It was ridiculous for Grian to have a crush on High Prince Mumbo, of all things. He was just a lowly avian servant, his royal highness probably didn't even know he existed!
Well, they didn't at first. But then Mumbo's betrothed, Princess Ariana of the Avian kingdom, was killed after attempting to assassinate her husband-to-be, and the royal family needed a way to cover up the incident.
Being the only other parrot avian in the castle, Grian was quickly bundled up in stolen dresses more expensive than anything he'd ever worn, married to the man of his dreams under false pretenses, and now has to pretend to be someone he's not to avoid a war.
At least Mumbo seemed rather apologetic about the whole thing.
Grian's sorry about the whole 'fiancee trying to assassinate you' thing as well, so they even out in their misery.
And, hey, it's not the worst. Mumbo sets up a private wing of the castle for them, some excuse about wanting space for his new family. All the staff who attend to them are briefed on the situation, so it means Grian can at least be himself there.
Not that he minds being Ariana he discovers. The woman might have been a murderous traitor but hey! She had a good fashion sense. Grian also takes naturally to public events - it's a lot easier when you're already playing a character. He can be whatever people expect him to be. It helps Mumbo too, the guy wouldn't know how to get through a social situation with a script. One of the many reasons Grian loves him.
The only time Grian faltered was when he was chatting with some nobles and caught Mumbo watching him, the softest smile on his face.
He nearly melted on the spot.

Stranger part 14

Reader is Telemachus' friend, and when he leaves for his "diplomatic mission" he asks her to watch over his mother. Later, once the king has returned, she stumbles upon an injured Poseidon.
Previous / series masterlist / character sheet / next
Content specs: she/her pronouns used, afab reader, Platonic! Telemachus x reader, Epic!Poseidon x reader, possible OOC!Poseidon, Polites’ daughter! Reader, unrequited love, blood, fighting, nudity, illusion, possibly more?, trying to avoid using y/n, slowburn, suggestive themes, English is not my first language, sorry if it's too much exposition, it's my first fic.
The next three days went by without anything special happening. The weekly ritual had gone by without issue, the man continued healing, Ónoma helped out around the village, and the relationship between her and Perikles had blossomed into something of a friendship.
The fourth day had brought them something interesting, however. A formal invite to the palace for both of them. To celebrate the return of Odysseus the entirety of Ithaca had been invited to the palace for an evening of festivities on the following day. Perikles had visibly paled at the information and had been able to play it off as nerves.
Of all the islands he could’ve ended up, it had to have been Ithaca. He should’ve asked about it sooner, that way he could have left to heal elsewhere, but now he had an invite. He may have been a God, but turning it down would be rude, and he did not want to deal with his brother, the God of hospitality, right now.
Ónoma’s gut told her to not believe Perikles’ excuse of nerves, but she found no reason not to trust him, either. If he was that nervous about it, he should be glad that he did not receive the other invitation as well.
Word of the king’s return had spread throughout the islands. The man’s war buddies had also insisted on a celebration, this one consisting of royals and nobility from all over Greece, and Ónoma. The second invitation had had her visibly paling. She had no place among royalty, had no knowledge of proper etiquette, and had no interest in going. Not that she had a choice. She would also be of marrying age at the time of these festivities, something she was less than looking forward to. She’d also be celebrating her birthday in the palace tomorrow, which she would usually spend on her own, wallowing in self-pity.
It was the one day a year where she’d allow herself to do so. Just sit and sulk on her own, though, she supposed she’d done so not that long ago, the day of Hermes’ message. Sure, she’d not been alone that day, but she sulked, so it counted.
“We’ll have to alter some clothes to fit you better.” Peach broke the tension. “My brother’s old clothes are fine, here, but not in public. I’d take you to the seamstress, but she’s probably cursing at the king for giving the town such short notice. She might need some reinforcement today, best get to work on you now, then.”
“Is there anything you can’t do?” The God asked, omitting the fact that he’d given her some, divine assistance. Her work was great, but he wanted to look his best, should he be unable to avoid the king.
“I’m a bit surprised myself, I’m decent at alterations, but this is a bit… outside of my skillset. Six, by the way.” She was becoming increasingly suspicious of certain things, and this only made it more so.
For now, she would have to let it go, as she had her own robes to work on. Not for tomorrow, she had a chiton formal enough for that, but for the other party. It was time to alter her mother’s blue dress. It was the one piece of clothing that she’d yet to alter, but this occasion seemed like the right moment. She’d accessorize it with her mother’s and her own jewellery. She rarely wore it, preferring to be practical, but once again, this situation seemed to call for it.
One: how had he been able to catch that many fish, but unable to properly filet or cook them.
Two: this man was healing at a rate she’d never seen before.
Three: how had he survived his wounds in the first place?
Four: was Perikles actually his name? When he first introduced himself as such, he seemed hesitant, and when she used the name he reacted oddly.
When she was finished, she wished she’d had a mirror in her home, but she would have to make do with the reflection of the water. Sadly, her bathtub did not offer her a proper view. As she stepped out of the bathroom, fully dressed up, Perikles turned to look at her.
“Wow.” Was all he was able to say. She’d looked beautiful before, but now, with her hair pinned up, adorned in luxurious fabric and gold, she looked other worldly. Dare he say, like a Goddess.
“What do you think?” She asked, giving him a little spin. “I wanted to see for myself, but I don’t think I’ll be able to.”
“You look… exquisite, love. How about we check in the water, outside?”
“I won’t see much with all the waves.” She mumbled.
“It’s worth a try.” He stated, steering her by the waist. She blushed at the contact, but let him guide her. As they stood in front of the sea, the water was uncharacteristically calm. “Still six, by the way.” She felt his breath on her neck as he stood behind her, his hand still on her waist. As she looked at herself, she saw her mother as well.
And as he looked at her, he knew he would keep the oceans still for eternity, if she wished him too.
He moved to stand next to her, the shift in the reflection caused her to look at him. “What’s one more day?” He asked her, shifting his gaze from her eyes to her lips.
“Nothing.” She whispered, as she leaned in. The hand on her waist pulled her against him, the other cradled her face. She closed her eyes at the touch, and finally felt his lips on hers.
Next.

