Do you still want me, kitten?”
Kitten. I nod.
“Use your words.”
I clear my throat. “Yes.”
He smirks. “Good.” He kisses the shell of my ear and breaths out a reply. “Now, get on your knees.”

episode twenty two of our podcast is now available for your listening pleasure (soundcloud) (itunes) (acast) (stitcher) (tunein).
we're back with another episode, this time inspired by a little movie which recently stole our hearts, 'a star is born'. we talk about the film, how much we adore lady gaga and the strange phenomenon of becoming obsessed with bradley cooper. we also use it as an excuse to discuss biopics of musical figures, films about music, which actors make great musicians and those who should not have made the shift from screen to song.
we also discuss that harry styles gucci campaign, celebrity pigs, heist movie 'american animals', sarah waters adaptation 'little stranger', 'killing eve' & 'fleabag' (phoebe waller-bridge appreciation corner)AND steph finally caves and listens to ryan adams.
if you’re interested in reading more about what we discussed, then our ~recommended reading list~ is below, with all the links you could ever need…
it wouldn’t be an episode without a pun, and this time: i don’t know about you, but i’m feeling 22 (can you tell we’ve been waiting FOREVER to use that one?!).
on the news front: lindsay lohan tried to steal a child (i know, we were confused too).
mac miller passed away at 26; this vulture profile is great, his recent appearance on NPR’s tinydesk took us by surprise, and this piece by writer and friend rembert browne was incredibly moving.
on celebrity pig watch (this is a thing now): pete and ariana welcomed piggy smallz into their lives, while precious boy king harry styles frolicked with farm animals whilst wearing gucci. we also referenced this adam driver photoset which you can agree, is exceptional.
films: we talked about heist drama american animals, and the recent adaptation of sarah waters’ novel little stranger (ruth wilson’s mouth etc).
on the tv front: we finally got round to watching bbc america’s killing eve. this piece on the ringer is a great read, as is this piece about the brilliance of sandra oh.
apryl had also watched phoebe waller-bridge’s fleabag, now on amazon prime (an interesting piece by alison herman here)
music-wise, steph FINALLY caved and listened to one of apryl’s favourite musicians, ryan adams. the playlist she mentioned is here on spotify.
our main review this time around was bradley cooper’s directorial debut, a remake of ‘a star is born’; the ringer had a lot of great ASIB content which we read & enjoyed: this look at the hype for the film by sean fennessey, this piece on lady gaga by lindsey zoladz and rob harvilla’s look at the career of bradley cooper.
we also discussed the brilliance of dog actor, charlie cooper: the goodest boy of all.
AND we shouted out vulture staffer, hunter harris, doing the lord’s work as always. her twitter is extremely on point, plus this photo essay, and this analysis of every compliment bradley and gaga have paid one another on this very strange press tour.
all this got us thinking about some of our favourite musical biopics and we shared listener feedback too; thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts with us (especially those walk the line stans everywhere).
we also talked about musicians as actors and actors who should never ever make music. did you remember that scarlett johansson had a tom waits covers album? we wish we didn’t!
AND OF COURSE, our obsessions of the week- multiple entries this time: steph went for harry styles (obvs), tom hardy (obvs) and bradley as jackson maine (duh). apryl picked the marvelous mrs maisel’s michael zegen, jake gyllenhaal’s recent GQ france photoset AND also succumbed to the grizzled charm of bradley cooper’s country singer.

Title: It’s time.
- Are you sure we should do this? - Chris rubbed his neck with wet fingers and stroked freshly washed hair, – maybe it’s not the right time? Seb came closer and whipped the drops of water running down Chris’ cheeks. He put his hands on boyfriends face and looked into those incredible blue eyes. - Chris…- he whispered, - we both know it’s time. We’ve been together for how long, 7 years now? – Chris smiled softly, - I knew I wanted to be with you since that night we went out after filming our first scene together. And I never doubted it since. Chris blushed. He knew Seb was telling the truth. He knew he also loved Seb for years. - Yeahh, - Chris nodded. – You had me at “hello”. Sebastian smiled. He pulled Evans closer and kissed him. He knew that Chris is ready but he always needed a little encouragement. Chris pulled out his phone, typed a few words and pushed send. - You better buy some damn good food – he smirked at Seb, - RDJ is called the greatest caterer of MCU for a reason.
