Homare: Might you be inside, Tasuku-kun?

Tasuku: Yeah, I am.

[Door opening]

Homare: Hello, Tasuku-kun.

Tasuku: Are you… filming again?

Tsumugi: Are you doing a VLOG?

Homare: Precisely.

Homare: I am planning to have this VLOG played at the screening party, just as I did with the Birthday Event.

Tasuku: There’s the screening and a talk show this time, you won’t have time for that.

Tasuku: It wasn’t so bad that I couldn’t fit into my costume, but he noticed immediately.

Homare: ’Tis as Guy-san just said. I am certain Yuki-kun’s trained eye is the only one that can tell the difference.

Homare: Understood.

Guy: We’ll be going now.

Izumi: Oh, Tasuku-san!

Izumi: Just as Guy-san said, I think you’ll be fine, too.

Izumi: Yuki-kun probably keeps a close watch on your body, so he can notice even the smallest of changes…

Izumi: And I think Homare-san can tell because he’s seen you in this costume more than anyone else.

TickleTober Day #19: Costumes

Junta x Takato (Dakaichi)

The way Junta stared at him when he got home, Takato had a brief moment of insecurity, wondering if this had been a good idea.

He hadn’t warned his boyfriend; had wanted to surprise him for a change, taking the initiative by thinking up a roleplay idea they hadn’t done before (well, catching sight of the costumes at work and getting inspired, but still) and getting everything set up on his own as a sort of gift for him. He hadn’t exactly known what to expect when Junta saw what he’d done, but the look of utter shock and panic on his partner’s face was not among the top ten reactions he’d anticipated.

However, before he could open his mouth to say anything, the look melted away, replaced by what he had expected (and hoped for) – a look of complete glee, followed by his boyfriend snatching his own costume from the hanger and bolting back out of the room, shouting that he had to get into character.

Takato let out a sigh of relief, though he still trembled a little. Admittedly, handcuffing himself to Junta’s bed in a prisoner’s orange jumpsuit had been risky, but he’d counted on his lover getting home to discover him, and it had all paid off. Now he just had to brace himself.

“Now, then…” Junta said in a much calmer manner as he reentered the room in his officer’s uniform, a wicked smirk on his lips. “Let’s have some fun, shall we, criminal?”

Takato shivered as Junta climbed onto the bed with him. He took a breath and did his best to get into character as well. “Whatever you do to me, it won’t make me change my behavior. You can’t make me a good man.”

Junta slipped out of character quicker than anticipated at that, a genuine grin crossing his features. “Ooh, good line.”

“W-What was with that look on your face when you came in?” Tatako stammered out the question as Junta got started, kissing his neck. “You looked scared. It made me worry.”

“Oh, that?” Junta hummed. “I was just freaked out because I thought someone had broken in and done this to you. Once I realized what was happening, I was fine. Why?” he teased, gently scribbling his fingers along Takato’s bare ribs under the open jumpsuit. “Were you afraid I wouldn’t like it?”

“Ah! Ch-Chuhuhuhuhuhunta!” Takato whined, reluctant giggles spilling out of him as he squirmed, unable to go anywhere thanks to his own stupid plan. “Dohohohohohon’t!”

“You’re cute.” Junta leaned down to kiss his lips briefly, swinging a leg over to straddle his waist as he playfully growled, “And you can’t get away from me like this, can you, ticklish little bad boy?”

“Nohohohohohohoho!” Takato squealed, bursting into helpless laughter as his boyfriend ramped up his attack, poking and scratching and raking along every ticklish spot he’d discovered in their time together. “Chuhuhuhuhuhuhunta, plehehehehehehease!”

“Please what? I don’t hear you asking me to stop~”

Takato was going to murder him when he got out of this, and then he’d have to wear the jumpsuit for real. But then again…

It wasn’t like he absolutely hated this turn of events, either.

I absolutely adore the new Impmon line. Apparently so much so I wrote a wall of text gushing about it, but I'll put that under the cut to spare those who don't care's dash.