Join me for Granblue OCtober!
hey all! Here's the list I came up with for my Granblue OCtober - inspired by @yuyuyumefairy from last year and my own love for inktober, I wanted an event for those of us with OCs and wanted to show them off!

About the FF round-up lists:
Recs are listed in the order they were posted on the Discord; the order does not imply any sort of ranking.
The pairing given in this list is the main pairing of each respective fic – please read the tags for any possible minor or side-pairings, as well as any potential warnings or triggers.
Pairings and Eras are given as tagged in each respective fic. (?) signifies that the tags were unclear and I do not know enough about the fic to fill the gaps.
Round-ups are compiled on the weekend of the week after the respective theme of the post (when the new theme has already been anounced), to avoid omitting potentially belated FF recs.
The weekly round-up is not a guarantee! I'm running this alone, so it can only be posted for weeks when I have enough time on my hands to compile a list. If you'd like to help out, feel free to contact me on Tumblr ( @zaharya ) or Discord. Thanks to @ravenwilds for helping me out with these round-ups, and to Chel for making a whole-ass bot to make it easier!

I'm here to feed the brainrot.
what about getting matching sets/themes with boys that already paint their nails?
In my head Lilia, Cater, Vil, Neige, Chenya and kalim already paint their nails (kalim wanted to match with his band mates)
Leona, Riddle, Azul, Silver and Rook paint theirs if there's a special occasion (Leona hates it but he's royalty so he has to keep up looks)
Ruggie, Idia, Trey, Deuce, Floyd, Jade and Jamil have experimented in the past with plain looks but ended up not liking nail polish because of how easy it chips ( Ruggie, Jamil, Jade and Trey due to work, Idia is a nail biter and Deuce and Floyd fight with their hands hands)
Ace and Epel are victims of toxic masculinity™️ 😔
Sebek get his nails to match Malmal
Malleus has black nails naturally so colouring them can be difficult
Jack doesn't like painting his nails because the way it reacts with his unique magic causes the paint to retract into his paw. Someone introduce him to coloured french tips asap.
(can I be 🔱 anon?)
YESSSSS U SEE THE VISION , , ,
tbh getting matching sets with the boys/getting their card suits on an accent nail (for the heartslabyul boys) would be so CUTE , , , there was a trend ab getting ur bf's tip as ur nail color and lowk. i think itd be so fun to do with them (french tip style, with their signature color as the accents) <333
yeah no i dont think rook/leona would paint their nails unless necessary LOL. rook bc the scent of nail polish is so strong and lingers even once a day has passed, and leona bc the scent makes him want to gag. i feel like silver would gladly has his done more often if ur offering to do them, though. he's just too sleepy to do them himself most of the time sdjk.
hm...jade does work but he's wearing gloves most of the time so i dont think he'd mind if you brought it up tbh? jamil might do them more often if you promise to do them on a weekly basis (since as long as u have a good base/topcoat, nails shouldn't chip too soon). i'm sure there's a magical topcoat/basecoat that prevents chipping, too!
ace and epel....unfortunate. however u can bait ace into doing it if u do deuce's (which would result in him bragging and egging on ace to do the same). he cannot stand deuce having so much of your time and attention in comparison to him its so stupid sdhbfj
malleus , ,, tbh you could do pretty iridescent colors, and so long as you have good quality nail polish, other solid colors should be able to show up fine on his nails!! i think he doesn't care as much about the color but seeing you put in so much focus and effort into his nails makes him feel a certain way , , ur putting ur claim on him, how could he say no?
OUGHHHHH ur right , , , gels would be a good solution for boys like jack/deuce who put their hands through more wear and tear, , , it would prevent chipping as well , ,, (however i do think doing deuce's nails on a daily basis is so cute and i think having a dremel near his hands would scare him a bit oIHSDOFHSD). plus gels/acrylics aren't super great for ur nails but we'll ignore it and assume a magical alternative doesn't cause damage LOL.
and yes you can be 🔱 anon <3

20+, looking for 20+ partners | hey all! i’m looking for some fandomless oc x oc plots. i’m open to all gender pairings and trans/nb-inclusive.
i would love to find someone interested in writing against my pirate captain (best for low fantasy, think a touch of magic and the supernatural) orrr my prince charming (i can squeeze him into just about any setting as long as there’s royalty involved.) both are men, and i’m happy to write them against any gender -- but if those two aren’t really calling to you, i have a ton of ocs that are begging to be fleshed out, so just ask and i’ll provide! i use art and descriptions for all of my characters btw, so keep that in mind before interacting.
if you couldn’t already tell, i love anything supernatural or fantasy-flavored. worldbuilding is my bread and butter, and i’m an absolute SUCKER for omegaverse, arranged marriage, and soulmates / fated pairs. the more drama, the more angst, the more self-indulgence, the better. i adore partners who are just as over the top as me, so don’t hold back! hit me with your best shot because i definitely want to hear it.
i’d prefer to take things at a medium pace with no pressure to reply asap. my muse is spontaneous, and i have a pretty busy schedule, so please don’t expect rapid-fire replies from me. i’m usually around to chat and plot and gush about brainrot, but sometimes my ic replies can take awhile. weekly replies are my goal, and you’re always welcome to nudge me! my usual replies are anywhere from 200-1k+ words, depending on my partner, the scene, etc.
open to nsfw and dark / mature themes. just know my heart is set on story with the potential for some spice. i write all roles, but i’m not into letting that dictate dynamics between characters and their personalities.
if you’re interested, just shoot me a dm and i’ll get back to you! 💜

