vampire dicktim!! bc apparently im watching the vampire diaries now and its Not what i expected lmao. i was originally thinking dark!dick who starts off just kind of playing with his food before he gets attached and ends up turning tim, and maybe thats still how its gonna go but i have like,, ,, au details now

they also spiraled out of control so theyre under a read more lmao

alfred is the one who already a vampire at the start, he turns bruce when bruce is in his late 20s/early 30s (at some point in the early 1900s) cause he got some sort of sickness and was going to die and alfred wasnt gonna have that after martha and thomas had already died.

bruce spends the first year or two almost starving himself cause he doesnt want to kill anyone and doesnt trust himself to drink from a person and not stop before they die, alfred ends up forcing him to drink from peoplem with bruce's condition that alfred be there to step in if bruce starts to take too much. they go on like this until bruce trusts himself and does the whole "drink, compel them to forget, release" but he's still not super happy with drinking from people

bruces moves a lot, but every so many years he goes back to gotham until it becomes necessary to move away again to keep his secret, and in the 1940s hes left gotham again and stumbles across halys circus when dick is orphaned, and ofc he takes dick, but this is less "legal ward" and more "kidnapping that goes unsolved" - not that dick sees it that way, hes kind of obsessed with the fact that bruce is a vampire, actually, and he keeps badgering him to turn him, but bruce refuses while he's still a kid

they get into a big fight still when dick is 18 bc bruce still refuses to turn him, so dick runs off, assumes bruce could/would come find him if he /really/ wanted to, but he doesnt.

not until he finds out that dick has been seeing known vampire hunter slade wilson (also we're gonna say hes immortal for handwavey reasons, i want him to be able to pop back up later lmao). bruce gets in the middle of it, tells dick that slade was only into him to get to bruce, and causes another huge fight. when slade ends up actually saving bruce from something else during all this bc he knows that despite everything bruce does mean something to dick, it ends in a tentative, temporary truce (and a break up) but in all the mess, dick was grievously injured and bruce finally turns him

they end up moving back to gotham in the 1980s and enter jason. jason differs from dick in a lot of ways, but most especially in the fact that he does not want to be turned like dick did, he only entertains the idea because he feels like he /needs/ to be a vampire to be bruce's son. so jason is conflicted, but he knows bruce wouldnt even consider turning him until he's older anyway so he has some time to figure it out. but when he's 17 and his birthday is looming closer and closer, he starts to worry more about it.

he finds out about his birth mother then and seeks her out in another attempt at family bc of his conflicting feelings about bruce and vampirism in general. it ends similarly to canon, except like with dick, bruce ends up turning jason to save him. it causes more issues between them, jason mad he didnt get a choice in the matter and bruce unwilling to budge from the choice of making sure jason didnt die

jason and bruce have a blow out about this and jason threatens to just run away, something about how dick managed just fine at his age and bruce let him. bruce counters that dick wasnt a vampire at the time, let alone a freshly turned one. he ends up sending jason to stay with talia- just for a few years, so jason isnt totally on his own and bruce doesnt have to worry so much, but jason will still get his space

enter tim. who realized the wayne's secret at a young age and kept quiet about it because they clearly werent killing anyone- and actually, when other vampires did kill in gotham, the waynes seemed to be the ones to quickly take care of the problem. so yeah, tims not scared of them, and he keeps their secret. it doesnt hurt that he's always had a big crush on dick too.

and dick can tell that tim has a crush, they both in the high society circle so its not like theyre strangers. he doesnt know tim /knows/ at first, he just starts flirting to pass the time. things have been boring recently.

bruce adopted an animal diet several years before taking in jason, and tried to get dick to do the same but he refused. the immortality wasnt the only reason he wanted to be a vampire in the first place, after all.

so with jason gone and bruce walking the line of "the friendliest vampire to exist" dick was getting a little stir crazy. he was even in an off period with the on-again-off-again slade situationship. thats why he starts to play with tim, thinks he'll flirt and fluster the kid until he gets old enough to play with in other ways

its not long before he realizes tim knows. and that intrigues him to no end- because how does he know? when did he find out? why hasnt he told anyone?

its not much longer after that that tim freely offers his blood to dick. a cute little "i want to know what it feels like" when dick asks why, and how is he supposed to say no to that?

thinking about how liam almost fell to his death from the hospitals rooftop and then like very soon after that willingly went back to that same rooftop to help kira. and then during the whole ghost rider thing, he jumps VERY far down to get to the horse.

its just. liam constantly getting confronted with situations that were very traumatizing for him and always entering those situations head on. almost falling to his death, getting bitten and kidnapped and turned into a werewolf? goes back to that same rooftop to fight a monster very soon after that.

and liam is so terrified of the berserkers to the point hes scared to be alone, scared in the dark, too scared to fall asleep, so afraid that he cant focus on lacrosse, so scared that he keeps seeing/hallucinating? a berserker about to attack him and then he STILL decides to go to mexico??? stiles literally tells him that he doesnt have to come with them and liam goes "i know but i want to" WHAT THE FUCK? and its a full moon!

hes scared of losing control, hes been on edge bc of everything happening and scott not being there for him anyway and he still manages to control himself on the full moon and goes to fight the monsters hes terrified of anyway.

the whole thing with the berserker and how he got bitten both happened on the rooftop of the hospital. so hes had two traumatizing events happen on a rooftop and he still jumps so far down during the wild hunt thing to get to the horse.

and he even says "i hate horses" RIGHT before it? and he still does it??? theo asks him if he knows how to ride a horse and he just says "not really!" and rides off anyway??? hayden asks him when he learned how to ride a horse and he just goes "right now" like???

moving on.

he has only bad memories with brett and still forces himself to confront him in front of EVERYBODY and be nice to him, knowing what brett is like. and when brett starts taunting and threatening him, he tries so hard to control himself, he makes himself bleed. brett is nothing but an asshole to him and liam still starts being kinda? weirdly? friends with him and asks brett for help with lacrosse, tries to save brett, feels guilty for bretts death even though it wasnt his fault.

oh and that fucking class room scene. he got beaten up so badly that he was absolutely COVERED in blood and would have so many serious injuries if it wasnt for his fast healing, he took that beating while his whole class was watching and laughing and his fucking teacher didnt intervene and just went "oh its better to leave them alone sometimes" and then when scott asks him to go back to that class, he STILL does it. he knows the whole school is full of people who want to kill him, he mentions that he hates biology and he still goes back to that fucking class full of people who stood there while he was coughing up blood on the floor. to that teacher, WHO WAS A WEREWOLF HERSELF, and still just took one look at his face and refused to help him. he went back to that class and did just as scott asked him to.

also: he knew what happened to him at that zoo and he still made the plan to go there himself bc apparently the plan was more important to him than his trauma. like im so serious, he just keeps going back and back into situations where he was hurt and helpless and alone and he sometimes mentions his discomfort or fear but he still does it. he just goes back to those situations and does whats necessary (or what he deems necessary) anyway. god i love him.

hes so brave like. gets attacked and poisoned and thrown down into a well to die? instead of despairing, he starts CLIMBING his way out of that well. falls back down, hurts himself punching the wall, thinks of his dad, starts climbing again.

he wants scotts approval and thinks he isnt a good leader but he still sticks to his ideas and goes through with them and takes full responsibility, proving to scott that hes capable. i mean fucking hell, he took a ghostriders horse and rode INTO the wild hunt. like who does that????

and because hes strong and aggressive he gets put into that brawn stereotype instead of brain but hes actually so smart. he comes up with plans constantly and he has quick thinking & good observation skills. like yeah hes a bit of a dumbass and says silly things but hes strong and capable and smart and brave and a good leader..

and god his character development in s6a. the way he tries to tell hayden that he can be the alpha but cant even get the words out bc clearly he doesnt believe them himself. and he tries to be a leader & hes GOOD at it, but he still doesnt believe in himself, thinks he doesnt deserve being team captain, doesnt ask for his friends help even though they're willing to follow his lead. and at the end of s6a when stiles tells him that hes the alpha now that scotts leaving, he just goes, all nonchalant, "im not an alpha" hes not worried about it or doubts himself or has trouble admitting that. hes not an alpha, obviously, but he doesnt have to be. he can be a leader, the alpha in acting or whatever without having to be The Alpha™

