I watched The Shape of Water for the first time last night. And while, yeah, fish fucker movie, I'm currently sitting here drawing the fish man himself while listening to romantic music and it has me so deep in thought about the purity of unabashed acceptance. That movie is so perfect and fills you with such an intense longing because imagine being loved so wholeheartedly by someone who has no concept of the broken things about you as broken. They are not things you are missing. They are simply you. Someone who doesn't love you despite how different you are, someone who just loves you purely for everything you bring to the relationship and couldn't care less what you "don't have" or who you aren't. They just love this person in front of them for the kindness they have been shown. The beautiful soul who has reached out to them. And I just... have a lot of emotions rn...

to me, caduceus multiple times stating how exhausted and tired he is to tmn (including in response to being asked a question.. just too tired to think about it anymore) is spoonie evidence . yes he kept going with tmn on adrenalin and wanting to help them but he was saying it even more at the end of th campaign and he really should get to lay down more . otherwise i think he is dizzy and brainfoggy and has a wonky heart-rate

7: Describe them in three words. Now let them describe themself in three words.

Tal: i would describe them as a paranoid vengeful ghost. they very rarely feel 100% real/grounded/connected to the world, and i wonder what they think their life will be once they're done with their unfinished business? i doubt they've considered it at all.

tal doesn't like to talk about themself, and they would make a lot of excuses to not do so, but after some thinking they would settle on tired, hardworking, and anxious.

Ripley: i see ripley as defiant, terrified, and passionate. he puts his whole heart into everything, which only makes it more terrifying when everything goes wrong. better to push everyone away and never face the vulnerability than to risk that heartbreak again.

if you tried to ask ripley to describe himself in three words, first he'd tell you "No," (probably while flipping you off), then he'd try to get out of it like "okay, three words: 'some fucking guy?' is that good enough? how about 'self proclaimed cunt'." with a lot of complaining and eye-rolling, he'd say "pissed-off, tired freak." (he's not good with words. and did i mention the defiance? yeah.)

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

(other than the sidestep typical recurring dreams, of course.)

Tal: tal dreams of faceless people and body-less hands. they dream of being the last person on earth. in their dreams, they always run too slow and speak too quietly, and even when they try to scream, it comes out as a stage whisper. they dream of glass boxes, display cases, a Los Diablos out of a museum diorama where the clouds are too fluffy and the light is too fluorescent. the people are plastic and the eyes are gawking back at them through the glass.

on the rare occasion they have a good dream, they dream of Ortega. simple pleasures. skin against skin without fear. on a good night, they could feel her hair in their fingertips as they braid it. hear her laugh recorded in a memory and remember the warmth as they press their lips to the back of her neck. on a good night, they could feel vivid, real and whole for a moment. but mostly, in their dreams, they are nothing. faceless and static and alone.

Ripley: ripley is especially prone to nightmares. being trapped. restrained. paralyzed. nightmares about the buzz of hot metal against his teeth, about freefall. the suspense of weightlessness, and the dread, because he knows what will come next, by universal law. he dreams of falling. falling. falling. a landing that knocks the wind out of him, hitting his head against the cold exam table beneath him, writhing, strapped in place. he dreams about blood in his mouth and a smile on his face.

he dreams of an endless cycle. trapped → escaped → free → captured → trapped. he isn't sure which part of the cycle he is in by the time he wakes up. he dreams of cinderblocks. and running. running as fast as he can, as far as his legs will take him, hoping those familiar restraints don't come for his ankles, dragging him down. dragging him away. dragging him back.

in his good dreams, he feels powerful. he has sunlight on his face and wind in his hair. his lungs are full of fresh air and he doesn't have anything to be afraid of. he still runs in these dreams- he can't imagine a life where he isn't running from something. but his weightlessness is ever fleeting joy and pride, without all the weight of guilt and anger he's used to. he wakes up from these dreams just as shaken as he wakes up from nightmares.

Any time Taliesin plays a homebrew class, he always ends up inflicting damage to himself somehow:

Percy- psychic damage upon a misfire due to Animus (formerly Ripley's gun)

Molly- necrotic damage from activating a Crimson Rite, actually ends up killing him in C2 during the fight with Lorenzo

So for Campaign 3, since Taliesin revealed during 4SD that Ashton was formerly an aasimar before becoming an earth genasi (due to a surge of elemental power or a tampering with the Planes AHEM AHEM HISHARI CULT AHEM AHEM see the flashback in ep 34) and the aforementioned trend, here's my prediction on what kind of aasimar he is/was:

Just... the mental image of this combined with the light show on the side of Ashton's head when they rage AND the current path the character is on... that would be some really cool stuff

I don’t know if you’ve heard yet or not, but during the Cooldown for last night’s episode, Taliesin suggested to Robbie that he play Kingsley for the Nein’s fight against the Weave Mind. Idk if that’s what’s actually gonna happen but I feel like it’s our surest route to more Kingsley and I think Robbie would have a lot of fun with him 👀

AHHH whOOOO yES I saw that part it was so neat; ; it’s been a bit hard for me to keep up with some of the episodes lately, so sometimes I just cheat a little and lookup the recaps and cooldowns until I have time to watch the whole thing lmao. so I haven’t seen the new episode yet but I saw the cooldown and!!

It was definitely interesting how excited Taliesin was when he said he had ideas and immediately suggested Robby for Kingsley. I feel like Robby would absolutely have a lot of fun with it and do an awesome job with the character, and I also think it’s a neat pick because Robby narrates the Lucien novel!! So I wonder if he’d be interested in tying in some of that, or linking his interpretation of King to his experience with the book, that’d be fun—

But I’m also a bit torn because it does make me sad to think I’ll get to see the purple tief again but it won’t be Taliesin ; ; I would be so excited for more King in any capacity, and I think Robby would make a cool Plank King Kingsley for sure. I just hope one day we still get to see Taliesin play Tealeaf with the Nein again, it’d just warm my whole heart

Yes I am!! :D Im enjoying huevember allowing me to make art for all my interests, including CR and the locked tomb series hahaha

Campaign 3 is the only one I’ve been able to keep up with and watch live every week, but I’m a big fan of the characters from C2 even if I havent watched the entire campaign—I went to see the Echoes of the Solstice in the movie theatre, which was awesome!! I’m a fan of Vox Machina through the animated tv show, and also EXU, and Calamity, and Candela Obscura (I’m actually SO obsessed with Candela Obscura rn) (if you’re reading this and haven’t watched I highly recommend it)

Campaign 3 is so great! I’m enjoying it a ton. I’m pretty much nocturnal so the 10pm-2am broadcast works really well, I put it on to watch with my best friend every week and get a ton of work done.

I appreciate people who are also in multiple fandoms expressing that theyre happy to see me make art for my other interests!! :D