Decided to post the essay I wrote a few days ago. Of course, this isn't meant to shit on anyone, but to work through my feelings on TOH's themes and how I see the fandom working through them.
TOH has a very – let’s say uneasy relationship with its fantasy elements—or at least, that’s how the fandom has received them. I just saw someone talking about how Luz shouldn’t have gotten a Palisman of her own because she “doesn’t need to look any more like Azura,” considering that Luz’s whole thing at the beginning of the series was needing to better “tell fantasy from reality.” But I feel like that’s only getting half the point—the issue with not being able to tell fantasy from reality rests, as the series argues, with expecting the world to cater to you and then lashing out when it doesn’t.
The series makes this most clear with Belos, who rejects the traditional high fantasy genre signifiers as spiritual pollutants and yet is living in as much of a fantasy world as Luz was. “[He needs] to be the hero of his own delusion” locates Belos’s major flaw—in a character way and in a thematic way—in his refusal to see himself as just another part of the world, rather than its center. All of this is spoken to us directly by the embodiment of the Boiling Isles and its magic. This character flaw is then reinforced by how Belos gets defeated and starts rambling on about how humans are innately “better than this” Because Reasons.
I think part of this disconnect might be happening because we’re used to anti-escapist stories rejecting the fantasy world in its entirety. For example, Ready Player One ends with the reveal that the creator of the VR world—it was called the OASIS, wasn’t it?—regretted not spending enough time in the “real world,” and the main character rectifies this by enforcing a weekly one-day service outage. Even though the book explores reasons why people would want to escape into the VR fantasy, including escaping the confines of marginalized identity categories like gender and race, it still asserts that you’re missing out by leaving the “real world” behind. I think also of modern fantasy stories with creatures like vampires and werewolves that bend over backwards to justify why being a human is still totally the best option— “Be glad of your human heart, Feyre,” and so on. Even in series where the human main character becomes inhuman, it’s often through force—characters like Feyre and Elena Gilbert are killed and then revived as monsters, but only Bella Swan actively wants to become one. (It really is the equal-but-opposite response to the question Robert McRuer says is asked of disabled people IRL in his article about compulsory able-bodiedness: “Yeah, but in the end, wouldn’t you rather be like me?” In both cases—whether disabled or super-abled—the normate, abled, “regular” human position has to be reinforced as the ideal.)
And let’s be real, it’s all cope. We can agree it’s just cope, right? But even besides that, I think we also need to keep in mind that, contrary to what internet discourse would have you believe, subverting tropes is not good writing in and of itself — subversion and deconstruction need to be ways of creating meaning within the work, rather than the meaning itself.
I think, then, we can see TOH’s conversation with escapism from s1 to s3 as a way of asking, “What parts of our childhood should we keep?” In Luz’s case, like in many of our own childhoods, the fantasy elements are from the actual fantasy genre because Luz wants to imagine a bigger life for herself than Earth allows, one that is scary and dangerous but in the end still caters to her/us. (See also Freud’s concept of the family romance, wherein a child dreams that their parents aren’t their “real” parents and that their “real” parents are magic space fairy royalty who will one day reclaim their child and everything will be awesome forever.)
In episodes like “Witches Before Wizards,” these genre signifiers provide Luz with a set kind of “script” for how she believes interactions should go—the disappointment and restlessness she feels in the episode is from the fact that it’s not catered to her just because she’s there, in a similar way that Belos believes humans are better just Because They Are. Worth noting that even in that episode, the “reality” Luz needs to learn to accept is still based in a fantasy setting—signaling that the word “fantasy” in “differentiate fantasy from reality” should not be about the genre or the act of consuming fantasy in and of itself. Season three then literalizes this with The Collector turning people into puppets and acting out “The Owl House” as a game with suffering participants.
Conversely, season three adds more nuance by revealing that Luz’s hyperfixation stems from her relationship with her father. The season does a lot to explore the relationship-building potential of fiction, from Amity suggesting her and Luz dress as Hecate and Azura to the reveal that Camila is a secret Trekkie.
A fellow autistic person once described their special interest not just as something they’re obsessed with, but as part of how they processed the world. We can see this kinda play out in Camila’s conversation with Luz right before Stringbean hatches: she says she has forgotten the “Astral Oath” and responds to Luz’s question of her being a “secret nerd” with the admission that she shouldn’t have let her own fears of and experiences with being non-conforming compel her to try and change Luz. The Astral Oath and how it played out within Cosmic Frontier provided a framework for Camila that she admits she should have followed: “My biggest mistake was trying to protect you by changing this beautiful, good witch into something she wasn’t.” The best things about Luz are also the things that make her more drawn to the fantasy genre.
The rampant egoism of the genre should be left behind, the show says, but not the good lessons and the relationships you’ve built from it.
This anti-egoism does, of course, run up against the fact that Luz is still the main character. If Luz getting a Palisman makes her too much like Azura and therefore undermines the message, then honestly I don’t see how the final battle itself isn’t just a colossal fuck-up. Not even in the sense that Luz got Titan magic, which I have seen people say is now suddenly Luz being A Chosen One all along, but in the sense that Luz straight up shouldn’t have been in the final battle at all. (Honestly, if you want YA with a good anti-egoism message imparted through its structure, you’re looking for Robert Cormier’s The Chocolate War—book, not movie.)
I said on Twitter while I was reading Charlie Ledbetter’s “The Dysphoric Body Politic” that TOH has an interesting relationship with its escapism messaging because Luz DOES leave the human world. Even though she had to finish high school in the human world, the finale makes it clear that she’s been putting all of her spare energy and labor into the literal rebuild of the Boiling Isles. She entirely gives up on making a life for herself on Earth.
This isn’t super surprising, (I was always sure it would happen) but I do think it’s where the uneasiness—the messiness—between TOH and its genre comes into play. Yes, Luz needed to dial back her daydreaming and yes, her being in the demon realm ultimately led to it almost being destroyed, but it still is the worst possible ending if she doesn’t get to stay there.
In the article, Ledbetter, a transmasc who discovered themselves through fandom, writes that “Escapism is not a departure from reality. Rather, escape decenters the hegemony of oppressive systems that announce themselves as real and creates space to imagine alternatives.” And yet within the show, it’s a closed circuit—the threat to diversity and self-expression comes from the human realm, and yet there is no attempt to save it. Ledbetter, writing of fandom’s political potential, suggests using fanfic to imagine alternatives specifically so we can give ourselves the drive to try and enact them in the real world.
TOH’s sister show, Amphibia, gives us a taste of this in its finale: in the ten years since the Calamity Trio has left, the once-evil king lives out his final days planting seeds, and the girls themselves are dedicated to either educating others or creating art. They honor the memories of their childhood fantasy—Sasha with two crossing swords as a patch on her jacket and a charm dangling from her rearview mirror, Anne with her entire career—but the portal is closed. It’s not coming back.
Given everything TOH does in season three to reaffirm the value of fantasy as a lifelong interest, though, I think what it wanted to avoid suggesting, like a lot of traditional portal stories do, that the fantasy world is the world of childhood and needs to be escaped. Aslan tells Peter and Susan, after all, that they’re getting too old for Narnia. Peter and his siblings return there only in death; Susan isn’t so lucky. If Luz shouldn’t have gotten a Palisman, something which symbolizes she’s discovered a fundamental truth about herself and has “earned” her place as a Witch, then honestly she shouldn’t have been able to come back to the Boiling Isles, either. How many of us would've been happy with that?
If we want to square this with the show’s politics, I think we can read this as the show saying that, yes, there are some things you have to do as a child, but once you’re free, you aren’t obligated to stay with the society and people who won’t ever see you for who you are. In a way, Luz going back and forth between the human and demon realms parallels the teenage fantasy fan, making space in their lives for fandom as a place of joy and connection after all the boring hard “adult” work is done for the day. You don’t have to leave it behind; building outside of the system and making your life centered around your joy is hard work, yes, but worth doing.