MY POINT IS: he goes through something extremely traumatic, struggles with fear and self doubt, doesnt even open up to his friends about it or ask for help and then still faces his fear and brings himself willingly right back into a situation that caused him trauma. my favorite reckless silly puppy...

maybe its just because jinx is bpd (or, at least, HEAVILY coded as such) and i have a mood disorder but i truly cannot help but be bewildered by the lack of understanding and empathy towards her character both in the show and in the fandom. shes essentially a broken, manipulated, desperate child- even if shes "grown" now, shes so severely traumatized i sincerely doubt her brain developed properly and she certainly didnt and doesnt have the help required to become a well adjusted stable individual. i dont say this to take away her agency or infantilize her- her actions ARE her choice, and she DOES understand what she is doing. however, despite this, a majority of what shes done has NEVER been in a moment of rational thinking. she only did what she did as powder due to desperation; she threw the bag in the water because she was cornered, she accidentally caused the deaths she did because she didnt understand the tech she had and she was desperate to save her family. everything she does after as jinx is largely due to silcos manipulation, being severely disordered, traumatized, and abandoned, and literally every single person in her life telling her all shes good for is destruction and causing pain. she spends almost her ENTIRE life being told by EVERYONE but the person actively manipulating her that she is incompetent, annoying, destructive and batshit. OBVIOUSLY SHES NOT GOING TO BE NORMAL. OBVIOUSLY SHES GOING TO LOSE IT WHEN THE O N E PERSON SHE HAS LEFT FUCKING DIES BECAUSE SHE ACCIDENTALLY SHOT HIM DURING A PTSD DRIVEN BREAKDOWN CAUSED BY HER GODDAMN SISTER. O B V I O U S L Y SHES GOING TO DO SOMETHING RASH AND IMPULSIVE IN HER MANIC, BROKEN STATE. because now, she has nothing left. she has nothing to lose. shes a jinx, and she ruins everything that she touches, and maybe, just maybe, she can use that to honor her fathers lifelong goal. obviously this goes horribly and backfires on everyone, putting a target on the entire undercitys back, but she ABSOLUTELY wasnt thinking about that when she bombed the goddamn capitol mid breakdown. in season 2, after making this impulsive (and frankly idiotic but thats neither here nor there) decision she lays low, avoiding causing any damage unless necessary (although it IS overkill whenever she does harm people, thats what shes been taught is normal. she literally grew up in the undercity where people are murdered and mugged on a daily basis.) and using every opportunity to scourge her own existence. she VERY clearly hates herself for what shes done, and she certainly doesnt seem to be proud of any of it. i think this is best displayed in the discussion she has with isha when they first meet. when vi and the enforcer squad come after her, shes literally minding her business, making a GIFT for the woman who has repeatedly hurt her because "it was something (she) could fix." she cant even shoot vi when shes actively gassing her, literally CRYING at the thought. the only reason she actively begins attempting to kill her and caitlyn is because THEY'RE DOING THE SAME DAMN THING, and once again she very clearly cant bring herself to do so to vi. even in s1, during the tea party scene, its pretty evident that she doesnt intend to kill vi in my opinion? to make matters worse, when vi tries to kill HER, she practically BEGS her to do it.

i understand that jinx is objectively NOT a good person!!! she has literally killed tens of maybe hundreds of people and yes, she did kill caitlyns mom (although very honestly i could care less about that ngl caitlyn is absolutely a good character but i dont like her as a person for reasons largely unrelated to jinx 😓). she literally builds bombs and guns and whatever the fuck for fun. she enjoys watching people be beaten and killed. but i think the absolute lack of any empathy or understanding towards her a lot of people exhibit is a little ridiculous and it infuriates me to no end 😭 thank you for coming to my autistic ted talk!!!!

-im gonna start this after hes already established as the mad hatter and has already moved on from alice (side note- its weird that he only had one episode where he was after her, right?)

-he doesnt know what came over him, he just saw the most interesting person walking by his hideout and simply had to follow them home! hes used to flights of fancy regarding random people, but most of his fixations fade after only a few days. the only people who have held his attention for longer have been alice and now you. he loved alice, and if you captivate him like she did, he must love you too, right...? but then, why does his interest in you feel so different?

-he cant exactly bump into you in public, hes a wanted criminal, but he has to meet you somehow. he feels like if he just spoke to you, he could make sense of his feelings. so he dons a disguise and follows you to the library. hes seen all the little pins and patches on your clothing, he knows what sort of books you like, so he stations himself in that aisle, hoping he'll be able to chat with you

-and lucky him, you reach for a book right next to him! he takes note of the title- its no alice in wonderland, but it seems interesting enough. he asks you if its any good, and that leads to a wonderful conversation about literature! oh, hes so delighted to be speaking to you, especially when you mention your schedule for library visits. he already knew, of course, but now he can freely pop up there without seeming like a stalker. you part ways for the day, but you cant help but notice how he watches you as you leave...

-you become good friends soon, meeting at the library and discussing what youve read lately. youve never spoken to someone who listens so intently when you ramble about your interests, and its refreshing when he apologizes after incorrectly assuming your pronouns. and hes so respectful, promising to never give you a reason to correct him again. its a bit strange how much he cares, seeing that youve only known each other for a month or so, but nobodys really tried to be your friend before, so maybe youre just overthinking it

-you call him a good friend to his face, and he... sort of freezes. with alice, it always stung when she called him a friend, but with you? it feels like everything finally makes sense. of course he wasnt romantically attracted to you, youre nothing like alice! his mind had never wandered to thoughts of kissing or marriage like it had when he was pining for her, it had always been thoughts of a nice tea party and the like! he loved you, yes, but just as friends! friends... what a wonderful, positively frabjous word!

-after his little epiphany, he seems much brighter and eager than he did when you first met. that just makes it all the scarier when youre late to your library hangout after an unfortunate mugging. despite assuring jervis that youre fine and the only thing you really cared about losing was one of your pins, you can hear him muttering under his breath about how he wont let this stand. the mood is off for the rest of the day, but theres nothing to be done about it

-you wake up the next morning to a knock at the door. its jervis, in full hatter attire, presenting your stolen pin to you. while you question how you didnt notice that your library friend was a notorious criminal, he locks the door behind him and makes himself comfortable. he sits you down and explains how he was drawn to you from the moment he saw you, and he simply had to know you better. he regrets having to lie about his identity, but it was necessary, dont you see? if he was recognized, he never wouldve gotten the chance to become such good friends with you! but of course, he cant let his dearest friend get hurt! he had always worried for your safety, but your mugging was the last straw. he simply cant allow you to go out into gotham anymore, its far too dangerous!

-before you can protest, he slips a card behind your ear and you black out. when you wake up, youre in his hideout, in a room specifically tailored to you. your favorite books are on the shelves, theres posters of your favorite movies and shows on the walls, the tv has a few consoles plugged into it, he even got records of all your favorite music! here, he explains, youll be kept safe and happy. your own personal wonderland

-if youre alright with this new arrangement, expect jervis to hover over everything you do. not because hes suspicious, he just wants to understand your interests. he'll get you unbirthday gifts every day (except your birthday, of course), and youll have tea parties at least once a week. oh, what a wonderful time youll have together!

-if you still want to leave... oh, dear. he doesnt take rejection well, he never has. its almost worse this time, because you considered him a friend before! whats changed? hes still the same man you met all those weeks ago, why wouldnt you want to be friends with him now? hes learned from alice, a card on your head isnt the solution to his problem, but boy is he tempted. he supposes youll just have to spend some time alone before youll see reason. despite all the entertainment in your room, you still need human interaction, so youll probably go a bit mad before you see him again. but at least you want to spend time with him now! he doesnt care about your sanity, just that youre with him. after all, we're all mad here

A headcanon that I thought of.

