Honestly the main thing that makes me believe that something ACTUALLY might have happened between John and Paul is the India talk during the Get Back/Let it Be sessions.
P:"what we're doing..."
G:"What were you doing?"
J:"YES, what WERE we doing...?"
*proceeds to blow the mic*
Or like...
J: "all those songs... In your room"
P: "yeah... I remember *giggles*"
WHAT WAS THATTTTT WHAT WAS THAT THAT'S SO EMBARASSING FOR THEMMMMMM STOP THAT STOP THATTTT
but in all seriousness, if you watch the complete clip, not just the one in Get Back, you can sense the tension and the ongoing subtext...
I honestly cannot think of a better alternative other than something between John and Paul PHYSICALLY happening.
If somebody has a different opinion I would like to hear it! but for me that's the proof I need.

Of course we have all talked down a friend from committing suicide of course we never told this to anyone, not their parents not ours. We cannot tell the people who are supposed to care about it the most because they won't help, they don't know what to do and do the exact opposite. Of course you can't call a friend's mother "aunty I'm scared for them please talk them down." No. That will only lead to worsening the situation. They will scream, shout and beat their child before offering a kind word. They will say how can you do this to me? And never answer the questions how could they do this to their child. They will blame the phones, their friends when the phone is the one where they called a friend to stop them from ending it all. They won't understand that isolating them is a surefire way of making it worse, because they don't care about the child as much as they care about another aunty's opinion on what's going on. They will hide it they will never talk about it cause this society doesn't see children as people. Children are just puppets to their parents who are puppets to society. I hold each and every adult responsibile. I hold every teacher who said why won't you think ofyour parents, of every aunty who doesn't care about us gossiping in guise of care i hold each and everyone responsible for you have failed your child when you were supposed to protect them
The only ones you are protecting is society, those in power. You won't let your child say that the syllabus is shit nor will you let them say a bad word against teachers who deserve it(cause teachers are gods, don't you know? I guess even demons seem like gods to the blind)
You think of your child not as a person but just an extension of you therefore you never understand that your child had individual emotions you don't understand they are not you and not everything they do is about you
You Have never once considered what your child thinks or feels you have never once centred them in their life's decision. You expect them to follow your will, yyour desires. You say 'i gave them food shelter education ' congrats you fulfilled your duties. Congrats you are providing the basic needs of a child who you conceived of your own will. If you think they should fawn over you for it you should've stuck to dolls.
I blame you. I blame all those who have never been a safe space for someone to confide in, i blame you for not being there when your child is about to jump and instead for blaming their friends who are the ones who talked them down in the first place.
Think of your child as a person for once in your life.
Note : every "you" here is not the reader. You is referring to adults, parents who failed to provide a safe space, who centered themselves in a child's hurt.

Boop! I disagree about the cities; since they lack the natural habitat (too much concrete, cars, noises, no wildlife, no forest / desert / beach), they always attract people who haven't really bonded with their family so they try to get that comfort from being in a large group. And since the majority of people don't even own their homes in the city, they do not invest time and effort into decorating it. Whereas, in the rural areas, people know each other, they own their homes and make them pretty, and they stay longer in one place. Wishing you a good Fourth Advent! 💌
I've had a really rough week, I'm working on the weekend as well and Monday we're going to the sludge basement again so it'll be nothing but nonstop fun fun fun for me, anon. You make good points but that wasn't always the case. Lots of tight knit ethnic communities formed in these cities at one point and some continue to do so. These communities were deliberately destroyed using blockbusting shortly after desegregation to break the powerblocks a tight knit community inevitably creates. Once these people were spread to the winds and the solidarity collapsed, the cities inevitably fell into the hands of the elites who had little to worry about from the atomized individuals left within. This current situation isn't the norm by any means and it was done deliberately to reduce the political power of the average American

@maya-why The primary objective of caste-based reservations is not for economic upliftment. That is simply a by-product and consequence. The primary goal of caste based reservation is to guarantee representation of the community that has been denied representation in the public field, has been denied basic human rights.
A poor Brahmin is hampered by economic disadvantage. A poor Dalit is hampered by economic and social disadvantages. A poor Brahmin student does not run the risk of being denied food, water and companionship by their peers. Even a rich Dalit student runs the risk of being ostracized and bullied far more than their upper caste peers. Dalits and STs face some of the highest suicide rates in India. Rohith Vemula, Dr Payal Tadvi, Darshan Solanki, these are not merely coincidences.
Also, your argument about reservations on the basis of economic background is moot because even today in India, the wealth distribution is determined by one's caste. Only 22.3% of upper caste Hindus hold over 40% of the country's wealth while 7.8 per cent of Hindu Scheduled Tribes own only 3.7 per cent. The share of wage labourers among SCs was 63% (2011-12 NSSO statistics). 32% of the casual labourers in the country are SCs when their total population share is 16%.
Caste IS linked to one's socioeconomic background. This is because caste has been weaponized to maintain the status quo by upper caste, landowning Hindus. SC households own merely 9.5% of the total land in India and the average land each SC household owned was half of that owned by 'other' households.
In other words, if you feel that caste based reservations are unjust, then remember that they exist because systematic, caste based discrimination still exists in the country. Maybe you don't see it because your privilege makes the discrimination invisible. But I promise you, it is there. If you want caste based reservations to end in India, then first fight for ending caste based discrimination in India.

Farmers are angry and protesting across Europe, India, seemingly all over the world. What exactly do they want – and do they have a point?

We're destroying our environment at an alarming rate. But it doesn't need to be this way. Our new channel Planet A explores the shift towards an eco-friendly world — and challenges our ideas about what dealing with climate change means. We look at the big and the small: What we can do and how the system needs to change. Every Friday we'll take a truly global look at how to get us out of this mess.