Weekly Tag Wednesday
Hi last week @creepkinginc and @deedala tagged me in this fun music-themed tag game. And yeah maybe I’m a week late, but I was on a plane and then in a foreign country and now I’m sitting in an airport.
Name: Keely
What is the most listened to artist in your music app of choice this month? How do you people know this?? I don’t know but last.fm says my top track is “Like a Villain” by Bad Omens.
What song do you know all of the lyrics to? “Oops I Did It Again” was the first song I consciously learned the lyrics to.
What song do you pretend to know all the lyrics to and sing along to even though you don't? Honestly most of them because I can’t understand a darn thing people say.
If you were to be crowned Queen/King/Royalty of listening to a band or artist, who would that be? I’ll take the Motionless in White crown.
What band/artist surprises you the most on your frequently listened to artists? I don’t know that I am surprised by any of them.
Favorite line from a song (or one you have been thinking about lately)? AH this is so much pressure. “Espresso” has been stuck in my head, especially “I’m working late, ‘cause I’m a singerrrr.”
Guilty pleasure band or song? I’m not even guilty about it, play this song at my funeral.
Okay let's talk fandom music:
Fave band or song you've discovered from a Fan Fic? I did not discover “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” from CG, but now I associate those two things together.
Fave Fanfic Playlist? I can’t just answer everything with CG.
Fave Gallavich song? Stop I have a playlist.
Do you listen to music recommended by the writer or an included playlist? Yes usually.
What song do you think is Gallavich coded? Half of Taylor Swift’s discography and “Treacherous” is stuck in my head.
What’s a bop you want to share with your mutuals today? I already shared the greatest of all bops above, you’re welcome ☺️

Yesterday and possibly the day before’s gameplay progress because I forgot to make a post yesterday and I’m not sure if I made one the day before:
I made it to level 90 as a summoner!!! And also scholar, technically, but it’s not as if I’ve ever actually played as that. Due to having gotten so many pieces of level 90 gear from my retainers going on quick explorations, I’m already at an average item level of 560 as both classes, which is second only to the 565 I have as a dancer (and the 620 as a weaver, technically, but that one isn’t a combat class)! Not bad considering I don’t have access to any level 90 content yet, haha =P
I now only have black mage and reaper left to level out of the main classes I’ve been focusing on (I think they’re both level 88, perhaps even approaching 89), and I can still use the main story to level both of them quite effectively, which is both exciting and somewhat unfortunate in terms of feeling like I’m wasting that story quest experience once I do get to the level cap.
Now that I’ve reached level 90 as a caster class, though, I can finally wear my ornate rinascita jacket of casting that I’ve had for literal months thanks to Wondrous Tails certificates! This inspired me to make a fancier summoner glamour - but I’m still very attached to the demon skirt + caller’s sandals combination that I’ve been wearing as a summoner for so long now, so I ended up spending a long time in glamour hell trying things out to reach a happy medium.

