it’s so funny going into monsterfucker spaces and seeing people argue about whether Venom is a tame monster crush or not and I think I figured out why ppl argue about it. I think there’s two separate levels to liking Venom and people just don’t specify which one they’re talking about

the first is what most people think of: you want Venom when they’re in a separate host and in their more humanoid form. they look like just a really tall guy, and you’ve got some monster traits involved but not quite as many as level two. this is the tame level.

the second level is when you want to be their host. you’re pulling an eddie brock— you’re fucking the slime that lives inside of you and cannot take on a humanoid form outside of yourself. it’s just a mass of black goop that lives in your organs and speaks to you in your head. this is why some people would consider Venom a more extreme monster crush

#or it could just be that the people who call them extreme are cowards #but yeah #I’ve been thinking about this a lot with the ‘craziest hear me out’ trend on tiktok #because every time it happens people debate whether venom truly counts as a ‘hear me out’ character #which I think to any sane person would be deranged because either way ur still fucking the slime monster #but I love spending stupid amounts of time thinking about the silliest internet beef I can find #and as someone who falls in the second level!! Something I always wonder with the whole: "The lazy populous doesn't want to work!" is if it's only being said to keep minimum wage at the very, very lowest end of 'survivability.'

My grandmother filled me in with some grocery store drama, and I thought I’d share it here because it’s interesting.

Basically, her Walmart of choice is now keeping WAY more cashier-lanes open.

In addition, our local Dollar General (which formerly ONLY had self-checkout isles) has hired a cashier.

She also saw on the News how Target was considering doing away with self-checkouts, entirely.

Why all of this? Because people are stealing. Who could’ve guessed this would be the outcome??

Apparently, theft is becoming so common at self-checkouts (in some areas) that stores are losing enough money that hiring human cashiers is actually the cheaper option.

So in other news. We did it! Great work everyone, and keep it up. Steal these companies into the ground and then some.

Also I can't get over the fact that Luc is young but he’s also an eighth level rogue/wizard. That’s the same level that the Nein were when they arrived in Xhorhas for the first time!! The Nein did so much before they ever reached Luc’s level. This kid is powerful.
