Before Ratchet was expelled from the student dormitory

Kids being kids, I'm downright positive that at one point the tfp trio had debates about who was the "best" in terms of their friends. It happens a lot, conversations get out of hand, and all of a sudden Miko is pummeling Jack with a pillow to "defend Bulkhead and wheeljacks honor",

What's to say the bots don't over hear these conversations?

In bits and pieces of course, because I need thise guys egos to inflate and deflate at rather rapid paces.

"I'm not bulkheads human friend!" (Estimated accurate quote from the show), the kids recognize them as friends but also guardians. It's like having a favorite uncle. When babysitting their obligated to take care of you but of course you gravitate towards what your familiar with, or, who received you best, and so, there's words like "Bumblebee likes Raf more than you Miko", and "Arcee isn't that much of a dunebasher," and conveniently, the mentioned would only hear the first part not the "she's more for high speed riding in the canals! Fast and smooth!"

Ratchet gears the bulk of those conversations, and within feeding myself (maybe you guys, y'all can have some too,) I'm down to say he gets a little bit salty that he's rarely mentioned in them. He does recognize it as his own fault though, one cannot subtly threat people and get away with it in the first meeting.

"they could go squish." (Jeffery combs, one of the few voices I can recognize thanks to ratchet, you beast), I'd like to think he regrets how he's acted towards them within their first meeting, but is, understandably to the kids, constantly busy. Gently brushing off their attempts at bonding purely since it's always at inconvenient times! He would like nothing more than to talk and teach the trio about cybertronian history (as evident in their school projects) and other things regarding his own experiences, hell maybe even be the "cool grandpa" thing they keep mentioning. He has no clue what a grandpa is, but it seems to be positive.

Even better, the reason any of them can hear the bits and pieces they do is cuz of how powerful their own audials are, the kids haven't gotten a complete look at how enhanced their senses are, outside of smell and taste to be fair, and so their hushed whispers when they remember Ratchet is pretty close aren't enough.

Back on track, away from Ratchet sadly, I genuinely think all the bots love the kids, and with what they hear they might be devastated to assume the bots like their respective humans more than the other, even going so far as to find them downright annoying.

Ex;

"yeah, I don't think Bulkhead really likes me as much as you. We don't talk too much and it gets quiet really easily." Raf responds, lounging on the couch legs curled in to hold his laptop up comfortably, typing away.

From the hall before what the kids call the "living room", certain audials pick it up, leaving turbulent thoughts as Bulkhead, simply walking from the wash racks to his room, raised his optical ridges in surprise.

Does Raf... Think he doesn't like him? At all? I mean, sure, the two don't actually have much to talk about, with different interests, but he Loved speaking with the boy about the different Biomes on earth learning about the surrounding deserts and forests that, thanks to Raf, he regards it all with a new light upon seeing the way the ecosystems work and balance each other out! It was awesome! Had he done something wrong? "Quiet really easily", is that something against human customs? Or at least where he comes from? Was he exuding annoyance towards Raf?? DO THEY ACTUALLY HAVE EM FIELDS JUST.... IN A DIFFERENT WAY???!?

End ex,

There's lots to deal with, including the nuances of conversation, the fact that cybertronians have vastly different social cues and linguistic tones and everything, and I doubt the bots had much contact with other humans outside of Agent Fowler and any official he brought with them, and they where always straight forward with everything.

Meaning the way that the kids speak, children civilians, would be lost in them for a while. Of course casual conversation isn't completely off the table, it just takes a few repeated words and explained definitions, but like regular conversations, especially overheard conversations, can be taken out of context with the wrong ideas, and all that Jazz.

Tldr; I want to see those Bots "make it up" to the kids by hanging out with them more.

This is also applicable with smokescreen, wheeljack, and Ultra Magnus. Less so with Magnus since he's probably heavily limiting his own contact with the kids.

Sometimes I'm just having a "don't touch me don't talk to me" days and he'd understand without me having to say shit. No he'd just put me in the vent and smack cons away with his tendrils so no one talks to me or gets with in 6ft of me

Soundwave is definitely up there in terms of bf/bff material. Everyone in the Decepticons is some manner of fucked up (Soundwave included), but at least he's better than the rest.

You remembered it clearly, your whole body memorized everything like a muscle memory. You dodged some spikes and jumped into a portal and your form is changed. Seeing the light at the end, you ran faster. To you, this level feels like a few seconds to finish. It's your favorite level after all, so it's not that surprising you're done in a seconds.

Once you see the finish line, you jumped and position yourself to pose a dramatic pose as you smile.

But before your back could reached the light, the system suddenly crashed. In the middle of reaching the finish line.

YOU SHOULD'VE LISTENED DEAR....

