Pardon me while I find a dumpster to hibernate in for 10,000 years. I'm proud I pulled this off, but it will be a while before I do something of this scale again. 💀

This made me realise how realistic Takato is as a character, cuz of his honest reactions

He's not idealised like Taiki or Tagiru, he can cry or panic when stressed cuz he's only a boy, but you can also see how he grew through the journey, and gained confidence

Commission of Takato from Digimon Tamers with modest naturals and Guilmon clearly just telling his dear human friend about his day and not having any ulterior thoughts or motives at all nuh uh.

I just found this picture again. Riza did it back in the day as a commission. It was a picture for the sequel to Digimon Alpha Generation. Characters from top to bottom: Ryou, Ruki, Takato, Steve, and Shoji. I am kinda looking forward to translating Battle Generation.

Translating Alpha Generation currently, I am really surprised that a lot of it still works. But I know that in Battle Generation I was working way heavier with themes and stylistic devices. And I loved the drama between those five characters here.

do you guys think that if laios dungeon meshi was real he would be obsessed with digimon? i feel like he would relate so hard to takato from tamers but he would want to live in frontier so he could turn into a digimon
