Lego Batman is just Danny's toys
So! It's a basic AU where Danny is De-Aged and sent to Gotham to be raised by Bruce Wayne. Of course he's still a kid, so he has toys. And his Favorites are Legos.
He takes a bunch of Lego's and makes a mini recreation of Gotham, and then starts playing with a Batman Lego Figure and makes up a bunch of fun adventures for Lego Batman to be in.
Unfortunately, he didn't realize that he was unconsciously infusing his Lego Pieces with Ectoplasm. And he didn't notice when the Pieces started moving and talking on their own.
...
Bruce is...confused.
Originally, he had walked into his youngest son's room to say hi, but when he found the ground littered with all of his toys he decided to help Alfred a little by cleaning it up himself.
But when he picked up the little Batman Figure, it spoke to him.
"Hey! Put me down you inconveniencably gigantic fleshy version of me!" Said a Tiny but gravelly voice.
"Uh, who are you?" Asked Bruce
"Uh, are you blind Giant man? I'm The Batman!!!" Said the mini figure, "Now out me down or I'll use my insane muscles to clobber you!"
"Well this is weird..." Said Bruce, "I should call Constantine, see what he thinks of this."
"I warned you!" Screamed the mini figure, before it karate chopped his Fingers. For some reason it actually hurt a lot, and Bruce dropped the figure.
It then ran away from him, and under the door. "You'll never Catch, THE BATMAN!!!" It shouted as it escaped into the Manor.
This may be a problem...

The Flying Dutchman's Ship Aflame (Eric Rosenberg Design Version)
That painting looks like the one from the refurbishment of Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris, but now it's the Eric Rosenberg Design version of the Flying Dutchman's ship aflame, which could have been used in the 2003 film, "The Haunted Mansion". Unfortunately, the film makers used Jean-François Hue's portrait of "View of Brest Harbor" instead, which turns into C.S.S. Manassas pushing the Fire Barge into the U.S.S. Hartford, as I posted and told you guys about that painting. This, of course, is the portrait of a "Stormy Sky" seascape, according to the website called "Newel Antique".

Ok real question. How would you handle a Phantom Manor adaptation?
With Haunted Mansion having two film adaptations (plus all of the printed media of it), over the years many fans have asked for them to expand by adapting the stories of the other mansions, in this case Phantom Manor. Anyone familiar with PM and its lore is aware that it has a much more specific story whith a darker tone, in contrast to HM’s more lighthearted tone and vauge story. Its a pretty good candidate for a film adaptation, but despite its more explicit story, there are still several routes we could take for the films execution
What do you think would be the best way to go about it. Do you think the film should be just a straight up adaptation of the Manor’s established backstory. Everything from Henry showing up and founding his mining company to Melanie’s tragic story and the house becoming delapadated? Or do you think the movir should be about a living human protagonist who finds their way into the delapadated manor and having to escape the phantom and using the established lore from the ride as a backstory and setup for the plot?
Another thing to take into consideration would be wether to base the film on the ride pre or post refurb. We know if Disney made an official movie, they’d probably base it mostly on the refurb, but I know plenty of people who would rather it be based on the ride before the refurbishment. Me personally, please don’t attack me but I actually don’t mind the refurbishment for the most part. There’s elements I prefer about the refurb at the same time that there are elements I prefer about the ride before 2019. Its complicated but yeah. If it was up to me, the film adaptation would benefit from elements of the ride both pre and post 2019.
Stay with me on this one but I actually think the 2003 Haunted Mansion film has a good amount of elements that would work really well for a Phantom Manor adaptation. Like obviously I’m not including all of the unserious comedy from 2003 HM in order to commit to Phantom Manor’s dark tone, but once you remove that, HM 2003 has lots of things that work in PM’s favor. In a lot of ways, Edward and Elizabeth’s story is very similar to Melanie and Jake’s. Person A is a young wealthy person who is in one way or another the heir of their family estate falls in love with person B, a lower class commoner who works for the family. They get engaged and plan to elope but the person A’s older parental figure doesn’t approve for some reason, so they murder person B, trapping the person A in the manor and their afterlife is tainted by grief, deeming them unable to move on.
