“One would assume that you were tailing me.” You murmur as Kai’s hand finds your waist, his other intertwining with yours. “I am merely partaking in tonight’s event”, he flashes you a smirk as he spins you around. When you turn back to face him, he continues, “besides, it is you, who seems to show up where I go.” 

The large ballroom suddenly seemed a lot smaller, more crowded, as couples spun around on the floor. You glance along the sea of people, despite the loud chattering combined with the soothing melody flowing from the piano, plenty of gazes seem to linger around you and your current dance partner. 

Scoffing, you turn your attention toward the man in front of you, “and I suppose I am to lounge at home whilst you are out buttering up the young ladies of the ton?” The remark was supposed to be sarcastic, but it came out as more of a complaint. Kai cocks an eyebrow at you as he lets go off your waist to take a step back, you do the same before giving a small twirl of your gown. 

When you reconnect he grins, “does the thought bother you?” You can sense the mockery in his voice and his words make you want to roll your eyes. “Hardly. In fact I do suppose I feel sorry for the young lady who you are to court.” Kai’s expression flickers with a small glare as he twirls your around once more, this time he pulls you back harshly. “The same ought to go for the man willing to court you, oh wait-” he pauses as a smirk crawls to his lips, “there has yet to be one.” 

Your lips part in objection before you realize that he is right. This would be your second season and you had yet to even acquire more than a glance from any respectable man. You supposed that a lot had to do with the fact that Kai had managed to scare half of them off by the beginning of your first season — and he seemed intent on keeping it that way. 

He notices the scowl on your face and his smirk widens further. “Watch your tongue, we wouldn’t want to cause a scene now?” His mockery only spurred you on further as you surged forward despite the move not being incorporated in your dance. “You..” you begin but trail off as you notice the increasing glances sent your way, no less by your very much diabolical families — who remained seated as far from each other as physically possible. 

Kai huffs out a short breath, tickling your face as he does. “Don’t get lazy on the remarks now”, he drawls as he pulls you flush against his chest, drawing a small yelp from you. “Don’t you think we’re a little too close?” You mumble as your eyes dart across the room, finding almost every couple looking your way as low murmurs filled the room. 

Paying them no mind, Kai shrugs. “No. Do you?” Your gaze flickers back toward his menacing expression and your jaw clenches. “I reckon we’ve been closer.” The chuckle that escapes his lips causes your heart to flutter as you fight to remain composed. 

As the dance comes to an end, you’re quick to tear yourself away from Kai as you rush toward the beverages, in desperate need of something to cool you down. In the midst of gulping down your second glass of champagne, a few ladies your age hesitantly approach. You recognize their lingering glances from the dance floor and you know where their interests lay. 

Before they get the chance to speak you interrupt them. “He’s a terrible dancer”, you say as you wipe your lips with the back of your hand. “Way too rough and he keeps walking on my toes”, you complain as you watch the young ladies' faces morph from curiosity to slight disgust.  

Kai wasn’t unattractive, nor was he of low income; in truth he was a desirable man and you knew that many ladies of the ton fawned over him. The thought alone made your stomach churn. But with the excuse of being long time family rivals came plenty of opportunities to fend said ladies off, whether it be lies of his bad breath or uncoordinated moves on the dancefloor, you usually managed to shoot down any opposing threats. 

You knew that Kai did the same, it was why you had yet to receive any callers. You just hoped that the small lies about each other would be enough to fend off any suspicions from high society. Your own families on the other hand, was a far greater issue and as the young ladies bowed to take their leave, your old maid clears her throat behind you. 

“What?” You mutter as you reach for a third glass. She doesn’t say anything as she gives you a knowing glare to which you roll your eyes. Your gaze wanders across the ballroom to find Kai with his arms wrapped around one of the many young ladies. She smiles as she leans into his touch, batting her eyelashes at him in a disgustingly desperate manner. 

Biting the inside of your cheek, you set your glass down as you excuse yourself to the ladies room. Your maid begins to trail behind you to which you spin around on your heel, “I do not need a chaperon with me for the ladies room.” You huff as she eyes you with much distrust. Cocking an eyebrow at her, you stand your ground. “Unless you wish to hold my dress for me?” Your old maid purses her lips before inevitably giving up and retreating toward the rest of your family. 

