Ten things the Twilight animated series can do better than the original movies (if they care enough to, please add all your own points to this as I will, too.) :

1. Include ALL of the book scenes, without having to change them to make them easier to film (for obvious reasons, since it’ll be animated they shouldn’t have much issue there.)

2. Their daughter, Remoulade can actually look like the book described her (or better or worse) and not the CGI monstrosity we got twelve years ago.

3. Make all the characters fit their book looks to complete accuracy. Alice was 4’10 and the movies made her 5’5. They let Edward have brown hair when he’s a ginger. Jacob and the wolf pack had better be above 6’5! I want 23 year old Carlisle and 26 year old Esme playing parents to like three legal adults and two 17 year olds.

4. The parentification of Bella Swan, by both of her parents, mustn’t be ignored. Bella was making sure the bills were getting paid by the time she was 10 cause her mom was ‘too flighty and distracted’ to do things like that consistently, she also learned to cook and clean early on too because her mom’s cooking was inedible and she’d improperly mix cleaning solutions dangerously. She got a job at 14 and took care of the groceries and any other issue necessary on top of being in AP classes in school. By the time she moved in with Charlie, she was basically more of a parent than he was. He did the bare minimum to ensure her car’s safety by installing snow chains on her tires without telling her and she cried because she wasn’t used to being taken care of.

5. How she cries when she’s angry is peak girlhood and I hate that they got rid of that in the movies. She stomped her feet bro, like c’mon she was so angry and anxious and annoyed all the time and they only focused on her angst.

6. Integrate aspects of Midnight Sun too, maybe incorporate them both so we can get a more full story. Twilight on its own was a bit of a snooze fest compared to Midnight Sun. We’re gonna pretend that Edward hunting and eating Esme’s abusive ex-husband isn’t hot af?

7. Add in more character’s back stories. Alice’s abusive father and stepmother, Emmett’s gambling and womanizing as a human in Tennessee, etc.

8. Unfortunately we need to make it clear that Charlie’s not winning any father of the year awards here either. He congratulated Jacob after forcing a kiss on her and joked about Jacob pressing assault charges on her after she breaks her hand punching him away.

9. Maybe ask why the Cullens…’need’ so desperately to come back to Forks every couple of years? Like they’re multi-billionaires, they’re immortal and there are plenty of gloomy, cloudy places they could live in semi-permanently. Why Forks when they know the Quileutte tribe knows what they are and they know it makes them so uncomfortable? It just seems unnecessary.

10. More of Edward reading Mike Newton’s inner-monologue. I know it would depend on whose perspective we get but I think the idea is hilarious.

Let's be honest they'd be amazing parents and they'd love you dearly

Rosalie would be ecstatic and grateful but most definitely fiercely protective of you

Emmett would be delighted to have a daughter especially with Rosalie

They found you at their doorstep quite literally

They thought it was a miracle and blessing to have found you

You were freezing when they found you so they wrapped some warm blankets around you huddled you close

Edward as well as Jasper were...reluctant but eventually let up after seeing you for the first time

As I said before she would be fiercely protective of you so all she wanted to do was wrap you in bubble wrap and keep you from harms way but she eventually let up when Emmett talked to her

Emmett was protective as well especially if he found out you liked anyone but they both let it go since they understood you needed to live your life and they couldn't protective you from everything even if they wished they could

But let's be honest the rest of the Cullens would be protective as well but never as much as Rosalie or Emmett

They all loved you dearly and were eternally grateful to have you in their lives

Well, we all know about these two stunning vampires and their literal perfect relationship with one another.

But what if there was another?

You. Obviously.

Alice saw you coming at first, the whole ideal of having a second mate was confusing to everyone. It was unheard of and, yet, it happened.

Some of the Cullens questioned it, but Alice and Jasper were just happy they could share their love to another person.

Granted, Jasper was worried about having a human mate. He was afraid that he’d hurt you, of course.

When you first came to Forks, when he first saw you at school, it took literally every fibre in his body, every humane ideal and moral he still had to not pounce at your neck.

Alice was able to see it just in time, and Edward and Emmett were able to get him out of school just in time.

