Surprise! Hi everyone, I know I’ve been gone for a while, but I have some great news: that secret project I kept alluding to in my update posts has finally come to the point where I published it!

I’ve created a brand new mod that adds... 

Two fully-fleshed, romanceable NPCs 

New map areas 

A functional cafe shop

New Animal Products + Artisan Goods:

The Seed Shop now includes animal products that players can receive in the mail, making the Animal Husbandry mod no longer required for recipes. After reaching an in-game milestone, Joseph will mail players wild game meat depending on the season and weather. These include: - Raw Bear Meat - Raw Moose Meat - Raw Venison - Raw Wild Duck - Raw Wild Goose These animal products can be used in a variety of unlockable or purchasable cooking recipes, or can be used together with one of the new producers v.2.0.0 has to offer: The Cold Smoker.

The Cold Smoker can be used to craft cold-smoked wild game, salmon, and cheese - enhancing the cooking recipes that require them. They can also make good gifts for NPCs, depending on whom they are gifted to. The Cold-Smoker crafting recipes can be purchased from Joseph starting in Year 2.

This mod gives all the buildings on the farm a lovely white and green design. You can either do it as a Content Patcher version so they come pre-selected, or an Alternative Textures version where you have to select each one with the Paint Bucket.

Does anyone know if there's a mod or if it would be possible to make a mod that keeps the baby from turning into a toddler? Since the kids don't completely age anyway it might be a nice option to have a toddler and a baby permanently. Or can you use the CJB cheats menu in the farmhouse to freeze time and that stops them aging?

Abigail Dialogue Available

Abigail is ready for testing! As always, I’m very excited at the prospect of getting more feedback on my writing. :)

Please check the playtesting masterpost if you’re interested in downloading Abigail’s beta dialogue; directions on how to get started are there.

Notes:

Abigail has two lines that change a little depending on the gender of your farmer (which is more than I normally put in). This is because I wanted to emphasize and expand upon her feelings/development in regards to gender roles, which is a topic mentioned in some of her vanilla lines.

Pierre was a little hard to write for because he’s kind of a strange character. I’m honestly not sure if he was meant to be likable or not, because he certainly has some lines/events that are questionable. I’ll be interested to see what people think of the lines I made for him.

For those unfamiliar with this project:

I’m making a dialogue mod for Stardew Valley! When I first played the game, I loved it, but as an avid fan of romance-oriented games, I felt the romances were really lacking. So I’m adding extra super cute, fluffy, make-your-heart-go-doki-doki romance dialogue for every marriage candidate, heavily inspired by the Harvest Moon style of hearts dialogue.

Thus far, I’ve published dialogue for Sebastian, Sam, Elliott, and Alex, and am still playtesting for Harvey and Haley in addition to Abigail. Please check out this blog for more info, especially if you’d be interested in helping me improve this mod before I officially publish it!
