I assume the folks at @hardlinecurling are sleeping right now because it’s 3am, but when they wake up I hope they’ll be delighted to see 🐐 @niklasedin repping the #HardlineNation so hard at #MixedDoublesBern I’m so glad to see this hat instead of the trusty blue hat #sorrynotsorry 😬 Still not sold on #TeamHat for Nik’s #mixeddoubles #curling hashtag but as many curlers have said in countless shot discussions on the ice - I don’t hate it 😂 It’s also shorter than #TeamCraft which is in reference to the company that made the black shirts all @svenskcurling team members wore for their official photos *cough length matters* . . While live tweeting Draw 1 I notes that TH going into an EE can be filed in the Niklas Edin will be the death of me department. I also wondered if Nik is better at mixed doubles than he is as skip of @teamniklasedin I guess we’ll find out eventually 🤔 What if he ends up qualifying for both MD & team for the 2022 Olympics? Will the SCF allow him to pull a Hamilton? Or will it be Oskar who’ll be in that position? What if the 2022 Olympics gets postponed or cancelled because COVID-19 is still around? . . I gave the event organizers props on FB for the quality of their website, FB, and YT stream. Much appreciated by this hardcore fangirl who has no life, never sleeps, and doesn’t fit in in the curling community. The Swiss Curling Association is the MVP of curling right now. Things are off to a good start for 3 of the 5 @svenskcurling #mixeddoubles teams competing at the #MixedDoublesBern event this weekend. @TeamAjiwa @WranaaCurling & 🐐 @niklasedin & Emma all won their games this morning. @teamheldinmagnusson & DeVal/Eriksson are playing now in Draw 2. . . #LyckaTill to all 5 @svenskcurling #mixeddoubles teams competing at the MixedDoublesBern event this weekend. They released the A Road bracket for the 32 teams competing on FB, but the photos are really hard to read on my phone so I made myself a much easier to read version (maybe I’ll include those to this post too). . . Not sure what the livestream and linescores situation is for this event, but according to the website, last year’s event was streamed on Peak Curl’s YT & Curling Zone also seemed to have the event’s scores and brackets. The photos on FB has the WCT’s logo so I hope they’ll provide livestreams, score updates, and maybe even commentary 🙏🤞 IDK what the backstory is to the 2.0 Cup, but while it had livestream (which I was very grateful for), it seemed it was not an officially sanctioned WCT event & there were instances when scores weren’t updated (presumably due to lack of staff/volunteers/manpower at the event). . . Seems pandemic policies in Europe remain the same - Sweden’s not on the naughty list & Swedes can fly in and out of Switzerland w/ relative ease. I guess this saves members of @teamniklasedin money from hotels/accomodations instead of doing what Team Van Dorp is doing (living in Switzerland for a few weeks). Hope Champery Masters is still a go & that Team Edin can get another win this season, but I’m getting ahead of myself here. Focus this weekend is on MD. . .