*** Even though Chris’ place was a big one it became crowded in a minute. People were coming in bringing liquor, Mackie was chatting with Don Cheadle on the balcony (Chris regret that he didn’t actually put the feeder there), Scarlett and Elisabeth were playing with Dodger in the kitchen and RDJ was being RDJ – offering Bettany and Jeremy snacks, pouring more champagne in Rudds glass and keeping everyone satisfied with Latin music. Ruffalo arrived a bit late but Chris was kinda happy about that –he was really nervous to reveal such big news; even though it was the right thing to do. Seb saw that in Chris’ eyes so he apologized to Ruffalo and came up to his man. - You’re not going to back down now, are you? – he put his glass on a table and grabbed Chris’ waist. – I spent a thousand bucks on that foie gras baskets, don’t even try to tell me that was only to impress Downey. Chris giggled. Seb always knew how to cheer him up. He feels so good and safe in Stans’ arms he would never give it up for the whole world. And now he is ready to let that whole wide world know. - No, I’m not gonna back down. Since I met you I only move forward, - he pulled Sebastian closer and hugged him, - because love is the only way. Seb smiled and even before he had time to respond Chris grabbed his hand and dragged him into the center of the room. Evans handed Seb a glass of champagne, got himself one and called for everybody’s attention. Scarlett pulled Mackie and Don out of the balcony, Elizabeth sat on the couch with Dodger on her lap, Jeremy shoved 5 mini-sandwiches into his mouth so he wouldn’t have to toast and Downey gathered other guys around the table. - So what’s the big news, Cap? You’ve decided to return to the Marvel bunch? Chris shook his head in laughter, – You’ll be ok without me, RDJ, we have to let newbies to rule for once – he winked at Elizabeth, - we old geezers gotta move. - Talk about yourself! – shouted Renner with full mouth, - I’m still in my best shape. - No doubt, Robin Hood, - Mackie giggled, - keeping your fur clean is not that exhausting* /reference to Disney cartoon where robin hood is a fox/ - Watch it, Birdman! – Jeremy threw Dodgers rubber ball at Mackie – I’ve warned you! - Guys guys guys, - Chris interrupted, - there’s something I wanna say. He looked at Seb. Stan nodded. Chris knew their friends will support them, like they did every time, but confessing something this personal was too overwhelming. - I know you guys for years, - he started. – You’ve always been supportive and kind to me, helping me through my way. And as I said we sometimes need to move on. Downey raised his eyebrow. Everyone looked around confused and looked like even Chris didn’t know where he was going. - I’m glad I worked with Marvel but my contract made me keep some things in secret. – he started to pace nervously. – I had this… - he took a deep breath, - project I’m working on for 7 years and I couldn’t tell you about it. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me, - he softly glanced at Sebastian – for sure. I’ve never been this happy in my entire life and even though I had to hide it - it changed my life. Seb couldn’t hide the biggest smile on his face. He knew Chris is not that good at confessing but comparing him to a project was a bit odd even for Evans. But Seb liked it. - I always struggled with finding my place in this world but this…project…showed me what really matters in life. And since it started I knew I’ll always belong somewhere. To somebody… - he whispered. - So what’s that, some sort of a screenplay? – asked Bettany. - You want to direct another movie? – added Rudd. - Or shave that porn stache?? – jokingly shouted Mackie. - No, that something more personal, - Chris answered. - Come one tell us, honey! – supported him Scarlett. – What’s that thing that made you so happy? Chris breathed in. He couldn’t keep it inside anymore and just as he was about to burst he felt someone touching hid hand. He looked up and saw the most beautiful man holding his hand and not being afraid to show that to entire world to see. His man. - Me. Stated Seb proudly. If he was sure about something in his life it was that his boyfriend needed his help right there. Chris never felt so nervous and relieved at the same time. His friends were looking at him in shock but he didn’t even care – Sebastian was holding his hand in front of everyone and that’s the only thing that really mattered. It always been. - When did this