Safe to say, you had heard of the two, but it took just over two weeks before you were even able to see them.

You’d heard of them because, well, who hadn’t heard of every single one of the Cullens?

You heard of how some (all) of the students at Forks viewed the Cullens, they were all stunning, but no one ever really knew them.

You were intrigued, obviously.

You’d heard of Alice and Jasper, but you’d never see them at school until almost a month. How odd.

You’d first met Alice, she was in one of your classes - English.

You’d been seated in the empty chair next to hers when she was absent at school, much to your dismay because you didn’t have anyone to sit with and you couldn’t catch up quick enough.

Thankfully, however, when Alice finally was present at school, she offered to lend you some of her notes so you could catch up on the school’s specific curriculum.

It had sparked up conversation, that’s for sure.

Even if it was only about the work, she was enjoying every second of it and couldn’t wait until the time you had a real conversation - outside of the topic of schoolwork.

Which was why, when you forgot to bring her detailed notes (and I mean detailed) to school one day, she jumped at the chance to talk to you again.

You’d apologised over and over, feeling so incredibly guilty over fact that you forgot her notes at home. And she remained unbothered because she never really needed those notes, though you didn't know that

And Alice being the good conversationalist she is, she was able to drag out conversations and turn them into where she got to learn more about you.

Quick and easy friends, you two became close in no time! (Which was exactly what she saw)

Meeting Jasper was much more harder.

You were in one of his classes, but he was no where near you. In fact, you’d been on the other side of the classroom.

It was both a blessing and a curse.

He was thankful that he didn’t have to risk being near you since he was already struggling with him, but he knew about all the fun times you and Alice were having and he was missing out!

Of course, it took a little longer for you to even realise he was in your class. He wasn't in for your first two weeks of school.

It not like you didn't realise he wasn't in your class, it was that the name didn't register in your name when the teacher would do the register at the beginning of every class.

You'd heard the name 'Jasper' and, therefore, the lack of the response. So, naturally, you didn't pay any attention to it. He wasn't in, you didn't know him and he was on the other side of the classroom.

However, when you did end up meeting Jasper, it was only because you needed to talk to Alice.

You didn't know many other people in your class, well, there wasn't many people that you enjoyed the company of - especially in comparison to Alice's.

You didn't enjoy the amount of attention that was brought to you being the new student in Forks, and you didn't like most of the people in the school, only because they were only interested in befriending you because all the students in Forks clearly grew up with each other.

Regardless, you needed help on an English assignment that you didn't understand and you saw that Alice understood (since you saw she was able to half complete it after a few days of it being set)

So, naturally, you went over and asked for help. The assignment was too confusing to wrap your head around, and you'd only been in that class for a little while and it was definitely not long enough to understand your teacher's rambles.

Alice was happy to help, obviously (who could have seen that happening her definitely)

Because she was standing beside Jasper when you came over, she invited you over to her house so that three of you could work on the homework you were given.

You had anxiously agreed, without a doubt overthinking how to act when at their house because you hadn't been over to someone else's house in years. What if there was some unspoken rule that you didn't know about?

Of course, going over their house was no problem at all!

What did you have to worry about? A room full of vampires? Haha, don't be absurd!

Anyway, the three of you head up to a room and got on with your school work.

Alice helped you with your English homework and sometimes played stupid so that Jasper could get involved as well, since - of course - you were his second mate as well.

It was safe to say that after that day, the three of you got pretty close. You started to walk to History with Jasper, while also walking to English with Alice.

Although Jasper's 'twin' sister didn't like you very much, for no reason that you knew of, you got on pretty well with the rest of Alice's and Jasper's foster family (aside from Edward, who would be in his extra emo phase without having Bella to meet)

"i got it," seth cooed as he grabbed the peanut butter on the top shelf that you were - quite frankly - struggling to reach.

"thank you!" you beamed, taking the jar from him to place in the cart and stepping up on your tip-toes to press a quick kiss to his lips.

seth smiled, pulling you back into his chest for a deeper kiss. "seth!" you squealed, causing him to chuckle against your lips.

