👽// YEAH YEAH! SO: Doc & Ophelia were primarily inspired by The Outer Worlds, Justice League 2001 aaaaaand Sonic Adventure 2. Hilariously enough, out of the three? SA2 was the biggest inspiration for them (hard to tell now, but Ophelia was heavily inspired off of shadow the hedgehog esp in her first development dfgsdfgd)

All three have this flavor of space and scifi+fantasy that just… really scratches my brain. Really wanted to capture the innate silliness yet unapologetic intensity & Hope Despite It All™️ that all three exude!

In regard to the very first thing I decided on them: these two have ALWAYS had an unshakeable bond. Before Doc was a scientist for ATLAS, he was supposed to be Sofia's best friend— but that got scrapped in favor of an older mentor character (rly glad i had too, puts the scifi elements back in the forefront!)