Maybe it sounds lazy since it’s already been done, but I would genuinely really like to see a film adaptation where one of the main goals is not only escaping the Phantom but also reuniting Jake and Melanie, lifting the curse from the estate and allowing them to finally move onto the afterlife, similarly to Edward and Elizabeth. It would keep the story’s dark tone, but it would also provide for a well rounded film narrative with a resolution and it would have a happy ending for Melanie and Jake, which they deserve.
What are your thoughts? How would you handle an adaptation for the phantom manor?

Hang on a second, if you're really taking requests atm, then are there any actual rules or conditions that we should be aware of? Do they have to involve certain fandoms and such? And are crossovers also allowed?
I would say my only primary rules are 1) Nothing NSFW or suggestive 2) I won’t take OC requests.
Other than almost anything goes! Crossovers and various fandoms are welcome to request! Of course, I’d prefer if it’s fandoms I know, but I would still say be free to request because the odds are high that even if I’m not in certain fandoms I at least know a good amount. I’ll also list some fandoms I know/a part of in the tags for future reference. Thanks for asking! :D

DPXDC PROMPT : ALFRED IS IMMORTAL
Alright. Don't get me wrong, I love au's where John Constantine is like "soul tax evader supreme", but hear me out.
Alfred.
Alfred, Alfred Pennyworth. Who just doesn't die. The guy's immortal. The reason for this is that Alfred is awesome, so anytime he dies, whether it be from old age or a bullet or a world-wide catastrophe, he looks Death straight in the eyes and tells them that he will die when the day comes that no one needs him anymore, and not a second before, and then he just kinda pops back to life. Because let's face it, the batfam would fall to pieces without him.
So, Alfred Pennyworth has basically just been cheating death for centuries, by this point.
Needless to say, Death is none too pleased. Finally, Death goes to Phantom, the new king, who is much more reasonable than Pariah Dark was and who agrees to actually help.
Clockwork helps Danny set up a portal and he zaps into existence in the middle of a Wayne movie night. The bats are all prepared to fight this mysterious weirdo, but Danny ignores them and turns to Alfred, who he then begins lecturing about ghostly tax evasion and how defying death isn't a good thing, so he needs to file paperwork through the proper channels to stay as an immortal almost-God.
Alfred is chill, he plays cards with Clockwork once when he dies, so he knew this was coming, but the batfamily thinks that this mysterious entity is going to kill Alfred, so they're all panicking, trying to think of ways to avoid this horrible future. Alfred calmly listens to Danny, then he interjects.
"Sir, are you aware of the fact that there is a revenant on earth? One who is most certainly under threat of more paperwork than I, seeing as he has been using the Lazarus Pits to revive himself for millennia. I, however, have only been alive for a few hundred years, so I should think that he is a bigger priority. "
Danny glances over at Jason, doubtful. "He doesn't look several millennia old, Mr. Pennyworth."
"Certainly not, seeing as Master Jason is not. Besides, his Undeath License was filed. I have a copy of it if you need to see it, your Majesty?" Alfred answers, demure as always.
"If it wouldn't be too much trouble, sir."
Alfred leaves and returns, moments later with a light green glowing piece of paper. he hands it over to Danny, who examines it.
"Seems legitimate. I assume you filed it during one of your many encounters with Death?"
"Indeed. I have it on good authority, however, that the other revenant, a man by the name of Ra's Al Ghul, has not renewed his License in at least the last half millennia, most likely longer."
Danny sighs. "Where can I find him."
"Nanda Parbat. The signature is impossible to miss."
"Alright, Mr. Pennyworth. I will return once he is dealt with, be it by filing his paperwork or returning him to the Infinite Realms."
"Very well. I will be ready." Alfred answers.
Danny opens a portal to the area around Nanda Parbat and then another, which plops him down right in front of the Demon's Head himself, in a strategy meeting with his daughter and several commanders.
They all raise their weapons, but he just basically grabs Ra's by the ear and tugs him through a Lazarus Green portal, lecturing him about tax evasion and paperwork and bureaucracy the whole time. The League is thrown into uproar, and Ra's is set down in a room with all his overdue paperwork from the past few thousand years. He feels a little bit like crying; if he had known immortality meant this much paperwork, he would've just died, honestly.