"sorry pretty girl," he teased, smiling down at you as he gave your hips a squeeze, "can't help myself sometimes."

you rolled your eyes, a smile tugging at the corner of your lips before turning back around to push the cart. seth rested his hands on either side of yours, helping you push the cart from behind.

"so what's left on our list?" he asked after a moment, allowing you to unfold the crumpled-up piece of paper that was your grocery list.

you let out a soft sigh, analyzing it for a moment to see what you missed, "i think we just need peaches."

seth hummed, "peaches?" he asked softly, helping guide you over to the produce section.

you nodded, "i like having them in the apartment," you explained before adding, "they're good midnight snack."

seth chuckled softly at that one, "you're a good midnight snack." he teased, pressing a soft kiss to the crook of your neck.

you giggled, "you need to get it together clearwater," you teased back, "what if we see someone we know!"

you felt his lips curl into a smile against your neck, "then they'd also see how good you're looking right now." he explained, pressing another soft kiss behind your ear.

"you are way too horny to be grocery shopping right now." you responded, rolling your eyes teasingly.

"my point exactly. let's get your peaches and go home." seth pressed another kiss to the crown of your head before tossing the bag of peaches into the cart.

you gasped dramatically at that, "don't throw them! they're gonna be messed up if you do that!" you gigled again, turning around and playfully smacking his bicep.

"babe i'm gonna be messed up if we don't get home in the next 5 minutes." he explained exasperatedly, sliding his hands down to your hips so he could turn you back around and guide you to the checkout lanes.

you giggled, "you're so dramatic you know that?" you asked rhetorically, turning over your shoulder to look up at him as you two waited in line.

"i am most definitely not being dramatic right now." he explained, subtly pressing his hips to yours to show you what he meant.

you rolled your eyes, cheeks heating up to a bright pink, "okay okay we just need to check out and then we can go home." you giggled, as he smiled victoriously.

sure enough, as soon as the two of you got home you quickly figured out that he was not, in fact, being dramatic about how desperate he was for you.

Being alive for just over 400 years tends to give one a good perspective on life and the bigger picture, and Carlisle sure has a pretty good idea of how all things pan out. So you're not interested in him? That's fine, Carlisle can wait for as long as you need to change your mind.

In the meantime, Carlisle will continue to maintain your friendship and continue to show just how hard he's worked to become the kind caring father figure he is. He knows you'll fall for him, eventually.

Esme Cullen

Obviously, she's not going to stop caring about you just because you don't return her feelings. But she might switch up how she shows her affection.

Rather than flirty winks and suspiciously candle-lit wine tastings, she'll back up to more traditionally motherly affections. Making sure you're eating right, baking cookies, etc. And of course, giving you homemade soup when you're sick is still one of her favourite things to do, no need to stop now.

Edward Cullen

Of course, you're not interested, how could anyone love a monster like him? Who did he think he was, thinking he was worthy of your love? Or so his inner monologue goes.

But it's really not that dramatic, it almost never is, Edward just sprung his crush on you suddenly and it caught you off guard. It was largely the excessively long preamble about how he was an irredeemable murderer that put you off first, but of course, he won't realise that until considerably later.

Rosalie Hale

She's a little relieved actually. All her mortal and immortal life, Rosalie has been aggressively pursued by people she wasn't particularly interested in, so the fact that she can crush on someone who isn't really that interested is a wonderful change of pace.

For the first time ever, Rosalie has butterflies in her stomach, she fumbles with her words when she speaks to you, and she feels like a silly, mortal teenage girl again, begging her mother to let her go to the dance just so she can sneak away to catch a glimpse of someone just like you.

Emmett Cullen

You and Emmett had been good friends for a while so when he casually drops a blissful "We should get married" into the conversation, you initially choke on your drink in laughter.

Emmett's a little heartbroken that you'd laugh at something like that, considering that he was being 100% serious. But since you've known him, the both of you have been constantly cracking up jokes, trying to get on each other's nerves, so no wonder you thought this was another one of his pranks. He decides to take this reaction as a blessing, you have no idea he's actually into you, now he knows he has to work out a different way to confess his feelings for you.

