I was wondering if you had any tips on making animations because yours is gorgeous.

Im really glad you like the animation!Honestly, how i made the animation is probably not the best method to do so. There's a lot of things I could have done to make the process cleaner. If you just want some basic tips I recommend doing some of these animation tricks! Im not good at explaining how they work so I recommend looking up some tutorials from people way more experienced than me

1. Squash and stretch is your friend, it helps make movement feel more alive alongside easing in and out

2. I love overshoot sooo much. I use it everywhere I possibly can cause it makes movements more natural and impacts more weighty.

3. PLEASE DONT ANIMATE EVERYTHING ONE ONE FILE. Dude, that animation is all on one file, and it huge. It takes forever to open and save, let alone export. It's better to split the animation into chunks and put them all together in editing software. I dont have a reliable editing program, so that's why it's all on one file 😔

4. If you're gonna animate a character, please make an animation friendly version of them. It'll save you from ripping out your hair from animating 500 tiny details

Oh now that the animation is posted I can share the uhh technical difficulties and Wips i had while making it ^_^ Above is the rough sketch of the animation in gif form sped up

Some small bits of Boxten's animation that I saved to share with friends.

This was my first time working on a large project on Toonboom. I grew up animation using Movie Maker and that has a lot of limitations. Been putting off learning a new animation software cause I tend to stick with programs I know. This project was the perfect excuse to sit down and make the switch and honestly I don't think i can go back to movie maker lol. Still got a lot to learn but I think this was a good start :]

Most of the bodies were animated on 1 layer while the face animation was on another. I tried to keep Boxten and Astro separate to keep track of what scene was what, but in scenes where they were touching they ended up on the same layer together

Most of the animating went smoothly once I'd figured a few things out but when it didn't uhh.... I have no idea what happen but i had to do surgery on my lineart to restore it lol

Wish I had thought to save more Wips but I hope yall enjoy these little behind the scenes ^_^

Hey, just wanted to say the animation turned out beautifully! You have an amazing sense of movement. (Plus Astro's design is super pleasing on the eye :D love how the star keeps its shape no matter the angle in particular) also please don't listen to that last asker. It'll never matter how much time you take, those who really care about your work will wait. It's really admirable to me that you pace yourself to avoid burnout, especially with something as difficult as animation, while still finishing it. I hope to learn to be able to do that some day

tysm!! I had a lot of fun making the star really floaty compared to the rest of him. It makes me really happy how many people have liked Astro's design! I had a lot of fun with him. I can't wait for the rest of the mains to be revealed >:]c

It gets a little annoying whenever people demand the next part, cause like, I'm just one guy lol. I'm not a content factory. I've done a lot of long form comics in the past and I have struggled with bad burnout cause I didn't pace myself with them. I've found it best to give myself breaks in between working on projects. It helps a lot cause when I pick them back up, I'm reminded how much I like making them! Problem is I've got powerful Adhd brain and whenever someone demands something of me, the demand avoidance kicks in and I don't wanna do it anymore.

I'm still getting used to having a large audience actually investing and reading my work. While some folks have been a bit impatient, a vast majority of yall have been amazing! I've gotten better at ignoring the more irksome comments and I understand that most of them are jokes and aren't serious at all. Most of the DW fandom is small kids still learning fandom etiquette, so I can't be all that mad. I just wanna try setting up few small boundaries to clear the road of any potholes up ahead. 👍

This might sound weird but do you have ideas for the like backstories/pasts of the common toons in Tale Weaver? Not like how they joined the group but more childhood stuff, I’m interested in figuring out what everyone else was doing before they all became a group together lol.

I do have some ideas! Only bits and pieces here and there though. Most of what i've been planning has to do with Shrimpo, but i do have some small stuff for Boxten, Poppy, and Looey! The stuff with Looey isn't fleshed out mostly cause I was waiting for the rest of the troupe members to come out. Finally... I have them all

Dear my kind donors!

I am a mother of three children. We have lived through the war for a year and a half, and we have lost everything we own. My husband is a man who did not work. Before the war, I did not have a breadwinner or any source of income. During the war I didn't give up to teach so I volunteered and had good chance to help some students to get engaged again with English in a very creative way.

Please Save those innocent kids from war 🥺‼️🙏🙏

We are in tents for almost two years because our home was destroyed and my kids are starving now with no enough food  😭‼️🥺After our several evacuation from place to another.Now we don't have a house after it was destroyed by missiles. I now ask you to help me rebuild my house. And buy basics for the daily essentials for my children and I need money so that we can stand up again and start again.

This war wasn't easy at all it has taken many friends at work, students and some of my colleagues at the university. They are almost ten souls I won't never forget . Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

The crossings boarders are closed again these days and war return in Gaza.  The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 kg of meat = $100 now there is no meat

1 chicken = 70$ there is no chicken

1 kg of fish = 100$ now it costs 200$

1 bag of flour = $200 now it costs 600$

1 kg of cooking gas = $150 now it costs 1000$

1 kg of sugar = $50

1 kg of eggplant = $20

1 kg of onions = $50

1 kg of tomatoes = $20