The bathroom was down a secluded hallway and you took your time as you passed the many paintings adorning the walls, making sure to eye each and all carefully. Once you had shut the door to the bathroom behind you, you leaned against one of the cool walls as your eyes fluttered closed. 

It doesn’t take long before you hear the faint sound of footsteps approaching. Your eyes remain shut as the bathroom door clicks open and it isn’t until it’s closed once more that they peer up at the intruder. “You should know better than to leave the door unlocked”, Kai muses as he locks it behind him. “Anyone could’ve walked in”, he adds as he eyes you with a small smirk. 

You quickly push yourself off the wall as you march up to him, slamming your lips against his. “I knew you would get here before anyone else”, you mutter as your fingers make quick work of the buttons on his dress shirt. Kai chuckles against your lips as he lets you take out your suppressed emotions on his garments. 

Breaking apart from the kiss, you push his shirt off his shoulders, the tip of your nails dragging across his bare chest. Your gaze flickers up to meet his, “who was she?” the words come out as a faint hiss and Kai’s amused expression only fueled your anger. Leaning in to press his lips against your neck, he hums against your skin. “No one you should worry about.” 

His words brought you little comfort but he didn’t give you any time to object as he pushed you up against the cold tiles, making sure to hike your dress up in the process. Your hands moved to your bosom as you untied the neat bows holding it together, letting the silk falter to expose your chest to him. Kai groans when your fingers in his hair guide his head to one of your nipples as he attaches his lips around the bud. Back arching off the ceramic walls, your hands grab fistfuls of his hair as Kai swirls his tongue across your breast before nipping gently at the soft skin. 

Moans of reassurance and praise leave your lips as your eyes flutter closed. Within short his lips are back on yours as one of his hands finds its way between your bodies to unzip his pants. As the tip of his cock presses against your folds you suddenly break apart from the kiss to look at him, your hands on either side of his face. 

“Was she someone special?” You ask, unable to let go of the young woman you had previously seen him with. Kai’s brows draw together as he stills, “are you actually intending on having this conversation right now?” he groans to which you bite your bottom lip. You could admit that the timing was a little off but you needed answers, and you weren’t sure when else you would be able to get them. 

Upon your silence Kai impatiently snaps his hips as he buries himself inside of you, drawing a breathy moan from your throat. His lips reattach to your neck as he pulls your skin between his teeth, keeping a steady pace of his hips as your hands move to his broad shoulders. “I don’t know who she was”, he grunts between thrusts. 

Your head falls back against the wall behind you as your lips remain parted, allowing the small noises of pleasure to escape them. “A family friend of sorts, I didn’t care to catch her name.” His pace increased as your nails dug into his back. “Yet she was clinging to you like a whore”, you practically seethe. 

“Fuck, I love when you’re like this.” Kai groans as his grip on your thighs tighten. Your fingers grab ahold of his hair as you pull his face up to your own. “Shut up.” You hiss as you slam your lips back onto his. You can feel him smirking against you as his thrusts grow sloppy. He catches the moans and whines that leave you as you come on his cock, pushing his tongue inside your mouth as he rocks his hips against you.

I loved katsuki's chapters so fucking much, being able to see inside his mind and how he thinks and views izuku was amazing and its just a really fun, angsty, romance filled story. its quite smutty, although i think people freak out about that a little too much on tiktok but thats coming from someone that writes petplay regularly lmao, but i really love this. its so long, its addicting, and my god its CINEMATIC. this was the first bakudeku fic i ever read too, so it really got me into the anime again as well as the ship PLUS IT HAS SO MUCH GOOD 80s MUSIC THAT IVE SAVED AND LISTEN TO DAILY NOW PLS DOWNLOAD THE PLAYLIST FOR THE FULL EXPERIANCE MY GOD

this is the authors only other story and it was another joy! ive never read hanahaki stories before but it was gut wrenching, ilterally, how beautiful and horrifying the fictional disease is. we see a pining, desperatley in love katsuki with such a sweet izuku. they're both silly for not admitting their feelings but we had to have the angst somewhere, it was just another joy to read!

