When will the world let go of white supremacy. Like ik that my country with so much diversity can still be racist to dark skinned and people with features like monolids even though they are Indians themselves.

Basically north Indians, sharing border with China, have physical features like monolids. South Indians are dark skinned.

And knowing that they will discriminate against all races like this unless it's white skinned people is so sad.

But when they have to face that discrimination in their lives, they will know.

Well I wasn't necessarily talking about that but that's also a very good point

It was more about how Mughal history is perceived rn which is very very similar to what Company reported back to the crown to make them believe India is just in shambles and needs to be saved. We miss out on a lot of nuances of how India came to be how it is today if we keep reiterating British logic of Mughal = bad

In fact the Mughal era was labelled as the dark ages by western historians which ignores the fact that history was never recorded chronologically in India and boxing eras in different "ages" is a very European positivist way to write history which isn't exactly good

But it's definitely related to what you said too! The whole narrative of 'oh poor Hindus didn't get to live out their glorious traditions because of Mughal rule' is such a disservice to history and that's exactly what Brits made Hindutva supporters believe for their own selfish reasons.

It's actually very funny to me that Hindutva supporters and other Hindu fanatics rely a lot on the narrative that was created by the Britishers to justify their actions

They tell us that we're reading the wrong history and then tell us more twisted narratives like that's gonna make them better than rest of us💀

SOOOO my OCD developed a new obsession yesterday and I didn’t realise it was OCD and then today I woke up like “huh this anxiety is familiar AH FUCK OCD-“ anyways yeah so that happened, but i’m getting better at dealing w/ OCD so ye :))

Soooo I managed to get quite a bit of writing doen yesterday! This new chapter is gonna be long as fuck bc the damn thing is 9k words and Ill go over it a few times more but yeah lmfao

I got a new book btw!! It’s called “Rebels and Redcoats” and its so fukcing exciting oh my god I love it so muchhhh ahhhhh