Alice Cullen

She's a little confused obviously, having multiple visions of the two of you in a romantic relationship kind of gave her the impression that it might've been going to come true, but your disinterest says something else altogether.

But the worst part is that those damn visions of you and her together keep coming back, taunting her, luring her in deeper to despair with the thoughts of what might be. It's all getting so intense, so she decides to skip town for a bit, see if that changes anything, or at least helps her clear her head.

Jasper Hale

Oh well, so you're not interested in a romantic relationship, so what? Doesn't mean you can't still be friends. Doesn't mean he can't be the charming Southern gentleman he is. Rosalie had traveled to a hospital in a neighboring town to volunteer in the maternity ward. Her motivation wasn't solely selfless; she yearned to be in the presence of infants. Rosalie adored babies for their small size and pure innocence. Occasionally, she'd volunteer in the pediatrics ward, where the sick children often mistook her for a princess due to her beauty. However, on this day, her heart was set on spending time with the babies. It was her favorite pastime, second only to being with Emmett. She would occasionally downplay her attachment when her family questioned her about her frequent visits to the hospital.

As Rosalie left the hospital, an overwhelming urge to cry overcame her, though no tears escaped her eyes. Instead, her venom-filled eyes burned, but she didn't shed a tear. A pang of jealousy gripped her as she thought about how many parents took their children for granted, complaining about the demanding baby and toddler years. Her thoughts drifted to Renesmee, whom she had practically raised during her early, albeit brief, years. However, Rosalie could never be Renesmee's mother, as the girl knew Bella as her mother, despite their strained relationship. Rosalie had even harbored a shameful hope during Renesmee's birth that Bella wouldn't survive, leaving Renesmee to be solely Rosalie's and Emmett's daughter. Yet, fate had different plans, and Rosalie remained without a baby.

Suddenly, a loud cry from an infant in a nearby car disrupted her thoughts. Rosalie couldn't hear the sounds of parents or a running car engine, and the freezing weather made her worry. She exited her car and began searching for the source of the crying, only to discover an infant version of yourself inside a locked car. Your parents were absent, and you were clad only in a thin onesie. Through the window, Rosalie detected the odor of an unchanged diaper.

Rosalie knew she should call the hospital to report the situation, but she feared you would end up back with your neglectful parents. Thoughts of Emmett being a great father crossed her mind; he hadn't been overly involved with Renesmee, except for playtime, but you could be different as their own.

With a swift motion, Rosalie broke into the car, thankful that the alarm didn't sound, given the car's poor condition. She rented a hotel room with you tucked away in her jacket before calling Emmett and sharing her surprise. When he arrived, expecting something else entirely, Rosalie had you dressed in a fresh diaper and cozy footie pajamas. You were notably small and slender, even for a human infant.

Emmett asked, "Babe, what is this?" His tone was a mix of confusion and amusement.

"Our baby," Rosalie declared as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, her eyes fixed on you without interruption. "We don't have a baby," Emmett attempted to argue. He typically went along with what Rosalie said, as she was almost always right, but occasionally he voiced his dissent.

Rosalie's gaze shifted to Emmett. He didn't need to read her mind to grasp that she needed you to be theirs. Without further argument, he sat beside her to get a better look at you. "This is definitely one sweet baby," Emmett observed, running a cold finger down your cheek.

Emmett expressed his concern, "Carlisle will be furious. He might make you return the baby." Rosalie acknowledged this and understood she would face objections from Edward, Carlisle, and possibly even Alice and Jasper. However, she couldn't help but feel it was unfair that Edward could have his human and endanger the family, and then having his daughter, whom he barely appreciated, that also put the family at risk.

"We'll deal with that when the time comes. For now, I want us to be a family: a mommy, a daddy, and a sweet little baby," Rosalie's face lit up when she referred to you. Emmett loved to see his wife so joyful, so he indulged her, understanding why she was so enamored with you.