A:FoP Sky Breaker DLC Thoughts...

Alright so i finished the main story of the DLC and have let my thoughts cook for a minute. This is just some of my thoughts/opinions overall. I will have to do a separate post for my more intense thoughts because I managed to actually hit the character limit and I wasn't even halfway through everything (i didn't even know tumblr had one of those and I've been on here for over a decade)

Spoilers for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Sky Breaker DLC under the cut.

The opening? Gorgeous. Amazing. Fantastic. Obsessed with the little cut scene of our Sarentu on their Ikran. I am in love. I was really pleasantly surprised to see Kin right off the bat too! Thats my grandpa, i love him! And then walking with the Zakru and getting to hear other NPCs talking was really nice. I loved the banter about So'lek.

Getting into the main games camp was visually very pretty but confusing. I got lost immediately (distracted by the wandering Zakru) and accidently came in from the back? and then proceeded to not be able to find anything or anyone. I kept getting turned around and winding up back with Etuwa and Ka'nat. I did eventually find everyone else but it was a struggle.

Was Eetu only there at the very start??? He was hanging out with So'lek and having a very cute banter and then as everything progress he completely disappeared. Sosul too for that matter. It made me a little worried when he wasn't there after a while bc it felt like almost all the other key npcs got at least a small cameo in other quests but not Eetu? I got paranoid he died but also i think hes an important enough NPC that someone else would have said something if that was the case. I guess i just wanted more of him in general. (Im biased/delusional and ship him with my Sarentu, i will take literally anything)

Theres also a smaller moment, walking around where Teylan calls and starts talking about Nor, about how he would have loved the games, that really got me. For a second i actually thought Nor might come back later in the story, but given how things went it makes sense that he wouldnt. I do really hope that Nor shows up in the next DLC because I really need closure for him. He deserves to see and be a part of what his fellow Sarentu are building and to heal from all the hurt he has been through.

Can the Zeswa PLEASE catch a break? 😭 First the arches are collapsed, then Pasuk, now this?? I need this to be the last big bad thing that happens to them for a while.

More So'lek all the time please! I love him. I loved his role in the over all story and how he helps us throughout the final mission. He is the reason i am desperate for a romance in this game, but i can't have that so i'll just have to write it myself fhdjskghfs

I will be making a separate post about my thoughts on everything with Alma and Mokasa.

With the last of TAP (more or less) gone now, I'm really curious about the next DLC and the general future of Frontiers. Secrets of the Spires comes out in Fall, which is rapidly approaching, but i doubt we will hear anything until like September at the earliest. I think I remember hearing about a new clan in the new area for that one?? (Could be wrong though) Im really curious what the plot for that one is gonna be now that Mercer and Harding are gone.

Hopefully we will see Nor again. I'm kinda also hoping for a movie cameo? like Norm or Max showing up? We got an audio cameo of Ardmore, i think it'd be cool to see some friendly faces or at least audio for one of those guys. I don't think we will get a Jake cameo but i would lose my mind if we did lol.

Im also really hoping that theres more content coming in the future? More DLC or comics or something cause AFoP is the only thing keeping me sane when it comes to Avatar Brainrot rn.

Well, the collection we get the most canon info for is Natsuki's and its apparently a pretty big one considering it took her two trips from the lockers to the club in the side stories. It also follows a sorting system that she takes really seriously considering how annoyed she gets when Monika moves it. What kind of manga would it have though? Obviously many shojo/ slice of life/ magical girl stuff. Maybe a few popular shonen tittles

The only other book descriptions we get are Yuri's books, which apparently are quite big and thick books. She probably stores them in a massive dark academia aesthetic bookshelf in her room. Similarly to Natsuki she probably also has a sorting system, maybe she is a tad bit more forgiving if you mess it up somehow though. Most of the books are fantasy franchises with like 5-6 books each. Ofc there are some horror books, and a few classics

Yk whats funny? I dont think Sayori is ever mentioned to have books of her own lmao. The only books we see her read are Yuri's and Natsuki's. Sayori's main interest in literature is poetry, so maybe she has a few of those poem collection books, maybe some children's books ect. Unlike the others there is no way she has any sort of sorting system. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if she just left them lying around her room