An old someone work inspired me. Important info: I have an entire series about my Y/N stories but if you only want to read this then here is a small sum it up. Y/N ate a devil fruit which allows her to control ink in various ways but as she is young she isn’t able to control, as well is the power of the fruit a spirit lives inside it. She was used because of her devil fruit. TW: Self-hate, injuries, Female Y/N, fighting, Y/N x Ace.

You noticed Ace had been angry for a couple of days you didn't know why he seemed if something pissed him he'll just burst. Sabo told you he was having a rough week by the looks of it.

You sat next to Sabo as you watched Luffy and Ace arguing about a random thing again. You sighed as you looked at Sabo.

"What is it now?" You asked.

"They were training with each other and Ace was saying his moves sucked." Sabo replied.

You look at the two fighting boys in front of you until Luffy called you.

"Hey Y/N I want to prove a special move I made but it won't work on Ace so can you do it instead."

You nodded as you stood up and went where Luffy was as you grabbed your pipe that you always had on your side even if it wasn't necessary. You looked at Luffy.

"Okay come and hit me" Luffy said.

You raised an eyebrow. Why would you need to hit him? You never hit any of them at all of course you hit other people them was a no. You were too afraid that ....might happen.

"Why, do I need to hit you, I dont want to hurt you?" You looked as you tilted your head.

"You won't this move in unbeatable" Luffy said as he got into a stance. But you shaked your head as you looked at him.

"Still I might hurt you...but I'll do it just not a very strong point"

"Ok! Let's go!"

Before you could start your attack Ace sits up and his face is darken as you look at him.

"You'll never get strong if you keep holding yourself back, Y/n. I always tell you that" he said, holding his pipe. "Just because we are your friends you don't have to hesitate".

You nodded. "Yes bu-" Ace cuts you off.

"No buts, now come on try and attack me and I'll show you how it's done."

You shake your head "I'm not going to hit you." You reply back.

"Then I'll start it" Ace says as he dashes towards you and raises his pipe.

You block his attack with your pipe as you get thrown back a little.

"That's all you can do?" he asked with a smirk and you pursed your lips, then attacked him again.

You guys keep attacking you blocking his attack while he attacks you. You dodge one of his attack by a hair as you try and stop his barging attacks.

Luffy and Sabo looked at you intensely and while the former looked at you two with a proud smile, the latter felt a strange sensation inside himself, as if something was wrong.

You both still keep attacking as you try blocking his attacks as you didn't want to hit him. He was able to let you drop your pipe when he hit the weapon out your hand as he went behind and kicked your knees as you fell to the ground.

"That hurt you know!" You say as you turn around to look at him as you stood up.

As dashed at you as you blocked his attack.

"Ace! Listen already!" You shout as he keeps attacking you but you not attacking him.

If Ace wanted to encourage you to be stronger... Well, at that moment he was NOT succeeding at all.

The more you both fought the more you felt pain course through your body which wasnt a good sign..it ment that your devil fruit will act randomly.

You start to slow down to let your abilities stay put as you didn't want it to be shown. You vision began to blur as you start to become more weak and unstable.

"You should speed up Y/N the enemy won't hold back!" Ace says.

Sabo walks over to Ace to reason with him a bit.

"Hey Ace how about we sit down and you can fight me next?" Sabo tries to compermise.

"No there is no breaks in battle! The enemy might use it as an advantage!" Ace shouts as he hits you again as you fall back blocking his forced attack with your pipe.

You look back up as pipe is in your face. He keeps attacking you again as you try and dodge his attack.

The more you continued to fight, the more Sabo realized that he wasn't wrong about the strange feeling of before. Sabo had noticed how the more time passed, the more you were getting tired and it was becoming more and more difficult to keep up with Ace. He didn't understand Ace's sudden determination to keep you fighting and he didn't understand why he was almost more violent than usual at that moment.

Ace hits your knees with his pipe as you fall to the ground. As you look up you see Ace running towards you probably ready to start another group of attacks. Your body couldn't moves as images flashed in your mind. The screaming, the pain, the violence.

Ace kept coming at you but when he got close enough your body was in a trance already as in your head Ace was them.

"Ace, get out the way!" You shouted as all three boys raised an eyebrow Ace still running.

You raised your hand as ink flows out quickly another huge ink ball shielding you and the ink hand going straight at Ace. The ink spreads into a bigger piece of ink. Ace barely dodges it getting a cut on his head from it. You curl up inside the shielding ink ball covering your ears as you sniffle.

The ink hand goes to attack Ace and Sabo and Luffy go to help him out as more more attacks are launched at them.

You find it hard to breathe as you rock yourself trying to calm down. The ink ball around you gets bigger and bigger as you try to calm down and you can here Luffy, Sabo and Ace shouting from outside.

You see a scary creature you dont know who but he is a couple's feet from you inside the ink ball. He has red eyes and a wide open jaw. He walks towards you as you stumble backwards and try to run.

The man comes close enough he grabs your face as he looks you dead in the eye.

A hole appears in the ink ball around you and you see Sabo, Luffy and Ace trying to dodge the ink attacks as they get several cuts.

"You see that. Look at what you done. They might as well leave you dead after this. Maybe even it was all a game to them a simple item to entertain them and you were a fool to believe them as your friends"

"No! I'm sorry! I don’t want this to happen" You screamed but was muffled by the illusion person.

The monster looks you dead in the eyes, giving a look that can kill. When you felt that you were about to pass out the creatures suddenly drops you.

You pant heavily as you look around the black void that is slowly retreating back to you.

The Ink fully disappears around you as you stand up, tears gathering in your eyes threatening to fall.

You look up to see the three boys looking back at you slightly injured. You lower your head as you step on your heels and run into the forest ignoring the shouts from the boys behind you telling you to wait.

They probably were scared of you. Is the look in their eyes hatred, disgust. This was too much much for your young mind to understand.

You sat under a tree as you tried to keep composure. You didn't know what to do, they were the only people you knew....and cared about. You were just about hopeless without them.

Thoughts and ideas invaded your mind as you think about what happened and what will happen. Were they just using you...would they stay away from you...wish they never met you?

Your lips trembled you let small tears fall down your face onto the grass. Your throat started to burn and your heart started feeling tight in your chest. You didn't know why you had other reasons to cry about but this reason hit you right in the heart almost like you couldn't breath. Is this what people called an "Anxiety Attack"

You curled up into a ball as you stared to cry begging who ever to help you.

With Ace,Sabo and Luffy

The sun was starting to set and Ace, Sabo and Luffy were returning home. Luffy was sad that you were gone and Sabo had tried to reassure him, while at the same time he was trying to talk some sense into Ace.

"Ace... Don't you think you went too far?" the blond asked him.

In front of him, Ace clenched his fists.

"Ace! Ace!" Sabo called him, annoyed.

"Answer me!"

"Shut up! Stop making me feel more guilty than I already do!" Ace exclaimed, suddenly turning to look at him.

Sabo and Luffy stopped in their tracks, taken aback.

"Well, then you should have not made her cry and scared like that!" Sabo retorted, angry at what had happened. "Y/n is not weaker than us and you need to stop treating her like she is. Why did you act like that?"

"I was stupid, you're right okay? I didn't...want that to happen" Ace continued, letting out a sigh and lowering his gaze to the ground.

"I didn't want to say those words and to her and make her feel scared..... I want all of us to realize our dream and i want to see her become a pirate. But i just want her to know how to protect herself when she's has to come to decisions where life turns on you I know she strong but I know you and Luffy are good at fighting, but... I don't know, it's just that when it comes to her i'm always afraid that something will happen to her and-"

"You become more protective" Sabo interrupted.

"We understood that you love her more than us. I might get offended by this, you know?"

"I don't love her more than you! She's like my sister and I worry about her, that's all!"

"Sure, if you say so"

"Sabo!"

After a little while later, they reach the treehouse.

"Y/N is probably in the our treehouse!" Luffy exclaimed.

"I hope so let's checks" Sabo says as he started climbing his way to the tree house.

"Ya,I hope..I have to apologize" Ace mumbles as he begins climbing towards the treehouse.

Luffy climbed up to the treehouse looking around.

"I cant find her!" Luffy shrugged as checked every place in the place you could be.