This is what i eventually ended up going with - I like to think it still works as a top half that can be worn with the bottom half! I think I’ll save the rinascita coat for when I reach level 90 as a black mage, since it fits Lorenza’s princess/royalty theme very well, but I am at least still wearing it right now as far as others see in the game, which is neat.
Anyway, where were we?
Regarding the story, I’m currently at the first level 86 quest, and part of me is tempted to try and make a lot of progress over this weekend, so I can get through it in bigger chunks. I think I might be able to do it all in one weekend if my Shadowbringers progression was anything to go by, but it would be very dependent on cutscene length - I’m just quite aware of how the story will start to pick up the pace, and so I don’t want to have to stop playing due to time constraints at a point where it doesn’t feel right to pause the plot, if that makes sense.
I really need to start bringing red mage up through the levels as well, I’ve realised. And maybe machinist, but I don’t really remember how to play as that at this point, even if it is level 70. In theory it might make sense to try and push to level 86 as a red mage and then let the story bring it the rest of the way, but that would mean both a lot of level grinding and also having to delay story progression. If nothing else, at least I can use it for levelling up the Trust avatars, since I haven’t really touched that system yet!
In terms of weekly things.. I’m still working on my Wondrous Tails for this week, and I went to the Doman enclave to hand in donations only to get completely distracted by glamour stuff (as you can see by where I’m standing in that screenshot from before), so.. I need to actually sort that next time I log on, haha.
#a voidsent voice 🜸#gameplay tag#lorenza (fell‑court) 🜸#I fixed the rest of the in-game glamour to go with the rinascita coat more#I think I’m still using my very old level 60 healing glamour as a scholar though haha#even if i never play as it I still want the gear I have to look some semblance of coordinated you know?

(chipper inspired me so youre getting more royal skizzlepulse)
Diplomacy sucked.
Prince Skizz was practically slumped over his leg of lamb at dinner, bored out of his mind already (and the company hadn’t even gotten here yet). His mother had already corrected his posture twice and it hadn’t even been ten minutes. Still, if this went on any longer, Skizz was really considering dimming his halo and faking food poisoning. He didn’t really care about the rival kingdom finally agreeing to meet with his. He wanted to go see what other castle walls he could scale without getting caught.
And then the dining hall doors swung open.
And good God, that’s a really gorgeous demon prince.
-🦔
Skizz doesn't take in a single word said the whole evening, and his mother has to correct his posture another three times. This time because he keeps unconsciously leaning towards the prince. He might as well be magnetic with how Skizz is attracted to him.
And then, whilst they all mingle afterwards, the prince introduces himself. And he has a nervous giggle, and rubs the back of his neck, and oh no he's so cute. How is Skizz supposed to negotiate this?!
These talks have to succeed. He won't survive being so far apart from Impulse for the rest of his life.

Planning a Royal Wedding? Here’s Why You Need a Wedding Planner in Jaipur
Every couple dreams of a wedding that reflects their love story—graceful, grand, and unforgettable. But when it comes to planning a royal wedding, especially in a city like Jaipur, there’s a certain level of charm, elegance, and coordination that only an expert can bring to the table. That’s where a Wedding Planner in Jaipur becomes your secret weapon.
Whether you’ve been envisioning your vows exchanged in a 300-year-old palace or a grand celebration under the stars, planning a wedding in Jaipur can be magical—but only if done right. This isn’t just about picking flowers or choosing a menu. It’s about designing an experience. Let’s explore why hiring a Wedding Planner in Jaipur is essential for turning your royal wedding dreams into a stunning reality.