Monika is also a character i dont think has ever explicitly stated what her favourite books are. She is shown reading parfait girls, and she does say she used to read romance novels, so thats something. I think she mostly reads the classics. Thats not to say she has read every single book in existence, but i can see her dipping her toes into a lot of different genres. Maybe middle school Monika had a twilight phase (so did Yuri btw). Anyway, she is also very serious about her organising of her books. Probably cares about the appearance of her bookshelf too instead of just the efficiency of the sorting so I imagine a lot of decorating

yesterday i finished reading a fic that left me emotionally devastated and in tears when i finished (a p5 akeshu postcanon fic because thats the mood rn) and it was genuinely on the level of like. real professional published writing i was utterly shooketh and destroyed by it. and i thought that. and instantly thought of how it is a story that would never ever ever work as a novel and could not exist or function outside of the fanficiton context. because not only is it postcanon meaning it doesnt work at all if you dont know all the relevant events of an entire completed existing work of fiction, you really do kinda need to be an shuake person already bc we kind a have a shared ship subfandom and our own headcanons of their relationship and the dynamics of what its like as a romance. and also a lot of what makes the fic so good is the specific goro characterization that is lost without the og canon context.

anyway not sure where i'm going with this im actually generally not really against the serial numbers filed off practice for fanfic to novel like, in theory, yknow. it really is a morally gray area and its messy, but i get it. you pour hours of your life into making something, it is well received, many people tell you it holds up to the quality level of published writing, why not make that effort also help you support yourself, like if you can turn a labor of love into a labor that gets treated as labor that seems fair. but also maybe you should really only do that in cases of AUs where a lot of it really is your own original ideas and the canon is only a vague baseline and it can actually be divorced from its original context. because like yeah there really is fanfic that is genuinely that good and yet it needs to stay fanwork because thats the medium and its deeply entrenched in that medium. and also yknow even in cases of extreme aus or something thats very original there is still the inherent Putting Your Fave In Situation draw inherent to fanfic so you ought to consider how much losing that will also take away from your story. like in theory nothing wrong with that it can work but it has to be a very specific kinda fanfic that most fanfics are not.

OK CHAT LOCKING IN AND WRITING AS I COME UP WITH STUFF FOR AN OBEY ME THE GOOD PLACE AU BECAUSE OF BRAINROT💔 (the good place spoilers below, obey me spoilers below too but lesser)

So starting with the obvious ones:

Eleanor is MC (both main characters, both the humans who brought peace to the universe or whatever. Also both whores who said that?)

Janet is Barbatos (both op and very smart who live to help and grow closer with the mc slowly)

Ok I actually can’t think of anymore obvious ones. (I’m gonna preface that I’m going based mostly off of personalities and their roles to the story, not their relationships with one another so if I put two brothers as people who end up together this is NOT demoncest I’m not talking about the romance aspect😭)

Going through the main the good place cast, it makes sense that Jason is Mammon (loveable dorks with good hearts but do crime lowkey. They’re literally the same person)

AND THAT WOULD MEAN IN THIS UNIVERSE BARBMON/MACARON IS CANON IG? (Again I’m not focusing on the romance aspect, this is just something just worth saying)

Who would be Tahani? Asmo, maybe? They both like to brag about themselves, they’re both canonically the hottest, both popular and lowkey pretentious… yeah I’d go with that

And chidi is difficult. He’s indecisive, a great lover, a nerd, loves reading, into moral philosophy, so I’m gonna say Simeon is the closest, but I’m not sure if that would fit well just better than others

Michael is hard. Maybe Michael is Michael; both called Michael and mysterious ig, but I think he’d be a better fit for either Solomon or Diavolo. Let me explain:

Solomon and Michael both appear friendly at first while actually having bad intentions. They possess a power unknown to any of their peers and as the series goes on, grow very attached to the main characters. They’re also both different to what they first said they were (Michael claimed to be an angel but was a demon, Solomon didn’t explicitly claim to be normal but he’s certainly more powerful than he appears)

Diavolo and Michael also both appear friendly at first, except diavolo actually is friendly which lowkey ruins it… though I’d say diavolo seems like he has some ulterior motive in the start of the game lowkey, he really doesn’t. Dude just wants peace. Which is similar to Michaels character growth but that feels like a stretch. they’re both in control of the whole thing, and are trying to introduce a new idea to the afterlife despite backlash.

