THAT'S THE POINT. it's almost like those who take profit of an oppressive system to thrive, throwing away humanity at times, will be more successful under capitalism than altruistic people... maybe that's trying to conveying a message, have you thought about it? kusakabe's comment about gojo killing yuuji was also just that, a comment. he always represented the average person, with fears and selfish interests, who abides by the status quo. why are we shocked? he obviously likes yuuji and doesn't want him to die, he literally faced sukuna for their plan. god, even mei mei. they just put self-preservation above everything else most times. their characters are important to highlight the fate of people like nanami and other characters who risked their lives, especially characters from older generations of jujutsu that weren't proactive enough or ready to actually go through with a revolution. how do some people even read this story without having in mind its political context?