"Then where could she be?" Sabo asked as he looked aswell.

"She wouldn't be at the hags place when she's upset..maybe she is with Makino" Ace says as he waste no time climbing down the tree and running towards the village, Luffy and Sabo barely catching up.

“Makino!” All the boys shout as they run into the bar.

“Hm? Yes, do you guys need something?” Makino questioned as she turned around, drying a beer glass in hand.

“Have you seen Y/N!” They all asked.

“No, I haven’t seen her today. Aren’t you four always together?” Makino asked.

“Ya but something happened.” Sabo says.

"I don't know" Luffy says swinging from a tree branch tiredly.

"I guess we should just sleep for now, she'll probably come around sooner or later." Ace recommends.

"I guess that okay" Sabo confirm as all three of the boys went into their treehouse and slept well not as peacefully with you on their mind missing, except Luffy you didn't mind.

You finished with your meltdown, and without even knowing till now you were scratching your palms so hard that they bled. You didn't even feel it!

It was late during the night when your gaze meets the treehouse where you and your "friends" slept in and played in. You don't even know if you should call them that anymore.

You decide that you would sit in the treehouse and just soak in the familiar feelings. You didn't know what do before they woke up, would you run away, join the Blue Jam pirates, even just leave they entire island, those were crazy, but what else could you do, you're a lonely young child who has no power to change the world to what they believe is right.

You climbed up the treehouse and watched all three of the young boys fast asleep. It made you smile a bit. You went to the window and leaned near it, looking at the trees sway in the wind.

It been quite for a while here, the blood on your hands weren't bleeding as much now, thoughts ran through your head but you stayed quite and calm.

"Y/N?"

You heard from behind you. You wipped your head around startled by the sudden voice.

You saw it was Ace. He was standing near his futon, his hair quite ruffled up from his sleep.

You turned your head back to the window hoping that he would just go back to sleep and imagine that this was a dream. Of course not, nothing goes your way, he came next to you as you kept looking out the window avoiding his gaze.

"Where were you all this time!? Why did you suddenly run away like that." Ace whispered shouted. He knew why you ran away like that, He just didn't want to confess it.

You kept silent, your voice stuck in your throat. It was quite for a few minutes until Ace spoke up again.

"I want to say that..I am sorry that I yelled at you like that, made you overexert yourself, made you cry, made you fight me even tho you clearly didn't want to..I'm sorry" Ace sighed the last part as he tried to look for your reaction, fidgeting with his hands.

He didn't know why he was being so...sensitive and sympathetic with you right now if that was even the right word.

Ace view came over to your hands where he saw scratches littering it, some of the scratches bleeding. Without talking he went over to the corner of a treehouse grabbing small bandages and walking back to you. He carefully and gently grabbed your palms so he didn't scare you.

He wrapped bandages around your hands and tightened it when finished so it stayed on. He removed his his own hands away from yours waiting to see if you'll say anything

You looked at your bandages and see how carefully they've been wrapped. One second you were looking at your bandages and the next you were hugging Ace tightly. You and Ace were surprised, why did you hug him so suddenly, was it because you felt it was right?

You didn't know but you just stayed there hugging Ace, while he softly hugged back flustered, like a lot. It wasn't until a slight diffrent emotion crossed his face as he heard small sniffles. When he felt his shirt where your face was getting wet by specifically tears he worried and may have been a bit dramatic.

"H-hey! Why're you crying! Stop crying!" He whisper shout harshly as he waves his hand around.

You stopped your crying as you just hugged Ace, finally speaking up.

"I was scared... that you'll guy's will hate me...or something like that" You murmured.

You couldn't see his face at the moment, but Ace was dumbfounded and a big sense of guilt washed over him. No..how could anyone hate you, you are amazing, beautiful, and strong...You’re the one who is suppose to hate them, not the other way around.

"I'm sorry for saying those things—I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I just worry about you a lot, even though I know you're fully capable of handling yourself. You're not weak, alright? I believe you have everything it takes to become a great pirate!" Ace shouted but nothing too loudly to wake up Luffy and Sabo but enough to get it through your head.

You moved your head to look at Ace, wide-eyed by his response. He did care. You smiled softly at him.

"Thank you Ace"

Sabo and Luffy woke up early in the morning.

"AH that was a great slee!-" Luffy shouted until his voice was muffled by Sabo as he slaped his hand over Luffy's mouth.

"Sabo!" Luffy tried to form to Sabo.

"Shhh" Sabo shushed Luffy as he pointed to a wall under the window in the treehouse where you and Ace both leaned on eachother for support; fast asleep.

"Y/N BAC!-" Luffy tried to exclaim.

"Shh"

"Oh okay, shhh" Luffy nodded, putting his pointer finger to his mouth in a "silent" formation.

Sabo went over to you and Ace where he grabbed two blankets and covered you and Ace separately, daring not to wake you both up.

Luffy and Sabo quietly left the treehouse leaving Ace and you in a quiet and calm sleep.

SO. im sorry ahead of time that this will get longwinded and probably not gonna make a lot of sense but i have A LOT of thoughts regarding this whole situation

so this has been a very common thing to discuss in my dms ever since the shades of the best friends betrayal started when trent and oc entered into the tag team tournament (also shoutout to bugs for dealing with my shit constantly cause i know i can be unhinged ough), and what we dubbed as savior!kip has become a very intense hope in this storyline so... yeah ive been thinking about this possibility a lot ngl

im gonna put the rest of this under the cut cause lmao yeah. im gonna go off the rails

i wanna start this by saying that while i do want chuck to come back, im specifically hoping that he'll come back to team with trent again and to torment oc, that all of this has been one big ruse to see if oc really is their best friend or not (spoilers: hes not. trent is right about everything he said dont @ me). and oc is slowly starting to lack friends; seeing how things are going, things with kris arent that great. shibata and hook have their hands full with so many other things. rocky is obviously siding with trent, even if he doesnt say it directly out loud but roppongi vice forever basically, and the rest of chaos is mostly in japan (and okada is evil now so...). danhausen basically doesnt exist anymore. everyone oc has had around him has slowly disappeared, for one reason or another

so where does that leave us, exactly? you turn to the other side (or more in this case, the other side turns towards you to help out)

kip has been critical on twitter about the don callis family, and basically saying he would never join them due to disrespect from don. and we all know how much kip loves and cares about oc (i dont have to proof this to you you have seen all the sweet tweets and other stuff. this man used to use the kissy face emoji frequently while tweeting at or about oc come on now), so seeing these two words colliding would probably not sit very well with him, i'd imagine. while someone could argue that kip has lost interest in oc since he has dropped the title and thats all that was ever about...

first of all, the "sweet little clementine" nickname has been used multiple times throughout the timeline. this wasnt just a mind game trick to get into ocs head during the title feud, it was in there way way before that ever happened (i believe we are talking about full gear 2020 if i recall my timelines right [its around 3 hours and 9 minutes]); he has always been affectionate about oc in a really weird way (hes british tho so thats probably why). second, how many times has kip been after anyone else between ocs title reigns and after? exactly zero. when mox and fenix were champs, he didnt say a peep (he did, whoever, put out my favorite tweet of all time when oc lost the title to mox). after oc gained the title, he started tweeting again about it. and again when oc lost it, not a word. kip hasnt said anything about the international title or rodney since then; the only time he did post, he told rodney to fuck off cause clementine was his. and since then? kip has been keeping an eye on the best friends feud so... do whatever you wish with that information (1, 2, 3)

the point is, the obsession was NOT with the title; hes just always been affectionate about and towards oc, but in a really weird and obsessive, kind of a destructive way

why is this necessary to bring up? well...

do you really think he would stand idly to the side to watch oc align himself with someone like don callis when all his other friends have abandoned him, all these things considered?

throughout this entire time, kip never gave up (im aware this is technically non-canon as this is a quote from stream but. if you know their history over on twitch, it counts. the feud bled over there during its prime too). yes this technically had everything to do with him tearing ocs friends away from him when this was posted, but.. dont you think its fitting tho? considering the situation oc is in now? and while yes it might seem that kip is taking the side of trent in this whole thing, this was specifically before don callis inserted himself into the situation by whispering whatever the hell into ocs ear

and what better time and way for kip to insert himself back into ocs life as the one person he can still rely on than right here and right now, when oc is so desperate for a connection and friendship that he'll take don callis of all people?