I’d say Solomon fits better though (in either case, this would result in Solomon/diavolo being kind of a father figure to Barb at some point, which is funny to think about)

Ok now non-main characters

Vicky is Satan, which would mean it would be funny to have lucifer be Michael, but lucifer just isn’t as good of a fit for Michael as Solomon is, sadly. Satan and Vicky both feel like they have a point to prove to people underestimating them and they’re both quite smart and value their knowledge and likeability.

Mindy st Claire pisses me off (not the character, thinking about who would be her) BECAUSE Solomon is definitely best fit for her (humans who are their own league of morality, kind of anti-social/lonely though that’s because of isolation, relaxed) BUT he’s better fit for Michael. Soooo we will return to her LMAO (rn considering Levi???)

Simeon would also be good for her (Humans who I imagine wouldn’t be allowed into the good/bad place since he’s kinda yk just fell from there…) but he’s much better as chidi

Glenn would fit as mammon but mammon is so Jason-coded it’s unreal

What other characters even exist uhhhh ummm uhhh

Lucifer/camilla is much more accomplished and respected, which makes satan/tahani resent her/him. Tahani and satan are both well read and self respecting as well.

Then who would Asmo be fml

I mean mindy is always joking about masturbating. Not even joking she’s just jorking it 24/7 and she did record Eleanor and chidi for a sex tape so I’d say Asmo is pretty well fit yeah

Who would be asmos derek then. Hm. We can ignore he was made by Janet/barb since that doesn’t really apply to anyone (perchance Solomon or dia since they lowkey have a family bond??? Stretch) and focus on the fact he was incredibly stupid but Asmo/mindy reset him so much he got very smart (I think by the end of the series he was like… a god? Help)

I think Solomon would fit actually but he’s better as Michael and I don’t like the idea of Solomon being Barbatos’ rebound for mammon because mammon started sleeping with satan. I hate that sentence, actually. Especially that last part. What am I doing with my life

Anyway I think we should come back to Derek (considering Mephisto I will explain later if I stick with that)

The main characters go into Janet’s void/barbatos’ room of doors or whatever and they all just look like different barbatos fits.

Ok but also Belphie could be bad Janet, lowkey… no barb au 100% I’m sticking with there just being a million barbs (this implies disco barb exists. Fun)

I do remember Sean’s existence I just don’t know who he’d be. I like the idea of him being Raphael but Raphael isn’t mean they just have the same vibes yk. They need beef with michael/solomon. Mepbisto as Simone????????? Would Raphael fit better??????? One of those two as Simone, we will return when we have a character for Levi

Simone is into neuroscience, she’s smart, self assured, sassy and exes with chidi (who is now Simeon) but tbh I could see both Raphael and Mephisto as her… I’m gonna say Mephisto because I feel like he just has that wit that Simone has and Raphael isn’t rlly as witty

Who is Raphael then guys. Anybody like spears? Wet cat energy? Bad food taste? Sorry I don’t like Raphael enough (NOT HATE🙅‍♀️) to be able to characterize him properly. I would say one of the good place council members but nah he’s not overly positive enough for that. Could he be Hypatia, maybe? They have similar vibes when she’s not drinking milkshake and being all woo-ey because of the immortality thing but that still doesn’t feel right.

Vicky is Raphael that fits a bit (totally not just trying to fit them both in) so no more Hypatia oh well she was in like 2 episodes and was just a plot device anyway maybe she can be maddi idk who else exists

Edit: I forgot to recast Derek. Oops. Derek is lowkey Solomon coded but AGAIN I like him too much as michael, so I’m gonna say Dia??? And that way Michael can be judge Gen? Idk how to feel about implying Dia and Barbatos dated and Barb created him as a rebound though… Oh well I’m already technically implying Satan and Mammon did the deed and that’s gross so just ignore the relationship implications based on casting🙏