1. Jaipur Is the Land of Royalty – Planning Here Demands Perfection
Jaipur isn’t just a city—it’s a destination known for its palatial beauty, cultural richness, and regal aura. From City Palace to Rambagh, Jai Mahal to Samode, the options for a royal wedding are almost endless.
But with so many venues, traditions, permits, and vendors to deal with, it can get overwhelming fast. A professional Wedding Planner in Jaipur knows the ins and outs of these historic venues and handles all the heavy lifting, making sure nothing is left to chance.
2. A Wedding Planner Helps You Choose the Perfect Royal Venue
The venue sets the tone for everything else. Do you want to get married in a heritage fort with panoramic views? Or would you prefer a Mughal-style garden with fountains and fairy lights?
A Wedding Planner in Jaipur will not only show you hidden gems and royal palaces that suit your budget and vision but will also negotiate rates, manage contracts, and ensure the venue aligns with the event theme. They often have established relationships with top locations, which means better deals and early bookings.
3. Theme Curation That Feels Like Royalty, Not a Fancy Birthday Party
One of the biggest challenges in wedding planning is sticking to a theme without going overboard. With royalty, it’s easy to cross the line from elegant to overdone.
Whether you're dreaming of a Mughal-era setup, a Rajputana-style celebration, or a fusion of tradition and modernity, a Wedding Planner in Jaipur will design every detail to maintain aesthetic balance. They know what works with what—from royal color palettes and floral arrangements to antique décor and entry concepts.
4. Local Vendor Network Means Better Quality and Better Prices
You might find a decorator, caterer, or photographer online, but how do you know they’re reliable or the best in the game?
That’s the advantage of hiring a Wedding Planner in Jaipur—they come with a tried-and-tested vendor list. Be it local artisans for mehendi, folk musicians for sangeet, or chefs who specialize in authentic Rajasthani cuisine, planners have the right people in their contact book.
They also ensure you get the best rates without compromising on quality, thanks to their long-standing relationships in the industry.
5. Planning from Afar? No Problem. They’ve Got You Covered
Many couples planning a royal wedding in Jaipur live in other cities—or even other countries. If that’s you, remote coordination can be a nightmare.
But with a Wedding Planner in Jaipur, distance is no barrier. From virtual venue tours to weekly video calls, they keep you in the loop without needing you to be on-site. They become your eyes, ears, and hands on the ground—handling everything while keeping your vision intact.
6. They Handle Traditions with Grace and Authenticity
Royal weddings aren’t just about lavishness—they’re deeply rooted in tradition. A Wedding Planner in Jaipur is well-versed in Indian wedding rituals, including region-specific customs.
From arranging a traditional baraat with elephants and folk dancers to organizing pujas and haldi ceremonies in the most authentic way, planners ensure that cultural respect and style go hand-in-hand.
7. Stress-Free Execution for You and Your Family
Let’s face it—weddings are emotionally charged. You want to soak in every moment, not worry about why the flower arch is missing or the DJ’s mic isn’t working.
With a Wedding Planner in Jaipur, you and your family can actually enjoy the event. From timeline management to coordinating every vendor, they handle the behind-the-scenes chaos so you can focus on making memories.
8. Royal Hospitality Management Like a Pro
A royal wedding in Jaipur often involves dozens, if not hundreds, of guests. And many of them fly in from other cities or countries.
A professional Wedding Planner in Jaipur ensures smooth hospitality—from airport pickups and welcome hampers to room arrangements and local sightseeing tours for guests. Think of them as your personal concierge team.
They'll even set up hospitality desks at hotels, arrange transport logistics, and assign guest managers to ensure a flawless guest experience.
9. They Know How to Bring the ‘Wow’ Factor
Want a royal bridal entry on an elephant with live shehnai? Or maybe a floating mandap on a pool with fireworks? You think it—they execute it.
A Wedding Planner in Jaipur doesn’t just follow trends—they set them. Their creativity turns a simple idea into a jaw-dropping experience. And the best part? They make it all seem effortless.
10. Customized Packages to Match Your Budget
Contrary to popular belief, hiring a Wedding Planner in Jaipur isn’t just for the ultra-rich. Most planners offer customizable packages that cater to different budgets and scales of celebration.
Whether you're planning an intimate destination wedding for 100 guests or a grand affair for 1000, there’s a package that fits your needs. And in most cases, the cost of hiring a planner pays for itself by saving you from overpriced vendors and last-minute disasters.
11. Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Wedding Options
Modern couples are becoming increasingly conscious about the environment. If you want your royal wedding to be grand and green, a Wedding Planner in Jaipur can help you do just that.
From plastic-free décor and digital invites to sourcing organic food and managing waste disposal, planners can make your wedding sustainable without compromising on beauty or elegance.
12. They Help Tell Your Story in Every Detail
A royal wedding isn’t about just being big. It’s about being meaningful. Whether it’s customizing the wedding invites, curating a personal hashtag, or telling your love story through décor and performances, a Wedding Planner in Jaipur helps weave your identity into every aspect of the wedding.
They’ll guide you through mood boards, storyboards, and concept development—ensuring every element speaks you.
13. Legalities and Permissions? Handled.
Planning a wedding at a heritage property or public space often requires permissions, paperwork, and local approvals. Do you really want to run around government offices before your mehendi?
Let your Wedding Planner in Jaipur take that burden off your shoulders. They’re familiar with local laws, permissions, and procedures—ensuring everything is legal, ethical, and safe.
14. Post-Wedding Services You Didn’t Even Think Of
Once the music ends and guests leave, there’s still work to do—vendor settlements, returns, feedback collection, and even media follow-ups.
A professional Wedding Planner in Jaipur offers post-wedding services too. Some even help you with honeymoon bookings, post-wedding thank-you gifts, or getting your wedding featured in bridal magazines or blogs.

Conclusion: Royal Weddings Deserve Royal Planners
Planning a royal wedding in a city like Jaipur is no small feat. It’s a blend of grandeur and emotion, tradition and trend, hospitality and storytelling. And to pull it off seamlessly, you need someone who knows the city like the back of their hand—a Wedding Planner in Jaipur.
They’re not just coordinators; they’re dream-makers, problem-solvers, and artists rolled into one. Whether you’re envisioning a royal fort celebration, a romantic palace garden affair, or an intimate yet luxurious gathering, your wedding planner will make sure your day is as majestic as you imagined.
So if you're planning a royal wedding, don’t just dream it. Live it—with the right Wedding Planner in Jaipur by your side.

