MIDNIGHT SUN CHAPTER 2

Summary: Cassidy Whittmore was just your average teenager. she was a girl who craved adventures and someone who would tend to get into some trouble with her friends and her boyfriend.

this summer, they invited a new friend to the group, trying to get her out of her comfort zone to prove that she didn't have to be a goody goody.

Currently 5:47am so there is going to be errors but I'll do them later and fix them. 

I continued to play with the bags of snacks in front of me. Leia was talking to Mama at the front desk, as I continued to look over at her. 

   "Relax! She's gonna do fine." Jay said, as I could feel the anxiety inside me if we get caught. 

    "Babe!" Jay called out when my hands got a bit shakey, but I just ignored him. 

   "Sh!" I glared at the boy beside me. 

   He knows I sometimes get anxious when it comes to doing something illegal. I'll never admit that though, but I've learned front Steven Hyde. Though I never see my father since he left when I was born. Reasons why I stay with Gwen and Nick. 

    "You're shaking." He said, voice full of worry. 

     "I said I'm fine." I snapped. 

    "You sure you want to be drinking in your condition?" Big Mama asks with raised eyebrows.  She stares at Leia's big stomach. 

   "It's for my husband. He got a keg for the baby shower." I exhale as she remembered what I told her to say. 

   "That'll be 39.50." I looked up at Jay who still looked down at me with worry, I kiss the corner of his mouth with a small smile. 

   "You're cute." He smiles at my compliment as I shoved his head to the side in a playful manner. 

  Then something goes wrong with the plan. 

    "I'm no doctor lady, but I think there's something wrong with the baby." Fuck. I felt like passing out when I began to breathe heavily. 

   "Baby?" I knew if I got caught this time I would actually go to jail. 

     "Hey!" I shake my head, as I tried not to get seen by Big Mama. 

    "Jay, we have to go. I think I'm gonna pass out." Jay quickly grabs my hand as I start to feel even more light headed. 

     "Did you eat anything today?" I bit my bottom lip as I tried to recall if I did. 

   "No, I was going to but I forgot." We were back at the Formans house hold when I saw Mrs. Forman. 

  "Mrs. Forman?" I asked, starting to hyperventilate a bit. 

    My hands were still shaking, and my chest began to feel tighter. 

    The older woman looked up at me when she noticed the state I was in. 

   "Oh honey!" She quickly rushed to my aid when she realized I was having a panic attack. 

  My vision began to blur, my chest felt like it was suffocating me, as I began to claw at my chest with my right hand. 

   "Shit!" I heard Jay hiss.  

     "What the hell?" I heard another female voice when I realized the group was probably back from Big Mama. 

    I felt soft yet rough hands on my jaw. I realized they were Jay's. 

   "What's wrong with her?" I heard Leia ask the group. 

    "She's having a panic attack. The only one who knows how to help her is Jay." I heard Ozzy inform her. 

    I stared into Jay's eyes. 

     "What color are my eyes? Can you describe them?" I nodded my head, as I felt my throat begin to burn from the amount of oxygen I'm trying to inhale. 

   "T-They're um, they're. They're brown, like, like um." I stuttered out, as I began to feel my breathing was normal. 

   "Like chocolate, and, and they're some hints of gold in there. But it's more like copper than gold." I continued to describe his eyes. Usually he'd have me stare at something else to describe something, but if they're really bad he'd have me stare into his eyes and describe the color of them. 

   My hand was on his chest, his hand was holding mine as I felt the even breaths of his chest. 

  Everyone continued to watch as my breathing was slower and not as erratic. 

    Jay still kept my hand on his chest as I was finally breathing normally again. 

   "How did you do that?" I heard Mrs. Forman asks. 

    "Sometimes she'd have worse ones. She terrified me one night when she stayed over, mom and dad were the ones that kinda shouted for her to describe my eyes. That was really scary, her face was beginning to go purple. I thought she was honestly going to die." I always felt guilty that night. Even if it wasn't even my fault I couldn't help but feel guilt. 

   "I don't even remember the dream either. I only knew that Jay was there, and then I woke up in a panic." I explained to Mrs. Forman. 

  Jay soon left, and I knew he was mad at me. I quickly followed him out the slide door. Jay was now bouncing the basketball on the concrete driveway. 

   "I'm sorry." He continued to ignore me, as he missed the net. 

    He continued to grab the basketball, but I was able to grab the ball from the ground before he was able to pick it up. He finally looked me in the eyes. 