happen??! – Mackie was the one to break the silence but his voice was so high Chris would never have guessed it was Anthony. – You live like 2500 miles away from each other! - Love finds a way, Ant, - Bettany stated with smile on his face. – I live in London and that didn’t stop you from kissing my wife. Everybody laughed. - You asked me to do it! So don’t give me hard time! – Mackie smiled, - But let’s get back to business! – he pointed at Chris and Seb holding hands. – How I’m gonna be without my wingmen? - You’re married, Mackie! – pointed out Elizabeth. - But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a chance with Black Widow! – he winked at Scarlett erotically. - You wish, - she giggled while sipping on champagne – I’ve got ornithophobia. Mackie burst in laughter. Downey raised his glass and toasted - To a happy couple! Everyone raised their glasses. - So you’re…okay with this? – Chris asked carefully. -Evans, - RDJ came closer and put his hand on Cap’s shoulder, - the best thing for us is to see you happy, and to tell you the truth you’re only happy when you’re next to this guy – he nodded at Seb, - so don’t lose it. He’s a keeper. – he winked. Chris blushed. The crowd was cheering and congratulating them and he never thought that it would be so easy. No judging, no starring looks, just love and support. He always thought marvel knew how to cast but now he was sure. Sebastian pulled him closer and wrapped his hands over Chris’s waist. Stan kissed him softly and leaned over his ear: - See? They are so happy for us. We told everything we had to. - Not everything, - Chris shacked his head and looked Seb in the eyes. - I love you, - he whispered. Seb smiled. - I love too, Evans. But you don’t have to whisper next time. We’re out already. Chris tickled his man. - Punk. - Jerk. *** It was 3:30 on the clock and last guests were making their way home. Dodger was already sleeping in the chair while Chris and Seb were kicking Mackie out of the apartment. - 7 years, huh? – smiled Anthony, - who knew #givecaptainamericaaboyfriend will work out like that? All three laughed. - The power of Twitter is underrated, - giggled Seb. – Bye, Mack-attack, see you tomorrow. - Bye Sexy Seabass. Guys hugged and Seb went to the bedroom. - By the way, - lowered his voice Chris, - thanks for starting that hashtag.
Anthony smiled. Who knew his little observation would turn him into a matchmaker.

Just a few things to tie up - like Johansson’s marriage, how they’re getting back, and what will happen to the tesseract.
A moment later Musa was called away again by a group of astrophysicists, who were hoping she could tell them about her home system. Steve wasn’t alone for long, though – the next person to approach him was Natasha. She was now dressed in a pair of jeggings and a shirt with a cartoon bone on it and the words I Found This Humerus. Next to her was Scarlett Johansson, wearing a blouse and skirt. Both had washed up and combed their hair, and they looked nearly identical, but Steve immediately recognized which was which. The two walked differently, Johansson gliding along like a glamour goddess, while Natasha moved with a determined stride that spelled trouble for anybody in her way.
“How’d your checkup go?” Nat asked.
“Nothing but bruises,” Steve assured her. “If I cracked any bones it was so minor they’ve already knit.” The bruises would be gone by this time tomorrow.
She smiled. “Good to be back?”
“Yeah,” he agreed. “And possibly just a little more appreciative of how tough I am.”
“Oh, really?” Nat smirked. “Does that mean you’re going to start using a parachute?”
“I wouldn’t go that far.”
Nat laughed. “I’m going to Malibu with Scarlett,” she said. “We need to patch things up with her husband and daughter, and it’ll be easier to explain if I’m with her.”
That felt like something that had happened weeks ago, and Steve had almost forgotten about it. Now he groaned. It was true, they should do something about that, but whatever it was they ended up doing would be very, very unpleasant. “Do you want me to come with you?” he asked, praying that the answer would be no.
“Probably not a good idea,” said Johansson. “Romain’s had a bug up his ass about Chris for a while now, and I don’t think he’d want to see your face.”
Steve tried not to show how relieved he was. “Got it,” he said. “Text when you arrive, okay?”
“Yes, Mom,” said Nat. “Wouldn’t want you to worry about me.” She leaned down and gave him a kiss on the cheek goodbye.