Meanwhile, in Wayne Manor, everyone is crying, because they think Alfred is going to die, Jason is confused about the whole revenant Undeath Certificate thing, Bruce is trying to make contingency plans, Tim is contacting the Justice League, and Alfred is planning out his defense and going through every ghostly law loophole he can think of because if he leaves these emotionally constipated crime-fighting vigilantes, he knows that the house that Martha so loved will go up in flames within a month.
Eventually, Danny comes to get Alfred for his ghostly court trial/hearing or whatever, and Alfred says goodbye to Bruce and everyone, goes to the Infinite Realms. Clockwork is on his side, and Alfred ends up winning the court case, on the condition that now that the has an Undeath License, he actually renew it every twenty years, like he's supposed to.
A week later, Alfred returns, crashes his own funeral, and explains that no, he will not be dying anytime soon.
Two weeks after Alfred's return, Constantine shows up at the manor basically begging to learn how the hell he managed to avoid death, and not only that, win a damn court case against them.

This jewelry collection has been so interesting to watch come to life. At first it started as just a plain winter collection. But one day as I was working on pieces, I decided to put on one of my favorite movies: the 2004 version of the Phantom of the Opera. I realized that the gothic, romantic elements were exactly what I wanted to incorporate into my collection. As I put the rest of the pieces together, I started drawing inspiration from even more films and books that fit the mood I was looking for. Dramatic capes, blood red roses on fresh fallen snow, dark corners, candles burning in a chilly manor, whispers in the night. I started experimenting with electroforming real lace and put a lot of time into making dramatic statement rings fit for some lonely countess. And, finally, I remembered that many years ago I purchased a bag of vintage skeleton keys. That was the missing final touch. Once rusty and forgotten, these keys have now been turned into wearable art. I’m so excited to show you the rest of this collection! Officially I will be releasing it on Sunday. Yes, one more day of delay, but it will be worth it. I promise. 🥀🗡️

Haunting Heroes DPxDC. December 22: Baking
Right before Christmas movie night, the power went out at the Manor. Dick was hysterical. Yeah, Tim's laptop still had enough charge for at least one movie. The real problem was that the Traditional Xmas Bat Cookies weren't ready. And Nightwing wasn't going to accept that they would have to spend that evening eating store-bought ones. Dan adjusts his Santa cap and indignantly hurries the birds and bats. "Leave the poor dough alone. Bruce will soon sort out the breakdown anyway. Go watch the Grinch or I'll turn on Saw and drain your laptop's battery so you'll just be staring at the wall for the rest of the night." Jason, with the confidence of a man who has come up with a brilliant idea, grabs a strand of Phantom’s hair that has escaped from under the red cap and pulls. "You! You are a solution to the problem."
~~~~~ Dan: Auch, I prefer to be part of the problem, thanks. Jason: Come on, take off your sweater and give us some warmth. Dan: First take me on at least one date, brat. Danny: Actually, that's a great idea. You can warm up your core to the desired temperature, right? Just lie there with a sheet of biscuits on your chest for about twenty minutes and Dick will leave you alone. Dan: I refuse to act as an oven! ~~~~~ Also Bruce, who an hour later comes into the kitchen and sees the children sitting in a circle near lying on the floor Dan like a sect: “..You all know that we have a backup energy source, right?” Tim, who is tired of trying to persuade Dan to warm up another cup of coffee: Mother of f..
Things I want in one fic:
Redeemed Vlad, Good Fenton Parents, Fentons/Vlad polycule
Liminal Amity Park
Redeemed Dark Danny, weird cousin?
Ellie as part of the family, sorta step sibling?
Defect quartet
The Class as a team deferring to Team Phantom
Jazz is Big Sister
Amity Park knows the secret
The Class moving to Gotham for college
Vlad giving them enough money to purchase Drake Manor
Tim has closed off the tunnel between the Manor and the Batcave
Tim was the one to hand the keys over to Danny, whose name was on the deed, courtesy of his new step-dad
They end up keeping in touch and Tim is a frequent visitor at the manor and befriends the majority of the Class
They all still keep up with their training, Sam and Valerie put together an obstacle course with the help of the jocks and every Saturday is a free-for-all battle royale with ecto guns set to their lowest setting across all of the grounds.
