I still can't believe out of everyone and everything that could have gotten rid of the loophole in Angel's curse, it was Illyria (strongly hinted at the very end of the season 12 comics). Just goes to show how the Powers That Be don't care about their champions, and are really kind of evil (though we already knew that). And they were probably keeping the loophole on purpose, thinking that if it wasn't there he and Buffy would just run off and be happy together instead of fighting for them, the bastards.

Ryunosuke is so funny in my Phoenix AU bc yes, he's still the most normal guy, that doesn't change at all, he still gets so nervous in stressful situations and never really knows what's going on, the only difference is that he has an actual backstory he doesn't want to share and he is fully aware of the fact that he can die. None of this changes the overall plot (unless I deem it so after thinking about it more,) and no one figures it out because they have no reason to. Ryunosuke doesn't have the thing going on that Phoenix does where it's a shock that he is still alive.

But where's the fun in that? I'm sure there's no reason at all that Mr. little guy/prey animal-core/ foreigner who unearths government secrets/ Naruhodo would ever be in any physical danger... there's no reason anyone would want him dead... right?

inCREDIBLY normal about Owen and Angela right now. perhaps it's because they have the following in common:

"Doctor" title (one of them is lying about it though but still)

The two victims of the Octo-Crab Incident that were innocent

Owing their lives to the Captain

Seeing Theatre on the ship before the Incident

There's probably more that I don't remember right now but their dynamic with each other is probably one of my favourite things of the Beta Crew in general, they're just two kind hearted folks with vastly different stories to tell, but with the same goal: Make the world a better place

I'm not quite able to write the rant I want to about their friendship and why it matters and how it reflects in the Alternate Crew (the Octonauts seen in the show) and the Player Crew but instead I will show you a few more drawings :')

Angela was impaled and died near-instantly while Owen was crushed & drowned and died slowly. She was killed in a fit of rage by someone she thought was a friend while he was killed in the aftermath of those exact same events. One knew what was going on and one didn't, but they both died innocent and both died when they didn't need to.

I might make a similar post about Harry and Maggie, who both also lost their lives but the key difference being they were in the wrong. Should be interesting

*the Curse is substantially overblown - generally speaking its pretty hard to find anyone out in the wilds, and shiloh n jackass usually try to run unless they're really cornered. as with most rumors out there, at least 80% of the casualties of "the thiefkiller curse" probably never existed to begin with....

Belated Halloweeeeen post! The mask’s bottom jaw fell off but I had a great time putting this together and stalking around in chicken feet. My toddler niece thought the crotch face was Thomas the tank engine.
