That's a tough one. There are so many bl series that are already a masterpiece and there are so many new BL series which are raising the bar on daily basis. To sum it up, I am going to list three of my all time favorite BL series, alongside three of my most favorite BL series from 2024.

Man, fuck allat shit. If I was rich ($100 mil+), I'd give millions upon millions to funimation so they'll DUB SOME DAMN BL'S!!! One of the top arguments for why BL's aren't dubbed is that "they're not as profitable".... okay, fine, if you received a large sum of money, will you go ahead and dub some already? Cherry Magic, Tadaima Okaeri, Dakaichi, Junjou Romantica, Doukyuusei, the rest of Given.... if someone gave them millions, would they finally dub that stuff?

As a side note, I think hardcore BL fans need to put the whole "It's not profitable because of homophobia" idea out of their heads. I saw people saying that recently and also saying that's why the Yuri On Ice movie was canceled, and I just doubt that that's the reason, or at least that it's the main reason. Just because the genre doesn't appeal to as many people, that doesn't mean it's homophobia. It just means the genre isn't as appealing to as many people. Now, don't get me wrong, do some people dislike BL largely because it's gay? More likely than not. But, I'd argue the majority of people who aren't into it aren't into it because it's just not their thing.

You are, however, free to disagree if you like. Being able to disagree and offer counter arguments respectfully is one of the great things about people.

I've been watching some bl animes after hanging out with my friend a bit ago so here's my ratings of the three I've watched over the course of three days {Spoiler Free}

Cherry Magic {I'm not typing the rest of the title out}: first one I watched!! I really liked it, the plot was stupid but it did well and the character interactions were nice, the romance was cute and the characters didn't feel overdone, overall good writing and I liked there dynamics

Love Stage: second one I watched, I heard good reviews and I thought it be up my alley since one of them was a feminine faced guy I usually like that but the characters were just... Very corny, and mean?? I mean it was expected after seeing the main character being an Otaku but if he said lalalulu one more time I was gonna have a fit. Also like not a lot of romance?? At least to me. The love interest I was expecting more from he felt more comedic relief then cool which was what I was expecting after the first two episodes. And a weird amount of sa?? Like not that it was triggering of graphic it just didn't add much to the story and I felt like the few times it happened you could replace it with something else and get the same effect

Dakaichi: just watched this one! I liked it, love interest is definitely pretty freaky though. It wasn't graphic but very sexual, which I guess was kinda the point of the story but still dear God calm down guys. Again I like the story pretty simple and the characters were written well. Althoughthe characters basically have a consensual-non-consenting thing going on but the first episode they just met which made it kinda awkward to watch but it was meant to come out of nowhere so I guess it worked. By the second episode you could see what the author was going for. Again still a weird sa scene?? Not by the love interest thankfully and nothing happened but I wish they treated it a bit more seriously besides the love interest just getting mad. Besides that I really liked it, could probably never recommend it though

Cherry Magic was my favorite but ironically there's not much I can say about it lol
