New #scarf who dis? I FINALLY have a #Norway #Norge scarf. One more thing in my preparations for next year when @grandslamcurling brings the Meridian Open to Las Vegas. I checked the GSOC website and teams were announced on 12/17 (my parents’ wedding anniversary). If the #grandslamofcurling sticks to a similar schedule & announces on a Tuesday, that takes us to 12/15/20, which means my #Norwegians have 287 days to qualify/be invited. . . They say that one thing that helps realize a dream is to start acting as though you have already achieved it... it’s like willing the universe to actually deliver what you’ve been visualizing, so I’m going to act like @team.minera.skifer aka #TeamUlsrud have already qualified and been invited to the #GSOC event in January because I really want to meet them and cheer them on in person. . . I couldn’t in good conscience wear my 🇳🇴 fancy pants to #ShockArmy rehearsals on Friday knowing my history of wardrobe challenges (*cough pants falling down because I have no butt to hold them up cough*) and the type of moves we tend to do while dancing. I’ve worn the pants to #curling in the past as originally intended by #TeamUlsrud 😂 So I wore my #Norway #jersey instead and took a pic w/ Tessa who is the only one I know in San Diego who’s partly #Norwegian (she’s 1/4) 😂 Still bummed I didn’t get to meet @team.minera.skifer and cheer them on in person over Valentine’s weekend, but hopefully there’ll be other events in the near future. I have to say, I was surprised to wake up to news that @grandslamofcurling is coming to #LasVegas in 2021. I was thinking #ContCup2021 or maybe Worlds, but I’ll take a #GSOC on US soil! I’ll visit Canada eventually and stock up on @lofbergs coffee and Voltaren gel. . . Since they’re using @niklasedin in the promos, that means there’s no chance @teamniklasedin will withdraw from the event, right? I know certain events have eligibility requirements so I hope @team.minera.skifer will be competing at the #MeridianOpen 🙏🤞 I should have a Norway flag and scarf by then to be my usual extraAF self. I really hope to meet #TeamUlsrud someday, they post the best content on IG & FB and have been wonderful w/ fan engagement. Make sure you’re following them on social media! . . No word yet on where the Continental Cup will be come 2021 though. They wouldn’t host both the CC and a GSOC in Vegas back to back, right? Bummed I’m not in #Calgary for the #GlencoeInvitational this #ValentinesDay weekend. I really wanted to finally meet the new #TeamUlsrud aka @team.minera.skifer I was stoked when I first heard about it & waited with bated breath for more info. Unfortunately, the only way an American fangirl like me could’ve gotten tix to this exclusive soldout funspiel was to be the highest bidder on the last 4 tickets left made available recently. Yea I didn’t want to risk spending $$$$ on a trip to Canada for #curling w/o tix to the event. . . Silver lining might be that I won’t be getting thrown out of the venue for extreme fangirling 😂 I commissioned this curling #digitalart #fanart from @doodledarren who happens to be the Assistant Director of the hip hop dance group I’m in and a talented #artist He’s drawn me w/ @teamniklasedin & @saramcmanus in the past. The inspiration is of course me fangirling at the event, complete w/ a sign, the total opposite of real life. The only accurate thing about me in this photo is that I do own 🇳🇴 fancy pants. I unfortunately don’t have a 🥌🇨🇦 toque & will never own the new Team Edin hoodie from @dynastycurling . . Perhaps it’s for the best because meeting @niklasedin & Team Edin in Vegas last year has taught me there’s some truth to the saying Never Meet Your Heroes/Idols, because you’ll be disappointed. Why yes I DID show up to @curlsandiego ‘s #learntocurl session all decked out for #Norway 🇳🇴 I had been planning for this in anticipation of a Clash of the Nordic Titans Champery Masters final. I don’t have a pic, but it was so cold I had to put on my usual uniform of the @teamniklasedin hoodie from @dynastycurling before Learn To Curl actually got underway, and obviously I use the #TeamEdin @hardlinecurling broom so it was a perfect mashup. Sadly, #therealgoat 🐐@niklasedin & my Swedish Vikings were eliminated from competition during the QF so I’m deprived of a #TeamEdin vs #TeamUlsrud for now. Congrats to #TeamMineraSkifer on reaching the final. Rooting for you to win. But maybe the bigger congratulations should go to Nik - his @millu_se sponsorship must be lucrative enough that he can bribe @thomasulsrud to tell his “people” to try and lure me away from Team Edin through good old fashioned quality fan engagement on social media. Thank you for not having a Twitter account where you can mute my tweets for excessive fangirling. I know the #fancypantalones are retired, but these pants are a new addition to my collection and they were a huge hit among my fellow #CurlSanDiego members volunteering as Learn To Curl instructors. IDK if they’re lucky, but I was 🔥 during the mini game we played with the students on sheet B - 2 students were paired off w/ 2 current members on each team. It was the first time I skipped & actually threw last stones and I was nailing raises and even a super nice takeout of 2 stones in the house. Team Ulsrud will participate at the Continental Cup as a part of the Team World. 

Team World will also formed by Niklas Edin, Peter de Cruz, Anna Sidorova, Anna Hasselborg and Silvana Tirinzoni. 

Continental Cup will take place in London (Ontario) in January

Norway beat Canada last night and will play the World Championship’s final on sunday.

Ulsrudites are proud of Team Ulsrud, especially Thomas, our skip, who last night did a perfect game.

Today Sweden, Canada and Finland will fight for the other spot in the final.

Tonight Norway play against Canada the 1st vs. 2nd game at World Championship. The Winner will qualify for the final while the loser will should play the semifinal.

Norway got two wins yesterday at the World Championship. Team Ulsrud beat Scotland 11-6 and Sweden 6-5

The competition continues today in Halifax with two more games for Team Ulsrud. The first at 14:30 (local time) against Finland and later they will face Canada (19:30, local time)

Maybe you know that this week Team Ulsrud is representing Norway at the World Championship in Halifax (Canada) 

In the first two days of competition they get 2W and 1L 

Today the norwegian team plays two games against Scotland (9:30 local time) and Sweden (19:30 local time)

We will can watch the game against Sweden on Youtube. Yeah!