Why Everyone’s Rushing to Buy Lakers Tickets Right Now

The buzz is louder than ever. Lakers Nation is alive, and fans across the globe are scrambling to secure seats at Crypto.com Arena. But this isn’t just about another NBA season—it’s something bigger. Something historic. And that’s exactly why Lakers tickets are flying off the market right now.
From blockbuster trades to celebrity-packed games and the possible last dance for legends, here’s exactly why everyone is rushing to buy Lakers tickets in 2025—and why you should act fast before it’s too late.
1. LeBron James May Be Taking His Final Bow
Whether he’s announced it officially or not, the whispers are deafening: 2025 could be LeBron James’ final season. With every dunk, assist, and buzzer-beater, fans know they might be witnessing NBA royalty for the last time.
The demand to “see LeBron live one more time” has caused:
Courtside ticket prices to double overnight
A surge in resale listings on trusted platforms like Showtime Investors
Sellouts even for weeknight matchups against mid-tier teams
If LeBron announces his retirement mid-season, expect a ticket frenzy unlike anything the NBA has seen in decades.
2. The New Superteam Is Here—and They’re Winning
The Lakers’ front office made bold offseason moves that shocked the league. With an elite lineup featuring Anthony Davis, a red-hot rookie star, and a newly acquired All-Star guard, the Lakers are not just contenders—they’re favorites.
The result?
A 12–1 home record to start the season
National TV coverage nearly every night
Fans from across the country flying in to see this dominant squad
Winning draws crowds—and this Lakers team is delivering at every level.
3. Crypto.com Arena Is the Hottest Show in Town
Going to a Lakers game is no longer just a sporting event—it’s a full-fledged Hollywood experience.
Inside the arena, fans enjoy:
Gourmet food courts and curated wine bars
Luxe lounges for VIP ticket holders
Massive LED screen shows and new fan interaction zones
The best people-watching in LA, with celebs like Bad Bunny, Adele, and Jack Nicholson courtside almost weekly
Lakers games are now more like red-carpet events, and that exclusivity drives up demand even more.
4. Limited Seat Availability from Season Ticket Holders
Unlike other teams, the Lakers have an incredibly loyal season ticket base. This means:
Fewer tickets are available to the general public
Many of the best seats are sold only through private resale channels
Most fans rely on exclusive platforms like Showtime Investors, where verified season ticket holders post extra games
If you're not connected to these sources, you’ll be fighting through bots and inflated broker pricing on generic resale sites.
5. Lakers Games Are the Perfect Social Flex
In the social media age, posting from a Lakers game is a major status symbol.
Whether you're in the 300s or sitting courtside, the entire arena experience is:
Instagrammable
TikTok-worthy
The ideal “I’m in LA and living it” moment
For tourists and locals alike, Lakers games have become a social must-do, fueling even more demand for tickets—especially for primetime matchups and weekends.
6. The Rise of Last-Minute Ticket Buying Apps
With platforms like Gametime, TickPick, and especially Showtime Investors, fans are discovering that you can still snag amazing seats at the last minute.
Here’s what fans are doing:
Watching real-time price drops
Setting alerts for specific sections (like courtside or lower bowl)
Scoring VIP packages for half price an hour before tip-off
The new digital ecosystem makes buying Lakers tickets easier, faster, and more competitive—which only adds to the rush.
7. Special Events and Theme Nights Drive Scarcity
This season, the Lakers have packed the schedule with:
Tribute games for Lakers legends
Throwback jersey nights
Halftime performances from top musical artists
Fan giveaways like bobbleheads, signed gear, and exclusive merch
These nights sell out weeks in advance, and fans are setting reminders to grab tickets as soon as they drop.
8. International Tourists Want In
The global influence of the Lakers has never been bigger. Thanks to the NBA’s growing popularity in Europe, Asia, and South America:
Thousands of international fans are building LA visits around a Lakers game
Tour companies are booking out bulk sections of the arena
Demand from overseas pushes prices up, especially for weekend games
If you’re a local or trying to attend a specific game, you’ll need to move fast before international sales make it even harder.
9. Resale Markets Are Booming—But Not All Are Equal
While platforms like StubHub and SeatGeek are flooded with options, smart fans are moving to platforms that avoid middlemen fees, like Showtime Investors.
What makes it different?
Direct listings from season ticket holders
Transparent pricing (no extra checkout fees)
Premium seat availability even after sellouts
For those looking to beat the rush and score better value, it's the inside edge fans are using to stay ahead.
10. Every Game Feels Like a Playoff Atmosphere
With sellout crowds, high stakes, and superstar performances, Lakers home games in 2025 feel like the postseason. That energy—palpable from the opening tip to the final buzzer—is addictive.
What fans are saying:
“It’s not just a game—it’s an experience you’ll talk about for years.” – Jordan P., Santa Monica
“I’ve been to playoff games before, and this energy rivals them. Everyone’s locked in, every play matters.” – Karla S., Long Beach
Final Word: Don’t Wait—Buy Your Tickets Now
With all signs pointing to a legendary Lakers season, the time to act is now. Waiting will only mean:
Higher prices
Fewer options
More frustration
Whether you’re looking for a premium experience or just want to get in the door, your best bet is to buy directly from trusted platforms like Showtime Investors, where real fans get access to real seats at real prices.
This isn’t just basketball—it’s history in the making. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it.

Practicum Week 3 (Jan 18-24) Hit REC
Hello Everybody!
Wow, I'm really enjoying this blog posting system. It's a cool way to show what I've been getting up to. I'll probably keep doing this after my practicum to show the work I'm doing on all my projects as an independent content creator. But that's not what you're here for, you're hear for what I've been up to this week!
This Week in Podcast Producing
We're at a point where planning and production is done at the same time in my opinion. I spent the Sunday setting up some appointments to get some material. My first one was with the Bishop. Before going into the interview I thought in my mind: "Well, I'm planning for the podcast to be about 20-30,minutes long with a few different segments. So this interview should be about 10-15 minutes of material." Little did I know the interview alone would be 30+ minutes long.
This was a pleasant surprise as it means I can do several short episodes more frequently if this is the amount of content I could get in a day. Sure, weekly releases mean more work, but it should be manageable with the structure I'm building for it.
Music Production?
Going back to my audio roots here! I figured I could use royalty free music for the podcast and knew some legitimate sources for some as producing a whole soundtrack for the podcast would take a lot of time. But I wanted to at the very least create an intro theme. So here's the rough demo for the intro theme for all your enjoyment:
I've been cracking on a lot of stuff and next week I'll have a lot more to share. May even do daily updates depending on how things go.
See you later!