Where do I start, there's so much to love about this gift. The punk and reptilian ascetic blends perfectly into Beelzemon with his biker look and his lizard tail/claws so if you didn't want to go with the Megidramon mega you can swap in Beelzemon just fine. I honestly like it better thematically than the Wizardmon -> Baalmon line, (even though Baalmon is cooler aesthetically) it always bothered me that Wizardmon felt tacked on and slightly out of place since it wasn't a virus. I know the X antibody forms helped fold them together more design wise, and they're an awesome line, but that still doesn't fix the non-x line for me... not that all digimon need a clean and clear through line persay, but you know.

I've seen people call it "Just a recolor" and I feel like it's so much more than that. I've always liked the regional variants in Pokémon becuase they breathe new life into old designs while still making a unique feeling creature. It's the same principle here.

And while it's sad we didn't get a full canon Beelstarmon line, I like this so much more. And I feel like Impmon -> Witchmon -> LadyDevimon already fits Beelstarmon just as much as Wizardmon/Baalmon fits Beelzemon, so I don't really feel the need for a full new Fem line for Beelstarmon.

And the connections to Guilmom are just... chef's kiss. People have pointed out that Guilmon has a good sorcer line with FlareWizardmon -> Mistymon -> MedievalDukemon that matches up well with Impmon's Wizardmon line so Impmon getting a reptilian line to match up with Guilmon is just so cool. And it makes it all the cooler that Impmon was originally going to be Takato's partner, apparently.

I feel like I'm rambling, I just wanted to gush about the Punk Growlmon. After years of the Impmon line feeling rocky and incomplete on some levels, I feel like all is finally right with the world and my ocd with its line can finally rest. I don't like remembering the dark days where the best line we had was Meramon -> Skull/DeathMeramon -> Beelzemon. It gives me war flashbacks.

Now I need a Galletmon/Dukemon and Beelzemon jogress. Give it to me Bandai.

Okay I'll actually shut up now. Thank you for reading my pointless rant.

Yuki: True. It does seem like there’s a pretty wide range of ages.

Sakyo: So you were able to successfully resolve that fight from earlier, Takato?

Tasuku: Yeah, they were able to work things out.

Misumi: Thank you for working so hard to serve customers while I was away from the booth, Masumi!

Masumi: It’s not like I really did that much, I had Director helping me out a bit, and all that really matters is that you managed to sort things out.

Izumi: I’m not only grateful for Misumi-kun and Tasuku-san, but I’m also grateful for the rest of you guys for being so adaptable and accommodating while those two were gone. So, thanks, everyone.

Izumi: The audience is a little different from the kind we’re used to, but make sure to have fun performing like you always do, okay?

Envelope: “How many days did it take you to deliver that letter from the other day?”

Riffle: “I mean, the place was pretty far away, so.”

Envelope: “Regardless, it arrived way too late. What the hell were you doing…?”

Letra: “Whoa, Envelope-san’s really scary. I’m really glad that Tiga-san is my mentor!”

Stamp: “You’re supposed to call them senpai.”

Stamp: “Anyway, Tiga-senpai isn’t really all that different from Envelope-senpai, though.”

Letra: “He’s at least nicer when he gets mad!”

Tiga: “Stamp’s right. Both you and Riffle need to learn to stop taking detours and start taking your deliveries more seriously.”

Carta: “Even though Stamp is a newer employee, she knows just how important letters are and works very diligently.”

Carta: “That’s what we’re expecting from you and Riffle, Letra.”

Letra: “Got it, Chief Carta.”

Letra: “...That said~, I don’t even really know what a letter is exactly…”

Izumi: (New delivery employees usually deliver things together with the guidance of a senior employee, but sometimes they get to go out on their own to make deliveries.)

Izumi: (Taking letters by hand to places they’ve never heard of and heading in completely different directions after roughly deciding which way they’re supposed to go…)

Izumi: (The two newbies continue to do their work adequately every day.)

Letra: “Which house does this letter need to be delivered to~? Riffle, look for it with your binoculars!”

Riffle: “Got it. I’ll check right away.”

*Phone buzzes*

Riffle: “!”

Riffle: “…”

Letra: “Hm? Wasn’t that your terminal just now, Riffle?”

Riffle: “...It’s fine. Probably just someone trying to ask about my car’s extended warranty or something.”

Letra: “Huuuh…?”

Izumi: (One day, Letra and Tiga return from a long-distance delivery and are greeted by Stamp.)