Once she was gone, Steve worried he’d be alone again – but it was only a minute or so after Natasha left when Evans came up to him. He had a few bandages and stitches, but he, too, had washed and shaved and changed his clothes. With no beard, wearing jeans and a dark blue t-shirt which, thanks to somebody’s sense of humour, had the image of the shield on the front, he looked so much like Steve as Captain America that it was downright eerie. He came and stood awkwardly facing Steve, hands in his pockets, as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t figure out how to word it.
“How are you doing?” Steve asked, deciding to take pity and give him an opening.
“Okay,” Evans replied carefully. “That was a hell of a thing but I… I’ll get over it.”
Steve had heard that phrase before, from people who would very definitely not get over it. Far too often, he’d been the one speaking it, himself. “You sure?”
“Yeah,” said Evans. He sat down on the bench next to Steve. “My parents are coming to pick me up. I told them guys, I’m thirty-five, I can buy my own plane ticket, but Mom wouldn’t hear about it. She actually said, I won’t hear about it, like little old ladies do in cartoons.” He chuckled.
Steve smiled back. He was glad he hadn’t called Evans’ parents when he’d been tempted to, but lord, he missed having that kind of loving, unconditional support. It would have been wonderful to steal just a drop of it, even knowing it was not rightfully his. Loki really had meant what he’d said – this world was full of everything Steve had ever wanted. It was just that to get it, Steve would have had to compromise everything he’d ever wanted to be.
“Sorry for freezing up when Musa grabbed me,” Chris added. “I, um… I have some… I’m good with a script, but actually talking to real people is hard for me sometimes. I almost turned down playing the role – playing you, I mean. I wasn’t sure I wanted to be…”
“To be that kind of movie star,” Steve finished for him. “Bob told me.”
“Yeah.” Chris nodded.
“What changed your mind?” asked Steve. Bob had offered an explanation, but he wanted to hear it from Chris Evans himself.
“Well… Captain America,” said Chris, with a shrug and a cockeyed smile. “You’re everybody’s hero. You’re… you’re everything I was raised to believe in. It sounds corny, but all that freedom, equality, and justice stuff, you embody that and you make it look cool. When I post about politics on my twitter I get comments from people who say things like here we see Chris Evans actually being Steve Rogers and it always makes me smile. I’m proud to stand for that, even if the fame part is kind of terrifying.”
“The fame part is terrifying,” Steve agreed. “At least you got warned about it. When I volunteered for the project nobody told me I was going to be a celebrity. Then they dragged me off on that tour with the chorus girls and the posters…” he shook his head. “And I end up standing there…”
“Wondering how the hell this happened,” Chris grinned. “That’s what I figured you were thinking. Reading the lines off the back of the shield was my favourite joke in the movie. Anyway.” He sat up a little straighter. “My point, which I’m getting to in a roundabout kind of way, is that it’s an honour to meet you in person, even if this is really, really weird.” He held out a hand.
“Thanks,” said Steve, giving him the handshake. He had to agree – it was weird, but he also felt a sense of kinship with this man. Not just because of what they’d just been through together, but because he realized that Chris Evans must have spent more time thinking about Steve, and trying to understand him, than anybody else he’d ever met. Which left one rather important question. “Bob told me about something you said in an interview…” he began.
“Oh, no,” groaned Chris. “This is about the teams thing, isn’t it?”
“Yeah,” Steve said.
Chris spread his hands. “Well, for one thing, I never thought I’d be having this conversation. I thought it was all hypothetical. And I was talking about our world, if there were superheroes here. Our world isn’t run by people who thought nuking New York or approving Project Insight was a good idea. I mean, sometimes they’re not much better, but they’re not that bad. I just feel like real superheroes would have to accept limitations and be responsible when they hurt people. Even if it wasn’t on purpose.”
Steve thought about the pirates… they weren’t nice people, but nor had they asked to get into a fight with the Chi’Tauri. He wondered how many had died, and supposed he would never know.
“Well, thanks for not getting me killed this week,” Steve said. “I’m a rotten actor.”
“Same,” Chris agreed. “I’m the opposite – a good actor, a rotten hero. Better for you to live your life and me mine, even if yours does sound way cooler.”
Now there was a thought… would Chris Evans find the details of Steve Rogers’ life as tempting as Steve had found his? He decided not to ask, partly because that would involve admitting how tempted he’d been to call Evans’ parents, but mostly because the whole subject was better left alone.
