My tooth jar

To start these pictures are for sure no the best quality, I took them in a dark room so I had to use flash, then for two of them I used the front camera because you cannot see the detail with the sudden back flash. I made this jar in my art class this semester at school, this was not the first art class I have ever taken, but it was the first time I worked with clay! I had a lot of fun creating this jar, I will also brag that this was the most unique clay project in my class!

I took tons of time making the detail of the teeth, the picture partially does it justice. I chose to make teeth because I find teeth very captivating. In any context I love teeth, when I talk to people I find myself looking at their teeth even. I just find teeth really attractive, like I am fascinated with them type of way, teeth are just so beautiful!

In this last picture I used my back camera so you can see why I didn't for the previous ones. I have had so many people tell me I should be a dentist because of my love for teeth, but I love teeth in a different way, I truly do not know how to describe it fully. I hope you guys like the jar!

like yeah. at certain ages... let shit go. im not defending the real immature shit. im not defending the karen you're picturing. i worked in retail i hate those people too. (once somebody got mad at me because she didn't like how our winter window decor was a snowman smoking a pipe. i wish i was joking).

but men at 57 will write books about how 17 year old girls are soooo sexy. they will invent worlds where women have to be naked for "armor reasons." they will write songs that treat women as objects. people rush to defend them. meanwhile a woman at 35 will be like "heartbreak is hard, actually" or "i feel betrayed by a friend" or "i am struggling with something emotionally." immediately people will say stuff like this woman is 35 by the way. by the way this woman is SO OLD to be experiencing this. BY THE WAY.

im 31, almost 32. the other day a poet was blasted online because at her "big age", she had written a poem about feeling unloved. top comment was "this woman is 29 by the way." this woman is too old to still be useful, by the way. she has to behave better . maybe if she was a good wife and mother she could stop existing loudly, and the story could continue on without her. this woman has served her purpose, by the way. she's so cringe, by the way. at 29 - so old! - she still hasn't figured out that her existence should be one of shame.

can I confess something really inconsequential 🫣 I don’t really like when people draw the dungeon meshi half-foots with tails….

WHICH LIKE if people like it that’s fine!! I’m not gonna try to pretend like people are wrong for it or that it’s problematic or smth. I know it’s a common thing to depict halflings/hobbits from other media with tails, and I like when people do that for those!

it’s mostly cause of that daydream hour comic where Kabru tells Hien that “human” is one species and all the races have the same number of bones, and the reason orcs and kobolds are instead considered demi-human is because they have a different number of bones.

so whenever I see it all I can think is “AUGHHHH BUT THE CULTURAL AND POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS!!!” and then I remember this is all make believe and I go outside

getting emotional over footage of an amateur scuba diver interacting with a coelacanth. they are hunted by large deepwater predators, and here comes a large creature bearing the brightest lights it's ever seen, making strange noises, but it does not shy away. it hovers, calmly, as the diver reaches out and trails a hand down its back. im strongly against the anthropomorphizing of real life animals but the stupid emotional part of me loudly insists this is because it recognizes us, the alternating movements of its four paired limbs matching the diver's four paired limbs, & it is thinking, "hello, cousins, we missed you these 66 million years, it's so good to see you again. welcome back, welcome home."