A few months passed, and you were introduced to the Cullen clan. After some persuasion, Carlisle allowed Rosalie to keep you. The presence of a human infant injected new life into the Cullen household. Rosalie and Emmett spent the most time with you and Rosalie became upset if anyone besides Esme tried to hold you. Edward and Jasper's unique abilities helped discern your needs quickly, even though you couldn't communicate them directly. Jasper secretly enjoyed caring for you without interference from your parents and loved the way Alice dressed you like a doll. Edward and Bella, engrossed in their own activities, didn't show much interest in you. Renesmee, on the other hand, enjoyed having you around, as you allowed her to partake in kid activities she had missed out on. Carlisle and Esme were the perfect grandparents, but nothing could compare to your parents. Emmett and Rosalie adored you. Rosalie was extremely protective and insisted on homeschooling, but she always wanted what was best for you in her mind. You were their angel, and they were determined to protect you from harm.

I read the short second life of Bree tanner for the first time people weren't lying when they said it was darker and sadder. By the end of the book I did feel kinda bad for her especially because of how Jane talked to her, she was cold, indifferent etc, etc. And the fact that she wanted information but tortured her which was unnecessary because she was gonna tell her. And then Felix killed her. 😭 When I read Eclipse for the first time that scene almost made me cry I felt so disturbed and shocked. I'm very interested to see what will happen to freaky Fred. I think he's intriguing and his gift seems really interesting! But overall I felt bad for her since she gradually was figuring everything out and it was too late to back away by the time the Volturi came. I honestly think she would have been a good addition to the Cullen family and I think Stephanie Meyers really missed out on that one. I give this book between a 3-4 stars.

So one thing that lives rent free in my head from The Twilight Illustrated Guide and is the wild detail about vampires: they have their own unique scent. Yup, all thanks to their venom. It’s described as a sweet, almost hypnotic aroma that lures in humans (and even other vampires). Think of it like their personal “vampire essence” leaking out, and the venom is what makes that smell so irresistible. 🤯

But here's the kicker: this scent isn’t just a physical thing. It's basically a psychological weapon. 😈 Edward, in particular, uses his intoxicating scent to mess with Bella’s head, making her trust him more and fear him less. And yeah, he's fully aware of what he's doing. His scent acts like this weird form of conditioning, easing her into this false sense of security. So even though vampires are dangerous predators, Bella’s starting to see them as... not so bad. Her attraction to Edward, partly because of his scent, makes it harder for her to really see what he is. 🤷‍♀️

And get this: every vampire has their own scent. Some might smell sweet like honey 🍯, while others could be more intoxicating. It all depends on the human’s chemistry with them, which is kinda mind-blowing. 😳

Vampires’ heightened senses also make their scent super powerful, which is why it’s so addictive to humans. Edward, for example, totally messes with people in Forks (like the poor high school secretary 😬), getting them to do whatever he wants without even trying.

Now, I know they don’t sweat, but... we do know they can produce semen. 👀 Hello, creepy half-human, half-vampire hybrid babies. But anyway, back to the scent. It’s mostly concentrated in their breath, which makes it extra addictive for humans. 😵

But here’s where it gets REALLY interesting: the scents of vampires and werewolves? Polar opposites. Vampires’ scents are like this irresistible, addictive force, while werewolves? They describe the scent of vampires as sickly sweet or like rotten flesh 🤢, and it’s the same for vampires—they can’t stand werewolf scents either. It’s like their chemistry is designed to keep them at odds, which only makes their rivalry more intense.

Oh, and just because vampires don’t sweat doesn’t mean they’re always fresh and shiny. 😆 Remember in New Moon when Edward was living in that rundown, rat-infested mess? His clothes were literally disgusting. And when they go hunting, they sometimes end up covered in blood (which, like, doesn’t scream "fresh," right?). So yeah, even though they don’t sweat, they still have to clean up sometimes. Gotta look presentable, right? Even if that’s not their top priority. 😅

So first off, I think thst you being Bella's older sister and living with Charlie kinda changes the story a bit. First off there's something special about you, but you living with humans all your life none notices.

You were about two when your parents devorced so when it came to living situations you stayed with your father.

You met the Cullens before Bella even showed up. Like everyone else at Forks High to took notice to the family. You weren't upsets with figuring out their background like everyone else though.