NASA offered them all dinner in the Space Center cafeteria, which was fortunately not one of the buildings that would have to be torn down from the damage. Natasha and Scarlett had already gone to Malibu, and Scarlett had texted Chris Evans to let him know they would be staying overnight. Hemsworth also turned down the meal. He hugged everybody, and then left to catch a flight back to his home in Australia. Most of the other actors who’d come in for the charade were already gone, but Hayley Atwell hung around, as did Bob Downey. At dinner they all sat together and listened to Hayley tell stories about the props – and people – she’d accidentally broken while filming the Agent Carter TV series.
“I need to watch some of that before I go,” said Steve. He would probably regret it… but he would regret it more if he didn’t.
“I’ll get you some DVDs,” Hayley promised. “In fact, take them back with you and show them to Sharon. I can get confirmation from Emily if you like, but for my own part I’m sure she would want to see them.”
Steve could bet she would. “That would be great.”
“That gives me an idea…” Bob began, but before he could explain what it was, the conversation was interrupted as Thor and Steve moved aside to make room for Donny Glover and Kevin Farinas, who had come to join them. Kevin was proudly holding a tablet and a stack of binders, which she dropped on the table in front of her.
“Good news!” she declared.
“Good news? For us?” asked Steve.
“Careful there,” said Bob. “He’s an old man. Too much excitement might give him a heart attack.” He winked at Steve, looking uncannily like Stark in that moment.
Kevin opened the top binder in the stack and passed around some photographs. “I’ve been looking at the insides of your spaceship,” she said, “and it looks like their actual device for directing a wormhole runs on very similar principles to my hypothetical one. Here’s the switches.” She reached across the table to indicate a particular picture, which Hayley happened to be holding at the moment. “They’re hidden under the console, probably so the people on board couldn’t mess with them.”
Hayley passed the picture to Steve, and he saw two rows of twelve symbols, one in pink and one in blue. The symbols themselves were indecipherable to Steve, just messes of intersecting lines. “What do these mean?” he asked.
“No idea,” said Kevin. “They’ve called in some cryptography people, but figuring out will probably take longer than it would take to build a new one.”
“How is that good news?” asked Bob.
“I’m getting there,” Kevin informed him. “Now, as you can see, there are two lines – two ends to the wormhole. The pink one tells you where you’re starting from, the blue one tells you where you’re going. If I understand this properly, the ones on the right refer to the specific destination universe, and the ones on the left are your exit point within that universe. I have no idea how to program it. The left ones must be a space-time coordinate system of some sort, but I don’t know what their reference point is, while the ones on the right must refer to properties of the target universe, whatever those are.”
“I’m still not seeing the good news,” said Steve.
“Well, isn’t it obvious?” asked Kevin. “Look, they’ve got this thing set up to take them between a chosen point in this universe and their home port in yours. But if you can change the spatial destination coordinates for your universe to match the ones you leave from in ours, then when you activate it you’ll transfer to the other universe exactly where you left from ours with no programming or linguistic knowledge required!”
That did make sense. “So we appear over Houston in our universe… and we can fly right out over the Atlantic back to Wakanda,” said Steve. That would have the bonus that the Leviathan would end up in hands Steve trusted. He wouldn’t have wanted any other country on Earth trying to reverse-engineer any more Chi’Tauri technology, even the United States. Wakanda, however, would either destroy it or do good with it, whichever T’Challa decided was best. “Perfect. Can you have it ready by the time Natasha gets back?”
“Definitely,” said Kevin. “It seems to remember where it left from, too, so if it doesn’t work the way I think, you can just come back here and we’ll give it some more study.” She picked up her binders again, beaming. “You know, it sucks that we can’t keep that tesseract things. With that kind of energy we could explore the whole solar system and then head for Alpha Centauri.”
Steve blinked.
“Yeah, sucks,” Donny agreed cheerfully. “I’d ask to go with you guys, but my alternate in the Marvel Universe is a guy who finds Spider-Man hanging out in dumpsters, so nah. But!” he held up a finger. “Kevin, can you get me into the Star Wars universe?”
They were joking around, so Steve made himself smile as if he were enjoying the conversation. But he couldn’t stop thinking about what Kevin had just said.