Stamp: “Welcome back. Everyone’s doing deliveries right now. I’m just about to head out to do a delivery too, so if anyone shows us, make sure to deal with them. Later.”

Letra: “Okay, got it, see you later.”

Man: “…Um, excuse me…”

Tiga: “There’s a customer. Letra, you go help him.”

Letra: “Got it. …Hello~, do you have something to be delivered?”

Man: “I’d like to have this letter delivered, but…”

Letra: “You’ve even got a stamp on it. Alright, here, allow me to deliver it for you.”

Man: “…Wait, really?”

Letra: “? Yeah, I mean, that’s my job, so…”

Man: “Right. Then… please deliver this for me.”

*Man runs off*

Letra: “We hope you come again.”

Letra: “Okay, and the destination is… Huh, that’s…”

Tiga: “What’s wrong?”

Letra: “Nothing, just… It looks like it’s just addressed to Riffle instead of having a delivery address, but…”

Letra: “A letter for Riffle from someone who doesn’t even know his address, doesn’t it make that guy seem kinda suspicious…?”

Tiga: “...We’re not the ones to be the judge of that. Let’s go talk to the Chief.”

Izumi: (Tiga also doesn’t have many of the details, but he tells Letra about the circumstances that led to Envelope becoming Riffle’s mentor.)

Izumi: (Having been told to give the letter to him, Letra gives it to Riffle when he returns from his delivery.)

Letra: “Riffle, I was told to deliver this letter to you.”

Riffle: “…Gh!”

*Riffle runs off*

Letra: “Wait, Riffle…!?”

Izumi: (Riffle reads the letter, gets upset, and crushes the letter in his hand as he leaves without saying a word. And the following day, he calls in sick…)

Izumi: (At first, they thought Riffle would come back soon, but a whole month passed and he still hadn’t returned.)

Izumi: (Letra then goes to ask the Chief when he’ll be back.)

Carta: “...I’ve been treating it as a leave of absence, however, Riffle has actually handed in his letter of resignation. It’s very possible that he won’t come back.”

Letra: “What…!?”

Letra: “But we came to this post office together… What’s the big deal, Riffle…!?”

Izumi: (At first, Letra wasn’t so sure about him, but gradually, he started to get to know Riffle more.)

Letra: “That guy who sent him the letter’s gotta know something. I remember the sender’s address. I’m gonna go and pay that guy a visit…!”

Letra: “If that’s what I’m deciding to do then… Excuse me, Tiga-senpai! I wanna take the day off today…”

Tiga: “...You’re planning on tracking down the person who sent Riffle the letter, aren’t you?”

Letra: “Uegh… Busted…”

Envelope: “If that’s where you’re headed, one day won’t be enough. I’ll approve three days of leave for you.”

Envelope: “...Please bring back Riffle. Even someone like him can end up being a cute kouhai.”

Letra: “Envelope-senpai… Yeah, leave it to me! I’m headed out now!

Letra: “Wait, here!? That’s a really big house! That’s obviously some sorta super-rich guy’s mansion!”

Man: “...Huh?”

Man & Letra: “Ah, it’s you!” 

Izumi: (Letra tells the man about how Riffle saw the letter and resigned. Tiga is stunned by how direct he is…)

Man: “No way, did he really…?”

Letra: “How do you know Riffle?”

Lease: “My name’s Lease. Riffle is my little brother.”

Letra: “You’re Riffle’s big bro!? Wait, so Riffle’s some super loaded rich kid!?” 

Lease: “He’s always been treated like a failure by our family…”

Lease: “I promised that as his older brother, I’d always be there to protect and help him, but I couldn’t keep my promise because I was sent to study abroad to be educated as the family’s heir.” 

Letra: “I never knew that about Riffle…”

Lease: “We kept in touch at first, but then things got busy and we just sort of naturally stopped talking.”

Lease: “And when I finally came back just recently from studying abroad, Riffle was gone from home.”

Lease: “I looked into things and found out that he was being treated even worse after I had left.”

Lease: “I think he sent me a letter before he left home, but no one at home ever delivered it to me.”

Letra: “Oh, I see… But I wonder why Riffle went outta his way to send a letter instead of just messaging you.”

Lease: “I was always so busy every day that I didn’t have the time to take the time to talk to him, so I’ve basically been communicating with Riffle through letters ever since we were little.”