The last one standing gets to pick what restaurant dinner is from that night and the movie for movie night.
Tim does find all of this rather unusual, but mostly he finds that they remind him of all his hero friends.
This, more than anything else they do, makes him very concerned.
Why do these random midwesterners train like heroes? Why do they have a camaraderie he’s only seen forged on the same battlefield? He’s noticed they mostly defer to a group of five individuals. The pair of siblings who now own the Manor and the partners of one of said siblings. More than that, they all defer to Danny, the one he gave the keys to.
Luckily for him, Two Face happened to attack the bank that Danny was at and Danny did something he’d only ever seen Bruce manage to do and talked the villain down from the attack.
When asked, Dent just said that he saw a kinship in the kid, said he’d understood duality in a way that resonated with him.
Later that night Red Robin reopened the tunnels and paid one Daniel Fenton a visit. Tim found him in his father’s old study, using a brand new telescope through the window. He knocked and waited before entering.
“Ah, I expected one of you to show up. It’s why I decided to stay up tonight actually. We have a lot to talk about if you’ll take a seat? I’ll get us some energy drinks. You’ll be able to confirm they’re sealed and not poisoned that way. What’s your favorite flavor? Between the fifteen of us we’ve got to have the right flavor.”
Red Robin stood there for a moment, processing before following the man to his pantry. Once there he opened a new package of his favorite energy drink and opened it himself; not once did Danny make a fuss about him opening a whole new package. He grabbed a second one to bring with him back to the office. Danny grabbed a couple himself.
Once back in the office, they sat in two chairs across from each other. Danny leaned on his elbows with his fingers steepled. “What I am about to tell you is an incredible risk to everyone in this house, and likely yourself included. I need you to promise me to listen to everything I tell you before you start asking questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability after I have gone over the basics. What I am about to tell you is going to sound unbelievable, but I’m banking on the fact that you have likely frequently experienced impossible things and therefore may take me seriously.” Danny stared at the mask. “Now, what do you know about ghosts?”
Tim’s hair trigger was of disbelief, but then he paused and considered. Clark’s an alien, Diana’s a god, Conner’s a clone, at least half the family has come back to life. Why couldn’t ghosts exist? “Not much besides fairy tales.” He braced himself for what was to come.
Danny narrowed his eyes appraisingly. “Hmm. Well. They are, in fact, real. I’ll show evidence in a little bit. A Ghost as we know them is generally formed when a person’s emotions during death produce enough ectoplasm to give their sentience form. They then become residents of a place known by two names; the Ghost Zone, or the Infinite Realms. The Ghost Zone is what it’s known as on Earth, and the residents of the place itself call it the Infinite Realms.” Danny pauses here for a moment and then claps his hands. “Now, all ghosts are members of the Infinite Realms, but not all beings of the Infinite Realms are ghosts. The Realms is a dimension mirroring our own that is entirely made of ectoplasm. It’s where the residue from the emotions of all beings in our universe go and then are given form. There are beings there that are basically gods and are aspects given form. I can go on and on about the Realms later. What’s important is that throughout history there have been unstable naturally occurring portals between the two dimensions, but around five years ago, a pair of scientists managed to open a stable portal to this dimension. A few months later, a former college friend of theirs made a second stable portal, but I’ll get to him in a minute. Once this portal was established, it made it so that ghosts could now freely come into our world. A young hero took up protecting the city, but his first few attempts had quite a bit of misunderstanding to them and so he was villainized for a while. This resulted in the government establishing an agency to combat these threats. All well and good, right?” He raised an eyebrow at Tim. “You would think so. However, the laws passed to make this agency had some clauses that are questionable. I’ll just hand you a copy of the documentation so that you can read it.”
He handed Tim a folder labeled “Anti-Ecto Acts”. He began to peruse them and came upon the clause that declared any being that can process or contains ectoplasm is considered non-sentient or sapient and called for the capture, eradication, or experimentation of all such “ecto-beings”. “This, can’t be right. This is a blatant contradiction to the Meta Protection Acts.”