if we want to dig more into my personal observations, kip has never felt as respected or perceived as he did/does when hes across the ring from oc. this feud was the highlight of his career since the comeback (and arguably, his [and miros] feud with the best friends ending with arcade anarchy was the other, so these two have always been connected more or less), its the one thing people keep talking about in reference to him apart from the box; how he should have been the one taking the title from him, how kip should have been elevated from that point forward too. how people talk about him almost only when he has faced oc in the ring afterwards (which has been at least three times if i recall right from the top of my head) or had a chance to challenge again for that title before oc lost it entirely

so what is the conclusion i wanna draw from this? kip keeps bringing him up. he keeps on leeching on him. he wants that attention off of oc, but also from oc. and what better way to do that than to now befriend him, show him support, be there for him when everyone else has abandoned him?

except its not entirely malicious. it might start as such, but its definitely mutually beneficial, more so than intended; sure maybe kip takes the chance to get to oc when hes down and vulnerable, but theres also that high chance that he'll see he can actually help. kip can help pull oc back up and help rebuild him. kip can be useful and important in this equation too, not just oc (which.. its gonna show kips true colors tbh. considering how kip treats oc as a whole, but he was taking trents side earlier about everything when best friends broke apart so...)

i think this is enough of me rambling, so im gonna get to the point of the ask lmao; but yeah, while i'd love for chuck to come back, i dont think he needs to be the one to uncorrupt oc from under kips spell. cause there wont be a spell to begin with. while yes it might start more or less as a corrupting relationship if they got to tag together with oc, i dont think ultimately it would be harmful to him. just like kip would be there to be supportive of oc, eventually he would return the favor by helping kip flourish, like he has done more indirectly in the past. they are mutually beneficial to one another, for better or worse maybe, but its not going to lead oc down a dark path in my opinion. if anything, oc is uncorruptable at this point (especially without the belt but i feel like that story has completely died by now with roddy holding the title so im not going to touch that rn), and him getting love and support from someone genuine, although surprising in this case, it would just make him more likely to return that favor than to turn against it. what i mean is, oc would be the one to uncorrupt kip, if anything

did you know the images for the dishes in the vignettes are NOT the same ones in the culinary crucible the way i took a long look at the dish of the same name but wasnt the same image when doing like idia and ace's apprentice chef vignettes anyway i got the images from mysteryshoptranslations (i sent them an ask awhile back and they said its fine to use the images no credit necessary, they only want credit for translations) cause they have translations of vignettes which also include pop ins of assets. the way i heard the music change and immediately thought ortho which crazy that the music is so distinct that you can get a good idea of which dorm mystery person is from without like basing it off of voice first (like in birthday vignettes where you get the ??? and their voice before its revealed who they are) idk why i thought ortho tho he cant eat i think idia mentioned wanting to make ortho able to eat in the glomas event, like the grapes but also i was reading that event at the same time as like terror is trending where magicam monsters were trying to shove food into his mouth so now i associate it with bad for ortho 😭

I must say that best was panic in between hairballs after louis' mexico concert. I know it maybe wasnt 70k people on the end (32k is still massive in my opinion) but how they were stressed that louis can have this big audition ( it was really near to harrys numbers, and they live in their own fantasy that harry is something better than others) , they spreaded lies about people going random around and whatever they could think right from their ass. Even if all these people on videos were AI it worth it....and dont take me wrong im very proud of harry and his succes, it is only about this type of his "fans"

but yes, I don’t think he’s very proud of the way his fans treat people. There are a lot of them that are great, don’t get me wrong, one of my best friends (who also works in the industry) is a MAJOR harrie. like… followed him around AU & NZ to go to all of his shows etc. (respectfully like not camping out his hotel just going to the shows), and she’s also an anti. but she does not say a single disrespectful thing about Louis and has seen all harry, louis, and niall’s solo shows. she’s a stan, but has really stayed away from the toxicity. it’s possible to be a fucking beautiful and lovely human while also being a solo harrie, but fuck, so many people are so far from it.

and twitter is a major factor for that. back in the day, whatever we wrote on twitter, we risked the boys seeing it, so even when things got heated, we kept in mind they could reply to us at any time and call us out if necessary. hence why all the chaos was on tumblr.

but the boys did in fact see so much and respond to so much - we used twitter to tweet at them more than each other. but now, it’s a vacuum hellscape and FULL of bots, folks who shouldn’t be allowed in any fandom, and politics. it’s icky. and that change, obviously came with the way Twitter started being used for marketing purposes only, and an influx of solos when 1d went on hiatus. instead of waiting for the boys to jump online and start a twitcam, or fighting the beliebers, all we get now is promo, or a half hearted q&a which is usually just to push a stunt, and our for you pages just don’t align with what we want to see. Everything is an argument.

But my point is that, while they probably do take a solid amount of time off Twitter because it is such a hellscape, they would check, and be told by their pr coordinators, as to what’s going on. harry would see his fandom fucking creating hurt and chaos and divide, and his response has been ‘treat people with kindness’, which is as diplomatic as he can be without causing more chaos. But those fans just… ignore that. And half the time they don’t even treat HIM with kindness, is the most embarrassing fandom I’ve ever seen.

Every fan in the 1d days had their fave boy, and it was NOTHING like this. I didn’t yell at someone who loved zayn because I loved niall, we were just all there together, fucking supporting these terrible, terrible dancers as a team. sorry but fandoms just don’t have the same community vibe they used to. The only consistently loving and supportive and sweet people I’ve seen throughout all these years are larries (I’m sure there are a couple instigators, but overall).

okay so ive watched jude play this entire season and this is what ive got to say.

Jude is an all round midfielder, there isnt much that he lack in within his play. Most games where people say oh he ghosted, hes done much more defensive work and people never see that cuz unless he scores or assist, nothing else matters apparently.

jude played deeper in dortmund, that role changed when he got to madrid. obvs we were lacking a number 9 and jude naturally took up that spot- hence him scoring so many goals in the first half of the season.

when the second half of the season began, ancelloti moved him more to a left midfield position, just somewhere behind vini and therefore he assisted alot more in the second half of the season- and this is when people starting jumping on the jude hate train saying hes not good anymore cuz he wasnt scoring much.

again, during the later ucl matches, he moved from his false 9 position and was asked by ancelloti to do more defensive work. that why he hasnt scored in the later ucl matches. obvs when you come in the later stages of the ucl, you face tougher teams and therefore need more support defensively.

now as for his performances in england, i have to put it down as southgate being a dimwit. when the squad list was announced for england, jude was put down as a foward. he is a midfielder. sure southgate couldve made him into a CAM but no he put him in a centre foward position, which is just wrong to me cuz why would he try and box him into something hes not a natural too, ive seen a lot of times during the england matches where he was caught in a winger position, and yes he managed them well but he is not a natural winger, southgate you moron get someone who actually plays that position to cover that space.

i think jude's had to adapt to this new style of play under souhgate. the reason why jude flourished so much at madrid was because ancelloti gave him the freedom to play as he wanted (to an extent obvs). this just meant that when jude knew he had the space to attack he could and when he needed to go deep and defend he could. again this comes down to him being an all round midfielder. what southgate has done has limited jude. he is only allowed to stay higher up on the pitch. and instead you have a striker harry kane going in deep everytime england have needed support defensively, that is what jude should be doing!!!! versitility.....

the only way jude would flourish under southgate is if he played him as a CM and allowed him to roam free, create chances but also defend when necessary- that is when jude is most lethal. jude has a very high game iq and vison and southgate is just not utilising anything

Reading your tags about how people miss the very obvious "there's some fucked up shit boiling underneath" regarding Otto, just gave me a sudden realization. Otto is the only character I know in fiction where they act all innocent and drive up the "clumsy", "just in the side-lines" and "straight-man (heh)" persona. When. Like no one's in the EMT camp is buying it. They know he's way more capable than he let's on. Meanwhile, the tomfoolery is completely brought on by the Western audience.