    "You scared me today, it was like the same one that night. You were clawing at your neck, you have red scratches from the nail marks on your neck now. You looked like you were going to pass out, Cassidy." I grabbed his hand, I sat on the hood of the cst in the driveway, as Jay stood between my legs. 

   His hands rested on my outer thighs as I played with his brown hair. 

    "I'm sorry, I was trying to think of your eyes. When I tried to describe them to you I just got lost in them. I don't know why, but you're the only one who could help me with my panic attacks." I explained, as I fiddled with his fingers. 

    "Hey guys, not to interrupt but we were gonna go to the tower. Do you two wanna join us?" Leia asked, as we looked at each other. 

    "Yea." I was the first to respond, hopping off the hood and me and the gang head to the water tower. 

   

   I was the first to climb up, as everyone followed my lead. 

    "Steven Hyde." I said reading the name in black sharpie on the tower where I'm sitting. 

    "Can you guys believe that this is where our parents used to chill? The best dates are up here too." I blushed as Jay and I always came up here whenever we wanted to get out of the house. 

    "You guys always sneak up here and won't let us tag along." I rolled my eyes at Nikki.  

    "Not everything needs to be a double date." I sassily replied, causing her to shut her trap. 

   I rested my head on Jay's shoulder taking a sip of my red solo cup that was full of beer. 

   "To Forman! She's a true woman!" We all cheered as we watched the fireworks. I looked to Jay to see the glowing lights change on his skin. Goosebumps rose to my skin, as I couldn't help but feel giddy. I pull his face away from the fireworks, to kiss him. The kiss was soft and sweet, passionate yet quick. 

    "I love you Jay Kelso." Jay gives me a boyish smile. 

    "I love you, Cassidy Hyde." I let out a nervous laugh as he laughed with me. 

I can't believe that Jay Kelso was actually mine. Never thought that my life I would have friends like this. That my life would never actually be this amazing. Even though my father isn't around, or the fact I don't have a mom, I still feel like Carrie was the only one I consider a mother. Mrs. Forman was like a mother figure to me. Thought she's older but I consider her as one, along with red Forman as a father figure.

And I couldn't ask for a better family.

"Are you staying over tonight?" Jay asked softly nudging my head that was on his shoulder.

"Mhm." I hummed in response.

Later that night, I was in Jay's bathroom. I was blasting some Godmsack as I was taking a shower.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Yea?" I called out, as I paused from rinsing the shampoo in my hair.

"It's me! I gotta pee!" I laughed at Jay, who rushed to the bathroom when I said he could come in.

"Don't flush!" I said once he finished taking a wiz.

"Dillhole!" I exclaimed when he decided to join me in the shower. He was still wearing his clothes he had on from before.

"Dude!" I shouted when I almost slipped.

"Dude!" Jay mocked my voice, going an octave higher.

I slapped his chest, making a loud wet slapping sound.

"Up." He did as told, raising his arms up

I never wanted to say anything about what's currently happening with Good Omens because how aggressive people have been on here but, well, what on earth did you think would happen? You wanted Neil Gaiman fired from a project he is co-writer of the book, writer and producer of. A project he holds rights to. Season 3 without Neil Gaiman wasn't possible. So I for one thing am ecstatic Amazon didn't cancel it because honestly, that would've been the logical conclusion from how people have been acting and reacting on here. And to me, it seems cancellation was imminent and someone fought very hard for that not to happen.

90 minutes is plenty. Season 2 without the minisodes, title sequence and end credits was roughly 120 minutes long. Death at a Funeral is 90 minutes long. Ice Age 3 is 104 minutes. Stand by me, Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride are quite short as well, not to mention the old Disney films. What I'm trying to say is, a lot of (imo) great movies aren't actually that long and there are no character introductions, exposition or world building needed for Good Omens 3. It's not ideal, and don't get me wrong, I was sad at first too and part of me still is, but it's a lot considering the circumstances. Please be kind, try to be positive and don't exude all your negative energy on the Internet.

gonna b honest a majority of people proposing what the minecraft movie SHOULD be has a fundamental misunderstanding of movies and I'm begging you to ask yourself if your idea can reasonably keep audiences interested for 90 minutes or if it would work 10x better as a 3 minute art project because half of the ideas being tossed about are just stretched out versions of a 3 minute art project.

Summer 2023! I knew it!!😎

No official dates but I was right about the season of filming. It’s what they did the first season too and for the most part seems to have worked well. I’m thinking June either mid or late, would love for May but it’s kinda close and I think some of the kids might be graduating this year.
