I have dozens pictures of #cute #babygoats from Serenity Farm that I’ve never posted. Here’s an excuse to post a few more #goats on IG 🐐 Inspired by a fellow @teamniklasedin fangirl’s question to me on 🐐 @niklasedin ‘s post from Playitas... and because I wanted an excuse to use the Northern Ontario hat Brier 2020 hat #meme 😂 . . I think a YouTube channel is a cool idea, but it’s time-consuming and labor-intensive to make successful, and you really have to be passionate about it. The members of #TeamEdin pay the PA/CZ crew to maintain their social media accounts and there’s barely any activity or engagement on Twitter, IG, and FB as it is. I haven’t checked the team’s official website in a long time, but the last time I checked I remembered thinking how it hadn’t been updated in awhile. The last thing Team Edin needs is another platform to maintain whether personally or through a media professional, which costs money, and questionable ROI. Niklas and the rest of the team have to kick things up a notch leading up to the 2022 Olympics—start winning GSOC events, continue winning Worlds and Europeans, get back to being ranked number 1 in the world, and keep their eyes on the prize. Glad all 3 of the men in goatniklasedin are still in the hunt for the Boost National #GSOC title and will score me fantasy curling points in the QF, but bummed they’re on the same side of the bracket meaning only one of them can reach the final. As a hardcore fangirl, I can get used to seeing @teamniklasedin qualifying first for a GSOC QF, it’s been a rough couple of seasons. My friend Marty & his wife went to Canada & sent me pics from the #GSOC It solidified “attend a GSOC” on my bucket list. I have so many outfit options to pick from too! Super proud of the way @teamniklasedin played this past week - they were undefeated up until the final 👏 So happy to see 🐐 @niklasedin back w/ the team although Kevin Martin did say in his latest podcast that Nik’s in a lot of pain 🥺 Funny how Team Edin was not on anyone’s list for the GSOC picks to make playoffs on Inside Curling the previous week but both Kevin Martin & Warren Hansen had Edin to make the final the following week. Even if Nik wasn’t confirmed to play, Oskar, Rasmus & Crippa have proven themselves capable of playing & winning w/o Nik. . . I’m bummed that my #Icevengers didn’t win Team of the Year in the Swedish sports gala - they lost to a table tennis duo who won 2021 Worlds & 2022 European Championships in their discipline. Bruh Worlds & Olympic gold in the same year seems more impressive to me… but maybe Team Edin really aren’t that known or popular in Sweden. Table tennis seams like a more niche sport to me than #curling but that’s partly my bias since I curl & actively look for curling streams & content. I admit, it’s my bias to want to see Team Edin win everything. Glad they are still on top of the Pinty’s Cup leaderboard after reaching the finals yesterday. 2 games in, 2 wins in the books for @teamniklasedin 👏 My #Swedish #Icevengers defeated Team Ramsfjell 5-4 in the neighborly Nordic battle yesterday. I was hoping the featured game on YareTV tonight would be Edin v Gushue since both have 2-0 records so far, but alas, the featured game will be Carruthers v Flasch. I acknowledge my bias & hope that my Swedes ultimately win the #GSOC title come Sunday (or at the very least continue to fend off Team Gushue’s chase at the Pinty’s Cup). Canadians have long held lack of Olympic gold and the GSOC drought against Team Edin & nothing would make me happier than for them to win the Pinty’s Cup at the end of the season (after they win another Worlds gold for my birthday) 😜 . . #WBW to past Champery Masters, including 2016 and 2017 where 🐐 @niklasedin and @teamniklasedin won back to back titles. Wishing my Icevengers good luck on the 3peat. I hope the best lead in the world @cr1ppa arrived in Switzerland safe and sound (seems the rest of the team stayed in Geneva after MDBern). I confess, probably my favorite pic from the bunch might be that of 🐐 that I’ve previously turned into the REALLY BRO? meme 😂 . . No word yet on whether or not there’ll be livestream coverage on @worldcurlingtour ‘s YT (I keep checking), but