Your first day meeting Jasper was his first day in your history class. The only empty seat left was next to you.

He hesitated as he sat down next you. When he did he tensed up and turned his nose away. You glared at him wanting to know what his problem was. When the bell rang he was out in a flash.

The next few days he didn't show up. When he did he remained silent but didn't turn his nose like you stunk.

Instead of turning his nose away he would silently look at you then turn away before he would get cought. This went on through out the class. You would look at him then look away before he noticed.

The first words you actually exchange words till you had to work on a history project together.

“your name is y/n Swan right?” he asked. You nodded immediately falling for his southern accent. “yeah, and your Jasper”

He smiled slightly. “sorry for being so rued last week” you shrugged. “not a big deal, we all have bad days”

You guys continued to talk and he quickly got comfortable talking to you. He started to fall for everything about you. He knew you were his mate but he started finding small and big details about you that made him enternally thankful it was you.

Jasper took another aproch than his dear brother when it came to relationships. He 'corted' you by becoming friends with you first, you actually became best friends. As your relationship grew you became close to his siblings too, especially rose.

Your first date was the movies and suprisenly you guys just sat there for two hours laughing at the gore in the horror movie you picked.

After your first date he confessed to being a vampire and to his reilef you didn't freak out. He was so scared that you would leave him but he didn't want to lie to you.

“I understand if your scared... But I didn't want to start our relationship with a lie”

I immediately wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tight. “I don't care, I still want to be with you”

You started officially dating about a month before Bella showed up.

You don't get along with Bella or your mother, so let's just say you weren't thrilled when you found out she was moving to forks.

During the time she started to settle in at home with you and Charlie you spent more time with Jasper and his family. You told Jasper that you two never got along and the hate and neglect your mother caused you.

The first time Bella saw Jasper is when he was picking you up for school. She kept pushing on who he was but you bairly awnsered. “he's my boyfriend, bella”

Dispite Bella and Edward dealing with their problems you and Jasper have a very strong relationship.

You two may not have much in common but that doesn't mean you two don't show interest in each other's Passions.

Your a movie nerd so he'll happily watch any movie with you. He's a history buff and he's was around for most of it so if he wants to talk about something you'll always there to listen.

Speaking of history, it didn't take long for him to open up about him training new borns and Maria using him.

He's very gentle with you at first, he would hate himself if he ever hurt you, but later on in the relationship he's more confident and isn't afraid to touch you as much.

Speaking of which, his kisses are always full of passion and love. His favorite place to kiss you is on your forehead beacuse of how much taller he is than you.

He's always holding your hand. He always needs to be touching you and needs to be close to you. Emmett teases him for being Clingy but it's mostly just an anxiety thing, especially if he's around Humans he needs to ground himself by holding your hand or his arms around you.

If your wondering, Charlie loves him. At first he thought Jasper was weird(much like Edward) but he appreciated how kind and and well mannered he was. He knew he could trust Jasper with you.

Through your relationship with Jasper you had also gained a best friend through Rosalie and Emmett.

Rosalie loved you immediately and took you under her wing. Alice is a loyal friend but your not thst close.

Carlisle and Esme are like your second parents and they love you like your part of the family.

During the events of New Moon Jasper refused to break your heart. He knew that was Edward's plan with Bella, but he's not Edward. Yes they did move but you two stayed in contact. He would call you every day and you'll see each other on weekends.

He came to your graduation during the time the whole family moved then proposed to you a few months later.

Your wedding was unfortunately put on hold due to the who new-born army. It didn't bother you, you understood under the circumstances but Jasper was furious with not only Bella but Edward too. It wasn't their fault, he knew that, but then again Bella made it all about her and ignored the fact the vampires were after you too.

During the battle you were hurt causing Jasper to turn you. He didn't want to and he blamed himself for fighting instead of protecting you.

You loved being a vampire and never once blamed him. And it's a good thing he had experience with New-borns beacuse he was with you every step of the way during your transition.

You had your wedding about four months before Edward and Bella's. You went to Memphis for your honeymoon and stayed out till it was time to go home for the other wedding.