Tiga: “For Riffle, those letters were probably the only way he could really talk to his older brother. They were probably like an emotional support for him.”

Letra: “Those letters were important to Riffle…?”

Tiga: “I’d say probably.”

Lease: “But I didn’t have the courage to meet up with Riffle and face him directly… That’s why I sent him such a bland, innocuous letter.”

Tiga: “Is that so…”

Letra: “...I never woulda thought that Riffle’s upbringing was worse than mine.”

Letra: “I get it now. Riffle was treating letters so carelessly despite being someone who’d know the importance of them because he was betrayed by them.”

Letra: “...Lease-san. If you think about it as being for Riffle’s sake, can you please write him a letter with all your thoughts and feelings about him in it?”

Lease: “But…”

Letra: “Do you want how things are with Riffle now to stay the way they are?”

Lease: “...No, I don’t want that… Got it, I’ll write one right away. Please wait for me at that cafe over there.”

Izumi: (And so, while on the way back after receiving the letter from Lease…)

Letra: “I wonder why Riffle even became a delivery person.”

Tiga: “This is just speculation, but… My guess would be that he couldn’t let go of his memories of his brother, or maybe that he still had hope for his brother in a letter… Or something like that.”

Letra: “I see… For some reason, I feel like it might be both of those things for Riffle…”

Izumi: (As soon as they arrive at the post office, Letra makes his way straight to Riffle’s house. He thought that Tiga would be coming with him, but…)

Tiga: “No, I think it’s best if you go alone, Letra. We’ll be waiting for you at the post office tomorrow. Now, go and give Riffle his older brother’s thoughts and feelings.”

Letra: “Yeah, got it.”

Letra: “Time for me to send the thoughts and feelings of a loved one to Riffle properly.”

[ENG Translation] Uryu's Character Episodes featuring Soun

originally i wasn't planning on translating these (or anything in general lol), but i've been undergoing such brainrot for these two especially since learning what happens in the main story that i had to do Something WHJGDJGH

just as a note, i use the default name (noa) for the agent. i do lean towards a localization style with my translations, but i'm also far from fluent in jpn so please feel free to correct me if you see any mistakes! thank you! the translations are compiled together under the cut, hope y'all enjoy 🫶

Character Episode: Favorite Place

Uryu: (I could have handled today’s business negotiations better… How frustrating….

???: Let’s wait here.

Uryu: (Over there on that bench is…)

Uryu: Soun-san…?

Soun: You’re Takato’s…

Drunk Woman: Hmmm, I can go for more drinks~ Soun, gimme another glass of wine…

Uryu: The woman leaning on you seems to be drunk…

Uryu: Is she a customer from Wisdom?

Soun: …She is, yes. I’ve called a cab for her, so now we’re just waiting.

Uryu: I see… That’s… a lot to deal with for your job, isn’t it?¹

Soun: It may be, but the work is worth it.

Uryu: Oh?

Soun: What about you? What are you doing here?

Uryu: I… wanted to enjoy the night breeze a bit, so I found myself out here.

Soun: Is that so?

Uryu: Yes.

¹ he originally says その･･････大変ですね which is just like "that's... tough, isn't it" which i feel like is clunky as it is, so i tried to make it flow a little smoother and feel more in character for uryu

Noa: Excuse me! Sorry to drop by while you’re so busy before opening… I’ll just give these to you and go.

Soun: Wait there. It would be discourteous to you as guests if I didn’t serve you.

Noa: Oh, you made tea? Thank you very much.

Uryu: Is this… matcha?

Soun: It is, but I can get you something else if you’d like.

Uryu: No, it’s fine… Thank you.

Uryu: Ah…

Soun: Is something the matter?

Uryu: Not at all, this tea is excellent.

Noa: It’s very delicious, with a hint of sweetness.

Soun: Is that so?

Noa: Here are the documents on the virtual battle system that we discussed over the phone.

Soun: I’ll look them over.

Uryu: Our company has taken great care to collect the data in these documents.¹ Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Soun: Understood.

Uryu: Um, excuse me…

Soun: What is it?

Uryu: Usually, most places would serve their customers green tea.² Why serve us matcha?

Soun: Because I’ve been thinking about holding a Japanese-themed event at the lounge soon.

Noa: That sounds nice. So you and the others will be making tea?