Maximizing Your Exposure on Spotify as an Independent Artist
Spotify is one of the largest music streaming services worldwide, offering a massive platform for artists to reach listeners across the globe. Whether you're an emerging musician or a seasoned indie artist, gaining exposure on Spotify can significantly enhance your music career. As an independent artist, sharing your music on Spotify without a label gives you the chance to reach millions of potential fans while maintaining control over your music and royalties. In this article, we’ll explore key strategies to maximize your exposure and effectively use Spotify to grow your fanbase.
Understanding the Power of Spotify’s Algorithm
One of the main reasons Spotify is so influential is its sophisticated algorithm, which helps users discover new music based on their listening habits. As an independent artist, tapping into this algorithm can make a world of difference. However, it’s essential to understand how it works to increase your chances of getting noticed.
Spotify uses data to recommend songs to users. The more people listen to your track, save it, and add it to their playlists, the more likely the algorithm will recommend it to others. To take advantage of this, your goal should be to get as many plays, saves, and playlist placements as possible early on. Building momentum early in the life of your release is key to being featured on Spotify’s various curated playlists.
You can leverage Spotify’s tools like "Release Radar" and "Discover Weekly" to get added to playlists that can potentially introduce your music to a wider audience. These playlists are not just for big-name artists—indie musicians can get featured too if their music resonates with listeners.
Engaging With Your Audience on Spotify
When you share your music on Spotify without a label, you’re responsible for your promotional efforts, including engaging with your audience. One of the best ways to get noticed on Spotify is by actively engaging with your listeners. This means consistently interacting with your fans, whether on social media, within Spotify’s platform, or via email newsletters.
Spotify allows artists to customize their artist page and share updates with their followers. Use this feature to keep fans engaged and let them know about upcoming releases, concerts, or any special promotions you have. If you have a significant number of followers on Spotify, the platform will notify them whenever you release new music, increasing the chances of them engaging with your latest tracks.
Additionally, Spotify for Artists provides insightful data about your listeners’ demographics, where they’re located, and how often they listen to your music. You can use this data to tailor your marketing campaigns, reach specific regions, and even plan concert tours or promotional events.
Submitting to Playlists
Playlists are one of the most powerful ways to gain exposure on Spotify. Being added to playlists can skyrocket your streams, introduce your music to new audiences, and help you build credibility as an artist. While getting placed on popular editorial playlists like "RapCaviar" or "New Music Friday" may seem out of reach for independent artists, there are other ways to secure playlist placements.
Spotify has a feature called Spotify for Artists, which allows you to submit your songs directly to curators of editorial playlists. Even though getting featured on these high-profile playlists can be competitive, smaller independent playlists are often more accessible and can offer similar exposure. Be sure to submit your tracks to as many relevant playlists as possible.
In addition to editorial playlists, user-generated playlists are another avenue for gaining traction. Many Spotify users create their own playlists based on specific moods, genres, or themes. Reach out to these curators and offer your music for inclusion. This not only helps you increase your streams but also builds connections within the independent music community.
Optimizing Your Profile for Maximum Visibility
Your artist profile is the face of your music on Spotify, and it’s essential to optimize it to ensure maximum visibility. Your profile should reflect your brand, your identity as an artist, and what you stand for. Make sure your bio is up-to-date and engaging, and add a high-quality profile picture and header image.
A well-curated artist profile can make a huge difference in how fans perceive you. Use Spotify’s “Artist’s Pick” feature to highlight new music, merch, or other important updates. This will keep your profile fresh and encourage your followers to check back often.
Another way to enhance your profile is by using Spotify’s Canvas feature, which allows you to upload looping visuals that play during your tracks. This is a fantastic way to add a unique touch to your music and catch the attention of listeners. People are more likely to engage with content that is visually interesting, so use this tool to its fullest potential.
Using Social Media to Promote Your Spotify Music
While Spotify is a powerful tool, it shouldn’t be the only platform you rely on for exposure. Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook are great ways to drive traffic to your Spotify profile and engage with your fans in real-time. Share snippets of your music, behind-the-scenes content, and even interactive Q&A sessions to keep your audience involved.
Influencer marketing is another strategy that can amplify your presence on Spotify. Collaborating with influencers who align with your music style can expose you to a much larger audience. Influencers on TikTok, in particular, have been known to drive viral trends that have a significant impact on Spotify streams.
Consistency Is Key
Lastly, the most important factor in gaining exposure on Spotify is consistency. Regularly releasing new music, engaging with your fans, and promoting your tracks are essential for building long-term success on the platform. It might take some time to see results, but with persistence, you’ll gradually build a loyal fanbase and gain more streams and playlist placements.
By understanding Spotify’s algorithm, engaging with your listeners, submitting to playlists, and maintaining a strong social media presence, you can effectively share your music on Spotify without a label and maximize your exposure. While it requires effort and strategy, the rewards of independent success are well worth the time and energy invested.
