hi um. i just wanted to say that i love your p5 chat fic so so much, it's one of the best examples of characterization that ive ever SEEN in a fic, and i recently reread it and i have a question that's been on my mind for years. during the valentines day chapter when goro is saying akira should get yusuke an expensive present, is he putting on the pressure because he also has a crush on akira and is salty about it, or because he knows yusuke likes akira back and just wants to drain his wallet for the fun of it

i've been trying to think back on my reasoning for that (obvi it's been years) and honestly i don't *completely* remember if i was intending for goro to be a little jealous of yusuke and akira, or if he was just being snarky and mischievous--but i actually lean towards the latter? which i mean here i am writing a shu//ake longfic it's not like i dislike the ship BUT i think in that particular fic i was trying to prove a bit of a point. that point being i was frequently seeing hate on goro by ppl who didn't ship him w akira, and i was annoyed about it! so i wanted to rly specially have goro exist in the fic as a positive and developed character, even if he wasn't part of the ship. so at the time of writing, i think i was going for a platonic relationship (but i also remember being like THIS WOULD'VE BEEN SO GOOD AS SHU//AKE so... it's not like the thought wasn't there HAHA).

i think it CAN be read as jealous and salty, tho. i wouldn't call u wrong if u read it as goro having a crush on aki, it just wasn't completely what i had in mind from what i remember.

but yea!!! there u go, i hope that's a good enough answer heheh. thank u again for reading ;A; i had a lot of fun w that fic, i'm glad it's still makin people happy even now~!