Oh I forgot to mention, Bree survived and since you were now an adult you and Jasper adopted her as your own. Your amazing parents and you three make an adorable family.

Later on in life and when everything was peaceful, no one dying or fighting, you two adpot two twins. They were both infants and needed loving parents.

Jasper is very loving husband and even if being a vampire is hard sometimes you wouldn't change your life for anything.

seth had imprinted on you two months ago. and, for the past two months, you had managed to keep it a secret from both the wolves and cullens seeing as tensions between the two were at an all-time high thanks to the bella/edward/jacob situation nearly exploding over victoria and the mini-army she was building.

thankfully though, you had shield powers which, by some work of magic, extended themselves to seth making it so both of your thoughts about each other were protected from edward’s mind-reading abilities and the pack’s mind-link. 

recently, the pack and cullens had agreed to a modified patrol schedule so both groups could keep bella’s home protected. this meant that you and seth were seeing each other slightly more than before and, lucky for you, the two of you got put on patrol together for the night shift. 

despite the show you put on about being miserable to be paired with a ‘dog,’ you were over the moon you could finally have some alone time with seth without having to lie to everyone about where you were.

you had arrived at the lookout point the two of you were stationed at for the night, far up on the mountains, when you felt seth’s familiar hands slip around your waist from behind you, startling you. “didn’t mean to scare you,” he murmured, pressing his lips to the crook of your neck for a gentle kiss, “jus’ missed you.” 

you sighed, melting into his touch, taking his hands and wrapping them around your waist, “i missed you too.” you cooed, guiding his hands up your abdomen until they rested at your breasts, letting out a soft moan when seth squeezed at them gently. 

you turned in his grasp so you could face him, pressing your hands against his chest and peeking up at him, “i hate doing this.” you murmured, sliding your hand up his chest to wrap around his neck and pull him down to kiss you. 

he sighed softly as your lips connected, sliding his hands down to your hips and backing you up into a nearby tree so he could press you against it as he kissed you, “i know,” he murmured as he pulled away for a moment to take a breath, “i don’t know what to do.” he explained softly before pressing his lips to yours again, lifting you up to wrap your legs around his waist and slid his hand up your back until he knotted his fingers in your hair, tugging softly.

you whined at the touch, arching your back against the rough bark of the tree in an attempt to get closer to him. you rested your elbows on his shoulder, knotting your fingers in his hair as you kissed him, “i think we just need to tell them.” you pulled away to murmur and he nodded, pulling you back to kiss you again and pressing himself against you so he could grind his hips against yours.

you whimpered at the action, tightening your legs around his waist, “we can figure it out later, i jus’ need you right now.” he murmured against your lips.

when you arrived back at the cullen’s house around dawn the next morning, you were immediately greeted by disgusted faces from your ‘brothers,’ emmett and jasper. “you smell like a dog.” emmett said with a groan, “what were you even doing with him? i never have that problem when i have patrol with paul.” he added and you rolled your eyes, laughing softly. 

“i know,” you groaned, putting on a show of disdain for the two of them, “give it a few hours.” you rolled your eyes, heading into the house.

they both laughed, emmett adding, “did you see carlisle has us training with them today? we’re heading out in about an hour.” you shook your head, rolling your eyes again as you continued up the stairs and towards the front door.

jasper chuckled, softly adding, “everyone has a sparring partner for the day, and lucky you got paired up with your patrol buddy.” 

that caught your attention. you turned, looking at the two of them, “i’m fighting seth?” you asked incrediously. to them it probably seemed like you were disgusted, but in reality you were more concerned about the fact that you would be fighting your mate. 

both of them burst out in laughter, “i knew you’d love it!” emmett exclaimed sarcastically and you let out a loud groan before heading into the house.

within the next hour, you and the rest of the cullens had arrived at the training spot, a small clearing deep in the woods. unfortunately for you, you weren’t able to give seth any heads up and he was presumably just as shocked as you were when carlisle announced everyone’s sparring partners.

you were cautiously watching as the first few pairs fought, sparing a few nervous glances to seth every now and then which he reciprocated. while you failed to try and figure out a way to fight him without actually hurting him, carlisle announced that you and seth were up.