Soun: We intend to, yes.

Noa: Wow, that’ll be a sight to see³. I’m sure the customers will be excited about it.

Uryu: (I might be overthinking, but… this matcha tea tastes just like my favorite.)

Uryu: (Could it be that Soun-san went out of his way to find out what blend I liked?)

Uryu: (I mean I’ve never talked to him before, so how would he know? No, it’s just a coincidence… Right…?)

¹ i did tweak this to sound a little fancier than a literal translation since uryu takes his job seriously, but the gist of it is the same

² the original line is お茶なら普通に煎茶で良かったはずです, which translates to something like "if it's tea, sencha (green tea) would have been fine" but i feel like that sounds clunky in english... i tried to convey something that had a similar meaning and flows better

³ the original line is へえ、絵になりそう which is literally something like "wow, that [sight] would be perfect for a picture" and y'all have no idea how much i wanted to translate that as "wow, Aesthetic" FJKSDJKFDS 😭

What are your guy’s thoughts on Tommy/Tomoki Himi? I know Takuya cares a lot about him as a brother figure, but I’d love to hear what the others think about the kid. Personally, I think he deserves all the hugs.

Considering that Tomoki is really funny in a post-series material (i mean, the stage reading from DigiFes2022), their dynamics would be funny. BTW keep in mind that the main focus for this blog is that AU thing i've been re-writing and doodling shenanigans (again) since 2022. (the original AU was from 2012 though)

The protags are all their current ages in year 2011-2012 in their respective universes.

OG Taichi is the oldest so he got a little bit more maturity. He sees Tomoki as a little brother as well?

Daisuke and we also know he's good with kids and peeps younger than him (gestures to Iori and Rui respectively, and in this AU setting, Tagiru, Taiki, Yuu and Miho) -- so I guess he also sees Tomoki as a little bro? Besides, Tomoki might be around Iori's age so it's not a big difference in their relationship (except Iori is more...serious?)

Takato is the second oldest but he's pretty chill so I guess he gets along with Tomoki.

Masaru is around Rui's age (1992 baby) so he might be a cool bro to Tomoki as well, but he might not be that different than the others?

Taiki is younger than Tomoki so i guess Tomoki is the one who treats him as a little bud. Taiki is also polite and chill so I guess he's fine with Tomoki?

LXW AU Tagiru is not thaaaat unhinged, but he's still some sort of chaotic happy puppy type, so Tomoki is PROBABLY being another bad influence on him (ah... I did it again, right? Gumdramon and Tomoki share the SAME Japanese VA lol) -- I'd be concerned in this case 🤣

Reboot Taichi, Haru and Hiro are young peeps and they get might not have strong opinions on Tomoki, except they just have some respect and distance from him -- not in the sense of "avoiding" Tomoki and yes that they're not that close in their relationship charts compared to Takuya. The others but Takki might not be closer to Tomoki either.

Also, on another note... Rui might be okayish with him as well, but he's not even closer to Tomoki and i didn't include him in the AU until late year so he's just the kind of trying to hang out with the other anime protags but keep some distance from them? The only person (or people) he's closer to is Daisuke (because he's Dai's boyfriend) and perhaps... Tagiru via Daisuke?

Digimon Tamers - Episode 37

This episode was decent, but had a major case of the uglies. Everyone was off model, but Lopmon and Terriermon got it the worst with their faces changing drastically from frame to frame. It was actually kinda charming in how derpy things looked, but it definitely took away from the drama.

Notes:

I understand Jian's frustration with Shiuchon, but he crossed a line when he hit her. Not cool >:/ Glad Hirokazu and Kenta did something useful for once and offered to stay behind with her and Juri. Finally they serve a purpose!

The best looking thing in this episode was definitely all of the background art, but that's because they didn't need to animate it lol. Still, I like this "ominous final boss" setting

So the "God" all the deva have been referring to was Zhuqiaomon (what a mouthful). Aren't there like multiple Gods though? What are the other digi Gods doing rn? Are there multiple "religions" in the digital world?