Like Otto is failing miserably to make other characters believe that he's not up to mischief, Roswaal even thinks it can bring his downfall. But the audience, who even sometimes *sees* his fucked up thought process, is buying it.

no u bring up so many good points bc ive been really thinking about this for a while T^T its such an interesting phenomenon in the difference in perception otto has between the japanese speaking half of the fandom vs the english speaking half which can be explained by—yeah. media illiteracy mainly. im also putting my head in my hands anon T^T

because—okay sorry wkdndn im gonna get into meta again but hear me out bc this pattern of the fandom underestimating otto is interesting bc i kind of sort of i cracked the code maybe??? o.o i think the nature of otto is a character is that youre SUPPOSED to underestimate him at first, just like what happens sometimes in universe. i mean wayyy back then i definitely wasnt expecting him to get more depth added to him in arc 4–which was a pleasant surprise—which is also the reaction the vast majority of people have to reading/watching arc 4, along with the other vast majority reaction which is being a bit endeared to ottosubas friendship and respecting otto for being a good friend. and then its easy to underestimate otto bc of 1. all the chaos going on in rezero at any given moment and 2. hes almost always overshadowed by other characters doing worse shit or being more insane than he is and 3. otto of course damn well knows hes easy to underestimate and counts on that. thats what he did against roswaal in arc 4. plus—i mean even aesthetics-wise hes 100% DESIGNED to be easy to underestimate. his outfit and physical features make him look either friendly or frazzled or soft. so i think that the point is that we were supposed to be kind of fooled—at first.

because yeah, we��re endeared to otto. we respect him for helping subaru the way he did. we think that hes a nice person and we now support his actions especially after feeling sympathetic towards him after learning his backstory. (or at least the average audience member will think this wjdndn.) but like—you dont even NEED to look at any side content at all for it to dawn on you that theres something Wrong. with him. like all you need is main route arcs 3-8 aka ottos entire screentime thus far, because at arc 4 its so easy to overlook otto unless youre thinking a bit deeper (for example—he gets violent with subaru. like yeah its entertaining, its played for laughs a bit, yeah subaru needed to be snapped out of his own head, but was it 100% necessary??? why did otto have this response??? bc if you just look at the main timeline otto really decided to beat up subaru first. and bc this tendency is now Less Funny in arc 8).

but even if youre just looking at rezero face value, when you get to arc 5 its starting to get even more clear that ottos weird in the head. like we already saw him being very good at scheming and planning in arc 4–in arc 5, we find out about otto hiding the tome for a year. we find out WHY hes been hiding the tome for a year. the tome then leads the witch cult into priestella, so like—in the sense, otto is RESPONSIBLE for arc 5. but theres STILL a tendency sometimes for the audience to continue underestimating him even though by this point we’re getting more clues and many characters around otto, like you said anon, KNOW hes very capable. i keep wondering why this is, but arc 5 is, again, FULL of chaos and different storylines happening at once, so its so easy to almost kind of forget otto there in the background until he occasionally pops up again. plus otto serves an additional role as comedic relief sometimes—he spends all of arc 5 being bitchy and whiny (i say this affectionately HAH) about his camp being full of disasters, for example, so i think the natural response from the audience tends to be “aw otto!! what a silly guy!!” sometimes. you know? so its like. i think at this point some people tend to be like “yeah fair that otto was wary of roswaal and thats why he saved the tome…. anyway ooooh whats going on with these other plot points” wobsbss. its so fascinating bc—ok this might be my own personal experience but anyone reading this pls tell me if you agree or not—i dont think ive seen a lot of people actually even MENTION otto bringing the tome into priestella attracting witch cultists. and the english speaking fandom LOVES to go into certain characters’ wrongdoings so why gloss over otto????

the only explanation i have for this is that from arcs 3-4 underestimating otto is. kind of the point of his character UNTIL you get to arc 5 and the clues in the main story start seeping in even more. and also the western audience DOES have media illiteracy a lot. theres that too. just look at rezero content on youtube or reddit or fanfic sites or other things of that sort T^T but no yeah i think ottos nature as a character exacerbates it. youre supposed to start asking questions about him. youre supposed to start connecting the dots and then SUDDENLY its now EXTREMELY obvious in arc 7-8 and even while theres so much chaos going on its basically shoved in your face. arc 7-8 is just delivering on all the leadup that was arcs 3-5.

and i think that youve gotta be media illiterate for sure to NOT get that otto is not squeaky clean and innocent BY ARC 8. i think that ottos the deconstruction of the loyal best friend trope, and also a mirror into what subaru couldve been like if he decided to be more ruthless instead of jumping right to forgiveness and saving everyone, except sometimes that flies right over the audience’s head wkdndnd. it confuses me bc ive seen some people completely miss the point or completely agree with otto and overlook the Bad Parts of it or, you know, STILL think ottos perfectly sane—like T^T please.

and yeah so back to what you said about otto Not being underestimated In Universe—its such an interesting detail bc hes ALWAYS been simultaneously pathetic and Very Competent wjdndnd. but yeah no all of his friends have seen various hints and clues and evidence of what hes capable of. like even though he hid the tome from them successfully and even though hes hiding info now its INEVITABLE that its gonna blow up in his face one day. like you got characters like garfiel who literally saw otto punch the wall and break his hand in an unhinged fit of rage, julius who got snapped at by otto and while julius is a Bit naive definitely knows somethings off there, anastasia whos smart as hell and definitely knows not to underestimate otto, and roswaal who, like you said anon, literally went out of his way to stop otto from breaking his hand in another unhinged fit of rage and warned otto that he will literally be destroying himself if he keeps going on like this. its this fascinating dichotomy bc otto is NOT fooling anyone around him but at the same time his current schemes are mostly unnoticed—for now—which yeah i havent seen that in a lot of media!!! its an interesting balancing act bc people around him realistically know hes competent after seeing the Proof of that for the past couple arcs, but otto is still finding ways to try and Win…

which—again, the anger and violence is an extension of arc 4 otto!! this is the same guy!! hes always been like this!! ottos kind of stayed the same, deep down, this whole time and as an audience its ONLY shoved in our face with a big gigantic spotlight on it FOUR ARCS LATER, but it was hinted to all this time. and like you said anon—we LITERALLY see ottos fucked up thought processes. literally what sane person thinks any of that shit. its spelled right out for the reader HAH T^T which—yeah. media illiteracy…. and also this whole ask was a longer way of just saying that otto is VERY easy to see at surface level if youre media illiterate. but at the same time it should be very easy to figure out otto is A Bit Fucked Up bc tappei underlines it in bright red print!!! i think people sometimes just hang onto soft awkward silly otto and forget about the rest T^T either that or they dont think he cares about subaru at all. which. that phenomenon of thinking characters that do care about subaru Dont Care is also interesting to me bc why????? we’re at arc 8 and you STILL dont get it??? o.ooooo

but yeah apart from that….. i said this earlier but yeah sometimes some people agree with ottos realism in arc 8 which is. understandable, but the whole point is that he is EXTREME. with it. hes Not in the right here, but the same crowd that wants wanton revenge in rezero is gonna agree with that kind of stuff T^T ottos been lurking in the background so much so that tappei made it meta by doing the whole “walking in darkness” part of his character, so i guess people just. dont see ottos ACTUAL worst traits and instead think he would ditch subaru at the first opportunity or something. but at the point we are now, arc 8 ottos problem isnt that hed ditch subaru. his problem is that he would sacrifice the world for subaru. his problem is that he gets extremely angry at subaru for trying to do good. his problem is that hes trying to micromanage everything around him and is willing to sacrifice anything necessary to get what he wants. but sometimes people dont get that bc otto doesnt look sound or seem like a character thatd do that. the Underestimation part of his character is doing too well on. certain audiences. please T^T the soft and awkward and silly parts ARE part of his character just like all the Darker parts are!!!