you sighed, pushing yourself up from your seated position and entered the small clearing. seth trotted in a moment after you, him along with the rest of the pack in their wolf form for training. 

jasper stepped in after to explain the rules, “okay so you two know the gist. seth don’t let get her arms around you and y/n don’t let him bite your head off.” he teased, eliciting a few chuckles from carlisle, edward, and emmett. 

you groaned, rolling your eyes at jasper, “how do we know when we’re done? i’d like to get this over as quickly as possible.” you explained exasperatedly, looking from seth to jasper desperately.

jasper chuckled, “for complaining about it, you’re done when i say so.” you let out a loud sigh, grumbling something about jasper being an egotistical ex-confederate as you got into a fighting stance, seth standing on the opposite side of the circle as you.

“alright, alright. you start on my count,” jasper explained. you didn’t even spare him a glance, too focused on seth, “3, 2, 1!” 

the two of you didn’t move. both of you trying to figure out how to get out of this without hurting each other and without exposing your secret. 

“oh my god you two suck!” emmett hollared from behind you, “get on the offense y/n!” 

you sucked in a breath, watching seth for any indication on what to do. unfortunately for you, he looked just as confused.

“i’m sorry” you mouthed to him hoping he’d forgive you, before lunging at him. both of you ended up on the forest floor wrestling for a moment before seth managed to pin you under him, his paws holding your wrists above your head as both of you panted. 

“keep going y/n,” jasper ordered, “i know you’re better than that!” 

you looked up at seth, “i can’t do this anymore,” you murmured trying to read his expression before he nodded.

you sighed, looking to the side at edward before lowering your mind shield, revealing both of your thoughts to edward who nearly choked when he finally saw what was going on. 

everyone quickly noticed edward’s reaction, giving you and seth a moment to compose yourselves and for you to get out from underneath him. 

you and edward held eye contact, daring him to explain to everyone what he saw, “she’s his imprint.” edward explained, eliciting gasps from most of the cullens.

seth leaned against your side, nuzzling your side encouragingly. you sighed threading your fingers through the fur on his head to soothe yourself as you mentally braced yourself to be chewed out by everyone.

carlisle was the first to break the silence, “he’s your mate?” he asked, softer than you expected. 

you nodded, turning your attention to the blonde male as he thought about his next question, “how long have you known?” 

you gnawed at your bottom lip nervously, “2 months.” you whispered softly, halting your fingers from continuing to stroke at seth’s fur.

carlisle nodded, looking at you and seth sadly, “i apologize that you both felt like you couldn’t tell us. we shouldn’t have put you in a situation like that.” 

you nodded, frowning and, if you were a human, you imagined you would’ve cried. carlisle opened his arms and you whimpered, stepping forward into his arms and allowed him to pull you into a tight hug. 

he was always more of a father figure to you than the other cullens and that served as one of many reasons why you always wanted to make him proud of you. you felt relief that at least he was happy for you.

“‘m sorry honey.” esme’s soft voice came from behind you and you whimpered, releasing your grip on carlisle to turn to her and allowed her to pull you into a hug as well. “carlisle is right. we shouldn’t have put you in that situation to begin with.” she cooed, holding your head to her chest and rubbing her hand up and down your back soothingly with her free hand. 

seth’s familiar touch came next, and you turned, smiling as you noticed that he had shifted back to his human form, now wearing a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt. 

“i love you.” you whispered, allowing him to pull you into a tight hug as he pressed his lips to your hair.

“i love you too pretty girl.” he cooed, holding you tightly to his chest. you smiled, flattening your palms against his chest as you turned your attention to the pack.

“are they okay with it?” you asked softly, looking back to seth as he smiled.

“‘course they’re okay with it. they have to be - tribal rules.” he explained pressing another gentle kiss to your forehead.

you nodded, letting out a sigh of relief. emmett was the first to break the silence from behind you, “wait so let me get this straight - you smelled like wet dog this morning because you were fucking him on patrol?” he asked before breaking out into booming laughter with jasper and edward. 

despite your mortification at his query, at least you knew you didn’t have to hide your mate anymore.