You slowly flutter your optics open and let out a groan. What just happened? You thought, you should've listen to the system who warned you about the errors and now look where you had gotten yourself into. Tilting your helm up, you noticed your surroundings are unfamiliar to you.

The atmosphere feels foreign, the floor beneath you is a bit too soft? Hard? Soft-hard? You don't know...

Your optics suddenly feels too heavy to stay wide open, so what you did was let the tiredness washed over you. Just laying there. Silently. Or is it?

You didn't know your sudden interdimensional shift caused a huge blast like a meteor from the sky. And that huge blast caused a signal from afar....

"Ratchet, what's going on?"

"I don't know... but it's seems like there's something out there, something big. But I have a feeling it's another trap from those decepticons..."

"I see. Ratchet, open the space bridge and let's ROLL OUT!"

"Didn't you hear what I just said—!"

"I think Optimus is trying to say like– what if there's cybertronian out there, and the decepticons will tell them to join their side."

"Hey don't side with him, Rafael!"

"I'm just saying..."

New fun (and pretty violent) kobd concept hauntin me.

Its not really a plot but I was reminded of breakdown losing an eye in prime, and I saw some fanart at some point where the situation was reversed and it was KO who was captured by mech, killed, desecrated by Cylas, etc. And I started thinking about Knockout being the one to the lose an eye and it started developing into this whole concept.

So, theres a battle and knockout and breakdown get caught up in it (can probably be any continuity or an au or whatever you feel like) and theres this particularly brutal bot on the battlefield (again can be whomever you please). Poor knockout winds up on the receiving end of them and winds up losing an optic in the process.

Breakdown gets him out of there but knockout is understandably upset about the injury. Worse yet, not only does he not have access to an optic that matches his eye color, but he doesn't have access to new optics at all.

And this can be for any reason. LIke its the war, the supplies are low, nobody is creating replacement optics, etc etc.

This bums him out for obvious reasons, but it also effects his medical skills as he has to adjust to his loss of vision. So things are incredibly hard on him for awhile.

Anyway a lot of time passes, Breakdown is off on missions, and who should he start running into again? Why, the bot who destroyed knockouts optic thats who.

I have no exact idea of what happens in between, but after weeks/months of being apart/breakdown being on active duty/off doing something else, he returns and tells knockout he has a surprise for him.

Its not an exact color match, and will likely need adjusting to match knockouts other eye but its a replacement optic! Knockout is naturally overjoyed. Even if the color clashes, it will make things much easier for him. Naturally he asks breakdown where he got it and he just responds that he received as a form of repayment.

Naturally cut back to the bot who hurt knockout and they are very obviously missing one of their optics.

as for the other idea- what if i put two different orions (optimus prime from transformers prime, and a human oc with transformers knowledge) in one shattered glass orion pax and turn him into a magical boy? bot?

for the orions (i like calling all three of them together as Orion's Belt) its a found family comedy with orion nox (shattered glass orion) trying to strangle orion nyx (human) in his head while orion pax (dead prime) is trying to mediate between them... but also eventually returning to his original feral state as orion pax

everyone else in this continuity of a soup is experiencing a mystery romance novel as this mysterious prime comes out of fucking nowhere and disappears when the smoke clears

just to be clear; optimus prime and megatron are separate characters here, we also have d-16 as well, who is shattered glass megatron/d-16.

Been a minute but some thoughts about linguistics reader! In bayverse.

You met Optimus and the others during the beginning stages of working with NEST. While young you were one of the more skilled people in their arsenal as you took special interest in the ancient language that is Cybertronian.

Being the only human who could decode and understand the language you became crucial in communication with the Autobots as you gain the attention of Optimus who was very interested in your work and your grasp on understanding their language to any capacity.

As a being who cared deeply for history and science youboth got along swimmingly. It baffled everyone especially your superiors but they decided to use it to their advantage.

Over the course of the years working together the two of you developed a deep bond. One that was ripped away when the world turned on your friends.

It broke something inside of you when you thought they had been killed when forced to leave your planet.

Even when you found out they survived everything quickly changed and everyone had to flee. They tried to contain you to use you as a bargaining chip for Optimus but you were thankfully saved by Ratchet.

It put a target on everyone’s back and you soon found yourself being forcefully separated from the people who were your family.

For three years you were on the run constantly hiding until they finally caught up with you. Taken back to Chicago you were forced to work and be used as bait for Autobots.

It disgusted and devastated you to see humans experiment on Cybertronians as if they were just heaps of metal to dissect and create weapons from.

The day you were rescued was chaotic you were nearly fired on as you ran for safety in the lab. If you hadn’t been grabbed by Joshua and presented as a prized horse in front of the Autobots you probably would have tried to escape in the chaos.

You defended yourself explaining they had kidnapped you and forced you to do this.

They were shocked to say the least and from the look on Optimus’ face you felt the last of your already broken heart shatter. His last reigning hope had been soiled.