their website has been updated w/ the list of matches (4 pools, 8 draws before playoffs). Relieved to see the 3 @svenskcurling teams in different pools so they don’t cannibalize each other right off the bat, though Team Edin seems to be in the tougher side and have to play 4 games instead of 3 given the number of teams in each pool. I of course made myself a draw schedule and score sheet, because that’s just how I roll. It’s a good thing I’m an insomniac who doesn’t sleep. . . In the 4 seasons I’ve been a fan of 🐐 @niklasedin Mixed Doubles Bern was the first event where I’ve noticed him wearing ankle socks & TBH I’m all discombobulated. Such flagrant display of skin is more the MO of Magnus Vagberg from Team Minera Skifer or Brendan Bottcher, but never the legendary #curling 🐐 who’s often worn crew socks w/ the Swedish Curling Federation logo on them, that is, if the socks are even visible to begin with. Similar to my reaction to this morning’s livestream of McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic QF where Team Koe gave up a steal of 2 when they had hammer in the 8th - MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!! 😂 I LOVE socks, especially knee high socks. I rarely wear ankle socks. Definitely not for curling, it’s too cold 🥶 . . This totally makes me think of Zach Kornfeld of the Try Guys #hotankles 😂 I can just hear Eugene groaning. I’ve known about the Try Guys since their Buzzfeed days because my sis Margaret is a huge fangirl but it wasn’t til this summer that I really got into them - I’ve seen all the main channel’s videos thanks to Covid and have been watching YB’s vids & even checking out the podcasts. TBH, I was a little bummed when it looked like the game was headed for an early concession halfway through because I had been waiting 6 draws to finally see the #curling 🐐 in action only to have the game end early. Well, much to the Swiss curlers’ credit, they kept pushing through. In MD, it’s quite common to score multiple points in an end so a lot can happen in 4 ends. I would never curl w/ just ankle socks on, my feet/legs would get too cold. ICYMI @p4varmland interviewed 🐐 @niklasedin recently about the ramifications of #curling being cut short due to the #covid19 global pandemic. I gave up trying to learn #Swedish over a year ago so I didn’t really understand the interview, but luckily one of the Rockheads on FB (who was quite happy he beat me at sharing Niklas Edin news lol) gave a translated summary. I remember Devin Heroux’s article immediately after the Olympics about funding cuts from the Swedish Olympic committee, and the team has not had much luck winning GSOCs and other tournaments besides Worlds and Euros the past couple of seasons. Now they’re hit w/ a global pandemic and a super long curling hiatus. I hope my Icevengers come back even stronger than ever. I have to say, I was surprised to wake up to news that @grandslamofcurling is coming to #LasVegas in 2021. I was thinking #ContCup2021 or maybe Worlds, but I’ll take a #GSOC on US soil! I’ll visit Canada eventually and stock up on @lofbergs coffee and Voltaren gel. . . Since they’re using @niklasedin in the promos, that means there’s no chance @teamniklasedin will withdraw from the event, right? I know certain events have eligibility requirements so I hope @team.minera.skifer will be competing at the #MeridianOpen 🙏🤞 I should have a Norway flag and scarf by then to be my usual extraAF self. I really hope to meet #TeamUlsrud someday, they post the best content on IG & FB and have been wonderful w/ fan engagement. Make sure you’re following them on social media! . . Not much time for @teamniklasedin to enjoy their victory at the Continental Cup. The reigning World champs are off to another competition - the #MeridianCanadianOpen in #Yorkton #Saskatchewan Lycka till guys, goatniklasedin is counting on you to score lots of fantasy curling points 👊💪 The tricky thing about the triple knockout format is that it’s hard to project which side of the bracket my teams will end up in and avoid taking each other out too early. It also makes for a pretty slim draw schedule in that you don’t know who you’re playing against next round until fairly late...
