In Digimon Tamers, Zhuqiaomon was solely responsible for the creation of the Deva, who it sent to abduct Calumon. However, in broader Digimon lore, it is but one of four Digimon sovereign (a group of Digimon who previously appeared in Digimon Adventure 02, with the focus on Azulongmon) each of whom rule over three of the Deva.

After meeting Shu-Chong "Suzie" Wong, Antylamon defected to the side of the protagonists.

The Deva are all based on signs of the Chinese Zodiac.

Alice McCoy was a mysterious Tamer in Digimon Tamers who was accompanied by Dobermon, which Digivolved to Cerberusmon.

Impmon was a minor antagonist in Digimon Tamers, having found his child Tamers Ai & Mako to be selfish and bratty. He was merely a nuisance until his Warp Digivolution into Beelzemon. As Beelzemon, he was a serious threat. He would go on to atone for his sins as Beelzemon: Blast Mode.

According to some sources, had Impmon Digivolved the normal way, he would have Digivolved to Meramon, and SkullMeramon before becoming Beelzemon.

When he returned to the Digital World, he reverted to Yaamon.

Jeri Kato, Kazu Shioda, and Kenta Kitagawa appeared in Digimon Tamers along with Leomon, Guardromon and its Digivolved form Andromon, and MarineAngemon.

Digimon Tamers starred Takuto Mtsuki and his partner Guilmon, Henry Wong and his partner Terriermon, and Rika Nonaka and her partner Renamon.

Guilmon was capable of Digivolving to Growlmon, and further into War Growlmon. When Bio-merged with Takato, they became Gallantmon. When Guilmon had to return to the Digital World, it reverted to Gigimon.

Terriermon was capable of Digivolving to Gargomon and Rapidmon. When Bio-merged with Henry, they became MegaGargomon. When they parted ways, Terriermon reverted to Gummymon.

Rika's partner Renamon was capable of Digivolving to Kyubimon, and then to Taomon. When the two Bio-merged, they became Sakuyamon. When Renamon had to leave, it reverted to Viximon.

Ken and Ryo's adventures are only hinted at in Digimon Adventure 02, while Digimon Tamers mostly ignores them due to the director glancing at the character notes and immediately not giving a shit.

Ryo acted as the bridge between Digimon Adventure and Digimon Tamers, making him a unique character. Future "reboots" of the Digimon anime would be cleanly severed from their predecessors. Despite Ryo's unique status, fans had to rally for him to be included in the 25th Anniversary celebrations.

It was in a battle against Millenniummon that Ken became infected with the Dark Spore that would lead to his transformation into The Digimon Emperor. He would go on to create Kimeramon, and discover he was merely a pawn for MaloMyotismon and his lackies Arukenimon & Mummymon.

Ryo would fight against Millenniummon multiple times in various forms, such as ZeedMillenniummon and MoonMillenniumon. He partnered up both with Tai's Agumon and Davis' Veemon, and also a Veedramon. When his partner Monodramon fused with Millenniumon to keep it from returning yet again, Monodramon became the wild and dangerous Cyberdramon who we see Ryo having to keep on a short leash in Digimon Tamers. Ryo and Cyberdramon eventually become close enough that they can Bio-Merge into Justimon.

In Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, we meet Lui Ohwada, the self-titled "first Digidestined." In meeting Ukkomon and wishing that children everywhere could meet and befriend Digimon, Lui and Ukkomon supposedly set in motion the events that lead to all the Digidestined meeting their Digimon partners.

After Ukkomon killed Lui's parents in an attempt to grant a misunderstood wish, Lui smashed his Digivice and renounced the Digimon. and Ukkomon seemingly died. It returned from a massive Digiegg as the dangerous force BigUkkomon.

Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna introduced us to Menoa Bellucci, who wanted to spend her whole life with her Digimon partner Morphomon. She rushed through school so she could spend more time with Morphomon, only to find she had given up her childhood and lost Morphomon as a result.

Meanwhile, the Digidestined discover that, as their own childhoods come to an end, so do their bonds with their Digimon. The story focusses on Tai and Matt and their relationships with Gabumon and Agumon, who ultimately undergo a special Last Evolution into Agumon - Bond of Bravery and Gabumon - Bond of Friendship in their last battle before they disappear from Matt and Tai's lives.

Daigo Nishijima and Maki Himekawa are revealed in Digimon Adventure Tri to have been the original Digidestined before Tai and the others. Meanwhile, Meiko Michizuki shows up with her demented Meicoomon to basically just ruin the franchise forever. Fun!

What if Silphymon could have Digivolved further? I like to think the result would have been Valkyrimon.