Even after leaving for whatever reason despite everything Hound scooped you up and carried you away from that hell of a place.

No one said a thing until you reunited with Bumblebee and the humans that they were protecting.

You nearly burst into tears at the sight of the yellow mech.

The talks of leaving and the revelation of Galvatron shocked even you. The questions turned to you to ask what you knew of this. You knew nothing and said so.

When Lockdown suddenly appeared you did your best to stay out of the way but got caught up in the fighting.

You and Tessa were taken aboard the ship. You tried to be a distraction for Tessa so she could get away as Lockdown spotted you and were forced from the car you had hidden in. He called you a rare prize indeed a human with the knowledge and history of Cybertron imbedded into your mind. Favored by the leader of the Autobots.

He tossed you into a cage near Optimus as if to taunt you both.

You didn’t speak at first but eventually you did not being able to bare the silence any longer.

“I’m sorry about the others. I didn’t want to help them but they forced me I didn’t know where you were but they knew just using me would attract them out of hiding.”

He was silent for a long time and it made you hate yourself more.

“It is not your fault my spark.”

The last of your sanity burst at his words as you began sobbing uncontrollably.

I think what’s most appealing to me about dratchet is that ratchet is portrayed as a character who is always there to help others, form close relationships with people, be the ‘best friend’ or in even some cases the third wheel, but he is never picked. He is never the once chased after, for all he does to help and care for people. He is expected to give, and give - as he is a doctor, but even then, he is emotionally expected to do that.

Ratchet is the only time where ratchet is picked. Drift is appreciative of everything ratchet has done to help him, but he also sees Ratchet past being a doctor. While everyone else sets up boundaries with ratchet and keeps him in a specific place, Drift doesn’t. Drift breaks the all to familiar narrative of Ratchet only existing to help others, and eventually in a way be left on his own at the end of things.

Ratchet helps Drift, and rather than part ways or remain close friends, Drift breaks the mold and takes Ratchet with him and eventually, makes Ratchet his conjunx. Ratchet hasn’t ever been shown that type of love, appreciation or passion from someone. He is just expected to give and never receive anything in return. Except when it’s with Drift. he isn’t an outsider or a passerbyer in Drift’s life as Drift himself heals, grows and finds his own identity and self outside of the Lost Light. No, Drift makes sure Ratchet is apart of that.

The witch and their big Mad scientist buddy

(Reader is gender neutral) spoiler idk about witchcraft but i thought it was a cool idea to write

Probably platonic 

Backstory : you're a human but not some boring and basic one you're a fragging witch and you can do whatever you want! Except you don’t want to get burned alive for using your spells and potions so you stay hidden for a long time. you're still in your youth of course you're about (inserted old age) years old but in human years let’s say you're a young adult to people's eyes. One day when you were just minding your business and picking up some herbs and ingredients for one of your experiments to make a new potions it was nice and boring until a huge robot with big boobies was looking around trying to find something and what did you do when he approach you well you threw a potion on him to make him freeze in spot, did it work?, nope the big robot walks over to you slowly and snatches you and proceeds to called you a fool for trying to offline him which did not make sense to you and then he kidnapped he was intrigued with your witchy abilities and demands you to answer how you made or did it but at least you two got to know each other right and he introduce himself he’s shockwave this is probably a win and win situation? Anyways the backstory is over!

And there you are the witch and your best bud who is a mad scientist conducting a experiment, no its not one of those crazy experiments it's actually one with those cauldron it's basically mixings some stuff to make a potions, Anyways you and shockwave were making a invisibility potion why well you two just honestly put your heads together and thought of making a invisibility potion but for shockwave he just want to make one so that one of the Decepticons workers can infiltrate the Autobots base so non of the higher ups have to and it’s a logical explanation but you honestly didn’t care and create the potion out of boredom did you even know there was a war between his species? You did but you’re too interested in showing your witchcraft to someone who is not afraid of it and it was lonely being alone for a long time so you just stay there on the nemesis willingly you might get death threats or glares but you could care less.

Shockwave looms over you as you stir the spoon to mix the ingredient together in the medium large cauldron as you cast some spells, “fascinating…” he mutter even if you unable to see any expression on him you just know how he is so interested in your witchcraft each time he’s like a little kitty though you never say it outloud since he would say it would be illogical for him to be a small furry animal, Shockwave analyze the liquid that changes as few minutes has pass and you finish your potions you smile happily as Shockwave looks at the potions before carefully grabbing you before asking “..do you wish to test it sparky?..” he ask (sparky is your nickname from now on cuz why not) you nodded “sure i always want to check if it works or not” Shockwave then proceed to request a worker mech to come to his lab for experiment purposes and that's how your days continue making new potions and spells while experimenting on some mech it was fun hanging out with shockwave.

And that's it goodbye!