additionally im also wondering if western audience perception of otto is also clouded by the fact that otto looks and sounds more feminine / androgynous and he doesnt have the appeal of Overt Power either……. he cant Really be waifu-ified… and he cant be used as a weird self insert like subaru…. and you Have to look at him closer to understand him…. and for some reason people dont tend to hate on him so aggressively, if anything people cant even see his actual canonical flaws half the time wkdndn so if youre not paying attention otto CANT be aggressively hated on bc theres nothing there if ur not looking at it….. and if youre not paying attention otto seems more “boring” compared to the others…… (not that people arent allowed to not have otto as a favorite character bc thats totally fair but im talking about the tendency to think hes Saner than he actually is.) but yeah these are just my guesses. i have no clue the western fandom is a little T^T some people unfortunately cannot read.

anyway. big thank you to the japanese fanbase for understanding ottos character more and making so much wonderful fancontent for him T^T also i think that we as a collective fanbase should stop underestimating otto in general bc its exactly what he wouldnt want and i think itd be really hilarious. <3333 make him explode with rage please

hbo tlou spoilers (and the game too) just rambling to myself bc i gotta get these thoughts out of my head

feeling.. conflicted about that episode still. wasnt gonna say anything but im a little bit nervous about how joel and ellie are being handled at this point just like overall

ellie to a lesser extent i just feel like shes a little.. one note almost (they gave her the joke book and she had some nice moments with sam at least). theyre just playing so hard into the spitfire side of her but game ellie was way sweeter and kinder than i think people remember? when i started my re-playthrough even i forgot how like.. chill she was honestly. a lot of her anger was reactionary/in defense and not always just immediately antagonistic. hbo ellie needs more softness to her its starting to annoy me a bit how just outright hostile she is to literally everyone

but in joels case.. the changes they made this episode honestly i feel were detrimental to his character development. they make it seem like joel asking tommy to take ellie is more about the fact that hes aging and hes afraid hes going to get ellie killed, so he needs tommy to take her because he has a greater chance of making it back. and they side step a bit the selfishness of joels request. when in the game it was SOLEY about joels selfishness and how he could tell he was starting to feel protective of/close to ellie and wanted to stop that shit immediately by passing her off to tommy so he could just wash his hands of the whole thing (which would also put tommy at risk and maria chews him out for it (which i wouldve liked to have seen in the show but alas...)). and the argument he and ellie get into (after she runs away!!) is supposed to be the culmination of those feelings and how hes pushing her away and hes afraid of being a dad again (im NOT your dad. and we are going our separate ways). but ultimately chooses to stay with ellie and that choice is SO IMPORTANT!! and now in the show its like... ok so... now youre Not afraid of.. getting her killed? because you STILL have a bad ear and ptsd? (that he wouldve had for a while anyway so honestly its a little funny theyre playing it up so hard all of a sudden him clutching at his chest all the time is just kinda funny to me again where is the subtlety i dont see it). and like with this change it makes their argument (and their reconciliation) less powerful honestly to me at least. that argument they have is seared into my brain its still one of my favorite scenes but i just wasnt feeling it as much with this different set up of events (and also imo the game still has the better actor performances PLEASE watch those scenes if you havent)

and this side stepping of joels selfishness as a character is honestly a problem for me. and im afraid what it might mean for future episodes. because joels selfishness is very integral to his character. knowing what i do about whats coming down the line, and how theyve been talking about the “cure” so far, im so 😬 just clenching my teeth so hard. because they just... keep saying every once in a while that “there can never be a cure making a cure would be hard how would you even manufacture and distribute it?” (squinting REAL HARD AT THAT LAST ONE!!) and im soooo nervous that they might downplay just how much of a selfish asshole joel is and how they might try to make his future actions less terrible.... or justify them in some way..... or something equivalent to downplaying what happens..... 

i mentioned it a while ago but these are arguments the fans have been having since summer 2013 but what annoys me about it is that none of it even matters!!! because the Only thing that matters is joels selfish choice. not whether hes right or wrong. the ambiguity is the whole point!! the selfishness is the whole point!! joel doesnt care and hes gonna do whatever he thinks is necessary regardless of the repercussions. and i am just so afraid theyre gonna undercut that. I HOPE THEY DONT IM CROSSING MY FINGERS SO HARD THAT THEY DONT WE CAN CELEBRATE IF THEY DONT but sometimes people are afraid to let their characters be shitty and have flaws and act selfishly and joel is a bit of a controversial character already. i hope they dont try to make him/his actions more “acceptable” somehow. i LIKE that hes like this it makes him INTERESTING

but yeah the rest of the episode was fine i guess. loved seeing jackson. oh but i will say that the end of the episode felt so uneventful to me which is hilarious based off of what happens, but the way things play out in the game is SO TENSE and drawn out that in comparison was just really weak in the show unfortunately. im sure it was a “for time” reason and like it still gets the idea across but again just more reason for me to stand by the game still being The True Last of Us Experience. looking forward to the left behind episode tho i am so excited to see my girl riley again 💔

Why is there an outfit of the absolute in a tollhouse room that seemingly hasnt been opened since the shadow curse? The room with the barred door, that you enter from above, with the super convenient secret door out to the street. Is it an error, or was the absolute around and into fashion 100 years prior? And how old is Halsin still?

So the beach fight was actually really fun, havent had that kind of a crowd control challenge before. I actually failed the first time round, only made it to round three. It took a wall of fire, multiple glyphs of warding and 2x turn undead. Discovered that the fire only lasts a couple rounds and then it turns to fire ground only which was bit weird? And then Wyll died walking over it for idk what reason, after ddciding to run through the wall earlier for some reason. Didnt save him in time and had to ressurect.

I respecced him as a paladin cause I struggle with warlock. He only has one channel oath charge at time? At level 8?? My usual team is my bard, karlach, astarion and shadowheart, and after the first attempt i swapped astarion for wyll, but he didnt do that much. Did smite sone wraiths, that was very useful, I just thought hed have nore turning undead, maybe more area of effect stuff. As it was, shadowheart and bard carried most of the battle and the others picked up the pieces. Necessary support. Idk I just expected more from Wyll I guess?

Super cool fight though. first wall of fire, glyph of warding, and guardian of faith. The guardian looked super cool, unfortunately disappeared the turn before it was needed, because I cast it pre-battle and the Halsin conversation took a few turns/wasnt in turn-based mode. I wonder if i started the conversation, switched to shadowheart in turn based, went back to the conversation if that would work.

Also tried the thing of throwing a healing potion at someone, it never works for me. It just destroys the potion, idk what im doing wrong.

And then shadowheart and karlach were silenced fighting the tollkeeper, for some reason it still thinks karlach is silenced even q long rest later. Ill see if thats still happening when I boot up my game again.

I really like the little area under the tollhouse basement. I wish there was more to explore there, but. Little secret romantic hideout. Who was down there anyway? During the shadow curse? They seemed peaceful. I dont mind skeletons as that kind of environmental story telling. I just find the piles of bones and stacks of shrouded corpses and random dismembered limbs to be no thank you.

I also didnt kill the devil so astarions big mad at me now. Offered my neck up but i forgot to check if its improved his opinion of me. Need my sneaky rogue man! I just dont at all like or trust Raphael. Creepy man. Offered me food that was definitely suspicious.

I started watching someone stream the game, totally new to dnd, so its interesting watching what they do and dont pick up on compared to like, eg I started off knowing to look for a dash option, and about spell slots, and im familiar at least passongly with a majority of spells and feats and things. It is starting to give me that experience of "no one understand my fave like I do", also looking on ao3 for karlach. Its a looot of "tall demon bondage mommy lady" and thats just not her personality at all, shes incredibly sweet and genuine and free spirited and also vulnerable and new to being around people she cares about, to trusting. Shes not a practised dominatrix. Maybe I should also look for lower rated fics and see what comes up too 😂.