Danny smirked a sad smile. “You’d think, right?” He gave him a moment to process that. “You can read up more on that later. I have other things to say.” Tim set aside the folder and took a deep chug of his energy drink.
“Alright, hit me.” he said as he leaned forward to put his elbows on his knees, giving Danny his full attention.
“Kay, so, you notice the ‘any being that can process ectoplasm’ bit? Yeah, well that can apply to some humans too. Humans that are considered death-touched or Liminal. People who have been surrounded by death, have died even if momentarily on the operating table, but especially people who have been exposed to high levels of ectoplasm. Here’s the thing about living in a town with a stable portal to effectively the afterlife: it kinda does some stuff to you.” He flashed his eyes a Lazerus green as he set his right palm on the desk. He’s quiet for a moment before he leaned back with a sigh, then closed his eyes so they returned to their normal blue.
“Every individual in my hometown is ecto-contaminated.” He said quietly, like, Tim supposes, he was telling a secret. Tim guesses he was. “Every person there is death-touched. Every person there is Liminal. Every person pings as an ecto-entity to the GIW. We’re all at risk. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the heroes would ping too. I need your help.” Danny turned begging eyes upon Red Robin. “I need your help, and you need this too because I noticed it when we first met, Tim, that you are too.”
Tim reeled, he stood and knocked his chair over. “Wh-what do you mean?”
“How many times have you been near-death? How many times have you been around the dying? That sort of stuff leaves a mark on people. They begin to metabolize ectoplasm. I reckon that the majority of the Justice League apply. I’d argue that soldiers who have seen active combat would register on some sensors. According to those laws, you can be captured and experimented on. They’re luckily focusing on ghosts and have been ignoring people, but it’s only a matter of time. I need you to bring this to Batman, to the League. I need these Acts removed. They call for the eradication of my People” His eyes flashed a green again as the word resonated. “This calls for the eradication of an entire dimension, they’ve already tried it once, and if they had, it would have torn this universe apart. Luckily the nuke they had was a dud.”
Tim swallowed at that. “Nuke? They tried to nuke an entire dimension?” Tim picked up the chair and sat heavily in it. “I’m going to guess that this somehow gets worse?”
Danny nodded solemnly. “You see, the Infinite Realms has a council and a king. A good majority of the council rightfully believes that these Acts are calling for the genocide of our people. The king has kept them at bay for now, but they’re calling for war.”
Tim put his head in his hands and groaned. “And the king?” Danny looked at him, debating something for a moment. Then he stood and there was a flash of bright light. Stood in front of Red Robin could only be the King. Danny now had bright white hair and eyes that glowed with a familiar Lazarus green. He wore a cloak of stars and his crown looked like the Northern Lights. He wore armor that seemed to be a combination of the ancient Norse and Greeks. “I just want my people safe.”
I don't know if you've watched Nosferatu (2024) yet but it's one hundred percent Sanginhun material. Gihun being married to Sangwoo, a real estate agent. One day Sangwoo has been given the task to sell off an old castle belonging to a reclusive count (Inho). He has to meet the count in person. Gihun is very upset about this, not only fearing for Sangwoo's life, but because of the nighmare he had on their wedding night. Gihun dreamt about marrying Death instead of Sangwoo, and everyone else in the wedding were dead. The worst part? Gihun never felt happier in that nightmare.
What Sangwoo doesn't know is that the count is a vampire, and the count has a history with Gihun. Years before their marriage, Gihun begged for companionship, he had pledged his life and loyalty to Inho. And to this day, Inho still haunts Gihun. Haunting his life, mind, and dreams. The reason why Inho wants to sell the castle is because he has his sight on Gihun, and wants to buy a manor closer to where he lives. He will not let Gihun go, after all these years.
Inho appears in Gihun's dreams, giving him the deadline of three nights, to change his mind and divorce Sangwoo, or he will kill everyone Gihun loves and take the rest of the town with him. (Oh my god. That's totally Inho behavior.)
(Some lines of the movie that struck me, fitted for the characters.)
-Gihun in tears, having his difficult evenings of nightmares, scared of being controlled by Inho's devilry. Sangwoo holds him close-
Gihun: Keep away from me, I am unclean!