Sooo Culumon is a "Digi-Entelechia" which, according to Google, is Latin/Italian for entelechy which is a concept Aristotle came up with that boils down to "the inherent force which controls and directs the activities and development of a living being." Whew! I guess that pretty much fits what Culumon does to a T. Seems like a ridiculously grandiose term for such a silly creature tho lol

I kinda think Zhuqiaomon is a little too close to a Birdramon/Phoenixmon combo in design. It's a "meh" design for me. I felt like I couldn't appreciate it much in this episode because it was mostly obscured by flames/hard to make out in general

Was glad to see that Terriermon wasn't perfectly fine after falling into a pit last episode. That raised the stakes a bit.

The scene where Guardromon just watches Shiuchon fly off into the abyss made me laugh out loud. Hirokazu's partner would be a big dumb idiot lol

Shiuchon wanting to fight for Lopmon but not quite knowing how was adorable.

Whelp, I was wrong. I guess everyone's fusing with their digimon partner now. Why are they still calling it "Matrix Evolution" that's confusing...Really liked the transformation sequence and I like SaintGalgomon's design too! I think the ultimate forms are looking much better than the perfects. Kind of feels like more care was put in.

With the ultimate forms, I wonder how much of the designs were inspired by the human characters? I don't really know that Dukemon gives off Takato vibes (same for SaintGalgomon and Jian). I guess they are more human-shaped though.

I was glad to see that Zhuqiaomon wasn't defeated so easily (I'd be mad if just SaintGalgomon was enough), but I'm also really sick of the "okay, we win! -pause for 2 seconds- OH NO! He's actually totally fine!!" twist. You're not fooling anyone Digimon, you've done this a zillion times.

i've seen the pokemon AU ya did and i got to say i love it, but this is not an ask for the pokemon AU mo, this is an ask for a Digimon AU, well if ya seen digimon that is, ask is for an older rika fighting with pyrrha over jaune

Oh boy... I'm gonna need to do some research because it has been a long, long, long, long, long, long, long TIME since I got involved with Digimon.

Hopefully I can do it some justice.

Jaune and Noramon looked to the top of the steps to see Rika with her hands on her hips, looking angrily down at the two of them.

"What's up, Rika?" Jaune asked, not noticing Nora sliding his plate into her massive maw.

"I demand a rematch!" She swiftly made her way down the steps before thrusting a finger in his direction. "Last time was a fluke, and I'm not leaving until I'm satisfied!"

"Are you sure?" Jaune asked. "Can't it wait until after lunch?"

"Fine," she crossed her arms, "but as soon as your plate's clean, we're going to fight right here."

"Fine by me." Jaune said. He turned away from her and saw his plate was licked clean. His eyes bulged before looking to Noramon, who was rubbing her ball-like belly. With a belch, she returned to her normal, tiny-body, big-head self. "H-Hey, Noramon? Where's my lunch?"

"I ate it!" Noramon cheerily answered. "Why?"

"Oh, nothing." He sighed. "I just didn't realize breakfast was my last meal." He stood up. "Okay, Rika. If you're looking for a fight, we'll give you one."

"Good!" She said, giving a smirk beside Renamon.

"Even if it is one on an empty stomach." He groaned under his breath.

"Hold it." The two looked to their side and saw Pyrrha approaching confidently with LieRenmon sleepwalking behind her. He stumbled a bit when she stopped, but continued to sleep soundly regardless. "Jaune's not fighting anyone without my say-so."

"Oh?" Rika glared at Pyrrha. "And why is that?"

"Jaune is my student, so unless it's a real life-or-death scenario, Jaune and Noramon will only face myself and LieRenmon."

LieRenmon stirred a bit at this and let out a yawn. At his side was Noramon, who was hugging his taller, thinner body. His body involuntarily bent over and his head tapped hers. She looked up and rubbed her face against his.

"Boop!"

"Well, if we have to get through you to take on Jaune, then so be it." She glanced to Renamon. "Ready to show her what we can do?"

Renamon nodded, stepping in front of Rika. LieRenmon yawned and toddled his way out of Nora's grasp and between Pyrrha and his opponent. The two tamers glared past their Digimons, emerald green eyes challenging and being challenged by lavender violet eyes. Jaune looked to Noramon, who was already at the vending machine, her hands holding his wallet.

"W-Wait! Nora!"

Meanwhile, not far away, Takato and Guilmon were watching from above the steps Rika descended earlier. They both looked to one another and sighed. Just another day in this small town for them.
