Stabbing brings up too many questions. When people show up with stab wounds at the infirmary, people generally tend to start worrying. Like, "where did you get stabbed?" "why did you get stabbed?" "who stabbed you?" and other unfun things that would definitely not be good for her if people started sniffing.

So she can't stab. That's fine. She shouldn't be stabbing anyway, even if she's pretty sure the others would get it. There's other ways to get a point across.

The thing about scalding hot water is that it usually doesn’t feel scalding hot right away, especially when contact is sudden, like when it’s thrown in your face. They’ve honestly been one of my favourite aspects of this story. There had to be consequences for what happened but things will be better now. The bond between Corinthian and Wanderer is arguably the biggest aspect of this series.

And yes! Canon stardust finally made an appearance. I had the final line at the ready from the start (hence the mirror to the first line in the fic) so I’m glad you all loved it so much 😩