Sangwoo: Never. Never...!
-Whenever Gihun hears Inho's voice in his sleep-
Inho: Dream of me. Only of me...
i haven't seen it but i really want to!
it kinda reminds me of the phantom of the opera song! "in sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came" type of stuff
i love gothic horror and the plot does fit these characters perfectly! 😩
sangwoo assuring gihun that he will never be unclean, no matter what inho does to him... inho not caring for gihun's feelings and just wanting him close.... gihun being caught in the middle simply because he wanted to not be alone....
u could actually make this a canon compliant au!
after the first games, gihun is desperate for companionship so he goes out and meets a man name youngil. they hit it off and send a lot of time together and gihun doesnt realize that youngil wants more out of their friendship. hell, he doesn't even know that youngil doesn't exist and the front man is trying to keep him forever. sangwoo's ghost is haunting gihun, wanting to keep him company since he knows gihun hates to be alone, and he gets bad vibes from youngil but cant warn gihun. gihun dreams of sangwoo at night and these dreams shift to youngil, but they also become darker. its almost as if he subconsciously knows that youngil is the front man (he recognized his voice from the limo) and his brain is trying to warn him of the danger ahead. so much so that sangwoo begins actually appearing to gihun....
Late Spring in Blüdhaven had always been special to Dick. Melville Park wasn't anything grand, not like the Manor's expansive grounds had been, but there were lights strung through the trees that made it look like a scene from a fairytale. On slow patrols, he would perch on the Band Shell and watch the night flyers flitter through the sparkling branches. It was beautiful.
There was no such beauty now.
He sat on the Band Shell, gloved hands dripping blood onto the cold stone, staring out at the trees. They didn't look magical anymore; it just looked like lights in trees. Dick was a fool for ever wasting time on the trees, for ever believing. He took all the magic with him.
There was a dull ache in Dick's chest that drowned out the pain from his bruised knuckles. He pushed up and grappled back over to the Red Line. He ignored the pang of something as he hopped on top of the train, the phantom of laughter chasing after him even as the world was blissfully ripped from his ears by the wind. There was no comm in his ear tonight- there hadn't been in weeks. He was all alone.
Nightwing tore through the business district like a phantom, not a word spoken as he moved from alley to alley. It was a quiet night, most nights had been quiet recently, but Dick Nightwing needed a fight. His escrima sticks stayed holstered at his sides, bloody gloves growing more gory with each encounter. He needed to hurt.
Late Spring in Blüdhaven had once been beautiful. Dick had been proud to drag his friends from tiny park to tinier park, to go to movies on the grass, to visit the frankly frigid shitty beach. He had loved late spring, had loved seeing Robins appear in late April, had loved seeing the fledglings in May. He was a bird boy, after all. He had loved it all. He couldn't find it in himself to love any of it, now.
Nightwing found himself at St. Eustace. He didn't attend services and would probably burst into flames if he ever stepped inside, but he wasn't there for the church itself. He crossed the opulent roof in utter silence, tracing a familiar path to a familiar sight, his favorite the gargoyle. There was nothing special about the gargoyle anymore. It had been special once, but there was nothing making it special anymore. Some nights, Dick wanted to destroy the snarling stone. He resisted the urge, and lowered himself to the ledge, perching next to the monster. You know what they say about birds of a feather.
Dick wiped his gloves on the stone, silent as he watched the darkness absorb. His hand absently patted the space between himself and the granite behemoth, remembering a different flash of red that had graced the spot. He looked out to his city. He couldn't stand any of it anymore.
This had once been a beautiful sight.
He had once been ecstatic to show the gargoyle off, "it can't beat the ones in Gotham, but it's a good substitute!"
He had once laughed the entire night, trading jokes with his little shadow, his little wing.
There was no light here, even as the sun rose, there was no light left for Nightwing. When he retreated to his trashed apartment, carelessly stepping on shattered picture frames in his boots, he couldn't find it in himself to turn on the lights. He couldn't look at his home, couldn't look at the wreckage of the memories.
There was no beauty left in the world.
And Dick couldn't stand to look at the ugly truth.