If Hawkmon could Digivolve further than Aquilamon without Gatomon's help, I wonder what it might have Digivolved in to? I'm not sure.

These two make an odd pair, because Gatomon doesn't have to evolve from Salamon to get ready for DNA Digivolution - it's already a Champion and already capable of Digivolving to Angewomon on its own.

If one were to apply the gender binary to Digimon - which one really oughtn't - then they're also the only "mixed gender" DNA Digivolution we see, with Hawkmon being male-presenting and Gatomon being female-presenting.

Did Yolei Inoue & Kari Kamiya ever even talk directly to each other before their Digimon combined? It's such an odd combo.

Without her Crest of Light, Kari adopted the Digiegg of Light allowing Gatomon to Armor Digivolve to Nefertimon. Theoretically, using the Digiegg of Courage would have caused Gatomon to Digivolve into Lynxmon. This, however, never happened.

Yolei and Hawkmon, on the other hand, utilised the Digieggs of Love and Sincerity, resulting in Halsemon and Shurimon. Using Kari's Digiegg of Light would have enabled Hawkmon to Digivolve into Harpymon. This, also, never happened.

In Digimon Adventure 02, Cody Haida & T.K. Takaishi are partnered with Armadillomon and Patamon respectively. Because both Digidestined are lacking crests, when Armadillomon Digivolves into Ankylomon and Patamon into Angemon, they must DNA Digivolve together to reach the Ultimate level, forming Shakkoumon.

Digimon Pendulum Z and Digimon Brave Tamer give us some extended evolutions of Shakkoumon in SlashAngemon or Vikemon. Unfortunately, only Paildramon obtained the power to Digivolve further over the course of Digimon Adventure 02 so we never got to see this happen on-screen. Personally, I was hoping it would happen in Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning but instead they just told us all to throw away our Digivices and buy the new iPhone cases instead.

In the Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot, Patamon gained the ability to Digivolve into Goldramon. I like to think that, given the first Adventure 02 movie showed Patamon's Mega level form as Seraphimon and Gatomon's as Magnadramon, while Tri showed Gatomon's to be Ophanimon, Patamon would have access to Goldramon too under similar circumstances.

The Digieggs of Knowledge and Reliability enabled Armadillomon to Armor Digivolve into Digmon and Submarimon. If Cody had used TK's Digiegg of Hope, Armadillomon could have Digivolved into Sheepmon.

Without access to the Crest of Hope, TK had to use the Digiegg of Hope to Armor Evolve Patamon to Pegasusmon. Borrowing Cody's Digiegg of Reliability might have enabled Patamon to become Mantaraymon.

Digimon Adventure: Tag Tamers shows us Ken Ichijouji with his crest of Kindness in action. His partner Wormmon advanced beyond Stingmon and Digivolved into Dinobeemon without having to DNA Digivolve with ExVeemon, and then Digivolved further into GranKuwagamon.

In the TV series, ExVeemon (the Digivolved form of Davis Motomiya's partner Veemon) and Stingmon DNA Digivolved to the Invincible Dragon-Insect Fusion Paildramon and later gained the ability to further evolve to Imperialdramon, a Digimon with two modes - Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode and Imperialdramon: Dragon Mode.

Veemon's on-screen Armor Digivolutions are

Flamedramon, Lighdramon, and Magnamon.

If Davis had received the Digiegg of Love, Veemon would have gained the ability to Armor Evolve to

Sethmon.

Wormmon was never seen to Armor Digivolve in the TV series. Theoretically, if Ken borrowed the Digiegg of Courage or Friendship, Wormmon could have Digivolved into

Shadramon or Togemogumon.

The Dark Masters Puppetmon, Machinedramon, MetalSeadramon, and Piedmon embodied the darkness growing in the Digital World.

Cherrymon offered advice to Puppetmon, who appreciated it so much he gave Cherrymon a one-way ticket to Hell.

Leomon and Ogremon were rivals, even when they were under Devimon's command. Both went on to become valuable allies of the Digidestined, as did Andromon and Elecmon. After being exposed to Tai's Digivice, Leomon gained the power to Digivolve directly into SaberLeomon.

In their travels, the Digidestined fought Devimon, Myotismon, Myotismon's servant DemiDevimon, Etemon, MetalEtemon, and Myotismon's Digivolved form VenomMyotismon.

Gennai provided guidance to them, though most of the time it was less than helpful.

Myotismon believed Wizardmon to be an ally of his, but Wizardmon's loyalty was to Gatomon, who it turned out was Kari's partner Digimon.