Also the funniest thing happened in the tollhouse fight. I had asterion pickpocket the tollkeeper so he had her key. We're in combat, Karlach happens to run past the safe, I get the magic pockets pop up and suddenly Karlach is running on the attack encumbered! So I pull up the inventory, send the chest to camp, and she keeps running. All in six seconds! 😂😂

And I forgot to check what was in the chest!! Ill have to do that, lets be real, probably tomorrow. And then as long as there isnt more to do on the Thaniel quest immediately, on to moonrise towers! And a level up. Hopefully. Im eyeing it. Collecting fifth level spell scrolls, want to learn em already 👀. Gimme those cool spells!

e3: -"i am perfect 🥰" fuck u know what sometimes the charles leclerc charm does get to me ngl -"breaking america is very important" OH IS IT. let andretti join then -i'll say it. miami isn't that bad. you can critisize the consumerism of it all without being so anti-america yall -fuck caitlyn jenner but her gushing to christian horner abt how great it is that ferrari is winning is iconic -i did watch this season but i did after the fact /knowing/ max was gonna win in the end. its sorta hitting me how it did really look like, oh my god, charles could really win here. just lookin at his lil face thinking how much did he get his hopes up. how much did i hurt, watching it slip away. how do u even handle that emotionally -i know i've talked abt this before but when i was binging the 2022 season i got super drunk before/while watching miami and when i woke up in the morning i remembered basically nothing other than carlos taking his shirt off (priorities). i watched the race highlights sober and was surprised by the lando crash. lol -if anything this rewatch is putting me back in my max girlie era. chomp chomp chomp. and/or i'm ovulating. combination of both -cannot wait for padel game 2023 edition on dts. it will be superior i know it -i do think its wierd that theyre framing (trying to) prioritize charles as a mean thing to do when its exactly what merc did in 2021 for lewis and it was 100% necessary both times. the guy who said 'ferrari won with the wrong car' wasnt wrong thats just how this shit works!!! -idk why dts couldn't just explain that max has non terminal but non fixable damage and thats why he was so damn slow. i feel like it wouldve been so easy to just mention. give context to why he couldnt get back up there -i dont think having multiple episodes focus on the same race from different perspectives is the worst thing ever, but i do think they fucked it up here by having the silverstone episodes back 2 back 2 back...... at least mix it up a lil. put another episode inbetween so we've forgotten by the time its being rehashed is it rly that hard

"Why show up to the party just to leave?" Ryland asks as he walks xloser to vincent

"Decided last minute that i shouldnt have shown up." Vincent said as he stood near the gate

"I dont really see a reason why i should be here. No one. Even wants me to be here" vincent says emphasizing 'no one' as he proceeds to walk closer the the gate, but was stopped by ryland who now held his wrist

"Who." Ryland asks

"What?"

"Who told you, that no one wants you here" ryland says his voice having a cold edge to it, surprising vince

"Ry-" vince now getting closer to ryland trying to calm the other down, ryland on the other hand has other plans he holds vincents hands and he tugs him to his room, giving vincent the option to free himself any time he deems necessary to.

But he didnt, and cuz of that ryland calms down even if its only by a bit

As they arrived in his room, ryland locks the door, closes his curtains and opens his lamp light, making vincent see their picture framed and in his desk

"Vince. Please tell me who it was, is it one of my friends? Did they do anything?"

Ryland asked which made vincent think

'ah is that why he was asking me why i wanted to leave, he wasnt asking me to stay... he was worried something happened'

Vincent looks at ryland as the other keeps a worried face and smiles, seeing that ryland fully calmed down

"No one had to say anything, by their faces i could tell they didnt want me here." Vincent says as he squeezes rylands hands (THEIR STILL HOLDING HANDS)

"Then we leave." Ryland says as he stood up and was beginning to tug vincent to be with him

"Ry! Its you and your friends party and your leaving them to go somewhere with me?" (THEIR BOTH TOO SCARED TO ASK THE OTHER IF THEY SHOUDL LABLE THEIR RELATIONSHIP)

"I dont see how that could be bad"

Vincent sighs as he lets Ryland guide him to wherever they were going, after a while of walking they arrive at the park

"Why are there so many people here" vincent asks as he looked around

"I dont know" ryland shrugged as he looks at vincent looking around, he stares as vincent eyes brighten as the other found something he (vincent) liked

"Ry! Lets go! Theres a firework show tonight thats why theres a ton of people!" Vincent said as he tugged ryland to go with him

After running around getting food and drinks and buying a picnic blanket (ryland) they sat down to watch the fireworks show, coincidentally the show started after they sat down

They both just sat there with comfortable silence their hands still intertwined, with ryland taking his eyes of the fireworks to look at vincent whos eyes seem to be getting impossibly bright, he adores vince, so much so that he would give anything to the boy.

'I love him' he thinks

As a big boom went on top of him, he realizes what he just thought of

Seeing Nil's reaction had Flynn feeling all kinds of things. Soft things, warm things, generally proud of himself things. Very few people looked at his abilities kindly. Shadow magic might be limited in Hell, rare in a sense, but it was also nothing special when it came attached to a creature they all thought was an abomination. And so his eyes lit up much like a child, a grin pulling at his lips as he watched Nil's own flames dancing with it, around it. Like they'd always meant to be side by side, playing with one another as though it were all the most natural thing in all the realms.

"Yeah, that's him... He means well." A half one-shoulder shrug was all he gave for now, looking at their joined hands and the way the darkness and flame curled around so perfectly. Nothing more than a thought, and the ribbon was wrapping around their wrists, tying itself with a little bow and bringing a brighter smile to Flynn's lips.

"He's why my eye is this colour. He found out blood could... keep me calm, I guess. Give me better control over myself. He lets me drink from him when things get really bad but... but his never did what... what yours does..." It was strange to think that it was purely because of that that he felt okay now. That blood was the reason his brain had knit itself back together enough to feel like he might be one person and not two. Tongue darting over his bottom lip at the memory of the taste, he sighed softly and turned his head a little to look at Nil properly.

Two people... Two very different sides of the same fight, and Flynn... somehow knew they were both necessary in his life. Both wanted in his life. For different reasons, for similar reasons. And... for once? That didn't tear him apart. There was no fight between Flynn who wanted to be good, and It who wanted the chaos. There was just... him. Him, who looked into those eyes so similar to his own and saw home. But who remembered the look on Ian's face when he saw the cage too, a look that made it immediately clear that he wasnt like the rest of them.

"But right now?" He started softly, "I... don't want to be anywhere else. With anyone else. I... I want to be here." He knew he'd have to go back eventually, if only to stop them hunting Nil down, "With you. In that bathtub. And then in that bed of yours."

A soft gasp left him, eyes glimmering and wide in pure, innocent awe and the pall of pure darkness appeared in Flynn's palm. Because of course he knew what this was, but he'd never once, not ever thought he'd be able to see it. And being able to feel it? What a lovely, perfect little rush it was, feeling the silky smooth touch run across his skin, like a whisper of Flynn's touch. Words like that shouldn't have made any sense--- So much of this, of them shouldn't make any sense but.. But it all just clicked into place so, so well. Hands gently pulled away from the warm, bloody skin to watch the ribbon move, to gaze at it so, so fondly, head tilting.

"The one from... the cafe? From the first moment we met. It's him, isn't it?" He hummed with a soft smile, at the feeling, at that memory. How different Flynn felt between then and now. No more fear. No more splitting or fighting just.. Just Flynn. Nil's left hand rose slowly, cupping the air before, with only a little tilt of his head, his hand erupted in silent flame. But not normal, boring fire. It was almost.. inverted. Darkness that glowed more darkness, but the air still warped around it, icey and hot at the same time. It was hot enough to singe through the flesh of the devil's own son, but here and now it was only so, so gently warm. The flames shifted and spread, intertwining with the ribbon, moving with it rather than suffocating it or burning it away. A few tendrils moved, reaching towards Flynn, like a part of Nil yearned for the other, even just in thought.

"Maybe... maybe he just don't know how to help you. To let your two sides meet..." His head tilted, rested against Flynn's shoulder as he gently linked their hands, the ribbon of flame winding tenderly around both. "Or maybe he just.. can't... like I can. At least..." Lips parted, watching their odd energies meld so, so perfectly, and he couldn't help but smile at the sight. "At least he's trying for you.. I'm glad somebody there is.. Can.. can be there for you somehow when.. when I can't.."
